2024.05.17 12:45 The_Conscious_Saffa How does Legal Aid work?
Hi there
I’m busy with a harassment court case that keeps getting postponed. (I am the plaintiff) I am hating going to court every 3-4 weeks and this is really draining me. I can’t afford to pay a lawyer so I was wondering if someone could advise on how legal aid works. Are they at the court? Do you just go there or do you have to make an appointment?
Thanks so much!

2024.05.17 12:39 OkOrganization3814 Custody Matters: Selecting the Best Child Custody Lawyer for Your Family
When it comes to matters of child custody, emotions run high, and legal complexities abound. In such challenging times, having the right child custody lawyer can make all the difference in ensuring the best possible outcome for your family. In the bustling city of Delhi, where legal expertise is abundant, selecting the best child custody lawyer requires careful consideration and research. This article aims to provide essential guidance on choosing the best child custody lawyer for your family in Delhi, emphasizing the importance of finding a competent and compassionate legal advocate.
Understanding the Significance of Choosing the Right Lawyer Child custody cases involve sensitive family dynamics and intricate legal proceedings, making it imperative to choose the right lawyer for the job. A skilled child custody lawyer not only provides expert legal representation but also serves as a compassionate guide, supporting you through the emotional challenges of the custody process. By selecting a lawyer who understands your unique needs and priorities, you can navigate the complexities of child custody proceedings with confidence and clarity.
Essential Factors to Consider When Selecting a Child Custody Lawyer - Experience and Expertise
When evaluating potential
child custody lawyer, prioritize experience and expertise in family law matters. Look for lawyers who have a proven track record of success in handling custody disputes, particularly those with extensive experience practicing in Delhi. Consider factors such as the lawyer's years of practice, case outcomes, and familiarity with local court procedures related to child custody matters.
- Communication and Compatibility
Effective communication and a good rapport with your lawyer are crucial for a successful attorney-client relationship. Schedule consultations with prospective child custody lawyers to assess their communication style, responsiveness, and ability to understand and address your concerns. Choose a lawyer who listens attentively, communicates clearly, and demonstrates empathy and compassion towards your family's situation.
- Reputation and References
Research the reputation of potential child custody lawyers by seeking references from trusted sources, such as friends, family members, or other legal professionals. Online reviews and testimonials from previous clients can also provide valuable insights into a lawyer's professionalism, reliability, and client satisfaction. Consider lawyers with positive feedback and a strong reputation for delivering excellent legal services.
- Legal Fees and Affordability
Discuss the lawyer's fee structure, billing methods, and estimated costs for handling your child custody case during the initial consultation. While cost should not be the sole determining factor, it's essential to choose a lawyer whose fees are reasonable and affordable within your budget. Inquire about payment plans or options for reducing legal expenses to ensure that you can afford quality representation without financial strain.
Leveraging Connections with Property Lawyers in Delhi Although the focus of this article is on child custody lawyers, the mention of property lawyers in Delhi may seem unconventional. However, the legal community in Delhi is interconnected, and lawyers often collaborate or refer clients based on their areas of expertise. Property lawyers in Delhi may have connections with family law practitioners and could provide valuable recommendations or referrals to reputable child custody lawyers they trust.
Conclusion Navigating child custody matters requires careful consideration and the guidance of a skilled legal professional. By prioritizing factors such as experience, communication, reputation, and affordability, you can select the best child custody lawyer for your family in Delhi. Remember, choosing the right lawyer is an investment in your family's future, so take the time to research and evaluate your options carefully. With the support of a competent and compassionate child custody lawyer, you can protect your parental rights and ensure the well-being of your children during this challenging time.

