1977\* - The Jackson go back to Sigma Sound Studios in Philidalphia to record their new album, Goin' Places, with Gamble & Huff
1978\* - The Jacksons record the Destiny album in Los Angeles after recording song demos at their Hayvenhurst home studio
1979 - The Jackson perform at Milwaukee County Stadium (closed- 2000) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on their Destiny tour
1979 - (June 1 -3) Michael, Quincy Jones & Bruce Swedien complete the recording & mixing of the Off The Wall album Westlake Studios in Los Angeles.
1979* - The Jacksons start recording the Triumph Album.
1982\* - Michael would come across a studio demo produced by John Barnes and request a meeting.
In an interview with The MJCast podcast, John recalled their first meeting:
“Michael said I heard you can make your own sounds and play them. How many sounds can you make? And, I responded, ‘How much time do you have?’”
The meeting lasted a few hours and was the beginning of a friendship and musical partnership with Barnes being hired as a core member of Michael Jackson’s team. Their partnership would continue until Michael's passing in 2009

1989\- Michael goes back to Westlake studio with Matt Forger and Bill Bottrell. He meets Brad Buxer who will work with him until 2008. Together they work on new songs for a compilation named *DECADE 1979-1989
Quincy Jones is not part of this project. "Black Or White" and "Heal The World" are among the first songs worked on.
1991 - David Ruffin, a member of The Temptations, dies of a drug overdose

It was found that Ruffin was peniniless and Jackson contacted Swanson Funeral Home in Detroit to make arrangements to cover a large portion of the June 10th funeral costs. He also sends a heart-shaped arrangement of carnations to the New Bethel Baptist Church in Detroit with the note, "With Love, from Michael Jackson"

Jonathan Morrish of Sony Music issues a statement informing the media, that Michael will not be performing due to the illness of his son, Prince:
"Prince suffered a seizure early Saturday due to a high temperature. This is the third seizure over the last year"
He added that the concert meant so much to Michael but,
"he is an artist like the others, but also a parent"

Hi.
I "play" ONI for a few years, but not rly well.
I have like many others 100 of restarts. But i get better or more organised every time.
But since the last try, i See that i am bored of digging out another slime.
Also my problem is, i never had geyser who help me in the beginning like cool slush Geysir.
And since the "spaced out" dlc i am not sure, what i should start. "Classic" with dlc on, the smaller asteroids or even dlc off.
I know the basics until i a little spom. But i cant get to Plastic or oil.
I managed to to do a fully automated hatch Ranch with drowning Chamber with conveyors to the kitchen.
Which asteroid or cluster would u recommend to reach plastic early? I feel that i am always "too late" for glossy dreckos.

