Hello, last November I was terminated from my position. Im in Utah, an at will state. I was fired via text, and not even really fired, it said “you’re water and I’m oil, wish you luck” they didn’t need to provide an explanation. I know she was upset I had another job, and in the interview agreed to 2 days a week to accommodate both jobs, that’s the reason. The reason I am asking not is because I have been denied from a job because previous employment said I faked a letter of recommendation on my resume- that is not true, I still have the email. What should I do? Is that legal??

And then create a simple forEach loop through these two variables you added for the room class. You then add these beneath the price object that is on the html page and you can follow it exactly how it's done with the first price. Just use windows + . to get the emoji keyboard if you use windows and there's a symbols tab at the top and there's a currency category below. This part is the easiest one for writing code here.

That's all you need for this course right here. I think it's less work than D288 and even D287 once you understand what you must do. However, it takes time to learn new concepts like multithreading. I am suing a previous employer due to wrongful termination, unsafe work conditions, which I reported and was ignored, resulting in the unsafe conditions affecting my own health for over a year. I can only say so much, but I have a strong case because all communications were documented and even though the employer lied, state agencies investigated their statements and found them to be not true. They lied and said that I quit when they actually fired me for voicing my concerns and reporting them to the facility DR, as a am a healthcare professional and patients had a specific disease, very contagious, which they refused to acknowledge even after I showed proof. They fired me for reporting this despite the patients being sick and needing medical treatment, and to not report this would be against the laws set forth for my specific license.
Anyways, I’m having trouble figuring out how to draft the intent to sue letter without going into great detail. I understand I need to furnish some type of proof, which I have a lot, but I keep saying too much, or not enough, and I’m going in circles at this point. I have medical records, records from state agencies, and proof in emails/messages that they recklessly sent me not thinking anyone would consider taking legal action, where they are blunt about firing me and the reasons.
I know I have a strong case, and I am unsure of how to draft my intent to sue, and also lost as to how much I should ask for. This condition caused me to be unable to work for many months and I understand I can go through workers comp but they also wrongfully fired me and I don’t feel like jumping through hoops while they mess with me as they have private insurance. I quit my job of several years to work for this company and within a month was fired for doing my job and not hiding things like they wanted me to.
What type of proof is considered being efficient at meeting the burden of proof for a civil case in Ohio? How much should I include, and should my letter detailing the situation be separate from the intent to sue letter? Should I include all of my records? I want them to understand I have a strong case because I am sure they will be found liable by a jury if it goes that way. But, I’d rather just settle quickly because I am very busy and am actually studying for my LSAT as I decided to go a different way after my experience with this employer. It cost me about $5,000 out of pocket, lost maybe $15k in wages, and myself and family are still seeing specialists due to this issue. Though it seems as if we are nearly recovered a year later.
Is it reasonable to ask for $20k? What proof should I include, and how detailed should my explanation be? Should I address this to the company by their Ohio business name or their contact information/representative off of the Ohio business name search records? Should I include specific names etc? This may end up a little long, I feel like this seems like a good place where I can post my experiences and the community here seems kind, but the TL/DR of it is:
-How do y'all stay grounded in the mundane when working with entities that can be so intense?
-As of right now I've only been making offerings to Lucifuge Rofocale, I used the Dukante sigil once, which felt interesting, and I've been getting a lot of synchronicities in every day life.
-The connection has started off intense out the gate, but I am fighting a people pleasing nature and the ecstasy of feeling connected to my spiritual side again. From what I've reading about Lucifuge, he is demanding of those he works with in that he doesn't like his time wasted, and it's bringing up old fears of being good enough and worry about disappointing him/losing the connection. No one is really specific about what demanding means.
-I had told my boyfriend about Lucifuge the other night, and he had made some somewhat disrespectful joke about his name and a similarity to Lucifer's name, and when he was in the living room while I was in the bedroom a short while later, he was trying to clean his Mary Jane pipe by smacking it with a lighter (something he claims he had done before) and the side of the lighter blew out and made a huge bang. Yes, there was a mundane explanation for it, but the timing felt like a "I don't suffer abuse." I ended up apologizing for what my boyfriend said and so did he, and things seemed fine after that, but it was still a very intense moment.
-If any of you happen to have a history with PTSD and abuse, how do you let yourself be vulnerable with such a powerful spirit when old fears (and maybe old behaviors) keep cropping up?

