2024.05.20 09:04 Iberlos VBloods surrounded by mobs are too hard
I have been playing this game for a bit. Currently gear level 63.
I feel like vbloods are really great fights when they do not have summons or just wander arround random mobs. I have killed Vbloods that stand in an isolated arenas such as Ziva(60) fine. Even some wandering guys such as Angram werent too bad because I lured him outside of the village he is in.
But now I am trying to kill the wanderer and the spider and those VBloods are just surrounded by friendly(to them) mobs. I don't have the damage output to kill those mobs fast and focus on the boss. And the wanderer is literally just running arround atracting mobs. Its a cool concept, but there are just too many mobs, with too much health, and too much damage output if you mess up for just a second.
Also if you die you can just count of spending the next 10 minutes just going to get you stuff and that is if you just ignore most mobs on the way.
I am using duskwatcher gear, explosive shooter pistols(20), illusion magic wolf and spear and storm magic raging tempest, i have decent jewels on my most used spells, had a 90% creature blood when trying the first few times, was using buff potions, I have 5/6 of the tier 1 passives... Even then I can get the spider to about half health before I die or just have to run a bit to heal and it resets. When there are a bunch of mobs its really hard to find an opening to heal with pots.
I am not playing solo, so I can call in a friend to help out, but I feel like the game should not be telling me I am matched to these bosses and these mobs if I can only defeat them in isolation.
I do love this game, but I have felt very underpowered playing it so far. I am always chasing whatever increases my power just so I can move arround freely in some parts of the map... Yes that can be fun, but I was expecting to feel more powerful at lvl 63 with basically the best stuff I can muster...
Sorry for the rant.
Since I know some are going to say it, I don't care if you think the game is stupid easy and that I suck at playing it. There are different levels of players, if you are good at it, great, but you don't need to go arround spewing salt for no reason.

i can be blunt and i like to know full boundaries. i don't like accidentally hurting people, so i would like if you are a bit blunt and confident enough to tell me if i'm doing something wrong or if i'm making you uncomfortable. i have adhd, so some things i need to be told even if it's obvious since i tend to accidentally break boundaries since i know i wouldn't mind
living wise, i like things 50/50. like sweeping together, mopping together, cleaning, cooking, etc. partly because it's more efficient but also because i see it as a bonding thing. and along with that, i always thought it would be cute to just consider each other as "friends", tell family/friends that, even if it's not completely true. though, i would tell other people that you are my partnegirlfriend/boyfriend if you prefer that :))
i can't drive yet, but i'm getting there. i also keep going back and forth between being a tattoo artist and being a commission-based artist. it would depend on if we would travel a lot/what tattoo studio i get into. if i do tattooing, my cousin has offered to teach me since she is a full-time tattoo artist

I am working on a Kids on Bike (tabletop RPG) game that sets place after my first playthrough that I actually did not get impeached or coup'd. I am having some of my friends play as the interim mayor of Tzarsbourgh and their administrative staff. I have had my own ideas of what the political landscape would look like following my 2nd term, but I was curious to get the communities thoughts as well. Here are the details of my run as well as what I think an Anton 2nd term would look like.

However, Paskal remains hopeful that these issues can be focused now that the Rumburg threat is over and due to Rayne's support in the vaccine mandate, reducing alcohol consumption, providing disability, and granting free prescription drugs.
- Lileas was arrested in her conspiracy to ruin Anton's presidency, where Karl Grieser replaced her due to a positive confidence vote thanks to his work as captain of the Greater Holsord Police Force and leader of the Anti-Corruption Task Force. Sordland continues to monitor and remove corruption from its industries, and has built trust in Bergia's Autonomous Zone. However, Organized Crime is running rampant after the war and people still remember Livia Suno's reveal as a Rumburg spy.
- after Deivid Wisci's retirement, the position is given to Frens Ricter as the first ever ministry to be a part of political party that is not the president's. Due to Deivid's assistance in Anton's first term, United Contanan has given aid, they have become influential in OMEC, they have tariff free oil with Wehlen, a Free Trade Zone with Valgsland, and Balanced Energy Prices. However, Lespian trade tariffs plague some of the southern region economies and Agnolia will cut ties with Sordland's Trade once the deal expires.

