2024.06.01 12:42 GraceOfTheNorth Strengthen our defenses during solar-storms and spiritual attacks

I'm writing this post to save myself work re-writing the same advice I've been shown in order to protect ourselves during solar-storms AND spiritual attacks.

Body protection

Solar storms are electromagnetic, our auras and body-electricity are also electrical in nature. We operate like alkaline water-batteries, which means thatwe run on minerals/salts/electrolytes and water. But we also need omega oilsto 'grease the wheels'.
Drink plenty of water and mind your mineral/salt intake. Seafood is a great source of the nutritions we need during solar storms and in general to protect our auras.
Stay away from processed foods, white sugar and corn syrup. Eat greens and try to get your protein from other sources than the flesh of animals. Eggs, milk and fish are fine, but factory-farmed animals are not good for us.
Solar storms are connected to a negative mental state. They weaken our defenses, make us more susceptible to illnesses and drain our energy. Faraday cages and radiation shields do work, they can be created fairly easily with aluminum foil glued on cardboard (shiny side up/out). I know it sounds silly but it really does work and is better than crawling into the fridge lol

Spiritual protection

Pray every day and ask for protection and help. Bless your ancestors and your family, ask for blessings and light. Ask for support to keep unwanted entities out of your home and ask your religious entities for protection.
As a Christian I ask Jesus Christ for protection, I ask Mary and the angels for protection, I ask specific saints for protection and I ask god and creation for protection. I also ask my ancestors for protection and I bless them and speak out loud that I ask that any curses or entities that have attached themselves to me or my family be released from us and let into the light or sent to their origins.
I wear a cross around my neck but you should use the protective symbol of your choice. It can be a family heirloom or other kind of protection symbols.
Pray The Lord's Prayer daily, the "Pater Noster" in your language. Meditate at will.

Home protection

Please follow the steps for 'cleaning house' Use salt, water and verbal commands.
There seems to be universal law in order that forbids non-human (non-ghost) entities to mess with us directly and if we order them away they have to comply.
  1. Order any entity or energy that doesn't support you or your family out of your house in the name of the lord, Jesus Christ (if you're Chrisian, otherwise your own religious protectors)
  2. Physically protect your house with a line of regular salt at every entrance or window. Place a carafe/glass or crystal bottle of fresh water in every window.
make sure that the lines of salt stay in place and switch out the water in the carafes regularly, it should contain 'living water' i.e. fresh water so let the tap run a bit and fill with cool, fresh water.
I've found open glasses are better at extracting stuff from the atmosphere but crystal carafes are better at charging the room when the sunlight shines through the bottle. Don't drink the water or water your plants with it, dunk it and fill with fresh water regularly.
  1. Order everything out of your house again in the name of Jesus Christ and the angels or whomever you feel are your protectors (see above). Ask the angels and your ancestors for help to protect your home.
Repeat as needed.

2024.06.01 12:42 RyanTale Does it count if I finish the layout of Arcane instead of the actual level?

I want my next hardest level to be Arcane since I think it's a really cool level but I can't get above 30 fps on the actual level. I could handle that but I want to record the completion so there would be frequent lag spikes. If I finish the layout that was uploaded that has much less detail, does it still count?

2024.06.01 12:05 Horror-Cycle-3767 Semi-idle tower defense

I'm looking for a game similar to mobile because it's cool, but I fucking can't stand monetization
the game is Doodle Magic: wizards vs Slime, basically tower defense, but instead of buying cannons and other weapons, after each wave you get 3 random upgrades/new attacks from which you choose 1, in addition, the game has gem farming that you put in eq to improve skills and do builds
In general, the game is nice, but it has a shitty progression, because it gives little materials for improvements and gems, and the life/attack of monsters increases very steeply. It also uses the stamina system to play. I know other players can be stuck on a stage for a month due to how progression is without paying hundreds of $$$, and I'd rather buy the game than pay a monthly subscription and buy microtransactions

đź”—Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun Fun Shooting Kit

https://preview.redd.it/1gw8my1tcx3d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d4839cc8ac19cd99ab11d732cd622c9a47baff7
I recently tried the Daisy Red Ryder Fun Kit myself and had quite the adventure. Firstly, the set truly comes with everything you need for an exciting shooting experience. However, I must say, it took me a while to get used to it.
One of the key features of this kit is the renowned Red Ryder BB gun. It's smooth and easy to hold, but the accuracy was quite disappointing. I found myself missing targets more often than I would have liked. On the bright side, at least I could appreciate the classic design of the gun.
To enhance the shooting experience, the kit also comes with shooting glasses and a tin of BBs. I must admit, the glasses were convenient and provided some protection while I was busy aiming at targets. The BBs, however, seemed like a cheap alternative and didn't always penetrate the targets.
The fun paper targets provided were a nice touch, but the distance limitations of the gun took away some of the enjoyment. I had to be extremely close to hit the targets, and even then, it wasn't always accurate.
Overall, while the Daisy Red Ryder Fun Kit is a decent option for a beginner's shooting experience, I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for better accuracy or quality. But if you're looking for an affordable and simple way to introduce a young one to the world of BB guns, it might just do the trick.

I recently got my hands on the Parris Lawman Toy Pistol and it's been my go-to for all my Wild West role-playing. The die-cast metal construction gives it a nice weight and the vinyl holster and belt feel like the genuine article.
However, as a kid, I found the cap gun a bit tricky to fire, and the ring caps were hard to find. On the plus side, the Lawman Holster Set is a great addition to the whole experience, and it looks and feels just like the real deal. Overall, this toy is a fun way to transport myself back to the dusty trails of the Wild West.

I recently had the pleasure of getting my hands on this book, "The Colt M1911 . 45 Automatic Pistol: M1911, M1911A1, Markings, Variants, Ammunition, Accessories [Book]". Being a gun enthusiast, I was eager to dive into the world of this iconic pistol.
What stood out to me was the detailed information on the M1911's design, manufacturing, and testing. The book takes you on a journey through its combat use in various wars, with more than 370 images that provide a visual breakdown of the weapon. The serial numbers list and the visuals of the weapon's markings were particularly fascinating.
The section on accessories like magazines, ammunition, holsters, and cleaning kits was a nice touch, adding to the overall comprehensive nature of the book. I found the combat-related uniform and equipment items to be of special interest.
However, one drawback I encountered was the inconsistency in the captions of some photos. I was expecting a more complete reference on some of the markings and stampings. Despite this, the book still managed to impress me with its wealth of data and images.
Despite its relatively short length, "The Colt M1911 . 45 Automatic Pistol: M1911, M1911A1, Markings, Variants, Ammunition, Accessories [Book]" is a must-have for anyone interested in the history and development of this legendary firearm. The high-quality images and detailed information make it a valuable addition to any library.

The Ed Brown 1911 housing is a fine example of the dedication to precision and quality that makes this brand stand out. As a seasoned gun enthusiast, I've come to appreciate the meticulous attention to detail that goes into crafting these firearms. With this product, I especially noticed the superior components and expert machining that made the gun feel smooth and well-balanced. The mag well housing, in particular, added an element of sophistication to my 1911 replica.
While the Ed Brown 1911 housing is an excellent choice for those seeking top-notch performance, there are a few potential downsides to consider. One is the price point, which may be prohibitive for some users. Additionally, while the housing is designed for durability, it's essential to take proper care of it to ensure its longevity. All in all, the Ed Brown 1911 housing is an exceptional product that delivers on promises of quality and craftsmanship.

