I went to Verizon store on May 8 to learn about Verizon's 5G Home internet for $45 a month. I accepted it, thinking it would be a great idea to save $10 over my current plan so they activated it and gave me the modem with everything. Big mistake...
Turns out it was literally 20x slower, both upload/download over my current plan so I quickly changed my mind and went back to the store the next day to cancel my internet and return the modem to them.
They cancelled it but then they come up with this lame excuse that I have to call them to return the modem which they did. The rep told me they will send a box w/ label on it over to my house. 10 days later, I didn't get the box...So now I call them again and after chatting for like 75 minutes, all they did was send another fuckin return box with label.
I'm a little worried cause if I don't return this damn modem to them after 19 more days then I'll get charged $200. Is this Verizon's little way of trying to siphon $200 off of me? I just want to return my modem and they're making it damn near impossible to do so. I don't want to keep waiting and waiting for this stupid box to come cause there's no other way to do it. I read online that stores (both corporate and retail) are refusing customers that want to return their internet equipment and stories where the box just doesn't show up at their home after multiple attempts so wtf do I do? Do I go to a store anyways and force them to take it or something? If worst comes to worst, do I have to go to small-claims court and try to fight this $200 late fee for an obviously-undeserved penalty? Any tips appreciated.

- I find it hard to make friends and keep friends but yet with a complete stranger let’s say at a licensing department for example, they find it easy to strike up a conversation with me and tell me information about them that maybe I shouldn’t know about but still lend an active listening ear.
- I can’t look at people in the eyes when asking for help or talking to them it’s as if I have some inferiority complex that I haven’t dealt with yet.
- Despite the ease and accessibility with social media and dating apps I’ve found it hard to find someone im interested in and talk with them online without the conversation leading to anything sexual within the first 24 hours.
- Regarding point 3, I believe I’m an average looking guy but somehow random accounts will follow me and dm me and I’ll respond as a normal human being would but then the convo leads to love bombing and I kinda play along but it’s as if it’s almost a game to most of them with I found unfair to me but then understand that I responded to the text so therefore I’m also complicit.
- I do believe I have confidence im not even ashamed to walk around public spaces with paint stained clothes because I work in the construction field as a construction worker. People stare obviously but I pay no mind to it but somehow subconsciously it still bothers me.

I recently got an hsv 1 diagnosis about a month ago. I was able to get valacyclovir through an online pharmacy for hsv 1 outbreaks. i am unable to get an appointment with a doctor so i decided to talk to an online pharmacy. they thought it was appropriate to give me the antivirals for outbreaks, although the site says to not take valacyclovir when lesions have already occurred. therefore to take them as early as possible or else they dont work? however i keep getting recurrent outbreaks and they’re super painful. i just want them to go away because they hurt real bad and they keep reoccurring. the antivirals will take 2-5 days to ship to my house. is it even worth taking these antivirals if im already having an active cold sore? i just want them to stop happening and they hurt real bad. i can take tylenol but it doesn’t help 100%. i would really just like this to go away. what is everyone else’s experiences with antivirals? should i take the antivirals when they get here even if i already am experiencing the sores several days out? i want to tell my doctor when i can but i am unable to see her at the present.

Obviously I will never have the money to achieve this. But seeing the failures of Evermore and the Star Wars themed hotel I've written down some ideas on what I think would be a fun LARP experience that includes as many demographics as possible.
In my dream LARP theme park there would be an area designated for more structured activities like you'd see at a Ren Faire like an Archery Booth or Axe throwing. Things like puzzles in the environment that lead to "treasures" similar to geocaching. Themed escape rooms. Etc.
There would also be a more open area with themed buildings and limited staff (only there to call for help if someone needs medical attention) for group LARPing.
There would be three types of experiences based on ticket price detonated by wrist band color.
NPCs would be pretty limited to the more structured areas such as the restaurants (Imagine an NPC bartender for example) or themed buildings in the main area (I really loved the lady with a baby dragon at Evermore). And unless you're with a guide their dialogue would be pretty limited as well: both to protect the employees playing the NPCs and to minimize regulars hogging the NPCs. The NPCs would stay put in one place and give limited quests like pointing to a puzzle or two in or around the themed building where the NPC is. Once the puzzle is complete with proof, you would return for your prize (like a small stuffed animal, a piece of fantasy costume jewelry, or a mini grimoire with silly spells written inside.) Complex puzzles and quests would change once a year. Simpler puzzles and quests would change once per season to match the theme of the season.
There would be a store that sells foam weapons for people who want to LARP but came unprepared. Maybe an area for live shows like jousting (Open to all who bought a ticket regardless of price). And obviously a store that sells merch like Tshirts, stickers, hats, fans, plushies etc. And OBVIOUSLY a tree with a face.
These are just the simple ideas floating around my head. Since I will never have the money or backing to create my own fantasy LARP theme park it doesn't matter how unrealistic my ideas are ahahah

