2024.05.17 13:08 digital_wiz How We Scaled a Hair Extension Brand using Facebook Ads and SEO to give $80,000 ROI in 6 Months (Detailed Breakdown)
Hello Redditors,
This is an incredible success story of how we helped a client achieve incredible results in just four months, generating an $80,000 return on investment (ROI) with a combination of SEO and Facebook Ads. We have completed many successful projects and there's a certain satisfaction in seeing our strategies translate to such tangible growth. I have tried to keep this post extremely detailed so that it can be beneficial for experienced marketers and newcomers alike.
The Client: Hair Extension E-commerce Brand
Revenue Split Between SEO and Fb ads: 3:2
Average Order Value: $350
Total Revenue(6 months): $140,000
Expenses(6 months): Product Cost + Delivery cost + Team + Agency Fees + Ads Cost+ Website Optimization + Packaging: $60000
Basic Company Background: The brand was being run by a Mother-Daughter duo for the past 3 months. They had a shopify website with average structure and were struggling with facebook ads themselves. Although they made few physical sales due to friends and relatives but were unable to utilize the digital potential of their business as such. After trying facebook ads for some time they wanted a reliable digital marketing team to work with and they were recommended to us by one of our other customers who has a service based business. Initially we connected majorly for facebook ads but after the initial discussion when were doing research from our side, we found that there is huge potential in SEO for this niche so we suggested that we should prepare a proper website on wordpress and focus on both SEO and Ads parallelly as, although Ads will give an initial boost to the business but SEO will bring some stability and help in building a sustainable business.
Facebook Ads Campaign Structure: - Our campaign housed multiple ad sets targeting users who are interested in fashion products and we also targeted audiences of some big and costly fashion companies. We were mostly targeting females aged 25-45 with good income source to have optimal conversions in the beginning, with our Seo efforts we planned to target a slightly younger audience as well which is going steadily as of now.
- We ran occasional promotions like "Buy x get x free" to boost AOV.
- Due to the high AOV and especially the product niche sometimes it is necessary to build trust so we used retargeting to build trust and showcase benefits, not just push for immediate conversions. Ads focused on comparison(Before & Afters), Customer Reviews, Hassle free product application and natural look, stylish look.
Ads Creatives and Brand Positioning: It's important to note that after deep research we could find that a major share our hair extensions customers are females aged between 21-45 so we did not actively position our brand as solving problems of low hair volume, but instead we focused on how the products ads style, gives a much better look and you can try new hairstyles and hair colors daily. Also since almost all the demographics in this age group are working, we tested a professional look angle as well which gave us decent results. In ad creatives as well as on the website we made the daughter as the face of the product as we want to slowly grow her instagram as well which can add another organic and sustainable stream of revenue. She shoots before and after transition videos, general product application videos and other videos for ads according to the target audience and brand positioning strategy we discussed earlier. Instead of making long videos focused on product details a lot, we made short but captivating videos which can appeal to the young audience’s fashion sense.
Key Takeaways from FB Ads: Mostly Meta Ads or Any other marketing tactic is just a traffic source but conversion will basically happen by how well you are able to communicate your product to the audience through your website. Its is necessary to have a smooth user journey, attractive offers, crisp information and right brand positioning on the website.
It is extremely important to make data driven decisions and track customer journeys meticulously. Always rely on your own tracking or google analytics to avoid the potential unreliability of Facebook Ads Manager.
Seo Strategy If you don’t already know this, SEO is all about how effectively you can strategize your content and technical efforts keeping a bigger picture in mind. After our initial keyword research we could find that the average Kd of the important keywords was low when it comes to commercial keywords which were directly related to the business.
It's important to note that since the website was being built after our onboarding only so it was easy for us to structure the website according to the SEO strategy that we prepared.
At every stage we had meetings with the developer to ensure that there are no technical issues that will hinder the SEO growth and future and also we structured the website to be SEO friendly. We built separate pages for all the product categories and after through keyword research we added content to those pages so that the pages itself can rank for commercial keywords.
After the website was ready we audited it for technical issues(Like mobile friendliness, H1 tags, canonical tags, etc) we started focusing on the content. We wanted to establish our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions and hair care industry in general.
