1. Danny is a nice guy. He isn’t mean. He is fair to other creators and keeps his audience staying kind online.
2. Danny is funny. When I watch his videos, it feels like talking and laughing with a close friend. When I feel really lonely, I put on one of his videos and it feels like I’m connecting with someone. He probably will never know who I am but he’s changed my life and makes me feel hopeful for having friends.
3. Danny is a good person & has dogs. Those go hand in hand, I suppose. But he just seems so nice.
4. Danny is a good dad. He cable manages, and spends time with his kids. He always speaks so highly of Laura. I hope I can have a partnership as amazing as theirs someday.

Hi :) i’m 19 and I broke up with my first boyfriend after over 2 years almost a year and a half ago, our relationship was very up and down and hard to put into just one post but we had our issues and differences but overall i don’t think i’ve ever felt more seen by a person, i also cant tell if i’m just thinking about him this way since it’s been so long since the breakup and now i can’t really think about the negatives but i’ve just been really struggling with it.
Even when we broke up i couldn’t manage to delete any pictures or videos i have relating to him or of him because every time i try to i am hit with the worst feelings. The other day i used someone else’s instagram to look at his since i’m blocked (big mistake i know) and I saw him with his new girlfriend and i haven’t been able to stop thinking about him since and how much i do miss him. I’m scared no one will ever see me the way he did, being my first relationship and knowing me from 15 to almost 18 i went through some of the most formative years of my life with him and i really want to be able to let go.
Now I keep having dreams that i’m telling him all about my new life and the tattoos i’ve gotten and this dream has happened multiple times (i’m also on sertraline so my dreams are a little crazy.)
If anyone has gone through something similar or has any good advice I would really appreciate it since i’m ultimately too embarrassed to speak to anyone about this and how i feel since it’s been so long and i know i shouldn’t be feeling this way over someone who caused me so much pain yet made me feel more loved and appreciated than anyone ever has.

1. Meggy: She really pisses me off. The first reason is that the way the SMG4 Production turned her into a human was ridiculous. It felt like a overrated Netflix Drama. They probably made her like that to merchendise and get more attention. The Second reason would be her behaviour. She used to be kind and respectful (even as a human). But she's now a bossy show off. She thinks that she knows better than Mario and mostly gets sad or shocked when she looses in a Argument. Luke and Kevin, you can still save her character tho. It's not too late.
   
2. Karen: I don't remember one single time laughing at her. She's so unfunny. It feels like if SMG4 was running out of Ideas and thus created her. I also get annoyed by her Dialog.
   
3. SMG3: Wasn't he supposed to be a villian? Better yet: Is he still a villian? There never were any real moments where SMG3 said that he's no more evil. The show just continued without his evil shenanigans. From a clumsy evil guy to a King of dead memes to a Café owner. The Notebook joke from WOTFI 2023 (was it even a WOTFI?) became unfunny. It went from funny at first to unfunny due to the way they overused it and don't get me to SMG3's lines. I cringed so hard whenever he said Baka. Good thing he doesn't mention it anymore.
   
4. SMG4(The Character): I don't mean Luke irl. I mean the Asian with the Blue cap. I don't mind the redesigns. I understand why they changed it but his behaviour got bad. He became sort of a "narcissist" Person. He mostly cares about memes (which is not funny nowadays) and milks Mario for Views (Genesis Arc). He even destroyed Peach's Castle over a stupid meme. I feel like he's gonna start WW3 one day cause of memes.
   
5. & 5. SMG1 and SMG2: It feels like they're only there for the Genesis Arc. Their Backstory and the multiverse thing was annoying and lame. Rewatching their backstories actually made me laugh. It feels like the Genisis Arc forced us to feel empathy for the people there. They're supposed to be Master Splinter and Sensei Wu, except that Splinter and Wu are well written Characters. SMG1 is actually not that bad but SMG2 goes like: "NoOoOoOoOo! SmG4 aNd SmG3 nEeD tO tEaM uP oR eLsE tHe wOrLd eNdS ßwe08fp0fzh8p293fogz2g09üe8dfzß01ß!!!". Also why couldn't SMG4 and Mario just talk to Susan (Former CEO of Youtube) during the arc? She literally has a Remote that can control time and room. Anyways, like I said. SMG1 and SMG2 are lame.
   
6. Axol: The Reason I hate Axol is because how he lost his personality. In his first appearances he was actually alright A artist who was passionate about his work and kept his cool. But then he was used for a Romance Plot and after was killed as a sacirifice in the genesis arc after that. Probably because the Producers didn't know what to do with him anymore. Why do you have to kill a Character when it was no use anymore? They could have just made Axol move back to Japan instead of killing him or not make him appear anymore. There are so many SMG4 characters that aren't used anymore, which didn't get killed and people were fine. Anyways, let's head to Number 3.
   