I was amazed by the GoatGuns Mini Blue 1911 Die Cast Model Gun, also known as 'Bunny. ' The soft light blue paint coupled with the ivory grips made it a refreshing change from the usual gun models. The attention to detail in this toy is remarkable, especially the movable parts that let you experience the real-life action.
The 1:2.5 scale made it a perfect desk or makeup shelf accessory. It even cycled the dummy rounds, which added a realistic touch. The magazine release with loadable dummy rounds and working slide actions made it even more enjoyable.
However, one downside I noticed was the difficulty in finding replacement dummy rounds. Also, the toy could be more durable than it seemed. Regardless, I'd still recommend it, especially for women who want to enjoy a unique toy or for those who value authenticity in collectibles.

In my daily life, I've encountered the Parris Manufacturing Western Air Single Pistol, and it's been a thrilling experience! The anticipation of a quick draw, with the sound of "1, 2, 3, DRAW! " resonating in the air, is unmatched. The pistol air gun, complete with 5 darts and a holder, feels solid and sturdy in my hands.
What stood out to me was the accuracy of the shots. The air pistol is quick and accurate, a perfect blend for a fun and engaging target practice. However, I noticed that the darts struggled to stick to a target beyond 5 feet, requiring a bit of adjustment in aiming higher.
Despite this minor drawback, the nostalgic charm and excitement that come with using the Parris Manufacturing Western Air Single Pistol make it a standout choice for a fun and engaging pastime. Don't be caught off guard when someone says "Draw! " - be prepared with this quick and accurate air pistol in your holster!

I recently stumbled upon the Teanfa Classic Foam Play Toy Gun Colt 1911, and let me tell you, it's a hit with kids and adults alike! The first thing that struck me was the impressive attention to detail. With its realistic dimensions, it felt just like holding a real Colt 1911. The soft bullets are perfect for a fun outdoor game with kids, and the fact that they're completely harmless makes it a great choice for families with younger children.
While I was initially skeptical about the toy's safety, the realistic design actually makes it a great tool for teaching kids about gun safety. The set also comes with a tactical holster, which adds even more authenticity to the experience. The only downside I found was that the foam bullets can be a bit hard to load, but that's a small price to pay for the overall fun and education this product provides.

Recently, I found myself with an old M1911 pistol, and I needed a comprehensive guide to understand and maintain it. The Automatic Pistol, Caliber. 45 M1911 and M1911a1: Basic Field Manual quickly became my go-to book. With its rich history and detailed design schematics, I was able to disassemble, assemble, clean, and maintain my pistol like a pro.
The book not only covers the basics of the pistols but also provides valuable information on ammunition and marksmanship techniques. The best part? . The book is a facsimile reprint of an old edition, giving it a unique charm and feel.
While the layout could use a revamp, the content is invaluable to anyone who wants to get the most out of their M1911.

With its 9.5-inch overall length, this replica is an impressive reproduction of a legendary piece.
The metal construction gives it a sturdy and reliable feel, while the nickel finish adds a touch of elegance. The simulated mechanism of loading and firing adds to the authenticity and excitement of the experience. I've been using the Parris Toys Over Under Toy Pistol for a while, and it's quite an interesting piece. The replica gun looks pretty cool, with the required colors as per the law, and a solid one-piece wood stock. It's also fascinating to see how the toy has been designed after the original pistols, complete with a die-cast metal body and plastic parts.
However, there were a couple of moments I faced a bit of frustration. For one, holding the pistol isn't the most comfortable, thanks to the small size and lack of a proper handle. It feels more like a toy than a replica, especially considering you need tiny hands to hold it properly.
On the bright side, the safety features are spot-on, making it impossible to alter the gun for any other purpose than what it's designed for - a cap-shooting toy. Overall, while it's not the most comfortable to hold, it's a great choice for collectors, and it certainly gets the job done for all those who appreciate the thrill of shooting caps.

As a kid, I remember dreaming of being an outlaw in the Wild West, and the Outlaw Pistol brought that dream to life. Crafted with solid die-cast metal and quality plastic, it feels like a real antique gun, just like those used by the famous outlaws of the era. The 12 shot action ring caps provide a satisfying bang that's thrilling and safe.
The holster and belt set add that authentic touch, making it more than just a toy. While the plastic handle may not be the most durable, it's still functional and adds a unique look to the pistol. I did find the size a bit small for my hand, but it works perfectly for my son, who absolutely loves it. Overall, the Outlaw Pistol is a great choice for anyone looking to relive the glory days of the Wild West.

In my hands, the Cap Gun Gonher REV-80 felt like a piece of history. With its detailed 1911 army style design, it had an authentic feel that let me step into the shoes of a bygone era. The die-cast metal construction and grips made it durable and comfortable to hold. The 8-shot ring caps added a sense of excitement with each shot, making it fun to use.
However, it did come with its own set of limitations, as a replica that couldn't be altered to shoot a projectile. The law-required color markings and the permanently attached orange plug reminded me that this was a toy first and foremost. Though it might not have been everyone's cup of tea, those who appreciated collecting and using replica firearms found it to be a delight.

2024.06.01 09:00 coinfeeds-bot Today's Top #2: Ethereum Price Forecast: ETH Eyes $4,500 as Transactions Surge 240%

tldr; Ethereum's price has maintained support at $3,800 despite a cooling in investor activity ahead of upcoming US non-farm jobs data. On-chain data shows a 240% surge in average transaction size since the approval of an Ethereum ETF, indicating strong bullish sentiment and increased market liquidity. This surge could potentially drive Ethereum's price above $4,500 if the non-farm jobs data positively impacts the market. However, Ethereum faces resistance at $4,200, where many holders acquired their ETH. A failure to maintain the $3,700 support level could lead to a decline towards $3,560.

2024.06.01 08:22 FactoryBuilder Any reasons why my BigReactor is extremely hot, way hotter than the simulation said it would be?

The design
The in-game stats
The inside of the reactor is filled with destabilized redstone, no flowing blocks only source blocks. There are 3 other controllers, 28 other fluid ports, and 6 other fuel ports on the reactor but that shouldn't affect it's performance, should it? I cannot think of a single reason why it's massively outside of a reasonable temp.
This is in Agrarian Skies 2 on the Technic launcher. Maybe the modpack messed with some numbers?