Since the website was completely new, initially we created blogs(2-3 times per week) around informational keywords with low KD purely for increasing our website authority and bringing the initial traffic on the website. We have seen that usually people start stressing about approaching big websites for guest postings since the first day itself but if your keyword research and content is solid, that is not required in the beginning. Initially we focused on profile creations, image submissions, pdf submissions, internal linking in the content, web 2.0 backlinks etc and this was more than enough for us to rank for low difficulty keywords and increase our DA to a decent level so that our category pages can rank for low difficulty keywords.
Here I would like to include a tip, many times people are worried that what if the backlink that they have created doesn't get indexed. In the initial phase we work really hard when it comes to what we call as maturing our backlinks as this is the major factor for ranking on low difficulty keywords. So basically what we do is, we make backlinks of our web 2.0 backlinks itself which helps the primary backlink in getting indexed which ultimately helps with our website DA.
Also many people have been asking us in our previous posts how we structure our blog since I talk a lot about content quality, see it's not as hard and it doesn't involve a lot of research at least in the initial phase when you just have to rank on low difficulty keywords. In this phase usually what we do is study the top 5 ranking blogs on the particular keyword and make sure that we include more content and more subheadings then them. Also we try to find opportunities to include tables or charts wherever possible, we include good quality images(original if possible) and at this stage internal linking is very very important so we focus on that as well. In later stages although the basic strategy for framing the blogs remains same, overall content strategy varies a lot from business to business and requires a lot of strategizing depending on the brand positioning goals.
So after we were able to rank for low difficulty informational keywords and our Website DA reached a decent level due to our backlinking efforts, we started writing content around the fashion advice and common problems which people face related to hair in general. But as discussed earlier, we wanted to keep our brand positioning fashion centric, so even while writing about common problems we applied a positive and solution centric approach. We strategically placed internal links to our product pages in the content and tested popups with offers as well. Apart from this, we started guest posting as well at this stage. For finding websites for guest posting we used SEMrush’s backlink gap analysis tool and created a segregated list of blogs that we can reach out to based on their content quality and DA. By this time the store started generating decent revenue from ads and SEO so the client was completely onboard with reaching out to blogs for guest posting. Guest posting and overall strategic SEO application started generating a good amount of traffic for us and in 3-4 months the revenue generated due to SEO surpassed our Ads revenue as well.
Advantages of Combining SEO and Paid Ads While Facebook Ads played a crucial role in launching the brand and driving initial traffic, SEO has emerged as the primary driver of sustainable growth. This approach allowed us to:
- Reduce Reliance on Paid Advertising: As our SEO efforts matured, we were able to gradually decrease our Facebook ad spend, resulting in cost savings and improved return on investment.
- Build Brand Authority: Our SEO strategy has positioned our website as a trusted authority in the hair extensions industry. This fosters brand recognition and trust, leading to organic customer acquisition.
- Scale Traffic and Revenue: Organic traffic growth has been exponential, leading to a significant and sustainable increase in website revenue generated through SEO.
SEO efforts are always ongoing but we are really satisfied with the base that we have built and we are really looking forward to working with keywords with higher KD and generating more revenue with SEO In the upcoming months. Although we will keep running ads in future as well mostly for awareness purposes but the major revenue will be generated from our SEO efforts. Apart from this, as we mentioned earlier, we are looking to actively start the Social Media efforts as well from the next month itself. We will be looking to target Instagram and Tiktok in the initial phase and we believe in 2-3 months social media will contribute towards 25% of our revenue which will grow rapidly.
Thankyou For Reading!

2024.05.17 13:07 LossFallacy Kennismigrant (high skill immgrant) thoughts on new right-wing cabinet?
I studied a bit over 2 years in hardcore engineering/science in dutch uni for MSc. Then I become a kennismigrant.
Before I came here I learned the Netherlands by its reputation, open-minded, innovative and with nice people. However after I actually stayed here I have long been felt that this country doesn't really welcome anyone who's not Dutch.
I got random aggression on the street sometimes, this happens more often than you think. And it's not just coming from my own impression that Dutch are hard to make friends. I have other international friends but not a single Dutch friend after stayed for almost 3 years.
In my company, almost everyone on the tech side is not Dutch, some of which work remotely. I feel a nice interaction when I'm collaborating with my colleagues who's from Spain, UK or somewhere else. But when I go to the office once a week, which are mostly Dutch from non-tech side, e.g. product, sales, marcom, they would speak in Dutch and ignore me most of the time, also during lunch and other occasions, unless they want something from me. So I can only talk to one of my international colleague. And this scenario happens to many of my international friends, which I have never encountered with two of my Spanish speaking colleagues, they almost never speak Spanish and exclude me.
