Languages Which Have Dental Fricatives
Greek- It has the unvoiced dental fricative only, which in Greek and the IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) is represented by this letter ( Θ θ).
Arabic- Most dialects of Arabic have both the voiced and devoiced dental fricatives. In Latin transliteration of Arabic, the unvoiced dental fricative is represented by "th" and the voiced one by "dh". The Arabic letters ث for the voiceless dental fricative and ذ for the voiced dental fricative.
European Spanish- The dialect Spanish used for science and academia in Spain, or Castilian Spanish, has both the voiced and voiceless dental fricatives. English- Yes, even English has these sounds, these are the TH sounds in English in words like with, that, and thistle. Before the use of "TH", both of these sounds were represented interchangeably by Ðð and Þþ, this P like thing by the way, is called 'Thorn' these letters still exist in Icelandic, but how did these letters disappear? Well, let's rewind the clock to the advent of the printing press, England imported its typefaces from the Netherlands, and the Dutch language didn't have these letters, till that time Ðð was dead in English, so Þþ didn't exist in Dutch typefaces, so they the writers just replaced it with a y. Just the problem was that y and þ sound a million miles from each other, so the types just started using a TH, and that is the reason, why you see the phrase 'Ye Olde....' all the time, that was not a Ye but a Þe, that was not a Y but a Þ!
Icelandic- If you couldn't guess from the previous point, Icelandic also has dental fricatives. Þþ represents the voiceless dental fricative and Ðð represents the voiced dental fricative. That's why in the name of the Eurovision contestant, Daði Freyr, that is not a fancy D, but an Ð.
Burmese- Burmese has the voiceless dental fricative only, and the character for it is သ.
Sami- Sami has both dental fricative sounds.
Basque- I have made a video about Basque, in which I use Basque counting and Spanish counting as proof that Basque is a language isolate, I also speak Hindi and Basque counting is nowhere similar to Hindi counting just so if somebody links Basque to the Indo-Aryan languages. Some dialects of Basque (not the Standard one) have been reported to have dental fricatives.
Swahili- Just like the Latinized form of Arabic, for the voiceless dental fricative, Swahili uses th and for the voiced, it uses dh. Just for my readers living under a rock and not being aware of Swahili, it is the official language of Kenya and Tanzania, it is one of the most spoken languages in the world.
Hebrew- When I mentioned Arabic, I forgot to tell you that every Semitic language has dental fricatives, and so does Hebrew, I don't speak Hebrew but I think that ט is the character for the voiceless dental fricative, and ͏͏͏͏͏ד is the character for the voiced dental fricative.
Austrian German- The Standard variety of Austrian German and Bavarian German have the voiced dental fricative only and is represented by a D, like leider (Source: Wikipedia).
European Portuguese- Yes, the dialect of Portuguese spoken by Cristiano Ronaldo, or the European Portuguese spoken in Portugal has dental fricatives, just like Austrian German, it only has the voiced dental fricative and is represented by a D.
Lakota Sioux- If my readers don't know about Sioux, it is a Native American language spoken by the people who lived in the USA before the Europeans and the Sioux are a minority in the United States of America. Anyway, Lakota is a dialect of Sioux, and it exhibits dental fricatives, the voiced dental fricative is represented by a Z just like Spanish.
Tamil- This is the language I can't confirm, as I have heard Tamil but whenever they speak English, they replace the voiced dental fricative with a voiced dental stop just like North Indians, but Wikipedia is suggesting that they do have a dental fricative, the voiceless one, and they use த but I have seen த being used for a voiceless dental stop, like in the word "Tamil" or "Tamizh" தமிழ், so I am not sure.

LA fitness has already fired her once before then they bought her back in September of2021
Reason for termination is unclear but was said to be discrimination against African Americans, Gays/ LGBTQ community and making anti semetic remarks but nobody knows for sure what the reason was for here termination, but it had ti be bad enough for them to hire her , Luis Maio one of her former sales his said “ I heard it was for embezzlement “ if that’s even true , since when did embezzlement become a re- hirable offense???????? ( again no one knows its that’s true except for the higher ups at LA Fitness
On one night in November of 2021 , a disabled employee who just happened to be a part of the LGBTQ community, came into work his regular closing shift 6 pm to 11 pm,
He was immediately summoned to a woman he did not even technically report to
The Witch/ dark haired sales manager who proceeded to tell him
“ oh you know Dante has been missing from the front desk for 10 minutes now, the disabled employee responded “ I’m sure he’s in the gym , maybe just using the restroom, “
Sales Manager the Witch response was:
“ oh come on now James , you know how THEY are ( referring to African American people in general) he’s missing in action by now he’s probably already home counting his welfare and food stamps balance” she continues “ you and I weren’t raised that way , we were bought up differently “ the disabled employee, proceeded to tell her “ I’m sure he’s in the gym and I’ll find him”, however you and I are nothing alike you are a racist and as soon as I find Dante, I’m reporting you ( sales manager ) to Human Resources “
The Witch didn’t care as she was just about to have this young kid fired for in her words “ time fraud”
In reality he was simply in the gym translating another employees COVID results tests from English to Creole!!!!