Vehicle Voltron I: The Mightiest of Saviors Rise Story Treatment
The Logline
In the Near Universe, an experimental carrier-battleship hybrid starship under the command of fifteen crack space explorers from the Galaxy Alliance of Earth comes under assault by the evil Drule Empire. On a faraway planet, they find fifteen vehicles which combine into the evil-fighting giant humanoid robot - Vehicle Voltron.
Main Characters
1) JEFF ♂ - Pilot of the Command Jet Explorer #1 which forms the head of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Jeff Aki Manabu. Being the leader of the entire Vehicle Voltron Force and commander of the Air Team, Jeff is head-strong, occasionally quick-tempered, yet still a great fighter and a very capable leader, even if he does not always follow the rules. During his time at Galaxy Alliance Academy, Jeff was one of the first to ever beat the no-win scenario test entitled the G.A.S. Zodiac simulation - by reprogramming the simulation to make it possible to rescue the ship and its people. A major source of contention with his peers in the Sea Team's Krik and Land Team's Cliff is Jeff's continuous scoffs at no-win scenarios trying to one-up his older sister Janet.
2) KRIK ♂ - Pilot of the Communications Module #6 which forms the torso midriff section of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Krik Miranda Keats. Hailing from the water planet of Dulcinea (Mu Arae c) with a light blue skin tone and pointed ears, Krik is appropriately the leader of the Sea Team. Speaking with an alien dialect (which can be approximated to possibly being played by an Indian), he has clairvoyant powers that tells him when something bad happens or will happen. Of the five members of the Sea Team, it is Krik who keeps a cool head and is quick-thinking when situations call for it – particularly when he is at the receiving end of a gun or when the security of Voltron Force is compromised. He will often share drinks with the others in victory times.
3) CLIFF ♂ - Pilot of the Jet Radar Station #11 which forms the lower torso and hips of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Walter Clifford Jack. An accomplished sportsman and former racing driver who won many circuits in Australian touring car championships before joining the Galaxy Alliance, he can at times be bad-tempered and reckless. Cliff studied at Sydney University before transferring to Galaxy Alliance Academy, where his own nigh impetuousness led to a clash with authorities over the launching (and subsequent crash) of an unsanctioned rocket he built. Hawkins took charge of the situation, steering the interest toward constructive ends, with Cliff now serving with the Vehicle Voltron Force's Land Team. But sometimes he misses the old days of his racing.
4) ZANDEE ♂ - Pilot of the Multi-Wheeled Explorer #10 forming the left lower leg of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Zandee Barros Carateja. Born to a Boston astronomer father and Brazilian mother, Zandee is boyishly handsome, still long in the process of maturing. An unusual combination, he has inherited from his father the mathematical ability and navigation sense from his mother. He is a phenomenally brilliant mathematician and space theorist. But he has also inherited his mother's Latin temperament, fighting what is his perpetual and highly personalized battle with his technology, suspecting that space is engaging in a gargantuan conspiracy to make his professional and personal life as difficult and uncomfortable as possible in both life and love.
5) CHIP ♂ - Pilot of the blue Advanced Recon Helicopter #4 forming the left upper arm of the Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Chipley Yasuo Mutsu Stoker, and the twin brother of Darrell Hiroshi Suzuishi "Pidge" Stoker or "Pidge I", the first Paladin of Lion Voltron's Green Lion of Forest. Chip is very much the youngest member at 13 of the Vehicle Voltron Force. He can best be described as the brains of the Vehicle Voltron Force, much like his brother Pidge I is or will be to the Lion Voltron Force in the Denubian Galaxy (Far Universe). When he is not tinkering with inventions or fawning over technology and displays of data, Chip spends most of his time with Rocky in trying to find suitable soul mates for Jeff, Cliff and Krik so that they can keep all their stress down.
6) MARVIN ♂ - Pilot of the yellow All-Terrain Space Vehicle #14 which forms the right foot of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Marvin Tasuku Izu. A good friend of Hutch's since childhood and both being members of the Land Team, the two can often be seen together, either playing cards or brawling with each other. Marvin is usually comedic, with his sense of humor being on par with that of Shannon and Cliff's in riling up Jeff and Krik. During most of the operations the Vehicle Voltron Force takes part in, Marvin's specialist expertise is in Demolition, Heavy Lifting and Logistics which he sometimes cracks jokes that are sometimes inappropriate only because he is able to do it so well for such a long time. But his jokes have even started to bug Lance.
7) GINGER ♀ - Pilot of the Falcon Jet Fighter #5 which forms the chest plate of Vehicle Voltron. Her full name is Patricia Ginger Ellington. She is a strong and brave pilot, who has always tried to fight the good fight and to this day maintains a distrust of the arrogance of science ever since seeing her family destroyed in an starship crash when she was young. She is smitten towards her Air Team commander Jeff, and the two still maintain a close professional relationship. With that said, she certainly doesn't hide her jealousy when another woman shows any affection towards him, married or otherwise. When not in the heat of battle, Ginger likes to spend her downtime shopping, hanging out with friends, or helping Cinda and Lisa with science and cartography.
8) LISA ♀ - Pilot of the red Space Prober #7 which forms the left thigh of Vehicle Voltron. Her full name is Lisa Haruka Kaga. She is very knowledgeable in ancient cultures, and always seems to know the right thing to say to others. Born on the colony world of New San Diego, Lisa was enamored with the ocean and all its native forms of life at a young age. This led to her entering the 2976 Olympic Games, and at 16 years old, became the youngest human of the Galaxy Alliance era not from Earth to win the Gold medal in the 400 meter backstroke event. Possessing an unyielding affinity for the undersea animals and environment, this makes Lisa a perfect choice for the Vehicle Voltron Force's Sea Team, as she is able to urgently take command if Krik is unable to.
9) CINDA ♀ - Pilot of the Rotating Personnel Carrier #12 which forms the right forearm of Vehicle Voltron. Her full name is Cinda Moya Qiligasz. Like Lisa, she too is kind and emotional, especially when it comes to nature. She is a Dulcinean like Krik, and the two are the main psychics and mystics of the entire Vehicle Voltron Force. It would not show up on Krik's file, but Cinda was often the only friend he had growing up back on Dulcinea, as young Dulcineans have their fears like human children have of monsters under the bed. Krik often had to have his fears reined in by Cinda, who vowed to banish all the monsters from peoples' lives so that they would not have to suffer like both she and Krik had to suffer. Even as an Alliance world, Dulcinea has hard times for Cinda.
10) WOLO ♂ - Pilot of the red Advanced Recon Helicopter #3 forming the right upper arm of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Shota Wolo Kreutz. He is a blue-skinned Galilean of the Galileo (Kepler-451b) system who is a noted scholar of astronomy and has authored several of the most popular accredited astronomy textbooks in use by the Galaxy Alliance. He is a graduate of the Galileo Polytechnic University with an esteemed Doctorate degree in Advanced Telecommunications. Among his friends, Wolo is known to be exceedingly patient, kindly and gracious and possessive of both great intelligence and poise as the gifts he has inherited from his talented mother through which he is able to take charge at times. The kindness comes from helping raise seven sisters.
11) SHANNON ♂ - Pilot of the Multi-Wheeled Explorer #9 which forms the right lower leg of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Shannon Tatsuo Izumo Cochrane. During his childhood, he piloted a deep-sea bathyscaphe to investigate marine farming methods in making food production on various worlds possible. Of all the Vehicle Voltron Force, Shannon tries to keep things from getting too serious by becoming the funny one, which gives him a tendency to get into trouble with Jeff and Krik over his flippant sense of humor. Even so, he chooses to fight for nobler causes than himself, as his brother was just taken to be a prisoner of what will be known as the Drule Empire on its tribute vassal world of Galra (Planet Doom) in the Denubian Galaxy (Far Universe).
12) HUTCH ♂ - Pilot of the black All-Terrain Space Vehicle #15 forming the left foot of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Kazuto Hutch Nagato. A good friend of Marvin's since childhood and both being members of the Land Team, the two can often be seen together, either playing cards or brawling with each other. In contrast to the comedic Marvin, Hutch is a regular tough guy, always looking for a good fight with any Drule that has the guts to challenge him mano e mano. Outside of space missions, Hutch loves to dance, listen to music, and wear the most extravagant clothes around. His strong, muscular build was put to the test during the 2976 Olympic Games, where he won the Gold medal in the weightlifting event to the congratulations of future comrade Lisa.
13) ROCKY ♂ - Pilot of the Strato Weapons Module #2 which forms the upper torso of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Rockford Kai Shinobu. He is the Brooklyn-accented member of the Air Team, usually described by the Galaxy Alliance and by the Drule Empire as the "Hunk" of the Vehicle Voltron Force, which paints a big target on his back for many of the Drule commanders like the Galvestonian Throk in the Milky Way (Near Universe), the Derinja Bi'Os in the Hyperion Galaxy (Middle Universe) and the Galran Prince Lotor in the Denubian Galaxy (Far Universe). He did not have much family growing up, so the chance to have a spiritual little brother in Chip gives him something missing from his life. He joined the Alliance to be able to make a chart of all the stars.
14) TANGOR ♂ - Pilot of the blue Space Prober #8 which forms the right thigh of Vehicle Voltron. His full name is Saluta Tangor Katz. He is as dedicated to his calling of serving the Galaxy Alliance on Vehicle Voltron Force as any of his shipmates. His off-duty demeanor is at times much less boisterous than most of his male colleagues, indulging in painting and playing the piano. Tangor has, in fact, composed a great deal of lounge tunes on the piano to play so to keep his shipmates relaxed and escape boredom. Some of his tunes he is compiling to be sold as an easy listening album. His and Wolo's species is the blue-skinned Galileans from their planet Galileo (Kepler-451b), who are very noted for their appreciation of the finer arts that speak to the soul about existence.