You would probably say "Well yOu ArE in the cOunTry yOu should sPeAk the LAngUage"
During my master's, the workload, stress, and financial consequences are incredibily high, comparing to local dutch students. Especially, when EU students could easily postpone their study and do intership freely, I can't. I need to pay €1800 per month if my graduation delays. Therefore I didn't take Dutch language class. But I gradually started to learn it when I was not that busy.
I also want to point out again that in tech industry, the local dutch cannot fulfill the market in hardcore tech. Many people and company came here to study and work due to the great English speaking environment. If this advantage is no longer there, with also the restriction on KM, I think top tier companies like Uber, ASML, booking, etc. would consider moving soon.
More importantly, with this kind of ring-wing coalition and the way they put in the propganda, I feel extremely unwelcomed and hostile. It disencourage my motivation of learning Dutch, I haven't opened Duolingo for weeks. Why would I learn the language if most people here is so unwelcoming and cold? Or if I have to learn another language why don't I move to Berlin, Munich? Or maybe Canada and Australia. All the Canadians I encounter are so nice.
Are there any other fellow internation kennismigrant in tech who's thinking about leaving? I would love to hear from you and grab a coffee or anything.

2024.05.17 13:06 Agreeable_Bet43 Advice regarding underage buyer asking for discount
I auctioned a digital camera that sold on Tuesday for $157.50. During the auction, multiple users with zero feedback bid, most of these accounts being created recently. I was already suspicious as to whether I would get scammed.
On Tuesday, the winning bidder (who had also messaged me several times during the auction to sell at a set price and has 1 feedback over a year old) messaged me again and says she didn’t realize that with tax and shipping it would make the camera around $180 so can I give her a break on the price. I responded saying she placed the bid and if she didn’t want to pay that she could cancel the purchase. She then said that she was 17 and needed the camera for a project and can’t I just help her out.
I did not respond back. I used the “report a buyer” function on Tuesday to report her asking for a discount and also that she was 17, as eBay states you must be 18 to have an account. I have not heard anything back from eBay and the item still shows waiting for payment. The user is trying to contact me again.
Once I’ve reported the buyer, does eBay do anything regarding the sale or do I have to cancel the sale myself? I saw that cancellation options are “buyer asked to cancel” or “provided incorrect address”. Do I just wait until the grace period for payment is up? Does anyone else have experience with this? Thank you.

2024.05.17 12:52 fxdatalabs_Yp What role does AI play in optimizing inventory management and logistics?
AI's contribution in optimizing inventory management and logistics
Introduction
In the
fast-paced world of commerce, efficient inventory management and logistics are crucial for business success. Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in this arena, offering advanced
solutions to optimize operations. This article delves into the role of AI in enhancing inventory management and logistics, highlighting its benefits,
applications, and future trends.
Understanding AI in Inventory Management and Logistics
AI encompasses a range of technologies, including machine learning, predictive analytics, and automation, that can process and
analyze vast amounts of data to make intelligent decisions. In the context of inventory management and
logistics, AI helps streamline processes,
reduce costs, and improve accuracy and efficiency.
The Role of AI in Inventory Management
Predictive Analytics for Demand Forecasting
One of the most significant
contributions of AI to inventory management is predictive analytics. By analyzing historical data, current trends, and external factors, AI can
accurately forecast demand. This helps businesses maintain optimal
inventory levels, avoiding both overstocking and stockouts. Predictive analytics also enables companies to anticipate seasonal
fluctuations and adjust their inventory accordingly.
Automated Replenishment Systems
AI-driven automated r
eplenishment systems can monitor inventory levels in real-time and trigger reorders when stock falls below a predetermined threshold. This automation reduces the risk of human error and ensures that i
nventory is always available to meet customer demand. It also frees up employees to focus on more strategic tasks, enhancing overall
productivity.
Inventory Optimization
AI can optimize inventory by identifying slow-moving and
fast-moving items, helping businesses make informed decisions about product placement and stock levels. Through
sophisticated algorithms, AI analyzes sales data, lead times, and carrying costs to recommend the best inventory strategies. This
optimization minimizes waste and improves cash flow.
Real-Time Inventory Tracking
Real-time inventory tracking is another area where AI excels. Using
technologies like RFID and
IoT sensors, AI can provide up-to-the-minute information on inventory status. This visibility helps businesses manage their stock more effectively, reducing the risk of lost or misplaced items and
improving order fulfillment rates.