2024.05.17 12:29 astralpariah The Weeknd - I Feel It Coming ft. Daft Punk, An Interpretation Of Narrative
The Weeknd - I Feel It Coming ft. Daft Punk The song leads with a familiar narrative of cat and mouse within romance. Within the first 60 seconds video starts with the foretelling images of the narrator surrounded by statues. A noteworthy lyric “when you’re alone with me.” While the symbolism at play in this piece of art is unrelentingly broadcasting an understanding of communal consciousness and a panpsychic realm; the willing manifestation of focus and privacy between lovers is that of a conscious paradise, even if fleeting. “I feel it coming” paired with the rising of a sun. Telling of knowledge of a new dawn for humanity. Images of her are seen by the narrator while laying down, eyes closed. A commonly reported phenomena of experiencers, to see supernatural beings of the opposite sex in a courting manner. Particularly while trying to sleep or with their eyes closed. At the 1:50 mark the feminine apparition materializes before the narrator. I assume this to be both the metaphors of inhabiting a tangible human and manifesting in otherwise inchoate minds. The feminine human and spiritual being are one and the same. This imagery is followed by the lyrics “You’ve been scared of love and what it did to you.” For me this only suggests the seemingly endless echelons of hells available to spirits, beings that traverse minds both in the approach to and vast chasms away from reality. I have little choice but to believe the beings that are commanding in presence that I continue to encounter have weathered storms of perverse pain, confusion, and doubt to reach me. Similarly, all humans of the experience seem to know of the trails of romance and mental bouts therein, largely written off as a trapping of maturity. I currently suspect otherwise… This romance plays out before storm clouds envelope the heavens, the stage darkens, and he after she turn to stone. Telling the tale that we the corporeal beings of this world are the ones who leave evidence, we become statues that reverberate our story and hold evidence to all who are interested. Her statue releases a serpent, a symbol that has been used since humans were writing in cuneiform to represent a manner of spirit. I have come to understand this symbol through the language of a scheme/way/team/agenda, that some spirits move though people and the world in a carousel and act out similar narratives in a repetition in place and conflict. This is paralleled by the movement of a serpent, as it moves forward the periodic motion/path is followed though by all parts of its body. You’ll note that the Weeknd acts out a character that reaches for the snake rather than the petrified human form. Salacious stuff ;) The piece ends with Daft Punk uncovering a glow that is trapped under ice. Perhaps a fate that awaits this place long after humans are gone.
If you are really interested in going down the symbolic rabbit hole see:
Caduceus,
Nehushtan and Serpent Symbolism in the Ancient Near East. There is a Babylonian inscription that tells of rulers selected by two serpents, they are bestowed as the human rises to station. I believe this is relatively the case for all humans in every level of society. It is certainly a lower sort placed on expereincers who are burdened by this phenomenon. Again, I believe this is done to deny the world that which the human is innately capable of. We are only challenged because we are great.
I hope having an eye for this symbolism grants knowledge that this burden can be overcame, the testaments to the resilience of the human spirit are everywhere. You are more powerful than the shallows of this realm can reveal. Hang in there, I am confident we will all see a brighter horizon soon enough.

2024.05.17 11:59 AcanthisittaUpset885 Third party scammers want to take me to court without providing evidence for 6 months (car insurance) (Scotland)
I live in Scotland.
This issue has been ongoing for over 6 months, where someone reported a false incident to my car insurance, and they refused to provide any evidence like photos of the damage to their car. The only evidence they have is a witness who left a note on their car saying it was my car who hit their car and drove off.
The location of the false incident confirmed they had no CCTV footage of this incident on the date.
I even had the police investigate me 2 months after the false incident was reported and the police dismissed the case as they had no evidence to charge me with a hit and run.
The week after the police visit, 2 months after the false incident, my insurer sent in an engineer to inspect my car, who noted scratches in a few places, which were not there when the police visited just 1 week prior.
I have Photo and video evidence of how I scratched the car, because I purchased a dash cam and installed it on the day the police visited.
I made complaints and recorded every interaction with the insurer and I have a copy of the police report which I gave to the Ombudsman, as the insurer has not been responsive for months.
The Ombudsman have informed me the third party is willing to go to court with their witness, but that my insurer is still waiting on the third party to send in evidence, after 6 months we have had nothing from them. The Ombudsman informed me that my insurer is doing the right thing and that they cannot help me more.
Citizens Advice are not picking up their phones and they are only open in their beaureus on days and times where I am at work.
What can I do, in order to defend my innocence and get this claim removed and voided from the system? I have no evidence that I didn't do it, it's not like I have a video of me not hitting anyone, because I only purchased the dashcam 2 months after the false incident frightened me into buying one.
The insurer can take a witness note as evidence, but the police didn't pursue the claim as they had no real evidence.
Is there any law which states that a claim which has not had evidence provided for x amount of time should be voided? Like a statue of limitations or something or other?
