First, something about me. I'm almost 26 and have started playing tennis last June (recomended by my ex lol). So I was never an athletic kid/guy: played just 3 years of football/soccer when I was a kid and then just skated with friends and have been going to the gym for the last 6 years (fucked around for a big part of it but got serious with it around halfway, only in the training side of things, so never got a "good physique").
So in the last few years I was very passionate about some esports titles and got decent at them, until last year I decided I wanted to replace my passion and competitiveness for games with a sport, seeing what level I could reach. After talking for a while about this with my ex, she actually suggested me to try tennis, as it was a sport that fulfilled my aspirations and also was an ok choice to start it as an adult.
Turns out I fall in love with the sport and the competitive/progression side of it, I break up with my ex and I sort of get this "mamba mentality about tennis". Fast forward to now, since I started back in June I have played consistently 3 times a week (2 clinics+1 one-on-one coaching session) at a reputable though minor club in my area. Alongside this, I train in the gym twice a week and follow a nutritionist's diet. I consider myself in shape, very good mobility (it's like a natural gift for me lol), decent footwork and good groundstrokes, although I lack everything outside the three basic shots since my coach was really focusing on getting the basics down. A few words about the coaches at my club, they see I'm very serious about the game and are pretty happy with my improvement, saying I have good potential to become a very good rec player. I recently got moved to a better group for the clinics and I'm happy in the place I'm currently at.
So, we can say I have the basics down and now I really want to move towards the tournament/match play side of things. The thing is, at the minor club where I play, people are very unfriendly (I'm a very friendly, talkative type of person) and the club doesn't offer many opportunities for networking/tournaments. I only played a double tourney and got 3/8.
So here we get. In the big company where I work, I get the opportunity (as a benefit) to play a clinic 1 a week for free at the very exclusive Panatta Racquet Club (yes, owned by the famous italian player) which is by far the best facility in the area (might even be the best in northern Italy). So today, I did a tryout to see if I could squeeze a fourth weekly session.
The session went alright (not used to the different bounce of the court and the wind) although I was technically much better than my peers. The coach complimented me for my game and told me I was very good for a 1-year-player, even told me my backhand is similar to that of Medvedeev ahah.
The thing that I loved about this club is the fact that both the coach and the people I practiced with were really friendly and the coach told me he could get me in a whatsapp group with 50 people to organize sunday matches and so on (basically to do some networking). On the other hand, the level of play was quite low and didn't gain much from the lesson, just the opportunity to hit for one more session.
So the thing is this: I have the basics down and want to get into match play but I don't know many people in the tennis world. Should I play this free weekly clinic just for the social side of it? Having big opportunities to know more people to play with and potentially play more tournaments, although it brings little to no improvement to my game (aside for hitting more)?
My coach said an extra training session would be good but I should be careful getting instructions from two different coaches. Although it seems that this clinic coach just gives you drills to work on but doesn't really fix technique.

Something I hadn’t thought about in a while and curious if anyone else experienced anything similar. When I was about 12, I started playing soccer on Sundays. I was participating in club soccer, which for those who don’t know, is extremely competitive. Most who participated in club soccer had the goal of playing collegiately on a scholarship, and that was my goal too.
What I didn’t understand was why I was getting treated differently at youth activities. I was getting treated like I was a “bad” Mormon. Like the amount of attention I got from the leaders was insane, and it wasn’t in a positive way. They started coming to my house and leaving what my family later dubbed as “inactive cookies.” Every time, they would start by saying how they missed me at church and how sports were not more important than Heavenly Father. I was so confused at the time because I fully believed in the church. It was so uncomfortable to be lectured about how I was disappointing God.
I didn’t understand how playing soccer on Sunday equated to a concern about my spiritual health. I mean, my dad had told me about Steve Young and how the church thought he was wonderful even though he played sports on Sunday. How was this different? Because I wasn’t famous?
Treating me like a bad Mormon got worse and worse as I got older. They constantly whispered about the way I dressed (I was 5’10” and 115 lbs by the time I was 14, so clothes did not fit me well and were never long enough) amongst many other things. What’s funny is, because they treated me that way, I became it. My shelf broke after two years of this treatment. They broke a 14 year old girl’s shelf purely by treating her like a bad Mormon. Ironic isn’t it?
Also, all of this broke my parents’ shelves too. They hated how the church treated me and how they were getting treated for supporting their child.
Anyone else have a similar story? I’m just curious because looking back, this is absolutely hilarious to me. The attempts at guiding me back just completely backfiring .
And not that anyone asked, but I did get a full ride scholarship to play collegiately. It was all worth it. So glad my parents’ thought my dreams were more important than some silly rule.

