Jeff Bass back?!
Is YouTube fucking up by crediting parts of Without Me? Also I never understood the other composer lyricist credits, the samples he uses? This song is FIRE! Eminem is my favorite Producer when he’s all in. Hope he’s head producer on majority of the Album. Please no Rick Rubin unless he’s caring lol I only really love Berzerk by him.

[P] A Visual Guide to GNN Sampling using PyTorch Geometric
Hi everyone,
I posted a couple of videos and notebooks on the topic of "Sampling for Graph Neural Networks (GNNs)". The original GCN paper used full batch training. Then, researchers have used different methods to create mini batches (subgraphs) to train the GCN. For example, GraphSAGE paper used a neighbor sampler, and ClusterGCN paper used a cluster sampler. These samplers are implemented in pytorch-geometric under torch_geometric.loader.
Here are the videos, or you can jump right into the code..

2024.06.01 14:51 Microlit_ How do Pipette and Burette Differ?

In scientific research and experimentation, laboratory instruments play an important role in enabling precise measurement and accuracy of liquids. Among so many liquid handling instruments, pipettes and burettes are commonly used for measuring and dispensing accurate volumes of liquids. Although there is a similarity among the usage of pipettes and burettes, yet they differ significantly in their design, usage, and applications. It’s reasonable to understand these differences for selecting the appropriate instrument for various laboratory tasks.

Design & Structure

For Pipettes:
For Burettes:

Usage and Applications

For Pipettes:
For Burettes:

Key Differences

  1. Precision and Volume Range: Pipettes are designed for dispensing small, precise volumes, often in microliters, making them ideal for tasks requiring high accuracy. Burettes, on the other hand, are designed for larger volumes, typically ranging from 10 to 100 milliliters, and are used when precise control over the dispensed volume is needed.
  2. Ease of Use: Pipettes are generally easier to use, with simpler operation and quicker handling. Burettes require more careful handling and attention to detail, especially during titrations.
  3. Disposability: You can use disposable pipette tip, which helps prevent contamination and simplifies clean-up. Burettes, being made of glass, require thorough cleaning and maintenance to ensure accuracy.

Conclusion

Talking specifically about liquid handling instruments, both pipettes and burettes are essential tools in the laboratory. Pipettes excel in tasks requiring the transfer of small, precise volumes, while burettes are indispensable for titration experiments and the measurement of larger volumes with high precision. More so, by understanding the differences between these instruments helps scientists and technicians choose the right tool for their needs, ensuring accurate and reliable results in their experiments and lab work.

2024.06.01 12:40 acalem What Dropshipping gurus on YouTube don’t tell you

If you’ve been following me on here, you know I am a drop shipping veteran. I have been doing it for the past 11 years and I think I am qualified to say I know the ins and outs of the business model.
It still surprises me that Most people on YouTube (the so-called Dropshipping gurus) still promise you that you will become rich in two weeks without hardly putting in any effort. Let me give it to you straight: nothing could be further from the truth. I’ve made well over seven figures with drop shipping and I also failed a lot. So let me share with you the information that is missing from 99% of what you see on YouTube.
  1. Do NOT copy what’s already working
that’s one of the phrases they tell you most often. Just copy what’s already working and you’re done. Usually the method shown is researching your competitors, look at their best selling products and sell the same stuff. But think about it. If we are all doing that, in the long run, we’re all competing, only based on price, driving our profit margin down. Customers aren’t stupid and know they have seen that product somewhere else for a cheaper price. So do not go out and sell products everyone else is selling. Instead, make sure to do proper niche research. Select a niche first (you can download a guide containing 300+ niches for free in the links section of PassionsToProfits). Then spend some solid time, researching it deeply. Join private Facebook groups around your niche, go through all the posts to get into peoples minds and how they think, how they talk about products, what they value in terms of features and benefits, etc. Do the same thing on Reddit. Then look at best selling products in your niche on Amazon and look at the NEGATIVE reviews. That will tell you what can be improved. Those are good ideas for when you go out and research products. Only when you have done your homework, go onto websites like AliExpress and try to find unique products that hardly anyone is selling already. Yes, that takes time and work. And lots of patience. I have found a few of my bestsellers hidden on page 53 in the search results. Sometimes it took me two weeks before finding a really good product I could attempt to sell.
  1. Advertise your products properly
By that I mean do not rip off someone else’s product video or image and run with it. Order a sample or two, analyze the product, use it yourself and shoot your own product video. Again, that takes work, but it will pay off. Make sure to show the main product benefits in the first few seconds of your video, followed by the characteristics/features and additionalinformation (instructions, assembly instructions, etc.).
  1. You should NOT use drop shipping from China forever
It’s great for testing the validity of a product, but you should not use this business model for a long time. The main reason has to do with supply chain issues. It takes forever for products to arrive, and you can get away with it if your product is truly unique and people cannot get it elsewhere. But even then, two weeks is a long time for any product to arrive. So once you find a winning product, make sure to look for bulk order options and import it into your country to a local fulfillment warehouse. That way you can get products quickly to your customers doors, and also avoid the typical downtime during Chinese new year.
  1. Not any product is suitable for drop shipping
I won’t go into too much detail about this here, because I wrote a detailed post which you can check out here: https://www.reddit.com/PassionsToProfits/s/SAg2p9JCGe
I could go on and on, but I’ll stop here for now. Feel free to share your experiences in the comments or ask questions. I’ll do my best to answer them.
Note: Nowadays, I am more focused on print on demand, because it eliminates all the supply chain headaches. The majority of suppliers and fulfillment companies are based in the US and I hardly receive any customer emails asking where their stuff is. Plus, product quality is great and I have happy customers :)