AI in Logistics
Route Optimization
In logistics, AI plays a crucial role in route
optimization. By analyzing traffic patterns, weather conditions, and delivery schedules, AI can determine the most efficient routes for delivery vehicles. This reduces fuel consumption, lowers
transportation costs, and
ensures timely deliveries, enhancing customer satisfaction.
Warehouse Management Systems

Implementing AI in inventory management and logistics can
significantly reduce costs. Automated systems lower labor expenses, while predictive analytics and route optimization minimize
inventory carrying costs and transportation expenses. These savings can be reinvested into other areas of the
business, driving growth and profitability.
Enhanced Customer Satisfaction
AI contributes to improved customer satisfaction by ensuring that products are available when needed and deliveries are made on time. Real-time
tracking and efficient order fulfillment
processes enhance the overall customer experience, leading to higher retention rates and increased brand loyalty.
Case Studies of AI in Inventory Management and Logistics
Amazon's Use of AI in Warehousing
Amazon is a pioneer in using
AI to optimize its warehousing operations. The company's fulfillment centers use AI-powered robots to move items,
reducing the time it takes to process orders. AI algorithms also help Amazon predict demand and manage inventory levels, ensuring that
products are always available for quick shipment.
Walmart's Predictive Analytics
Walmart leverages
AI-driven predictive analytics to manage its vast inventory. By analyzing data from sales, weather forecasts, and other
external factors, Walmart can anticipate demand and adjust its inventory levels accordingly. This approach has helped the retail giant reduce
stockouts and overstock situations, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Challenges and Considerations
Data Privacy and Security
One of the main
challenges of implementing AI in inventory management and logistics is ensuring data privacy and security. Businesses must
protect sensitive information from cyber threats and comply with data protection regulations. Robust security measures and regular audits are
essential to maintain the integrity of AI systems.
Implementation Costs
While AI offers
significant benefits, the initial implementation costs can be high. Businesses need to invest in technology,
infrastructure, and training to integrate AI into their operations. However, the long-term savings and efficiency gains often outweigh the initial
expenditure.
Future Trends in AI and Logistics
The future of
AI in inventory management and logistics looks promising. Advancements in machine learning, IoT, and r
obotics will continue to drive innovation in this field. Businesses can expect more sophisticated AI systems that offer even greater accuracy,
efficiency, and cost savings. Additionally, the integration of AI with other technologies, such as blockchain, will enhance
transparency and traceability in supply chains.
Conclusion
AI is revolutionizing inventory management and
logistics, offering businesses the tools they need to optimize their operations. From predictive analytics and automated
replenishment systems to route optimization and
autonomous vehicles, AI enhances accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. While there are challenges to overcome, the benefits of
AI make it a valuable investment for businesses looking to stay competitive in today's fast-paced market.

2024.05.17 12:50 CaughtinPurgatory Don’t know whether to proceed with flat purchase - would you live underneath students?
I’ve been in the process of buying a flat (England) for a few months and have had some doubts. It’s a ground floor flat with a 2-bed maisonette on top, and the sale comes with the freehold to the whole building plus the leasehold to the ground floor flat (the maisonette above has its own 999 year lease). I’d be responsible for the buildings insurance (1/3 to the maisonette’s 2/3rds). There are no communal areas and there is no service charge.
It has been difficult to find a mortgage (whole separate issue) but I’ve today been issued an offer, yet don’t know whether to accept.
I found out last week that the maisonette above is a 4 bed student let (I was not told of this by the letting agent). The flats next door are also student lets.
I’m concerned about potential noise and being responsible for insuring a building containing students. However, the flat is in a great area where nothing virtually ever comes up, the housing market is insane in the city I live and it’s next to a great green space.
Do you think I should walk away?

