2024.05.28 01:38 AdultsOnStrike Expand-It Fried with Brush Trimmer Attachement?

Hi Everyone,
Bought the Brush Trimmer attachment for my Expand-it yesterday at Home Depot. Ran it for maybe 20 minutes on and off before it stopped working. The battery is fully charged and the tool will not power on. Used my Expand-it, maybe 10-15 times over the years. Got it with a blower. Which I've used the bulk of the times and ran it twice with an edger attachment. Does anyone have any ideas what's going on? Has anyone had trouble with the brush trimmer attachment? I have so much yardwork to do right now I'm so bummed about this. I had a snow thrower that worked once and the same thing happened, I think it was the trigger failing to power the unit. Does this happen with the Expand-it also?

2024.05.24 07:35 Professional_Prune11 Human Truama II----Section Thirty Two: Armed and Armored

What is up my best buds? how have you all been doing? Sorry about it taking me so long to get another chapter out; I was busy this last week. But we only have two more chapters in book two and they should be done and ready this weekend and posted next week.
Let's get this bread.
“Are you certain you have everything?” Nelya asked, watching Martinez and Kyroll load the bags into the rental SUV.
“It should be, but we will double-check,” Kyroll assured, hefting one of Lysa’s several bags up the weight, causing his healing rib to pang. He knew Martinez was likely similar to him and would not have left anything behind, so he was not worried about it, but if it made Nelya happy, he would ensure it was that way.
“Don’t worry, we will get everything,” Martinez smiled, turning about to look at Nelya, leaning against the side door to the house, clutching a mug of steaming tea in her hands—a boon considering the weather had been getting colder by the day.
Martinez and Kyroll had taken up the role of packing everything for Lysa. They did this for several reasons: it was the right thing to do, but Lysa also felt a bit under the weather. Her sickness had been on and off for the last four days, and Martinez was starting to worry.
When he and Nelya found her and Kyroll cuddled up and sleeping on the sofa, they thought it was adorable. That was until they found the evidence of all the clean-up: vomit on the toilet, rags in the trashcan, and Lysa’s clothes in the washer.
It was then that Martinez and Nelya figured out that Lysa was unwell—but that did not mean they would wake them. If Lysa had been so ill it warranted so, Kyroll would have dragged her to the hospital.
The Human just hoped that Lysa would start feeling better soon after they returned to Draun. He had never experienced her being sick before; now that he had, Martinez was glad of that fact.
Lysa certainly could be moody when sick. It was not that she was angry, but everything seemed to bring her near to tears or upset her—or her random thoughts would blurt out like she was some sleeper agent. One moment, they were cuddling on the couch; the next, Lysa ranted about how one of her coworkers upset her months ago.
It all seemed so random.
“I know you will, Deary. I’m just being a doting mother,” Nelya replied in a light, self-teasing way. “I fully trust my two lovely men.”
Martinez smirked at Kyroll, cringing at hearing Nelya refer to them like that. He knew that Kyroll had accepted Martinez when it came to remaining with Lysa, but the idea of a human being entirely a part of the family must still be a bit sensitive.
At least after Martinez and Nelya went on that walk alone the other day, he knew Nelya had entirely accepted him as a future member of their family. The entire time they were out, Nelya excitedly told him about the things they could do once Kyroll and Lysa started getting along, and he and Lysa finally gave her grandkids.
He reminded her that they still had to go to a clinic and he needed to graduate school, which meant nothing to the motherly Aviex. She was talking like having kids was already a done deal. It was cute that she was so confident about what their futures would look like.
Martinez knew the GU could guarantee their offspring through genetic manipulation; even then, that took years to get signed up for and even longer for the geneticists to prepare for any procedures. At least she was optimistic.
“Come on, let’s go make sure we got it all,” Kyroll said, stepping toward the back of the house.
“Righto,” Martinez followed.
“Oh, will you two have Lysa meet me in the living room? I want to talk to her about something before you two leave,” Nelya requested before they made it around the corner.
“No problem,” Martinez waved.
Once they made it through the billowing snow and to the guest house, Martinez and Kyroll found Lysa moving the last of her bags into the foyer, struggling to move the heavy luggage. “Good Morning, Father,” Lysa wiped her brow, letting the bag thunk onto the deck.
“Good Morning, Little Huntress. Is there anything else?” Kyroll replied, pointing at the bag.
“No, that is everything,” Lysa shook her head.
“Okay, just leave it there. Nelly wants you,” Kyroll said, pointing out the grand window toward the house. “Martinez will handle the bags.”
Martinez did not comment on Kyroll volentelling him to do something. It was just a few bags, and he would have moved the luggage anyway.
“Very well,” Lysa replied before walking over to Martinez and kissing his cheek. “Thank you, ruh’ah.”
Martinez smiled as warmth spread throughout his chest. Thank God Lysa seemed to be feeling somewhat better today. She was a little bit lethargic this morning, but after some breakfast and a shower, she was back to her usual self.
“No problem,” Martinez replied, watching Lysa sashay toward the door, her tight black pants outlining her flawlessly pear-shaped ass, letting him see it sway and pop with each step.
A sudden heavy hand dropped onto Martinez’s shoulder, pulling him out of the short trance he had fallen into. Turning to look at Kyroll, Martinez awkwardly smirked, seeing Kyroll’s two remaining eyes glaring at him.
“Sorry about that,” Martinez chuckled.
“I might be alright with you—but brother, I'm still her father. Could you not do that in front of me?” Kyroll sighed. “I still find you two kissing awkward enough.”
That Kyroll was embarrassed by their little forms of PDA was funny to Martinez. It was not like they did anything beyond what Nelya and Kyroll did. For god's sake, Martinez and Lysa and been subjected to them mordaining, with Kyroll groping Nelya’s ass just this morning. Maybe it was just about Kyroll being Lysa’s father, but Martinez doubted it.
Kyroll had been racist against anyone non-Aviex for decades; Those sorts of behaviors and habits are not unlearned overnight. The older man likely still held some lingering resentment toward Martinez because he was a Human, but at least Kyroll was clearly trying to make things work.
“Yeah, I just was—-,” Martinez said before Kyroll cut him off. It wasn’t malicious by any means; it was just that Kyroll found the conversation he wanted to have to be more important.
“Follow me; I got something to give you,” Kyroll said, turning about and walking toward the bedroom Martinez and Lysa had been staying in.
“What about the bags?” Martinez asked.
“Get them later,” Kyroll replied, not turning back to ensure Martinez was following.
Once inside the room, Kyroll wandered toward the headboard and ran his hand between the mattress and the wooden headboard itself. After a few moments of muttering in annoyance, he smirked. “There that bastard is,” he praised, just before a loud thunk sounded out from underneath the bed.
Leaning over with a painful groan, Kyroll pulled out what looked like a military weapons case from underneath the bed. It was about as long as the bed itself and must have weighed a ton, based on how it took Kyroll a moment to heft it onto the bed.
“What is that?” Martinez questioned, stepping beside Kyroll.
“How about I don't ruin the surprise and just show you?” Kyroll replied, inputting a combination into a built-in control screen on the case.
After a pneumatic hiss announced that the seal on this long-forgotten weapons case had been released, Kyroll tossed it open and inspected its contents. At the same time, Martinez went slack-jawed.
Inside the case were not just weapons that would cause the most war-hungry Marine he knew get a ragging hardon, but ammunition and low-profile armor to accompany them. Additionally, amidst the contents were some devices Martinez had not seen since his time in the Marines. Frag grenades, explosive charges, flashbangs, and what he could have sworn were stacks of Vreck antipersonnel drone mines.
“Why do you have all this? And why in all the universe did you think letting me and your daughter sleep on a bed of explosives was a good thing?” Martinez gawked, reaching in and checking a C-7 rifle chamber—it was loaded
The C-7 rifle and the UB-21 blaster in the box were standard-issue weapons in the GU and Human militaries. The C-7 was more common in Human hands, while the GU regulars generally preferred the lighter, handier, but slightly less lethal UB-21. That did not mean the 21 would not put you in the dirt; it was just different.
The weapon diversity in the active forces was an issue of how new Humans were to the GU and intergalactic warfare. Go figure: Generals who first joined the Human military before the GU helped humanity rise to the stars still had skepticism about the energy-based weapon. As such, the C-7 was preferred. It used caseless ammo and was close enough to traditional slug throwers that Humanity trusted the automatic weapon.
“It pays to be prepared,” Kyroll chuckled, pulling out a small grey bracelet and a pistol. “Some old habits die hard.”
“What about letting us sleep on them?” Martinez asked again, not letting Kyroll get out of answering the question.
“They can’t go off without set up; you know that,” Kyroll shrugged, tapping the pistol onto one of the bricks of plastique just to emphasize.
“Why leave these out here then? Would you not want them in the main house? You can’t use your kit if it’s out here,” Martines said, setting the C-7 back down.
“I have other cac up all around the property, this one was just set up here,” Kyroll commented.
Martinez did not miss the gravity of that explanation; their property was as sprawling as a city and would take him an entire day to traverse. If Kyroll had caches as set up as this dotted around his property, Martinez could see the man being able to outfit a small army.
Kyroll turned around and flipped the handgun around to offer Martinez the grip. “You familiar with the JKL and NanoFlax armor?”
“I’m not,” Martinez admitted, taking the pistol and being sure to follow the four weapon safety rules by pointing it away from Kyroll and keeping his finger straight and off the trigger.
Kyroll took a few minutes to teach Martinez how to use the JKL without shooting himself or inducing a malfunction. The pistol was a ten-millimeter caseless pistol with an integral suppressor. Its operations were similar to any other autoloading slug thrower pistol that Martinez was used to using. So, that period of instruction only took a few minutes.
A piece this slick almost felt wrong in Martinez’s hands. He had never seen the JKL in person but had heard that special forces and mercenaries across the galaxy coveted the weapon for its reliability and concealability.
This pistol model had cult status in the Human Marines, rivaling the now-ancient Kalashnikov pattern rifle. Despite not being produced on Earth for hundreds of years, that rifle still managed to worm its way across the stars and end up in the hands of both Humanities and the GU’s enemies and allies alike.
Following that, Kyroll showed Martinez how to use a piece of technology that he thought he would never be able to use—NanoFlex armor.
Considering this armor was usually reserved for Humanities, L.O.S.T troopers, special advisors, and deep recon, it was surprisingly simple to use. There were only two buttons on the wristband, one to activate it and one to deactivate it.
Martinez pressed the activation button, and the small wristband essentially disintegrated and crawled up his arm in a wave of dry, grey particles. Once up his arm, the wave spread out and covered his entire chest underneath his shirt and jacket, forming a thin layer of light nanocomposite. It stopped just below his jaw and at his waistline while covering his arms like a T-shirt, offering him coverage far beyond the rigid polycarbonate plates most Human troops wore.
“That’s so fucking cool,” Martinez exclaimed, peaking down his collar at the small black hexagons coating his skin. “What is it able to protect against”?
“Most threats, bullets, blasters, knives, claws, you name it. But it has limited power, so try not to get hit too much,” Kyroll said, silently chambering a round in the pistol. “You know, use hardcover and whatnot.”
“What do you mean limited?” Martinez said, looking up just in time to see the JKL recoil and launch a slug into his stomach.
Freaking out, Martinez jumped back and clutched at his gut, expecting that he would have to hold in his blood by shoving his finger in the hole and running away from Kyroll. But there was no blood, or hole; instead, he found the armor had essentially engulfed the bullet and nestled it inside the material, keeping him safe from all harm.
Before Martinez even had a chance to react to the news that he was fine, Kyroll buckled over, laughing at him. “You should see the look on your face!”
“That’s not fucking funny, man,” Martinez barked, “you could have killed me!”
His argument only made Kyroll laugh harder, causing the older man to lean against the bed for support. “It would not have.”
“How the fuck do you know that?” Martinez stood upright, almost ready to shove Kyroll because of his nonchalant attitude to shooting him.
Waving his hand at Martinez Kyroll, indicating he needed a moment before he could keep speaking.
While Kyroll composed himself, Martinez was livid. This motherfucker just shot him. Plenty of races have odd and downright dangerous training methods around the galaxy, with some including just this. But Humans were not one of them.
Humanity had long abandoned practices like that save for some zealots who settled outside the GU.
Kyroll took an entire minute to steady himself. Once he did, the old man explained that he shot Martinez to demonstrate the effectiveness of the incredibly light armor.
When Martinez asked about them having set it up on something and then shooting it as an alternative, Kyroll looked embarrassed but then shrugged and dismissed the idea. Insisting seeing that your armor worked was always better than just blind trust.
Kyroll then explained how his drill instructors did just this for demonstration for him and his fellow recruits. But unlike what he had just done for Martinez, they shot one another with progressively larger weapons—to the point it was knocking the victim flat on their ass.
Martinez was glad his training did not include anything like that. It was stupid, dangerous, and unnecessary, but it did explain a bit more about Kyroll's attitude toward violence.
“You're still a fucking asshole,” Martinez grumbled, turning off the armor, so Kyroll would not shoot him again.
Much like when it was activated, the armor slinked back down Martinez’s body and wrapped tightly around his wrist, leaving him with an odd cold feeling around his chest without it. After the armor dissolved, Martinez felt an odd rubbing around his belt; He moved his shirt to look, and the smashed slug fell to the ground.
“That’s kinda neat,” Martinez said, picking up the bullet.
“Yeah, it will hold the round and any spall in place until you shut it off,” Kyroll explained, “as for knives, it will harden and repair and cuts.”
“Why the fuck don’t they give everyone these?” Martinez looked down at the bracelet.
“It costs too much for the average troop,” Kyroll shrugged, closing the pistol into a small case. “Anyway, I'm giving you these,” he said, handing Martinez the sealed box.
“Why are you doing that?” Martinez raised a brow.
Kyroll's face took on a sudden, serious look, leaving no room for misinterpretation of his feelings about the topic. “Simple, you are keeping Lysa safe from now on–not me.” he grumbled while looking away from Martinez. “Now you will have the tools for anything that might happen.”
Martinez was about to speak and question why Kyroll thinks he needs weapons to ensure Lysa stays safe, until he recalled what Nelya, Kyroll, and himself knew about the broader galaxy that Lysa was ignorant of—namely, the dark history of the Aviex and why so many other aliens would wish her harm.
With that in mind, even Martinez had to admit that keeping a weapon on hand, or at least in his backpack, could be helpful.
“I will keep her safe, but am I able to have this—legally, I mean?” Martinez questioned.
Kyroll wrapped an arm around Martinez’s shoulder and jostled him. “I’m glad you will, and don’t worry with your experience in the military, you can own it. Just ask the police at Draun or check on the data net; both will tell you the same.”
“If you say so,” Martinez replied, holding the case close. “Thanks.”
“Now I can blame you when something goes wrong,” Kyroll chuckled, letting Martinez go and heading toward the door, “ Come on, let's get the last of the bags.”
so how was this chapter? next up is the penultimate chapter for book two where we get to have a hint at what Shiksie has done. we are going to end book two on a bit of a low point, but trust me. I want it that way to set up the attempted reconciliation in book three.
In other news if you have not checked out my new story "Escape from Heavalun" give it a shot, it is what I will be posting while I write book three for this one.
for now please do not forget to updoot, or comment. I will see you all there