So the Witch comes running up to the front desk attempting to ask Dante “ where did you go”?
Mind you he was not even gone from the front desk but 6 minutes I checked the video footage!!!
Once I told her he was assisting another employee translating her COVID results test from English to Creole, she went back to her cubicle we warned Dante she had her finger on the phone and about to have you fired!!
And we proceeded to tell him that the witch said; you “ were probably missing in action already home counting his food stamps and welfare checks”!! Imagine how he must have felt extremely awful we proceeded to contact Human Resources and reported her to them snot her racist remarks.
They said “ oh we will look into it”
Did they ??? No, never !!!!
They allow her to behave like this and it’s been going on for years now !!
Mind you a good percentage of the members that pay her paychecks are African American or of Caribbean descent , in addition many of the members are of the LGBTQ community!!!
Obviously they are not aware of the racism there because if I we’re African American/ Cary, I’d cancel my membership and bring my business to any other gym besides LA Fitness but since they don’t know any of this nor do any members of the LGBTQ community which also many of the members there also identify as LGBTQ !!
So the front desk person who also happens to be of LGBTQ community, and identifies as such ,
Sales Manager The Witch decided she was going to send slanderous/ defamatory emails in retaliation for the front desk guy ,James , to Human Resources, all of which his front desk boss Frank went to Sales Manager The Witch on THREE separate times begging her and telling her to “ stop sending slanderous/ defamatory emails about my employee James who happens to be disabled, he additionally told her that Human Resources, copied Operations Manager Frank on her emails he to sales manager The Witch
Look , I reviewed the cameras each time and everything you’re saying in you’re emails are not in synch with my front desk video footage , stop this, it’s illegal”
Her response was:
“ no I’m not stopping until he’s gone “!!!!
Then she refused to speak to James in excess of 60 days!! James notified HR again that this was a very dangerous situation since on July 12, 2022 James was threatened to be “ SHOT “ by s kid Who was banned from the gym for brandishing a gun and threatening some minors to shoot them too!! Including kids in the kids club!!! (?yes if you have children , that gym is not safe , nor is the kids club!!’
James immediately recognized the guy ( Damien) and said can I see you’re I’d or scan in for me. Obviously he knew he was banned so James said you have to leave , that’s when he said “ I k ow what you drive you know how I roll and that I’m packing!!!
Earlier in that same Day ,Area Manager Robert attempted to “ Terminate “ James because he felt Joni and him could not get along!!
James said ok , I have no disciplinary action, and you want to fire me for HER behavior, go ahead. So we are going from a disabled very reliable employee being completely employed to terminated, james apparently told Robert fire me now or I’m going back to the front desk as it looks busy up there . Area Manager Robert said ok so you think you can work with her, his response was yes, but you need to at least attempt to correct her issues or at least make this a non hostile work environment..
He did nothing, James went back to work and that was the end of that , for now .
Later that same week a janitor went to Sakes Manager The Witch who also has a heart condition he asked her “ I need to go home for 10 minutes to get my nitroglycerin pills for my heart, I live close I’ll be right back less than 10 minutes “!!!
Sales Manager the witch told the janitor
“ you’re heart problem is not my problem, no you stay here and mop the floors!!”
Imagine if he had a heart attack after She denied him to go retrieve his medication he so desperately needed!!????
Then on another occasion another Janitor came to James fir some advice, Donna , apparently told James or asked James what should I do , they are asking all of us to lie in our depositions a pot a guy who seriously injured his leg in the gym due to LA Fitness being negligent for not fixing the leak in the basketball court !!!
Donna asked James “ what should I do because they want me to lie for them ( La ft)
James told her just tell the real truth because lying in a deposition could come with some legal problems for you and the others “ like contempt of court !!
On August 11,2022, James had a slip and fall seriously damaging his right shoulder as the members were getting tired of corporate turning off all the lights in the gym including the locker rooms 15 minutes before they even closed the gym!!
Members were very upset , sometimes they had started leaving the showers running, and had the shower curtains closed , leading anyone that closed the gym that there were people still taking showers in there in the dark , but out of retaliation, they just thought they could cause a flood.