15) MODOK ♂ - Pilot of the Armored Equipment Carrier #13 which forms the left forearm of Vehicle Voltron. His full given name is Modok MacKenzie "Mack" Chucker. He is one of the few eldest active members of the Vehicle Voltron Force. Stern and serious, Modok focuses on the task at hand above all else. He acknowledges that his gruff approach can lead to conflict with the younger crew, though he always means well, and just is out to ensure their mission is accomplished successfully, safely, and professionally. When not on assignment, Modok is a self-described gentle giant like Rocky from the Air Team who likes to find a secluded spot outside the G.A.S. Explorer/Rugger Guard on planets and spend a day fishing and cooking whatever fish are caught.
16) HAWKINS ♂ - Age: 54. Acting Commander of the Vehicle Voltron Force stationed aboard the new Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer (the pride of the Galaxy Alliance's project code-named Rugger Guard). His full title is Commander James Shinji Ise Hawkins of the Galaxy Alliance. While it is Commander Hawkins who gives all the orders to the Vehicle Voltron Force, he is Executive Officer who answers to Captain Newley on the mission of the Explorer. When it comes to saving lives, Hawkins is always deadly serious - but subtly cracks a joke every now and then. He's so dedicated to the mission that he constantly remains on assignment, and has very little time for recreation, much to the disappointment of his gentler and relaxed commanding officer Newley.
17) NEWLEY ♂ - Age: 58. Captain of the Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer who is the Commanding Officer of and a good friend to the Vehicle Voltron Force's Commander Hawkins. His full title is Captain Richard "Dick" Asimov Newley. He regards all the members of the Vehicle Voltron Force as replacements for the son he had lost in battle, and sorely regrets his son's death in battle near planet Likon, along with the apparent death of Jeff's older sister Janet who represented him in court martial over cheating to win the G.A.S. Zodiac scenario, but was lost in a training accident. As a child, he was told of the story of Voltron and became intrigued with the prospect of finding it and bringing it back. Now it seems like that dream shall come true at last down on Likon.
18) PAGE ♂ - Age: 56. Science Officer of the Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer. Though originally an aerospace engineer (albeit an unsuccessful one), he becomes the ship's primary medical officer. He is good humored and always willing to give advice, but he can become deadly earnest when chiding others' behavior. His full title is Professor Michael Search Page. He frequently sips up coffee whilst moving around speaking at an extremely accelerated rate. Despite his bumbling nature, he is actually very wise and knowledgeable, choosing to learn from mankind's past mistakes so that they won't happen again in the future. Page believes that knowledge is the most powerful weapon from any species' history and seeks the knowledge of the universe for this goal.
The Background
Long in the past of the Milky Way Galaxy, the fifteen-piece fighting humanoid robot known as the Vehicle Voltron was known as Dairugger XV by the peoples of the planets the robot visited. Dairugger XV or Vehicle Voltron was a sentient being, renown across the galaxy for its feats of heroism and bravery. Ultimately, this led to Voltron developing something of an ego, as it challenged both a reincarnated wicked Zaar King Drolmacht Dolmen and the goddess Arcadia to battle it for supremacy. Arcadia, having sensed the egotism brewing in Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger XV out of simple ignorance of its own power and not out of sinister malice, defeated but spared the robot as she pondered what punishment would do it best to teach humility/sportsmanship.
In a rage, the dying King Drolmacht disguised himself as Arcadia and tried to destroy Voltron while succeeding at slaying Arcadia. With her last acts, a mortally injured Arcadia managed to save Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger XV by splitting it back up into its fifteen component space vehicles - five joining into the airborne Strato Fighter the Kurugger, another five forming the submersible Aqua Fighter the Kairugger, and another five forming the ground-hugging Turbo Terrain Fighter or Rikurugger - that when all are combined together form Voltron. They were flung through space until they crash-landed on the uncharted planet known as Likon. It is here that the fifteen vehicles will rest until the arrival of the Zaars' posterity in the form of the Drule Empire of Galveston.
The Premise
Historically, the Vehicle Voltron Force story arc of Voltron: Defender of the Universe was adapted from the 1982 anime series Armored Fleet Dairugger XV - but was adapted to be part of a much bigger storyline. We start the Voltron story as a Asimovian science fiction story that is about how the titular machines came to be, used to solve problems, and how their presence affects people for good or ill. Taking the team of heroes premises of the Japanese Super Sentai/Power Rangers series, the galactic journey of Star Trek, the swashbuckling adventure and journeys of Horatio Hornblower, and the appeal of robots found in both the Gundam and Transformers franchises, Voltron is ready to launch with the debut film of a potential cinematic universe of science fiction.
In this four-quadrant five-act mecha science fiction epic, the Galaxy Alliance Starship Explorer launches from Earth in the year 2981 on its mission to chart the Milky Way Galaxy and to find new planets for the Alliance to colonize or terraform to solve problems of scarce food and water supplies as well as both overpopulation and resource depletion. They are forced to land and make repairs on the planet Likon by the forces of the Drule Empire of Planet Galveston, when fifteen of its primary space explorers find fifteen space-worthy ships able to join together to form the mythical Vehicle Voltron - Defender of the Near Universe. Can they join together to stop a Drule attack that threatens a peaceful planet? It may lead to war, but also a step towards evolution.
The Nemeses (The Galvestonian Drule Empire of Planet Galveston)
Aside from normal human squabbles and quandaries that face teams of people trying to survive in the hostile universe, Vehicle Voltron and its team of pilots have to contend with the new horrible menace threatening the Milky Way Galaxy. Many of the Galvestonian Drules of Planet Galveston (also called the Drule Homeworld) fit the tradition of the classic "empire of evil". Most of the Drules are humanoids with light purple skin and red eyes. With fleets of starfighters and space battleships; as well as armies of tanks, super soldiers and Robeast mecha monsters, Galvestonian Drules are aimed at making the Drule Empire a major if not the superpower in the Milky Way Galaxy controlling hapless innocents, with only the Voltron Forces daring to stand in their way.
1) ZEPPO ♂ - Age: Late 40s/Early 50s. Species: Galvestonian Drule. Homeworld: Galveston (Drule Homeworld). Eye Color: Red. His full title is Emperor Zeppo Corsair of Planet Galveston. Like many a major and admittedly rather incompetent dictator, Zeppo rules the Empire with the fists of iron fury, sending others to do his dirty work and harshly punishing those who fail him. With how abusive and destructive he can be towards his many subordinates on a bad day, it is practically insane that there have not been attempts to overthrow him as of yet. A complete and utter sadist by inclination, Zeppo is willing to send his forces to capture slaves from other worlds and force slaves of his own people to fight to the death. His tyranny is only egged on by his followers.
2) ROBEASTS - Wherever one goes in the Empires of the Drules, there will always be such things as Robeasts to challenge the Voltrons and threaten the peace of the Near, Middle and Far Universes. Robeasts from Galveston (Drule Homeworld) sent to battle the Vehicle Voltron are humanoid monsters created through more advanced science and technology, most often from the prisoners of war that are reared in Zeppo's sadistic gladiatorial combat, though some of them are simply giant robots piloted by Centurion troopers. There is often a platoon of fifteen robeasts ready at a moments notice to travel with fighters, tanks, space battleships and or Centurion armies to lay siege to whatever may get in their Empire's way. The Vehicle Voltron Force must take great care.
3) THROK ♂ - Age: Late 60s. Species: Galvestonian Drule. Homeworld: Galveston (Drule Homeworld). Eye Color: Red. Hair Color: White. His full title is Viceroy Throk Al Caponero. Possibly the worst of the worst, Throk is at bitter ends with Hazar, and the loyalest supporter of Emperor Zeppo. It is often rumored that Throk is the one stroking Zeppo's ego to throw him off the scent of Throk's own attempted bids at becoming Emperor of the Drules. A natural-born kiss-up and backstabber, he lives for nothing more than destroying any "invaders" that could make a pass at the Empire and generally making Hazar and his followers out to look like fools, imbeciles and other pejorative words not to be listed. But it is his lust for power that makes Throk underestimate foes.
4) CENTURIONS - Say hello to the mixed organic and cybernetic shock troopers of the Drule Empire. They all serve as the central backbone of the Drule military forces. Their drones have no built in weapons, instead using the same weapons as their mainly organic counterparts. Drones are capable of squad-level infantry tactics and understanding vocal commands. These androids can somewhat resemble fellow Drules, appearing to wear this green-purple armor. In fact, some of the living soldiers appear identical to their own Drones. In addition, Drule Drones can be used for scouting environments full of every kind of hazards, are more durable, and have no fear of utter destruction to claim victory for Zeppo and the Empire. Some are known to pilot their Robeasts.
5) HAZAR ♂ - Age: 40s. Species: Galvestonian Drule. Homeworld: Galveston (Drule Homeworld). Eye Color: Red. Hair Color: White. His full title is Chief Commander Hazar Dorita Teles of the Galvestonian Drules. Hazar is an athletic fellow, able to dodge and move around quickly to evade attacks. This is despite his large size, topping at about six and a half feet. Unlike most other fleet and army commanders in the Empire of the Drules, Hazar is often a composed and rational figure who never has a bad word to say about any of his underlings. He is his own worst critic, as inside, he frequently doubts himself on whether an action he or the Empire takes is right or at least justifiable. Due to this, Robeasts and Centurions alike find him to be more approachable than Throk.
The Heroes and the Twist
Each member of Vehicle Voltron's three teams (Air, Land and Sea) of a super force of space explorers is meant to be reflective of aspects of ourselves that we all have been at some point in our lives - a class clown, a lone wolf, a young genius, a tough guy who is also a mediator, and that young person destined for life greater than their own backyard. At the beginning of the story, the three team leaders Jeff, Cliff and Krik all function as the Id/McCoy (Cliff), Ego/Kirk (Jeff) and Superego/Spock (Krik) found in the Freudian psyche. It is what they learn from each other that they all have to pass down to the other four members of their respective teams in order to effectively come together and operate Vehicle Voltron to save both the Galaxy Alliance and planet Galateia.

