Stories where they tested positive, took the antibiotic, the baby still got infected and didn’t survive. Stories of women that did not take the antibiotic, gave birth naturally, and the babies were fine. Storied where women tested negative but their baby tested positive and didn’t survive. aaaalllll different sorts of stories.
The hospital never mentioned anything about a caesarean, but now I’m wondering if I should do it that way (I’m super not comfortable with a cesarean, but I’m not happy giving my baby and me antibiotics as a welcome to this earth either, although I can look past that in order to keep him safe but then again taking antibiotics doesn’t decrease the chance to 0%).

He’s poly and I’m typically a mono person, but after my last relationship I’ve been able to get past my trauma from family and my ex on being bisexual and have been open to seeing and learning about polyamory and other relationship styles / types.
There are times where we’ve spoken about no mater what without conversations that we are understanding that we aren’t dating, but are just friends who had feelings in hs and still have feelings for the most part presently who mess around and kiss here and there.

AITA I (28 F) live with my partner (31 M) we have a 3 year old boy we both agreed that I would be a stay at home mom. We live in an apartment that my brother was renting but then moved out of so he could move in with his fiancée on august of 2022 my brother had a baby and since him and my sister in law both work they asked me to babysit for them … they pay me $100 a week since I only babysit the days my brother works( he works 3 days one week and 4 days the other) the weeks he works 4 days I only babysit my niece 2 days because the other two is the weekend and since my sister in law is a teacher she doesn’t work . Trying to be nice I told my brother to not pay me directly the $400 a month and rather he use that money towards the rent we pay him . I’m not really a person that spends a lot and I know that if my son needs anything his dad will buy it . On march i told him I was going to tell my brother if he could give me the $400 instead of putting it towards the rent since I wanted to save up and get a new phone he had said that was fine but in the middle of April his mom called him(she lives in Mexico) she told him that they were going to propose to his sister and that since it’s tradition over there that the mother of the woman she needed to do some party/gathering but she didn’t have money so they asked him for $2,500 dollars (he makes $3,000 a month) he says yeah he can help out and asks when they need it by and they say that they are planning to do it in 3 - 4 weeks .. so my boyfriend tells me that if I could just put my $400 towards the rent still so he can send his mom money I said sure just pay me back. Last weekend he sent $300 leaving him with $400 for the week … that weekend was also the week I had to pay my Spotify and Hulu ( $40 in total) I had $25 I told him if he could give me the rest and he said no cause he had to put gas … today he told me “I don’t think I’m going to have enough to pay the rent” ( he only has to put $650) in told him idk how you are going to do it but you have to come up with the money somehow and he told me he couldn’t cause he still had to send his mom more money I told him that if we lived anywhere else they would kick us out on the spot( it’s been a couple of times my brother pays out of pocket the rent and we pay him back late) he then proceeds to tell me let him kick us out I rather help my family.. I told him ok so we are not your family or what? You rather send money for something that is not necessary than make sure your son has a roof over his head and he just told me I was an asshole that he was going to call his mom and tell her I was being an asshole … I get his family rarely asks him for money ( she’s only asked for money 3-4 times in the 5 years we have been together for her medical expenses) but I feel like throwing an “engagement party” is not a necessity. Am I the asshole?