If you reached the high double-digits, congratulations! You should probably eat more. A lack of food is unhealthy.
But, let's say you're on a diet. I was, once. Before everything went to shit, I was a fat fuck stowed away in the back of someone else's house, glued to their computer, scouring social media and getting angry over the pruned, fabricated, perfect lives everyone else seemed to have. I was angry - so angry that I decided that I wanted to do something about it, so - maybe like you - I went on a diet. My goal? Get thin, get control of my life, wrest it away from the clutches of impending doom, make something of my time on this planet, maybe find a purpose.
Life, however, is funny - or cruel, depending on how full your glass is. Whenever I tried dieting, something always happened to get in the way. My favorite haunt started having trivia nights - unlimited nachos. Jake, a good friend of mine, had a punch card for discounts on sub sandwiches. I once got a piece of mail that told me I won a lifetime supply of corn chips (a scam, thankfully). I started to think that life had it out for me.
Little did I know, life had it out for everyone.
We lost electricity first. As the heat waves picked up, our access to cool air was cut short. Humankind started dropping like flies, by the thousands and even more in the deserts. Some of us were able to adapt before things got too bad, but when the water started to disappear, sweating was akin to suffering.
When we reached a fever pitch in our panic, we got creative. We started breaching bunkers, ripping the rich out of their hovels and taking everything they had. Some were so desperate that they took the slogan "eat the rich" to where you're probably thinking they did. Magic trick time. Were you thinking cannibalism? What a freak.
Not you; them. They did take it literally.
Food got scarce. Starvation and dehydration set in. We lost communication with people in distant places and it felt like everything was truly coming to an end.
Do you like anecdotes?
One time, I was on scavenging duty with a friend of mine. Not Jake, unfortunately - he died two days into the apocalypse after getting hit by a bus - but this guy? He was alright. Anyway, we found a small mom-and-pop shop on a street corner. The face of the shop was dusty and beige, couldn't see through the windows but, somehow, it was untouched, or so we thought. When we broke the windows and slipped inside, the shelves were almost all empty.
My friend found a wrapped Twinkie and showed it to me. "Hey, look," he said, "found you a little treat, skinny."
When I tell you this Twinkie looked like a piece of shit only the Toxic Avenger would push out of his ass, I mean it. Heavily discolored, easily broken apart, and the only thing separating me from an impossibly complex stench of decay was this razor-thin wrapper. It must've sat in the heat for ages, horrendously warping from one of America's most beloved snack cakes into a gangrenous mockery of what could pass as food.
"Nah," I said, putting on a fake smile, "I'm on a diet."
It was a joke. It was supposed to be a joke, but like I said - life is funny.
Our heads both turned when we heard a loud thud across the room. Of course, we were shaken, didn't know what to expect, so we approached it cautiously, guns drawn, and when we had sight of the cause, we were stunned. Sitting on the floor on its side was a massive can of ranch beans. It must've weighed close to five or six pounds. Even crazier and more confusing? It was room temp, like it just appeared out of thin air, untouched by the heat.
I tested something a few days later. We were running out of bottled water. Somebody made a joke about drinking piss - not to me, just to another person, but I responded that I was on a diet. Fifteen minutes later, we had a group come back from scavenging with the widest smiles, dragging a full pallet of water bottles stacked six feet high on a pallet jack.
I started doing it more surreptitiously, any time that we needed to eat or drink something, and I learned that there were rules. For example, saying it multiple times in a row didn't do anything, the gift was singular. The number of people around me or the loudness of the statement didn't matter - the gifts were random in quantity. Abuse it, and the gift would come rotten or with some other risk.
Once I had a grasp on it, we lived well, at least for a time. When the radiation storms started to sweep through, a lot of people started getting sick, including me, and there was no gift for saying I was feeling ill. It was all so sudden and severe, and it took me before almost anyone else. Real bummer, if you ask me, because I never got to learn what happened to the rest of my group. Part of me hopes they made it out of that place and found a way to survive. If you happen to find them, tell them I said hello.

Basically, we did a service for this person on his property more than once. We are a pressure wash business, and he has three houses: a main house, a ranch house, and a guest house. We completed work on the ranch house and the guest house, and the last one was the main house. We told him that we would be doing a house wash on his main house with 300 psi. However, when we started, water began to pour into his garage, which is underneath the porch we cleaned. We had a verbal agreement that we could clean the porch since there was a gutter line underneath.
When the damage happened, he went underneath cut it and started to take pictures and videos of the damage. He did not mention anything about us paying for the damage and even shook my brother's hand, thanking him for the hard work. We also worked for another three days on his property, and he never mentioned that the damage needed to be covered. We sent him the invoice for the work, and after a month, he had not viewed it. We reminded him through a message that we had sent the invoice, and he asked about the $500 extra pay, which he had forgotten to add to our service. He also asked about what to do with the damage.
We basically tried to file a claim with the insurance in August regarding what happened. They tried to message him and mail papers since November, and it took him until February to respond to the claim. Unfortunately, the claim was not covered because he was trying to get a very expensive contractor, and the coverage didn't apply.
He sent us an email about releasing our insurance policy, but the adjuster told us not to do it. Since we declined the request, he asked us what the plan was. We informed him that we could cover the damage with our licensed and insured handyman, but he did not reply for 3 weeks. After sending him another email and receiving no reply, we sent a certified email about covering the damage. He then sent us this message
I received your certified letter with this same request.
Who is your handyman, what is their company name and license number?
I probably will not agree to have them make any repairs, because we completed a high end remodel of our home in 2022 using a licensed home builder. Therefore, only a builder with experience completing high end work will qualify to make the repairs. You are welcome to send someone over to bid on the repairs, but I won't agree to it unless they are a licensed contractor that does high quality work.
Additionally, You had told me that you were licensed and insured, however, your insurance company stated otherwise. They specifically stated that "there is no coverage under the insured's policy for this loss" The letter is attached. Since you refused to send me a copy of your insurance policy this has made me question your honesty in this situation.
In any case, you are still responsible for the damages that you caused. I am attaching the bid for repairing the damage, showing that you owe us $10,806.28. As you can see below and attached, I have reduced the amount that you owe by your open invoices. The cost of repairs is $10,806.28. Your invoices total $4,886.25. I have subtracted that from the cost of the repairs and now the total amount that you owe us is $5,920.03
Please let me know when I can expect to receive payment for this. If you don't plan on paying for this, let me know so I can plan accordingly.
As a side note, you presented yourself as an expert in your field and you showed up with a nice truck and professional equipment. You also claimed to be licensed and insured. Obviously I was disappointed by the extensive damage you caused to my home and the subsequent lack of insurance coverage. Biggest waste of time ever. I could have spent these 15 months genuinely learning how to do something with my life. Instead I spent it in fear of other students and what they would do to me if I didnt like them. There was a kid molested by other students which was left unaddressed by staff. There were fights and jumping incidents regularly. It was also extremely depressing. From the get go they cut off all contact with family or friends. after between 2-6 months you can talk to family 15 minutes a week. after about a year for most you can talk to a friend 15 minutes a week. Some people are ok with this but a lot of people need those supports from friends and family. They are told to seek support from peers but these "peers" dont provide support. Most of them just bully and embarrass the student and the few that do help do it because it looks good on them to move on in the program. I met 3 kids who were 100% genuine over the course of my stay. Towards the end of your stay the program 100% of the time attempts to make your parents pay more money to send them to their aftercare program stating that the kids will not be ok and will relapse and die if they dont give them more money. Their aftercare program consists of sitting in a house being handed money and cigarettes weekly and sometimes working a job. To hell with the ranch and all the people that run it taking advantage of scared parents. shame on you.