7. Peach: I hate Princess Peach from old and modern SMG4. She used to be abusive and mean around Mario but that was still funny sometimes. For Example: Peach actually made me laugh at the "A Theatre Mario" Video but after 2019/2020 she just started to rage and yell at everyone for no reason which is just got more and more lame and overused. They probably abondened her due to how many OC's there are. But besides that I'm kinda glad they stopped using the character by not killing her. At least she's gone now.
   
8. Kaizo: Since we talk about abondoning Characters. Kaizo was also kinda abondened. According to SMG4, people donated 13.000$ for Kaizo. I am not sure if that's true but if it was then imagine how dissapointed people must have been. 13K! You could buy a OK Car with that amount of Money. Besides that Kaizo was kinda irritating but I still prefer him than Nr.1 Character on this list.
   
9. Melony: Yes, that's right. It's obviously Melony. The reason why I hate Melony is similiar to Meggy. Melony's first appeared in Christmas 2019 video as Watermelon but became more Popular in the YouTube/Replacement Arc and I admit that I actually liked her but all of this ended after the "Mario's Mask Of Madness" video and the genesis Arc. They literally turned her into a Watermelon Waifu like "OMG! It's a Waifu!". The Fans noticed that and even Luke and Kevin know it. They even made a joke about it in a video (I think). Like how the YouTuber SMBD12 said: "Acknowledging it doesn't make it any better. It makes it worse!". Melony was most likely created not because of Passion but because of Simps. I'm not talking about Fozzie. I mean it in general! ACTUAL SIMPS! Another reason why I hate that Fruit Waifu is because she's so unfunny! All she does is sleeping and being "cute". I don't remember any Moment where I laughed at Melony. I feel like they forced me to empathize with Melony in the Genesis and Revelations Arc. Watching Melony getting her Powers and using her Sword feels like a Zelda Ripoff. I don't even find her attractive. The Watermelon seeds on her Face actually look like Cat whispears. If there is ever gonna be a Arc where Melony dies, I won't feel a single thing about her. In Fact, I'm gonna be glad. At least she is appearing less. That's it.

I need to pick one by Tuesday, but if anyone has a question comparing the two I can try to answer. I bought the 4090 for the 16GB vram for video game development, but Best Buy incorrectly had the 4090 listed with the IPS display (which I was excited for).
The 4080 has 16GB ram, IPS display 165 Hz 500 nits, and the animatrix back
The 4090 has 32GB ram and miniled display 165 Hz 600 nits
I play games, and the 4080 kills it. I can play Helldivers 2 at 4k with 80% of graphics options set to max and usually get 50 - 60 fps. Some dips to the 40s, but very rare, and usually due to environments, so during fights it's fine. I usually play on difficult 7 or 8, getting 400 - 500 kills a match now.
I bought both open box, although I swear the 4080 was 100% new - everything was sealed.
Battery
The main thing I want is a long battery life in linux. If anyone has a battery life test, lmk. Using GHelper Silent + Eco + 60 Hz + 10% brightness + windows battery saver on both (multi zone off on the 4090), the 4080 discharge seems to be around 6.2 watts with a low of 5.2, while the 4090 discharge is more like 6.8 with a low of 6.2. I might notice this, since most of what I do is edit text. I'm surprised the difference is so high. If you average 9 - 10 watts battery use, it seems like the 4090 is using 0.5 - 1 watt more power -> 6 to 11% more power use -> assuming 8 hours of battery, you get 29 to 48 minutes less battery.
OH! But the 4090 has a 2nd stick of RAM. I'll try another stick in the 4080 and see what happens, but for now I'll assume the miniLED eats less than 25 minutes of battery. Which is "fine", since I usually have a laptop-capable battery bank on me anyways.
I just enabled multi zone, and the discharge of the 4090 has been hovering at 6.2 - 6.5 watts (I'm not using it - just firefox, GHelper, and a settings menu are open). So disabling multi zone seems to have no effect. I'm typing this on the 4080, same things open, and the 4080 is at 6.1 watts.
After finishing writing this review: I've been writing this review and browsing the net a bit on the 4080, and I've only used the 4090 to toggle multizone and move the mouse some, and they are draining at the exact same rate - both are down exactly 20%. So fwiw, the 4080 under light use matches the 4090 at nearly full idle (screen on)
Display
The displays look very similar, honestly. I program in a font size too small for many people to read. I have great vision, and I don't like bright lights, so I thought I'd hate the miniLED blooming. The IPS display has better color accuracy, which is something I notice since I tend to run a solid grey desktop. A solid grey on the miniLED looks liked you washed it with your reds - there's just like other colors mixed in to it (multi zone is disabled atm)