I don't get how other women manage to find boyfriends that they love, and who love them. That propose to them, buy them gifts, have them meet their families, organize romantic dates for them, all while said women genuinely like the guy and are happy. Heck, some females even break up with guys even if there are mutual feelings and the relationship is decent, due to stupid reasons. Maybe the article that I read a few years ago saying that women with narrow pelvises struggle to find commitment more than femininely-shaped girls is true. Maybe I am just the safe option, since I cook, I clean, I'm always available, but don't spam anyone or stir up drama, and because of that, I am too boring.
Anyway, I am a 24F. And I never had a relationship where the guy loved me, and I loved him. I wasted 5 years of my life on a loser that was getting a kick out of a young woman being in love with him, who later tried to use me to get to Europe, and when that failed, he dumped me while I was pregnant. I found comfort with another guy, who gave me hope and showed me that I can still love men.
At first, I was cautious, since he told me not to catch feelings or get attached and I was freshly out of a relationship, but after 3 months of seeing him, he started acting in a more loving way, so I finally allowed myself to love him. That immediately caused him to ghost me for two weeks. Then, it turned out that he still has strong feelings for his ex-wife of 8 years. That I was literally the first woman that he managed to see more than once since she left him a few years ago, that he wanted to try moving on and opening himself up to someone else, hence the "girlfriend treatment", but couldn't bring himself to love me.
I thanked him for his honesty, told him that I was in a similar boat and also tried to force myself to love other guys when my first ex clearly wasn't into me, but to no avail. I wasn't even mad at him. I advised him to try and fix things with his former spouse, since it's clearly what he wants, and we both agreed that would be the best course of action for him. At least he didn't waste half of my youth or give me body image issues.
And here I am. 24F, single, and unable to trust any men. Unable to open up to them. People are telling me that I will find my person, but judging by my experiences and rejections, that is extremely unlikely. Add being divorced and suffering a miscarriage to the mixture, and my chances of finding mutual love and getting married are even smaller. I'm done with dating.

compared to my Secretly Bad Labs chair, it is a lot shorter. My racer style chair I Equipped a cheap skin over it, worked pretty well. My old chair tilt lock broke...somehow? After 4 years of ultra heavy use, i'd give it a 6/10. The arm leather started cracking (hench the skin cover) the fabric held up actually, so that's a plus. It's still quiet, and after 4 years of use my back could use a treat.

I know what's up. Chair is comfy (for the right body type) and arms suck. Also I've sat in one of these chairs at the retail store that I drove 2 hours for. I literally forgot how it felt after the drive back.
I like this chair. It fits me like the finally wearing the correct shoe size. I already got to use it for over 12 hours when i got it. fidgeting back and forth and moving side to side actually felt nice for my back. They must have listen to the one of the cons this chair notoriously had: "This chair is loud" *puts microphone on max gain* They must have lube the shit out of this chair cuz i can't hear anything,
The arms, for me since im a smaller frame, i can pull all the way in if I need to focus on solely typing, or i if put the arms all the way down to lift myself up using the arms as a base. And then when im 'gaming'/ working I put the arms all the way out and adjust the height to the correct level of my mouse and keyboard for a super comfortable relax position.
The back fit, i like it, i actually adjust it depending on how im sitting, if i wanna lean all the back, i make lumbar support or whatever buzzword they use;disappear, and if i wanna sit up right i crank it near the max to hug my back better.
Even though I am short I may want a headrest, my head rests on the top of the frame, and it's not the soft material, however FUCK U ATLAST HEADREST, im actually gonna pick up the:

I give this chair a 9/10, i wish the back accents were white, but i guess the leather arms would get dirty so fast from constant human contact. Might also upgrade the wheels after getting the headrest but so far into the future i'm still thinking about the amount of money i spend. oh well.

2024.05.17 08:56 Arman_TheBeast Refusing to change parking spot because it might delay me in future and then ignoring them when they shout. AITAH?