Previous Interlewd XLI Next First

---Sample---

---Fnurfar’s perspective---
---2710 Terran Calenda3 years BF---
All six of my paws desperately scramble against the slick pavement of the Prosperity back alley as I flee for my life!
Pursuing me… is a monster!
His species aren’t meant to be sprinters!
They said if it came to a chase, I just needed to quickly get out of his line of sight and keep going and he’d not be able to keep up!
I skid around a corner and steal a glance behind me, seeing two furious eyes moving towards me so fast that they seem to leave streaks of emerald green behind them as afterimages!
The Fury is so close on my tail that he’s almost certain to catch me now!
It would be laughable how much my… ‘employers’ had underestimated him if it weren’t so terrifying!
Youve got a Terran with you! There should be no issue!’
Yes, that idiot mercenary they hired almost had me going with his smug, arrogant proclamation that ‘Big=slow! Slow=dead!’ as he idly showed off his little knife tricks!
My confidence lasted up until the very moment I saw the one we were supposed to rob!
[20cm] taller than the skinny mercenary and looking like he could easily weigh twice as much, the man was a Hunt damned beast compared to the one who was meant to protect me from him!
I think Flynn reassessed his cocksure attitude as well because, rather than waiting for me to have an opening like we agreed in the [fucking] plan, he just drew a knife and tried to stab the monster to death!
An extremely poorly calculated risk!
There was no competition!
This juggernaut dealt with Flynn as easily as Flynn could have dealt with me!
It took him a matter of seconds to dispatch my accomplice but that was a matter of seconds where he was distracted enough that I was able to snag what we had been after… not that it makes any difference now!
Just as I hear thundering footfalls coming up on my left, powerful fingers impact the space between the bottom of my neck and the top of my top shoulderblades.
I’m slammed into the ground… but not killed
I can feel the power contained in the iron grip around my neck…
I know that decapitating me would be as simple as deciding to close his fingers but, as I wait for death to come, it doesnt
Instead, the hand slides up my shoulders, gathering the loose skin and lifting me up like a kit in her parent’s mouth…
The first thing I’m able to see is the monster’s flat, booted feet, followed by a pair of long thick legs, then a chest and left arm covered in a loose fitting, buttoned shirt, patterned with vertical and horizontal lines.
The red fabric of his top disguises the bloodstain from the wound he got from Flynn, just below his shoulder. However, the nauseatingly metallic smell of it absolutely fills my nostrils!
The final thing to be revealed, as my feet hang more than [a metre] from the ground, is a face… the scarred skin a pale beige, the white, calcite teeth bared in a furious grimace, copper coloured eyebrows tilted downward in the middle over a nose, wrinkled with anger, and emerald eyes, burning with rage!
His shoulders rise and fall, in time with panted breaths he sucks in and out through his gritted teeth, putting me less in mind of a person (or even an animal) catching their breath after exertion and more in mind of some hulking piece of machinery from the Steam Age venting its pressure!
The Terran extends his pallid skinned, long fingered, furless, pentadactyl left hand to me, stained with the ferrous blood that’s run down his sleeve, and growls “Sample!”
No…” I breathe, terrified.
GIRL! I AINT fuckin’ PLAYIN’ with you!” he snarls, curling all but his index finger and jabbing it towards my snout “You’re gonna. GIVE. BACK. what you. FUCKIN’. STOLE!”
Youcan take itfrom my corpse…” I defy, clutching my exhausted, trembling pawhands to the front of my jumpsuit.
Effortlessly, his free hand comes forward, batting my four aside, before pinching the top of the stasis vial and pulling it free, with there being absolutely nothing I can do to stop him!
He holds up the tube, in which is visible a small plant with a rosette of frilly black leaves and through which can be seen a frozen impression of the room it was in when it was stasised, demanding “You’re really willin’ to die for this!? For corporate espionage?!… Why the fuck’s this matter to you like that?!?!?!”
“I dont careabout the plantat all…” I answer, defeated.
His face twists in a sneer as he asks “Then why tell me I had to pry it from your cold. dead. hands!?”
Becauseif I come backemptyhandedtheyre going totorture my husbandand sonand make me watch!… If I dontcome backat all… maybe theyll let them go!” I pant in answer.
His face falls blank… but I can tell that is not because he’s no longer angry!
Instead, his redoubled rage has gone from white hot to ice cold as he leans in and demands “Whosthey’?”
---2715 Terran Calenda2 years AF---
One!?” demands the sceptical, lutrine, Nvar man, one of six listening to my story for the first time (along with the two friends who’ve heard it before), holding up a webbed pawhand and extending a single finger “You’re trying to tell us that one Terran dismantled the entire Giluspri Sisters’ Syndicate, overnight!?… Simply because you told him a sob story about them holding your family hostage!?”
“I did say you wouldn’t believe me(!)” I smirk, lifting my drink to take a sip.
“You’re damn right I don’t believe you!!!” he sneers “It might have been a little more believable if you’d made it a team of a dozen or so Terrans that were guarding this thing but one!?… There’s no way it took a single individual a single night to root out and entirely destroy an enterprise that Prosperity’s government had been hunting for nearly [2 decades], even if that individual was a Terran!”
I place my drink down on the table and turn the palms of all four pawhands to the ceiling as I say “Believe me or dont… that’s exactly how it happened!”
“Hmmm… Don’t know ’bout ‘exactly’…!” comes a familiar voice from behind my head, in the next booth over.
I freeze and straighten my back.
The friends and audience in my booth are looking past me, curiously, but, from their faces, it doesn’t look like they can see anything.
I stand and slide out through the gap between the table and Nafnarl’s footpaws.
I turn right and am immediately able to see that the booth next to us is occupied by a mixture of Terrans and some much smaller humanoids with green skin.
I keep going, rounding the partition to reveal…
“By the Hunt! Victor?!” I exclaim, seeing the man sat with his back almost exactly to where I was sitting, next to another tall, slim humanoid with blue skin and four arms.
His copper hair is much longer, his face isn’t as scarred and isn’t wearing the disgusted sneer that characterised so much of the time he and I spent together but… there’s no mistaking it!
The man turns his head, smiling, before standing up to nearly twice my height and extending a palm to ruffle the fur between my ears, saying “How’s it goin’, Foxy? You look a lot better ’an you did last time I saw you at least(!)” gesturing with his other hand up and down my less skinny and less visibly scarred body.
“Never mind that, Victor! What are you doing here?! You didn’t tell me you were coming back to Prosperity!”
He smirks “Yeah, sorry Foxy… It’s a loose lips sink ships kinda deal… Just thought I’d show my friends here the bar you brought me to celebrate after everythin’ was done that time… Didn’t think I’d actually run into you here!”
I stare up at the man, agog, for a few moments before reaching up with both my left hands and closing them around his wrist.
He allows me to drag him back to the head of my table.
“Nafnarl! Gfurnaf! This is him! This is the one I’ve been telling you about for the last [5 years]!” I say to my two Graufna friends before turning to the rest of the table to declare “Hes the man who took down the Giluspris! He’s Victor ‘Cuddles’ Taylor!”
With mirthful bemusement, the Terran raises his left palm to the table to smile “Y’alright guys!” before his eyes scan the faces and his expression goes concerned. He turns to me and asks “Your hubby alright, Foxy?”
I bare my teeth (I hope friendlily) and answer “Fnarnulf’s fine, Victor!… Fuffarn too! This is just a girl’s night…” gesturing at my two friends “…or… it was(!)” gesturing over the four men and two women, of four different species, who joined us to hear my story.
“What did you mean by it not being ‘exactly’ right?” queries Lunvo, the same sceptical Nvar who voiced disbelief before, still looking sceptical (not that I can blame him) but at least impressed by the fact that the ‘con’ has an (imposing looking) Terran stooge now(!)
Weeeeell…” Victor frowns down at me, mirthfully “…the way she described me dodgin’ that knife attack, she made me sound almost psychic(!)… In reality, she and this guy werent as smooth as she seems to think(!) The fact that I even got nicked by someone I was payin’ as much attention to as that is a bad reflection on my reaction time!… Also, she kinda made it sound like I went into their headquarters with a gun in one hand and a lit plasmasword in the other(!) As I recall, I gave ’em all a chance to surrender and come quietly and it were only after they, shall we say, indicated a lack of interest in that option that my weapons first cleared leather!… Oh! And what was with all that comparin’ the way I pant to ventin’ steam engines, Foxy(?!)”
But…” starts Muan, a nervous tolypeutine Wne woman beside her Wno husband, Kmuw “…you don’t deny it was you and you alone who brought down the Giluspris?… Without help?”
The pale skin of the Terran’s flat face performs a complicated scrunch as he considers the question before answering “Don’t know ’bout ‘without help’… I had Foxy here for showin’ me the way, after I’d done a lotta convincin’… and, once I’d taken care of ’em, local law enforcers came to take the survivors away… Aaaaand… I probably didnt actually manage to kill or capture every last one of ’em… just gutted its power structure enough that the rats fled the sinkin’ ship(!)”
“Why are you calling her ‘Foxy’?” asks Lunvo, four eyes narrowed in suspicion “‘Fnurfar’ is the name she gave us!”
The large man shrugs his shoulders “I didn’t get her name until we came here to celebrate… she didn’t trust me to give it… Had to call her somethin’, so I called her Foxy.”
“Hmmm…” responds Lunvo “…I’m not buying it…”
Victor raises an eyebrow “You ain’t buyin’ me givin’ her a nickname(!?)”
“I don’t believe any of it! The whole story reeks of the fanciful!”
I bare my teeth and slam my paws on the table before snarling “I don’t care if you question my honesty, Lunvo, but this man saved my husband’s life, my son’s life, the lives of dozens of others, freed me from effective slavery and freed this planet from its largest criminal syndicate! I will not have you questioning his integrity!”
Lunvo cowers away from me, despite the table separating us.
I feel a large, strong hand on my shoulder.
I turn to see a smiling face.
Eeeeasy there, Foxy… ’Preciate the defence but there aint no need to get heated over it!… ’Specially not when there’s a really easy way to sort this out…” he looks up at Lunvo and asks “Lunvo, was it? Could I ask you to look up the front page of the Prosperity Chronicle from the 3rd of September, 2710?… I think you’ll see a picture of me shakin’ hands with your governor at the time…”

2024.06.01 09:41 Wise-Judgment-4347 Am I the asshole if I refuse to go home because I think I might commit suicide if I do.