General Advice:
- Stick with your team as much as possible, only separate for brief moments to speed up looting and defense placement. If your team plans on separating, pair up.
- Be aware of where your teammates are. Since you and your team will be together a lot, friendly fire is more likely, be careful of this.
- When defending the house, don't bother protecting the 1st floor. It has too many entry points and your team will be forced to spread out to cover all spots. It's safer to protect the 2nd floor, Kill incoming zeke by the stairs leading to the 2nd floor and the balcony walk way. This greatly reduces becoming separate and it narrows down the areas you have to look out for.
- When collecting the briefcases, just stick together as a team. splitting up to save time isn't worth the higher risk of getting wiped.
- If possible, have at least 1 member bring a chainsaw. In a pinch, it helps clear the swarm and make space for the team. It also has no friendly fire damage. do note, It's not very effective against Juggernauts.
- Medic with healing cloud(perk: Breath deeply) is highly recommended. since the entire team should be staying together, you will often give the entire team temporary health for just 1 stim use. The temporary extra health can also help stave off the health drain if one of your team members absolutely needs to separate from the group for a short time.
- Ammo Fixer is very powerful here. They can help the entire team clear special zombies much faster, help the team defend the 2nd floor even more if the ammo crate doesn't spawn on the 2nd floor, heal the entire team(perk: 3-in-1), reduce the number of times your teammates have to return to the ammo box, and help clear the zeke towers during the Helicopter defense section. Don't be afraid to remind your team to keep using your ammo boxes. Fixers make the entire team stronger.
- Vanguard can be very useful here. Since your entire team will be grouped up together a lot, Juggernauts WILL become a problem unless killed quickly. Vanguards can easily stand in front of Juggernauts and Bulls to stop them. This helps your team 2-fold: a Jugg or Bull standing still, is a target MUCH easier to shoot. and this reduces the chances for your team to have to spread out. your shield also gives you innate 100% resistance from friendly fire and forcing zeke to target you(perk: Center of Attention) will give your team more breathing room. your job is to give your team lots of space
- Hellraiser can be strong here. they can often 1-2 shot specials with their MGL and can quickly destroy the zeke pyramids. if they have the grenade launcher with the incendiary perk, they can easily hold either the balcony section or stairs section of the house by themselves. Their C4 can also help peel away(perk: Here Kitty) some zeke if your team is getting surrounded. Just be aware of the blast area of your skills and weapons, or else your dead teammates might just blow you and your team up.
- Dronemaster can be very useful here. Sharing their drone(perk: Sharing is caring), they can greatly reduce the amount of friendly fire incidents(perk: Not on my watch). They can also help the team be aware of special Zeke nearby(perk: Eye in the Sky) their BF25(perk: the Big Five O) can also 1 shot Juggernauts and Bulls. I recommend sticking to the stun drone. having 2 drones in close proximity almost guarantees that if zeke manage to get close to you or your team will immediately get stunned.

Never read a book from beginning to the end, but he would discuss it with others just by reading bits of it. He always thought he knew better than others. Studying was a waste of time. Working was a waste of time as well. He only ever wanted to be the centre of attention. Never looked for a job, so not a day of employment.
He disrespected any household rules and never to this day really cared about his parents, or show any interest in anyone in our large family. Totally detached and knows nothing about anyone.

He was into politics (back in the old country, opposition, was imprisoned and was very proud of it), parapsychology, astral body, hypnoses..and had the weirdest friends. He thrived by being surrounded by many people and listened to. Thrived on any attention he could get. Then he found the religion, in 1987, it is a sect, and became so extreme that the church kicked him out at some point. He was taking over from the properly educated and appointed preachers at the church. Formed his own groups that never lasted.

