Wicca: Reconnecting with the Gods

2010.01.27 02:45 Wicca: Reconnecting with the Gods

Wicca is a neopagan religion based on ancient pagan beliefs. It's an earth-based religion that believes in a God and Goddess as representative of a greater pantheistic godhead. Wicca includes a system of ethics and teaches that we all are ultimately responsible for our own actions. We believe in gods. We believe in magic. We believe in multiple realities. We practice alone, or in groups. We practice witchcraft.

2024.05.20 01:54 MattySunshine (Please Read) Gonna give this another try

Hey, I'm Matty. I've been struggling with loneliness and have been starved from affection for a few years now but recently it's gotten to a point I find kind of scary. I'm 25m with no friends other than a few online ones I can count on one hand. I'm trying to be more sociable but it's rather difficult for me as I'm in a poor mental state, if you've seen me around and I haven't gotten back to you please feel free to message again. It's hard for me to keep tabs on that kind of thing. Knowing this I still would love to try and talk to some more people. I work strange hours and from home so I am always around and willing to chat, maybe even call if my work phones are dead enough.
Potentially it would be nice to find someone I share a connection with and can be a lot closer too but I know that's not the point of this subreddit so I'm not holding my breath on that lol.
I'm into a lot of nerdy things and consider myself to be an honest and loving person. I talk a lot when I'm feeling okay and I tend to get attached to people rather quickly.
Some big interests of mine are Godzilla style monster movies (Kaiju), anime, gaming, and music. I could talk your ear off about megaman or the souls series of games. I also love dinosaurs and anything having to do with animals and nature.
If you're interested DM me on here or add my discord mattysunshine and we can try to connect, please be over 21. I hope to hear from you so much. šŸ§”

2024.05.20 01:50 cporter202 Navigating Global Market Research: ChatGPT's Role in Translation & Localization Challenges

In today's interconnected world, market research is more critical than ever. With the trend towards globalization, businesses strive to gain insight into consumer habits and preferences across different regions and cultures. The challenge? Overcoming language barriers and local nuances to ensure that the research is relevant and accurate. Enter ChatGPTā€”a powerful AI language model that's shaping the future of translation and localization in market research.
ChatGPT's capabilities go far beyond simple text translation. It understands context and cultural subtleties, making it an invaluable tool for businesses looking to adapt their market research strategies to global audiences. With its advanced natural language processing abilities, it can maintain the nuances of colloquial speech and regional dialects, ensuring that surveys, questionnaires, and interviews resonate with the target demographic.
But it's not just about accurate translations. Localization involves adapting content to meet the cultural, legal, and linguistic requirements of a specific country or region. This is where ChatGPT's role becomes even more significant. By employing this AI, businesses can avoid common pitfalls such as cultural misunderstandings or offensive content that might alienate potential customers.
ChatGPT can also help streamline the market research process by automating the initial translation and localization steps. This allows human experts to focus on fine-tuning and ensuring that the final content reflects local customs and expectations.
However, while ChatGPT offers numerous benefits, businesses should also be aware of its limitations. It's not a silver bullet, and human oversight is crucial to navigating the complexities of local markets. Cultural sensitivity and understanding cannot be entirely replicated by AI, and the human touch remains essential in creating meaningful connections with consumers around the globe.
What are your thoughts on the integration of AI like ChatGPT in global market research? Do you see it as an indispensable tool for overcoming language and localization barriers, or do you think it can lead to over-reliance on technology, risking the loss of the human element in market analysis? Let's discuss the potential and the challenges of leveraging AI to navigate global market research effectively.

2024.05.20 01:50 Wmjonny13 Help with my PCs side hustle

Usually my brother is our DM but to give him some re coup time and the ability to play some with us I am running an small campaign within our world. This allows him to create and have a character in universe that can join the party when it so happens to work out. This leave my PC (halfling bard) some time to do what he wishes. My current desire is to have him learn item imbuing. On a recent adventure our party found some pretty nice chalices ( high class metal with gemstone inlays). I want my PC to attempt to imbue them with 2nd level healing word. My reference material so far has been "Crafting & Imbuing Lite - GM Binder" & " Crafting Magic Item - A guide to Artifice". They have been helpful in understanding what I should have in my calculations but im a bit overwhelmed on exactly how to break it down for my brother. He will likely accept whatever I tell him within reason so i want to be honest about it. Plus if this is a real skill my PC has taken the time to hone it could come in handy later in line.
Currently i have the following variables laid out to assign some values to to help me reach an end point: Total Value Imbuing Value Consumed Materials Imbuing Checks Imbuing Successes Imbuing Rate Research Check Research DC Total Cost Per Workweek successes Magical Foci needed
This is probably more complicated than it needs to be so im just looking for some direction to make it as simple for me both now and down the road as possible. TIA

