Thought I’d write up a few tips about going to a baseball game in Yokohama with a young kid. I know it’s super specific, but I thought it might be helpful for families thinking of including a baseball game in their itinerary! While some of these tips are specific to Yokohama Stadium, some may apply to other stadiums as well. I'd love to hear abut other very family-friendly stadiums!
We’ve gone to games at Yokohama Stadium (DeNA Baystars) several times with a 4-5 year old kid. I actually know very little about baseball, but I love going to games in Japan!
First of all, Yokohama Stadium is super family friendly. There’s a stroller check, momaro nursing “pods,” and changing pads in the women’s restroom (no idea about the men’s). Plus toilet stalls with baby chairs to keep them secure while mom uses the facilities. Lots of kids and toddlers attend the games, including plenty of infants in baby carriers. It’s very clean, safe, and comfortable. The fans are respectful, and the crowd management feels very safe.
There’s a great park area (jungle gym, sandbox, etc) just outside the stadium, and it’s easy to pop in and out during the game (reentry allowed until the 7th inning). You’ll see lots of parents with their kids out there during the game (we swap during the game when kid gets bored).
The food is great for kids! Standard french fries and karaage, but also shumai, gyoza, etc since it’s close to Chinatown and the area is known for it. My kid particularly loves mikangori— shaved ice with canned mikans on it. And FYI in addition to the standard “beer girls,” there are also girls selling Baskin-Robbin’s ice cream roaming the aisles; you can just flag them down from your seat!
Buy souvenirs before/during the game! If you want to, it’s super fun to get all the cheering gear to use during the game— mini bats to hit together to make noise, a towel with a favorite player (or mascot) to wave, etc. Almost everyone in the park wears some sort of team gear (hat, jersey, etc), it can be fun to hype them up with some gear before going into the park. My kid adores the Baystars mascot DB Starman and you’ll see tons of cute toys. We picked up a Sanrio collab toy this time around— Kuromi in Baystars gear!
Things to be aware of with kids:
Day games are HOT. Wear a hat, sunscreen, and stay hydrated. Bring a mini fan and neck cooletowel if you can. Lots of parents take kids out on the backside of the stadium to chill in shade and snack during the game. Honestly we’ll probably switch to night games now that kid is a little older and can stay up later.
You can bring food and drink in— just no cans or bottles. However I find the food in the stadium reasonably priced, only find long lines during certain times, and there are vending machines everywhere. But definitely saw some families bringing in McDonalds!
Be sure to check the website to see if there’s any special event going on for that game. For example this weekend there’s a DJ/food truck event on the field after the game. My kid was so excited to be able to walk around on the field.
If your kid likes cheerleading, the cheerleaders have a website where you can see their performance schedule (before games, etc). It’s very popular with kids, and the girls are really nice when they do community events! We like to watch their performance outside the stadium before the game, then play a bit on the playground before finally heading into to watch the game.
If your family likes live sports, I’d really consider including a baseball game on your itinerary, it’s really a lot of fun, even if kid doesn’t have the patience to watch a whole game. 5 year old happily spent 4 hours or so watching the game, eating, checking out souvenirs, and playing in the park, etc. Yeah, as a parent I didn't get to watch the whole game, but that was fine, it was a fun outing in any case.