Background info if y'all so desire, as well as other little points and maybe some questions thrown in:
I have been inclined toward witchcraft for about 20ish years since I was 11, started getting a bit more serious about it the last few years but not as serious as I would like. I had a negative experience in 2017 when I was working with Lilith (I was SAed by a man who I had considered a friend at the time) that sent me into a mental health crisis and I cut off my ties with Lilith poorly after that. The way I handled it sucked, I blamed the experience on her even though it was 100% the man's fault (obviously, looking back I was not well mentally for obvious reasons, but even still). I plan on giving her an apology offering soon, not so much to work with her again but because it feels right. Her energy was always wonderful, albeit a little intense, and I feel like I messed things up bad. But, I digress from my point.
After that whole thing, I never thought that I would end up drawn to Demonolatry until the last 6 months, really. I started researching Infernals for a personal project of mine and wanted to know more about them to make certain aspects of it more real, and I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole.
It feels like a whirlwind, but I got a message from Lucifer sometime at the end of 2023 through a reader that I've gone to before and it seemed really positive. Fast forward a little, I had seen Lucifuge Rofocale's sigil months ago and thought it was weird how it was the same that Mephistopheles uses, but then didn't think any more of it. That was the extent of that.
Maybe a month ago, I had been reached out to by Belial, but didn't feel inclined to work with him so nothing came of that.
This week on I wanna say Wednesday, I decided to contact Lucifuge Rofocale and Lucifer (because it felt right at the time), and the energy was *intense*. I had been getting some signs to do this, and it felt right at the time. There was an intense feeling of heat and some clairaudience involved. I had a really positive tarot reading as a means of divination, BUT I did pull the three of swords for working with Lucifuge, essentially that working with him might involve pain. I also got a reading from a reading who I regularly get readings from (who has been wildly accurate before), and he said something to a similar effect. He mentioned that Lucifuge has been around my energy before, and that working with him will center around finance and duty (two things I need to work on), but that sometimes entities will mold people as though they are clay into an image that they see fit for them, and to be aware of that because it doesn't work well for some people. He also mentioned that there would be pain. (I want to believe that that is shadow work, as I had a shadow work experience that evening and a reading that indicated as much.)
I think between some old people pleasing tendencies, and seeing what everyone has written about him not working well with beginners, despite my experience (I do have experience in polarity therapy and reiki too, so I'm not new to energy, at least), I've been riddled with self-doubt and the need to prove myself even though it's only been three or four days. To the point that Loki (who I work with here and there) popped up to remind me to relax and mellow out (and to make me laugh).
I also got some pretty immediate small results without even asking for anything, like someone randomly sending me a little money and a check I've been waiting on finally getting printed. I had a deep emotional release that felt like shadow work. I got guided to go on a walk in the woods and had a beautiful experience. I've had some visuals and been woken up. I had a beautiful experience sitting with his energy with the Dukante sigil last night. But again, it's been like 3 or 5 days. I'm simultaneously thrilled, but I hate the anxiety cropping up that I'm not going to be good enough and that I have to follow the signs to the letter to please him, even when those signs might actually be me reading them wrong. (Example: Getting signs to look into a school when in reality it might be for something else that is *related* to that because I don't even know that that type of school is a career that I would want.)
I felt very ungrounded a lot of today, and I just wanna know what y'all do to ground when you form a new and intense connection, and how to let yourself just enjoy the ride and not get too wound up. Also, if any of you happen to have a history with PTSD and abuse, how do you let yourself be vulnerable with such a powerful spirit when old fears (and maybe old behaviors) keep cropping up? I honestly think these are cropping up to teach me to work through them, but that doesn't stop the feelings.
Anyone who has had experiences with Lucifuge Rofocale, thoughts would be welcomed. What has happened to me so far has felt very protective, very boundary pushing, and very beautiful, but it has also been very intense and a little intimidating. When you read things about a demon like "*any* distrust can be taken as a deep disrespect, which he does not tolerate" and you have C-PTSD from abuse, sometimes those statements hit really hard, probably harder than they might mean and it makes you a bit skittish that you're about to fuck up at any second. (I have stuff to work through and a road ahead of me, I know, which is why I want to stay grounded because with the triggers has come beauty so I don't wanna just give up on this.)
Related but unrelated: This morning in my head "Valak" kept coming up when I was trying to think of Lucifuge's name as I was just waking up/half asleep. I don't entirely know how to take that. I don't feel as though I would gel with Valak's energy at this time, so it was very strange to me.