2024.05.23 11:36 THAT-REVENANT 99 things I want in Helldivers 2.

Akshualy there aren’t 99 but it’s what I originally set out for. I’ve tried to group things up. I will add to this over time or if anyone replies with awesome ideas I want to highlight. None of it is in any particular order. And yes, I know some people have asked for a few bits featured here, I've been a long time getting around to posting this. I was rewarded the opportunity to count votes with my democracy officer!

SOUND

  1. More voice packs!
  2. A Casper Van Dien voice pack.
  3. A best girl Dina Meyers voice pack.
  4. A Denise Richards voice pack.
  5. A Patrick Muldoon voice pack.
  6. A Michael Ironside voice pack.
  7. A Nathan Fillion voice pack because Buck was a cool drop trooper.
  8. More ambient synth led music for Automaton missions. Just like the robot assassin from the future films that should be banned. As if robots could be so capable and sneaky!
  9. More options for team mate praise.
  10. More ambient chat from the team mates.

MAPS

  1. Bug Rain weather condition, where divers would be encouraged to use flamethrowers to eradicate small tennis ball sized bugs that fall from the sky and eat whatever is near.
  2. Urban, or rather urban ruin maps.
  3. Long distance escort missions where you escort a vehicle or a non sentient drone rather than people.
  4. Human fort maps where the bases are ruined/abandoned with lots of dead Helldivers about. We could have an intel recovery objective on these. Also, there could be unique human weapon emplacements and an excessive amount of SEAF arty posts to use.
  5. Mud. We have snow and sand so it would nice to have mud too with some unique physics that are better for tracked vehicles rather than wheeled.
  6. Native fauna.
  7. Unfriendly native fauna. Space dinosaurs.
  8. Flowing rivers with the appropriate physics. Bodies and mission critical gear and weapons could get washed away. Called in stratagems could also flow downstream which could be fun and useful.

WEAPONS

  1. Guns that shoot green stuff, maybe some kind of maser, that do heat + shock damage and can eventually ignite targets.
  2. Microwave beam which upon contact damages, then after a little while ignites and then finally explodes a target. Excessive use damages the Helldiver and greys out some of their health bar until they drop again.
  3. A grenade launcher that shoots gas grenades. Could wipe out bug nests without an explosion but more bugs would escape onto the surface.
  4. A chem thrower that fires green fire and leaves green gas around, sorta like C&C.
  5. A minigun with a backpack call down – specialised ammo, no pickups.
  6. A belt fed rapid fire shotgun with a backpack call down – specialised ammo, no pickups.
  7. A belt fed rapid fire slug gun with a backpack call down – specialised ammo, no pickups.
  8. A Doom style BFG 1 shot weapon.
  9. Recoverable/Swappable side arms.
  10. Recoverable/Swappable grenades.
  11. Recoverable ammo from guns.
  12. Grenades and explosive ammo that chain react when caught in close range grenade blasts like Halo 1.
  13. Sticky Grenades!

VEHICLES

  1. One Shot Power Armour with a built-in mg, flame thrower and jump pack that you start the mission with. Once you die it’s gone for the duration. Only at difficulty 7 and above.
  2. An original style mech with two double flame throwers and gas grenade launchers.
  3. A taller more bipedal, more advanced mech. Limited to level 8 missions and above.
  4. Multiple configurations for the aforementioned mech.
  5. A flamethrower tank that works with a single pilot, like C&C or TibSun.
  6. A mobile artillery platform that needs 4 people to man it. 1 to drive and deploy. 1 to aim. 1 to load shells. 1 to man the turret.
  7. A pilotable helicopter
  8. A pilotable VTOL
  9. Dirt Hell-bikes for getting around fast. Drops in a set of four. One drop only. Looks like someone else had this idea too with that awesome artwork that is floating about.
  10. Pilotable forklifts.
  11. Various pilotable wreckage like cars and tractors and combine harvesters.

STRATAGEMS and Boosters

  1. Orbital radiation weapons that work as area denial over large areas. Imagine the black beams from Brigador but over a large area. See Also: Fallen Dragon by Peter F Hamilton, 2001.
  2. Eagle based mine laying runs.
  3. Explosive Landing Booster. Hellpods could do more damage as they land. 100% lethal to Helldivers caught in the blast. Area of effect kills small things. Medium and bigger would take much more damage and be knocked back.
  4. Laser Torch Booster. Hellpods would do high damage to targets upon landing. Hive Titans would be a one shot from body hits.