2024.05.17 12:43 cazaroindia1 Key Points to Remember When Buying a Sofa
| https://preview.redd.it/3de0w0y9uy0d1.jpg?width=1380&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9fcc1a3353c88a5c40c530d77c375238dd71388a Buying a sofa is a significant investment, both in terms of money and the role it plays in your home. It’s where you relax after a long day, entertain guests, and maybe even take the occasional nap. With so many styles, materials, and features available, choosing the right sofa can be overwhelming. Here are some key points to remember when buying a sofa to ensure you make a well-informed decision that suits your needs and lifestyle. - Assess Your Space
Before you even start looking at sofas, measure your space. Knowing the dimensions of your room will help you determine the maximum size your sofa can be without overwhelming the space. Consider the sofa’s footprint and ensure there is enough room to move around it comfortably. Also, think about the sofa’s orientation — whether you need a left-facing or right-facing sectional, or if a traditional sofa will fit better. - Consider the Sofa’s Function
Think about how you will use your sofa. Is it primarily for lounging, watching TV, or hosting guests? If it’s for a high-traffic area, durability is key. For a formal living room, aesthetics might be more important. If you often have overnight guests, consider a sofa bed. Knowing the primary function will help narrow down your choices significantly. - Choose the Right Material
Sofa materials range from luxurious leathers to cozy fabrics. Each material has its own pros and cons: - Leather: Durable and easy to clean but can be expensive and may not be as comfortable in hot weather.
- Fabric: Available in a wide range of colors and patterns but may require more maintenance and might stain more easily.
- Microfiber: Stain-resistant and easy to clean, making it ideal for homes with pets or children.
Consider your lifestyle and who will be using the sofa when choosing the material. - Check the Frame
A sofa’s frame is crucial for its durability and longevity. Look for frames made from kiln-dried hardwood like oak, ash, or beech. Avoid frames made from softwood like pine, which can warp over time, or particleboard and plastic, which are less durable. A good quality frame should feel solid and sturdy. - Examine the Cushion Filling
The type of cushion filling affects both comfort and durability. Here are some common options: - Foam: Provides firm support and maintains its shape well but can feel too hard for some people.
- Feather: Offers a soft, plush feel but requires regular fluffing and can flatten out over time.
- Fiber: A middle ground between foam and feathers, providing a comfortable and supportive seat.
Often, a combination of materials, like foam wrapped in feather or fiber, offers the best of both worlds. - Test the Comfort
Comfort is subjective, so it’s important to try out different sofas in person if possible. Sit on the sofa the way you would at home — lie down, stretch out, and see how it feels. Pay attention to seat depth, back support, and overall comfort. If you’re buying online, read customer reviews to get a sense of how comfortable the sofa is. - Consider the Style
Your sofa should complement the existing décor of your room. Consider the sofa’s style, color, and shape. Whether you prefer a modern, minimalist look or a classic, traditional design, there’s a sofa to match. Neutral colors are versatile and can be dressed up with throw pillows and blankets, while bold colors can make a statement. - Think About Maintenance
Consider how much effort you’re willing to put into maintaining your sofa. Some materials and styles require more upkeep than others. Removable, machine-washable covers can be a lifesaver for homes with kids or pets. Leather requires regular conditioning to maintain its appearance, while fabric might need regular vacuuming and spot cleaning. - Budget Wisely
Set a realistic budget before you start shopping. While it’s important to invest in quality, you don’t need to break the bank. Compare prices from different retailers, look for sales, and consider financing options if needed. Remember, a higher price doesn’t always mean better quality, so do your research. - Check the Warranty
Finally, check the warranty before making your purchase. A good warranty can provide peace of mind and protect your investment. Look for a sofa with a comprehensive warranty that covers the frame, springs, and cushions for several years. By keeping these points in mind, you can confidently choose a sofa that fits your space, meets your needs, and enhances your home’s aesthetic. Happy sofa shopping! submitted by cazaroindia1 to u/cazaroindia1 [link] [comments] |
2024.05.17 12:42 OkStand7409 Omnidesk or Desky EOFY Sale
I’m wanting to buy a new standing desk and want either an Omnidesk or Desky.
Omnidesk usually have 40% off sales each EOFY, but they have just released their EOFY sale this year for only 25% off, and have called it their Biggest Sale of the Year. Do you think this could be the end of the 40% off sales? 😭
Does Desky usually have decent EOFY sales? They seem significantly more expensive than Omnidesk ($800 more for the same desk) but I can’t find anything online about past sales

Seller says so are they, and this pair is a EU 46 / US 12 buuuut they were a little too small for them and they reckon they’re more like EU 45,5 so a half size off. Any thoughts or insights I should take into consideration? I’m located in Sweden so we don’t have many options unfortunately. Thanks! submitted by algeriet667 to cowboyboots [link] [comments] |
2024.05.17 12:14 bakedburnerr Eclipse Solar devil corp?
