I (33f) and my husband (34m) have been in a commitment and solid relationship since we were 18.

Background: We met online in a game in two separate states. We moved in together in his state and got married in court during lockdown in 2021. Neither of us are close with our families because of their extremely conservative and religious convictions. I am romantically attracted to women more than sexually which I confessed to my husband at a later time in our relationship. I didn’t have and don’t have any interest in other women since we met. I later shared with him my spiritual beliefs and practices as a witch that I suppressed since I was caught by my mother as a teenager. I was shammed a lot for being me growing up. I grew up in a very emotionally unstable home. I also did not receive the supports I needed as a child with adhd and autism that developed anxiety and depression. There is a lot behind that but it is what it is at this point. This being said, my dad also has adhd and mental illnesses that he would display with subtle to full outbursts of anger and my mom unresolved childhood neglect and bullying and what I believe to be some form(s) of intellectual deficits which severely affected her self esteem and her almost unhealthy strong attachment to me. So I grew up to be a clusterfuck of mental, emotional, developmental and spiritual instability. I was also bullied and suffered betrayals from friendships because of various factors often due to my neurodivergent behaviors. So as to be expected, I 100% formed an anxious attachment style. Please look it up so you are familiar with this. It’s a big part of the conundrum I’m in.

My husband had slowly loosened up on his own strict conservative programming since he started seeing me become happier and more secure in myself since I started practicing my personal spirituality again and dropping my “mask” more often and being that weird quirky neurodivergent girl more openly and working so hard on myself to overcome my childhood traumas and the shame that stifled my authentic self. And that was great! Until it wasn’t for me in our monogamous relationship.
He guilted me (unintentionally) into having a threesome 2x with a woman who we ended up having a sort of friendship afterword but I was always very mentally off put by it but faked being ok for a while. After each of the 2x weeks apart, I became very emotionally numb to my husband. Like my heart literally froze and I was feeling almost like a cold-hearted bitch, even telling my husband I wanted a divorce. Mind you, he was in a bad mental state at this time in which I didn’t really know because he never truly expressed his actual emotions much. I found out later that he had been feeling pretty severe distress from his mom who has been making horrible mistakes and acting like a spoiled child begging him for money and complaining to him about her constant fights with her sister who was like a second mom to him in which he kept being placed in the center. I have my own traumas from her due to a psychiatric break she had which was slowly building that we weren’t aware of until she snapped fully disconnecting from reality and the entire time I was the center of her hostilities, likely because I was taking her baby boy from her - if you’re Hispanic, you understand this atrocity I was committing 🙄. My poor husband was under her thumb to the point he was completely sheltered and dependent on her - as a full grown man in his 20s until I literally helped him become an independent man in thought and lifestyle. So imagine that stress being in the middle and then having me add in to that with my constant complaining and irritation with his mom’s bs affecting us constantly in one way or another.
And then ADD TO THAT he was suffering severe caregiver burnout because I’ve been chronically ill since we met and still in that stage where all my doctors were telling me I was just anxious so they didn’t have to actually do their due diligence, which was then exacerbated significantly after I was in a car accident and they couldn’t figure out was was wrong for almost 2-3 years until I got the right care and back on my feet- kind of. I have been off and on disability - including a SI attempt last March - for about 6 yrs now. So my husband has been my main support for almost 12-13 years of our relationship. I obviously am not close to my parents (and because my dads a money hungry idiot I was always moving around California for his next big promotion which separated me at 7yrs old from my then 22yr old sister and her 2yr old daughter).
When he finally broke down and told me, we had a long and difficult talk with so many tears and a bit step toward healing ourselves individually and as partners. Don’t get me wrong, we had our fair share of misunderstandings and issues but we always came together stronger and closer. I thought before this significant issue that I had the most wonderful and strong marriage in the world. I mean, not only was he still there, but he helped me get back up every time I wanted to give up which allowed me so much success and the ability to purchase our 2nd home by the time we were 32yrs old. The 1st house we had to sell because of the accident and we hit rock bottom, and then we got this one a year ago and almost lost it again due to my health.