ENEMIES

  1. Enemies that can pick you up, throw you, squish you, and many other horrible things.
  2. Automaton Walkers that can pick you up and automate (read: Strogify) you/your corpse.
  3. Stroggified Helldivers that are made from Helldiver corpses that are exceptionally fast and accurate and actively hunt the Helldiver squad more aggressively than the regular patrols. They could pick up discarded Helldiver weapons too.

GENERAL

  1. Observable power creep as the conflict progresses, for all factions.
  2. Level 10 Missions for the power creep.
  3. Mobile evac where you have to drive a vehicle into a vehicle bay on the bottom of a new aircraft.
  4. Full replays like Halo 3’s theatre mode: This would make the game last forever IMO.
  5. A key for turning off the HUD.
  6. A different death screen for when nobody extracts. A clip of the pelican altering course/flying away, the ship guy saying something tragic but memorable to the Eagle pilot. Camera angle then switches to each helldiver’s corpse before loading back to ship. Sad music plays instead.
  7. A mystery 4th Faction. But not humans. I never ever want to fight other humans in this game.
  8. An Observer mode where a 5th person could come into a game to screenshot and video the fight.

2024.05.17 18:32 SplashKitty Which new weaponry/armor would you like to see added to the game?

Every update this game gets I'm hopeful they've added something content wise, instead of just a new expansion pass full of garbage weapons that I'll use once or not at all. I was thinking about how easy it would be (probably, I don't develop games) to add already existing elements of strategems into new ones.
For example:
Orbital Arc Bomb (explodes on impact, chaining lightning to light armored targets in a radius)
Incendiary Mortar (this seems obvious)
Napalm ThroweAutocannon for your Mech (this could be an attachment you find on bot missions in a base, maybe from a dead Hulk or something that takes up a strategem or equipment slot. Would be cool to be able to change weapons on the mech in general, making it useful for both types of missions)
Eagle Gas Strike (same as the orbital but deployed linearly)
As for ship modules, there could be something added to each category, like sentries have increased ammo or damage, maybe Eagle could have an extra set of utilities you can use before they have to go back and re-arm, etc.
For armor, god the armor selection is so bland and boring, there's so many different looks and styles yet they all have the same bonuses. Nobody needs to throw things "30% farther." The new chest plates in the Polar pass look the same as medium armor, but are classified as heavy armor, which isn't appealing cause if I'm playing a tank build I want to look and feel like a big boy. There could be light armor that increases your movement speed (servo assisted legs) as opposed to just having better stamina. Heavy plate armor should negate bullet and melee damage, not just explosions, perhaps at the cost of taking extra damage from arc weapons. There could be heavy flame resistant armor that helps you not get burnt to a crisp when fighting Hulks or being literally anywhere on Hellmire.
Helmets not having bonuses is stupid, there could be helmets that help you breathe/see better in hostile weather, like on snow or sand planets. This could allow you to move better through a storm or whatever. Maybe a helmet that has increased radar capabilities that could help you see the map during an ion storm or something, maybe negate the effects of a stratagem jammer.
Any other news ideas you'd like to see implemented? I feel like most high level players would agree, progression stopped a long time ago, I had every strategem by level 30 ish and just got the last ship module at level 70. I know there's been talk of a new species coming and I'm just hopeful there's new weapons implemented alongside them.

Declassified combat footage of May 16 released only after Khan Penrose Vimbroise is elected:
The ships docked as predestined azimuth and ordinances targeted. First came the spires telephone pole sized projectiles which unfolded into a fortress and base. Next game the assassins rush which detonated plague bombs catered to mind flayers severing psionic powers before assassinating guard sentries. The rats were running a blitzkrieg, as Strategic Tranfer Equipment to Alternate Location ,mage sailors of the RUE teleported in vermensk troops who fired rifles that ignored magical items impaling mindflayers with 13 inch bolts. Several mindflayers had theur heads explode from warplock jezzails aka sniper rat artillery mages. It had a story mode about some alien invasion there was an enemy that looked like the Patrol Bot from MS3 but organic/alien instead; a boss fight in a snow level against a brainwashed team mate/colleague/somebody the protagonists knew and the final boss a giant alien creature grabbed/stuck/fusioned to a massive wall; a vehicle/armomech that looked like the proto gunner from MS6 gun pic ups I remember a grenade launcher that were blue pills, heavy machine gun with green pellets, rocket launcher with black rockets and a flame thrower that had short range and it went ridiculously straight up talking about that you couldn't point the gun upwards only side to side. It also had some sort of "Battle mode" against the game AI red vs Blue teams; game modes I remember like team death match, capture the flag, domination etc.

Sabre 15.5/42 HYDR
I recently got a Sabre 15.5/42 HYDR. It came with a snow thrower but I am hoping to switch out a mower deck. I am a beginner with this and I am looking for advice on how to find a compatible deck. I am finding conflicting information about using decks from different models or companies. I have been unable to find an exact match.

2024.05.13 12:37 BoludoVulture [Mobile old button cellphone] [early 2010's] run and gun game had a similarity with Metal Slug

The game was very entertaining from what I remember pixel art a "history" mode and had some kind of "MP" like mode: Red vs Blue teams, the body and the gun of the characters was the same only thing changing was the head. There was a character that wore sunglasses like Tarma; gun pic ups like grenade launcher that looked like pills, rocket launcher rockets where black, flame thrower and machine gun that had green projectiles. The history mode talked about some sort of alien invasion; some thing I remember of that mode are some boss fights, like fighting a brainwashed team mate in a snow level and a giant alien at the end of the "campaign"; gameplay wise there was a mech suit that looked an awful lot like the protogunner from Metal Slug 6 but without the vulkan machine gun and only attacked with the cannon that shooted some fireball kind of projectile, you couldn't point the gun upwards, another thing I remember was the soundtrack was catchy and really good to listen to; and if I'm not mistaken the one I used to play had a 2 in the title

2024.05.12 18:54 foreskinfarter A Compilation of Patch Fails (huge post)

After the Polar Patriots warbond release, I decided it was time look back and review some of the fixes and features Arrowhead has tried to push out. This post is not about the balancing philosophy. It's about Arrowhead's tendency of rushing things out before they've been properly tested or thought-out. Basically I've chronicled all of their previous slip ups to date to paint a picture of how unhealthy it is for the game to be developed this way, as it merely leads to compounding issues and an ever growing list of known issues that only gets bigger with each patch. Let this be a trip down memory lane for my fellow helldivers, and a wake-up call to Arrowhead. I wanna be clear that I love this game and am only writing this up out of passion for the game because I want it to be the best that it can be.

Patch 01.000.100 - March 6th

Eradicate Missions
  • Eradicate missions now require more kills and enemies spawn more often. The time to complete the mission was previously shorter than intended and should now take twice as long to complete.
Notes:
Caused an issue with spawn rates for higher class enemies (heavies, elites) being increased across the board.
Fixes
  • Fixed armor rating values not reducing damage as intended.
Notes:
Was in fact not fixed, and re-addressed in a later patch.
This patch also added the Patriot Exosuit, which it was quickly discovered had a suite of unfortunate bugs associated with it.
  • Rockets fired from the Exosuit launcher may sometimes make contact with the Exosuit’s hitbox and explode, instantly killing the player and destroying the mech. A work around was to not fire rockets while turning or walking forward, as this was believed to exacerbate the issue.
  • The weapons could still be fired while viewing the map, leading to many accidental discharges.
  • The mech was unusually vulnerable to damage, getting one shot by a single rocket from even the lowest tier raider, or a single melee from a Charger.
  • Using a stim while inside the Exosuit crashes your game.
    • After being fixed there was still an issue where using stim while holding a grenade inside the Exosuit crashed the game.
  • The Exosuit’s melee ability was barely functional and didn’t work half the time.
  • The Exosuit would sometimes get delivered in a damaged or broken state, or dropped on a rock high up, such that a Helldiver could not enter it.
  • Enemies would frequently ignore the Exosuit if there was another helldiver nearby.

Patch 1.000.102 - March 12th

This patch introduced a particularly nasty crash associated with having cross-play enabled. I can speak from personal experience that me and my friends were borderline unable to play the game in this period because it was guaranteed all of us would crash at least once, and if the host crashed there was even a bug where they could not rejoin. Thankfully, ensuring all players have cross-play disabled seemed to mostly resolve the crashing.
It also introduced the Termicide Tower missions to the game to tie in with the major order. This mission had an annoying issue that confused a lot of players where if you repeatedly pressed the button to activate a tower, you would cause a near endless series of bug breaches. Many players didn't realize this, and would desperately hurry to re-activate the tower after a shutdown, not understanding that doing so only made the situation worse.
2 days later we also received the Cutting Edge warbond, which had the following issues:
  • LAS-16 Sickle
Really good gun on release, only issue is not being able to shoot through foliage.
  • Punisher Plasma
This gun was pretty mediocre on release. It wasn’t plagued by any bugs or major issues, it just needed some buffs to really be worth bringing. The low projectile velocity combined with the small AoE on impact and the inaccuracy made it hard to utilize at medium-long engagements. At the same time, the fact that it did splash damage made it bad in CQC situations as well, leading to an overall very meh weapon.
  • LAS-7 Dagger
Not necessarily weak, but it was competing with the Redeemer which was just top notch at the time.
  • ARC-12 Blitzer
Fire rate was too slow, but a very interesting weapon none the less. Trading fire rate and range for infinite ammo is an interesting mechanic.
Overall this warbond was pretty solid on release, and now after some buffs it is undoubtedly one of the best ones in the game.