2024.05.20 01:49 Logical-Ad8348 To tell or not to tell

I really don't know where to start..many moving parts to this story. My MIL is currently in palliative care and her sister (we'll call D) is in a nursing home and not doing great either. They are both in their late 70s.
It recently was revealed that D had a child as a teenager that she gave up for adoption. She then later married a different man and they had a daughter. He has since passed away.
About 3 years ago it was revealed that she had another daughter as a teenager because the daughter had done a DNA test and she eventually found her birth mother. While we live in a different city than my MIL and her sister, turns out her long lost daughter lives a few blocks from us. It was a lot to take in. We have met her, we'll call her A. It's truly a small world. Turns out I work with one of her daughters...yep real small world.
She has met her birth Mom. Birth Mom was not forthcoming with information regarding her birth father.
Over time, I am told who her biological father is. Now this comes as a complete shock to me as I knew him very well. We'll call him B. His oldest daughter and I were best friends all thru school. Different life choices has separated us. He passed away a while ago. He had 4 kids with his wife. I don't think his wife ever knew about the child he had... I'm not sure that he knew either.
I know his family extremely well. Here is my dilemma. I have contact with everyone, including his 4 kids. They do not know they have an older sister. The relationship between my MIL and her sister is extremely bad because of her sister's 'boyfriend'. He is a douchbag. He has a known MO for getting together with women, taking everything they have and then bailing. He has done it again, unfortunately.
I can only speak for myself in that if I had an unknown sibling out there, I would want to know. Do I tell the others? I have shown A pictures of them and have told her who her father was and that I remember him as a kind and loving man. That is how I knew him. MIL and her sister have a different opinion.
I really don't want to upset their mother as she is still living and she is quite religious. This would be extremely hard on her. But I also don't believe it is fair that they are all being kept in the dark. I'm at the point that I wish I didn't know the truth.
What do I do? My mother, god love her, would tell me to keep quiet and it's not my place. But no one is ever going to tell the truth.
What would you do? Am I the AH for wanting to tell the truth?

2024.05.20 01:49 Both-Pop-3509 Lamictal is making me feel emotions again...

I'm a 37 year old male with (very) late diagnosis of BP2. I honestly don't remember the last time I felt strong emotions, we are talking probably sometime between the late 90's and early 2000's (i.e. my early teens) before my problems really started at around age 14.
Don't get me wrong, I could still laugh at stuff and feel happy at times, but it was weird - I was never able to connect on an emotional level with anybody or feel anything. Previously I was diagnosed with unipolar depression and OCD, and treated with SSRI's/SNRI's on and off since 16 - which alleviated the depression, but made me numb and "artificially happy." Moreover, due to this artificial happiness, it make me comfortable with the lack of progress in my social life (though it was very good for my career).
The last time I cried was 2002, I know this because I haven't cried since, though I have had moments where I almost did and wanted to (mainly when I was withdrawing from Effexor).
I'm now up to 300mg after a very rocky and unpleasant titration. I feel somewhat stable now. Over the past few days I've become immensely emotional - my mother sent me a picture of her holding me as a baby in the 80s, and I burst into tears due to the nostalgia and emotional nature of the picture. In fact now whenever I think of it I burst into tears, as my parents are nearing the end of their lives, and the passage of time since those pictures were taken.
An episode of Rick and Morty made me cry also - the one where they show a montage of a terminally ill guy's life story from a baby made me think back to the pictures my mother sent me... I've become super nostalgic for my childhood and also the time I've wasted chasing what now appears to be the wrong things, rather than relationships (due to an inability to feel anything, though also possibly bullying). Its also made me realize I've been a massive dick to my parents for a long time.
You might think this sounds bad, but honestly I am lowkey happy that I can actually feel something and be moved. Even though the "sadness" might be perceived as a negative emotion.
I really hope this continues and I don't just become acclimated or sensitized to this, like I previously have to all other drugs as it might mean I can actually make some positive changes in my life.