We worked to a point where we were happy again. Like the kids who met and fell in love 15yrs ago. We just had the PERFECT date day (we had 6 separate exciting things packed into that day). At the end of the night we walked around the lake by our house and sat down on a bench overlooking the water when after some time snuggling and laughing and talking about our day…. He confessed something major to me. Something that has made me feel that slipping of warmth in my heart for him once again.
He brought up the poly thing again. But this time, he said after much research and soul searching, he identifies as polyamorous. I asked him if he meant he wanted just flings or something with other people or if he meant… romantic relationships as well. With sadness in his voice he confirmed. He wanted a romantic relationship outside of me. This is why he hadn’t been wearing his wedding ring in a long time. It started during to his skin condition on his hand but when it healed he lied and said it bothers his hand whenever I’d ask after that.
I know he will always keep me as the permanent primary partner I guess they call it, but I just can’t get over this intense sense of anger, jealousy, fear of abandonment. Remember that anxious-attachment style? Well this is the WORST NIGHTNARE for someone with that type of attachment.
It feels almost like he punched me square in the chest with all his strength and this boy has some serious biceps. I love him so much and as much as I want to tell him no, that I am his wife and I will be the only one because HE is MY husband, that would lead to that awful resentment we both held for what felt like ages. You know that saying? If you love them, let them go? That’s how I feel. He has made it so clear he will always be at my side and that his love for me is everything. But he can’t deny who he is and I can’t rip that part out of him and burn it until not even ashes remain.
I know he would be a complete and utter mess if I divorced him, but I feel so devastated. He has done so much research and I asked him to give me the resources he said he’d collected for me to understand him and what this whole polyamory thing is. I love this man with all of my being. He’s my soulmate. Or I guess… was.
I don’t want to feel this way but I don’t know how I’m going to get over this right now. We talked about couples counseling but my heart and anxiety want to just throw in the towel to avoid any more pain.

The videogame "The Crew", published by Ubisoft, was recently destroyed for all players and had a playerbase of at least 12 million people. Due to the game's size and France's strong consumer protection laws, this represents one of the best opportunities to hold a publisher accountable for this action. The Petition
Official government petitions have been introduced to prohibit the practice of intentionally rendering commercial videogames inoperable when support ends. Currently, petitions for the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have been launched and will soon be open for signing. Plans are also underway for the European Union, but will unfortunately be delayed due to processing times. I ask this because I’ve noticed when I’m struggling with my mental health or I’m pushing myself past my limits. I receive no help or coincidental betterment. And I feel like this “Luck factor” has a lot to do with how I interact with people and how much I interact with people
I’ve went through 2 years with only online interaction with the outside world and I gained nothing I worked for nothing I achieved nothing and at the end of it I asked my self if I got what I wanted or what I thought I deserved which in my case was friends people naturally wanting to socialize with me a new way to make money etc etc it didn’t come and I believe that it’s because I put no effort in
However in another instance this value of effort contradicts itself
A few years back my son was being made I was going to school 8hr per day 5x per week and then going to work 8-12 hours 5x per week and I was making time to do plasma donation and it got to a point where my mental health was awful and i would tell myself it’s ok to get going because if I quit my son won’t have a father that is actually able to be in his life because he doesn’t have enough money to provide and I was also in abusive relationship so it ended up getting to a point where I didn’t have enough time to sleep and I would get less than 4 hours of sleep most nights with a 30 min nap sometime during the day then I crashed my car Then I crashed my gf car Then My son was born and my mom kicked us out and we moved to California And I just kept on rolling and rolling and rolling annnnnnnd ROLLLLLING with the punches
But towards the end aswell as throughout it I thought ya know I’m lucky to have a son to look forward to I’m lucky to even still have this job I’m lucky to have an option other than homeless And that’s gratitude and I don’t really believe in luck but I do believe my is the thing that kept me alive

So I just started a CNA position and currently in training for it.
