I saw this on IG and out of many "hot takes" I've seen, I definitely won't agree with this one. The entire series being about Phineas & Ferb and a love of summer at its core made this show spectacular. submitted by Pamona204 to phineasandferb [link] [comments] |

Danville submitted by thedreamlan6 to phineasandferb [link] [comments] And then I started thinking: There should've been an episode where Phineas and Ferb try to make a newspaper but towards the end of the episode they struggle to find a name for their newspaper. They land on the "Danville Point of View", but call it Dan Pov for short. Cut to Doof reading the newspaper and realizing it's pushing out HIS evil newspaper, the Self-Destruction Daily, that for some reason isn't selling very well. His invention to compensate? The windy-day-inator which is basically a big fan (there's a joke there that we're a big fan of Dan Pov har har whatever) that blows away newspapers so people can't read them. Then Linda's reading the Dan Pov it in the car after narrowly evading Candace's plot to bust them, and thinks it's really good, but has no idea it's made by her boys' giant industrial newspaper factory (by the way I need a song idea for this please help). Anyway the ENTIRE REASON for this storyboard was to get to this place: Linda is in the car and the windy-day-inator blows the newspaper on her rear view mirror so she can't see Candace screaming and pointing to the giant factory behind her car. This is where Linda says: "Sorry Candace there's a Dan Povenmire-ear view mirror, can't see a thing". Thanks for reading, I'm so, SO sorry (not really) for this pitch. |

2024.05.31 07:14 GrimmestGhost_ Trying to make a Fazbear Frights timeline
So I finally finished reading through the Fazbear Frights stories, and now I get to ramble about them. Rather than a book review though, I more wanted to talk about the timeline and world of the books and how they intersect with the games. I took some notes while reading regarding the date and location of each story to hopefully be able to piece together a coherent timeline. submitted by GrimmestGhost_ to fnaftheories [link] [comments] The first major problem though is that not all the stories are actually canon. There's the Stitchline stories that seem to directly connect with the games, a few stories that either contradict the games or have timeline issues that prevent them from being canon, and quite a few that reside in a nebulous middle area where they don't contradict anything, but also aren't referenced in the epilogues. I'm unsure whether a minimalist (only considering Stitchline stories canon) or a maximalist (considering everything that doesn't contradict the games canon) is the better approach, so I kind of split the distance with this timeline. The other problem with doing this, right now at least, is that I'm just not sure how much the Into the Pit game is going to differ from the book. One of the teasers for the game has been "Visitor 202385" which seemingly places ITP in 2023, but in the books the story is set over the summer while in the game we have this: https://preview.redd.it/g4rm5eg2ao3d1.png?width=960&format=png&auto=webp&s=980bd95f5d15e61bb5e168b47b6dd31923b25e74 The calendar seemingly places it in October (though it is possible this is just a reference to when the FNAF movie released), so the date is ambiguous. It would probably be better to wait until the game releases to do this timeline, but screw it, I'm doing it now. For now I'm just going to assume ITP takes place over the summer in 2023. One of the other teasers for the game is this: https://preview.redd.it/qfk751xqao3d1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=d3bd546500882683e7df0678744c67b306a4b241 This one confirms that the game is set after the FFPS fire (even though Oswald never goes to this Freddy's in the book but whatever), and from this we can place the events of FFPS in early 2023. This will be our base point for the timeline, and from there we can put stories in either pre-fire and post-fire. The other thing we need to establish (especially because of Into the Pit) is where these stories take place. For the most part, with a few outliers, most of the canon stories have to take place around Hurricane, Utah, where we know the original Freddy's (and the FFPS) location take place. This is because of how involved the ball pit is in later stories, with Larson and Jake visiting it at different points, which means the epilogues also have to take place in (or relatively close to) Hurricane. Hurricane is located in Washington County, Utah, so it seems that FFPS canonized Silver Eyes' location So starting from with the pre-fire stories: 3.2 - Room For One More - This story involves Stanley, a guard at Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental Service. It's mentioned that Stanley has had the job for a year and half. It's hard to say whether it takes place before or after the main events of Sister Location, but I'd wager before (I don't see CBEARS being able to stay open for a year and a half after they lost their main animatronics). I know the entrance to the bunker in the story doesn't match the games, but it's not impossible to assume it's just a different entrance. If we have to accept Freddy's having a ball pit we never see in the games, I don't think this more of a "canon-breaker" than that. 6.1 - Blackbird - My reason for putting this one earlier is that both main characters, Sam and Nole, talk about Freddy's like it's a thing that's not around anymore, so it can't be after the brand is revived post-FFPS. Since Sam and Nole are both college sophomores, but remember Freddy's (which closed in the 90s), we can place this one in the 2000s. 12.1 - Felix the Shark - This one has to take place in a similar timeframe. Freddy's isn't a thing anymore, but all the main characters recall going there when they were young. Dirk goes on a quest to find a Freddy's that had a unique shark animatronic, eventually finding it in the town of Forkstop (which is not a real place), which is said to be in the American midwest. It's also mentioned that there was a Freddy's in Iowa at one point. 3.3 - The New Kid - None of the kids in this story have heard of Freddy's before, and don't recognize it when they go to the abandoned one in the woods, so we can assume it's before the revival. This is actually one of the few stories that gives its' location away, with an offhand mention of salal shrubs, which only grow on the west coast of the US. This places it in either California, Oregon, Washington, or Alaska. How we can reconcile this with the corpse in the Fredbear suit possibly being Andrew I'm not sure, but that's for another day. Christmas Eve - 1.3 - Count the Ways - This one could technically be post-fire, but given that Millie doesn't seem to recognize Freddy, I figured it could easily be pre-fire. Really it could be on any Christmas Eve. The Funtime Freddy Millie gets trapped in says that he sat in a scrap yard for years before being found by Millie's grandfather and then sitting in his workshop for years. I don't think there's any way for this to be THE Funtime Freddy, but he does have the same sadistic personality. Now we can actually start putting some real dates down: 2020 - The mill in Hurricane closes, causing the town to decline. Fall 2022 - Fazbear's Frights opens in Hurricane, Springtrap is unearthed in the Freddy's safe room, Fazbear's Fright burns down. (So why 2022, you might be wondering. What We Found, which heavily involves FNAF 3, is set during the fall. Although What We Found can't be 100% canon due to contradictions with the game, I see no problem with using the date. The only thing it really affects is for "30 years later" to be literal, Freddy's has to have closed in 1992.) Early 2023 - Henry sets up his trap in Hurricane, reviving the Fazbear brand in the process. He then burns it down. Afton's corpse is recovered from the site, along with the Puppet mask. (Also I know there's a Halloween poster in the alleyway in FFPS, but for this we have to assume it's just an old poster from the previous fall). It's also worth noting that Larson helped with the fire investigation, which we're told in Epilogue V. Despite Henry's efforts, the Fazbear brand lives on. Fall 2022 - Summer 2023 - Sometime between Fazbear's Fright burning down and summer 2023 Jeff's Pizza occupies the old Freddy's building in Hurricane. Summer 2023 - 1.1 - Into the Pit - Set over the entire summer, starting on the last day of school and ending on the first day of the next school year, Oswald begins using the ball pit in Jeff's Pizza to experience memories of Freddy's in 1985 and fights the yellow rabbit. Summer 2024 - 6.2 - The Real Jake - Both Evan and his son Jake pass away, while Evan leaves the house to Margie, Jake's caretaker. Jake possesses his Simon doll. Through Epilogue II we can place this in Hurricane. Fall 2025 - 6.3 - The Man in Room 1280 - Although there's no time frame given for this story other than it being in fall, given that Afton is said to have been at Heracles Hospital for a while, I felt like two years since the fire seemed a reasonable placement, though it could also be fall 2024. We can also place this story near or in Hurricane. Afton and Andrew having been fighting in UCN since the fire. Father Blythe takes Afton to the Fazbear Entertainment Distribution Center, which is operating, showing that FazEnt is well and alive at this point. Afton's body