I'll be leaving uni for home in a few days time, but I just got off the phone after talking with my parents and siblings and had felt triggered about the past 2 years and how I almost commited suicide because of all the stress and pressure of putting up with what had transpired. For context, I'm 24 (F) in my last year of uni, and I have two brothers 30(M) and (5M) who live with my parents (Both in their late 50's), who live in the country side. I had been diagnosed with heart disease when I was in highschool and since then things have been tough for me, with losing all my weight and having to go through three different schools just to complete high school because of my health, but since then I have got the hang of taking care of myself and my symptoms, I have gained weight, made it to uni (which was a suprise not only to myself but my teachers as well) and am almost done with uni, and I could not be prouder. However, this past week has been a roller coaster, with thoughts of committing suicide lurking in every corner, I didn't know why at first but after talking to my parents on the phone bits of memories came flooding back to me about how I thought I reached my point of living and that my heart was gonna give out any moment or that it would be better if I'd just off myself with that sharp knife in the corner by slitting my wrists open. You see, my mum had this really bad lung infection the Christmas of 2022 while I was home for the holidays, and I took on most of the responsibility of taking care of her from 5am in the morning to the next morning where I'd sleep at 3am after ensuring she was okay, then wake up to do it all again. Don't get me wrong, I loved taking care of my mum, it made me happy that I could be there when she was at her weakest to lend her the strength and care she deserved after taking care of me all these years. It all happened one afternoon when my brother has come home afted being gone all day and did not even receive an earful from my parents (or mainly my dad) like I did for being out for just 2 hours to unwind from taking care of my mum and nursing her back to health all while not having any contact with friends or the outside world then our yard for almost 2 months, I was called selfish by my dad and told that my actions were stupid that if my mum would die I'd look stupid crying for her just like my mum's sister who chose to go out and meet friends the day her father died, that I was supposed to be at home with mum taking care of her. My dad is a stay at home dad, my older brother dropped out of college and my mum is the sole bread winner of the family. While my mum was sick, my dad would get groceries, attend to church meetings, ensure the yard was kept clean lend a hand when it was needed with caring for mum while my brother ate, slept on time, had time to meet friends, throw his plates in the sink without washing them and not lending a hand with helping mum. Meanwhile I spent my days bathing her, dressing her, feeding her, massaging her body, changing her hot water in her mugs to ensure she stayed hydrated because that's all she could drink without coughing , cleaning her sleeping area and sanitizing it everytime she had to go to bed after a warm bath as well as watching over her as she slept to ensure her pillows were placed in a way that didn't obstruct her airflow all while also ensuring that everyone's laundry was done and put away, food was cooked and served, plates were washed and put away, my little brother was cared for also while doing part of my dad's work around the house to ensure he got enoughg sleep at night, since we lived by the country side there were a lot of chores to do around the house as most of the things were done manually or by hand. I did this until she got back on her feet and was able to do little things around the house without my help. After a week or two when my mum had improved told my parents that I'll be gone the next day after lunch to see my friend and that normally before mum got sick Friday was a free day for me that I get an off day of doing house work. So the day came, I dressed up (I felt pretty after not being able to do that in a whole) and left after ensuring that my big brother was home to assist mum whenever she needed and also checked on my mum to see if she was okay and that she didn't need my help before I stepped out of the house at 2pm. The walk to my friend's house felt like heaven, with sun in my face, the breeze on my face and the skip in my step. I spent the afternoon talking, laughing and having a good time with my friend before going home at 5pm, happy and satisfied that the day had brought me so much joy and relieved my stress. I got and came in with a big Hello, to everyone in the house, my dad didn't say anything, he just sat there looking so mad. And that's when he proceeded to call me selfish and compare me to my mother's sister all while my mother and brother sat there saying nothing, I atleast thought they would've spoken up to say that I needed the break, but they didn't. I cried as ai stood there listening to my dad utter out harsh words until I couldn't listen to him anymore. I proceeded muster up a less shaky voice and said the following "I apologies for going out to see my friend and I apologies mum and dad it won't happen again, but the thing is I needed this, after taking care of mum and the house I just needed a break. My brother gets to go out, meet friend and talk to them and even stay out till late but he never gets scolded but when I do it's different. I do everything in this house, I take care of mum, wash all of your clothes, cook the food, feed you all and even wash up after everything and you big brother can't even wash your own plate or lend a hand. Oh and dad I spend the time I get after mum finally rests during the day to do some of your chores to cut down the amount of time you spend doing them in order for you to get a good night's rest and I go to sleep early in the morning just to wake up after 2 hours and do it all again. So I'm sorry that I had to go out, but I really needed it." After saying all that, I went up to my room and cried the whole night. The next morning I came downstairs at 10am to find my dad washing up and my mum on her phone, it was a quiet day, I thought my brother was in his room, then the we got heard that he had actually left in the morning to go visit my aunt who is a 30 minute drive from our house, where he spent the day hanging out with friends and cousins before coming back home at 6pm with my grandma who came to spend a week with us. My dad upon hearing the news that my brother was had left in the morning just shook his head and said that my brother should have stayed and lend a hand around the house, but after my brother got back I was hoping he'd get the same scolding my dad gave me, well that never happened. I went to my mum and asked her why wasn't daddy scolding my big brother and she did not say anything so I spoke up and said aloud, "wow, so I get a scolding for staying out for just 3 hours but he gets to stay out for an entire day without helping out around here and he gets welcomed home?" I then went to my room because I didn't want them to see the tears that started to fall, then it hit me when I was in my room crying, everything that happened over the years on how differently I was treated, my accomplishments my birthday's and even my sickness. It hit me how differently I was treated, my brother had big graduation foods prepared and his graduations were celebrated from primary all the way to high school and little courses while I just had a well done from my parents even after taking in prices since I was in elementary, thought they'd take me out to eat a celebratory lunch after my high school graduation because it was the hardest part of my life to pass but all I got was a disgusted look and a 'thats what your wearing?' after at my graduation after I took my gown off to take pictures. I can't remember the time I blew out candles for my birthday or when a party was thrown for me, but my brother somehow has a cake for most of his birthdays and he had a really big party once with four big cakes, a whole roasted pig, lots of food and even had all his friends invited. When i reaches the age of 14, the same age he was when my parents threw him a party, I thought I'd have the same too, but I didn't, and still had not one party until I turned 24. The day I turned 23, was a month after my mum got better, I spent the whole day cooking for everyone, was wished happy birthday after realising it was my birthday, I then told them I'd come down to eat later after I take a nap and that they should serve the food and leave mine on the dining table. I came down to find they ate most of the food, and I was only placed only a bit of food in my plate. I got mad and hit my plate on the table with just a little food spilling over, my dad saw this and screamed at me and told me that my future husband would beat me up and that my life will be miserable and bad because of what I did. Well you guessed it, I went back to my room crying, and that blade in my bag looked so tempting against my wrists. I also remember when my brother dropped out of college that I was blamed by my parents, with my dad telling me on my way back from the grocery store that I'm the reason my brother ended up like how he is because they show me too much favour growing up. And when my big brother was diagnosed with bipolar disorder after dropping out of college after misuse of alcohol and drugs my mum religiously took to the internet to search for diets, information and everything to do with it until he became better and she continued doing so for every little sickness like flu, meanwhile my heart disease was never on her search list. She even signed up for YouTube videos and lessons on everything to do with my brother health, and mind you my heart disease was diagnosed 6 years before he got bipolar. I left for school after the holidays, still exhausted and stressed from the entire experience. My body had reached its lowest point, I could feel my heart was tired, I was ready to die in my bed in my dorm, I had made peace that if my heart passed out before while rest I'd be okay with it. That's third year of uni was hell for me, my body never really recovered, I kept getting sick, had malaria countless times as well as typhoid three times in a row the same year. The stress combined with with the state of my immunity caused me to be sent to various medical officers and clinics to get my blood samples and x-rays to find what was wrong with me, why after being treated and cured my body felt sick. They thought I had tuberculosis, others thought I had STI's but all tests came back negative, and mind you all these tests cost money and my parents weren't happy with what they were spending for me to get this tests. It came to a point when I called my mum to tell her that I feel really sick and I'm stressed with my assignments, only for her to say "you're always sick, everytime we call you're sick. Don't you know we're tired of this, stop trying to get sick!". I'm tired of getting sick too mum, I thought to myself as I got off the call and stared at the pile of medicine Infront of me prescribed by the doctor as well as my heart meds, and they were too much, my mum's words over the phone kept playing in my head I I got my the blade on my study table and pressed it into my left wrist lightly drew it over to cut the skin, the pain felt soothinf, calming even, then I wondered how it would feel if I placed the knife on my study table and fell on it to pierce my heart, would the pain feel good? Would the thoughts stop? Would mum stop complaining? Would they mis me? What would happen to my body? Then I thought better of it and wrote in my dairy ro stop myself from doing ealxactly that then I was distracted by my medicine Infront of me with thoughts of "they would never know if you take all these and overdose, it'll be a painless death." The remainder of third year continued like these, with sickness and suicide thoughts until I went for job internship at a company I've always wanted to work in and life was good because i didnt for home for the holidays and I spent the holidays at school in my little dorm room with friends who looked out for me. Then 2024 rolled around and I'm properly rested, no stress and I'm happy. That's is until a month ago when my parents bought me my ticket to go back home to see them for the holidays that I spiralled, I had completely locked those memories away, but after every phone call this past month I'm left a crying mess with flashes of words said and feelings felt during that time and I go back to thinking of suicide. I nearly commited suicide on the 16th of may, i was truly gonna go throught with it, I wanted to so bad if only I did not see the bible verses in front of me amd if my roommates hadn't come back early. But I know, if I do go home now, I might actually commit suicide, if something like what happened in the past happens again, or if they say another harsh word, I wouldn't think twice of dying, because I'm done, I truly am.