I do know, on that night as James was closing the gym he himself had a serious fall on the wet locker room floor , was laying in a pool of water in the dark for over 30 minutes luckily he had his phone , called 911 they eventually got there,
There are no slip proof mats anywhere in that gym!!
When the paramedics got there they had to stabilize james with the neck brace and try to move him so they could treat him somewhere in the gym where there was lights, james said I believe the lobby stays lit until like midnight, but no that was not true either because in the lobby , as they were checking his vitals , the entire lobby goes pitch black, that’s when they realized the lights were being turned off remotely!!
So the paramedics said let’s get him into the ambulance where we can at least treat him . Do paramedics got him in the ambulance, transferred him to Imperial Point Hospital where they did a lot of scans and XRay on his head neck , shoulder and spine.
James was sent home the next day from the emergency hospital with only 3 days of bedrest, and workers comp immediately started physical therapy 4 times a week and had him seeing an orthopedic surgeon, who decided it was ok for James to go back to work on light duty . Provided LA Fitness follow his suggestion of light duty only and get a proper chair . So james was going to all of these physical therapy sessions, and de visits and still going into work! On November , 15, james went into work , and there was the witches boss , Useless was behind the front desk they were instructed by someone to find a way to terminate James because “ we just want him gone” so they enlisted the help of this young African American Girl Briana , and told her “ we need you to say you saw James do something wrong because we have no legal grounds to fire him we just want him gone, so being a young girl that was told she had to do this or lose her job , she had no choice but to go along with them . Mind you this was November 15th 2022 Yet they had already drawn up these falsified documents on November 11, 2022 They never even told the poor girl that what she was doing was illegal, they just used Jett as a scapegoat, then Fired Her the vey next day and Fired James via the telephone while he was still undergoing physical therapy and going to the orthopedic surgeon for his injuries!!!
James contacted the EEOC , which is overseen by the Department Of Justice, they did their own investigation and obviously after months of investigation they found grounds enough to issue James a “ Right to sue” .as Karma always intervenes, he was assigned the Witches favorite color Attorney, a senior Trial attorney who just happened to be a Harvard Educated Black woman!!!
James is now currently being represented by a major law firm for the defamation slander , wrongful Ty. And La Fitness failure to act responsibly when James was emailing HR begging them to at least attempt to fix the situation with Sales Manager aka the witch, as she was refusing to speak to him at all , even leaving out the back door just so she didn’t have to say anything like a simple “ good night” !!’ James was the only one who had access to the keys to the safest room in the building , in the event off an active shooting , yet the witch was not speaking to him, so that made the situation even more dangerous as there are also children in the kids club..
So then since James Workers comp case had nothing to do with all of the slander , defamation and wrongful termination, LA Fitness again attempted to mess up this disabled person’s life even more by offering him some extremely low amount of money and one of the stipulations was “ if James accepts this settlement ( and not for what he went through injury wise it was very low ) he would agree to withdraw his Labor Claim and not sue them for them making racist remaryagainsr blacks ( mind you James is white) and he said
“ no way I’m not accepting any amount and just forget about everything they did to me and the way they treat their employees, their racist remarks against Jews , Blacks, and Gays. ! He refused to accept hush money , told the workers comp lawyer “ well I guess you worked on this case for a year , for nothing , if you can’t have the verbiage removed , then you wasted you’re time hence you won’t get paid”
The very next day the Workers comp Attorney sent an email to his Labor Attorney which james by law had to be copied on , saying “ Dear Attorney ( fill in the blank) please tell me word for word which verbiage you would like carved out of his settlement offer “
The other Attorney responded “ everything pertaining to James’s Labor claim with the EEOC and DOJ)
The very next day .,, the settlement letter was amended and the verbiage that Jane’s and his attorney wanted removed was, funny how it was done so quickly, mind you they told James “ they will not carve out any verbiage for you “ hmmmm well they did.
So. If you’re giving LA Fitness you’re business , and you’re ok with giving them your money if you’re a person of color, gay, Jewish or anyone else they hate , then basically you’re allowing this to continue, because Joni is still there doing the same things
Lastly , like one week before they fired James he was like a hero to them for two reasons, 1 because he stayed at that gym with BSO when a woman was abducted in the Pompano La Fitness parking lot, she was thrown into her trunk and driven to somewhere on Palm Aire like a storage unit. James stayed with BSO until 2:30 am in the gym assisting 12 BSO officers!!Then that same week , on James shift, they did a corporate visit and got extremely high scores for greetings, overall an excellent visit , that his boss brought to his attention, then the very next week they fired him for “ Poor Job performance “ !!!!!!!! Kinda unbelievable, apparently they also didn’t realize that falsification of termination or any employment records was illegal and whoever’s names are on those papers , is facing criminal charges.