I haven't tried games yet, but I might return the miniLED simply on color accuracy. I've been doing more design-heavy web development, and matching colors is a pain, I don't need another variable in that equation. This is weird - on the display test for the full black screen, the mouse cursor becomes a shade of gray.
So - the miniLED does much much closer to black - but it's not able to compensate and make the white mouse cursor white. Very interesting - and kind of amusingly bad. So, you get "blacker blacks" by sacrificing your "whiter whites"? You're not achieving a higher contrast ratio, you're just inverting the problem. Shame I'm not a youtuber so I can't break this news with a spicy title.
When miniLED multi zone is off, the mouse cursor displays fine (white is white, instead of grey). However, greys look much better when multi zone is on.
The miniLED gets a bit brighter, of course, and the colors pop a bit more. The miniLED gets a little dark towards the edges (not evenly lit); the IPS is very evenly lit. I've seen people complain about backlight bleed here, but my panel is near perfect.
The miniLED is less comfortable to look at. Like I said, I don't like bright lights, but even on low brightness the miniLED is less comfortable than the IPS. Maybe this is related to blooming - but tbh, I don't see much blooming - I feel like it's something to do with how the light is emitted. (Or maybe I'm tired and overthinking it.)
I think for pretty games or movies, many people might prefer the miniLED. But for everything else, the IPS is far superior. It's so funny to me now that everyone is complaining about not getting miniLED, when imo it's a bit of a failure that they passed off at a high price. Maybe later generations will be better.
What type of display is this miniLED? Is it also IPS?
I'm leaning heavily towards the 4080 for color accuracy... but I really wanted 16gb vram and 5 more fps in helldivers :( I'm joking about helldivers - I wanted vram for unreal engine, but I don't think I can work with these colors

So today, I went out to eat with my partner and his family -- his parents and his sister. His sister recently got back after studying abroad in Prague, but she spent a ton of her time traveling western Europe as well, and she got gifts for everyone from her trip to Scotland.
Everyone except for me.
My therapist keeps telling me that I have a found family. That I have people I can trust. But do these people really consider me family? I've lived with this person for most of the last 3.5 years, but I'm not even enough of an afterthought to spend $2 at a gift shop.
Am I really important to these people? Do they really care about me? Do I have relationships with them that are in some way separate from my partner? Or am I simply tolerated, someone who can be forgotten about as soon as they become inconvenient?
I don't have family. I have my sister and my partner, and that's it. And I don't even know if these people even like me. When my partner's sister was manic last year, she told me that she forgot that we were different people, then later told me that she and someone that I considered a friend have always deeply disliked me. She was psychotic at the time, but... Is that true? Do I really want to know the answer if it is?
My partner's dad thinks that I'm arrogant and don't have intellectual humility. I've overheard my partner's mom describe me as fragile. How can I tell if they actually like and care about me? How do I know that I'm not simply tolerated?
I mean, bf's dad told me a while back that he "love how much you care about this family." And his mom is giving me her car whenever I can learn to drive (hopefully soon).
But I always say something wrong whenever I talk to people, and I feel like this empty husk of a person because I can't do anything that I actually care about hnrik I can get on ADHD meds. And these people have only seen me at my worst. So why would they genuinely want me around? What the hell am I offering anyone? I'm this bundle of unpleasant social habits due to extreme isolation in my formative years, who plays video games and watches TV all day because he can't do anything else. It's not like I'm contributing anything.
It's just... It's so hard. I'm really trying to accept my life, the people in it, and the role that they play in my life. I'm trying to trust people. But I feel like even the people who love me don't like me or want me.
And it's a fact that the people who are supposed to love me want to suck me dry of resources, tell me that it's my fault and ditch to go find someone else to take advantage of (my parents and my 2 brothers, who I'm no contact with). The only people who genuinely desire my presence in their lives seems to be my partner and my sister (who lives across the country and is dealing with her own issues).
I hate this shit. I hate not knowing whether I should commit to these people, and being a part of my partner's family, or not; because trusting someone gives them the chance to betray you (and I've been very deeply taken advantage of by people that I thought were family). I hate this feeling that nobody likes me; and even if I understand why, it's still rough, because I'm really doing my best. It's just that I'm struggling, like a anyone would if they had my past. And this thought that people will only like me if I change... It hurts. Even though I want to change, I don't want to have to in order for people to genuinely want me around.
I can't talk to my partner about this, because it involves him and his family. I can't talk to his sister, because I don't want her to feel bad (and also, I'm not confiding in a 21 year old). I can't talk to his parents, because they'll either pity me or think I'm crazy. I can't talk to his (our? maybe? I dunno) friends because I might reveal how ridiculously sensitive I am to rejection due to my trauma that I'm still handling in EMDR. I can't talk about it to my sister because she's struggling with her own shit and she's super emotionally distant. So I'm alone right now. I hate it.

