It discusses the challenges and the possible impossibility of true integration in the sense Europeans are accustomed to, and the geopolitical realities of the above on Europe and US-European relations. If you have the time you should read through the full study and its conclusions, but here are the summaries of each and their likelihood of occurring, starting from least likely to most likely.

During this trip he discussed my role in his life, and described our relationship more like a full triad (which I didn't think it was) and he came out as being somewhere on the spectrum of sexuality - which I was really proud of him for doing. When he came back he was saying how much he had missed me and wanted to catch up. Sheila and Bruce both spent the weekend with me and Bruce was way more affectionate than normal. We hung out together after Sheila went to bed, talked lots, and he for the first time he put himself in the middle of the bed and I spooned him. Might sound childish, but huge emotional impact for me. This just hadn't really been a part of our relationship. He still seems to struggle with the concept of kissing me though.