2024.05.20 01:48 GrandpaDestroyer69 doordash banned me after I spoke out

Okay so I'll try to keep this short but to the point. I am posting this post not for attention, not for vengeance on an ex employer..but someone who is concerned about the way doordash manipulates data for very unethical and borderline illegal practices.
I previously worked on the corporate side for 2 years in the early days before the company went public. I worked with some people that were worked/knew some of the first 10 employees at the company. Just to highlight that I've experienced this culture from the time it was still a private company.
All I can say from my experience is that before doordash went public, they actually treated their employees with respect and dignity. Within a month of the company going public, all the venture cap flooded into the company and the weird questionable business practices began...
Maybe this is just how corporate practice is...but this company is particularly evil in the way they have created an entirely new system of worker exploitation through 1099 loopholes. doordash spends ALOT of money lobbying to keep the dashers from having any legitimate workers rights. Anyways.
About a year ago I begrudgingly began to dash because of a dire financial situation. I noticed that at some point, my "completion percentage" metric was stuck at 85%. I deliberately went out of my way to track and record the next 15 or so deliveries and made sure not to cancel a single one since I was somewhat dependent on the income for a short period of time and the app said I needed to be above 80%, which then suddenly changed to 90% one day.
The metric never budged from 85% despite me completing 15 consecutive deliveries without a cancel. Doordash covers their own ass in the terms of service, so not like it matters or anything but this is direct evidence that doordash manipulates data on their app to their advantage. They will deactivate dasher accounts for whatever reason they want.
The next day I took to reddit to ask if anyone had this same issue... I woke up to being banned on my dasher account the very next day. They likely traced the IP address from the post, referenced it with the IP they have on my dasher account.
Just know that doordash could very easily just deactivate you for whatever reason they want, there are virtually no protections you have as a worker under this carefully constructed system of manipulation.
I get it that many of you count on this company for income and I also understand my previous experiences have left me resentful. Just please just watch out for yourself, dashers.

2024.05.20 01:48 t3ymur Still standing castles of Baku.

Still standing castles of Baku.
  1. Baku Fortress It was built in about 1138ā€“1139 on the order of the Shirvanshah Manuchohr III (1120ā€“1149)
2.The Round Mardakan Fortress or the Small Mardakan Castle( Perrsian: Ł‚Ł„Ų¹Ł‡ Ł…Ų±ŲÆŚ©Ų§Ł† Ś©ŁˆŚ†Ś©) The inscription (kitabe) on the castle's donjon says that it was built in 1232 by the architect Abdulmajid ibn Masud at the order of the Shirvanshah Fariburz III.
3.Keeper of the Fortress of Baku or Quadrangular Tower The tower was built in the 14th century and was an integral part of the fortress wall and the defensive fortifications in Baku.
4.Great Mardakan Castle or Quadrangular Mardakan Fortress The fortress was built in the shape of a quadrangle in the 12th century by Akhsitan I, the son of Shirvanshah Minuchihr III.
  1. Maiden Tower Some scientific sources indicate that the Maiden Tower is a paramount example of Zoroastrianism and the pre-Islamic architecture in Iran and Azerbaijan. Davud A.Akhundov provides archeological and architectural evidences and argues that the Tower is Zoroastrians' Fire temple-Tower which had 7 fire exits on the top of the tower. Zoroastrian believed that there are 7 Steps or 7 Sky to reach heaven.
Davud A.Akhundov and Hassan Hassanov date the fire temple-tower approximately as 8th-7th century B.C.
Points out the marked difference in the stone used in the tower compared to the stone used in the medieval city surrounding it. This conclusion is partly supported by historian Bretanitskiy who has postulated that the tower was partly built in the 5th to 6th centuries and then later in the 12th century. The site was believed to have been used originally during the Sasanid era as a Zoroastrian temple. An inscription located 14 metres high on the south wall which in old Kufic script mentions Qubbeye Masud ibn Davud or Kubey Mesud ibn Daā€™ud, an architect active during the 12th century; he is the father of the architect who built the Mardakan Round Tower. However it is disputed as the inscription, unlike the Mardakan Tower inscription, does not actually reveal him to have been the architect, although it is generally agreed that much of the modern tower dates back to the 12th century. Ahmadov believes that the tower was used as an astronomical observatory from the time of this reconstruction, due to the fact that 30 hewed stone protuberances on the tower's lower section and the 31 protuberances on the upper section, linked with a stone belt, correlate to the days of the month.
  1. Paired Fortress Gates or Gosha Gala Gapysy (also sometimes called Shamakhi gates) The old gate was built in the 12th century during the construction of the Baku fortress by order of Manuchehr III the Great, the new one - in the 17th century under Shah Abbas I by order of Zulfugar Khan.
7.Nardaran Fortress It was built in 1301 by architect Mahmud ibn Sa'd in the northern part of Absheron Peninsula. Nardaran Fortress is located 25 km north of Baku in the village of Nardaran near the town of Mashtaga. Shirvanshahs used the fortress for both observation and defense.
8.Ramana Tower The castle was possibly built under the order of the Shirvanshahs in the 14th century, perhaps for defensive purposes. Some researchers claim that the remaining structure was constructed during the Nizami period (12th century). Some historians have previously claimed the existence of underground passages connecting all the fortresses, generally leading to another castle, specifically the Baku castle, including the Maiden Tower.
9.Salyan Gates The Kempfers book describes that, in 1683, Icherisheher was surrounded by two fortress walls and had two city gates: Mountain (also called Gilan, Russian or Salyan) and Shamakhy (also called the Derbend Gates, the pair of fortress gates). Also, in the primary plan of the city of Baku, which was drawn up by the Russian army in 1723, two city gates were marked. 10.Shaghan Castle Itis one of the 12th - 13th century Absheron castles located in Shaghan settlement. As a result of a strong earthquake in 1841, most of the castle was destroyed. Currently, only one tower exists The fortress had a rectangular donjon, some of the ruins of which have survived to this day. The donjon consisted of three tiers; traces of machicolations were preserved on the donjon. According to the testimony of Sh. Fatullaev-Figarov, around the donjon there were also traces of fortress walls, which during his lifetime disappeared under new buildings