Arizona’s brother died, then she was in a shooting, then a car accident, then her best friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer, then the plane crash (third disaster in a row), then her leg (she was the ONLY one permanently disabled from the plane crash), then Mark (and around this time Nick probably died too), then a divorce, then the custody battle… yikes!
Amelia was kinda shunned by her family, turned to drugs (again), fiancé died next to her, baby born with no brain, brother died, relapsed… AGAIN, family didn’t come to her wedding, divorce, got left by all the people she cared about, etc…
Callie was cheated on by George, divorced, then Erica left her, her family didn’t accept her, her ex husband died, then she was in a shooting, then her gf left her, then she was in a car accident and got a tbi and almost lost her baby and her life, mom didn’t come to her wedding, plane crash, lost her best friend/baby daddy, shunned by her wife, cheated on AGAIN, divorced AGAIN, lost custody
And Jo’s childhood was just a mess, like foster care and abandoned and stuff, crazy abusive husband, we all know what happened when she met up with her mom and stuff, husband left her through a LETTER, etc

I'm on a Mac and I've figured out how to install homebrew, I've installed yt-dlp to my knowledge (which is very limited). And now I'm confused as to what to do or how to run in it in terminal (super limited knowledge of terminal). I have read the github guide but I am lost and slightly overwhlemed. I've tried looking for videos about how to do this on youtube and couldn't find anything for mac users.

My Brother just got fired at his part time job and the whole situation is so bizarre I can't believe it.
Description of events heard from my brother, can't tell if there is more going on in the background that I don't know about. This is the information I was told -
Brother (18) has a part time job where he was called during the middle of his shift to talk to HR. HR asked about a comment on a social media post made by a coworker (they also go to the same school), and asked why he made it. The comment was 'count your days'. He said it was an inside joke and showed that the coworker even liked the comment last night. HR said its a harmful comment and that because of the zero tolerance policy they have to let him go. He works at an 'At will' state.
More background: When prodded about why the coworker might have reported him (I think that's the most likely) Brother swears that even up until this morning coworker was friendly and joking with him all day. He swears that there was no fights/arguments and he is as confused as we are.
Of course, Ik that he is not getting this job back and that's not the point of the post. I am genuinely perplexed and want to understand a few things -

1. Can HR fire anybody for comments? So often we comment stuff like 'watch out' or 'be careful' on friends post. What constitutes a proper investigation to understand the context or are they not liable to to even investigate? I guess I am appalled that they can hear allegations from one person (whoever it might have came from) and then fire someone without any written termination letter within 5 minutes.