I'll try to keep this brief to avoid being confusing. The doctors I am questioning the behavior of are my OBGYN and the doctor who was supposed to perform my HSG.
My OBGYN ordered for me to do an HSG. She did not tell me what would happen other than dye being injecting. When I was leaving, a nurse stopped to ask if I had been prescribed any pain medications, I said no, and so she sent me back for my doctor to prescribe pain medications (so I was NOT warned it would be painful by my doctor).
I show up for the HSG, the nurse tries to inject me with an anti-spasmodic. I say hold on, does this interact with my epilepsy medications? (My OBGYN knows I'm epileptic, and I've seen first hand that it's written in my file along with the medications I take.)
The nurse gets the doctor that will perform the procedure. That doctor then loudly and repeatedly refuses to perform the procedure unless another doctor greenlights it because, "I'm not taking responsibility if something goes wrong."
I ask this doctor several times if she had bothered to even look at my file before trying to start the procedure/process, and she refuses to answer.
They try contacting my OBGYN (she works at another hospital a few days per week) and she says, "I'm busy with other patients, figure it out." For unknown reasons, they never bother calling a pharmacist.
So then I'm kicked out of the room after 2 hours of back and forth.
Afterward I'm very upset (other unprofessional behavior happened by other staff members at the hospital as well but not relevant to this question). I contact my OBGYN's assistant, she says she'll talk to my OBGYN the following day because she (the assistant) also thinks the HSG doctor was acting inappropriately.
Next day, I get a message from the assistant basically saying that my OBGYN said that finding out whether medications and medical procedures she's ordered are safe for me is NOT her (the OBGYN) job. I'm not new to visiting different doctors, and I've had doctors refer to other doctors because they themselves weren't familiar with PCOS or epilepsy, but I've NEVER had a doctor tell me it's not their job to make sure what they're prescribing me is safe? In fact, my previous OBGYN specifically asked for the contact information for my neurologist so she could collaborate treatment with her.
Despite my very different experiences, the fact that 2 doctors at this hospital both claimed it wasn't their jobs to ensure a medical procedure or medication is safe is making me question myself.
From my perspective, it seems like they're being lazy. If you aren't willing or able to treat a patient with medical problems, why are you a doctor? Why would you even bother accepting me as a patient? What do you do when you have a patient with undiagnosed medical conditions?
But nonetheless, is it somehow possible every doctor I've had previously was just going the extra mile, and these doctors are correct that its not their job?
And honestly, it really bothers me that I was pushed to do an HSG instead of take my next round of fertility drugs without being informed that the procedure would likely be painful. I didn't get to do an HSG or do fertility treatments so I basically lost a whole cycle for nothing.
My husband is going to the hospital administration about the other professionalism issues in this hospital, but I'm wondering how big of a deal should be made about these doctors?