I need to preface this with the fact that I am currently loving Hades 2, the first Hades is one of the only games I've ever completed more than once, and Hades 2 has made me in love with it in less than five hours. I don't think the game is perfect, neither was the first, but they're both fantastic games and the second is definitely improving on a lot of things from the first.
Now, with that out of the way. Am I the only one struggling to fall in love with some of the characters in Hades 2? Don't get me wrong, i really like all the characters I've met so far, and I think they're all far more charming characters than many other games can offer, but Hades 1 made me fall head over heels with EVERY single character instantly. Even Thesus, he was so fun to hate...
I know it could be just personal preference; I'm not a fan of the lazy 'mean girl' archetype so Dora isn't really doing it for me, though I love the theory that she's Pandora, the first human. Dusa was a more loveable "non-humanoid" like being. I'm just hoping that Dora wins me over, she just has no real story for the moment, other than some hints about her missing her human body and life.
Odysseus is another example, I like him, but I loved Achilles in the first game, just like many others did. Od isn't doing it for me when it comes to the "mentor" role archetype. I don't see a strong connection between him and Mel. Achilles had his Patroclus story, devotion to Hades, past mentor relationship with Zag, and loyalty to the house, all building him up. Od has nothing really apart from some pretty funny lines, and interesting tidbits if you're familiar with his whole story. I can't really predict where they're going to go with him, and what his arc will be through out the game. It seems like his story is finished. I've beaten Eris, and gotten to Cronos already, and he is no different than he was at the beginning.
Theres many characters I love as well obviously; Moros was a bit strange when I first met him but now he's one of my all-time favourites to talk to, even over countless Hades 1 characters. Nemesis has an incredible design, personality, and story, and I can't wait to see her relationship with Mel grow and change. She is a roller coaster of a person, one moment I love her, the next I hate her. The writers portrayed her perfectly and it really makes you feel how Mel must feel whenever you're talking to her. Hecate is, of course, amazing. There's so much to say about her, and her parallel to Nyx. With the whole "mother figure to Persephone child" thing they have going on. And her design is absolutely splendid.
I also understand there's two major factors dampening the bond the player can have the characters; preexisting mythos, and placeholder art.
The characters in Hades 1 were some of the most famous Greek mythos available, Achilles had countless books/movies made about him, Hades is well Hades, the Minotaur is undoubtedly one of the most famous monsters in western mythos, and even lesser known characters like Persephone and Orpheus were still very popular in pop culture. Hades 2 had to be a bit more creative with its choices, there's very few prople who know of the 'witches' of Greek mythos like Hecate and Circe. Narcissus is famous for his namesake, but very few know that he even exists, and that we took the word narcissist from him. Even Od, as famous as he is, isn't as popular as many other Greek heros. Most people know he blinded the cyclops and named himself Nobody, but very few know anything that came before and after that. I mean, I've read the damn poem-book-thing by Homer and even I forgot about the sea monster. The characters are harder to relate to and admire cause players spend too much effort trying to remember who they are, and a lot of dialogue flies over more "normal" players' heads.
Don't get me wrong, I love the more diverse and unique cast, avd I'm happing the SG team is shining more light upon lesser known myths, but at the same time I'm struggling more to connect with them and their stories. I know that I'm at fault in that equation though.
The other issue is the placeholder art, characters like Icarus and Circe have simple sketches for PFP and characters like Charon and Narcissus are cloaked by the Cloak Of Early Access. The art is one of Hades' strong points, the personality each piece has really sells people on the characters, so going from talking to the wonderful Apollo or Aphrodite, to the sweet but simple Circe is a bit of a shock.
I also feel like there's less side story content so far, but maybe I'm nowhere near enough into the game to touch it yet. Orpheus isn't introduced until a couple hours into the game, and it takes countless runs to even considering reuniting him with Eurydice. But at the same time, that storyline was extremely obvious from the beginning, so was Achilles' one. The characters in Hades 2 are less pivotal. Nemesis has her rival-enemy story going on. Moros is insecure and a tool for the Fates. Arachne is lonely and obviously needs some friends, or a reminder of her past life. But other than that, I can't see any other side content. Dora is rarely talked about by anyone but Mel. Od is just an old retired dude that's finished his story. Circe is just a cool auntie witch. The Fury sisters had much more depth and personality than the Sirens do. And so on.
I'm truly just hoping that I'm NOWHERE near the """end""" of the game, and I'm just barely scratching the surface. I've always struggled with timing. The first time I played Hades I did almost all the side content before I even brought Persephone down to the House cause I was paranoid that it would all be stopped. My second playthrough, I delivered the letters to the Gods before I even got the chance to even start any of the side content.
At the end of the day, the game is early access. It is bigger than Hades 1 so far, but still not complete. I know SG will improve, and the characters will become more fleshed out as the updates keep rolling in. They've said the game has more dialogue now than Hades 1 had at the end, so I'm hopeful. So I'm not complaining or disparaging the game, just pointing out a small thing I noticed. I have spent dozens of hours in Hades 1, and only the in Hades 2, so I'll just let ~Chronos~ Time do its job.
Does anyone feel the same? Or have the Hades 2 characters captured the hearts of many just as quickly as the Hades 1 characters did?

I have following targeting settings: Parents with kids and Soccer interest( famous soccer clubs, soccer competitions and soccer players). It works just fine for other locations with the exact same targeting, but not Las Vegas.
We literally waisted 3k for 9 registrations. The camp will happen next week we need at least 20 more people.Las vegas in the most difficult almost impossible location for this type of business. Cus the problem is that Facebook now target everyone who lives and who visits there and no more option to choose.