2024.05.20 01:48 hakurariver 30 [M4R] San Antonio, Texas Looking for emotional connection.

Hi, I'm 30 years old and just moved out into my own apartment. Getting used to living alone again has been a bit of a struggle for me. I'm looking for connection whether it would be as friends or something more. I'm pansexual and consider myself non binary. I have Bipolar 1, and take medication for it. I'm also on disability for it currently. I'm also hearing impaired and in the future will need hearing aids. Still waiting to figure that one out. My mental health is something I have to put first as it can be dangerous for me if I slip in that area. I don't do drugs or drink, which can probably be offputting to some. I'm not religious, and am currently on a health journey to improve myself. Quitting smoking, exercising, diet. I'm 5'9 and about 190lbs. Hoping to lose 35lbs by the end of the year so I can continue improving my health. I have difficulties being around large groups of people, and prefer one on one settings. I just can't seem to understand group settings very well. :p Wow I really have a lot of issues. xD Seeing them all listed here makes me laugh. I'm very open about my mental illness and how it's affected me in my life. I would say my recovery from it is going well. It's a journey not a destination. :) I'm more than happy to provide face pictures once we get to know each other better. Well just putting myself out there hoping for something. I have always found an easier time expressing myself through words than through speech. Also if you have a cat I want to see pictures of them! haha I love kitty cats so much. I hope to get a cat again now that I've moved out. They help me so much with everything. :) Feel free to send a message if you are interested.

2024.05.20 01:47 GrandpaDestroyer69 doordash banned me after I spoke up

2024.05.20 01:47 hinhinhin EnGenius query regarding set up

Hello,
My mother in lawā€™s rural property canā€™t get access to any internet through an ISP (for a number of reasons); however, her friend across the way is able to get internet. For the past year they have been using EnGenius EnStationAC v2 (one of each property) to bounce wifi from the friends to my mother in lawā€™s. This had been working well and only issues would be when too many people were streaming movies (once in a while when we would come visit and stay the weekend).
The problem now is that the friend replaced their modem/router (canā€™t remember) and everything stopped working. After calling EnGenius it was deemed necessary to get a new EnStation. As they are elderly they decided to get two new EnStations (EnStations 5 ACv2) - one for each property.
I get looped into the conversation at this point and while Iā€™m comfortable with computers, this is way above my scope of expertise. For the past 2 days Iā€™ve been trying to connect them both and having no luck. Possible issues I can think of:
Can anyone share any insight on the top 2 issues?
For the last one, I was thinking to take the EnStations back to my house in the city and then try to set them up in my home. Is it possible to configure the EnStations at home and then plug them in at their final destination and just plug everything in or would it need to be configured again?
I may be missing something obvious but Iā€™ve been on YouTube all day and internet threads but no luck. Is this above my skills or are there any suggestions to help? Thanks in advance