2024.06.01 07:47 PreservedAlien [TOMT] [2012-mid 2010s] Song on the radio station Sirius XM Chill from around 2012

Hi everyone, I’ve had a song bouncing around my head for a few days and I’ve driven myself crazy trying to find it again. This song was quite popular on the radio station Sirius XM chill beginning around 2012ish and playing semi-frequently in following years. From what I can remember, it played most often at night.
As for the actual song, it uses the sample of “Oh oh sometimes, I get a good feeling, yeah” seen in Good Feeling by Flo Rida and Levels by Avicii, but I can assure you that it is neither of those songs. The backing track is somewhat similar to You Wish by Nightmares on Wax, especially starting at around 1:43 in that song. I’m pretty sure the name “We’re Finally Getting Somewhere” or “We’re Finally Getting off the Ground” or something along those lines is also related to the song in title or artist, but I’m not 100%.
If anyone could find this song, I’d be really grateful. I thought it would be an easy look up, but apparently I was wrong. I’ve tried Shazam, Google, YouTube, and consulted my sister, but none could provide what I was looking for.

🔗TruGlo Crossbow Scope with Unisex Camo Design

https://preview.redd.it/9jp3ydonyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d6b69189cab9b0cc6d9d5de679fcd017862fe01b
I've recently had the chance to try out the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope, a nifty piece of equipment for enthusiastic crossbow users like me. The scope's main highlight was its ability to find the range and calculate the correct trajectory for my crossbow bolts. In my experience, this feature proved to be quite handy in my local archery range, particularly for those days when the wind and temperature were unstable.
One of the things that stood out to me was the scope's robustness. It was designed to handle the harsh conditions of the outdoors, as evidenced by the sturdy aluminum body and the shock-resistant construction. This scope also offered a generous 4-inch eye relief, a feature that helped protect my eyes during those blustery hunting sessions.
The scope's lenses were fully-coated, making them highly resistant to glare, a common concern for crossbow users shooting in low-light conditions. Additionally, the durable leavespring for windage and elevation adjustments were a welcomed bonus, allowing me to finetune my shots with ease.
On the downside, one of the screws on the scope rings was stripped, a minor issue that wasn't a deal-breaker. I also discovered that the scope wasn't rated specifically for a particular crossbow speed. To achieve optimal accuracy, I had to adjust the scope manually, which was a bit tricky and time-consuming.
Regardless of these minor downsides, the TruGlo 4x32 Rangefinding/Trajectory Compensating Crossbow Scope proved to be an essential piece of equipment in my hunting arsenal. Its ease of use, durable construction, and helpful features make it an excellent choice for anyone seeking to upgrade their crossbow hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix Speedring Crossbow Scope: Improved Targeting for Hunting

https://preview.redd.it/yv4zob6oyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60d2a0609c5c176fe55e6a4aa81c3ea04c5b5485
Using the Killer Instinct MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope has been quite an experience. The scope has made hunting much more enjoyable for me, thanks to its amazing abilities to lock onto and track moving targets from vast distances.
One of the features that really stood out is the durability of the metal case. This thing has a real tank-like feel to it, resisting impacts and harsh weather as if it was made for it. The spring-loaded covers on the lenses also proved to be quite reliable, keeping the lenses safe and scratchless until I was ready to hunt.
The built-in Speed Ring is another aspect of the scope that has impressed me. Making adjustments for my crossbow's speed has been a breeze, and the illuminated reticle is a big help when it comes to sighting in low-light conditions. I particularly appreciate the contrast the red/blue illumination provides.
However, there was one downside that I found a little disturbing. The scope came in a condition that made it apparent that someone had used it before. I was not happy with this fact, especially considering I had paid for a brand new product.
Overall, the MSCKI-1020 Lumix Speedring 1.5 to 5 x 32 IR-E Crossbow Scope is a product that I would recommend, even with its minor fault. It certainly helped me become a better hunter, and it would do the same for anyone looking to enhance their hunting experience.

🔗Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Black Ir-E Crossbow Scope with LED Illumination

https://preview.redd.it/ocqm1hgoyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=03a8b9189f67d0e8c0a9f96708d1d18c65355a7a
I recently had the opportunity to try out the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. This black 1021 model was a great addition to my hunting gear, providing exceptional clarity thanks to its multicoated optics and 1-inch mono tube construction. The fast focus eyepiece is a game-changer, allowing me to quickly adjust my sight even when on the move.
One feature that stood out was the illuminated cross-hair reticle, which came in both blue and red. It was perfect for low-light situations, making it easier for me to spot my target. I appreciated the adjustment click value of 0.5 inches at 100 yards, as it gave me accurate and consistent shot adjustments.
However, there were a few downsides to this otherwise great scope. The exit pupil was smaller than I would have liked, making it a bit more challenging to see the cross-hair reticle at times. Additionally, the scope's weight was lighter than expected, which might not have been ideal for everyone.
Overall, I'm happy with my experience using the Killer Instinct Lumix 4x32 Ir-E Crossbow Scope. It's a quality product with some small drawbacks, but its pros certainly outweigh the cons. If you're in the market for a reliable crossbow scope, this one is definitely worth considering.