Hey all! This is just a quick little thing that happens to continue to this day. So, I'm here to tell you what that is...feel free to share your thoughts.
My wife and I purchased a home here in Kentucky. After three years of apartments, we finally got a house that fit all the requirements. We signed the paperwork Jan 2023. Which happened to have landed on Friday the 13th. Of all days.
The seller of the home insisted that she has nothing but good luck on Friday the 13th, even to go as far as telling us that her and her husband were wed on Friday the 13th. This had been a first, so we went with it and signed on the dotted line.
We have now lived in the home going on a year and a half. Things are great. The reason I'm writing this is because December of 2023, there was a sudden shift in normality here within the home. It was a Wednesday night, and it was getting close to midnight. My wife was playing Fortnite, while the baby was asleep on the couch next to her. I was just getting out of the shower and headed back downstairs. My wife was telling me that she was ready for bed, and asked if I could carry the baby up to the room and put him in the crib. I said yes and picked him up, carried him up to the room and gently placed him in the crib to sleep for the rest of the night in his snug bed. I kissed my wife goodnight and told her that I was going to game for a little while before I came to bed. She didn't like it too much but assured me that I need to come to bed within in a decent time. I agreed and headed back downstairs. It was about 1 hour into the early morning after my wife had gone to sleep, and I was getting tired slowly. I had taken my headphones off and closed the game app that I had running. Now, to quickly give you a vision, our front door entrance leads either upstairs, or left, to the dining room, or right, to the living room. In the living room, just above, is the master bedroom. I was sitting on the couch facing away from the front door. Out of nowhere I hear, clear as day, footsteps going all over the bedroom. It wasn't just creaking of the house either. This was the exact sound of footsteps, going from one part of the room to the other. I was stuck to my seat just listening to what sounded like an actual person in the room. Just creeping around.
My wife was dead asleep, so I know that she was not moving about the room. Once I had heard enough, I began to head upstairs to see what the hell was going on. I slowly opened the door and to my surprise, there was nothing at all. Not a thing in the room that would prove that someone was in our home walking around about the master bedroom. I was so confused. I closed the door and headed back downstairs to lock up the house, turn the TV off and get the dog to come up to the room.
The next day, I woke up and got the baby to go downstairs, while my wife slept in. It was about two more hours until she woke up, so I made sure the coffee was made and that breakfast was done. Once she was awake and settled in, I felt like I needed to tell her what I heard. "Babe, I wanted to tell you something", I said. She looked at me and smiled and said, "Okay, what is it"? I was really hoping that I wasn't going to scare her too much, but I had to just tell her what it was. " Okay, well, last night after you went to bed and I was gaming downstairs, it was about an hour into the night, and I heard very clear footsteps going from one part of the room to the other. As if they were creeping and walking slowly around the room". Her smile went from cheerful, to just straight faced. I knew it, I scared her and now I really stepped in it. " Are you kidding me"? She exclaimed. I took a step back and reassured her that I came upstairs to check on the room, to find that there was nothing there at all. So, I turned everything off and headed up to bed to be with them.
" Well, that's great, we have a ghost that's just walking about the room at night while we sleep", my wife said. I rolled my eyes and told her that I wanted to give it a few more times to see if maybe this was just a onetime thing. " Let's see if I hear anything else this coming week, and if I do, we will make the next move and possibly do some paranormal work on the house", I told her. What makes it harder is that my wife works overnights as a nurse in the ICU. So that means that it's just me, the dog, and the baby every weekend. It was Saturday night and my wife headed to her shift at 7pm. She would be home the next morning around 8am. So, I had plenty of time to see what's going on with the room. My baby went to bed around 9 that night and I was up watching a movie. It was about 10:30 pm, I was on the couch with the movie playing and as clear as I heard it before, there were footsteps. Fucking footsteps. Creaking from one part of the room to the other. It was like there was no rush in their step. As If they had all the time in the world to move about.
" No fucking way", I said to myself. I sat there listening to what yet again, had the feel of someone upstairs in the room, roaming like a zombie. Taking slow steps and taking time to move around. I decided to throw something at the ceiling just to see what would happen. I picked up a baby toy and tossed it above my head, watching it hit the ceiling, and coming back down. I sat there and breathed very shallow. I was wondering If I startled the " spirit". Because from that point on, there was never a creep or creak or anything that sounded like footsteps.
Fast forward to today, the 19th of May 2024. Its 10:25 pm, my wife is at work. Baby is asleep in his own room, and Im gaming. I took my headphones off and headed to the kitchen to get a drink. On my way back from getting my Dr Pepper, I stopped dead in my tracks. My heart was pumping. And without fail, I heard that sound once again of footsteps above me. This time it lasted longer, and there were heavier steps in the room. I can't really explain what's going on, but I am certain that there might be a spirit that lingers in our room and likes to walk around. The steps are too real to sound like the house is creaking. We have a fire brick, 2 story home. Built in the 70s. So, it's not like the wood is making the sound from the interior of the walls.
These are footsteps. Without a doubt.
I haven't said anything to my wife yet, but I feel like we need to do some type of investigative work on the room.

My family and I stayed at an AirBNB for 8 days. On the morning of our last day there, we woke up to find that the car was stolen out of the drive way. I immediately reached out to the host to inform them of what happened. I explained that we called the cops and we were waiting for them to arrive to file a report. I asked the host if I could get a copy of any video recordings from the Skybell ring. To my surprise and frustration I learned that this was just a prop a didn't work. In this midst of dealing with our car being stolen, the host asked me to please make sure I was checked out before 3pm because the other guest would be checking in at that time. Very insensitive to what just happened on the property and me trying to figure things out.
I filed a complaint with AirBNB and requested my money back, especially since the car stolen was not my only issue (although it was the biggest one), and AirBNB gave the host 72 hours to respond to my request. Well of course, she denied refunding me any portion of my funds back. After speaking with some of the neighbors I learned that car theft happens on a weekly basis in this neighborhood. I informed the host of this and she claimed it never happens. Well, I went on the spotcrime website and plugged in the address for the street we were staying on which is Rogers Avenue in Atlanta... the report confirmed what the neighbor said. In the week that I stayed at the ABNB, four vehicles were stolen, not including mine.
I believe the host knew that this is a crime ridden area and that care thefts are high there. Unfortunately, AirBNB don't disclose the address so you can research prior to your stay.
Is there a chance that I can:
* Hold the host liable and file a claim against their home owners insurance (not sure how I could get this information)? Or,
* Hold Airbnb liable... I'm sure that has to be some insurance coverage on their end too.
* Get a property removed from the platform that is in a high crime area such as the one where my car got stolen.
Unfortunately, I did not have full coverage because I felt it was too high. But now in view of this scenario, the cost is higher because I can't file a claim with my insurance company for the theft.
In advice on what I could do here to minimize my having to cover the entire cost out of pocket for this incident... including having to buy a new car. Full disclosure the car is a 2019 Kia, which already has a high theft rate. However, we had no too long ago had Kia upgrade the system with the kill-switch. We filed the claim with Kia consumer because there's an existing class action lawsuit... but I still feel that AirBNB should bear some liability with this incident, especially due to hosting in such a bad area.