What would this look like if I did want to go to court? Can the court accept a witness note as stand alone evidence?
What more can I do to clear my name? I'm not rich hence why I'm posting on here and trying free services, but if I need to go into court, is there free help I can get?
Do I stand any chance here?

2024.05.17 11:52 SastiBra Commercial tenant refusing to vacate and threatening!
I leased out my commercial property to a person for 8 years. Now, it's my fault I wasn't careful enough while the NOTARIZED lease agreement was being drafted, and I just glanced through the paper before signing it. I was a bit too trusting.
Now, the problem is that payment terms are just not in my favour. From the 2nd year onwards, I wanted the yearly amount in 2 installments, one at the beginning of the lease year (which is the month of November, in this case), and the other at the six-month mark, i.e. May.
Instead, what the agreement says is that the lessee will pay the 1st installment in June, that is after using the property for 7 months, and the 2nd installment in December, the 1st month of the next lease year.
I've been very polite in my exchanges with him while addressing the problems and getting him to agree to either rectify the agreement at the notary, or even verbally, but he's just not acknowledging the problem, claiming that we agreed to this arrangement, which is not really the case. No one in their right mind would agree to such a thing.
Later, he agreed to just let go of the property claiming zero profitability, and sent me an informal notice on WhatsApp, asking me to come take over the property. I did, but then he changed his mind, saying he'd want to try more. Over the next couple of days, he kept on changing his mind, one day saying he'd continue the business on my terms, and straight-up refusing the next day.
Today he just said that if I want to evict him, I would have to compensate him for the repairment he did to the property without informing me anything about it.
From what I know, any rental agreement that exceeds 11 months duration needs to be registered at the sub-registrar's office. Since this is just a notarized agreement, it doesn't hold much value in court. If this is the case, can I kick him out without any legal repurcussions, bcz this is my only source of income that he's been withhelding, hiding behind the notarized agreement?

2024.05.17 11:45 Zuvion Quit job(worked for 8 months) without notice, employer has taken my wages and not paid me at all [UK]
Hey LegalAdviceUK,
The situation is that I worked for the Post Office. On the 18th of April, I decided to resign and I was unable to do notice. I've been threatened with having 4 weeks' worth of wages deducted from my pay as that's what the contract outlines, and the 'time that it takes for them to find a replacement'. Here is what the contract states:
'If you leave without giving the proper period of notice or leave during your notice period without permission. The Employer shall be entitled, as a result of your agreement to the terms of this contract, to deduct a day's pay for each day not worked during the notice and any sum so deducted will be in full and final settlement of The Employer's claim for your breach of contract. The deduction may be made from any final payment of salary which The Employer may be due to make to you. The amount deducted is a genuine attempt by The Employer to asses its loss as a result of your leaving without notice. It is not intended to act as a penalty upon termination.' 'The length of notice which either party is obliged to give the other to terminate, your employment is mandatory four weeks' notice period is required in all circumstances, failure to do so and leaving without notice period will incure in deduction of cost to employ external staff to cover that notice period. In extreme cases we might terminate your employment if we consider it deemed in business interest' I've asked my manager to clarify if it meant that I'd be losing the previous 4 weeks' pay. She proceeded to block me. My area manager soon talked to me about the situation, and after discussing things, I just said I'd resign. She confirmed that it just meant that I wouldn't be paid for the 4 weeks' notice since I won't be working that and I would get my pay, before proceeding to block me. I've sent emails to try and discuss things with my boss, but he's refused to contact me, nor give me a payslip to show where the deductions have been taken.
On the day that my pay comes, the 1st of every month, I noticed that I had nothing come for me. After another email, to which I wasn't given a reply, I talked to ACAS to start early conciliation, they talked with my boss, and he replied that he is firm on the contract and refusing to pay me at all. Finally after talking directly face-to-face with my manager, she talked to my boss and said that I would have a letter coming for this. This was on the 6th of May, though, and I've had nothing arrive since then.
After talking to some friends, they said that while he can take deductions from my pay, he must still pay me for the hours that I have worked, and afterwards in a claims court, take the money back while providing proof rather than retroactively pretending that there was costs. I have talked to my previous coworkers and had them send out the work rota to me, showing that he has not hired anyone at all during my 4 week notice.