2024.06.01 05:47 sonimatic14 [Dollywood] Trip Report - First ever visit (5-31-2024)

[Dollywood] Trip Report - First ever visit (5-31-2024)
After years of missing out, I finally made it out to Dollywood. 10 new credits in one day which I'll rank in the park overall at the end, and mention any that crack a top 10 or 20 and so on.
We entered the park at 10:30 and we made a beeline for a roller coaster that's eluded me since it opened.
Lightning Rod: Finally. This coaster is the main reason I've never gone; fear of missing out due to downtime. When we scheduled this vacation I didn't know they would install a chain lift, but it was a godsend. We walked right on after a short wait with no issue, and the grouper conveniently gave us the front row.
Bad things out of the way, a launch would have made this a way better ride, because without it it feels like it's missing something. This only accentuates the other issues I have, including the short duration and the lack of any inversions. The ride also has some strange potholes but none that are egregious.
This ride is outstanding, for everything it is. The wave turn gives a funky pop of airtime while you crawl over it, the twist and shout is alarmingly fast, and every airtime hill after is bonkers. The quad down is outstanding and the best part of the ride. I have this as my 4th favorite RMC and is at #23 overall.
Next we did a big series of miscellaneous non coaster rides on the way to the back of the park. We did the Rockin’ Roadway, which is like a twist on an antique car ride. There's no gas or brakes, so you just steer. There's also onride audio. I'm not sure if the audio is different for every car, but we got Lollipop as our song. The 50s theme was really cute and kept up the immersion with Lightning Rod right before.
We got a snack in the Rivertown area. I got these delicious sweet potato fries with brown sugar and bacon bits on top. My girlfriend got a lavender blueberry sprite and a caprese panini, which I tried bites of and they were yummy.
Next we rode Smoky Mountain River Rampage, which was a pretty exceptional rapids ride in my opinion. Everyone seemed to get exceptionally wet except me, but I braced every time. The waterfall took me by surprise.
Next was Barnstormer, their S&S Screamin Swing. Very good, it's my favorite type of flat ride and I always get a kick out of it. The theming was exceptional.
Our final non coaster ride was Daredevil Falls, their giant and very modern looking log ride. The theming was very good on this one, and the appearance of the giant drop is impressive, especially the water cannons mimicking the splash. The drop itself is excellent. I got a good spritz of water on my face. Great ride, best log ride of the trip so far.
Blazing Fury: This ride really took me by surprise. This is essentially a cool firefighting themed dark ride with 3 coaster drops. I really enjoyed it. The ride was glossy smooth, the drops were very sudden, and the dark ride scenes were rudimentary yet charming and fun. Excellent ride.
Tennessee Tornado: This one disappointed me a teensy bit. Everyone has hyped this up as the best or one of the best arrows and they're absolutely right, but I didn't realize just how short this one would feel. It also shuffles a lot, but there are no rough transitions so I felt no headbanging.
What the ride does have is phenomenal. I happened to get a back row ride. The drop off the lift is surprising, and the big first drop into the giant tunnel is absolutely the best first drop I experienced at this park. Huge airtime and a big rush of speed. The Dolly Iron Butterfly™ is awesome and gives pretty fantastic hangtime. The last 2 inversions give really good positive gs, and the two overbanks are also fun.
The ride is over really quickly, and I wish it has a couple more inversions. If it did, I would rank it higher. For now, I have Magnum and Loch Ness Monster over it for my Arrow rankings, which is subject to change but it's how I feel right now.
FireChaser Express: I liked this one alright. I'm pretty spoiled when it comes to family coasters where I'm from (Everest, Hagrid's, Mummy) so I wasn't too impressed. The ride is pretty mild, aside from the backwards launch and a couple moments of wacky laterals, and the trim brakes hit pretty hard. A fun ride but not one I need to re ride often, especially because this was the longest wait of the day.
Front row didn't enhance the experience that much, which we got just by chance. It did make the drops on the backwards section pretty wacky, and made that by far the best part of the ride, especially after the cool themed elements and the crazy launch.
Wild Eagle: This one was a little better than I expected. We sat towards the back and the first drop was excellent. The inversions gave nice hangtime, but there were a lot of weird potholes throughout the layout.
The two helixes at the end were a nice touch to give us some panoramic views and some downtime before the end, without it the ride would feel short like Tennessee Tornado. I didn't like this as much as that, but it was still a good ride. I'll put it over X-Flight but under Gatekeeper and Thunderbird.
Mystery Mine: Probably the only ride I disliked today. This one is rough, even after its trackwork. It desperately needs new gen Gerstlauer trains with lap bars, because the headbanging is unpredictable and unavoidable. It's a shame because it has a fun layout and outstanding theming.
After this bad ride the group needed a rest, so we shared Nachos at Till & Harvest in Wildwood Grove, which had cilantro lime rice, queso, pico, and pulled pork. Probably the best theme park nachos I've ever had. The benchmark isn't high but still worth noting.
Dragonflier: So, before now the only Vekoma SFCs I've ridden are Freedom Flyer and the hang-n-bangs at former Paramount and Adventure parks. This one is a massive upgrade. The first drop, especially in the back row, is unexpectedly powerful. The overbank is also really cool. The rest of the ride is peppered with nice forceful helixes and floaty moments of non-airtime negative gs. A really fun ride to take off the edge from Mystery Mine.
Big Bear Mountain: I was a little disappointed, but it's mostly my fault for expecting this ride to have any sort of airtime. There's a lot of negative g force moments, but none powerful enough to achieve lift for me. Still, the ride is long, has silly onride audio, and the launches are punchy. Outstanding ride, one of the best in the park, and a way better family coaster than FireChaser. There's a really silly tee shirt (pictured) I kinda wanna get just for the meme so I'll see where my wallet is at on our next visit early next week.
Whistle Punk Chaser: I have no regrets. After my horrible experience on Howler, I braced myself by crossing my ankles and cushioning my leg against the t bar with my hand, so I had a much better and less painful experience in my credit nabbing. I really like the theme, and the train whistle that goes off at the end.
Thunderhead: WOW. This one knocked my socks off. I never thought I'd see the day that I get a GCI I like even more than Mystic, but here we are. This one I can't even remember the layout of, it's all over the place. There's so many powerful pops of airtime, unexpected laterals, sheer drops, tight corners and near misses. Best ride in the park for me and my new #9 coaster. Wish they had more merchandise for this ride.
We ended the night with a family style meal at Uncle Grandpa's Aunt Granny's. We got catfish, pot roast, fried chicken, veggies, mac, and potatoes and it was all delicious. We also got apple cobbler and wild berry lemon cheesecake.
Dollywood has a lot of strengths. Awesome coasters, great food, excellent theming, and a well rounded collection of rides. But what set Dollywood apart from the rest of the pack is its staff. I never had an issue today that was related to staffing issues, shift changes, poorly trained staff, rude employees, or anyone being inattentive or unhelpful. Ops were fast, food service was fast, directions to the bathroom were succinct, and almost every ride had a grouper to prevent crowding in the station.
Bathrooms were clean, paths were free of debris and trash, garbage bins were empty. We only had one breakdown all day (A ten minute downtime for the car ride), almost every ride had cubbies, front row requests were usually heeded, and groupers made sure as many seats were filled as possible.
At Whistle Punk, the attendant made a conscious effort to help me fit. For Thunderhead, the ops let us wait for the front, and when the people in front of us didn't fit, they let us get on instead of sending it out empty. I was never stapled unless they needed to in order to fit me. Lines move fast, every coaster that can run multiple trains does, and there isn't any stacking.
This makes an absolutely enormous world of difference. I've never had a park experience this enormously positive in terms of the sheer effort to put the guest experience before anything else. It's absolutely amazing. Because of this, I'm extremely tempted to declare this my new favorite theme park. I'll hold off until I get home, but there's a big chance I'll start telling people Dollywood is my favorite instead of Animal Kingdom.
That's all for this TR. We have a second day planned, which is mostly for shows, cinnamon bread, the Dolly Parton Experience, the train, and any rerides we can fit in. Here are my ride rankings.
Thunderhead Lightning Rod Big Bear Mountain Blazing Fury (Mostly as a dark ride) Tennessee Tornado Wild Eagle FireChaser Express Dragonflier Mystery Mine Whistle Punk Chaser