Anyway. On Wednesday, we were told during orientation that our training would take place at a different facility. The location is about 33 or 34 minutes away from where I live and a bit farther from where I'm supposed to work.
So I told my mom and asked her is that too far for training and she was like" meh, it's really a straight shot from where we live." I was like I guess it isn't that bad.
I'm also on a personal goal to stick to what needs to be done, instead of constantly bitching when something seems difficult or a hassle. Since not everything is easy and you can't always drop out when you "don't wanna do something". So I shrugged it off.
So Friday, when I went back for shadowing, during the last hours of our shift, one of the hired CNAs asked me which facility we'd be going to, A or B. I was a bit shocked because I didn't know there were other options available. I'm from the IT world so needing to go elsewhere for trainings and etc is odd. Plus, the coordinators are not needed since we were always in a separate department . I'm noticing that in this facility, the coordinator is not very detailed oriented, and she's always popping in and out of places and rarely available. I almost was not able to work here because she wasn't keeping up her end of the updates on when I could start orientation. I had to be really adamant to get her to update me.
Anyway, during this conversation, my mom does this thing where she always inserts her personal life into our discussions. She used to work in mental health as a younger person.
In the middle of our discussion she starts to say, "you need to ask more. Just cause she didn't tell you there were options doesn't mean you don't need to ask". And I was like, "how would I even know if that was something to ask?, I had no idea there were other facilities they could choose from". I then ask her that why is that she felt like I needed to be coached? I expressed that I wasn't familiar with these sort of things and I didn't know.
She then tried to flip the switch and say that she suggested I asked for other locations days ago and tried to shame me and go on a "you never listen to what I tell you until it's too late". I had to step in and let her know that she was about to lie and that there was no way that she asked me that. I had to remind her word for word on what she stated. She lied. She first said that she didn't suggest it because she didn't want to discourage me and have me quit. Then she said that I was just upset that she wasn't agreeing with me. At last, after that, she tried to be funny and say how most times she's not listening to me .
I felt like the last reason was her just admitting to playing devil's advocate whenever I try to talk with her. Whenever I rant about something or etc, she's always doing that "why didn't you do this", "you should've done that", "how come you didn't think to..?", " if it was me I would've done this.."
So I called out how she tried to lie and change the memory to make herself seem like she always knows what to do or what to say.
Half the time, most times when I ask her something life related, she rarely even knows the answer but all of a suddenly, I should've asked her.
Something like this happened but It was about a food delivery issue with me and doordash. I had to cut them off and my mom was wondering why I didn't take it a step further and basically sue them... I kept asking her why would I need to sue over a simple food issue instead of just making them repay me the order .

I’m located in Oakland California, and desperate for help.
Story:
I had made an advanced GetAround booking (airbnb of car renting) of two days.
On the first day, an unfortunate incident occurred at night where I was driving on a popular main street and suddenly the front left tire of the car blew out (no other damage at all).
I safely pulled over and was luckily within stone’s throw of my house and also where the car needed to be returned back to.
Upon investigation of the spot where it occurred, I discovered the cause: An absolutely ugly and dangerous pothole on the left edge of the lane which wasn’t there just a few days ago.
While I was investigating it, several other cars too were not able to see it clearly at night and thus had ugly run ins with it. One car’s hub cap came right off.
I had had a pleasant interaction with the owner prior to using his car and so out of good faith I decided to immediately reach out to him and let him know of what had happened.
He was very cool and understanding about it and said not to worry and that to end the trip so he could get his mechanic to fix it. I was to leave the car where I’d pulled over.
I then reached out to GetAround about this and they sent me a questionnaire about the incident and asked me to attach all the relevant imagery and what not to build the case for the insurance team.
I did so within 24h and sent it over.
It has been 75+ days now since nothing satisfactory has come of this from their end.
As usual, I had to be the one to follow-up for any updates. And when it wasn’t silence, the only other response I would get was “the claims team is working on it and we’ll let you know soon”.