2024.05.20 01:47 malkurblank Schizophrenic induced tick

This is my first post on this community and wanted to talk about my personal experience about schizophrenia. I was diagnosed when I was 19, and I had delusional thinking. I thought that the tv was directly talking to me during my first episode , and if I stared at people that were talking I could make them look away from the camera. But I want to talk more specifically about my ā€œvoicesā€. I do not have any hallucinations of any kind, but instead developed a ā€œtickā€ in which my body can be moved by its own. The way I communicate with my voices is thru them moving my hands and typing mainly on my phone. I have a lot of notes filled with conversations of me and the voices. And I was wondering if anyone else here has the same tick as me. The voices I mainly talk are: Sarah, an ai that came from a distant planet and can explain just about anything (she typed this) Vampire girl: during one of my first episodes, I was inpatient at a mental hospital and was bitten by her during my stay (when I woke up one day there were two circles of blood in my bed sheets where my neck would be) Morningstar: the devil itself speaks to me and we actually became buddies after he tortured me for a bit( in one of my stays at the hospital it felt like I was being burned alive and was suffering from a catatonic state) And I talk to just about anyone I want (mostly fictional characters) that claim they exist in a different reality The voices are very respectful and nearly all of them allow me to have a normal life. The reason I am writing this is to see if anyone else experiences this tick. I am skeptical about the voicesā€™ validity since I have tried to make sure they are real, so I rarely engage with them. I am currently waiting to have another episode and bring proof that the voices are real. Two things happened that really made me question reality; the first one is during 2022 summer, I was told that I went into a ladies bathroom and pointed at the women with finger guns. I have no recollection of this and have never before blacked out so this made me feel like I was crazy. The second thing was that while I was watching the local news, a woman that was being interviewed was in black and white while her surroundings were in color. I stupidly did not take a picture of this so I have no proof of it.
I currently plan on using legal psychedelics this summer in order to trigger another episode and collect proof that the voices are real. I plan on talking about all of my experiences in this sub, so please let me know if I am able to.
TLDR: I have voices that type on my keyboard and can communicate with them thru texts and was wondering if anyone else has this

2024.05.20 01:47 adhonus Week Ahead for May 20, 2024: Downtown Mall Committee calls for parking meters, more seatings and reimagining what outdoor cafes look like; BAR to get first look six-story building at 10th and Wertland