What is it with Liam and cliffhangers. Oh my fucking god.... It must have sucked to watch it live and wait 2 weeks or more to find out what's going to happen.
First with the Wall of Fire, now with the Dodeca. Caleb's got this "I'm NOT going to jail" attitude and it fits his character very well. After over a decade in jail, it's entirely reasonable he'll do anything to stay out of it.
Also, it's really great move to make when they're in that big of a clusterfuck. I thought they rolled enough bad rolls on episode 55 that they'll have great roles for months to come. Nope.
Nott had to use the Mote of Possibility, which let them sense something familiar among the group.This would have made the Kryn go through their stuff after they're arrested, so there's a very big possibility that the Dodeca would fall into their hands anyway. So, it was better for Caleb to offer it to them to gain a massive favor in return.
I was shocked at that move just like the cast there, but more I thought about it the more it made sense in a way. But I've just clicked on next video to see what's gonna happen now. The only plus in watching the campaign years later, I guess.

If you were walking through the woods at night ALONE, with only a fishing knife, and you heard wild boars around you - what would you do?
So I live in Sweden and I very much like nature and camping although I haven't camped a lot in my life. Last evening I drove out to a big forest intending to hike, camp and fish alone.
I've only been afraid of bears during camping, but bears doesn't live in southern Sweden where I live so I thought I had nothing to worry about except possible psychos (I've watched some scary hiking/camping videos on youtube lately).
After 2 hours of hiking through the forest, it was around 11pm and very dark. I hadn't found any good place to place my tent. I was using my flashlight on my head. I had to go inside of and go through a fence area / yard with cows and ONE BULL in order to find the camping place where I had set up a tent with a buddy 3 years ago. Back then there were no cows there.
I have no idea of what encountering cows and a bull is like - ESPECIALLY during night time. The sign said to go around the cows, not through the heard. So thinking that this is safe beccause of the sign, I began walking inside the cow area... After 30-50 meters I stopped. I never saw any cow, but I heard one walking or something nearby. I became very unsure and headed back to the fence opening... I looked up how dangerous it's to enter a field of cows and BULLS. And I immiedetely got out of the fence area.
My plan was to go back to a viewing area of the sea and camp there on a plank of woods just for the night and then continue hiking to my past camping place and fish the next day.
As I was putting on a long youtube video as background noise to ease my fear of going through the dark woods alone, I heard two sticks sharply break arund 10 meters away from left. I wasn't that scared, but I shut the video off and began hiking back with a fishing knife in my hand just in case.... My first thought wasn't that it was a wild boar - strangely enough. And I didn't think it was a human since there was a lot of dense bushes etc around me...
After a short couple of minutes, I suddenly hear a couple of grunts to my right, 2-3 meters away. The sheer fear running through my body - I've never felt anything like it. Adrenaline pumped and I breathed heavily. I did not stop, but kept on walking at the same pace - hoping that it would not attack. I remember my mom said she saw wild boars crossing the road once (from a distance) and she said she screamed and ran away (which you shouldn't do).
I've only researched about bear behavor and attacks before, NEVER wild hogs - so I had no idea what to do if a boar charged me. I had no idea if there was piglets around. I know that a mom bear can be very aggressive if she has cubs, so I presumed that was the case with wild boars as well. I've only got a fishing knife on me. I know they know about my presence because of the light and the noise I'm making while walking.
I continued walking, still very frightened. A few minutes later I hear some animal noise from my right that sounded like a piglet grunting or something - but from a distance. Maybe 10-15 meters away.
I was afraid that a wild boar would charge me from behind, but I didn't have the balls to look behind me except once. I felt like the guy from Avatar when he's alone in the woods on Pandora during night. I tried embrace the fact that I need to be very aggressive and stab and battle a wild boar if it would charge. Thinking that it was my best bet since I didn't know anything about their attacking behaviors or how strong they really are. Now, having looked it up, I know you should try climbing a tree if you can, if a boar attacks you.
A while later, the beaten path turned a bit to the left, and my flashlight struck an animal 10 meters infront of me, which immidately ran away. I think it was a small wild boar but I'm not sure. I only saw a glimpse of the behind and right back leg.
Shortly after that I had to hike up a very steep trail for a few minutes. My heart was pumping and I was breathing heavily - partly because of the steepness but also my adrenaline. I just wanted home. I thought to myself "Home. Home.... In my bed. Why did I have to go here alone during night time?".
I eventually completed the steep trail and now finally entered the small car road (with no street lamps). I had hiked through the woods before while trying to find a good camping place, but walking on the car road felt much safer and more time efficient as well. I was still afraid though, and still held my knife. Cars past me twice. When a car came, I stepped aside and hid my knife. It's illegal in Sweden to carry a knife - and I don't think strangers seeing me in the middle of nowhere walking on a small road during a friday night with a knife is gonna do me any good.
I was so so grateful when entering my dad's car I had loaned. While driving, I thanked God out loud for being alive and being unharmed.