A few years ago, someone on AO3 wrote a story wherein every single member of the canon Class 1-A was a former villain or vigilante, and they had been into a UA program meant for the reformation of youths whom had fallen to villainy and vigilantism.
The story was well written, and the premise was unique. It is not terribly surprising, then, that it spawned a whole genre on AO3 centering around Class 1-A as a class of reforming criminals, and the struggles they faced in their road redemption at UA.
After reading a few of these stories, I began to wonder if there was such a story starring Class 1-B, instead of Class 1-A. I suspected not, and a quick search revealed that this was indeed the case, unfortunately.
With that said, the following is potential outline for this concept, open to anyone interested.
In this world, UA's Hero Course only has a single class, Class 1-A, containing all of its canon members. The rest of the classes are moved up by a letter, so General Studies starts at 1-B, the Support Course starts at 1-E, and the Business Course starts at 1-H. If you're wonder why none of the members of canon!Class 1-B made it into AU!Class 1-A, the answer is that none of them took the exam.
From here on, the events mostly follow canon for a while. Aside from the Cavalry Battle in the Sports Festival Arc, canon!Class 1-B wasn't really a part of the story until the Joint Training Arc. Even then, you could easily replace canon!1-B's role in the Sports Festival with a particularly determined group of General Studies students. All of this is to say that anyone writing this could just these first few arcs, or sum them up in a few chapters.
The story starts in earnest when 1-A leaves to go to the training camp. As in canon, they are attacked by the LoV. Unlike canon, however, the Vanguard Action Squad is either replaced with or joined by 20 young villains, the members of canon!Class 1-B. In this timeline, All for One decided to start a pet project; he gathered 20 promising and troubled youths, and began to train them as villains. He chose that number, 20, specifically to mock UA's Hero Course.
All of Class 1-A would have to fight here, instead of a few like in canon. They basically have a massive battle against a group of villains which is essentially a dark mirror of themselves, somewhat akin to the various Dark Guild arcs in Fairy Tail. In the end, Class 1-A manages to persevere and defeat AfO trainees, though Bakugou is still kidnapped. What few members of canon!Class 1-B manage to escape are rounded up in the raid on the LoV's hideout in Kamino.
Afterwards, the story gets back on it's normal track for 1-A with the Overhaul arc. That ultimately doesn't matter, however, as the focus of the story shifts to the 20 captured young villains. Nezu has been considering a class dedicated to reforming young criminals for years, and he decides that this seems to be the perfect opportunity. Nezu approaches each of them while they are in custody, and tells them that he has a proposition; join UA's new Villain Reformation Course, and he will do all that he can to ensure their futures. With no other real options apparent to them, the 20 villains agree.
From here, the focus of the story would shift to the newly formed class. I'll just call them by the next available letter, which, due to the other classes shifting up, is 1-K. This could be played for comedy or drama, depending on the author's tastes, but the story would presumably center around the newly formed Class 1-K's awkward and, at first, begrudging attempts to integrate into a high school setting, and their struggles therein.
Vlad King, one of the few teachers willing to give this class a chance, would be play the role of the eternally beleaguered pseudo-parental figure desperately trying to rein in, guide, and support his chaotic charges, while Nezu just cackles at this misfortune in the background.
Bonus points for Class 1-A somehow missing all of this happening in the background, and thus freaking out when their former enemies suddenly appear before them at the beginning of the Joint Training Exercise.

Hello everyone! Just got into Helldivers 2 today, and it seems pretty fun, but it looks like I need a bit of assistance getting started.
Thus far, I've only done trivial (lv. 1) difficulty missions, but I haven't been able to finish any. The big issue seems to be the extraction point. I've been playing with a friend, and the moment one of us finishes the mission, no matter the type, a huge swarm of bugs erupts from the ground around both of our locations, and continues to emerge no matter how many we kill or how many strikes we call in. Even getting to the extraction point is difficult, but by the time we're there, the area is so completely filled with bugs, that it's impossible to even move close enough to use the terminal, and calling in strikes on top of the area doesn't give us enough of a break to enter the commands before the bugs are swarming us again. The chargers have been particularly nasty, and from what I've read, shouldn't be showing up on trivial difficulty, but I might be wrong about that.
We tried looking up some guides and everything we see seems to have an order of magnitude less bugs then ours vat this difficulty, and it looks like you should be able to get the bugs to stop spawning, but we haven't had any luck with that.
Any advice? Definitely seems like we need to get a little better, but it also feels like we're missing something.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It looks like it may have been a bug after all (Pun fully intended). During the last mission, the game crashed during one of the huge swarms of bugs, and after that, the game wouldn't load at all, and the friend I was playing with experienced the same issue. We both redownloaded & installed the game, and now the levels seem much more manageable. Wish I had taken better notes of the issue while it was occurring, but fingers crossed for the future, and thanks again everyone!

My Brother just got fired at his part time job and the whole situation is so bizarre I can't believe it.
Description of events heard from my brother, can't tell if there is more going on in the background that I don't know about. This is the information I was told -
Brother (18) has a part time job where he was called during the middle of his shift to talk to HR. HR asked about a comment on a social media post made by a coworker (they also go to the same school), and asked why he made it. The comment was 'count your days'. He said it was an inside joke and showed that the coworker even liked the comment last night. HR said its a harmful comment and that because of the zero tolerance policy they have to let him go. He works at an 'At will' state.
More background: When prodded about why the coworker might have reported him (I think that's the most likely) Brother swears that even up until this morning coworker was friendly and joking with him all day. He swears that there was no fights/arguments and he is as confused as we are.
Of course, Ik that he is not getting this job back and that's not the point of the post. I am genuinely perplexed and want to understand a few things -

1. Can HR fire anybody for comments? So often we comment stuff like 'watch out' or 'be careful' on friends post. What constitutes a proper investigation to understand the context or are they not liable to to even investigate? I guess I am appalled that they can hear allegations from one person (whoever it might have came from) and then fire someone without any written termination letter within 5 minutes.
   