Patch 1.000.103 - March 20th

Fixes
  • Shots from arc-based weapons, such as 'Blitzer' shotgun and 'AC-3 Arc Thrower' stratagem now count towards "Shots fired" and "Shots hit" stats.
Notes:
Fixed, but introduced a new issue that caused freezes whenever an arc based weapon was fired. This was addressed a week later in a new patch. In the meantime, players could not use arc based weapons.
This patch also introduced the Shriekers, which had the infamous 1-shot ragdoll issue where a dead shrieker hitting you would instantly kill you. They also had an issue where they could call bug breaches. It is unclear if this was intentional or not but it was immediately removed in the following patch.

Patch 01.000.200 - April 2nd

Fixes
  • Heavy and medium armor protects you better and you now take about 10% less damage than before while wearing heavy and about 5% less when wearing medium armor. Fortified commando and light armor is unchanged.
Notes:
This really helped make heavy armor actually feel like heavy armor, but there was still the problem of enemy crits (headshots) making even the beefiest armor feel like cardboard.
Fixes
  • Fixed cases where the ground under some assets could be bombed causing them to float.
Notes:
This still happens.
This patch also infamously introduced the crash on extract bug where every player in the mission would crash after extracting.

Patch 01.000.202 - April 9th

This was the patch that finally acknowledged a series of long-standing issues:
  • Damage-over-time effects may only apply when dealt by the host.
  • Certain weapons like the Sickle cannot shoot through foliage.
  • Scopes on some weapons such as the Anti-Materiel Rifle are slightly misaligned.
  • Arc weapons sometimes behave inconsistently and sometimes misfire.
  • Spear’s targeting is inconsistent, making it hard to lock-on to larger enemies.
It also introduced the Evacuate High-Value Assets mission type, which had a strange issue where red tinted dev boxes were visible on the map, seemingly indicating an out of bounds area. There's also an issue where Factory Striders can peek over the Extraction site and destroy the Generators without ever making it inside the launch area.
We also got the 4th tier ship upgrades, of which 2 did nothing, 1 was partially bugged, rendering half of the new content broken.
  • Superior packing methodology just flat out did not work.
  • Blast Absorption - which was supposed to give sentries explosion resistance - made no difference to the sentries ability to tank explosions. It is debatable whether or not the upgrade “worked” in a technical sense (50% of 0 is still 0), but in practice it provided no benefit to the user, making it effectively worthless.
  • XXL Weapons Bay correctly added 1 additional missile to most of Eagle-1’s arsenal, but mistakenly added 1 additional airstrike missile to the Cluster bomb. Furthermore, the upgrade itself is just kinda weak, as adding a single extra missile to an already massive barrage.
Never mind that these were expensive upgrades and players could only afford one at launch, so imagine spending your hard earned samples on one of the 3 broken ones.
2 days later we also received the Democractic Detonation warbond, which was amazing on release, and only had the following issues:
  • Adjudicator
This weapon was just really meh on release. Insane recoil and ammo problems made it undesirable. It had decent damage and AP 3 so it was like a harder hitting, harder to control Lib Pen. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite there at launch and needed some buffs to get to a decent state. Furthermore, it was just insanely overshadowed by the other weapons in the warbond.
  • Thermite
A really interesting concept for a grenade, unfortunately the DoT bug made it pretty much unusable. However, even with the DoT bug fixed, this grenade still suffers from some issues. For one, actually sticking it to things can be really inconsistent, and that’s a problem because that’s the whole basis for the grenade. The damage also feels inconsistent still somehow, from my own testing I haven’t been able to get a solid idea of how many thermites I need to take down a chargebile titan/tank/hulk, it always seems to vary by quite a lot. I think the execution of this grenade needs some more work still, fans have rightfully pointed out that it would be cool if the thermite weakened the armor value of the spot that it’s stuck to, basically letting players “soften up” a heavily armored part so it can be damaged with a lower pen weapon. This would at least make it so you’re not just running around waiting for the burn to finish and can choose to shoot back to stack damage with the thermite.
  • CE-27 Ground Breaker
Had the wrong passive on release. Player’s rightfully pointed out that it would have been cool to see some new armor passives, for example fire resistance armor, which would have lined up well with the previous warbond having arc resistance armor.
Unfortunately, after a series of nerfs, this warbond is in an abysmal state, and probably one of the worst you can pick up.

Patch 01.000.300 - April 29th

Balancing
  • LAS-99 Quasar Cannon
    • Increased recharge time by 5 seconds
Notes:
The recharge time was indeed increased, but the UI indicator now no longer matched the new timing of 15 seconds, and would show the weapon as ready to fire still after 10 seconds, leading to some confusion.
Balancing
  • Machinegun Sentry
    • Increased health to match other Sentries
Notes:
Probably worked as intended? The problem with this change is that the Machinegun sentry is literally just an inferior version of the gatling gun, with no redeemable qualities. That just makes you wonder why they would even bother with this buff.
Enemies
  • Hulk Scorcher direct flamethrower damage reduced by 20%
Notes:
This is a strange one. A few patches back when they decided to increase fire damage across the board by 50%, they unintentionally made certain things unreasonably lethal, like the fire tornadoes on Helmire, or the flamethrower from the Hulk. The problem with this change is that it seems to ignore a deeper issue with the Hulk (and “spewing” weapons in general) that causes the 1 frame instakill. Nerfing the damage by 20% does not fix the underlying issue where you get randomly 1 shot from a single stray collision with the fire, which is what players were ACTUALLY asking for to get fixed. I verified that this is still happening the day the patch dropped, and it has yet to be addressed by Arrowhead.
Enemy Patrols
We unintendedly had non-linear scaling of the patrol spawns so they didn't spawn as often as they should have when less than 4 players. The intention is that 1 player has 1/4th of the patrols compared to 4 players, but it used to be that they had 1/6th.
  • Balancing adjustment to patrol spawning.
  • Patrol spawning has been increased when there are fewer than 4 players. The fewer the players the bigger the change. For 4 player missions there will be no change compared to before. The biggest noticeable change will be for solo players at higher difficulties.
Notes:
This change actually fucked patrol spawns even more, instead making it so the patrol spawn modifier is always at 100%, regardless of how many players are in the game.
Gameplay
  • Shots that ricochet from heavy armored enemies will now properly hit the Helldiver who fired them. Trigger discipline is highly recommended.
Notes:
This infamously caused shrapnel from the Eruptor to sometimes ricochet 50m and annihilate helldivers in 1 shot. It was a very rare thing, but it led to some outcry from the community, and assurance from the dev team that it would be fixed in an upcoming patch.
Fixes
  • Fixed an exploit that allowed overly eager Helldivers to use grenades excessively.
Notes:
Not fixed. Before it was possible to have negative grenades, which effectively meant infinite grenades. Now you can instead get an integer overflow giving you 4,294,967,296 grenades. So not technically infinite, but still excessive.
This patch also introduced the bug where the plasma punisher would explode against the inside of the shield generator, making the two unusable together.
Shortly before this patch dropped we also got access to the Airburst launcher. However, Arrowhead unintentionally gave us an old version of the weapon that suffered from a few bugs. For one, the rocket had a weird tendency to burst toward the player, leading to many accidentals. In addition, the proximity trigger on the launcher would trigger off of pretty much any kind of environmental entity, which made the weapon extremely difficult to use without blowing yourself up.

Patch 01.000.302 - May 7th

Balancing
  • R-9 Eruptor
    • Increased explosion damage by 40 and removed shrapnel from the explosion
    • This is to avoid cases in which players would randomly one-shot themselves or their teammates in a huge radius around the explosion
Notes:
As advertised, the Eruptor lost it’s shrapnel to prevent unfair deaths from ricochets. It also received a compensatory buff to make up for losing a part of it’s damage. It was assured that losing shrapnel would not negatively impact the Eruptor, as it played a negligible part in it’s total damage, so gaining 40+ explosive damage would be a net positive for the weapon. This was immediately proven to not be true, as players could tell right away that the weapon had been severely nerfed, having worse breakpoints against pretty much all targets. This whole change was very concerning because it was being sold to us as a "fix", claiming the high damage of the Eruptor was actually an exploit. It sets a worrying precedent where we can't take anything for granted; if a weapon feels strong on release, is it by design or an exploit?
Fixes
  • Fixed issues with some weapon scopes not being aligned in First-Person-View.
Notes:
Not fixed. There still seems to be some issues with alignments on different display configurations, not to mention the HMG is still severely misaligned. It’s gotten better, but it’s not fully resolved.
Fixes
  • The sound when stimming no longer plays while being interrupted
Notes:
Not fixed. It still happens.
Fixes - Firing the Punisher Plasma while wearing a shield backpack no longer damages the Helldiver
Notes: Almost fixed, there seem to still be edge cases where the gun clips the shield.
2 days later we also got the Polar Patriots warbond, which is undoubtedly the worst warbond they have released to date:
  • CW-4 Arctic Ranger
Another light armor with Scout. Along with just being a recolor of the existing Scout armor, it is a recolor that cannot be mixed with any other item in the game. We have nothing that fits an orange/blue color scheme, which makes it really stand out in a sore thumb kind of way.
  • CW-22 Kodiak
Another heavy armor with Fortified. You know what would have been cool? A new passive to tie in with the snow theme. For the love of god, the armor even comes with cleats on the boots, which is literally designed to prevent slipping on ice - and you still slip on ice while wearing this armor. Ngl this apple kinda taste like bacon. There is also a general issue for all of these armor pieces that the prefix does not line up with the armor’s passive, adding to the already long list of armor’s with incorrect prefixes.
  • ** CW-36 Winter Warrior**
    Same thing as above.
  • AR-61 Tenderiser
This weapon is just a worse version of the Liberator, but once you look closer, you start to realize why that is. To start, the armory describes it as being a high-caliber assault rifle with a restrictive magazine but more stopping power. Well, at 60 damage per shot and AP 2, that puts at the exact same damage and AP as the Liberator, which has more ammo per magazine. It does feature slightly less recoil and more spare mags, but when you pick up ammo, you surprisingly get fewer mags back than the Liberator. However all of these oddities start to make sense when you realize this weapon was designed on an older patch of the game, from before they increased the Liberators damage, increased the amount of ammo most guns recover, and lowered carriable magazines across the board. There is more evidence that this is the case, which I’ll get into as we go along. Oh and the weapon also shipped with the wrong color scheme.
  • SMG-72 Pummeller
The only decent weapon in this warbond, and it’s just a re-skin of the Defender. The stun effect is cool, and regardless of effort, it is nice to have another 1-handed primary.
  • Plas-101 Purifier
Wow, something went wrong here. This weapon is clearly suffering from some kind of bug because it is a worse version of every single other explosive weapon in the game. Worse than the Eruptor, worse than the Crossbow, worse than the Scorcher even. There’s a theory going around that part of it’s damage isn’t working because the gun reportedly doesn’t track shots fired correctly. So it is possible the direct damage isn’t working correctly, and instead we only get the splash damage. Furthermore, in the trailer for the warbond, they showed this weapon 1-shotting a strider to the face, which got a lot of players excited because the striders had just gotten a buff to their explosive resistance which meant most weapons now needed 2 shots to kill them. And then the warbond released, and the Purifier needed 2 shots just like every other weapon. This only further supports the theory that this warbond was designed on an older patch, from before they gave striders explosive resistance.
  • P-113 Verdict
My verdict for this weapon? It’s outclassed by the Senator. Again, if this had been the old patch where the Senator still had to reload each round manually, then the Verdict would make a little more sense. You trade a bit of firepower and AP for a larger magazine that can be reloaded at once. However now that the Senator has a speed reloader, the Verdict just doesn’t make sense.
  • Booster: Motivational Shocks
I haven’t fully tested this booster yet, but from reading other’s experience, it seems like it reduces the duration of slows caused by attacks. That’s a bit disappointing to me as I was hoping this booster would act more as a “cleanse" that triggers when you get slowed and removes it. I guess that would’ve taken more work to implement but it would’ve made for a stronger and more interesting booster in my opinion. And we desperately need some more boosters because right now all I’m seeing is the same 4 every mission. Funny how quick they are to nerf popular weapons but for everything else, they seem to turn a blind eye (disclaimer: I am not asking for nerfs to the popular boosters, I am asking for buff/reworks of the bad ones).
In conclusion, this warbond is the worst one we’ve gotten thus far. It has 2 redeemable qualities, the SMG-72 and the impact incendiary, everything else is not worth it. Not to mention this is the 4th time we get a warbond that has a ton of new animations and they are all victory poses. Why Arrowhead? Why can’t these also be used as emotes? We literally have not received a single new emote since release, it is absurd.