Hi from NC.
Recently interviewed for a “hybrid/remote” job from indeed called eclipse solar. What threw me off is when they scheduled an interview for me, they said “congratulations you’ve been selected”. LMAO. And When I got there it was a group interview. Basically door to door sales.promising thousands a month. You get the “safety net” pay $35/hr if you don’t get any deals.
Im not taking the job ofc, but tried to look them up and all that’s coming up is solar eclipse news from earlier this year. Me thinks that’s a clever way to throw you off their trail.

2024.05.17 12:07 False_Resident_941 How AI businesses are the next big thing
Here’s the thing, I started an AI agency and the responses I get from the customers based on the solution I have for them is “holy shit you’re going to make a lot of money”.
They say that because they know it’s a great solution for them, I can literally build an AI extension of themselves so they can streamline their sales, which overtime provides a great ROI.
People aren’t even doing this stuff because they’re just too brain lazy to have this sort of vision which drives me crazy. So I created a sub called /aiagencymodel where I will start talking about it more, I’d recommend you check it out if you think you could do an AI business as well.
Let me know your thoughts on this AI business model.

2024.05.17 12:04 tareekpetareek Manpasand was an accounting fraud with beverages on the side
Let’s say you’re a company that wants to commit an elaborate fraud. What is the most egregious fraud that you can think of?
Maybe let’s not start with egregious. Let’s start with something simple! Here’s something that’s reasonably common:
- Pay people to buy your product (or like give them huge discounts or whatever). Inflate your revenue. Lie about your actual customers.
- Hype your company up. Do an IPO, take your company public. Sell some of your own stock.
- Slowly try fixing your numbers. If you happen to succeed, that’s great! You win. If you don’t succeed, you still win? You’ve done your IPO and sold some stock. That’s a lot of money.
This is the simple kind of fraud, which also makes it difficult to identify. You might have to talk to the company’s customers, read the fine print in its disclosures, do sanity checks of its financials, that sort of stuff. It’s tough to catch the simple kind of fraud, which is also why so much of it exists in the form of whispers and rumours without ever getting proven.
Now let’s go egregious:
- Why pay people to buy your product? Hell, why even have a product? Just manifest in your imagination that there are hundreds of thousands of people buying whatever you’re selling and write it down.
- Hype your company up! Do an IPO, sell some stock. This part remains the same.
- Don’t bother fixing your numbers. Instead, keep publishing imaginary revenue figures. Keep selling stock to public investors. Publish your financials every quarter with whatever numbers you like.
If you do this, there’s only so far you can go. Eventually, your hype will attract attention and someone might figure out that both your customers and product were creative imagination.
Here’s a SEBI order from late in April about Manpasand Beverages. Manpasand used to be a beverages company based in Gujarat. In 2019 the company shut down because it got caught in a bunch of frauds. It’s only now that SEBI published the details of what was happening. Probably
best summarised by fund manager Amit Mantri: [1]
https://preview.redd.it/25d5f1phny0d1.jpg?width=603&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1feaa1afa5f56420c74c5887202a6ac80630fcd Fake it till you make it (or don’t)
Manpasand faked its revenue (of course). It also faked its expenses, customers, vendors, tax liabilities, etc. How did it get away with doing this stuff? I don’t know, someone’s gotta ask Deloitte. They were Manpasand’s auditor for
eight years, resigning only in 2018. The company’s fraud came out officially in 2019—Deloitte, whose job was to make sure the books were right and also had access to all the inside information, figured that something was off only a year earlier!
Anyway, SEBI appointed its own auditor to figure out what was wrong with Manpasand’s accounts and the auditor came back with a bunch of stuff. [2]
Here’s the bit about Manpasand inflating its revenue. From SEBI’s order:
… CGST vide letter dated July 07, 2019, inter alia, informed that Manpasand had shown inflated sales figure in its balance sheet by way of receipt/ supply of fake invoices without actual receipt/ supply of goods. It was further informed in the said letter that Manpasand had floated 38 bogus/paper firms to inflate its turnover and that inward and outward transactions made with such bogus firms amount to Rs.188.48 Crore and Rs. 691.30 Crore, respectively.
Manpasand created
38 different companies and it both “sold” its products to those companies as well as “bought” stuff from some of them. Basically, Manpasand created...

2024.05.17 12:00 FunProfessional7585 Just me or no?