I recently attended an event in India and there were no parking spots. People were parking on road sides and grass where they could. It was a 2 day event and I had seen that if you park too outside the road into the grass. People would just pile their vehicles in front of you and move on. After the event when you have to drive home you have to wait for the vehicles owner who have parked their vehicle in from of you to come and clear the way. It can last from 5 mins to 30 minutes depending upon when they come and how deep is your vehicle parked.
In the 2nd day, I drove my 2 wheeler to the location 30 minutes early and parked in front of a car as I was in a hurry. However, the driver of the car honked at me and gestured me furiously to move. Seeing my mistake, I hurriedly obliged and moved my vehicle to beside it keeping in mind that if they wanted to leave they could. I still parked my vehicle much closer to the road so that I may not be delayed. After I took the keys out and was about to leave. The driver's father sitting beside him opened his window and asked me to move my vehicle inside the road into the grasses. His father did use the argument that where will others park. I declined and told him and if I do that people will park behind me. He replied that they won't and I countered with "They will do it! I was here yesterday also," . After this Father told this to the driver and the driver started shouting something which I could not hear. When I gestured this, he shouted me to come closer when I did he commanded me to move my vehicle inside. His words were "Hatane ke liye bol rhe hai na samajh nhi aarha hai kya" (Translation:I'm asking you to move don't you get it). When I continued to decline he started getting more furious.
There was a lot said by him like "I'll topple your vehicle if you don't". Then I started ignoring him when his last words were something like this "You're a student so be like a student". After this he was saying something but I couldn't make it out and he stopped speaking and started staring angrily. Upon his threat, I bought time for myself by acting like I was seaching for something and thinking what to do. I decided to stick up for myself and proceeded to the venue gate. I caught a glimpse of the stare but kept going. I did look a couple more times to see if he would do something but I guess it was just all bark, no bite.
However, I did think if what I did was right or not. Arguments for my actions were that I came first and thus should be able to decide where to park if not obstructing anyone. I also don't have to care for where others will park because there was plenty of space beside my vehicle to go into grass side. Also, the argument that where will others park was hilarious coming from people who parked their car close to the venue gate because I could have used the argument too that they should start parking from far off so that when a car comes and find no parking space where will it go.(It was a single lane road)Also, recently they had honked at me for parking in front of their car but want me to go inside grass area so that people can park in front of me😂🤣.
Cons that came to my mind where that if i should really compromise my good parking spot for a bad and time wasting one if it helps other people or if fighting for the parking spot worth it. Because it's India and situation can turn ugly quickly and I was outnumbered 2 to 1. People also seem to believe old people more. A few things also came to my mind in case they really toppled my vehicle. I thought I could scratch the car or break a mirror and then escape quickly as I had advantage at that.
Luckily, the situation didn't come to that and when I returned the Car was gone and my vehicle was relocated by someone else to clear way for their vehicle I guess as it was on stand but it was closer to road and I got out in 1 min. Had I complied earlier it was at least 30 mins of wait.

I am one of about a dozen developers on a team that's specialized in the Hyland OnBase WorkView case/document management platform. We've been using it for over a decade and have built a lot of successful client projects with it, but the drawbacks have reached a point where we are looking for a replacement. Ideally the new platform is something that our team of developers can learn and become proficient with relatively quickly. We'd also be open to hiring some people with SN experience, and/or bringing in a professional services group to get us on track.
A typical client project for our team is to build a case management system that a state government office of 25-50 case workers would use to enroll applicants in a program to receive some type of assistance. Here is a rough breakdown:
I had a very traumatic childhood. A lifetime of emotional battle scars. This has created a lot of character flaws. I’m too outspoken, I have anxious attachment and abandonment issues, I’m too easy to anger specifically when it pertains to my anxious attachment. This has made me a bad partner sometimes. These are not things I take lightly. I have partaken in therapy and years of never letting myself be okay with being a shitty person. What I have been through is never an excuse for my bad behavior. I have changed my life and am a much more calm person but I’m never perfect and I know I could improve in many ways. I’m mentioning this because I do not think I’m a perfect person or blameless in my relationship issues especially in the past.
All this leads up to: when my boyfriend (M23) and I (F23) first started dating I was not a good partner. I had absolutely no handle on my emotional problems. I was angry, unjustifiably irritable, and at times just plain mean. This part of my life haunts me far worse than anything I’ve been through. It actually makes me sick to think about. We broke up and got back together a month later. He is very famous on Instagram (1 million followers on Insta and 1 mil on Tik tok). When got back together I found out that he had been messing around with a freshman in college and she had just turned 18 (he was 22 almost 23). She was also a fan of his brand/Instagram and that’s how they met. This made me very uncomfortable because of the age gap and also the fact that it was a fan/influencer situation which to me is a power imbalance. When we got back together before we slept together I asked him if he had been intimate sexually with anyone else and he swore he hadn’t. I wanted to know before we had sex because we do not use protection. I found out after that they did have sex a few days before we got back together (and we had sex) and he had lied. This created a lot of problems in our relationship with trust as I felt he had risked my health with possible STDS. We lived together with his brother (M20) and he occasionally heard us fighting pretty bad about this.
The only other big fight we have gotten in is when I came home from a week long trip and found he had a service to hide some of his subscription payments and a secret email. I still tried very hard to make him like me. I cleaned his bathroom consistently, did his dishes for him, always tried to make conversation and went above and beyond for his birthdays. But he has never ever liked me through all of that. He says it’s because he thinks I’m a bad girlfriend bc of our fights he overheard and I take time away from his brother spending time with him.
So it’s gotten to a point where I’m very miserable. I do all the cooking, cleaning, shopping, laundry. I support him whole heartedly and help with his business about 25-30 hours a week or more if needed. He makes about 300k a year or more so he agreed to pay the mortgage and I pay the utilities, wifi, and for the groceries. I love this man with all my heart and other than our few problems where we both messed up, we have a good relationship.
Here is the problem, we have been together 3 years and I have always had every intention of marrying this man. But his brother hates me and lives with us indefinitely, he never keeps a job and often talks of suicide so my boyfriend would never consider kicking him out. My boyfriends friends are all the alpha male type (we live in a southern state) that think a woman should always be happy and agreeable and out of the way. I am an outgoing person who is very open about my opinions and they mostly see me as a ball and chain and are pretty open about that. I love my boyfriend very dearly and he treats me very well but between his brother and his friends I feel so ostracized and hated no matter how nice I am to these people.
I’m questioning if I’m a a terrible person or if I’m surrounded by people who are determined to not understand me or like me.