**WARNING** long post. Feel free to skip the background information if need be
BACKGROUND:
I am a software engineer at a major bank. Relative to my counterparts on my team, I am the "most junior", but I have three years of experience. This is important to know as it may offer some insight to our team culture. I landed this job in November 2023 and was placed with my team in January 2024. The team consisted of two women, including myself and five men. I work at our NYC office with three of the other men, one of which is our team lead, let's call him Anderson. The other woman coworker lives in FL and the other two men are in India. I am the only black person on the team, and the rest of my coworkers are of Indian descent. This, too, is important to note.
From day 1, I was intentionally assigned low level administrative tasks while my coworkers were purposefully trained and briefed on other, technical tasks. The first week with my team, I mentioned to my team lead that I felt it important to learn the technical tasks that my teammates were learning, even if these technical tasks were not going to be my responsibility, because there would not be anyone to take on the technical tasks if someone was on vacation. My team lead told me to focus on the work he assigned to me.
Still determined to learn the technical tasks, I scheduled trainings with my offshore counterpart so that he would train me instead. This meant that I had to sign in to work after hours to be trained. I was now trained on what my "work buddy" knew, but still not fully trained on what the rest of the team knew how to do. Suddenly (not suddenly), my other woman coworker, let's call her Sandra, went on maternity leave and I was assigned her work. My team lead expressed his frustration with me not knowing how to do her job, and told me to figure out how to learn the things she was doing.
What is interesting to point out here is that during the first few weeks on the team, my team lead would assign our other senior engineer to train Sandra and answer all questions that she had. I was not granted this opportunity. Instead, my Slack messages went unanswered (I have all of this documented) when I had questions and after another two weeks, my team lead quietly reassigned Sandra's work from me to another senior engineer instead. He never explained why he did this, or gave me feedback on the work I was doing.
As the weeks went by, my team lead called me into a meeting to gauge my knowledge on querying our databases. He asked me to find a few items, which I could not find because for one, I had NEVER interacted with the databases before, and for two, I had no understanding of the database architecture or the data flow for our app. Nevertheless, I decided to ask clarifying questions to help me better understand the data so that I could write appropriate queries. My team lead responded to this with yelling "you are an engineer and you don't even know SQL", to which I responded that my knowledge of SQL was sufficient (part of my technical interview was based on writing complex queries), but I needed to understand exactly what he wanted me to find. He ended the meeting and never followed up on the information he was looking for. I still do not know what task, if any, that he was trying to assign to me.
I decided to follow up with him and explain to him that I could sense his frustration, and I asked him to define clear expectations for me and the team, and provide official training that focused on our application architecture and other technical areas that we needed to focus on. He told me that no amount of training would fix the "fact" that I did not know SQL and that it is the team members' job to train themselves.
Nevertheless, after that meeting, he assigned me with handling all onboarding for new projects moving forward. I have taken the liberty of advocating for my team members to ensure that we are all properly trained and provided with ALL resources needed to do our job well. Since then, the team, and myself has expressed more confidence in our ability to do our work. We are even at a point where senior team members reach out to me when they cannot find resources and either ask me to provide documentation, or ask me to reach out to other engineers to schedule meetings to provide trainings. Here is where I am concerned that I might be experiencing hostility at work. Please provide objective feedback and even constructive criticism if need be:
MAIN POINTS:
-my team lead uses language in his interactions with me that creates a false narrative. For example, he accuses me of "not caring" about my job, not "being collaborative", and not paying attention. One example is where I was tasked with migrating a google guice project to springboot. We had four weeks to get the work done and each week during standup, I brought up to my team lead my plans to make changes to the service. Each time, he would redirect my attention to administrative tasks. The third week of the sprint, literally in the middle of a Slack conversation of me telling my team lead that I planned on making some code changes and him instead telling me to do something else, our senior manager called a meeting with the team and yelled at my team lead for not getting any work done related to the code refactoring. After the meeting, my team lead followed up with me and berated me for not having work done. This is all documented in Slack and I remember being very confused as he had literally told me to do other tasks. As a result, my team lead removed me from the code refactoring project and used this to further justify his belief that I do "not care" about the work. Keep in mind that these interactions are documented.
-my team lead constantly verbally berates me in my interactions with him. One example is when I was typing up a document on a zoom call and I was sharing my screen with him. He kept rushing me and was saying things like "come on man I have other things to do", "ughhh hurry up", "you need to move fast!". Two things here: he yelled at me for moving fast because he said he could not see what I was clicking on when I moved fast. Then he yelled at me when I slowed down. There was one time he yelled at me for clicking a back button instead of the home button on the screen...he told me that I was not listening to him or paying attention...I am confused by this because the point of his instruction was for me to return to the home screen. There was another time where I misspelled a word in the middle of him berating me, and then he berated me even more for misspelling the word...
-my team lead has unclear expectations and gets angry at me when I do not do things he wants me to do. One example is when he wanted me to watch a 40 minute training video, summarize the points in the video, and schedule a follow up training with the person who lead the training so that the team (me) could ask questions. He asked me to get this done within an hour. He also wanted me to upload some recordings to Sharepoint. But this task was just another task to complete and not time-sensitive. After the call, I watched the video and made a summary and got back to him with an update in 45 minutes instead of the hour. He responded to my message 20 minutes after I wrote him by hopping on a call with me and yelled at me for not having the videos uploaded. Again, he accused me of "not caring" about my job. When I explained to him that the videos were not uploaded because I was focusing on the other, time sensitive task, he said that that task was not as important as having the videos uploaded and "people" were asking him about the videos in the Sharepoint space....this was a lie because it has been a week and the only person who accessed the uploaded videos was...you guessed it...me :)
-my team lead just berates me in general. He berated me for collaborating with a team member to explore a new internal application. He said that there was no need to get on zoom with the coworker because we should have already known everything...the app was new and I was the only one who understood how to navigate it after exploring it with the team member...oh...need I mention that he then asked me to train the other team members on the new app's UI next week?
-my team lead expressed his frustration at not having access to certain resources when I was on bereavement.The documentation was incomplete and I had to take a sudden leave due to a death in the family. Upon my return, he asked for the documentation and said that he find an "excuse" to tell his manager as to why the documentation was incomplete and that I was "on vacation"
-my team lead "warns" me not to "disappoint" him when he assigns me with tasks. When I ask him to define what a "disappointment" is and for us to agree on what is acceptable, he ignores me.
-my team lead tells me that "people" ask questions about my work and one day he is going to make our department head "deal" with me. The department head is known for being a hot head who yells at people. But he (department head)has NEVER yelled at me in any interaction I had with him, no matter how frustrated he may have been.
I want to make an important note here that my team lead does NOT speak to other people like this and he ONLY does this over zoom. I work 3x days in office and on the days where he speaks to me in person, he does not even make eye contact with me and he speaks so soft I can barely hear him sometimes. My team lead has never provided any feedback on my work. As a matter of fact, he uses my documentation and my explanation of technical tasks as if they were his own.
I am considering taking my concerns to our senior manager, who apparently is a well respected, "big boss" at work, but also MY direct manager and I happen to have a great relationship with him. I want to be as objective as possible in my complaint but in the meantime, I would like to explore areas where maybe I can improve to minimize my team lead's verbal assaults on me