2. Will this show up on his employment records?

I keep trying to install mod packs & no matter what I just can’t get them to fully install. I follow guide to the letter. Been trying to get Eldergeam or Lorerim installed with zero luck. I keep getting errors. I’ve done complete reinstalls of Steam, Skyrim & Wabbajack. Nothing is saved in program files. There’s all in C:\Wabbajack or C:\Steam
Last error I got was unable to download data_skyrim - meshes0.bsa
Its just annoying because I wanna try some cool mod lists but I guess I’ll stick to Vortex

First stop is getting my visa transferred - which is the wrinkle. I recently was laid off - HR didn't cancel my visa, which expires in July. They made it out as if they did me a favour laying me off by not cancelling my visa, but as far as I know it's actually illegal for them to do that (?) (I have release letter in hand and work permit cancellation complete for next job)
Has anyone had a similar wrinkle? Will immigration make a fuss about transferring my visa that HR did not cancel (to allow me to get a new job) because I am no longer employed by the visa issuer? In the "New Passport" thread, someone mentioned that sometimes PSB wants a contract and other documents to support transferring to a new passport; I don't have a contract any more.
Similar wrinkle with the residence permit but I need to cross the visa bridge first!
Anyone go through the new passport hurdles in the middle of their job hunt? Worst case scenario is applying for a "Stay Visa" rather than transferring my old visa to new passport?

Okay so, I have heard differing opinions on this. Some say don’t pay too much attention to the functions because it can make things more confusing and a lot of the info is unreliable anyway. Others swear by the functions or a combination of the two.
If I break it down by letter (ignoring functions) I would say I am about 60-65% introvert, 80% intuitive, 55-60% feeling, and 65% perceiving. Functionally I am an Intuitive dominant type, probably Ne because I’m indecisive af and see too many options that I struggle to narrow down. I relate a lot to Fi but can also be logical and argumentative.
I really don’t relate to being an overly emotional soft/weak INFP or a social butterfly type ENFP. I relate to INFJ stereotypes the most but having a long term vision and knowing what path to take? Not so much. I am better at guiding others. I don’t get as caught up in the details as Ti users I know so doubt I am INTP. What is the best way to go about this?

About a year ago i was terminated from Amazon on what i thought was wrongful termination. I contacted a lawyer and was told there was nothing i could do but perhaps file for workers comp and they gave me the whole “your job took a toll on your body you can be compensated” talk. I reluctantly gave them my info and e-signed some documents (regretfully now) left it at that.
They then called back and i did not answer but their voicemail said “if i was still interested to call back” and well I did not call back for i was not interested.
Fast forward many months later i started receiving letters in the mail about a deposition and QME appointments. I reached out to “my lawyers” and wouldn’t receive a call back from their receptionist. I left voicemails, found their email on their site and emailed them all about withdrawing me from whatever it was they had submitted me in.
Radio silence. I figured it went away but then i received yet another deposition letter. I contacted the firm again and finally someone called me back and i explained to them i wanted to drop the claim. They tried to convince me to not drop it but i didn’t budge. I followed up with a text message (so i had proof) saying i wanted to drop the claim. No response to the text, I figured it finally went away
I have received yet ANOTHER letter in the mail about another QME appointment THREE MONTHS after contact with the lawyer and now the letter claims failure to appear will result in a $500 fee.
$500 fee to who? Why should I even ask, of course it’s for me.
How the heck do i make this go away? Can someone please help me!