If they want to access the more structured activities (such as Archery), like a ren faire it would cost extra money. This would be best for people who want to have access to a sick ass LARP space.
- People who want a more guided and structured experience (Groups of 5 to 10) where there is a guide who takes them around to experience the more structured activities and small, simple but rewarding quests with NPCs. There would also be one "major" quest the is completed at the end of the guided experience. This would be the most expensive experience and would likely need to have limited tickets per day as there would need to be staff handling each group. As this experience is more expensive the cost of the structured actives would be factored into the ticket cost and guests would not need to pay an additional fee (again using archery as an example). Perhaps the guests would get a coupon for a free appetizer at the restaurants. The guide would not take the customers to the open area LARP section. This option would be best for families.
- People who want access to the more structured activities but do not want a guide. This would be a medium priced ticket. They would have access to the structured activities but not to the NPCs. The cost of the structured activities would be factored into the ticket cost and would not cost extra. They would also get access to the open area LARP section. This is for people who just want to have a ren faire like experience.

As an individual who has been drawing for years, my hatred for other artists has increased significantly. This is just a me problem that I will have to get over on my own, but I don’t know how. I genuinely can’t fucking stand when people are better than me, ESPECIALLY with art. Even if they suck at drawing, it still makes me so mad because they can potentially improve and become better than me in the future. Everyone develops their art at different rates, which is unfair to me because I’ve been drawing basically my whole life and my art still looks mediocre. Probably worse than that honestly. There’s people younger than me who draw way better than I do. I hate it so much. When I interact with artists online or irl I don’t tell them how I truly feel towards them and about this crazy issue I have. It’s not like I’m directly or indirectly telling them I hate them, I keep it to myself. I wish I could learn how to draw for myself again. It’s the only hobby I actively engage myself with, but at the same time I don’t like it. I wish all artists could stop fucking drawing so I can become the best. I need to be the best or I won’t be satisfied or happy with myself, which is why I’m sitting down typing this out, because I’m not the best. And I know it’ll never happen.

Posting as a student here.
I have been home schooled in the UK (online) for the past year and essentially given the power to pick who I wanted for my teachers by my parents. I have been having the weirdest experiences and looking for support or explanations?
Here is a list:
• teachers getting angry at me for not being able to answer a problem and telling me “I never had a tutor” angrily
• booking lessons with me through the agency then not turning up. Pretending they booked the wrong time, telling me what the right time is, again not turning up. I have been there the whole time waiting for them. Tell me they will offer some times during the week as a one-off. I wait for them to tell me which days, keeping my evenings (after 7pm) open for them. Don’t offer new times. This specific tutor is only available at 9am on Sundays for an hour and has now told the agency they ‘are not around for the next two weeks’ even though they know my exam is in 3 weeks and we have missed each other for the last 4 weeks. The week after they did not turn up, they turn up, start to test me on a topic as if we are in an exam, then get angry at me for not knowing it perfectly off by heart? They were like “have you read it”, “yes, I have studied this module”, “no, you may have studied it but you do not know it. There is no point unless you know it” then they made us reschedule for the next week now have disappeared? How am I supposed to know to do homework if they don’t let me know in advance? And they are only free on a Sunday at 9am which is a bad time for me because my dad works night shifts. I told them about my dad and they just completely ghosted the message making me feel unimportant to them. Also, the tutor doesn’t have perfect grades of his own, and keeps making reference to ‘boffins’ who get the good marks… and I told him I was in the middle of other exams and he acted completely surprised and disappointed I have other subjects to sit exams for. As if all I am doing with my life is meeting him on a Sunday morning at 9am.
• one private tutor completely forgot who I was. When starting each class, they would tell me to remind them which topic we were on because they could not remember, at one point this teacher got angry at me for politely asking them (with notice) if we could please start 15 minutes later so I could go to the toilet and have some water because I was coming out of a two hour lesson (never said I wouldn’t be fine to finish 15 minutes earlier if they had another lesson), telling me off and saying they are going to charge me for the whole thing rudely when I said I wouldn’t come to the lesson if they were going to treat me badly. This was our first lesson after they basically disappeared because they ‘had migraines’ and then forgot to arrange a lesson for two months, ignoring my texts. I had to call the agency and get them to make them book a lesson (this is all halfway through our module). Before they started avoiding lessons because of migraines, they had spent lesson time confiding in me that they were suffering from a bereavement of someone’s sibling (that they didn’t actually know). I felt really uncomfortable with this the whole time but was supportive.
• tutor telling me “you want to take a break now” and making me wait in a “break” for 30 minutes, then charging me for those 30 minutes even though I did not need a break? Later found out what he was teaching me was completely awful and way, way too basic - I would have gotten a D if I followed his advice.
• tutor refusing to teach me the topic I asked them to teach (part of the curriculum and a topic they previously said they would be happy to teach - they brought it up not me, so I later asked if they meant that and if so, that I would be interested to cover it soon), but suddenly trying to pressure me to instead pay them for internship ‘application review’ services I did not ask for help with.
All the above happened with lessons scheduled through a tutoring agency. The tutors knew I could raise concerns with the agency, and yet still acted this way. To disclose, I am a straight A student and work hard. I have high standards for my lessons. I depend on these lessons because outside of them, I do not have a great social life. So I am deeply focused on my studies. I am respectful with their time and always accommodate to their preferred time. I am always in lessons on time and switched on, and complete tasks around lessons if they are set. Most often, I have to actively ask for homework to be set (I do not ask for it to be marked, as I know that takes time). If it is marked, I compensate them per hour taken. I feel scammed. I have been waiting for two weeks now anxiously for a message from the tutor in the second bullet, who is supposed to be supporting me as a practice partner for an oral exam I have soon, and is not replying to my polite messages asking if he can please send me what the plan is or at least share the past papers he said earlier in our lessons he had but never got round to sending, in order that I might do some work while waiting for him to come back after two weeks, even though my exams are close. What gives?