Ok so a while back (2 weeks?) I posted about a Nikon FA I have that has this thing where I look through the viewfinder and it’s black because the mirror stays up. It went back to normal for a week and then I shot something today and it got stuck again. So I rolled back the film and opened it and what I was able to find out (although I know it’s risky touching the shutter, I had to) is that the shutter that is closer to the back of the camera doesn’t go all the way up so the trigger for the mirror to go down doesn’t activate. When I push it slightly up it goes down. Also I think the second inner shutter is a bit stuck. I have a video if any of you want to look and see what’s happening.

Getting Deadly Premonition to work on the Steam Deck through its native PC port has been an absolute nightmare. Thought I'd type up the steps here to try and save some of you poor souls the hassle if you ever want to give it a blast, but also, as safekeeping for myself in case I forget the steps I took in the future!
Following these steps to the letter SHOULD get you up and running. File locations assume you are installing the game to the Steam Deck's hard drive. If you are using an SD card you will need to adapt steps 6 and 11 to reflect the install directory of the game.

1. Install the game from Steam. Obviously. Don't run it yet.
2. Use the Steam settings menu, navigate to 'Properties' and then the 'Compatibility' tab. Choose Proton 3.16-9 from the dropdown.
3. Run the game and let Steam finish its installation. When the Deadly Premonition config tool pops out, just close down the whole game.
4. Head to Desktop mode.
5. Download this version of the PhysX installer. (version 9.13.0725 in case the link eventually goes down). Rename the downloaded file PhysX_SystemSoftware.msi
6. In the Dolphin file browser, navigate to: Home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Deadly Premonition The Director's Cut/redist. Drag your downloaded and renamed PhysX_SystemSoftware.msi here, overwriting the existing file.
7. Download this file. It's basically a text file with instructions for Proton which we'll be using shortly. The file should be named vc1decoder.verb. If you can't find the download link at the github page, look in the top right for a download symbol which when you hover over it reads 'Download raw file'.
8. In the Dolphin file browser, move the vc1decoder.verb file to Home/deck
9. Open the Konsole app from the 'start' bar (I don't know what it's called in Linux!) and type the following line EXACTLY: /usbin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=protontricks com.github.Matoking.protontricks 247660 -q quartz qedit devenum /Home/deck/vc1decoder.verb
10. Konsole will start displaying some installation data - if any windows pop up just press ok to clear them.
11. Next, grab DPFix from here. Unzip the file and place the entire contents in Home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Deadly Premonition The Director's Cut/
12. DPFix enables much improved graphics / resolution / texture injection / all sorts. You can edit individual settings by opening DPFix.ini in a text editor. Under the 'Graphics Options' section, make any desire tweaks - the file is really nicely annotated so you shouldn't need much help from me here. Under the 'Window Options' section make your settings read: forceWindowed 1 and borderlessFullscreen 0.
13. SAVE your changes!
14. Back to Game Mode. Use the Steam settings menu, navigate to 'Properties' and then in the 'General' tab enter the following command EXACTLY under the 'Launch Options' section: WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d9=n,b" %command%
15. We're almost there, gang! Run the game. When the DP Config file boots, click 'Settings' and ensure Controller settings are set to default - any eventual tweaks will be done using Steam Input.
16. Boot the game - after the company and developer logos play you should be presented with a video cutscene / intro. If this is playing with sound / video, we're just about there. If all is well, quit the game one final time.
17. Back in the Steam settings menu, navigate to 'Properties' and then the 'Compatibility' tab. Choose either Proton Experimental (not tested) or the most recent Proton GE (I'm using GE-Proton9-5) from the dropdown. This step is super important as otherwise controls will not work properly!
18. Boot the game! Enjoy!
19. (If using the Steam Deck OLED, cap the framerate using the '...' button to 60fps otherwise physics in game will be busted.)

Hi,
A few weeks ago I went to the doctor for a random small Lyme disease esque rash on my hand. While I was there I also brought up a recurring skin rash on my arm I’d been having for a while - initially this was a pretty big hives breakout that lasted about 2 weeks. I went to urgent care and got a steroid cream that got rid of it.
Since then, I’ve noticed occasional little bumps like the ones you get with contact dermatitis, but they go away quickly. I’ve also noticed this weird redness like in a pattern on my forearms, but it’s not raised or itchy. It changes daily, sometimes goes away and sometimes it’s really hot.
My Ana came back at an 80, which I know is not really concerning at all. They still referred me to a rheumatologist, and I’m not sure what other things I should bring up.