Yes, i know, im pretty fcked in the head for even telling what I do and I need mental help for this, but idc... So my height insecurity, especially when being around "women" equal or taller than, (just see my entire post history venting about it), has gona pretty bad for a while that it affects even what type of content i consume.
Some of you mention about Sports. Like i consume mainly soccer of course and sometimes ice hockey, definitely no basketball, cuz, well you know why... (not that soccer plays are that short cuz they still average 6'0, but many famous dudes being shorter helps). And i of course would swipe down immediately when seeing any female sport content, knowing that the women taller heights would make me further insecure...
But even like movies, tv shows... When the main cast is like notably tall on average, esp the main female cast, like half of the women being 5'7-5'10+, i avoid it lol,... except Breaking Bad cuz the male cast was notably short at least. And I of course avoid watching anything related to modelling, like if it appears on my IG, straight up block it lol. I just dont want to see myself as a man being surrounded by taller women and feeling like an inferior being (and yes, i know that im not that short compared to many men on this sub, and i applaud you guys for surviving this shit)
Anyways, the only reason im posting this now is bcuz someone i know suggested to me the Wolverine 2013 movie, and by curiosity, I decided to look up the female cast... Oh..., that did not go well for my mental state of insecurity...

Anyway, I've loved this piece ever since I went through a unit on it in a high school philosophy class, where we looked at the possible meaning behind each movement and how the first three led the fourth with Schiller's famous poem.
Before that class, I never even owned a recording of this, other than a record that my parents had. I wasn't allowed to operate the record player, though, so I rarely heard it. Afterward, of course, I got myself a CD. (I already had a bunch of Beethoven on CD at the time -- just not his symphonies.)
I won't pretend to be an expert, because after all, this was a high school class I took decades ago, but that partly explains why I'm so interested in the anniversary.
Also, you know, it's one of the greatest works of art ever created.

He did this after he had one too many chicken Alfredos; the rupture caused him to poop with such force it caused a bang. A big bang. The bang caused earth to form. At this time it was just an empty wasteland with no life. However shrek with his omnibevelence wiped his ass with earth after the great shart. This invigorated the earth with things such as the grass and dirt we stand on and the cow birds and Mexicans we see. Shrek saw the earth and saw it was good. He named it the great onion in the sky. Finally Shrek created the things that mortal men can not see. Feelings. Hunger and thirst among other things. The reason shrek created hunger and feelings of sadness is that he new with his omniscience that they would lead to the creation of the chicken Alfredos form before. With this shrek created death as all must have an opposite and death is the unlucky opposite of life. This pained shrek to see his beloved creatures die so he created an afterlife so great and unfathomable that no mortal human could understand. This was named the great Taco Bell beyond the sky. With this creation he came down to the earth and formed the only country's the UK, Beeston, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Bramley and Australia however that has now been destroyed.
Early workings
After shrek made the world and lit it up with the stars in the night sky. He made the first human a man of pure faith and love for all who love shrek. Butter pants. Butter pants was sent down to watch the inhabitants and what they do, for shrek gave them free will. Butter pants became restless however after some time and so was given from shrek a wife and here was the first woman. Lois Griffin. They spent thier days with shrek on earth. Playing, telling stories and overall living a carefree life. After some time butter pants and lois griffin had kids. Three children Bob sob and George and in thier childhood they lived much the same as their perants. However, when they grew up they began to become more restless. Arguments rose and fell quickly like sparks. The three boys began to despise not just each other but thier family and shrek. This lead to the three boys leaving shrek to live somewhere else they all set off alone in diffrent directions. After many more years of distance to shrek the three boys began to forget. Not thier anger towards each other, although the argument that started had been lost, but their love for shrek. However one day one of the three boys sob discided to meet again with shrek for a request. "Lord please give me mercy for I beg of you a wife or a child". The Lord forgave sob and bestowed on him a child. The best ever seen. Three years past and the child named Mr bean was showing incredible intelligence and was growing quickly and nicely. Sob had now reconciled with lois and butter pants and they lived happily with each other. But the other boys became jealous and planned to kill Mr bean at night. Late one night they set thier plan into action and when all were asleep they suffocated the child without a sound. However with some sixth sense butter pants woke up and ran into the room to see his beloved dead. Feelings of anger, hate, sadness and distress fell over him like a great weight. He screamed and shouted at the boys and them tried to get his revenge. And after a while of fighting sob killed George. Shrek awoke along with lois griffin and he stormed into the room. "What have you done you animals" shrek screamed the boys did nothing for they saw the power of shrek never seen by man. "You live a life without me and you murder directly going against my will. For this you shall be punished as one of the weak in the world already unforgiven as blind mice together with the lost George. I leave you now for I never knew you".

He found out the little monster he saw in the forest had been troubling the town for a while and that they hoped that he was now gone for good. But after many hours of conversation shrek decided to get a room and set off in the morning. Shrek awoke with a blur but as his eyes adjusted to his surroundings he above him a dark shadow yet it had a form like a man. The shadow drew its sword before shrek could react and it stabbed him in the heart before shrek awoke in a cold sweat. It was a dream.