🔗Compact Variable Multi-Reticle Crossbow Scope for 300-410 fps Shooting

https://preview.redd.it/yxaiv8voyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7adea9e692c451fd6f3decb6bb45cff672f1af6f
As a reviewer who's been using the Dead-Zone Scope from Excalibur, I can confidently say it's a game-changer for crossbow enthusiasts. This 32mm, 1" tube scope offers unparalleled light transmission and clarity that makes it an ideal choice for those who prefer the thrill of hunting. Its variable multi-reticle design suits crossbows shooting in the 300-410 fps range, providing a perfect fit even for experienced hunters.
One of my favorite features is the bold crosshairs, which make it easy to sight in, even for us who don't have the sharpest eyesight. The scope provides a crystal-clear view, which has been essential in my hunting endeavors, hitting the bullseye consistently at 60 yards. Installation was a breeze, and the ease of adjusting the focus makes it a standout product.
However, one thing that could be improved is the set screw. After a little mishap with the speed ring, it's proven to be a bit tricky to tighten back up. Apart from that, I wholeheartedly recommend this Dead-Zone Scope to anyone looking for an accurate and reliable companion on their hunting adventures.

🔗3X Scope: High-Quality Kid's Telescope with 700mm Focal Length

https://preview.redd.it/exgmpb7pyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5841e6d0c44e722d4e9d76d7d7cca5ce6ea17c9e
When I first got this Amscope telescope for my son, I was surprised at how easy it was to set up. The tripod was sturdy and the adjustment knobs were simple to use. The magnification range was impressive, going from 35x to a whopping 350x! The 3X Barlow lens and two eyepieces really made a difference in what we could see in the night sky.
One thing I really liked about this scope was its light-gathering power. It gathered 100 times more light than our old telescope, making it much easier to spot celestial objects. The 90-degree prism also made it easier to view objects in the sky.
However, there were some cons to this telescope. The eyepieces could have been of better quality, as they were a bit blurry at high magnifications. Additionally, the altitude-adjustment knob on the tripod could have been more precise, making it a bit harder to find objects in the sky.
Overall, the Amscope-kids telescope was a great choice for my son's first foray into astronomy. Its ease of use and impressive magnification range made it a joy to use.

🔗High-Power Angled Spotting Scope for Exceptional Clarity and Distance

https://preview.redd.it/zd6wwekpyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=042b002343b59b4bdfb9db158fe349a936d8aac5
The Leica APO-Televid 82 Angled Spotting Scope is the perfect tool for birders and nature lovers looking to get closer to the action without limitations. With a sleek design measuring only 12.9 inches in length and 52.6 ounces in weight, this angled scope fits easily in your pack for a day of outdoor adventures.
The magnesium housing provides both strength and portability, while the scope body remains completely waterproof to protect against harsh weather conditions. The fluoride glass front lens element ensures excellent contrast and color accuracy, making this scope an exceptional choice for digital photography enthusiasts. With a minimum close focus of 12.8 feet and Leica's digiscoping adapters, this scope is perfect for capturing stunning images of wildlife in their natural habitat.

🔗Premium Spotting Scope with Folded Light Path Technology and 100% Waterproof Construction

During a recent trip to the mountains, I had the chance to put Leupold's Gold Ring 12-40x60mm HD Spotting Scope to the test. While the gray housing looked sleek, it was the scope's impressive durability that truly stood out. I had read that Leupold had implemented a proprietary nitrogen fill process to ensure a 100% waterproof and fog-proof performance. I eagerly put the scope to the test, by inadvertently dipping it into a small stream. To my delight, it continued to function flawlessly, proving the effectiveness of this innovative feature.
A few days later, I took the scope to a nearby wildlife preserve to spot endangered birds in their natural habitat. The scope's impressive magnification was an absolute game-changer. It allowed me to observe the delicate intricacies of these fascinating creatures, from the texture of their feathers to their unique flight patterns. The extra low dispersion optical system played a pivotal role in delivering stunningly vivid and bright colors, contributing to an overall remarkable viewing experience.
The tripod-ready feature also proved to be quite practical in my adventure, as it enabled me to easily stabilize the scope for extended periods of time, even under challenging conditions. The prism-less folding light path, which uses mirrors to compress the long optical system, was another standout feature. It significantly reduced the scope's weight and made it more compact, making it convenient to carry anywhere.
Although the price of this Gold Ring scope is significantly higher than most other brands, it's worth every penny. Its remarkable performance ensures that it remains a valuable addition to my gear, even amidst the vast competition in the market. With a plethora of customizable settings, the scope serves as an unparalleled guide for spotting and tracking game, be it for hunting or observational purposes. While the Leupold 20x60x80 Gold Ring might seem expensive, the extraordinary visual performance it delivers makes it truly worth the investment.

🔗Swarovski ATS-65 HD 20-60x65mm Spotting Scope: Lightweight & Comfortable for Outdoor Observations

https://preview.redd.it/x7x6rabqyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78408269b1db949d45445260f6564675d9272b1a
When I received the Swarovski ATS-65 HD 20-60x65mm Spotting Scope, I was ecstatic to finally have my own to join fellow bird watchers on our adventures. The first thing I noticed about this scope was its user-friendly ergonomic design. It was comfortable to hold and easy to maneuver, even with glasses on.
One feature that stood out was its bright, high contrast view. The SWAROCLEAN non-stick lens coatings did an excellent job of minimizing color aberrations, ensuring the image was clear and vibrant. However, I did find that the scope could be a bit heavy for long observation periods.
When comparing it to other spotting scopes, the ATS-65 HD truly shined in terms of its edge-to-edge sharpness and color fidelity. It was lightweight and comfortable, making it perfect for long days outdoors. Overall, I would highly recommend this spotting scope to anyone looking for a versatile and high-quality tool for their outdoor adventures.

🔗Advanced 15-45x60 FDE T Series Scope with ED Prime Glass and Mil-Hash Reticle

https://preview.redd.it/mt4jv1qqyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5db4de694cc6c2c48e46d29c8627920bce37638e
I've been using this Bushnell T spotting scope in my outdoor activities, and it's been quite the experience. The Mil-Hash reticle works seamlessly with the Mil-Base riflescope reticle, making zeroing a breeze. The scope has a heavy-duty, militaristic feel with a rubberized coating. The Picatinny rail mounts are a nice touch, and they're also compatible with a red dot sight for added accuracy.
The optical clarity is what one can expect at this price point, but it does the job well enough. The lens caps make it a breeze to protect the glass from dust, debris, and other environmental conditions. The only issue I had with the front lens cap is the lack of a lanyard attachment, making it easily misplaced.
The case, on the other hand, left me concerned about Bushnell's overall quality. The Velcro stitching on the lens flap failed on the first day, and the scope case seems too small for the scope. The magnification setting ring could use some improvement as well, but overall, it's an acceptable addition.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the scope has proven to be durable and holds up well under rough outdoor conditions. Its compact design and easy-to-handle eyepiece make it a top choice for avid spotters. With a solid construction, good image quality, and an attractive price point, this Bushnell T series spotting scope is worth considering for your next outdoor adventure.