Long standing issues that still haven't been fixed

To close off this compilation, here’s a list of issues that have been in the game since release that still haven’t been fixed, most of which have not been acknowledged by Arrowhead:
  • Spear still cannot lock-on to things reliably.
  • Arc based weapons still sometimes fail to target things, especially if there are corpses between you and a valid target.
  • Scopes are misaligned on some weapons like the AMR.
  • Hulk flamethrower sometimes 1 shots players.
    • This can also happen with bile spewers and bile titans.
  • The bile titan often freezes upon dying, instead of ragdolling into the ground.
  • Enemies ragdolling can sometimes result in glitchy behavior sending them flying. This is problematic as making contact with them in this state can be lethal.
  • Bots can infamously sometimes shoot through terrain and obstacles. This seems to most commonly happen with Devastators due to their ability to track players behind cover.
  • Having a massive dropship crash out of the sky and land on top of the bots seems to rarely do anything besides occasionally trapping them inside the wreckage until it despawns (which they often can shoot through anyway).
  • The stratagem beam still inconsistently tracks sticked targets.
  • The engineering perk that gives 30% less recoil when crouched also applies when standing or prone (don’t change this, just update the description).
  • Thermites very inconsistently stick to things despite that being the whole premise of the item.
  • Exosuits rockets are still awfully aligned with the crosshair
  • 500kg bomb feels inconsistent or the visual explosion feels misaligned with the hurtbox
  • devastators, spewers, and bile titans can fire their ranged attack at unreasonable angles, completely betraying the animation.
  • The terrain around a detector tower is still hard to call down stratagems on.
  • The last input for a Stratagem call-in or chat message is sometimes (or always?) misread as a standard input. This most infamously leads to controller users unintentionally using a charge of their supply backpack when an input sequence ends with “down”.
  • Sometimes for an unknown reason, a player can become unreinforceable. This has happened twice to me personally since release, and the only fix seems to be leaving and rejoining the mission.
  • The limb health bonus from the fortified perk gets overridden by the Vitality booster
  • It's often hard to stand up from prone when you are surrounded, or if you are slowed.
  • Sometimes Pelican-1 leaves immediately when only 1 player enters without starting a timer (I have verified from testing that this coincides with the pelican being on fire, HOWEVER it doesn't happen consistently when the pelican is on fire. This is why I consider it a bug rather than a feature.)
  • If a bile titan dies on top of Pelican-1, there is a chance that it can cause the door hitbox to break, preventing players from entering the Pelican-1 (you can walk around inside the pelican, but your character doesn't sit down).
  • When a weapon is changed, it's armory description doesn't update. Examples include the Eruptor still mentioning shrapnel, or the Liberator Concussive mentioning it has less damage than the standard Liberator, even though that's now no longer the case.
  • Sometimes your camera flies off from your character, leading to confusion about your whereabouts.

2024.05.11 17:23 _CloudyStar_ Democratic balancing suggestions

First of all, i only want this post to be a nice creative space where players talk about things they wish were in the game, i don't support the people who A. Say everything should be broken because it's PVE or B. People who rage and throw hate saying the game is dead and will forever be bad.
The game is great in many aspects of it's core, but it needs certain fixes and adjustments ASAP. I'm no game designer, but i like the game and play it a lot. Many decisions don't seem planed or tested at all and i have some takes on what could be done to improve the game and would be interested to read what you guys think.
BALANCING
(Whoever is in charge of this has really bad takes that most of the community disagrees on, this could only go two ways, either someone keeps this person informed with what the people that actually play the game want or someone more capable takes this place. It will be better for the game.)
- Patch notes
They don't feel transparent to put it simply, "Slightly" or just "Increased" or "Decreased" is not specific and feels like it tries to hide numbers or reasoning. I would even say that telling us players the reason behind the change would be ideal. Example:
Arc thrower: Stagger reduced
"We noticed players could easily stun lock Hulks with this weapon and that took away the impact this enemy unit had in combat, this nerf should only affect this situation"
In this example numbers were not necessary but it still got the message across.
- Primary Weapons
* The primary weapons need a overhaul, the certain few that are in good enough shape should remain unchanged (Scorcher, Breaker Incendiary, Punisher plasma, etc) but most could use at least a 20 (or higher) damage buff, either that or penetration changes, i don't think there would be any problems to the game. The ARs need special attetion at this step since they are the weakest type of weapon.
*Weapons like the Slugger and the Eruptor who got screwed over should get fixes too.
- Armor Passives
* They are all the same and should get way more varied and experimental, following the mindset of the CEO the armors should get passives that match the look they have, The Latest warbond, for example, could have the extra bonus of giving 60% resistance to Blizzards and snow terrain slows or even apply slows to enemies while in snow planets (absorbing the cold and using it against the enemy). And that is just a singular example of how creative they could get with this, situational but still usefull.
* Scout passive should be changed or stealth should be REALLY improved for it to be even viable.
* They can't expect people to keep wanting to spend money in warbonds if these are all the same. That is just a fact, people get bored (they still look amazing though).
- Player headshots
* They feel like a unfun instakill mechanic that the player can't really outplay in any way, they should either be removed or reworked. (Maybe when you are aiming your weapon you could get headshot damage resistance?)
- Stims
* Animation could be slightly faster or the heal should go through when the sound plays no matter what, feels like false input or lack of player control when that happens.
- Squad boosters
* The basic ones feel really strong and borderline essencial, i'm not completly sure how they could get around this.
ENEMIES
* Some people claim that since the fix to spawn rates in solo play the spawnrate increases even in a full lobby, making things a little crazy the longer the missions is on for. Someone should look into that.
- Terminids:
* Bile and Nursing spewers should make noise while they walk and have and have a audio cue for when they are about to attack, they curently make no sound and can kill you by standing still hidden nearby a corpse of another spewer.
* Bile spewers are almost as tough as Chargers, attack almost like a Titan and spawn as much as Hive guards, that feels odd.
* Sometimes chargers just get bugged and stand still without doing nothing. This should be fixed.
- Automatons:
* THEY STILL SHOOT THROUGH WALLS AND ROCKS. HELP
* They should get less acurate or shoot less when far away
* Shotting at them does not seem to affect their acuracy
* Flinch could be reduced somehow (maybe a new medium to heavy armor passive?)
* Enemies that shoot more than one rocket should have the fire rate reduced to avoid ragdoll stunlocks
* If shriekers don't attack the Hellbomb, why do the Gunships?
* Meatsaw enemies feel tougher than devastators and spawn a lot, forcing players out of cover when in hords
GENERAL
* Visibility could be slightly improved in night or fog maps, sometimes i can't see anything at all if none of my guns has a flashlight.
* Look into ragdolling in small objects on terrain, im sure most people fell and got stunned by a rock smaller then the undemocratic bugs.
Again, i'm not claiming to be either a game designer or a great hardcore player (far from it), but this is how i feel having 200+ hours in the game. Sorry if i seem a little toxic towards the balancing but i needed to type that. If i misstyped anything, sorry, english is not my main language.
I love this game and hope it improves greatly over many years to come, the team only needs to find the right balance and maintain it.