explodes, causing him and Andrew to infect the various items there. November 2025 - January 2026 - 2.1 - Fetch - Greg finds the Fetch dog (infected by Andrew) in an abandoned Freddy's. Since Greg's town is said to be coastal, this story actually doesn't take place in Hurricane. We can actually pinpoint where though, since Greg's Advanced Scientific Theory teacher is said to also teach at Grays Harbor Community College. Grays Harbor is a county in Washington state, which is on the coast, so this fits. The Freddy's is implied to have been closed when the whole chain originally did in the 90s. How the Fetch dog went from Hurricane to an abandoned Freddy's in Washington and back to Hurricane again I have no idea. Spring 2026 - 3.1 - 1:35 AM - We're given no details other than this story taking place in spring, so really it could be anywhere from 2024 - 2027, but this felt like a good place for it. Since the Ella doll shows up in the Epilogues, I assume it takes place near Hurricane. I say near because the town Delilah lives in is near a river, which real life Hurricane doesn't really have, though nearby St. George does. Fall 2026 - 4.2 - Dance With Me - Much like 1:35 AM we're given no date other than the season, fall, so there are multiple years this story could take place. The most notable thing is that the VR glasses Kasey steals come from Circus Baby's Pizza World. This obviously can't be the original, so at some point in their revival era FazEnt opened a new one. I'm like 90% sure this story actually takes place in Tennessee because Kasey takes a bus to both Memphis and Nashville. It's also within driving distance of Chicago, though that is said to be a longer journey than then other two cities. 2027 - 4.1 - Step Closer - We're given absolutely no time frame for this story other than in being during the school year. The reason I place it here is because Freddy's is open and thriving, which suggests it takes place during the revival era, though really it could take place anywhere from 2024 - 2027. As for where it takes place, I assume Hurricane because of the epilogues, but there's really no way to say for certain. 2027 - 6.3 - Hide-and-Seek - Much like Step Closer, all this story tells us is that it's during the school year. However, this one gives a few more details. Toby's brother is said to have worked at this Freddy's in high school before he graduated and Toby started working there, so that location has to have been open a few years at least. The odd thing is that this one is called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza and Games and is said to be "family owned". Why it has a unique name is beyond me, though I suppose FazEnt could be franchising out their restaurants like we see in FFPS. 2027 - Epilogue III (Part 2) - This is sort of confusing but because of timeline issues we have to split this one up, with the second part taking place earlier than the first. In Hurricane, Dr. Phineas Taggart creates the Stitchwraith out of an old endoskeleton, the head of Jake's Simon doll, and the battery back from the Fetch dog (the latter two coming from his collection of haunted items). It comes to life and kills him. 2027 - Epilogue IV - Jake and Andrew awake in the Stitchwraith and accidentally kill a truck driver. Jake vows to hunt down all the Andrew-infected items. October 30th, 2027 - 2.3 - Out of Stock - Oscar and his friends steal the cursed Plushtrap Chaser, which tries to kill them until they get it hit by a train. Given that the same train tracks appear in the Epilogues, we can also place this in Hurricane (the rare story that gives both it's date and location away). Hurricane also has a "Royal Oaks Nursing Home". October 30th, 2027 - Epilogue II (Part 1) - Another one we have to split because of timeline issues with other stories. The first part, where Grim, a homeless man, watches the Stitchwraith collect the remains of the Plushtrap Chaser, happens the same night as Out of Stock. The second part, which involves Larson, has to take place later. Winter 2027 - 1.2 - To Be Beautiful - Sarah uncovers Eleanor in the scrap yard near her house in Hurricane (which we know because Epilogue I describes her as a "local" teen). By this point Hurricane seems to be reviving, because there's mentions of a shopping mall and various restaurants. The story is vaguely set in "winter", which could place it anywhere from November to February. Winter 2027 - Epilogue I - Larson is assigned to the Stitchwraith case. It's mentioned that Sarah died one week ago, placed it one week after To be Beautiful. Larson muses that he's been working as a detective for five years at this point, and since Epilogue V tells us he investigated the FFPS fire, which is also said to be "ancient