Hi guys! I just really need help knowing if I’m crazy or not.
I (19 F) have a girlfriend (19 F) and we’ve been on and off again for a couple years. I’ll call her Jenny. We met online, and live 3.5 hours apart driving distance, so even though it’s do-able, we both struggle with not being able to see each other often with work, school, and other things. Right before I moved across the country for college Jenny “cheated” on me. I use quotes because we disagree here. About 8 months ago, I got screenshots and recordings from Jenny’s ex showing that they’d been talking for about 2 months towards the end of our relationship. We had broken up for different reasons a couple weeks earlier. No flirtatious messages were sent between them while we were actually in a relationship, but while we were dating, Jenny still went behind my back and talked to her ex after I’d already told her that I didn’t want them communicating. Even after we had broken up, she was still making it known that our breakup wasn’t final. Nothing physical happened, and they didn’t flirt while Jenny was with me, but I find it disrespectful and weird for her to go out of her way to hide that from me. Especially with her telling me that she loved me. During the time that we were on opposite sides of the country for college, she partied and hooked up with people, one of which being her current friend. Since then, we’ve worked on our ourselves separately in order to make our relationship work and forgiven each other for various things.
Now to the main point. I just got home from college today and Jenny and I have had this plan to move in together for about 2 months. We think living together would really help our relationship but I’m kind of getting hesitant because of this one reason. The first person that Jenny hooked up with was a girl that is now her friend. I’ll call her Emma. Both Jenny and Emma got drunk at a party with their friends and ended up hooking up over 6 months ago. At first they weren’t really friends with each other, but now they’re super close. Even though I know that Jenny only sees Emma as a friend, I still get super jealous and uncomfortable at the thought of them hanging out. Maybe as a subconscious fear? It’s not just the fact that they hang out together, but the fact that they seem so close. Even the mention of Emma’s name makes me feel hurt and embarrassed, but in every group photo Jenny and Emma are always right next to each other. Not even just close, but touching. It makes me unbelievably mad, but I usually don’t say anything because I want Jenny to feel like she can talk to me about anything. I have mentioned being uncomfortable about it before and anytime that Emma’s name is brought up I instantly shut down because I just don’t know what to say. It’s always the excuse that they’re just friends, and I do really believe that, but the part that rubs me the wrong way is that they’re always touching more than I think is appropriate. (I’ve seen pictures of them laying on top of each other, pressing their cheeks together in selfies, or just linking arms in group photos) One of their mutual friends has also commented on how it seems like there’s something romantic between them. Jenny has offered to explain this comment to me but i refused to hear it. My argument is that if she cared enough about me, she wouldn’t be that close to her all the time, let alone sending the pictures to me or posting them online. Jenny’s argument is that they’re just close friends. I’ve never met Emma, and honestly, I don’t want to. I’ve mentioned that Jenny should cut Emma off and she’s agreed, but I know she doesn’t really want to. I’m trying to act like that’s good enough for me but when i see them act like that together it’s just not. I don’t think I can imagine being in a relationship with Jenny if Emma is still in the picture, but I know her whole friend group will hate me for it. Is this something I should forget about or is it actually serious?