So I work for a small business that is expanding to Las Vegas. So not so small anymore. But anyway, ever since I started working here, which has been a little over a year, I have yet to make my full hours that they give me. I am part time, and for example if my hours are 30 for the week, I will be missing about 5 hours. Let me explain, I clock in on time every shift and I take my breaks on time. I’m very punctual. But, they make it a point to say TRY and finish earlier than our given time. Which makes no sense to me. I will try to milk my duties but they’ll rush me or try to rush my duties so we get out earlier. Most of the time it 7-8 hours I’m missing because of that. I’m all for finishing early, but not when this is the only job that I have and I’m trying to make my money. I get the idea of “watching labor” but how are they watching labor if they’re literally in the process of opening another location in a different state? Wouldn’t it make sense to not open a different location and focus on the location that is “lacking” sales? Is this common in other businesses? And just to clarify, I’ve been working here for a while. I’m a great worker, I’m one of those people who they can rely on for mostly everything. did I fuck up by sacrificing my time and energy working in this place? I’ve had other jobs, and all those previous jobs I had that gave me hours, were complete hours and then some! But this job, no and the actually want is to clock out earlier which makes zero sense to me. Am I crazy for feeling this way? I’m about to quit this job lmao.

2024.05.17 11:56 dxrshy Raising Awareness - Vinted Scams
I’m not sure if this has been spoken about already, but it’s doing my head in and I need to do something about it. There are scammers all over Vinted, we all know that, but I want to educate people on what the scammer’s accounts look like and how they actually achieve the scam.
Firstly, what do the accounts look like, these are the 5 things I use and you can use to tell if the account is dodgy:
Username: Usually a name with random numbers and letters intertwined, such as j0hnathan43z0 (not a real user name)
Price: Tends to include pennies such as £48.50 or £18.75, not very common for a legit seller to use pennies, so when they do, pls check their account.
Reviews/Followers: Almost always they will have 0 followers and 0 reviews.
Photos: Poor quality photos that are clearly cropped, and sometimes have a distorted/barcode-like pattern along one of the edges of the image
Wardrobe: Usually consists of completely random items, with very good prices. Check the background in the image of each item, are they similar? Or do they look like they are taken in what’s clearly a different household for instance.
How does the scam actually work you may be wondering… well:
What they do, is they list an item, using images stolen from an old sales listing from Vinted, eBay etc. The item will be very well priced. (Most of these scam listings are posted in the evening, at around 9pm onwards, however you may notice them popping up all day)
A person will be attracted by this price, and no doubt they will buy the item.
At checkout, you will notice the only courier option is Royal Mail. Why is this? Royal Mail is the only courier on Vinted that isn’t a tracked service, it’s only 2nd class, and because of this, you have to send a proof of postage receipt to the buyer as an image, hence the “Here’s the postage receipt”… message that shows when the seller has sent you said receipt.
The scamming seller will activate this message, in doing so, the Vinted software will update the buyer telling them that their item has been sent. However the buyer won’t upload an image of the postage receipt. (Some time after this, usually an hour or so, the seller will delete their account, I’m not sure how this bit helps the scammer in any way, but they often do this).
If a parcel goes missing on Vinted, Vinted will refund both the buyer AND the seller regardless. Services like InPost and Evri can be tracked and used to prove if the parcel has been delivered or not. Royal Mail 2nd class on the other hand cannot be tracked. So Vinted assume the parcel is lost and eventually refund both parties.
What Vinted fail to do however, is check the transaction for a proof of postage receipt. Checking if the seller actually sent the item off and can prove it, would allow the seller to be rightly refunded or not (the buyer will be refunded regardless). This is bad on Vinted part obviously, because Vinted are paying out scammers for absolutely nothing.
I can’t believe they are getting away with it and it has to stop, because people are paying good money for items that never arrive, and are then out of pocket for 3ish weeks before they are refunded. I hope this post helps the community and raises awareness.
Thanks for reading and stay safe on this marketplace.
If it’s too good to be true, it usually is!

But I don’t know where to start selling. It’s an automated call listening and scorecard AI that sits on top of existing software.
It provides feedback instantly and recommends improvements to every phone call. Even scores the employee out of 100 against company standards.
I know this is super valuable for increasing conversions, identifying high performers to send more leads to, analysing gaps in flow, get better at objection handling.
I’ve reached out to a few sales offices but I’m having no luck. This is literally game changing