Where do I begin. For the purpose of this post, I will use fictious names and locations as it is ongoing, and out of respect (even though she doesn't deserve any)
My name is Daniel. I am 35 years old, and i am dying. I have a disease called systemic sclerosis. I am currently on a supplemental disability plan, until I get approved for SSI (social Security). Until then, my income is about 4K a month. I own a home but after child support and bills, NOT INCLUDING gas, food, haircuts, medical appointments, and or emergencies like my fridge just broke. (which i never go out) I am left with $260 that has to last me a month. I also have three children who I have to take care of half the time per the 50/50 agreement.
Recently, I found out my oldest, (who is 13) is not biologically mine. I decided to look into it as I had concerns for a while since my divorce as her cheating was very rampant. I also had caught her in 2017 with a man in my house, which is what prompted the divorce. But FL being a no fault state, doesn't matter. I also had to pay child support since the beginning and WHILE LEGALLY Married since 2010 because she had applied for financial support like food stamps and government assistance then. I know what your thinking. Why didnt you stop it then? I tried. You cant take yourself off child support. I also never grew up with a father and wanted that two-parent household. I don't run from responsibilities, like he did. Its how I was raised. Anyways, I married her, tried to do the right thing, she lied numerous times. she never worked, and I worked 90 plus hours a week. To look into her cheating, was impossible at the time as I was never home. and to busy providing for my family.
fast forward to now. My disease started to become worse and over three years; it didn't reveal itself until last year fully to actually pinpoint what this was. for instance, I had in 2019 pain behind my eyes and horrible headaches to the point that I thought I had MS. following year, I had trouble swallowing for 3 months. next year itching in the skin for three months. But prior, I had visited various doctors to see what was going on, each time a flare up then would last 3 to four months, which again, when you don't understand what's going on, you need to take time off to go see doctors, run tests, but this illness was and still is very elusive. with that being said I had 5 jobs since its first flare up till last year to continue to support my family and to pay child support. as of last year. I'm having trouble moving on certain days, breathing and acid reflux and muscle atrophy. (disease progression) especially when this is going on, it worsens everything as this is flared up. I was working under the table to try and make ends meet as I was paying child support still. I should add that the child support with 50/50 custody was $1029 for three kids cause I was making six figures at the time of divorce in 2018. Last year however, I couldn't work anymore, and filed for disability.
In june of last year, I had asked Susan, to get the children school supplies, (which she never does) as I was still paying at the time $1029 in child support. She said she didnt have the money despite now making 70k and her new BF living with her and is working whom she cheated on me with. With me working under the table, I bought them clothes, haircuts, school supplies (ive done every year) but then, I noticed she went on vacation to puerto rico and got a giant leg tattoo. At the time, I had already known what I had, and I asked myself why the heck am I doing this? So i turned to an attorney to get it modified. Again, this is June 20th to be exact of last year. My lawyer, stated that this was only going to be a 90 day turn around for the temporary modification then we will go for the final.
Since then, I have gone for a DNA test. I had to know. I am dying. I wanted to know. And you may judge me for this. but i have filed for disablement for paternity, meaning I am removing myself from the birth certificate. However, in the state of Florida, a mother can deny this and so can the courts. before you judge me, I have many reasons none of which have to do with him other then his mental disability (Aspergers) This illness, as days go by takes more and more from me. As previously aforementioned, I am left with 250 a month. I cannot go get a drs appointment pay for groceries or start planning my funeral which I will start making payments on soon. He also eats three times the amount that we all collectively do (Not his fault) but I have paid enough both mentally and financially. He also has trouble communicating as my suspicions is, that he was born of incest (gross) which is why I was 'chosen' to be his father at the time. Before you ask how do you know? Lets just say she had an uncle 'leave' during that time.
anyways, in February, I had the temporary modification hearing for child support and needless to say it was a circus. My doctor was subpoenaed to be there by my attorneys request to better my argument, even though I felt we didn't need her, she advised me to have my doctor there. Well, he attorney attacked my doctor and me for an hour and 40 mins when the court case was only supposed to go for an hour. He said "you saw another dr Max so and so and they said it was all in your head" (again I had flare ups on a illness that hadnt revealed itself correctly since last year). So there argument was that I was doctor seeking to avoid child support. After I have paid for 13 years never missing a payment. Her lawyer also targeted people who are living with me. Now I'll admit that I said they were friends which is true but how else can I pay for my attorney? Cant work, cant sell drugs, cant rob a bank? So they want to take there income into consideration. BS. She also hired a private investigator to watch me exercise outside and stated that because I can exercise, I can work..... Ok. Where's the 23 hours of the rest of the day watching me in pain. or when do you have me on video of a flare up from this terminal illness? (that's what I wanted to say)
Although I was granted the temporary modification, of $209, I left the court thinking wow, this woman can cheat, commit paternity fraud, not give two craps about our children, live with her mom in a section 8 home, and here I am doing whatever I can and I've done nothing wrong but be lied to and this is how my government, my country treats me? No wonder men my age dont have children this is insane. The paternity issue wasn't even brought up they said that this isnt the place for this and that the disestablishment will be another trial for those wondering. My lawyer only spoke for 5 mins. Asking her about her income cause thats the only thing that has changed since 2018 since she didnt work at the time. Other than that, it was an attack on me and my disease arguing my ability to work.
after leaving that, I didnt eat for 96 hours. I have since been crying nonstop. Compilating suicide. I am already heart broken about my son not being mine. Sure does a terminal illness make me said, no question everyday. But a life wasted on another? Cause I decided to be a man and take up responsibility? thats soul crushing. And to say "well, there is a big chance the courts will deny your request' thats BS. If i go to prison because I was accused of a robbery for 13 years, and DNA evidence proves I wasnt there, I get out of jail and can sue. This is no different. If anything, DNA evidence needs to be more of a factor in family law than in almost every court of law if not as equally important. My bad for not investigating her infidelity not only in the beginning but also in the end. How about not being a POS. sorry rant over