Alright here's the deal. I graduated from this program recently but will not use names of students for privacy reasons. In my experience the ranch offered about 2 beneficial things. A good pe coach who left without a given reason towards the end of my stay. And the horses in some aspects. Other than that this program is a pile of complete horse poopy. literally. One of the things is how they treat and pay the staff. It is pitiful looking at their workload and what they have to deal with and accomplished. a good majority of the staff genuinely work their asses off to try and help the students but a lot of the times it can be met with a harsh response and getting treated poorly by the students. This is to be expected in a literal rehab but the staff arent getting paid nowhere near what they should to deal with in some cases toddler tantrum level behaviors. The security of the program towards the kids is also a joke. There is drugs brought onto campus and the higher up administration doesnt do anything about it themselves. Instead they sit on their tushes and pay off the other kids with candy or a promise of a better shot at getting out of the program to go find out who did what and report back to them like some kind of spy. Aside from that the therapy is garbage. Given there are some benefits to the family therapy but two hours a week? The people here are here mostly because of family and substance issues and you spend an hour a week doing therapy with your family and over the course of your 12 month minimum stay you get 3 weekends to do "therapy" which is only about 8 hours over the course of each weekend. So over the course of your 12-18 month stay you get a little bit of family time and a whole lot of time devoted to sitting on your booty or scooping horse shit while the barassos rake in the money and suck the life out of desperate parents bank accounts. Of course its not a nonprofit though they can take this money and put it wherever they want. (real estate). The safety of the kids physically as well is just pathetic. On the regular kids will be beaten and hurt by other students and if reported usually nothing happens because its their word against theirs and the person who is more popular will win and sometimes not even because they dont want a reputation of a violent facility. They hide the truth from the parents and manipulate them into keeping their kids longer than nesecary and try to force them into their aftercare programs. Peter Doyle has some pretty big arms though. Also dingo is a punk ass horse.

I(f18) work at a diner franchise in my town. I'm 8 weeks pregnant.(Keep in mind they are well aware I'm pregnant) We had a visiting GM(general manager) that came down to help us out while our actual GM was on vacation. The visiting GM had asked us servers to do sidework while we were slow, which is completely fine by itself. The sidework asked of us(3 different servers on shift) was pour ranch cups,sweep/mop and clean the ice cream machine. When presented with the options I piped up and politely asked if I could do one of the other options besides ranch cups,as the smell of ranch makes me throw up(now even worse that I'm pregnant). Visiting GM then told me "well since you're so eager to not do it that's what you're gonna do. You're probably being dramatic about actually throwing up anyway. " I then re-explained that because of morning sickness I can't do it unless he's willing to risk my throwing up in front of customers. He continued to try to force me until I eventually I just flat out refused. I then went and did every other bit of sidework and the other servers very gladly did the ranch and even offered to help me with the extra sidework. I went in today and was told he talked to corporate and wanted me suspended so I am now suspended until further notice. I've been told at the end of next week they'll re-evaluate if they'd like to keep me or not. AITAH?

Just purchased a 1950s ranch style home that is mostly remodeled, expect for the garage. The walls feel like cheap wood paneling; they are warped and thin. Anyone seen this before or know what this is? Can I remove it or am I stuck with it?