James happened to run into the girl they used as their scapegoat and had her lie fir them so they could at least have something on him to terminate him, what they didn’t think about the highly unlikely chances The girl they had lie for them and James would ever cross paths , well they did in a store in Pompano City Place while shopping !
Bottom line , James wants this to go to court in front of a judge trial , jury and MEDIA, he’d rather NOT settle , he wants Everyone to know what happened to him Plus how they treat their employees.
After plenty of discussions with numerous legal entities and Attorneys, they all agree that IF LA Firness consulted with their in house attorneys, , they would have NEVER advised them to convict a story and have another employee or employees to lie and falsify documents . La Fitness has options like for example take the time have a sit down meeting and figure out why the witch hated James, then simply say , ok if you hate him and now he definitely hates you , , Witch you live in Boca, James you live in Oaklsnd Park, would either of you consider the option of transferring??
But they Never employed any type of conflict resolution, which is commonplace in most ethical workplaces , but remember, this is LA Fitness, they have no logic or do not know how to resolve easily resolvable situations.
As consumers you HAVE a right to know what is going on behind the scenes at any business you give you’re hard earned money to, imagine if it was you’re child the Witch accused the young kid wiring the front desk of being on food stamps and welfare, even worse imaging if they had asked you’re son or daughter to lie for them and not even tell you’re child or loved one what the legal consequences were for making falsified statements or signing falsified employment documents which were turned over to the Department of Labor!! That’s an entire different legal situation they put themselves into . They ( La fitness ) thought “ oh what are the chances of them running into each other?” Well they did

Hi. Will try to make this concise, though it's complex.
I receive SSI and have for many years due to a disability that began when I was 20, in the early 1990's. Due to the nature of it and the fact it was something that might improve (but didn't, it got worse and more complex) my parents didn't apply for SSI for me right away. (I'm not going to mention what it is exactly, but it's more or less one of the "invisible" disabilities.)
My father passed away many years ago. My mother, last year. We lived together. In the course of dealing with her affairs I came across something called Survivor Benefits for adults who were disabled before age 22. I'd never heard of it before. I tried to apply but my SSI record has me as disabled onset date June 1st of the year I applied, less than a month past my 22nd birthday. I have no idea why this June 1st date, and it never registered with me as relevant, and I wouldn't have wanted to rock the boat in trying to correct them. (Someone I spoke with at SSA suggested it was my application date, but in any case they have me as "not disabled before age 22", though I was.)
I was denied my Survivor claim and am now in appeals with a lawyer and a hearing approaching in a couple weeks with an ALJ.
I have evidence of consistent medical summaries (given by me to doctors in medical records over the years) of my condition beginning at 20, but nothing before 2008, much less the early 90's. It's like I didn't exist in medical files before 2008! I have postmarked letters I wrote when I was 20 and 21 to a friend (yes, he saved them!) detailing the start of my symptoms and having to leave college. I mention the name of my condition, which I couldn't have known without a diagnosis (no Google back then). There's my limited college transcript showing the date I had to stop (due to its onset) that lines up with what I wrote about going through in the letters. I have a lot of corroborating evidence to back up my account.
What I don't have is my original doctor's diagnosis from 30 years ago. He's dead, the practice closed, there was a damn fire in the records room, and records were paper back then. Nothing from then carried through over subsequent doctor records over time. Nor does SSA or SSI have any of my original application stuff from back then.
I was clear with my lawyer from the start I probably couldn't find these old records and provided all I could. But now, closing in on the hearing, she is suggesting maybe we not go through with it because I don't have that one old record and that's all that matters. Her worry is that the judge may not only deny my appeal but also jeopardize the SSI I get now if his vocational expert recommends differently than what SSI has. In which case I'd be absolutely doomed. He apparently has a notably low approve stat. Of course.
I don't know what to do. My future and survival, really, was hanging on this. If I'd had this cut-and-dry doctor proof from back in the 90's, why would I have ever needed an appeal or lawyer to begin with? I would have been approved in the first step. I thought the appeal would have someone look at the evidence I do have in context to show I've consistently been telling the truth for decades about the age this started and could rule on discretion. In other words judge.
I have to make a decision by Friday. Forge ahead, fight the good fight one last time because I know I'm in the right, but risk the only income I do have, inadequate as it is? Or throw in the towel, keep falling behind, and maybe never have hope of my life improving just fractionally? This all feels cruel, demeaning, and absurd. But I need help deciding, please.