2024.05.09 13:51 ash-deuzo The plas-purifier can stagger devastators

And thats pretty much it , it takes 4 shot to kill them in the body , since you need to fully charge shots to be able to fire it takes around 5 seconds to kill one , the aoe look big but damage is very low , it can kill several small bots in 1 shot but they really need to be packed , otherwise it wont be enough damage , its takes 2 shot to kill a scout strider unless you can hit the driver the stats on the weapon card are lying , the rate of fire is maybe 60 at best , not 250 , and since it works like the arc thrower where you need to keep the trigger pressed for 1sec before releasing , its very annoying to play with
Outside of its good stagger the weapon has nothing better than the scorcher , only doing 50 damage more per shot but having like 3 or 4 time less rate of fire make the dps of this thing abysmal also on snow planet since the bullet is light blue in color , even lighter than scorcher , it has a tendency to be like " where did my shot go ?" since the shot hitbox is so small it can go between the legs of bots and devastators
Well..... i guess this warbond has a good booster xd

Intro: 18 Legends line up in front of the Legendary Mt. Silver in the Kanto-Johto region, blistering wintery winds stinging their scales, feathers, fur, leaves, etc. In front of them stands the entrance to a cavern, carved with a myriad of spectacular adornments and stone sculptures. A door stands in the cavern. A massive golden door with a maze-like pattern leading to a master ball symbol in the middle. This door leads to the most-majestic house we have built yet. Adelynn shivers, not used to the cold on these heights. Violet shakes off the snow, used to it on her home of Mt. Coronet. Styles eyes Tiny, all too aware of his old ally’s developments in the years between their last time playing together. She eyes him back, aware that he is just as eager to play difficult as she is. Lissia and Krishna sense each other’s caretaker presence and know what to watch out for. Chess and Benedict smile, knowing their previous alliance potentially re-uniting. Whelan looks over at Gage, wondering what he is scheming while scheming up ways to game these gamers. He is watched by King, who is observing everyone’s behaviors. April is keeping careful watch on Mazda, ready to act if he tries any criminal moves. Whimzy stares at the moon above them, looking to it for guidance. Nanuq and Lora are silent, mentally preparing themselves for the titanic games they have to play. In the middle of the pack, Gigi stands stalwart, looking at the door. He reaches out a claw and…
First HOH: The door opens on its on and the houseguests are ushered into the grand central chamber where the set for the First HOH stands waiting for them. A replica of the Season 1 house with a silver statue of Lance the Escavalier in the center. 18 Swords are jutting from the pedestal of the statue and the houseguests each step on them. The swords begin to rotate and this endurance competition has begun. Violet gets dizzy and drops first. She is followed by Styles, Benedict, and then Whimzy. The swords begin to rotate faster, causing Adelynn and Chess to drop. Shortly after them, Lora, Amni, and April fall off. Suddenly, the swords slow down and stop, causing Gage and Nukka to lose their balance and fall. The swords begin to retract into the walls, providing less space for the final 7 to stand on. They begin to move as this happens, causing Lissia, Whelan, and Mazda to fall simultaneously, Krishna runs out of space to stand and falls as well. King, who has lasted surprisingly long, drops shortly after, leaving Gigi and Tiny facing off. They go on for a while longer getting dizzy but eventually, Gigi loses his footing and gives Tiny the victory and the First HOH!
Week 1: The houseguests move into the house, celebrating Tiny and her victory. Styles congratulates her for how far she has come from Season 1. Krishna piles in and hugs her as well, having not seen her since then. More reunions are had between Amni and Nukka, and the Season 10 trio. A quick duo that immediately forms is when Krishna sees Amni like a little sister and they bond. Lora makes a strategy to bond with some of the more dubious players in the house and gets in close with Mazda, Styles, and Whelan. Chess does the same with Gage but Nukka catches on and latches on to the trio, knowing it will help him in the long run. Styles is posturing, feeling safe with his former number one Tiny as the HOH. But she knows his threat and isn’t willing to risk anything. Tiny sees Lora’s gaming and tries countering it by nominating Styles and Whelan, shocking the duck. The veto picks are strong, with Mazda and Nukka competing as well. Mazda and Whelan end up going head-to-head, with Mazda scheming to save Styles. But Whelan, knowing the pressure of the hot seat, prevails and wins, getting to save himself.
Chess goes up to Amni to propose they work together to sneak through the game, picking off bigger names. She agrees but the conversation is overheard by Gage, who, not wanting to be undermined, tells Tiny to watch out for Amni, who might be repeating her Season 1 game. Whelan, arrogant in his victory, starts beef with Violet, who got more famous than him after their initial season. Lissia begins defending Violet and getting heated with Whelan. Styles enters the picture and, trying to pull his old tricks, brings Amni into the conversation. Lissia, not playing mama bear to the girls, calls out Styles for his old tricks. She is aided by Krishna who is very defensive of the small. At the eviction ceremony, Amni and Styles both make pleas to stay in the game. Amni ends up coming off more sincere and Styles is still distrusted. Tiny calls him out for using outdated tactics on the newest season. The vote comes out to 11-4 and Styles is the first Legend evicted.
Week 2: With Styles gone, everyone knows that no Legend is safe, no matter their legendary status. A bronze statue of Carlos the Pancham rises from the floor and the houseguests compete in Carlos’ HOH: a physical comp involving punching a punching bag back and forth through a maze. Violet ends up impressing everyone but Whelan with her strength. While Lora and Krishna keep up with her. Lora falls behind and at the last second, Krishna pulls ahead, taking the HOH. She goes to shake Violet’s hands but realizes she has to be gentle not to crush her. Krishna is pondering the noms with Amni when she brings in Chess. Chess offers that he isn’t working with the rest of the Season 10 members and is willing to lose Benedict in an effort to further his game. Krishna sees this as a chance to get out a very dominant player early and puts up Benedict next to April, who she feels everyone is overlooking. Benedict immediately knows something is up when he is put up but doesn’t cause a scene, knowing that would put the target on his back. The veto starts and he ends up in the top 2 with Lissia. She knows something is up as well since she saw Chess working with Krishna and throws the comp to Benedict. He saves himself with the veto! Krishna sees that the seasons with large numbers are bigger targets and she can trim her target if Tiny leaves, having already established her threat by winning HOH. Amni and Violet connect as the smallest competitors and know that the big names have to go first. They agree to vote Tiny. But Mazda begins pushing to get April out of the house because of the crazy eye she has on him. At the eviction ceremony, the votes comes out 10-4 with Mazda’s push to the villains being successful, and April goes home.
Week 3: A statue of Nickels comes out of the floor and the lights turn off. The houseguests are now hiding from detective Nickels, with the last one found winning HOH. The competition comes down to Mazda, who is used to hiding from detectives, Nukka, who has already analyzed the whole house, and Lora, who is very adept at hide and seek. Mazda gets caught and Nukka is found shortly after, crowning Lora the HOH. Nukka’s performance at the competition puts a target on his back as a perceptive player. Lora consults her alliance with Mazda and Whelan and they both agree. Amni goes into the HOH room and tells her that Gigi is a sleeping threat right now. Lora decides the best course of action is to put up Gigi and Nukka. The veto competition comes up next, playing to Nukka and Lora’s strengths again. They face off again and history repeats with Lora winning. She confirms the nominations stay the same. Gage, who is safe, is flaunting his ego around the house, rubbing the rest of the legends the wrong way for thinking he is better than them. Lissia, who is making an effort to play nicer this time around, goes on to befriend more people, including Amni. Nukka tries to go on damage control, offering to those who will listen that Gigi is intentionally sandbagging. Gigi thinks it is wiser to not campaign too hard, as that will make him look worse. Amni bites on Nukka’s idea and helps him campaign. At the eviction ceremony, the vote comes out to with Nukka’s gaming making him seem like he’s playing too hard, causing him to be evicted.
Double Eviction: An early double eviction starts with a jade statue of Xio rising up from the floor. The contestants have to swing across vines to get through a course first. Adelynn, Chess, and Mazda are the frontrunners. Adelynn slips on a vine and falls behind. Chess, really wanting to make a big move here and capitalize on the chaos, swings one big jump and beats Mazda to become the HOH. His noms are Whelan and Krishna, shocking the elephant, thinking they were working together. Adelynn, Amni, and Gage are picked for veto and Adelynn wins it! She keeps the nominations the same. Whelan pleads for them to keep him as he hasn’t been double crossing or floating around, planning to play a more trustworthy game this time around. Krishna says she is playing honestly and wants to go to the end for her sisters back home. The vote comes out to 11-1 with Lora being the odd vote out. Whelan is evicted.
Week 4: A golden statue of Selene rises from the ground, illuminating the whole room. The houseguests minus Chess are competing in a quiz where if they get a question wrong, a candle goes out. The top three comes down to Lora, Whimzy, and Adelynn. Lora stumbles with multiple questions and Adelynn follows behind. Whimzy wins the HOH! Lora confronts Mazda for not doing enough to sway votes in her favor. He calls her out for playing too hard, saying she needs to cool it down a bit. They continue their dispute, choosing not to work together. Whimzy is joined in the HOH room by Amni and Lissia. Gage is obviously rubbing everyone the wrong way and Amni pleads for him to go up. Whimzy agrees and he goes up next to Krishna, whose story is getting too strong. Lissia and Amni are both drawn for the veto as well and Amni ends up winning. During the next few days, Krishna makes an effort to bond with Amni and touches her heart with her story. Meanwhile, Lora lashes out at King for defending Mazda. He tells her she is getting way too worked up over Mazda. At the veto, Amni saves Krishna and Whimzy, seeing an excellent opportunity here, puts Mazda up. Gigi begins going around the house trying to undo Nukka’s damage last week and people tell him not to worry. At the eviction ceremony, the two greatest villains of the series sit next to each other. Mazda spins tales of his importance to the game and how he is really deserving of staying. Gage apologizes for his behavior, confusing the house. Lora switches her vote last minute to Gage, seeing his threat level with his manipulation. The vote comes back 6-5, the closest yet, with Mazda eliminated. Lora smacks herself in the head for her risk.
Week 5: The houseguests are told that jury starts this week, but the jury house will gain two players by the end of the week, foretelling a double eviction. A statue of Candy rises from the floor with Opal eyes. The contestants vote a player out every round based off of superlatives. Violet, Tiny, and Lissia end up the final three. Tiny and Lissia vote out Violet, with everyone casting their votes between the two. Lissia, whose butt-kissing has paid off, is crowned the HOH. Lissia consults her closest allies with Amni and Whimzy who continue to push for Gage. When Whimzy leaves, Amni pulls in Violet. Violet tells her that they have to go after people who are playing under the radar and Whimzy is doing that while slowly making moves. Lissia agrees and Whimzy goes up next Gage, shocking her. When she gets Houseguest choice for the veto, Lissia selects Violet. This pays off when Violet wins the veto, solidifying her trust in her new allies. She keeps the nominees the same, hoping that Whimzy gets taken out. Whimzy knows she is in hot water so starts branching out. She goes to Gigi, Benedict, and King, who have also avoided suspicion so far, and tells them if she goes, they could be targets next. Gigi and Benedict think about this and decide working with her could be a good idea in the future. She even goes to Violet and Amni and mends the relationship. The two small ones realize that keeping Gage is too much of a risk as well. At the eviction, Whimzy successfully saves herself and Gage is evicted unanimously.
Jury Double: A copper statue of Splaatz rises from the ground, with the houseguests playing an endurance round of Muddy Water. Adelynn holds firm next to Krishna and Tiny, hoping to win something finally. She almost gives up but trips and falls fully into the water, giving her just enough time as Tiny and Krishna leave. Adelynn is the double HOH. Thinking quickly, she puts up the Season 1 legends because they are some of the biggest names in the house so far. At the veto, Lissia and Benedict give Adelynn a run for her money, but she continues to show her worth by winning the veto. The noms stay the same and Krishna and Tiny look at each other sadly, knowing one will go home. At the voting ceremony, they don’t even go after each other out of respect, instead both hoping the one who stays will go on to win. In the end, it’s a close 5-4 vote with Krishna joining Gage in the Jury house.
Week 6: An emerald statue of Dirk rises from the ground. The HOH is a musical competition, with contestants having to match the song to its track. Chess and Amni excel at this because of Amni’s musical background and Chess being very calculated. In the end, Chess wins. Gigi and Benedict go to Whimzy to confirm working with her from last week. They suggest branching out to find new allies. Benedict pulls in Tiny who could be a shield for them and doesn’t have season 1 to rely on anymore. Chess puts up Tiny on the block because of her threat level, and wants to nominate someone else who has been laying low. Amni goes to speak to him as an ally and, trying to save Whimzy, offers up King. King goes up next to Tiny. Chess selects Benedict for houseguest’s choice, trying to extend an olive branch. However, Benedict knows this is a calculated move from his friend and him and Lissia throw the comp. Amni wins it and, satisfied with the noms, keeps them the same. Gigi and Tiny bond, solidifying their alliance. King goes on a rant to Violet, thinking she is part of the reason he is up. Seeing she has no chance of convincing him, she goes to Lissia instead for support. Benedict extends the olive branch to Lissia to counter Chess and she, along with Violet, joins his alliance. At the eviction, Lissia and Amni throw stray votes at Tiny, but the alliance has successfully moved the vote to King, evicting him.
Week 7: A white marble statue of Echo rises from the floor and chilling icy winds enter the house. The houseguests must build snowforts to survive a snowball fight with the last one standing winning. Lora and Adelynn go head-to-head as the key throwers but Lora wins it, gloating over the latter’s frustration. Adelynn goes to complain to Whimzy about Lora and Whimzy agrees that her ego is getting too big. She consults with Benedict and Gigi and they decide to pull together the alliances as well as add in Amni and Adelynn. Lora tries to consult Violet about nominees, but the Weedle is hesitant to work with her or give her names. Lora is infuriated by this and puts her on the block next to Tiny, who keeps surviving. At the veto, Whimzy tries to give a dejected Violet a chance to win, but she is not focused, so Whimzy takes the veto. She and Amni go into defense mode and work throughout the week to convince Lora that Chess is the bigger threat. She seems to bite and this is confirmed when Whimzy saves Tiny and Chess goes up as the nominee. Benedict pretends to work with Chess by bad-mouthing Tiny. Chess thinks he is safe with his buddy and makes a comment about it to Violet. Violet, irritated about the whole week, lashes out at him for his playing the game with too much math and ignoring the thoughts of people. At the eviction, Chess is completely blindsided by a unanimous vote. Lora seems to realize something is up as well as she thought at least one vote would go to Violet.