🔗TDS350 2-channel Oscilloscope - 200 MHz Sampling, Accurate Data Collection

https://preview.redd.it/699v39bryv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5b03e90803246e54c801634a63961ec09fed3aa6
The Tektronix TDS350 2 Channel Oscilloscope has been an integral part of my daily life as an electronics enthusiast. This instrument, known for its exceptional performance, has been a game-changer in troubleshooting and analyzing complex electronic signals. The 200 MHz bandwidth and 1 GS/s sampling rate on each channel deliver accurate waveform representations, even at the highest sweep speeds. The oscilloscope's ergonomic design and intuitive user interface make it a pleasure to work with, whether it's set up for in-depth signal monitoring or quick troubleshooting of issues.
While the TDS350 excels in many aspects, its versatile capabilities can sometimes be overwhelming for beginners. Users might need to invest some time in understanding the various display modes, acquisition power features, and waveform analysis tools to get the most out of this instrument. However, once you have a grasp of its capabilities, the TDS350 proves to be an invaluable tool in any electronics lab or workshop. Overall, the Tektronix TDS350 2 Channel Oscilloscope is a reliable and feature-rich instrument that deserves its spot as a top-rated item in the oscilloscope market.

🔗Swarovski ATS/STS High Definition Spotting Scope with Extra Low Dispersion Glass

https://preview.redd.it/e68wtvkryv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=703d6b1547a78c788741a800fec795105822af49
For my money, I'd have to say the Swarovski ATS/STS High Definition spotting scope is worth every penny. It's a behemoth of a scope but once you have it mounted securely, it's hard to beat the view. The image quality is stunning, with bright, vibrant colors that really pop. The lenses are crystal clear, which makes for a sharp, crisp image even at higher magnifications. The ergonomics of the scope are great too - it fits comfortably in your hand, and the focus mechanism is smooth and easy to adjust.
The coated lenses really make a difference in terms of color and light transmission, which was evident when I was glassing a herd of deer one morning. The light transmission was so good that I could easily distinguish the individual deer, even with my eyes adjusted to the low light levels.
But, there are a couple of drawbacks. For starters, it's a expensive piece of equipment, so it's not exactly something you'll just throw in your backpack for a weekend hike. Additionally, the scope is quite heavy, which can be a problem if you're planning on carrying it for extended periods.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spotting scope to anyone who's serious about their outdoor pursuits. The image quality is simply unbeatable, and once you've used it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Just be prepared to dig deep into your wallet!

🔗UHD Spotting Scope with Apochromatic Lens System and Advanced Fully Multi-Coated Lenses

In the world of optics, the Athlon Optics Ares G2 UHD 20-60x85 Straight Spotting Scope has made a name for itself. It's not just for the birders spotting variances in plumage from far away or for the precision shooters who aim for targets at 1,000 yards, the scope's extra-low dispersion glass provides vivid clarity and resolution in a full-size spotting scope.
Athlon has cleverly designed it to be lightweight although strong, making it comfortable to carry and use for long periods. The aluminum alloy chassis adds to its strength without making it too heavy. With its twist-up eye-cup, it allows you to set the eyecup to the perfect eye relief for your eyes, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience.
Its ESP Dielectric Coating gives you an advantage in viewing with an image that has little or no chromatic fringe for the clearest and sharpest image. The UHD Glass in the lens helps in converging refracting colors into one focus point, producing greater contrast, sharpness, and color definition.
Reflecting over 99% of the light to your eyes, the scope brings you a clear, bright image and accurate color reproduction, thanks to the BaK4 Prisms coupled with advanced fully multi-coated lenses. It produces perfect brightness and color across the entire light spectrum, making viewing under different lighting conditions a breeze.
And when it comes to durability, the scope doesn't disappoint. It comes with an extra protective layer coating that keeps the exterior of the lens free from dirt and scratches. It's also Argon Purged and Waterproof, ensuring weatherproof performance even in harsh conditions. Purging allows for better waterproofing/fogging, making sure your scope doesn't fog up when you switch environments.
Overall, it's a joy to use this spotting scope. It's not just about viewing in high detail but also the ease it offers in using it. You won't be disappointed with its performance and features.

🔗Kowa TSN-82SV 82mm Angled Spotting Scope with Advanced Optics and Weatherproofing

https://preview.redd.it/sbwqvpjsyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7f75dfd2df188711d4a126560ab8e40403e569f5
As a reviewer, I've recently had the pleasure of using the Kowa TSN-82SV 82mm Angled Spotting Scope in my everyday life. This innovative tool has proven to be an invaluable addition to my arsenal, offering a host of impressive features that make it stand out from the crowd.
One aspect I truly appreciate is the scope's ability to gather a wealth of light, thanks to its 82mm objective lens. This feature has made a significant difference in my nature viewing experiences, allowing me to observe even the most elusive creatures under a variety of lighting conditions. In addition, the angled viewing design of the TSN-82SV is a game-changer for comfort during extended glassing sessions. The inclusion of a UV filter on the front lens also adds an extra layer of protection, ensuring that my scope remains in pristine condition for years to come.
However, no product is without its drawbacks, and the TSN-82SV does have a few shortcomings that are worth mentioning. Firstly, the zoom functionality at x60 can be somewhat limited, and I often found myself reverting to lower magnification settings for maximum versatility. Additionally, the device does have a relatively bulkier and heavier design when compared to some of its competitors, which may be a factor to consider for those planning extended excursions.
In conclusion, the Kowa TSN-82SV 82mm Angled Spotting Scope has undoubtedly earned a spot in my gear collection for its impressive light-gathering capabilities, comfortable design, and weatherproofing features. While it does have a few minor drawbacks, the benefits it offers far outweigh these issues, making it a highly recommended choice for those in search of the ultimate nature-viewing experience.

🔗Garmin LiveScope Plus: Revolutionizing Fish Finding Technology

Imagine you're out on your boat, eagerly waiting to cast your line and catch that elusive big fish. You've heard about the Garmin LiveScope Plus, and how it's revolutionized the world of fishing, but will it live up to the hype? Let me tell you, it certainly does.
The first thing that strikes you about the LiveScope Plus is its stunning resolution. It's like having x-ray vision underwater, allowing you to see every structure, bait, and fish swimming around your boat in real time. The easy-to-use interface makes it a breeze to navigate, even for a tech novice like myself.
One of the most impressive features is the adjustable transducer. Whether you're fishing in shallow waters or deep ones, the LiveScope Plus has got you covered. You can switch between Forward mode to see what's ahead of your boat and below, Down mode to get a clear view of what's directly beneath you, and Perspective mode for a top-down view. Your compatible Garmin chartplotter screen automatically displays the view changes, making it a seamless experience.
The Attitude Heading Reference System stabilization keeps your sonar view steady, even in rough conditions. It's like having a steady hand to guide your fishing adventures. Plus, the LiveScope Plus comes with a trolling motor shaft and barrel mounts, as well as Perspective Mode Mount, ensuring it fits perfectly on your boat.
However, there is one downside: the communication cable is only 6 feet long. If you're planning to use it on both the front and back of your boat, you'll need to order a longer cable. But aside from that minor inconvenience, the LiveScope Plus is an absolute game changer for fishing enthusiasts.
In conclusion, the Garmin LiveScope Plus is not just a product - it's an experience. It's like having a secret weapon that gives you an unfair advantage over the fish. And if you're serious about fishing, believe me, you want this on your boat.

Buyer's Guide

A 350 Legend scope is an essential accessory for hunters and shooting enthusiasts who prefer this particular ammunition. It enhances accuracy, efficiency, and overall performance when using the 350 Legend cartridge. This buyer's guide will outline the key features to look for when purchasing a 350 Legend scope, and provide you with valuable information to make an informed decision.

Important Features to Consider

https://preview.redd.it/fjinkxkuyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f4a39e4e01b58cc78c7d6bc7d02e92086f61870f
  1. Objective Lens Size
  2. Magnification Power
  3. Reticle Type
  4. Lens Coatings
  5. Build Quality
  6. Eye Relief

Objective Lens Size

The objective lens size is a crucial aspect of a quality scope. It determines how much light enters the scope, affecting the brightness and clarity of the image. For shooting in low-light conditions, a larger objective lens size is more beneficial. However, consider the balance between brightness and portability, as larger lenses can increase the overall weight of the scope.