I’m doing so much work and putting in so much effort for the small small chance of it paying off. I feel like the medical school system in this country deprives us of so much living. I keep scouring this subreddit 24/7 and I’m seeing people on their 4th, 5th, 6th… cycles who still haven’t gotten in yet even though they really do deserve to, and it makes me wonder why I think Ill have it better than them and that I’ll get in after only 1 or 2 cycles. I’m also so tired of the constant feeling of competition. I’m not making it a competition but it’s impossible not to feel it as such when you’re surrounded by friends who have the same goal, it’s a constant feeling of doubt. It’s like what you’re doing is never enough. When I do end up trying to take a break, I feel an overwhelming sense of guilt that I’m not studying or doing something to gain more ecs, and even my parents get mad at me for always stressing myself out and not being able to slow down and care for myself, but I don’t know what to do. Basically question spawned when I actually tried showing my world to my brother. He and I were having a discussion of population accuracy, and how it's dependent on many factors. This is because I always told him and my sister I prefer a more One Piece type of worldbuilding when it comes to those numbers, aka giving populations as I wanted and sizes as I wanted because that's not really important to the story or world I want. I never tell them a set in stone population or landmass size.
He looked at my map (that I make on Azgaar Fantasy map generator) and said I should try to be more straightforward with measurements as people like that more. On the generator, with measurements I had from a previous creation, it has my world with a population of 532 Million and a landmass of just over 24.7 Million Square Miles. But my world is also pretty much in 1200-1300s civilization wise with a total of 56 countries(though I might break some down). Now I planned on my world having a much bigger population and envisioned the realm my world is set in to be much bigger and the part I have on the map is a small fraction of the total area, cause yk I simply don't care bout the numbers.

My son [19M] filed harassment charges against me and my husband because we were making him go to college
Me and my son moved to US last year. I was a single mom for 16 yrs before I met and then married my husband. I saved up money so he can go to college. Where I came from, college is very important. We moved to a small town and my son found new friends. These friends in my opinion were not a good influence. I am used to polite and academically oriented kids back home. These new friends of his make fun of his books and his plans of going to college.
Before his HS graduation, me and my husband took him to several unis in the state so he could get a feel for which one he would like to go to. Then after he graduated from HS, I told him I have about $20k saved up for college. He said it is not going to fit because tuition is pretty expensive nowadays. I suggested he can just go to a community college 20 mins away and live at home to save money. He agreed and I gave him access to the fund (joint account).
Long story short, he did not enroll himself and instead started partying a lot and used the money on expensive dates with his gf. He moved out and stopped talking to me. I worked hard to save that up for more than a decade and I am upset that he wasted it in less than a year. Me and my husband went to his place and asked that he pay me back since it is specifically for college and not "fun money".
He called the police and filed harassment charges. I told the police to review the cctv footage because the whole time I was talking to him through his ring cam, I was calm and reasonable and my husband was just standing behind me not saying anything. I was outside the door talking, he never even opened the door to talk to me face to face. The police said there's nothing he can do if my son and his gf felt "harassed", he can file a restraining order if he wants to.
Back home, this is unforgivable to treat your parent like this. But here in US, I was treated almost like a criminal. My sister in law said it is my fault for confronting him and that the money is his to spend since I made him a joint account owner. Am I wrong?

His relationship with me before moving to US was fine. He knew my struggle as a single mom and he always try to help me around the house. I was not strict at all he was free to go out with friends anytime. He was even thrilled to have a father figure and my husband always try to make him feel included in everything.

Honestly I think a lot of parents don’t realize the depth of their children and forget that just because you think of them as one way doesn’t mean they don’t have other layers that can make them a different person. Sadly your son has found some less than savory friends to surround himself with and now he has to live with the decision he made. I honestly wouldn’t offer help for university again and would leave communication up to him. Also has there been any questions or discussion of potential drug use??

The money is gone. And since he was a joint account holder and a legal adult, there’s nothing to be done except refuse to help him financially anymore. Let him figure it out on his own from now on. The friends he had will likely drift away now that he no longer has a fat bank account to fund their party lifestyle.

I still have not heard from my son and I don't expect him to reach out. But his gf's mother has called me asking if my house is still open to him. I asked her why, it turns out he hasn't paid his share of the last month's rent and his gf had to pay it for him.
I said it is not my problem and he is not welcome anymore in my house since he is an adult. The gf's mom said "what kind of mother would not extend help to his teenage son?". She further insulted me and said now she knows why he left me.
At this point I really don't care anymore. I tried to help him get a good start in life but he wasted it. Aside from the $20k, he lived rent free in the house, free food, free phone, car, gas money, and I pay all the utility bills and his health insurance. All I asked is that he focus on his studies. Finish at least an associate's degree so he can get a decent job and be fully independent from me asap.
For some who asked why college is so important to me, as an immigrant, we are held under certain standards. We have to prove to USCIS that we will not become a public charge -- meaning we won't rely on any government aid. I want him to be able to be a good immigrant and become productive. I don't even know if he can become a citizen if he makes below poverty income. I was just trying to make sure he gets to live a good life.
Some of you asked if he even wanted go to to college. Back when we were in our home country, he begged me to pls send him to college no matter what.
P.S. The harassment charge was closed for lack of evidence of harassment, a lot of what he said were lies.