For context, I'm paid minimum wage and just want my 79 hours of work paid to me. To this day, I'm still waiting for my pay and I'm prepared to do an Employment Tribunal but I'm unsure of the steps or if I'm able to sort this out without resorting to that, is there anything that I can do concerning this?

2024.05.17 11:30 aharmlesslittlefleaa Sit With Us/Abbie/Jack and Tori/So Dramatic/Olivia stuff
Sorry if this is not allowed, didn’t really know where else to post and have a few thoughts and wanted to see if anyone else has been following along recently -
Basically, long story short, Dom and Ella from a previous season (both of whom I was a fan of during their stint!) have their podcast - Sit With Us. They did some interviews with the most recent MAFS cast, including Jack and Tori. I don’t really listen to their podcast at all, but I was intrigued by how they would handle the Jack and Tori stuff and the “muzzle your woman” comment given that Dom was very outspoken around her edit and the onlyfans stuff etc.
I was pretty disappointed at the episode - the “muzzle your woman” comment was brought up, but I felt it was kind of brushed over as well as I think Ella saying something like “you were pushed” which… kinda of insinuated that Jack was PUSHED to say something so vile which I don’t agree with.
So it’s kind of blown up, and Abbie Chatfield (whom I personally really admire) spoke out (commented on some of Sit With Us’ clips, posted some stories and did a podcast ep on it ) explained how/why she was so disappointed etc and why it was wrong to give Jack a platform and her disappointment and disgust in how the interview was handled. I agree with pretty much everything Abbie had to say about it and felt she eloquently/articulately explained why I felt so icky about the episode.
ANYWAY, So Dramatic has been posting her commentary on it which is fine - she is a pop culture/reality tv content creator I guess, but she’s kind of spun it into a “this is why I backed off from Dom, I’m glad people are finally realising” etc
And now Olivia has started chiming in with the same kind of commentary and sort of saying stuff on her stories like “this is my redemption arc” which… ok.
I think at this stage Dom and Ella haven’t really addressed it properly or taken ownership of how poorly the interview was conducted I guess.
What are people who have been following this thoughts on it? My are -
• Dom and Ella massively dropped the ball here. They were ill equipped to interview Jack properly and made light of a really, genuinely misogynistic comment that Jack made. And I get that sometimes people say things they don’t mean or regret in the heat of the moment, but what Jack said doesn’t come from nowhere. I think he has said things like that before. It was the language chose to use that was the issue. You are not “pushed” to say things like that. And in light of the recent DV incidents highlighted in the media, it was just so tone deaf to air this episode. I work in a field where we see a lot of DV cases and it’s just… fucked. The amount of ADVO listings at your local court everyday is fucked. Language matters.
• I feel bad that Abbie continually has to be the one to call this stuff out.
• I kinda feel like So Dramatic and Olivia using this as their way of saying “see! Dom IS bad!” Is icky. It takes away from what the actual issue is and turning into something more … trivial. I think the abuse Olivia received online was horrendous tbh and she didn’t deserve it but I think it’s a bit eh to post stories about how karma caught up with Dom etc.

2024.05.17 11:27 supermarcoa First testimony of Haru Invest CEO, “B&S loss amounted to 400 billion won”
https://www.digitalasset.works/news/articleView.html?idxno=7438
2024.05.17
B&S, an undeclared virtual asset management company, made its first court statement that the amount of virtual assets lost by users due to the collapse of the global exchange FTX in November 2022 amounted to 400 billion won.
After Haru Invest's suspension of virtual asset deposits and withdrawals in June 2023, it became known that the company had entrusted customer virtual assets to B&S for management, and the victims' attention was focused on the scale of B&S's losses.
Representative Haru Lee (indicted) appeared as a witness at the third trial of the 'B&S fraud case' held on May 17th at the 13th Criminal Division of the Seoul Southern District Court (Chief Judge Sang-yeon Kim) and made this statement.
The amount of loss is the sum of the values of BTC (Bitcoin), ETH (Ethereum), and XRP (Ripple) based on the June 2023 price.
It has been 11 months since the Haru incident in June 2023 that the loss due to Haru's B&S was revealed.
Mr. Lee has also been arrested and is being tried on charges of fraud worth 1.4 trillion won after a series of deposits and withdrawals were halted in June 2023.
Since the one-day withdrawal suspension, a total of three related criminal trials are underway.