Magnification Power

Magnification power represents how much the target appears enlarged through the scope. Higher magnification provides better accuracy at longer ranges. However, more magnification also contributes to a smaller field of view and increased image instability. Determine your primary shooting distances and select a scope that strikes the right balance between magnification and field of view for your specific needs.

Reticle Type

Reticle design plays a significant role in how the scope functions. Some reticles are simple crosshairs, while others are more complex with additional markings for estimating range, windage, and holdovers. Consider your shooting style and preferences when choosing a reticle. Consulting with a professional or reading reviews from other users can also provide helpful insights.

Lens Coatings

Effective lens coatings improve light transmission and reduce glare, leading to a brighter and clearer image. Look for high-quality coatings such as anti-fog, anti-reflection, and scratch-resistant treatments. These features contribute to the overall durability and performance of the scope.

Build Quality

https://preview.redd.it/7jyxkgjvyv3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4532d25b5a575d6563244d794e7efa6e3e22abdc
When searching for a 350 Legend scope, examine the build quality of the scope to ensure it can withstand frequent use. Durable materials, tight seals, and waterproof construction contribute to a scope's longevity and resistance to wear and tear. A well-built scope will not only last longer but perform more consistently over time.

Eye Relief

Eye relief is the distance between your eye and the scope's eyepiece that is necessary for proper viewing. Insufficient eye relief can result in eye strain, discomfort, or even eyewear damage. Look for a scope with sufficient eye relief to accommodate your shooting style, while also considering the scope's overall design and portability.
When selecting a 350 Legend scope, it's essential to consider the essential features and your specific shooting needs. By researching different options, reading reviews from other users, and consulting with experts or professionals, you can make an informed decision and find the best scope to enhance your 350 Legend shooting experience.

2024.06.01 05:35 DentistBoth7740 Ectopic pain

After having emergency surgery and having all my samples sent to pathology…. There’s no proof of conception. The surgeon said to watch for pain because the ectopic could still be in there. I haven’t gotten my hcg blood test results yet, but my pregnancy test are still positive. I still have both tubes, she left them. She said they looked fairly normal besides the left one was swollen. Now I’m worried that maybe there is one in my left tube. The only thing is how can I tell the difference between surgery pain and ectopic pain? My surgery was Tuesday morning and I was in pain, but I had no idea I was badly internally bleeding. I had a cyst that burst (possibly containing the ectopic but it got expelled when it ruptured).
What was your pain after surgery? Did it cause pains in your sides? My left side feels like a pulled muscle when I move and aches here and there, but I just had surgery three days ago.
Note: hcg levels were 42 then 65 forty eight hours later. Then 96 hours later they were 99.

2024.06.01 04:45 ujc7687 Unknown Song - "I Can Feel It" [footage from alternate universe 193778367291c]

Unknown Song -
(alternate universe equivalent of Fond My Mind) In 2013, this song appeared for the first time on music identification forum WatZatSong as a 31-second sample, posted by a user that goes by the name "iokpisg". The OP claimed to have heard this song on a Canadian radio station in 1984. In 2020, a longer three minute version of the song was found by looking through other websites with a user named "iokpisg", which they found in the website "First.am" with the user scrobbling the same type of music. After various attempts, he finally answered the Discord user by the name of "Globs", and sent the full recording. A Discord server dedicated to the song “I Can Feel It” was created, and is the largest Lostwave related Discord server to this day. “Kay Jay”, a previously well known Vimeo [in this universe, Vimeo became popular instead of YouTube] channel for snippets of lost songs, uploaded the recording to their channel. Along with the black and white image of a dirt road which would be then commonly associated with the song. In 2023, a user by the name of I-KYXD wrongly claimed the song as his own, which also caused Kay Jay's channel to be deleted due to copyright. Although these claims were false, Kay's channel has not reappeared.

2024.06.01 03:02 Total-Connection-309 Greetings, I started a project to create & promote Filipino music on YouTube. As a proud Filipino, I hope to promote the beauty of our national language through music

Background: I’m a university graduate who loves to listen to music (I’m sure most of us do)
I literally enjoy all kinds of music.
Don’t get me wrong, I love k-pop but I’m a little bothered with the proliferation of Korean pop culture in the Philippines
I see this as a form of “cultural imperialism.” South Korea floods our country with their pop culture, thus benefiting their economy but the Philippines, as a country, gets nothing in return (except some happy fans who spent a fortune)
What’s worse is that, there’s a sizable number of Koreans who looks down on us
I want to help change all that. With the latest technology, I’m able to create songs in the Filipino language
I don’t want monetary compensation in return. All I want is for you all to play these songs in public.
Whether you’re at a party or just driving, please play these songs. Your subscription to the channel will also help me have the motivation to keep going
I want Filipinos to listen to music in their language I started this project less than 2 weeks ago.
Here’s my YouTube channel for this project
Sample:
Here’s my popular song so far
Here’s my other popular song
Thank you for reading and I hope I’ll get your support!

2024.06.01 00:21 Friendly_Steak_841 Starting a singing YouTube channel; want to do covers (to start), but don't want video(s) to be taken down or copyright striked? Please help?

I've looked all online, especially youtube, and there it all just seems to be really gray area big time, so I'm totally lost! I've seen videos galore on this and from what I've gathered, due to an agreement between YouTube and the music companies (not sure which ones?), you can post a cover to YouTube without a mechanical or sync license (from those websites like We Are The Hits or MLC/Harry Fox Agency), with the only catch being it'll get copyright claimed, but not copyright striked, or taken down. And for right now just starting off that's fine, I'm okay with the video getting claimed as long as it doesn't get striked and/or taken down. I just want to upload to YouTube first and foremost, and then promote my content (mostly re-posting snippets from my YT videos) on social media like Twitter, IG, TikTok, Snaphat, Facebook, etc (and are the rules different for those platforms?)
But then I've heard of people getting their cover videos taken down or even copyright striked INSTANTLY, and I've even seen some where they say they did the whole instrumental themselves and it still happened, and I'm not even planning on doing that! I was just gonna find some sort of royalty-free instrumental/karaoke version and put that in my video.
I don't know what to do, or what the right answer is. Will my videos(s) get taken down or will they just be claimed and that's it? And in one video I saw the way interpolation is described sounds like what I wanna do since I can't change the genre of the song since I don't know how to play any instruments and would probably only find a (royalty-free?) instrumental/karaoke version in the original genre. I already know I definetly can't use the original instrumental since that would be a sample (right?) but would what I'm planning on doing still count as interpolation (which according the video I saw you need a license for)?
TL;DR: Just want to upload song covers using my voice and whatever (royalty-free I think?) instrumental/karaoke backing-track I can find to use, but afraid of getting my video(s) copyright striked or taken down, but okay for now getting the video(s) copyright claimed as I'm just starting out and not looking to make money right now, just post and get exposure. Any insight or help would be so appreciated!

2024.06.01 00:03 ThorsHammock Tube free yippee!!