Week 8: The next HOH comp starts with a sparkling statue of Mobee rising from the ground. A bunch of balloons also rise and each player is assigned a color. Whoever’s color is last left, wins. Gigi and Violet work together to eliminate everyone else leaving just them. Violet uses her agility to get his last balloon, crowning her HOH. She immediately flips the script on Lora by putting her on the block next to Tiny, who she knows has nine lives in this game. Lora panics, knowing she is at the bottom of the house. Amni goes on to win the veto and goes to Violet to ask her about saving Tiny and making sure its okay. Violet appreciates the gesture and the two bond. Tiny is saved and Adelynn, who Violet knows is a threat from her first season but isn’t her target, goes up. Lora, knowing she’s toast, begins to have a breakdown. Adelynn goes to her and comforts her, reminding her this game doesn’t have any standing on her as a person. The bug thanks her for her kindness even though they’re both on the block. Benedict is complaining about Tiny being saved again which Tiny overhears and confronts him on. The conversation turns bitter when she implies that he wouldn’t be saved from the block like she is. At the eviction, Lora accepts it as she is unanimously evicted.
Another one?: SURPRISE! Someone else is leaving tonight! An amethyst-laden statue of the Prof descend from the ceiling, starting a quiz competition sponsored by—no just kidding we aren’t doing the sponsorships anymore. It comes down to a tiebreaker between Gigi and Adelynn and Adelynn accidentally smudges her answer, causing her to write the exact right choice, winning it! Knowing that her big alliance was only meant to counter Chess, she begins to turn on it, putting up Whimzy next to Violet. Tiny goes on to win veto and, knowing that she has been saved, and it was a big mistake for people to underestimate her, she doesn’t use it. Violet makes a case for her being a great ally while Whimzy talks about her leaving being a catalyst of doom? In the end, by a vote of 4-1, Benedict and Gigi water at the mouth to send home a titan, and Whimzy is evicted.
TRIPLE EVICTION!: SUPRIRSE ONE MORE PERSON IS LEAVING!!!! A topaz statue of Lisette rises up and the contestants have to sort through tarot cards to get a full deck. Amni remembers her deck from the season and takes an early lead. But she doubles up on cards by mistakes, causing the game to continue with Tiny winning it! Tiny puts Violet back up but also knows how pivotal Benedict, Lissia, and Gigi are in the house and puts Benedict up because of his comments to her that week. Benedict powers through and wins the veto. Tiny is sad that the chance to get out Benedict has passed but puts up Lissia in his place. At the eviction, Lissia makes a good case for her game that causes Gigi some concern. He votes for her and it causes a tie. Tiny uses this tie to cut out a key member of the house structures by evicting Lissia.
Week 9: The final 6 are brought to a room with a pearlescent statue of Maeva. The HOH is a fast paced bell ringing competition to remake the sounds of her chimes. Violet, knowing she is on the outs, goes hard. But Gigi tries to reclaim his game and does so by winning the HOH. Amni consoles Violet, who knows she is toast. Adelynn gloats to the worm, knowing she is going further this time. Amni defends her, making them a pair. Gigi puts the small gals next to each other on the block. Violet and Gigi know they have to win veto to save themselves. Benedict and Gigi talk during the week about who goes up if one of them goes down. Benedict pushes for Tiny because she has a massive threat and somehow keeps surviving the block, but maybe she can get backdoored. He has to wait until veto though. Amni and Violet are the top 2, but both have a game to win and they respect each other for it. Amni wins and saves herself. Gigi, receptive to Benedict’s influence, puts Tiny on the block. Adelynn proposes an all-girls alliance to Tin and Amni, tired of laying low and wanting to flip the script on Benedict and Gigi. Tiny agrees to save herself. At the eviction, Adelynn and Amni are enough but Benedict also knows he has no shot at getting out Tiny, and Violet goes home unanimously. Amni hugs her on the way out.
Week 10: A statue of Day rises from the floor along with 4 rocky outcrops over a pit of water. Last one standing, wins the final 5 HOH. Amni and Benedict don’t l ast long, reducing the game to Tiny and Adelynn. Adelynn wants to take her game into her hands and Tiny is refusing to drop, irritating her. Eventually, Tiny does drop, making Adelynn the HOH. Adelynn goes to Tiny about the all-girls alliance but the fish doesn’t seem serious about it. Adelynn pivots and decides if they won’t work with her, they are against her. Amni and Tiny end up as her nominees. At the veto, Adelynn and Tiny are so focused on beating the other that they don’t realize how well Benedict is doing, wanting Tiny out so bad. He wins and keeps the noms the same, now going to Gigi about the vote. However, Gigi, who feels used by Benedict and not treated like an ally, decides to try and flip up the vote. At the eviction, Gigi turns on Benedict by voting Amni, causing a tie. Adelynn is all too happy to be the one who finally gets to end Tiny’s game.
Week 11: A statue of DJ descend from the ceiling, which Gigi turns away from in shame. The contestants have one last music match where they have to dance dance revolution! Adelynn is sad she can’t play in this. Gigi, distracted, messes up early. Between Benedict and Amni, Amni knows she is up against the three of them, and Benedict wants a big move on his resume after losing out on the Tiny vote. Turns out, Amni learned dance between Season 12 and now and she smashes the competition, securing herself a spot in the finale! She sees Gigi and Adelynn as the bigger competitors in the finale competitions, so she saves Benedict. Benedict confronts Gigi about his flipped vote the week prior and the dragon tells him how he feels like Benedict is trying to control him, rather than see him as a friend. He says he learned his lesson his season that he should have treated DJ as a friend rather than an ally. Adelynn and Amni watch, Amni tearing up while Adelynn brings popcorn and smirks. Tragically, Benedict rebuffs Gigi for this, saying he needs to finally win and why can’t he see that. Gigi tells him he is playing for himself too, not for Benedict. The fight ends coldly with everyone saddened. Benedict wins veto and doesn’t use it. At the eviction, with the sole vote to evict, Benedict uses it to turn on his number one through the whole game, and evicts Gigi!
The Reunion: Outside of the house, the jurors are all sat on the grand icy stage. On top of the mountain, a rainbow dais stands ready for the final HOH competitions. The blizzard blows more angrily than when the 18 houseguests stood before the house at the beginning of the season. This time, only three remain. Amni, walks up the steps, lagging behind the other two, reflecting on her game. She played a really good social game, slipping under the radar around people who were intentionally slipping under the radar. She managed to avoid detection yet still make moves and get herself to the end. Next to her is Adelynn. She struts confidently, knowing her endgame has been immaculate. She knows she has played more cutthroat than her first time and has even beat her rival, Violet. She smirks right before she trips over the top step. Benedict helps her catch her fall and continues upward. He had to betray parts of himself in order to get this far. He wants more than anything to win this game and has played too well strategically for it all to crumble now. Betraying Chess, Whimzy, Lissia, and Gigi, he looks down and hallucinates blood on his paws, shaking his head to dispel the illusion as he climbs the stairs. They reach the top and the 11 jurors greet them.
The three are led to part 1 of the HOH, an endurance chamber underneath the dais where they can’t hear the jurors talk. The round starts and the three hold on tight to their platforms. Krishna and Gage go first in talking about their games. Gage talks about how this game was not one where old tricks work, and his social game was rusty from the early seasons. Krishna says everyone was much more distrustful around other legends and she wasn’t able to find someone solid. Tiny tells Gage that he needed to adapt like she has done everytime, evolved her game and herself, which he never did. Chess asks how many people were secretly aligned and most of the jury reaches up. Gigi rightfully gives credit to Whimzy for promoting the idea and rolling with it. She thanks him but acknowledges his and Benedict’s role in tearing it apart from the inside out. Lora stares off into the icy horizon, saying she knew it was coming but wasn’t able to see. Suddenly, Chess points below them where Amni has dropped from her perch, leaving Adelynn and Benedict competing for part 1. Lissia comments how sweet Amni is and how she felt like she changed who she was because of her integrity. Violet says she always had a partner in her, no matter the circumstances. King pipes up saying he thought he had that in Benedict but was left out of a big alliance in the end. Violet speaks again about Adelynn this time, noting she has much more confidence this time around and slipped past everyone’s detection. Whimzy says she played the game they all wanted to play but a little bit better. Suddenly, Benedict drops and Adelynn is the winner of part 1.
Final HOH part 2: Adelynn cheers as Benedict and Amni are taken to the center of the house again where the darkness obscures an empty pedestal. They have to race to complete a days competition to build up the statue to be of them before the other. Both pay a ton of attention and have been preparing for this, both having been runner-ups before. Though Benedict takes an early lead, Amni catches up quickly. They trade pieces back and forth but eventually someone comes out victorious. Adelynn and the juror watch from the top of the mountain as the winner of part 2 walks up the steps. Benedict.
Final HOH part 3: Adelynn and Benedict face off in a quick fire jury quiz round with the sound of howling winds behind them. Adelynn answers with arrogance as she gets answers correct. Benedict is stone-cold, with a determination to win that has transcended his emotions. At the final question, with them tied up, both give different answers. Benedict’s answer is…incorrect. Adelynn is the final HOH. Amni comes back up and she gloats over the two of them about her victory and taking control of her game. But she puts it bluntly and says she has a much worse chance competing against a social butterfly than a traitor, and evicts Amni.
The Jury Questioning: Amni joins the jury, leaving Adelynn and Benedict to face them. Adelynn is eager to begin and confidently owns her game. She knew from the beginning the big names would go out early and the small names would target the big names so they could slip by. But she felt like she was firmly in the middle and could easily play dumb and avoid detection and she did just that, outplaying all of the sheep to be the top lion. She is asked by Violet who her closest ally was in the game and Adelynn bruntly replies that she only had herself, as being too close to someone else cost her the game last time. Benedict gets his turn to speak and with glazed over eyes, starts up. He says he wants to win this game more than anything else and had to play much tougher to do so with such a great cast. He says at each turn in the game, he flipped on an ally who stood in his way and learned that to win, he also had to rely on himself. He owns that his game differs because he was strategic from the beginning. He formed a backbone for him to work from and took out the pieces who most got in his way. He knows he has blood on his paws but if he wins, it’ll all be worth it.
Jury Voting: Gage comments that you either lose the hero, or see yourself live long enough to become the villain, and that’s pretty cool. Krishna says she knew a legend season would be tough, but has no qualms voting for the legendary winner. King smirks when he votes and smugly comments how Mazda needs to open up two new spots for his next villain cast. When Chess votes, he says he calculated everything but betrayal in his game, but it was intriguing in how well it worked…just not for him. Lora says she has to vote for someone who will own their win. Whimzy says she knows she was outplayed and is ready to commend it. Lissia comments that her character development was cut short, but both finalists developed their characters in an…unappealing way. Violet says she isn’t happy in this vote, but at least one person here played better and deserves the win. Tiny says she know her vote won’t change the outcome, but maybe an imperfect record will teach someone a lesson. Gigi says he may not have won but he became a better person, hope the win was worth losing a friend. Amni says she has lived on this world for a very long time and watched this series ton, and is honored she got to play with such legends. The votes are tallied and the winner is…
Winner: Benedict
Runner-Up: Adelynn
As Benedict is crowned the winner, he wants to cheer, but he realizes that this moment isn’t as satisfying as he though it would be. Adelynn gets up disappointed but pats him on the back. He doesn’t notice but instead stares down at his hands, the falling snow turning red in his illusions. With the jury cheering around him, he feels alone in this moment. Adelynn finally shoulder checks him and snaps him out of it. “You won” she says “At least pretend to be happy.” He stares at her a moment before forcing a smile. They full cast cheers the night away as the night falls over Mt. Silver, ending this Legendary Season as the blizzard peters out.
Fan Favorite: King
My Favorites: Amni, Tiny, Krishna, Chess, Whimzy, Lissia, Violet, Mazda. So many honestly this cast was fantastic.
My Thoughts: This season was absolutely as Legendary as the name implied. These were gamers ready to play and they all came in knowing how they would play and how they would react to the world around them. The strategy revolving around big targets but then small targets but then just being a free for all was fantastic and no alliances were truly solid, even the final 3 were not solid with each other. The storylines were also Legendary. Lemme name a few. Tiny, wow, Tiny. She is my favorite player of the whole series since season 1 and her coming back to play another season and do really well again was just phenomenal. She was the block warmer yet she never really felt in danger of going home because she knew how to survive the block. She lived up to her legend status. Amni and Violet both were the small fish but created paths for them to the end! Whimzy was a strategic genius who masterminded a plan to the end. If she wasn’t betrayed, she easily could have won. Gigi made a big come back, learning his lessons from last season and going far because of it. Same appies to Lissia who had much stronger footing this time around. Chess and Lora both started strong but ended up lost in the rush. Adelynn was so strong this time around, really controlling the narrative in the end game and ensuring she was not caught in the crossfire. I’m impressed by her comeback. And Benedict. He was robbed on his first season and we all knew it. But he came back with a fire that really tore through this game. He knew he wanted to win and did whatever it took to do so. He betrayed so many allies and played very cutthroat, staying on top of the game and dominating how we knew he would without having to win a single HOH but…at what cost. The statue of him stands built in the house, representing the 16th and final main winner of the series.
Thank you guys again for the amazing characters and amazing season. But one last season remains…