Her mom and dad smoke in the section 8 house, kids reek of cigarette smoke and marijuana, all day. they dont take showers there, they were hand me down clothes, they live in the garage shared with there mother, that isn't air conditioned. and he makes only a few thousand less than I do a month. She stated in court that she pays her mom $500 in rent which is BS, she is only doing that now so that she makes herself look bad. I know she is doing pills, like oxy and what not. Id love to prove it.
after the temp hearing, in april, I had to go to court to contest my drivers license suspension as I hadn't paid child support since, august of last year. again, there is no way, I can pay my bills, feed my children, go to the doctor, pay my lawyer to end all of this BS and pay the current child support amount. and again, this final hearing is still not set yet. So they intercepted my tax return, even though the temporary modification was approved, the final is what gets it retro backed to the date of filing, so they took, a much needed 5500 tax return from me. I needed that cause one of the issues I failed to mention as well, hurricane Ian has destroyed my home and I'm still going through that process too. not to mention I am on payment plans with Mayo clinic and other various medical facilities. (no one cares) but the interest that accrues, makes it impossible to catch up. also, Florida department of rev is overstepping I feel, and asking for medical info to be sent to them as well as updated doctors letters to be sent saying that I am still on disability.
a few weeks ago, I got an email from my lawyer having a withdrawal notice from her lawyer. in the withdrawal, he stated that he cannot represent her, due to something she may have withheld or lied about (more or less wasn't worded like that but you can tell). In feb court appearance they never produced the PI report, or videos, they had medical info they shouldn't have had, and they had very outlandish comments about my lifestyle. So my lawyer filed immediately a motion to compel. meaning, we want to see everything you have on my client. this was filed almost immediately after court appearance on feb 20th. Susan has failed to provide any updated info requested by my attorney so on june 18th, we have that upcoming hearing.
in the mean time, I have sent my lawyer, a very heavily requested topics, such as "where did they get my medical records, if those were lies, what are the consequences if any"? What did exercising have to do with any of this despite various drs saying he has to or he will get worse.
I know wat you must be thinking, what about your oldest, how can you do that to him. Please listen. This woman has taken everything from me. And i mean everything but the roof over my head. I am seeing a therapist to help with the suicidal thoughts. it isnt enough. the reality of it is, I chose to be loyal and it bit me in the butt. This disease will rob me of everything, my teeth will fall out ( I had 5 cavities last time I went to the dentist) I haven't had a cavity since I was 30 and even then I was suspicious. And I am brushing 5 time s a day to save them. My skin is tightening, and my arms and muscles are wasting. I will literally be left with nothing. My organs will also start to harden, and I will have to start getting around the clock care.
I forgot to mention they (child support) recently, sent a letter to SSI (social security) saying that they would garnish my SSI before I even got it, totaling $1029. the incorrect amount. I sent this to my lawyer and she is looking into it. But it shows that child support will overstep and breaks every law or freedom you may think you have. I DO take care of my children. if they need a haircut i do it, school supplies clothes, anything I do it. And I do it, cause she wont. What I want to leave you with, is that woman can be dead beats too. Child support was designed to have woman off of government subsidized programs like section 8 food stamps and what not. Also to make the man pay for their children man or woman I should say, I know this. I am not running from my obligation. I just want Susan, to have to pay for what's she's done to me and the kids.