2024.06.01 05:46 gutierrezz36 I'm the guy of the Miraidon with +1000 candies post

This will surprise you, but I don't really have +1000 Miraidon candies, only 187. I said it so that there would be more interaction and my request would be more viral, although the real reason was to laugh with the comments. Frankly, more people have believed me than I expected, I will pick up the tryhard farming mechanics that it has been theorized that I used, the only mechanic I used is being a virgin. However, my message does not change, I have a crappy Miraidon with 187 candies that I cannot spend on improving him, although I have heard that they are going to implement converting them into eggs of that mon, nice! A hug to everyone, have a cool day!

2024.06.01 05:10 reverendcanceled 5/31/24 Fri 821 Israel, Blurbs, Satanic Witches, and a Public Service Announcement.

Looking at the meta-level, all that is happening, has happened and will happen is exactly as it should be and there is no other, is true. However, that leads to adharmic thinking. One must view life in the here and now, what it is to be done next. Otherwise one surrenders one's freewill, duty and responsibility to fate. That leads to mistakes, as one expects God/the universe/fate to sort things when it's your job. It also discludes the Mandela Effect.
The Jews killed Jesus and Jesus was a Jew. Fact or fiction, they are trying to make it illegal to say so. Well I said it, come after me. Let me also add, the Jews are conspiring to take over the world just like they did prior to WWII and the holocaust never happened. I don't believe those things but I insist on the right to say them. Free speech is not just any speech you agree with. I am now decisively anti-Zionist. I don't think Israel should have been ever made into a county, I would be happy to see a one state solution with Jews and Muslims having equal representation in a constitution based democratic republic. I think it's that or genocide (and I use that term loosely) that are the only ways that will end the conflict. Looks like Israel prefers genocide. It's not technically genocide unless there is a distinct genome in the area. It's total eradication by way of death, deportation, starvation and so on. I am not a fan of the killing of people for most reasons and hold that the death penalty should only be for treason and espionage. War is an absolute last resort. Israel is going too far in it's battle against hamas, just as hamas has gone too far. I'm also a lover of Jews, just not the only Jewish state. I had married one and the first friend in life I remember was Jewish. I'm really a lover of all peoples and a hater of most governments.
So far the doom and gloom predictions have been a whole lotta' hot air, but yet I got more for you. I think it's very possible China will invade Taiwan right around the time of the election to encourage us to vote Biden. War time incumbents have better chances. Another is that the next set of lockdowns won't be because of a plandemic but the planned multiple terrorist attacks in multiple cities by militant groups that have snuck or more likely as snuck in by the deep state to sow fear and force checkpoints, reduce "unnecessary" travel and to suspend yet more constitutional rights. The writing's on the wall, folks. June 6th is when the new airbnb clause for emergencies comes into effect and multiple gov't agencies in multiple countries are advising of stocking up on food and other basics. 2024 certainly has all of the potential to be exceptionally interesting even beyond the presidential election and the expected highly active hurricane season.
Blurbs (or very short thoughts): They love to control the narrative and I think it's time we take some of that back. Public schools should be called government schools. Anything called corrections should be called prisons. Inmates should be called slaves. Meds should be called drugs. All purpose flour should be called cookie flour. Assisted living facilities/rehabilitation centers/nursing homes should all be called hasted death facilities. One more thing to hate about the Nazi's is that they ruined that type of uniform. It really was sharp. Bomber jackets are cool too. How is it right that congressmen get 24hrs to read bills 1,500 pages long and then vote on it? I would like to see the FBI agent who brought Hunter Biden's laptop to the prosecutor become Trump's FBI director and the prosecutor become attorney general. I would love to see Tulsi Gabbard as the new Secretary of Defense. The DoD needs house cleaning as badly as the CIA and she could and would do it. It's at least 65 years overdue. Anyone notice that even though Trump was found guilty there weren't mass mostly peaceful protests even though the numbers of Trump supporters clearly willing to show up in person are in the millions? Youtube briefly fucked up their online platform. They fixed it until it was broke. It's now not possible to see playlists... but that only lasted a couple of days. They have messed up their strike program for sexual content relying on users who are hyper sensitive to content or bots. Dead internet theory at it's finest.
I watched a pile of very good tv series. Stargirl, a comic book series, featured very relatable and likable characters, none too overpowered. It's part coming of age in the modern smart phone era with a hint of 50's grandeur. It really should have run longer and tied in more the greater DC universe. Chilling Adventure's of Sabrina had all of the epic nature of Supernatural or Lucifer with similar themes and no filler episodes. The ending was all wrong: (Spoiler Alert) as they forgot about The Endless and how maybe he could've helped as well as the special grave dirt. If they didn't want this criticism, they needed to hang a lantern on it.
PSA: Jacalyn Ann Hanstein is trying to reach her grandson Noah Barret Hanstein: email to: [hansteinjaclyn@gmail.com](mailto:hansteinjaclyn@gmail.com). His parents don't want them to have contact but maybe he does and is certainly old enough to decide that much.
Top ten ways the deep state is impoverishing Americans. 10: Refusing to endorse right to repair. 9: Everything turning to subscription service. Heated seats in your car, all software and soon all hardware and appliances are pay monthly or you can't use. 8: Paying social security recipients less than minimum wage and penalizing them should they earn. A rising tide raises all ships. 7: Tax dollars routinely wasted on programs that don't work. The drug war is the best example. Mass incarceration, public private partnerships, even the government school system are all rife with waste. 6: Unnecessary business regulations, especially when it comes to the environment and banking. 5: Middle men for food at every step of the way. Everything from banning better modern fertilizers and pesticides; right to use you own seeds, big farms price controlling the industry and so on. 4: Charging for energy. We've had clean, safe, free energy for decades but it's been covered up. 3: Medical industrial complex. If we don't treat food as medicine we will need medicine for our food. 2: Student loans. I don't advocate for loan forgiveness but I do advocate for student loan reform. 1: Inflation. The federal reserve was a great experiment and the very best worst example of a public private partnership.
Music: a combination of sounds with a view to beauty of form and the expression of emotion.