I have a few lumps under my skin in my neck, under my chin and near my groin area, as well as one in my wrist. I assume these are just lymph nodes though?
I always hear a grinding noise in my shoulders when I move them, they are tense and hurt and cause headaches in the back of my head.
I recently started having tmj and my jaw always pops when I open it. It hurts a little bit, but I can still chew.
I have a difficult time sleeping and will often wake up at like 330 and not be able to go back to sleep. I will often usually feel tired even if I did sleep well.
I feel lightheaded/dizzy pretty often. If I stand up quick my vision will start to go out a little bit, and if I’m in a hot shower for too long I will start to feel sick and feel like I’m going to pass out.
I have low hemoglobin and am b12 deficient/ anemic

Hi :) i’m 19 and I broke up with my first boyfriend after over 2 years almost a year and a half ago, our relationship was very up and down and hard to put into just one post but we had our issues and differences but overall i don’t think i’ve ever felt more seen by a person, i also cant tell if i’m just thinking about him this way since it’s been so long since the breakup and now i can’t really think about the negatives but i’ve just been really struggling with it.
Even when we broke up i couldn’t manage to delete any pictures or videos i have relating to him or of him because every time i try to i am hit with the worst feelings. The other day i used someone else’s instagram to look at his since i’m blocked (big mistake i know) and I saw him with his new girlfriend and i haven’t been able to stop thinking about him since and how much i do miss him. I’m scared no one will ever see me the way he did, being my first relationship and knowing me from 15 to almost 18 i went through some of the most formative years of my life with him and i really want to be able to let go.
Now I keep having dreams that i’m telling him all about my new life and the tattoos i’ve gotten and this dream has happened multiple times (i’m also on sertraline so my dreams are a little crazy.)
If anyone has gone through something similar or has any good advice I would really appreciate it since i’m ultimately too embarrassed to speak to anyone about this and how i feel since it’s been so long and i know i shouldn’t be feeling this way over someone who caused me so much pain yet made me feel more loved and appreciated than anyone ever has.

 First off I love your channel. I always watch your videos before bed as they help me relax. I know, I know, what psychopath can relax after some of the stories you read? It’s not really the story itself, it’s more like your voice is calming. Anyway onto my story. I have had many paranormal experiences, since childhood. I am an empath and I’m very sensitive to the living and the dead. Sometimes to things that were never human as well. However, this experience almost made me shit my pants. I was watching paranormal YouTube videos, as well as a few from your channel. I had seen a few where the kids call their mom “mother” instead of the usual “momma” or “mommy”. Usually because it’s not actually the child that’s speaking. As my eyes began to have trouble staying open, I turned off my phone and started to drift off the sleep. I heard my bedroom door open just before I knocked out. Figuring it was one of my 3 children, I huffed and asked what they needed. I heard my youngest son, 5, say “momma I don’t feel good.” I asked what was wrong, still struggling to stay awake. That is until he said “Mother, Mimi is going to die tonight.” In a voice that sounded like him and a grown man were talking in sync. I shot bolt upright in my bed and turned to look at my son. This thing was not him. It was the same size and shape but completely black and featureless. Kind of like his shadow would look if it could stand up off the floor. It giggled and ran out of my room back to the room he shares with his older brother. I stared at my open bedroom door, frozen. I knew I couldn’t just sit there, and hell if I was going to sleep. I got up, walked down the hall and opened their bedroom door. They were both passed out, mouths open, obviously in a deep sleep. The shadow creature had disappeared. I went back to my bedroom, grabbed my phone and called my mom (their Mimi). I had to call 3 times before she picked up. Understandable at 3:45 am. She sounded like she had been in a deep sleep also. I told her I was sorry I woke her up, then explained what had just happened. She said “unless a full bladder is going to kill me, I am fine.” I said ok and told her goodnight and sorry again that I woke her up. She said it was fine, she was going to the bathroom then back to bed. I felt a little better knowing my mom was ok, but still uneasy about the shadow child demon thing that had just impersonated my son. However, once I calmed down, I realized I was too tired to stay awake. No matter how creeped out I was. I was trying to get comfortable when my phone started ringing, making my heart almost leap out of my throat. It was my mom, panicking I picked up. I asked her what happened, was everything ok. She told me to calm down, everything was fine. She called me to tell me that as she walked to the bathroom, she smelled something funny. Turns out her gas stove had been left on. She said her and her boyfriend had been out late. They hadn’t gotten home till close to 2am. She made him some food, took a shower and laid down. Due to her being so tired, the stove must have not been turned all the way off. Even though the flame had died, the gas itself was still running for almost 2 hours. She said if I hadn’t called, they may have passed in their sleep due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Or even worse. Her boyfriend always smokes a cigarette in the morning before work, while he has his coffee. The whole trailer could’ve exploded with them inside. I don’t know why or how, but I think a demon/shadow creature saved my mom’s life. I just wish it didn’t have to use my son and scare the living crap out of me to do it. This post goes into detail about my personal experience playing MoP Remix as well as why I think it’s an enormous step in the right direction.
I’ve been playing WoW since 2005, mostly as a PvP player and mostly solo. I don’t enjoy being in a guild or doing organized PvP or PvE content, simply because I don’t like the commitment. I play video games to escape and have fun. The moment I have to “answer” to someone (teammate, guildmate, etc.) it stops being fun and starts being a job.
I have, and have usually had, a lot of free time on my hands. Over the years, I put in countless hours in WoW. That being said, my skill level is average at best. I have about 20 keybinds and I have DBM installed. I’ve never used a weak aura. The best I’ve ever parsed is probably blue, and that was in Phase 1 of Classic WotLK. Up until MoP Remix, the highest difficulty I’ve raided is Normal and it wasn’t a regular occurrence for me. Most seasons I would just stop at LFR. I don’t intend to get any better at the game than this.
Initially when starting my char in MoP Remix, an Arms Warrior, I was quite skeptical of what I could hope to achieve given my past raiding experience (or lackthereof). I took it slow at first, didn’t even start when the event itself started, completely missed out on the frogs and got to 70 around the end of week 1. I got a bit curious about the cosmetics, saw the Mannoroth shoulders, saw the bones only drop from Normal and above and thought, sigh, not for me.
My previous experience with pugs was mixed. I fairly enjoyed pugging Phase 1 of Classic, skipped TBC entirely then also enjoyed Phase 1 of Classic WotLK. The barrier to entry was small to non-existant. In Classic WotLK you needed an initial GearScore that was easy enough to obtain, and in Classic I can’t recall needing anything specific. Note this is Phase 1 in both cases. Sometimes the groups would require Discord, but only for listening not speaking.
The only other time I pugged was in Legion, patch 7.2. This was a significantly worse experience for me. Between Normal mode groups asking me to “link acheiv” and getting into a group for Tomb of Sargeras only to wipe at the second boss and people already saying “kick all low dps” I didn’t really feel like this is an environment I wanna be in for long. I didn’t even get to Raider.io and parsing, I already stopped playing anything above LFR before that.
Back to MoP Remix, I thought “OK, if it’s gonna be like early Classic, cool, if it’s gonna be like Legion, nevermind”. So I signed up for a Mogu’shan Vaults pug. To my surprise, no one yelled at me or at other people throughout the raid, no one linked Discord at the beginning, and we actually finished the raid. I quickly realized that the only real requirement for raids in MoP Remix is ilvl. You technically don't even need to raid to improve your ilvl. You only need a time investment, and time is what I have in abundance.
So then I did more pugs and started to invest bronze into upgrading my gear. A few days later I finished all the normal raids and got my amulet. Then I started to farm open world mobs every day besides doing all the raids I could.
Today I reached ilvl 476, every piece upgraded to 556, and got the Mythic SoO achievement + 28 bones in total from Garrosh.
Given the relatively low difficulty of the content and the ease of gearing, I know this isn’t much, but for me who didn’t think I’d even get one bone, that’s quite a lot.
Now you may be asking yourself what is the point of all this. The point for me is when WoW says all I gotta do to get the best gear and do all the content is to put in the time — not become a highly skilled player or commit to a guild or get a high Raider.io score or whatever else — just play more, that to me sounds like a good deal. It sounds like a game I actually want to play and finish.
It means I can treat the game the same way as I treat something like Path of Exile. I don’t have to be an amazing player in PoE to get Mageblood and do all the ubers every league. I just need to devote my time to it.
Speaking of time, my total /played in MoP Remix so far is about 90 hours. I only play one char.