Finally, one day, after badgering them for their atrocious customer service on social media they got a human to call me.
This person sounded helpful and assured me he would do his best to figure this out and that he would get back to me in no more than 24h with a conclusion.
He never did.
I followed-up again but they now keep saying “we’re unable to do anything because the owner hasn’t filed a claim from their side, and so until the owner participates in this nothing can be done”.
Throughout these 75+ days I have of course tried contacting the owner through several means ranging from his direct number to the in-app chat on GetAround, he is completely unresponsive.
I even have google street view photos showing that the pothole used to be patched-up once upon a time confirming that it was a known problem that was meant to be solved and could not be anticipated for by a driver at night who is used to that popular road being free of potholes.
I had even bought insurance with the car and yet they treated me like a peasant and have charged me the full price for the trip + a $10 fee for “missing fuel” which I couldn’t have ever refueled due to the car being incapacitated.
How to go about this? This is now more about the principle to me than the exact dollar amount.
I hate GetAround to my core.
P.S. I can imagine getting replies to this asking about sharing exact details like photos of the flat tire and of the pothole etc. and the reason I didn’t put them in yet is because I don’t want to bloat the post.
I have them all ready at a moment’s notice so if any of you say that the details are crucial for you to be able to help just let me know and I’ll immediately post them.

I travel to California all the time because in-laws. Here in Colorado I can have autos, axis locks, whatever I want, mostly. No balisongs or gravity knives but otherwise pretty much awesome season.
I know California knife laws are wonky and complicated, and vary widely across county and municipality. Generally what I'm wondering is does the Stitch meet the state requirements of "knives that are opened by applying pressure to the blade(s) of the knife and have a mechanism that provides resistance in opening the blade."
Right now my EDC is a Spyderco Manix 2 XL. It has a... ball bearing lock? I open it by "applying pressure to the blade" via the thumbhole, but I could see how it could be said to "open with centrifugal force" with a "flick of the wrist" by pulling the lock switch and letting the blade "fall out" then flicking it open.
I don't want to risk having it confiscated or worse, getting arrested for it, so I leave it at home, instead opting to carry a Gayle Bradley 2, which is a simple liner lock with a thumbhole, which I feel like is safe?
Anyway, the Microtech Stitch has a similar locking mechanism to the Maxix 2 XL, or for instance the Benchmade Axis system. That is, a double-sided switch that when pulled back, disengages the locking mechanism and lets the blade swing free to close it, or open it I guess, which is of course the problem.

As graham Hess and his family prepares for the impending invasion and make a meal as if they know it was going to be their last night, the town in which they lived were also boarding up their doors windows. Gun store owners start to supply the citizens and officers with weapons. Hoping to fight of the invaders. Invaders which they can’t see. They feel like they are alone. The national guard has been deployed in the town to keep the peace and stop looters. The mayor has gone into hiding. And churches have filled up with people praying and hoping to god that he may protect them. Ray has gone to the lake and set up camp. To protect himself. Meanwhile, all over the United States the military has been activated. The army, the United States marines and navy. In California, the lights that were seen in Mexico City have begun appearing all over the state. Los Angeles have begun seeing lights of the coast and in the farm lands. Kansas City has also begun seeing the lights. And the rest of the United States have begun seeing them. Reports of 400 lights are being reported in every state. Mexico City begins to transmit an emergency alert. Reports of creatures flooding the streets start to come into the studios. The United States begins to see creatures around the same time Mexico sees them. In California, the us marines and army have begun seeing the creatures. The invasion has begun. News reporters in Kansas are streaming when they hear shots being fired. The citizens have begun fighting. These creatures are using some sort of spray. These creatures are camouflaged giving them the advantage to grab people and spraying them. The citizens shoot at the creatures. Hurts them but only angers them. At the Hess home the creatures have begun to break in the home. The family dog has its neck broken: three creatures enter the home. One is going through the vents in the basement. Grabbing Morgan. Meanwhile in California the marines and the army now have find out that the weapons are useless. Across the state there are now 120 people poisoned by the creatures. 