However, the size of the loss per day was never specifically mentioned.
The court asked, “The indictment lists 35.5 billion won in damages by calculating the value of virtual assets such as Ripple handed over to the defendant after November 7, 2022. How much is the actual loss per day (due to B&S)?”
Previously, the prosecution first indicted Mr. Bang only on charges of fraud under the Special Police Act that occurred after the suspension of FTX withdrawals in November 2022.
Prosecutors are conducting additional investigations into Mr. Bang's fraud charges that occurred before November 2022.
Previously, the prosecution explained the facts of the indictment at the first trial of this case on March 5, 2024, saying, “The defendant (Mr. Bang) received approximately 35.5 billion won worth of virtual assets by April 27, 2023, including 5 million XRP received in July 2021. “It was fraudulent,” he said.
Regarding this, CEO Lee said at the hearing that day, “The first contract (contract dated March 29, 2022) included 5,000 Bitcoin, 30,000 Ethereum, and 10 million USDT (Tether), which was worth about 300 billion won at the time, and 900 of the 300 billion won. He answered, “I returned the hundred million won and (Mr. Bang later) took more.”
The meaning of “Mr. Bang took more” means that Mr. Bang received additional virtual assets from Haru and entrusted them.
The court asked, “What is the actual loss per day (investment) assessed by the witness (CEO Lee)?”
Representative Lee said, “I think there will be a difference in the amount of won loss depending on how the Bitcoin and Ethereum prices are calculated.”
He continued, “When this incident (one-day incident) occurred (June 2023), Bitcoin was worth 35 million won, but now it is 90 million won.”
When the court asked, “How much was it at that time (one day’s incident)?” Representative Lee responded, “I think it caused a loss of 400 billion won as of June (2023).”
Haru suddenly stopped withdrawals on June 13, 2023.
Haru claimed, “The reason for the suspension of withdrawals was because our partner B&S Holdings provided false information.”
Delio , another virtual asset depository , also admitted to depositing money on a single day and suspended withdrawals on June 14.
Afterwards, the victims filed a criminal complaint against Haru and Delio executives with the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office on June 16, 2023.
Three key executives, including CEO Lee, were arrested and indicted in February 2024 on charges of virtual asset fraud worth 1.4 trillion won.
Delio CEO Jeong Sang-ho was indicted without detention on charges of virtual asset fraud worth 245 billion won in April 2024.
In June 2023, Haru separately filed a criminal complaint against Mr. Bang, the majority shareholder of B&S, to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on charges of fraud under the Special Police Act .
Mr. Bang was arrested and indicted in February 2024.

2024.05.17 11:20 satan-arcana Brothers in their late 20s and early 30s, be extremely careful while choosing your partner.
I was just talking to a family friend in his 30s. This guy is really a good person, has a great personality, and comes from a wealthy family. He got married around 2 years ago. Everything was fine at the start, but after a year, an argument took place between him and his wife. She filed a false domestic violence case against him. He did everything he could to fight the case in court, but unfortunately, the judges favored his wife, and she won. They got divorced, and his wife took around 50 lakhs from him. I feel extremely bad for him. He was totally innocent, and now he's become extremely depressed. He has even given up on the idea of any future marriage.
I don't want to generalize, but some girls of this generation can be very clever. They may choose you only if you are earning a good amount of money or if your family has lots of generational wealth. Even then, you might not remain safe after marriage. I don't want to see any more of my brothers suffering the same fate. So please be extremely careful while choosing a partner. First, spend a lot of time with her, get to know everything about her, and then make a decision.

2024.05.17 11:04 SendingBirds Arranged or forced marriage/bond books (high angst)
Hello! I am back with a request for recs! And of course I will add mine too.
I was wondering if anyone had any high angst books with arranged or forced marriage (or marriage of convenience) or arranged/force bond in case it is an omegaverse-type book or a biokink type of book. By high angst I am mainly looking for stories where there is some kind of distrust between the characters (for different reasons, any is fine!) that is overcome through the story!
Things that I absolutely (sadly)
cannot read: mafia, incest.
Things that I would prefer not to read but it is okay if they are not very prominent: age gap, daddy kink.