We live in a small town but there's a lot of crime in our area, someone could have gone in and done something bad.

His girlfriend's mom called me again today and basically handed the phone to my son to "sort it out between us". I let him just talk and tell me what is on his mind. Here's a summary of his point of view:
I asked him why he left the door open that night. He went silent for a few seconds then said "I just thought that if the house get robbed, I could just say I cashed the money from the bank and the robbers must have found it". Unbelievable.
At this point I was so emotional and I was a crying mess. I told him I am deeply sorry that I was his mom and that he had to grow up feeling deprived because I was poor. Then he said "Oh stop with your guilt tripping, you are saying that to make me feel bad.
Oh and he also said he hates it when I do this. I don't yell like that lady but I pretty much bug him to get up and help me set the table. I never get a response so I had to raise my voice higher. He said I was so rude. But he grew up with this. This is me being me. All moms back home do this. Al of a sudden he is comparing me to his mom's friends. In our culture we want food to be eaten while it is fresh from the stove. I spent 1 hr cooking after a long day at work, the least you can do is help me set the table and eat my food while it's nice and warm.
I hung up. My heart is broken in so much pieces. Am I wrong?

My son [19M] filed harassment charges against me and my husband because we were making him go to college
Me and my son moved to US last year. I was a single mom for 16 yrs before I met and then married my husband. I saved up money so he can go to college. Where I came from, college is very important. We moved to a small town and my son found new friends. These friends in my opinion were not a good influence. I am used to polite and academically oriented kids back home. These new friends of his make fun of his books and his plans of going to college.
Before his HS graduation, me and my husband took him to several unis in the state so he could get a feel for which one he would like to go to. Then after he graduated from HS, I told him I have about $20k saved up for college. He said it is not going to fit because tuition is pretty expensive nowadays. I suggested he can just go to a community college 20 mins away and live at home to save money. He agreed and I gave him access to the fund (joint account).
Long story short, he did not enroll himself and instead started partying a lot and used the money on expensive dates with his gf. He moved out and stopped talking to me. I worked hard to save that up for more than a decade and I am upset that he wasted it in less than a year. Me and my husband went to his place and asked that he pay me back since it is specifically for college and not "fun money".
He called the police and filed harassment charges. I told the police to review the cctv footage because the whole time I was talking to him through his ring cam, I was calm and reasonable and my husband was just standing behind me not saying anything. I was outside the door talking, he never even opened the door to talk to me face to face. The police said there's nothing he can do if my son and his gf felt "harassed", he can file a restraining order if he wants to.
Back home, this is unforgivable to treat your parent like this. But here in US, I was treated almost like a criminal. My sister in law said it is my fault for confronting him and that the money is his to spend since I made him a joint account owner. Am I wrong?

- He felt like I deprived him of a lot of things growing up. I couldn't buy him an Xbox/playstation, iphone, or anything a teenager wants when we were in our home country. I can't afford it. Back then I was making $1k a month and saving 20% of it for his college fund and whatever was left was for us to live on. I was helping my parents too with some groceries so money was really really tight. When I look back now, I don't know how I made it all fit.
- He felt so small because his clothes were hand me downs from cousins or just cheap clothes I bought from tianguis.
- He said I was not supportive unlike his friend's parents. Some of his friends have wealthy parents who bought their sons a house and never had to go to college or think about their future because they will inherit the family farm anyway. I have no generational wealth to be that supportive. I wish I have.
- He said I have so much house rules. Yes I do. I want him to wash his plates after eating (I used to do it for him), clean his room and keep it tidy, make sure the windows are tightly shut in winter, keep the thermostat at 68 during winter to save electricity, come home at 11pm or else the house will be double locked from the inside for my safety (because my husband drives a truck and not home at night most the time). I also told him before that since he has a part time job, he can't use my credit card for anything but emergency anymore, but he still used it sometimes anyway (card's been frozen since he moved out).
- I asked him why file charges when I only wanted some explanation from him. He said he don't want to inconvenience his gf and filing charges is the easiest way to get me to stop trying to talk to him.