2024.06.01 04:44 porkipine- Is it better to scrap a smaller idea if it doesn’t fit a large change or to adapt it to the change?

For an example I’ll use the story I’ve been writing. Originally the main characters would land on a deserted part of an island and be saved by one of the warriors that was hunting in the area, but then I changed the layout from an island type deal to a weird layered world type deal and the main characters wouldn’t land in the same area as before. The real problem is I have no idea how to implement that character that would’ve saved them because while I really think he’s a cool character I don’t see him fitting in this new beginning and layout

I just started a road trip that’s 9 days long, featuring 6 parks, and this is the first one!
Overall, the landscape of the park is very nice and the lakes make for some great scenic scenes. The crowds weren’t too bad, mostly school buses, so the park cleared out a bit after 5. Everything was running on one train except Tantrum which had 2, every coaster seemed open for most of the day from what I saw, apart from Mind Eraser which is closed for the season.
3x Predator (#76) This was very smooth for a woodie, especially where they did some work with Titan Track, from the second turnaround to a few hills later, and you can really feel when you’re coming off the titan track, but the rest of the ride still isn’t that rough. I got on the first train of the day, did another ride around noon and a last one around 5. I hoped that after warming up the ride would speed up abd give some more airtime, but that was not the case. It’s still a fun ride, but there is barely any airtime, every hill just feels slighty too tall.
1x Boomerang (#77) Definitely one of the best boomerangs I’ve done (4), about on par with the one at Great Escape, you can feel the train shaking but there’s not much headbanging, the layouts of those are really enjoyable when you don’t come off with a headache, which was the case here.
1x Viper (#78) Your classic Arrow looper, surprisingly not too rough, apart from a few weird transitions, which are to be expected. The mcbr kills the pace a little, but the ride is pretty long so that compensates for it. I do hope they continue to maintain it and keep it around for a while, always sad to see those go.
2x Tantrum (#79) Smooth as glass. The drop is amazing, the forces are nice, the restrains are comfortable, everything to make a great ride. But, it’s very short. It feels like it could have been double the lenght. This was my first Eurofighter, and I definitely look forward to riding more of them!
1x Motocoaster (#80) This is an amazing family coaster! The launch feels very powerful, which is only amplified by the seating position. The rest of the ride is very fun as well, and I love the way they designed the cars, it makes for a pretty cool theme.
2x Ride of Steel (#81) Everyone ran to ride this at rope drop, so I decided to keep it for later in the day, which was a good thing as lines died down a bit. It’s still the only ride I waited more than 20 minutes for, I waited 45 and 35 minutes for my 2 rides. Don’t get fooled by the line out of the station being short, I spent at least half of my time both rides inside the station, as it is pretty packed and the 1 train operations make it at least 3 minutes for each group of 2 to get on once you’ve picked your row. It’s pretty unfortunate they only have one train for this. For the ride itself, it’s very good, but nothing to break a top 10. The only airtime is in the bunny hills at the end, and otherwise it’s mostly straight track and long turnarouds, which do have a noticeable rattle to them. I have to say that the feeling of speed on the straight sections is unmatched. The setting on the lake is really nice as well.
1x Skycreamer The cycle felt longer than the other ones I have been on, which was nice. Also, the view is really cool, when you’re feeling surrounded by trees everywhere.
So that’s it for SFDL’s review, guess where I’m headed to next!

2024.06.01 04:13 trynamakeadolla Legion burned screen

I was playing farm sim on the charger for about an hour and a half. While playing the screen started to fade color and I seen two black splotches on the left side of the screen form and the rest of the screen went black. This happened within the matter of seconds. I turned the device off and let it cool down for about two hours and now there is visible damage to the lcd. I never did any thermal mods or anything that would change the way the device was intended to be used. I called customer support and they told me the cost of repair would fall on me even though I still have warranty. I would more or less like an engineer to look into the device and use it as a sample of how to make the devices better but the support team really failed me. So now that I’m here is there any suggestions on what caused the issue? How to fix the lcd?

2024.06.01 02:07 RagingBen94 Easy ÂŁ64 freecash.com offer: WordFarmAdventure

Easy ÂŁ64 freecash.com offer: WordFarmAdventure
Had a really easy ÂŁ64 completed offer on freecash. Took about 11 days of fairly regular playing - approx 60 to 90 minutes a day.
Game: Word Farm Adventure https://freecash.com/?offer=word-farm-adventure-android-koifxb&ref=e83489fe16
Useful links: https://www.realqunb.com/word-farm-adventure-all-answers/
This website has the answers to each level. While the layout per level could be different the walk-through will have every word that could be on the level.
I found the easiest way was to have the website up on my laptop and just cracked on with the mobile app, at the bottom of each page on the walk-through website should be a link to the answers for the next level. Just put something on in the background to keep entertained and grind through the levels
This has been the easiest freecash offer I have done so far.
Hope you enjoy