The sheer amount of information thrown at you is horrendous- the lectures are not well organized and the professor narates them oddly so you have to rewrite half your notes bc shell go over a topic for 30 minutes and then be like "but thats inconsequential bc no one believes that anymore."
You can't put the lectures on a higher speed bc she already talks so fast and her voice over add so much content to the slides that you'd be totally fucked if you did.
The readings have very little to do with the lecture material (like the points of convergence are there, but a 2 hour lecture will relate to the readings for maybe 12 minutes).
Your grade depends on 3 quizzes which I thought was awesome until she sent out a canvas memo letting us know the quizzes are 45 minutes long for 32 short answer questions HUH???
Bruh just don't do it. This experience would be totally different if course materials were better organized but as it stands it's just infuriating.
What makes it worse is the lectures are clearly recorded during SFUs covid online courses so it's like....this could have been optimized in the last 3 years but it just hasn't been. Like damn I know it's a 100 level course but cmon.

So, last weekend we had an event over 3 days and the event was recorded. On day one I was using machine A, which had problems. Day 2 and 3 used machine B to record and that went a lot better.
But I get the video home (recorded using OBS) and start editing and OpenShot is having a TON of issues. Seek speed was horrible, and if you advanced/reversed more than the frame buffer size it took a long tiime to seek. This isn't a machine issue (AMD 3700X, 64GB ram, SSD to SSD (2 drives), 16G AMD 6800 video card).
So, today I'm working on the 4th 2 hour video, it's frustrating. I pull up the video and start editing and everything is great! WTF? So realized I pulled a video from day 2 that started at the same time, recorded on the second machine (also with OBS). Turns out, day one I had no keyframes. WHOA! Totally makes sense now.
I'm regenerating the files using ffmpeg to add the keyframes every 2 minutes and it totally fixes this issue.
So my 2 questions are:

1. has anyone ever come across this issue before?
2. Is there an option to fix this on the fly with OpenShot?