Hi everyone, I would love your thoughts on a guy I’ve been on four dates. We met online. First date was dinner. Second date was dinner two days later. The following day was the third date or dinner and a movie. He also let me know his friends had additional tickets to a comedy show for us. I declined because I was not yet ready to meet his friends and wanted to spend more time with him. We tried to get together over the weekend (he offered to cook for me at his apartment and watch a movie) but my schedule didn’t align so we agreed to meet in the middle of the week. While he is planning the activity he shares a link to a sexual chemistry talk for single and couples. I laughed it off but did let him know I was still getting to know him so he buys ticket to a comedy show. Fourth date arrives, dinner and a show. I am hoping he kisses me especially since we held hands while watching the comedy show. However he doesn’t and just drops me home without letting me know when we will see each other. I share my feelings on it and he says let’s get in touch the following week. I let him know I am free every day but Thursday and he says Thursday is all he has free. I change my schedule to be free on Thursday and plans never materialize. This was upsetting to me so I asked if we could talk. Recently we got on the phone where I asked him what has changed between us and he told me he wasn’t sure I liked him so he was backing off and giving me space. I asked him what made him think that and he said it’s a feeling he had. I told him I liked him and was hoping he would kiss me already to which he responded he was trying to but wasn’t sure if I was open to it based on my body language so he stopped making the effort. I keep wondering if this guy is bullshitting / gaslighting me. My other frustration with him is he can take a long time to respond. Hours can go by before he responds to my text message and sometimes a few days if I do not double text him. If it provides any additional color he works in real estate.

I’ve been thinking about my feelings lately, for years i’ve been a little numb, can’t get close to my family, losing interest in things i usually enjoy like video games, always feel tired, want to feel motivated but can’t, low self esteem, anxiety, can’t set time to study, try for 30 minutes and then go lay in bed or end up watching youtube, and there’s days that i neglect my hygiene
i typed symptoms of depression on google and came across a website called Nurx and took a small quiz, paid a fee and now its under review for a prescription.
i always thought i was “normal” and felt like everyone feels like this, i mean no one can be happy 27/4 right? i don’t know if im depressed and don’t want to say that i am because there’s probably people here who really feel it and it sucks.
I try to dismiss my symptoms by:
feeling numb: i’m just bored, when i’m out with friends drinking i don’t feel like this
can’t get close to my family: i never really learned how to talk to them growing up so now that im an adult it’s hard to make that connection
losing interested in things i usually enjoy: maybe im just getting over video games, i’ve played them all my life already
always feel tired: well i do go to sleep late and wake up early for work, although even when i do get 8+ hours i feel tired and always use my 1 hour lunch break to take a nap and another one after work then have trouble sleeping when i should, i just need to fix my sleep schedule
want to feel motivated but can’t: i tell myself im just lazy and need to do what i need to achieve my goals, even if i don’t want to and then i’ll start building better habits. i know i should but never do anything
low self esteem: i tell myself just need to lose a few pounds, take care of myself first and it’ll be fixed, but again i don’t feel motivated to do what i need to do
anxiety: i tell myself everyone gets nervous when walking in a grocery store or gas station, i just need to keep doing it and i’ll get better at it, and no one is looking at me it’s all in my head. when im not around people i know i feel very anxious and nervous but i can have a normal conversation although deep down it feels like im faking it, not sure how to explain it. my family gets mad because im 1 outgoing happy person with my friends and can’t have 1 conversation with them. when im home im just in my room, in bed
can’t set time to study: again im just lazy stop getting distracted and procrastinating, i have to reread the same page 5 times because my mind start wandering but its because i have been out of school for years, i need to relearn how to learn
neglecting my hygiene: im just lazy just go take a shower.