2024.06.01 01:34 Organic_Issue6381 My Addict MIL Is Too Much

I hate to admit it, but she's just so much to deal with. She's always on multiple things at any given day. Weed, kratom, alcohol, trying to OD on her other meds that she doesn't really need.
I just finished trying to help her buy an RV so she can live on her own nearby us and my SILs family. She had two specific phone numbers she needed to call on a page in her notebook of 9 other phone numbers all different ways, upside down, sideways. Covered in scribbles.
She said she needed to call the RV guy, so I grabbed his number from my husband's old phone while he was at work. She then put in the RV guys phone number and then asked him for his number, if it was correct and then asked who she needed to call. She then said she was confused and did the same thing to the other guys number.
I asked her what she needed me to do beforehand bc I could already tell she was fucking gone when she asked "not laptop, his computer" and meant my husband's phone. She couldn't find her weed gummies that were in front of her and couldn't discern the number 8 from the number 1. She had her new glasses on, too.
My husband just texted me that the guy called him and was confused. I told him what happened and he told me just last week she asked him to help her get off kratom, but then said she was suicidal and needed kratom the next day.
My SIL is a nurse and holds all of her mom's meds and gives them to her. MIL lives with SIL and "babysits" the kids some days. Meaning SIL has a baby camera in her livingroom to watch when she's at work in case smth happens.
I thought it wasn't too bad until we moved to their state. We bought land and planned on hiring her as our gardener so she could find some joy. She loves plants but has none. I thought if she was able to come farm with us, she would find joy in her life and wouldn't try to hide away in drugs. I shouldn't have fallen for the same hope her kids once did. They warned me.
I work at a methadone clinic and those guys are in way better shape, mentally, then she is. Maybe it's just their willingness to get better... It's so easy to get drugs where we live (like 40min-1hr away), I had a split, depressing thought after our interaction: how long will it be before she's tired of half a bottle of kratom, 3 gummies, and 5 beer bottles at once before she decides the needle might be cool?
All I had to deal with was neglectful teen parents, I wasn't prepared for this completely different feeling of abandonment. They had only told me stories of their mom from when they were kids before the divorce, before the... everything. I thought of her as a different kind of person. This is too much.

2024.06.01 00:47 marniconuke Ranting about how bad i am and how hard these games are.

I'm sure you saw Hundreds if not thousand of posts like mine, saying that i've beaten all the dark souls, bloodborne etc but nioh is just beyond me. I could never finish the first one and i'm currently stuck on the second boss of nioh 2.
I want to start with all the people that i saw claim this game is easy, that you only need to farm sets for new game ++++, that you don't need to grind levels, easy game etc. this game isn't easy, period. if you are good at this then you are a monster, a machine, you are a great player. you have good reflexes + an understanding of deep mechanics.
ok so previous experience with the franchise, i went pretty far into nioh 1 and loved the game but there we so many bosses i couldn't do without online assistance, and every time i felt so carried, like the difference between me and the people helping me were abysmal, i eventually dropped the game and it wasn't until years ago that i decided to give it another try and beat it without online help, i wanted to git gud. I remember the second boss being impossible for me, a literal wall, and how once a player basically paralysed the boss with some ninjustsu so i tried to do the same, but due to low level mine weren't efficient enought to do it, so it felt less about knowledge and skill and more like my allies were overleveled against my boss. Still, i chose odachi and kept pushing my head against the wall, and eventually the gameplay clicked, i was changing postures, blocking attacks, avoiding others and eventually i won, greatest feeling ever. I managed to eventually reach the ice lady, when mi skill just wasn't enough, still i was pretty satisfied with my run, i defeated plenty of bosses by myself, including those optional ones that you can't summon people, i wasn't able to do those before. and so, i dropped the game again. every time i try to come back to it i'm so rusty that i just drop it again.
Details that i want to mention, i already asked for help before, i know i have to break my souls abits, of hitting and dodging, but even right now on nioh 2 i feel that's so hard to do, because bosses hit so hard you can't really block them cause your stamina isn't big enough (at least on early missions) so i tend to go back to hitting and dodging, but using low posture do so little damage that i'd have to fight the boss for like an hour and i'm clearly dead before that.
So fastforward and i learn that nioh 2 is actually a prequel, despite hearing the gameplay it's better i didn't want to start it without finishing the first one, until now
And here i am, nioh 2, writing this to cool down, I tried a couple of characters and with some i felt the game wasn't hard (scythe) but right now i'm looking for the samurai/katana fantasy, but like in nioh 1 i just can't make the katana to work. the thing is i'm always the strength player in games like dark souls, and i feel like i'mnot half bad when i'm in my terrain playing with the odachi or the axe, but i want to get good with the katana, but it hits so little compared to the other weapons, even thought i'm sure it must be me doing something wrong. This boss is kicking my ass, I play on low posture to dodge as much as i can and i barely do damage, i play on medium and i can't dodge, and if i block my stamina is gone and i'm stunlocked, playing on high i'm just too slow. Items are the one thing that i do dislike about this game, same as with bloodborne, having to farm my healing items sucks, and it means that i try to do the fight with as little healing as possible, and since i'm not a good player since i'm barely on the second missions, i'm having an extremelly hard time, what's so bad about having 2-3 estuses?
Leveling is also weird and i never know if i should minmax or not. when i asked for builds i was told builds are pointless before a couple of new game plus anyway, it's not like i have so much to farm at two missions into the game. Also leveling, am i supposed to grind or not? how many times should i replay a missions, should i even be replaying them? are people good simply because they replay older levels over and over again until they become op? i didn't came to ask question and did it anyways so ignore this part. this is just to show all the questions that go around in my mind during these games.
And that's it, i love these games, i will continue to play them on and off, but i suck and them and it seems that getting gud is just impossible for me, i'm going to keep trying, maybe i'll beat him once i make this post, but damn is this game hard
edit: i forgot to mention, even normal enemies can be harder than some elden ring bosses, Usually those enemies that spawn with the mist (the monkey, the oni, the crow, the one with the hammer) i can only defeat them once i have the demon form, that's both for nioh 1 and 2, they are just crazy fast and hit too hard. i Really wish i understood this game enough to be good at it.

2024.06.01 00:32 chosakuken Replacing air conditioning while renovating rowhouse

I am in the process of rebuilding a portion of a DC rowhouse with about 2,300 square feet of conditioned space across a basement, first floor, and second floor. Currently the whole house, excluding the attic, seems to be adequately cooled by an old 3.5-ton Carrier air conditioner installed in the attic, and heated by a gas-powered radiator heating system installed in the basement (which generally works well but can be slow to heat when you first turn it on in a cold house). As part of the rebuilding, I will need to replace the air conditioner, and would like to make the attic air conditioned as well.
I have three different proposals:
(1) The general contractor doing the other work says that I should install two 4-ton Carrier Infinity systems 24VNA9-A003, one in the attic and one in the basement, plus a damper zoning system to separate the attic and second floor into two zones (so you get essentially three zones in the house total). He quotes $53k (or $47K without the separate damper for the attic) for all required work. He says having multiple zones is important to provide uniform temperatures.
(2) HVAC company 1 says that I should use a 3-ton Mitsubishi Hyper Heat MXZ-4C36NA4 system with a single outdoor unit on the roof, and three indoor units connected to it: a wall unit to cool/heat the attic, a ducted unit (SVZ-KP18NA) the attic to cool the second floor, and a second ducted unit in the basement to cool the basement and first floor. This would have the same zoning benefits and the advantage of also functioning as a backup/auxiliary heating source plus providing heating for the attic. The quote is $34k.
(3) HVAC company 2 says that I don't need multiple systems, and given the layout of the house, zoning would be a bad idea. They want to replace the existing system with a 5-ton Carrier system and keep things in essentially the same configuration. They quote $16k-$22k depending on the system (Carrier Comfort/Performance/Infinity).
But I am not confident that (3) properly takes into account the amount of new ductwork that will be needed with the renovation and new layout. Also, the new layout of the house may make running ductwork from the attic all the way to the basement difficult; proposals (1) and (2) would only require running refrigerant tubes so that one of the floors does not need ductwork to go from floor to ceiling.
Which one would you pick? Why?