I’m resting at home after my bisalp! I’ve read just about every post on here for the past few months so I figured I’d share my story too. I’m so grateful for this wonderful community, and I hope my story helps someone the way you all helped me! Long post ahead, but I wanted to give all the details for those that want them.
I was raised very conservative, and saw children as something you had to have because there was no other option. I remember the moment when I was 14 and found out it was something you could opt out of, and immediately knew that was the path for me! I was 21 when I got my IUD, and if I could have just gotten sterilized then, I would have.
7 years later (this past January), I realized my IUD expires in November. I had a pretty terrible experience with the insertion, although it has served me well these years. I realized I didn’t want to go through that again, so I started looking into sterilization instead. I found this community, and the list of doctors. My consult was scheduled for end of February. Even choosing from the list, I was nervous about the consult, but everything went well. She did give me some alternative options (in American healthcare, giving alternative options to any procedure is a mandated part of the informed consent process) but when I declined, we spent the rest of the visit going over the procedure itself. We decided on a bisalp and IUD removal.
I was offered an appointment less than a month later, but with work and life plans, I opted to schedule out until the end of May. I didn’t have a separate pre-op appointment, just a phone call with an anesthesiologist about a month before.
That brings us to today! I was feeling pretty nervous this morning. I usually have a large breakfast so not eating wasn’t fun. I was allowed to have water and black coffee up to 2 hours before my appointment, and I’m so thankful I got to have my coffee!
My husband and I checked in and I was taken back almost immediately. They needed a urine sample for a pregnancy test, then I was asked to put on the gown and grippy socks. They got my vitals and inserted my IV. So far, the IV was the worst part of it. I have small veins, so I did have to get stuck twice. After that was over, they brought my husband back. My anesthesiologist came and went over everything and had me sign consents, then my doctor came in and had me sign some more consents.
I waited a little bit for the room to be prepared, then they came in to grab me. The anesthesiologist gave me some anti-anxiety meds. It felt like having a really strong cocktail. They wheeled me to the operating room, and put an oxygen mask on my face. They asked me to breathe deeply as they gave me the anesthetic. The anesthetic burned a little as it went in my arm (which they said was normal) and the next thing I knew, I was waking up in recovery!
The first thing I asked was ‘are they gone?’ And the nurse told me yes, and the procedure went very well! She asked my pain level and I said about a 6 (although at this point I don’t even remember any pain) and she gave me some IV pain meds. I was given some apple sauce and they went and told my husband to bring the car around. I got up, got dressed, and they wheeled me to the car.
I am a little phlegmy and sore from the breathing tube, and my first trip to the bathroom burned a little from the catheter (only the first time, it’s been fine since) but I’m feeling surprisingly normal!
I’ll be taking it easy at home with my cats for the next week. 28 years old, childfree, and never have to worry about pregnancy again. I feel like this giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders! If you made it this far, thanks for letting me share. If my anxious ass can make it through, you can too! Wishing every one of you an experience as easy and straightforward as mine!
TLDR: no more fallopian tubes, it was easy, I’m feeling great!

2024.05.31 22:25 biomed95501 High ALT/AST levels from mouse blood collection

Hey labrats, I am getting high ALT/AST levels from mouse (Balb/c) blood collection. We use a 21G needle to collect the blood from the heart. We collect the blood is SST-MINI Gold Top Tubes and send the samples off to IDEXX for analysis.
However, we had higher levels of ALT/AST than physiologically possible. This has happened twice with IDEXX. The first time, they mentioned that this could be due to contamination from the liver enzymes. The second time they mentioned that this could be due to hemolysis and recommended that we remove the needle before putting it in the SST collection tube. Has anyone else experienced this problemhave any suggestions/any alternate companies that do analysis of blood serum for ALT/AST/bun/creatinine?

2024.05.31 20:47 MettaWorldWarTwo In my twenty plus years wet shaving, here's what I've learned

I started wet shaving back in the day when php bulletin boards were the way most people communicated. I can't remember the board but they were my intro. It was before Art of Manliness came out and wet shaving went more mainstream.
Anyway, I've done it all and tried it all. The forum had a thread where you'd trade stuff around to try it all out without buying it. As a result, I tried SO MUCH stuff over the three years I was on that forum. High end, low end, just about everything.
I went through the obsessive early days, the routine focused days and now it's just part of who I am and I'd like to share that part with others along with some advice I wish people had given me back in the day.
I'm a 40 year old Scottish/German American with sensitive skin but I've recommended this setup to all my friends and get it for a birthday/wedding/etc present based on what I know about them and they've all loved it.
Brush - Get a good one. You only need one. Invest in it. Buy once, cry once. Get Badger hair. A brush makes lather. Badger makes more lather faster without the frustration of boar. I don't know what brand to get but that's what this forum is for. I've always used Best Badger because a brush can also do some exfoliation and the Pure+ badger doesn't do any exfoliating. They say Best is a good beginner brush. It's also a good ender brush.
Razor - I have a Samurai CS 102 bladed straight edge and a Merkur 23C safety razor. I've watched too many gangster movies to daily use the straight edge on my neck. Simple is best with double edged. Fancier ones break, rust, fall apart, are finicky and don't last. Get a simple one. I had the strop, straight edge combo that took too much work and time. I have a wife and kids and I leave the straight edge with a strop to the professionals like my barber.
Blades - When I started, I got a sample pack of 30 different blade brands from a forum user and tried them out. Feather had the best reputation on the forum but I found Derby Extras gave me the best shave. Try out different brands. This is what will make the biggest difference in your shave quality. Seriously. And if you're using a Mach Three, stop.
Pre-shave - I use Proraso pre-shave cream. I tried out the rest and then I found the best. I have fairly sensitive skin and it works well for me. Your mileage may vary. It might not be necessary but it's ingrained in my routine.
Shaving Cream - I use the proraso line in metal tubes. The really nice ones are good and have good smells/face feel while you're shaving but I use aftershave and cologne. I also never noticed a major difference in lather quality/shave quality between proraso and the higher end ones. I use different ones because sometimes I want a nice tingly face feel from eucalyptus in the green tube, sometimes I want a warming feeling from the sandalwood in the brown tube and sometimes I want a fresh feeling apple/lime from the white tube.
After Shave - Again it's proraso for the win. It also helps that I get the $32 combo tin that comes with pre-shave, shaving cream and after shave. I have a few others that I've used over the years that are kicking around and this is an area where I still explore and read forums like this for different ones. This is the one thing where it's up to your preferences and I suggest trying a few different ones and having different ones on hand because this is what you leave smelling like.
Other stuff - Get a Clubman styptic pen to seal up those inevitable minor cuts and a towel to warm up your face while you build up your lather.
Lotion - Make your own. Seriously. I use this recipe https://www.ouroilyhouse.com/homemade-shea-butter-lotion/ as the base and use other ingredients. I store it in 4oz plastic jars and we give it away to friends, teachers and people we know. It's a fraction of the price of any other lotion and 5x as good.
If you're still reading, thanks for taking the time. I don't see a trades thread in this forum but that was what was best for me back in the day. The community that cares about this stuff is huge and those of us who are older are always willing to share what we have.
Getting a package with used shaving cream, a small pack of blades and a razor someone found in an antique shop was always a good day. But not as good as the day I boxed it up again along with a few other things and shipped it out to another enthusiast.
I wish y'all BBS (baby butt smooth) shaves, no cuts, and the joy of a routine that is healthy and healing.
EDIT: I do see a few Pay it Forward threads but they're pretty big v. what used to be with a small set of things sent out more often and then a required follow up post with reviews. It's probably because there's so many more people here than in the smaller bulletin board days.

2024.05.31 18:58 SnooCupcakes5579 Negative events on Attune NxT problem

Hello everyone, in our laboratory, we use the Attune NxT for both simple and complex panels. However, in many cases, we observe highly negative events in the range from 0 down to even -104. We notice this behavior in both compensated panels and mono-labeled samples, so I don’t think compensation is the cause, In the negative tube, all events are perfectly at zero. In the experiment tube, there are events both ahead and behind, the population expands on both sides. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you know how it could be resolved? The support team claims that it’s related to a software function called background subtraction, which aims to eliminate background noise. However, sometimes entire populations disappear (for example, when I select all CD3+ events, I find 20% CD4+, 30% CD8+, and 5% CD4-CD8-, but the missing 45% of my CD3 events is nowhere to be seen)