30 of them are kids. Kansas City and Texas are struggling to fight back. The national guard has learned that the lights are slowly leaving. 320 lights are now present in each states or less now. In the Middle East Israel has found a method to defeat the creatures. Water. Instead of using ammunition the Israeli defense forces began using water tankers. The kind that is used for riots. Without them knowing it would work, they used them. And just as they have their faith the water has immobilized the creatures and killing them. The news of the water began to spread through out the land and other countries. The news of this hasn’t reached the United States yet. But by morning time the creatures have been retreating. The battle for earth has been won. But like Morgan said if they are defeated then they could come back hundreds or even thousands of years later or they could win. Meanwhile in the town where the Hess live the battle was over. As Morgan and bo, graham and Merrill hear the reports over the radio That the battle is over and Middle East has found a way to beat them. But no word on yet how. And the rest we know what happens. Alien gets killed by water. Weeks or months happens and the alien is no longer there. The police secretly remove the creature and the family goes back to normal. Hello all, a little back story. 5 years ago I worked for a Sheriff’s Office in the jail and got my X26 Taser certification and rode the lightning. Thinking back on it, I would rather be shot with a 12 gauge than ride the lightning again due to pre-existing childhood trauma of being electrocuted. Hi all, thanks in advance. In California, my wife and I have been together for 19 years. We own our home and my disabled mother rents a studio apartment built out of the back. 3 weeks ago my spouse and I got in to an argument. When we argue we have agreed to have separate sections of the house, she gets essentially a 1 bedroom apartment that has been sectioned off and holds all her clothes and things. During this argument she intentionally burst in to my section of our home, physically attacked me, sat down on the ground and would not leave when asked. The only proof I have of physical attack is a ripped shirt from the evening.
There have been many times where she gets upset, either because of a large fight or a small misunderstanding, and she disappears for weeks at a time. She blocks my phone number, refuses to discuss the home we own or pertinent life stuff. She will show up at the house unannounced despite us agreeing to communicate so we won't be here at the same time, she comes in to my space without letting me know despite us building an apartment in the back of our house specifically for her use. She physically attacks me sometimes, she will scream over and over at the top of her lungs that I am physically abusing her when I am multiple rooms away (as an intimidation tactic, I'm sure the neighbors can hear it). She blacks out during our fights, she's admitted this, but then accuses me of things I haven't done. When I ask her for when such and such happened she won't discuss it.
It's not a good situation and she shouldn't be here but my dilemma is that this time she waited for me to leave the house for an out of town trip and then took $8000 of the $9000 we had without telling me. This locked my card and left me stranded. The specific amounts she chose to take were my unlucky number and our anniversary date is what she claimed she left in, intentionally vindictive. Since then she has refused to discuss an amicable split of things (I've given her an itemized list with my thoughts on each item). She says she won't pay any of our bills or confirm if or how long she plans to give me cash to live on or move. I am currently not working, she is the sole supporter and has always made a substantial amount more than I.
She took our only running vehicle and refuses to return it or come up with a plan for us to find her a reliable vehicle. This car isn't registered, last was out of state, it won't pass smog here, and needs a lot of work). I can't spend the little bit of money I have fixing one of our cars until I know she isn't going to take it. I have lost work because I don't have a car to get around.
She has told me her plan is to let the home be foreclosed on and she won't be coming back, that I am not allowed to rent the attached open adu/apartment that is in the back. She sent me a sale estimate from our title company, it shows we would need to at least spend $30k to sell our home outright, but has not addressed where this money will come from. I have asked numerous times for her to provide the lawyer benefits info that her work provides for both of us and she won't send me it despite telling me that she is represented through the same service. She even told me last night she had thought about taking our two cats out of our home and when I said I wasn't comfortable with her removing our pets to a friends house she is staying at with an address she won't share she told me to "Fuck off" and won't confirm she won't remove them.