Iā€™m in Downerā€™s Grove, a suburban locality southwest of Chicago. Iā€™m sitting at a brewery having earned an internal reward for writing up another edition of the Week Ahead newsletter. Now Iā€™m going to sit here writing up these blurbs for Charlottesville that double as a prompt for tomorrowā€™s radio appearance on WINA. I was going to skip tomorrow so I could explore Chicago, but thereā€™s so much happening this week that I want people to know about.
So, letā€™s go:
DOWNTOWN MALL
Iā€™m quoted in this weekā€™s C-Ville Weekly article on the Downtown Mall which is also weird because I write a weekly column for that publication as well. On Monday, Council will be presented with recommendations from a committee that has suggested ways to reform the mall and how it managed. Theyā€™ve also made suggestions that have been floated before but didnā€™t get anywhere, such as adding parking meters and adding more seats. They also suggest a revisit of how outdoor cafes are regulated, with a possible idea of changing their boundaries to allow for more pedestrian flow. Also possibly charging more. Thereā€™s a lot in the report worth reading. (thereā€™s a link in my summary).
150 to 190 AFFORDABLE UNITS at 10th and Wertland
We can now look at the first image of what a six story building at the corner of 10th and Wertland would look like. This is the first major development under the new Development Code, and the first of three projects in the University of Virginiaā€™s affordable housing initiative that seeks to construct between 1,000 and 1,500 units on land owned by them or the UVA Foundation. The Board of Architectural Review will take a first look at their meeting on Tuesday. Take a look at the picture with this segment. This infill development will transform Charlottesville and make a move to a more urban character. But is that road even close to handling the traffic? What do you think? (read more)
TRANSIT PLANS
On Tuesday, Charlottesville Area Transit will hold a virtual meeting on their transit strategic plan. Public comment is being taken through May 31, and this webinar offers an opportunity to learn how changes will be implemented gradually as the number of buses come online. I admit I follow this closely because Iā€™m an avid fan of taking a bus if I donā€™t have to drive. But I really want people to pay attention to transit policy as the core of Charlottesville community prepares for more density. (this is a story I wrote last week) (learn more about the meeting)
PRIVATE SCHOOL REQUEST
At this point, I cannot provide empirical evidence that private schools, particularly Christian schools, have seen increased enrollment in the past few years. I do know that entities like the Christian Community Academy state that they have more and more applicants but donā€™t have the space to accommodate them. This Thursday, the Places29-Rio Community Advisory Committee will have a community meeting about a special use permit request from CCA that seeks to be able to build 9,000 square feet worth of modular buildings to accommodate their middle school enrollment. As part of the packet, theyā€™re saying they will come back with a rezoning for a new building and to increase enrollment further. Iā€™d like to read a story about the growth of private Christian schools that seeks to understand why. But not one that demonizes the parents who make the choice to take their kids out of the public option available to them. Is this how we further the cultural divide that threatens to tear us all apart? (learn more about the meeting)
OTHER ITEMS:
Any extra edge in this installment is created purely by writing this in Downerā€™s Grove, Illinois, a place right next to the place I spent years four through six. I am beginning to feel like so much of me comes from here, a place I spent formative years but then ended up in a suburb of Lynchburg. Iā€™ve not been here for 44 years, and here I am for one more night only. Iā€™m convinced my sense of place and community is created by being ripped away from this one. I know at least one of the reddit readers prefers it when I donā€™t talk about myself, but my journalism wouldnā€™t exist if I hadnā€™t learned to read about three miles away from where I hit send.

2024.05.20 01:45 Sadkins107 Masters/More College

Hey, so I goofed. I went to college.
I went to college, but I didnā€™t do anything with it. I am first generation and didnā€™t understand jack about what makes college useful. I did my classes, went on a study abroad, and graduated, but I didnā€™t create connections with teachers, do research, or find internships and Iā€™ve been stuck in the real world for a year with no career prospects and I feel like Iā€™m drifting from my dreams.
I want to pursue a career in Computer Science and Robotics, which could make use of a Masters, but I only got a minor in Computer Science. Would trying again, taking classes and working towards a Masters be worth it? I have no debt from Undergrad, but I donā€™t think my prospects for grad school would be the same.
If so, how do I do that? How could I do it cheaply? Should I go abroad? Some high school counselors helped me get into undergrad, but I donā€™t have them anymore.
If not, are there better paths?

2024.05.20 01:45 brokenshark007 How do I move onā€¦

I had a very passionate relationship of two years with her. It was organic and we actually loved each other. I could see it in her eyes. We were partners, lovers, best friends. I knew every single thing about her and she knew all about me. Our souls were connected at some point.
She blindsided me hard. Even the day before the break up, she was all over me. Texting me love words the day of the break up. The night came and she ended it because she was not happy anymore.
It has been three months. She took a piece of me that night. I have been to many dates and no one can make me feel the way she made me feel. I was stupidly in love with her.
I loved her to death, we gave each other promises. She wanted to get married, have kids and a family together. We even decided on the names of our kids a month before the break up.
I recently learned that she moved on just in three monthsā€¦ She is sleeping around with people, went to travels with one of the guys she is seeing. I was stupid enough to check her social media after this and saw pictures of her looking happy, and having fun. It shattered my heart. I blocked her everywhere.
We were different, our values did not align so I am grateful that it ended before we started a family. There were times she did not treat me right. I still stuck with her believing that maybe she would change. Again, it was not going to work in the long term since we did not agree in a lot of aspects in life. However, I cannot move on from her. I cannot feel the same emotions to someone else. I do not even want to get intimate with anyone else while she doesnā€™t have this problem. She is free and of course can do whatever she wants to but it hurts to see the person you thought she loved you just bouncing onto other people this fast, sharing that intimacy and emotions with others. Didnā€™t she care as much as I cared about what we had? I thought I was special to her.
I want to move on but I miss what we had, I miss her, I miss the feeling of love I had towards her. I donā€™t remember the last time I actually felt happy, my emotions are numb and all I feel is disappointment and pain every day.
People tell me to move on, but I donā€™t know how. I wanted my last breath to be with her. She chose to leave, I hated her for long for leaving but now I just feel depressed thinking Iā€™ll never have her by my side again. It hurts deep.