Here are the ones I have read! And if there are no new recs for me I am just happy to share the list I have (this is my favorite trope!). I thought to divide them between arranged and forced, but I think the ones where both characters fully consented were very little (for angst reason!), so I will write in the description the status of consent too. Instead, I divided them in non-omegaverse/bond and omegaverse.
Arranged or forced marriage/bond (no omegaverse) - {Winter's Orbit by Everina Maxwell} Sci-fi futuristic, probably my favorite arranged marriage novel. MC1 is the cousin of the prince, and after the prince's death he is quickly asked to marry the prince's windower. MC2 is cold and very devoted to his duty, while MC1 is more casual even if quite kind and well meaning. Some very high tension deriving from the fact that MC2's previous husband was controlling and abusive and MC2 prepares himself for the same treatment from MC1. A lot of focus on the political plot too.
- {Ocean's echo by Everina Maxwell} Sci-fi futuristic, forced bonding (no marriage). MC1 is a "reader" (of minds and space) and after angering the authorities one time too many he is sent to be bonded to MC2, a lieutenant on a ship. The relationship starts rocky and antagonistic, and the book focuses heavily on the plot. Also the bonding is actually fake, they just pretend to be bonded.
- {The High King's Golden Tongue by Megan Derr} Fantasy, arranged marriage. MC1 has been raised to be the perfect prince and study diplomacy, languages and etiquette. He joins MC2 (the king) at court to marry him but MC2 immediately refuses. MC2 has been previously married and his husband has died, he also would prefer to marry a soldier given his kingdom is at war. Still, aftet a bit MC2 does try to be kinder.
- {Vampire with Benefits by E. J. Russell} Contemporary, very low angst, more of a comedic adorable book. MC1 is a vampire who has to accept the match given to him by the Supernatural selection institute or he will be killed, MC2 is a werebeaver who is looking for a match after his old lover left him. Instant dislike but also quite a lot of attraction and yeah this was just hilariously sweet. Technically they are not arranged to marry (they are not each other's match) but given they marry because of the whole arranged deal I decided to add it here.
- {Wed to the Barbarians by Keira Andrews} Medieval-like world. MC1 is a prince who enjoys reading smut novels and saving birds. MC2 is the son of the chief of a northern kingdom just now opening its borders. MC1 finds out of the marriage a day before it and is not too happy about it, also MC2 treats him quite harshly as he despises the fact that MC1 looks so weak. In reality MC2 agrees to marry MC1 because of a political plot which really amps up the angst. The book has a bit of initial angst regarding the marriage, with the bulk of it then happening after MC2 falls for MC1. Also a lot of insta lust moments from MC1.
- {A strange and stubborn endurance by Meadows Foz} Fantasy, MC1 and MC2 marry for an alliance between nations. MC1 comes from a homophobic society and he knew nothing of the marriage until he has to leave to join MC2, while MC2 agreed to marry. The story is mainly revolving around an assassination attempt plot, and has minimal tension and angst between the characters. There is a bit of tension at the beginning because MC1 was sexually assaulted by his previous lover and afraid that the same would happen to him with MC2, but I think the tension only lasts for the first 30% of the book or less. Generally the relationship is quite low angst after the start, and sweet.
- {The replacement husband by Eliot Grayson} Historical (regency I think?) with magic, where some men are blessed by the Goddess, which means that they can marry other men and in return the goddess will bless their husbands. This is more of a marriage of necessity/convenience. MC1 is seduced by MC2's brother, and when MC2's brother leave him after ruining his reputation, MC2 decides to step in and marry MC1. I admit I did not finish it, it felt very sweet and low angst.
- {The reluctant husband by Eliot Grayson} Same universe as the one above. This one is one of my favorite and a beautiful angst-feast! The protagonist is the brother who ruined the reputation of the previous book's protagonist. MC1 is known to be a rake, he seduces and moves on, until he also falls in disgrace when the woman he married asks for a divorce. MC2 is an old school rival/enemy who finds out that MC1 is touched by the goddess and has been hiding it this whole time. MC2 asks MC1 to marry him so he can get the blessing and hopefully save his own sick cousin. Very high animosity, MC2 truly despises MC1, and mistreat him quite a lot.