Also (garnering the Solution Provided flair), for those seeing issues with seeks taking forever in OpenShot, it wasn't an OpenShot issue. Check that you have keyframes! (maybe an FAQ item?)

prefacing this by saying i am not yet diagnosed with epilepsy, but my neurologist and doctors agree that it seems like i am having focal aware seizures. i am on gabapentin 300mg 3x daily for pain and tingling, with the added bonus of it being an anticonvulsant.
time for long context: i am a 22 year old trans man, who about 8 months ago, started having these strange “seizure like episodes” alongside other neurological symptoms. these episodes generally start as a tingling in my face and head and a rising feeling in my stomach, followed by intense fear, raised heart rate, a feeling of low blood sugar when my blood sugar is normal or even high, and a change in awareness (everything looking fake, feeling like i just took a massive dab for the first time, floaty and dizzy.) sometimes i will feel a bit dizzy and wobbly beforehand or see bright colors in my vision. afterwards, i usually have full body shakes that can last a very long time, but we think that part is just adrenaline.
i saw a neurologist, who immediately thought i may have chiari malformation due to these episodes and my other symptoms, so i had an eeg and brain mri done. she told me that i am almost certainly having seizures, but that she didnt know yet if they were focal aware or non epileptic.
results came in, aaand mri and eeg were normal. my neurologist basically told me “you have many worrying symptoms, but the tests were normal and i cant tie them to anything. you do not need to see me again.” at the time i had these tests done i had not been having episodes frequently in a while, and the ones i did have were brief and felt more like warnings. she said that would not affect anything and the eeg still would have shown something.
now, 3 days after my neurologist basically gave up on me, things are getting bad again. yesterday i guess i was too stressed or did not sleep enough. i was so exhausted all day, and felt very off. around 6pm, i had several episodes in close succession. i felt it coming while i was starting dinner and immediately ran to bed thinking it was going to be like usual, but instead was greeted with almost an hour of hell. it was a feeling of “oh god its coming,” followed by a short episode, followed by feeling strange and unnerved, and then “oh god its coming” again. i called a nurses line and they suggested i go to the er, but i did not have a ride and didnt feel an ambulance was necessary so i stuck it out. i felt awful and scared the rest of the night, but had to finish dinner after a short recovery nap, then went to bed around 11pm. .
i got 10 solid hours of sleep, but today i feel just as bad. i am so incredibly fatigued even after an afternoon nap. no episodes today thus far, but i feel uneasy and strange, like i could have one at any moment. i am so lucky i have my fiancé who has tonic clonics here to watch me, because i think i’d be absolutely terrified without them.
because of this, i am making an appointment with my pcp asap. i want to ask for a referral to a new neurologist and see if there is anything else they can do for me.

One day, it dawned on me that the capabilities of the Comms Center could be vastly improved. I spent a week going through the spares inventory and determined that less than 6 hours downtime was all I needed, as we already had the necessary materials on-hand. So I wrote up the plan from start to finish, and submitted it through the Captain's Suggestion Box.
At morning muster, I received word to report to the Captain's office IMMEDIATELY. Luckily, I was already in my dress blue (e.g., "Cracker-Jack") uniform -- having just come off Bridge Watch -- because when I arrived, all the officers and the Command Master Chief were there.
It was the dreaded Captain's Mast, and I was the Guest of Honor.
Little mention was made of the merits of my suggestion, but only that I had bypassed the Chain of Command in making it. Several counts of insubordination were levied against me, and the only saving graces were: (1) this was my first-ever offense, and (2) the Captain Himself had encouraged the use of his suggestion box (which disappeared that same day).
Then the Master Chief of the Command -- a Master Chief Yeoman (YMC) -- gave me a dressing-down while criticizing me roundly for my "bright ideas" as only a Master Chief Petty Officer with nearly 20 years in the Navy can. Then he told me that if I had any more "bright ideas", that I should just forget them and never mention them again.

About a week later, I got a message telling me to report immediately to the Master Chief Yeoman's office. I made quick time and arrived a minute later.

I reminded him of HIS direct order, and explained again that copier repair was outside the purview of my Navy training. (By this time, a small crowd of enlisted's had gathered within earshot of the Chief Yeoman's office.) Then the Captain asked me what I thought was wrong with the copier.