She has simply said that she does not care, she won't be "taken advantage of" and that she is forcing me to stay in the home until the bank sends the sheriffs to kick me and my severely disabled mother out in to the street. If we go through with the divorce, from what I can tell, she can request for the judge to force a short sale on the home if I can't refinance in my name alone, which I can't. We spent our life savings last a little under 2 years ago buying this home, I have absolutely no desire to become a renter again and give it up. I am hoping she starts being reasonable but I can't rely on that, and I absolutely can't trust her. She keeps telling me we will "talk about it in front of a judge" but won't say when she plans to file for divorce. She is dragging this out as long as possible and taking my resources so I can't protect myself or pay for the home and obligations we both agreed to.
The only plan I can see is to present my case to a judge for a domestic violence restraining order. I would ask for temporary control of our property, namely the home. I'd also ask for at least half of her income until our divorce is finalized, with the judge deciding what the final spousal support split would be at that time. From what I understand I can ask for her to continue taking care of the bills she covered and that's all of them (I don't want her to be without what she needs financially though). I would ask for her to not be allowed with a certain distance of me or our house, I am worried she will take things, threaten tenants, etc. She has already told me and my sister that she is going to our home to serve my mother eviction papers, and has asked multiple times for me to do so. This has all happened in a very short time and I have been very reasonable with her and willing to work on a plan.
Any ideas thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, I really don't want to do any of this but need advice since it looks like I might have to.

So far the car needs the following: submitted by Thechamp346 to RX7 [link] [comments] -New turbo lines, likely rebuilt turbo -Repaint, but worth noting the car is rust free beyond the rusted hubs. California car. -front left fender needs light bodywork. -Other basic C&C. Check/repair lines, etc. -new mounts for the bride seats. Other than that, everything is there and works properly. Doors, etc. I'm honestly shocked how good of shape the thing is in. Badges and such as well, even though they aren't in the photos. Compression was above 100 while the engine was hot, all three faces of both rotors, so good in that regard as well. The engine was rebuilt at some point but he says he isn't sure when or who did the work. Turbos are making boost within the expected threshold for these cars. Our agreed upon price is $13,600. The guy has been extremely reasonable with me, and has answered all my questions diligently, but I'm still a bit apprehensive as I know how easy it is to hide problems with these cars. I will be test driving it and double checking compression in person... But I wanted to ask here to see what other rotor heads thought about this, especially with the price I'm paying. At this point he has removed the listing and is simply waiting for me to get over to him to buy the thing. I was lucky enough to message him first, and he has been respectful of that since we started discussing me purchasing the car. |

My ex is a deadbeat who puts on the typical show every time he sees our son. Waterworks, says his entire world revolves around his kid and how sad he is to be separated from him etc etc. Lmao but the SECOND I told his lazy ass I wanted a divorce so that we could ACTUALLY split parenting 50/50, he packed up his bags and moved 2 hours away and then complains that he never gets to see his son even though he's never fought for more time with him and does his best to get our son off his hands as early as possible on his days. There was 0 reason for him to move so far away. He has no friends or family in that town. He likes to claim it was "for a better job opportunity" but he's literally just a line cook. Exactly the same as he was in the town we lived in together. Him moving away has extended this divorce process so much too. He put absolutely no effort into getting the paperwork in order. He didn't pay a dime to file it either.

He tells me about all the women he's pursuing too. He's the last person on the planet that should ever be dating, let alone multiple women.
Then he left at 4 pm. We still needed to get one of the divorce documents notarized. Gotta wait until next Friday to do that, I guess. I was FLAMING mad at him, but he didnt give a fuck. He still left. My sister had a piano recital I needed to go to and when I got home, he immediately left. I found out he didn't even make our son lunch. Lmao ugh. I just wanted to complain for a second. I'm so exhausted and REALLY needed a break this weekend. Instead I let my dumbass be tricked yet again into caring for two toddlers.