- {Tournament of Losers by Megan Derr} One of my favorite novels ever. Fantasy (low magic), set in a kingdom where a tournament (of losers) is sometimes instated to decide which people among the commoners will marry some of the nobles of different ranks. MC1 is a dock worker and sometimes sex worker scrambling for money and he decides to partecipate, mainly because all partecipants receive a stipend. One of his clients is MC2 who is actually one of the nobles MC1 could end up marrying if he wins. So this is arranged in the sense that a tournament arranges it, but both the MC love each other's by the time that happens.
- {Quest of Fools by Megan Derr} Same universe as the book above, much lower angst and I admit I could never finish it because the focus was often away from the main characters. MC1 is a commoner with a big family (lots of children) who wins the hand of MC2, a nobleman, at the tournament of losers.
- {Force by Kiki Burelli} Contemporary with magic and werewolves. MC1 is a werewolf who has to marry a witch (MC2) as an old agreement to keep the peace. MC2 has been raised to be the perfect husband and is determined to be so, which ends up in MC1 finding out about the extent of abuse and training MC2 went through. MC1 does not want to marry at all, while MC2 marries thinking that is his only role. It is actually pretty sweet, it starts with some animosity and accidental carelessness from MC1's side but turns quite sweet.
- {Thrust by Kiki Burelli} Same universe as the book above. MC1 (of a close pack to MC of previous book) has been used by his father for a lot of failed matches, mainly as a way to get some gain from other packs and clans. MC2 is a witch who has been in an abusive marriage and is now forced by his family to marry MC1. I could not finish this one, sorry, but this is an enemies to lovers, with a lot of distrust from MC2 in particular.
- {The Infidelity clause by Lisa Oliver} Medieval like world. MC1 is a prince who agrees to marry another prince, MC2, because he knows MC2 is a known libertine. For this reason MC1 added to the contract an infidelity clause and he hopes he will soon see the marriage broken because of it (which will allow his kingdom many benefits). MC2 considers himself only attracted to women and had no idea he is to marry MC1 until the two meets. Extremely low angst regarding the relationship, in the sense that the book almost has insta-attraction and insta-love (literally within two days), I could barely keep up. I admit I could not finish it.
- {Lost and Bound by Eliot Grayson} Contemporary, werewolves. More of a bond of necessity/convenience. MC1 is a werewolf who has been locked up in an experimental facility. When the scientists are done with him they leave him in the cell of MC2, an aggressive werewolf who has been turned into something close to a half-vampire (he does drink blood). The scientists know MC2 will end up killing MC1, but instead MC1 manages to convince MC2 to bond with him. I loved this book, very high angst, so much tension, just wow.
Arranged of forced marriage/bond (omegaverse) - {Unnatural by Alessandra Hazard} Sci-fi futuristic, omegaverse alpha/alpha, arranged marriage (bond is not an option at least at the start). MC1 is an alpha and a prince and he has to marry MC2 (senator of a nearby country) to keep the peace of the planet. MC1 has always preferred alpha or beta lovers so he chooses MC2, who is only pretending to be a beta (he is an alpha). The marriage is arranged, and there is an immediate distaste and dislike. Unfortunately the book ended up in a strange and weird place. It is revealed that MC1 was always an omega and has been genetically modified by his father in an attempt to make him an alpha. He still stays an alpha at the end of the book, but I felt like it went against the whole premise.
- {Omega required by Dessa Lux} Contemporary omegaverse werewolves alpha/omega, arranged marriage that is arranged between the two characters themselves. MC1 is a medical student who wants to work with humans, but because he is an alpha he can only do so if he has a pack or a mate. MC2 is an omega resting in a facility after his previous pack and mate abused him. They decide to marry for convenience, and it is a very very sweet, low angst book (as much as I could read). Insta-trust as well.
- {Honeythorn by Marina Vivancos} Historical (regency) omegaverse alpha/omega. MC1 is an omega who is sent into another country to marry MC2 (an alpha) who is known to be a bit of a recluse. They both are part of the nobility. The building of trust was pretty quick, so I did not manage to finish it, but I think if you are looking for a relatively low angst sweet story this might be it. Arranged marriage and both are pretty okay with it. Also if I am not wrong, in this omegaverse the omega needs constant care/attention from the alpha or they will feel sick.
- {Cherryvine by Marina Vivancos} Same world as the one before. MC1 is an omega whose husband died (and whose husband was absent, negligent and abusive) and he moves to marry MC2 who is an alpha and very patient in gaining MC1's trust.