My 4-year-old husky has started acting out quite a bit lately. He seems to be marking his territory every time we take our eyes off of him. 9 months ago he got a little sister and she sleeps in the room with him, my wife and I. Likewise my daughter and her boyfriend moved into our home and it seems he's having a hard time adjusting. He growls quite a bit but he always has been a talker. Even when he's happy he talks. He talks when he eats (not food protective), he talks even when he is by himself. We always tell people he's just talking to you. He has never snipped at anybody and is very submissive to me. He has a nice size backyard and runs and plays daily. He also has a swimming pool and now that the weather is beginning to get warmer, he swims almost daily. Heck he talks when he swims. I don't think it's because of his energy.

2024.05.17 08:17 Flowersandcorals If the account holder marks a pay off as fraud- will my bank side with me?

I was in a controlling relationship and used to give my boyfriend my pay checks (I know, pathetic, I left eventually). I would pay off my credit card with our shared account. I brokeup with him and moved out a few months ago. Today I noticed that he has marked all the times I used his account to pay off my credit card as fraud so they all were reversed and now I owe my CC company $9,000. I’m really distressed, I’m not interested in taking legal action I don’t have the time or resources to do that. I called my CC company and they were just confused, they didn’t really understand why the charges were reversed and seemed just as confused as me, but they said they’d shut my card down and issue me a temporary credit. Still waiting for my balance to reflect the temporary credit. I have been googling online but it seems these kind of scenarios aren’t too common for some reason? Where the account holder marks the pay offs as fraud? I feel worried and am just hoping it’s resolved in my favor. When happens in circumstances like this? I have documentation of my pay checks that we deposited in his account but nothing else really. Thank you

I need some advice on choosing between two university programs: the Bachelor of Business Administration at ESADE Business School and the BA in History, Politics and Economics at University College London.
ESADE Business School BBA:
Pros:

  2. Weather: Sunny Barcelona.
  3. Difficulty: Rigorous but manageable.
Cons:
  1. Languages: Need to learn an additional language (Spanish or German).
  2. Prestige: Not as globally recognized as UCL.
  3. Interest and Career Prospects: Concerned about being limited to business roles.
UCL BA in History, Politics, and Economics:

  2. Language: Entirely in English and possibly able to bank on my Eastern European language fluency tho not entirely sure.

  2. Location: London is expensive and has less favorable weather.

P.S : Im fluent in English and French (and born and raised in Romania so also native speaker and Easter Europe background tho politics not aimed until possibly mid-late career. And also tho price is taken into account its not a determine to based my career path)