history" in the precinct in Epilogue V, if we assume the fire happened in Larson's first year, this is the earliest we can place the start of his Stitchwraith investigation. Winter 2027 - Epilogue II (Part 2) - Larson's investigation leads him Margie's house. Margie is said to have owned the house for three years at that point. Winter 2027 - Epilogue III (Part 1) - The Stitchwraith is spotted for the second time at the fire site from the FFPS fire, meaning the building is still standing at this point. Winter 2027 - Epilogue V - Larson recalls investigating Taggart's death "weeks earlier". Through the destroyed Fetch dog he connected the Stitchwraith to Fazbear and retrieves the Puppet mask from storage. Across town Grim watches the Stitchwraith dragging items into an abandoned factory to destroy them. Mentioned specifically are the remains of Fetch and the Plushtrap Chaser, as well as the Ella doll. Winter 2027 - Epilogue VI - Larson tracks the Stitchwraith to the abandoned factory and watches it destroy a Foxy (likely the same one from Step Closer). To stop Andrew from killing Larson Jake attempts to destroy the Stitchwraith body, but Afton emerges from the trash pile and tries to stop him. In the confrontation Jake gets Andrew to move on while Afton begins forming the Trash Amalgamation. Winter 2027 - Epilogue VII - Immediately after the last Epilogue, the Afton-Amalgamation finishes itself (pulling in Eleanor in the process), starts fighting Larson, and stabs him. After a fight Afton pulls in the Puppet mask, Eleanor ditches, and Afton falls apart, collapsing into the nearby lake. Jake heals Larson and runs away, Afton is finally dead, and Charlie moves on (?). Winter 2027 - Epilogue VIII - Larson is discharged from the hospital but begins having visions of the ball pit. Nine days after the fight with Afton Jake helps a homeless man and rescues Renelle from her dealers. Larson tracks the ball pit to Jeff's Pizza (now closed) and takes blood samples. Two days after rescuing her, Jake takes Renelle to the shed near the train tracks from Out of Stock and hears something moving around outside. Winter 2027 - Epilogue IX - The day after, Larson learns his blood samples are all from the same person over a thirty year period. Jake returns to the shed with food and introduces himself to Renelle and vows to reunite her with her father. Winter 2027 - Epilogue X - Larson connects the blood samples with several missing persons cases over the years, and learns that someone investigating them before him had contacted a "Dr. Talbert" about them. He goes to find him. Elsewhere Jake takes Renelle to her father's house (Dr. Talbert), and realizes Renelle is actually Eleanor. Larson arrives and Eleanor in the pit memories (Out of Stock, 1:35 AM, Step Closer, The Man in Room 1280, Hide-and-Seek, and Blackbird are all directly referenced). Jake attacks Eleanor but Talbert shoots him and prepares to heal "Renelle" with remnant. Winter 2027 - Epilogue XI - Larson continues fighting Eleanor (To Be Beautiful and Dance With Me are directly referenced), while in the real world Jake recovers and traps Eleanor in a memory and absorbs her into his consciousness. Two weeks later Jake goes to the ball pit to put an end to everything, and helps those in the memories in there (Millie specifically) find peace before moving on himself. Larson visits Talbert and is given the remnant pendant. That wraps up all the pertinent stories. Bunny Call and The Cliffs could both be included, but no time frame or location is given for either. Bunny Call doesn't even mention FNAF at all, and The Cliffs would likely be set in the post-fire revival era, but I didn't really know where I would place it. I really wanted to include What We Found, Prankster, and In the Flesh (peak fiction by the way, I loved it), but unfortunately they all contradict the games too much to be included. Lonely Freddy and Coming Home face similar problems. The Scoop is the most oddball one of the lot, being almost a meta story. You're the Band I have no idea what to do with, but that one might warrant a separate post. All the others are either too contradictory to be included, or I just don't care enough to put them in. I'm not entirely happy with the timeline, mostly because most of the stories are so dang vague that you could really put them anywhere, but I did the best I could. Perhaps I'll revise it once the Pit game comes out. Also how we reconcile any of this with Help Wanted, Special Delivery, Tales, and Security Breach (which has the FFPS building in a sinkhole with the Pizzaplex above it) I don't know. I'm not super well versed on modern lore. If you spent the time reading this monstrous wall of text I've created, I appreciate it! |