I'm just so tired all the time, it literally feels like I can sleep all day. I have a normal sleep schedule, but everyday I just feel so exhausted. I have dark circles under my eyes and I have no energy to do anything anymore. I just lay in bed all day and want to rot. I feel suicidal, I just want to die all the time and it's getting worse. I get nightmares of him, not of what exactly happened but just of different sa from him. I feel like there's no point in going on anymore, I don't think it's going to get better. I don't exactly know what it's like to have a flashback, but I think I've experienced them. I have really bad maladaptive daydreaming, but I don't think it's that. It's like I'm there again, I can't control it or stop it or rewind it. It's like it's happening all over again and that I'm there and I can feel it. When it's happening I just sit there and cry and I feel like screaming but I obviously can't do that so I have to hold it in. My head feels like it's burning constantly too, like the back of my head feels so fucking warm and hot. Like my brain is melting. And I just want to die and I'm so tired I just want to sleep and never wake up again.
•The one big thing that makes me feel valid is that, when I was 11, my stepdad fingered me in my bedroom. I won't go in to too much detail or anything, it's unimportant. But the entire time he just stared at me and everything was silent, like he was waiting for my reaction. Our relationship has always been odd, so I wanted it. But eventually I got scared and told him something, I don't remember what it was but it got him to stop immediately and he apologised too. I don't remember much after, as in I don't know if he left my room or I left first, but I immediately went to the bathroom. Which was when I discovered I was bleeding.
•Around this time, for some strange reason I would repeatedly say to him "fuck me daddy." This would either be in person, or over messages. I remember once, when I was in school, I messaged him that. He told me to stop in case one of my friends saw. I don't know why he didn't tell me to stop for other reasons.