2024.05.20 01:44 reyavt looking for comfy, solid all arounders 200$

(apologies in adv, I have no idea how to format and am on mobile)
hello! I always like to be listening to something so I am looking for some headphones that are pretty solid all around general use. I am currently using 3 different headphones for different use cases and would like to just get 1 nice one to downsize the amount of clutter I have (they are also all starting to crap out). They would be used for gaming, music prod, enjoying music, watching media. my priorities are gaming and music prod though. I also would like to prioritize comfort, and wireless would be super super nice too (understandable if not tho)
Budget - 200$ usd but can go a bit more if the increase is pretty justifiable
Source/Amp - just into my pcs motherboard or the direct monitor thing on the focusrite solo and bonus points If I can use it with my phone (usb-c and will need to get an adapter thingy if wired). my pc has Bluetooth but unsure about latency and the codec thing.
How the gear will be used - playing games (fps/story), music production (amateucasual), enjoying music during long commutes I practically have headphones or earbuds on ALL the time so I tend to run through gear pretty quickly, I also wear glasses if that's important! I don't care about active noise cancelling but if it has it I will use it.
Preferred tonal balance - I don't have a preference, what ever is objectively good for gaming and music prod (even though it's hard to do both, I understand) I am unsure if I prefer closed or open back, I think I've only tried semi-open and closed?
Preferred music genre(s) - I listen to a lot of stuff that is not really mixed properly I'm not even gonna lie so this part might not matter as much but, I'm into bedroom bop indie stuff, hyperpop and breakcore and mathrock and EDM. I enjoy picking through drums, guitar, sub-bass and synths. I also enjoy clear cutting vocals.
Past gear experience - (kind of long, maybe annoying so feel free to skip) massdrop akg white m220 - I don't super like the stock muffs, they get pretty hot for me after long use and are in general are a bit too big for my head since the I can't adjust the band any shorter, sound pretty flat and want something a bit more fun but these are the main headphones I use when I do any music prod. I don't like the wire, it's kinda rubbery and gets tangled easily. also the muffs r like super tough and stuff which doesn't feel that good.
hyperx cloud flight - I reallyyy liked the comfort on these headphones as they didn't really have much clamping force but the audio itself had a lot left to be desired in terms of bass punch and didn't really sound good for music listening. these were my favorite though simply coz I could use them forever w out fatigue. liked that it was wireless but was USB dongled so couldn't use wireless with my phone. the battery only lasts for 30 mins after charging and almost has no padding anymore so they don't get much use anymore.
razer black shark (V2?) - comfy but gets hotter than the hyperx ones, I think the bass is better than it too but still wasn't my favorite for listening. also only lasts for 30 mins after charging. also wireless which was nice but still USB dongle.
astro a40 - these sound the nicest to me for gaming but Jesus I get so much fatigue from wearing them and hate the wire sm. it's also kinda rubbery like the m220 and gets really tangled against other cables. currently using these but really not happy w them.
30$ IEM that has an anime girl on the box I forget but a lot of rhythem game players recommend. this is the worse offender of cable tangle and I just rather not deal with them most of the time. prefer headphones to in ears too because they can get hot/sweaty over long periods. they sound very nice tho but they r the only IEMs ive tried so far.
pixel bud-A - I like these a lot but also not ideal for long period of times. I enjoy how seemless they connect to my phone/pc but these r abyssmal for gaming and I use them solely for music during commute. I like the audio but am missing a lot of the mids.
Sony wxm4 - these are soo nice but I am only borrowing them and have to return them soon but I really enjoy the comfort and lightness. However I think the noise cancelling is too aggressive and only really use for listening to music during commute. also I don't really think they sound that great when I also consider the 350$ price tag.
TLDR: using akg m220 for music prod, astro a40s for gaming, pixel bud-A/Sony wxm4 for music listening during commute but kinda hate all of them and just want 1 pair of all arounders.
RN, considering the ath-m50xBTv2 but hear it's not that comfy (which is a high priority for me) also mixed opinions on sound quality and the massdrop senhesier hd58x but unsure if they would be usable during commute and not wireless (which is less of a priority but still) would love to hear input still as I am really inexperienced with this kind of stuff. Thank you for reading and input, first big purchase for me!