I recently finished reading Cicero's Orator. It is a rather wide-ranging treatise that Cicero dedicated to his young friend, Marcus Brutus, in which he lays out his personal vision of the ideal orator. He touches on many subjects, even prose rhythm, but I thought his brief remarks about the contemporary pronunciation of Latin were the most interesting. Since I know how interested readers of this subreddit are in Latin pronunciation, I thought I'd share them here with my translations. Enjoy!

Hiatus:
In the first passage, Cicero contrasts the use of hiatus or, from the opposite perspective, the prevalence of syaloepha, the blending of vowels, in Greek and Latin. When he talks about a "collision of vowels," he means a word ending with a vowel placed next to a word beginning with one, both of which were pronounced.

Omission of final s and phonetic change:
Cicero also notes the frequent omission of the final s in various words. The examples he cites below are all in the ablative plural. Multimodis in particular is known from Plautus, and even Lucretius uses it (1.895), so we know that the middle i, derived from multis, was short. I wonder whether that also the case in the other examples.
Cicero regards the phonetic change of due- to be- (as in duellum to bellum) as a similar phenomenon. His remarks about the contraction of words with -xill- are not in fact correct, because those words are in fact diminuitives (vexillum, orig. "a little cloth," from velum, for instance).

It seems that, at least in Cicero's time, the syncopated forms of the perfect stem of verbs were conventional, as well as the shortened from of the perfect 3rd person plural in (-ere for -erunt). I wonder whether the form with -erunt made a comeback as Latin was learned by non-native speakers or perhaps from literary Latin. Certain Romance forms (e.g. Spanish amaron, Italian amarono, French aimèrent from amarunt) seem to descend from it.

"How about the way they [sc. proponents of analogy] forbid us to say nosse ['to know'] and iudicasse ['to have judged'] but order us to say novisse and iudicavisse? As if we didn't know in this instance that it is correct to say the full word and conventional to say the shortened one. Thus Terence uses both: 'whoa, you didn't recognize [noras] your kinsman?' And the same author a little bit later: 'You recognized [noveras] Stilpo, I said.' Sient ['they may be'] is the full form, sint the shortened one. You're allowed to use both. Hence, in the same place: 'Later, they realize how dear they are [sint] from lacking them, and how great dominions must be [sient] retained.' Nor would I criticize scripsere alii rem ['others wrote the subject'], and I know that scripserunt ['they wrote'] is more accurate, but I gladly follow convention, which indulges the ears."

Hidden quantity and aspiration:
Cicero reveals that the i in the prefix in- is long before s and f, and similarly the o in con-. The introduction of aspirated consonants (such as the ch in pulcher) also was a change recent enough that Cicero avoided it until later in life.

"What's more elegant that this, which isn't the product of nature but some kind of teaching: we say indoctus ['unlearned'] with the first letter short, but insanus ['insane'] with it long; inhumanus ['uncultivated'] short, infelix ['unfortunate'] long; and, to be brief, in words in which the first letters are those in sapiens and felix, in is pronounced long; in all others, short. Likewise: conposuit, consuevit, concrepuit, confecit ['it settled, became accustomed, made a noise, completed']. Consult Truth: she will criticize it; refer the matter to the ears: they will approve. Ask why: they will say they like it that way. Speech should gratify the pleasure of the ears. I myself, since I knew that our ancestors spoke in such a way that they never used aspiration [i.e. h] except with vowels, I used to say pulcros ['handsome men'], Cetegos ['Cethegi'], triumpos ['triumphs'], Cartaginem ['Carthage']; but at some point--and late, at that--the truth [i.e., the 'correct' pronunciation] was wrested from me by the abuse of my ears and I yielded my manner of speaking to the people, though I kept my knowledge for myself."

Final s again:
And last but not least, Cicero notes the omission of final s in the Latin of an earlier generation. Evidently, it was fairly common to drop terminal s in general, but in contrast to the examples with which we began (like multimodis), the omission occurred in single words, not in one of two in the same number and case.

Thus, it wasn't a faux-pas in verse, which now the new poets avoid. We used to speak like this: qui est omnibu' princeps ['who is foremost of all'], not omnibus princeps, and vita illa dignu' locoque ['worthy of that life and station'], not dignus..."