2024.05.06 04:18 Erkenwald217 Cathay Roster addition speculations

So we are expecting the Monkey King and Li Dao the Fire Dragon soon-ish.
I feel, like they need to bring too many units to fit into 1 DLC (and imagine the riot, if 2 paid Cathay DLC factions come out at once!)
I just want to talk about units, not faction mechanics for now.
Let's speculate for each faction:
The Monkey King:
Li Dao the Fire Dragon:
Either of the 2 (or left for Yin-Yin?):
Ideas partially from: https://youtu.be/6pBCVHy17N0?si=uuwD9wVLWYuQ_aCQ from Mods ("Dead Baron" or "Singemeister") and my own ideas
No, I don't want to see Chinese style Dragons as generic SEM. They are Legendary Lords, leading nations (or factions in this case) and nothing less!
Anyway! Your ideas?

2024.05.05 03:29 sin_with_a_grin83 How do you tell if a battery is G-Max???

I recently got a mower, snow thrower, and trimmer from Greenworks. I read that regular and G-Max batteries are not interchangeable and as far as I can tell only the trimmer says G-Max on the box. When I look up pictures to see the difference, most of them look exactly the same, so how can you tell the difference?

Slightly different anodization on my new Convoy
So, my new Convoy Z1 initially struck me as a dark gray when I opened the box. Comparing with my older Z1, I noticed the finish is different. While it doesn't show up well in photos, I thought I would post a quick comparison and while it's not a big difference, I like the subtle matte better.
I hope Convoy leans into the matte finish in more of their lights moving forward.
The Apache 1800 case pictured is molded to a couple of my thrower lights (pictured last). Not totally happy with how the spray-on rubberized sealant worked - in order to get fully coverage I had to apply it far too thick, so it doesn't really flex as advertised. But I kind of like the "flashlight in dirty snow" look.