I don't remember who said it, but either him or my mum spoke up and laughed, saying that I needed to stop otherwise I would "give him a hickey." The reason why I wouldn't be surprised if my mum was in the room at the time is because she doesn't care about what he does. She knows everything and just doesn't fucking care.

Around the time of it finally stopping, I got mad because i was hearing it again (I'm unsure if it was due to me hearing shit or they actually were) but it caused me to take my bedding and go downstairs to sleep. In the morning, I was rudely awoken to my stepdad slamming the door open and storming past. He's not usually like that when people are sleeping, so it instantly gave me the impression that he was pissed off and the only reason I can think of is that he was angry I wasn't there to listen.
•He used to tease me for my paranoia to. As a way to discourage them from getting intimate, I would leave my door open at night. This happened around this year, but I was doing that again and I messaged my stepdad if they were actually going to sleep. It then somehow turned to him making a dig about how he knew I gets anxious at night and when I asked why he sent me "In case me and your mam have sex. 😜" Before, I tried to resolve this issue by begging them to just tell me if they were gonna have sex or not so I could sleep downstairs (because I was gonna find out the hard way anyways.) And they kept on refusing? Which just gave me the impression that they wanted me to listen more.
•Around 11 again, he would often tell me details about his and my mums sex life. Like how he was always good at pulling out and the only time he would wear a condom is right when he was about to finish. But the reason why my sister came to be was because he just failed to pull out that one time and my mum refused to get an abortion. Another time, he went on about how him and my mother had sex during her period and how they had to use towels and they didn't enjoy it because it was too messy.
•I don't know if he did things before the age of 11, my memories are very faded and it's like there are major gaps throughout everything. I'm worried that he did, however. When I was very young, I remember having no accidents at all during the night. But then, around the ages of 9, I would have an accident basically every night and would get a lot of water infections. I know that's a classic sign of child sexual abuse, but I don't want to jump to conclusions or anything.

I spent a few hours creating a PS5 controller config that includes gyroscopic aiming of bows and throwables. There are just a few in-game options that have to be changed from default for it to (hopefully) work for you as it does for me, which of course from there you can tune to your own liking. Just FYI, the link is not blue (because it is actually an application hook thingy, not a URL), but it is toward the bottom of the post.
From my limited understanding, there is the unfortunate possibility that the sensitivity of the gyro might be a little bit wonky for people who are playing the game at a different resolution than I am (4K). If you are playing in 1080p, 1440p, etc., I would recommend digging into the video linked at the bottom of this post to learn how to pull the needed numbers from https://www.mouse-sensitivity.com/ to get the config fixed for your personal use. The numbers also slightly change if you are not playing with the maximum allowable FOV of +25.
For this config to have the opportunity work as intended, you must set the mentioned options as follows (otherwise Steam Input will not convert gyro motions to the appropriate amount of movement in-game, and/or you will be unable to switch between different arrows/throwables):
-All 4 in-game mouse sensitivities to 20
-FOV to +25
-In keybinds, set ammo types 1-4 to F1-F4 keyboard buttons (this post is also written with the assumption that all other keybinds are left at default, which is ironic since I typically take about an hour before playing any new game to rebind everything since I am a left-hand-on-mouse player).
-Gamepad sensitivity set to default
Here are the only known issues/inconveniences at the time of writing. It is not impossible I will discover others as I get further in the game, if I do I will update the config for myself and try to remember to update this thread with the fixed config.
1) Non-Edge ("Pro") Dualsense users will be unable to sprint while doing horseback archery. DSE users actually will be able to accomplish this by pressing and holding the back left paddle while aiming.
2) If for some reason you aim with left trigger, draw with right trigger, then cancel the shot by letting go of left trigger while keeping right trigger depressed, when you press left trigger again a light attack will be thrown out before you aim again. Doesn't bother me at all because the circumstances under which this happens in real-world gameplay are minimal/non-existent.
3) While aiming, the UI for weapon selection and ammo type selection are both displayed as if you were using a mouse and keyboard (because that is what all inputs sent while left trigger are held down are). On the D-pad and face buttons: inner button (right directional arrow/square) is bottommost options, upper button is option 2, outer button (left directional arrow/circle) is option 3, and lower button is option 4 at top of the lists that appear on the left and right side of the screen respectively.
Let me know what you think and if you discover any issues while using it. I'm usually a lurker but I am really proud and satisfied with how this configuration turned out and has completely removed any desire I had to force myself to play this console port with a mouse and keyboard for the sole benefit of performing better during archery.

Also, here is a link to a video that significantly contributed to my decision to go ahead and put in the effort to get it up and running; This video would also give some useful pointers if the gyro is too weak/strong for your liking and you would like to tweak it to your personal tastes. The two biggest options you would be looking at off the top of my head are the Dots per 360 and Gyro sensitivity options within the config settings.