So we are going from a disabled very reliable employee being completely employed to terminated, james apparently told Robert fire me now or I’m going back to the front desk as it looks busy up there . Area Manager Robert said ok so you think you can work with her, his response was yes, but you need to at least attempt to correct her issues or at least make this a non hostile work environment..
He did nothing, James went back to work and that was the end of that , for now .
Later that same week a janitor went to Sakes Manager The Witch who also has a heart condition he asked her “ I need to go home for 10 minutes to get my nitroglycerin pills for my heart, I live close I’ll be right back less than 10 minutes “!!!
Sales Manager the witch told the janitor
“ you’re heart problem is not my problem, no you stay here and mop the floors!!”
Imagine if he had a heart attack after She denied him to go retrieve his medication he so desperately needed!!????
Then on another occasion another Janitor came to James fir some advice, Donna , apparently told James or asked James what should I do , they are asking all of us to lie in our depositions a pot a guy who seriously injured his leg in the gym due to LA Fitness being negligent for not fixing the leak in the basketball court !!!
Donna asked James “ what should I do because they want me to lie for them ( La ft)
James told her just tell the real truth because lying in a deposition could come with some legal problems for you and the others “ like contempt of court !!
On August 11,2022, James had a slip and fall seriously damaging his right shoulder as the members were getting tired of corporate turning off all the lights in the gym including the locker rooms 15 minutes before they even closed the gym!!
Members were very upset , sometimes they had started leaving the showers running, and had the shower curtains closed , leading anyone that closed the gym that there were people still taking showers in there in the dark , but out of retaliation, they just thought they could cause a flood.
I do know, on that night as James was closing the gym he himself had a serious fall on the wet locker room floor , was laying in a pool of water in the dark for over 30 minutes luckily he had his phone , called 911 they eventually got there,
There are no slip proof mats anywhere in that gym!!
When the paramedics got there they had to stabilize james with the neck brace and try to move him so they could treat him somewhere in the gym where there was lights, james said I believe the lobby stays lit until like midnight, but no that was not true either because in the lobby , as they were checking his vitals , the entire lobby goes pitch black, that’s when they realized the lights were being turned off remotely!!
So the paramedics said let’s get him into the ambulance where we can at least treat him . Do paramedics got him in the ambulance, transferred him to Imperial Point Hospital where they did a lot of scans and XRay on his head neck , shoulder and spine.
James was sent home the next day from the emergency hospital with only 3 days of bedrest, and workers comp immediately started physical therapy 4 times a week and had him seeing an orthopedic surgeon, who decided it was ok for James to go back to work on light duty . Provided LA Fitness follow his suggestion of light duty only and get a proper chair . So james was going to all of these physical therapy sessions, and de visits and still going into work! On November , 15, james went into work , and there was the witches boss , Useless was behind the front desk they were instructed by someone to find a way to terminate James because “ we just want him gone” so they enlisted the help of this young African American Girl Briana , and told her “ we need you to say you saw James do something wrong because we have no legal grounds to fire him we just want him gone, so being a young girl that was told she had to do this or lose her job , she had no choice but to go along with them . Mind you this was November 15th 2022 Yet they had already drawn up these falsified documents on November 11, 2022 They never even told the poor girl that what she was doing was illegal, they just used Jett as a scapegoat, then Fired Her the vey next day and Fired James via the telephone while he was still undergoing physical therapy and going to the orthopedic surgeon for his injuries!!!
James contacted the EEOC , which is overseen by the Department Of Justice, they did their own investigation and obviously after months of investigation they found grounds enough to issue James a “ Right to sue” .as Karma always intervenes, he was assigned the Witches favorite color Attorney, a senior Trial attorney who just happened to be a Harvard Educated Black woman!!!
James is now currently being represented by a major law firm for the defamation slander , wrongful Ty. And La Fitness failure to act responsibly when James was emailing HR begging them to at least attempt to fix the situation with Sales Manager aka the witch, as she was refusing to speak to him at all , even leaving out the back door just so she didn’t have to say anything like a simple “ good night” !!’ James was the only one who had access to the keys to the safest room in the building , in the event off an active shooting , yet the witch was not speaking to him, so that made the situation even more dangerous as there are also children in the kids club..
So then since James Workers comp case had nothing to do with all of the slander , defamation and wrongful termination, LA Fitness again attempted to mess up this disabled person’s life even more by offering him some extremely low amount of money and one of the stipulations was “ if James accepts this settlement ( and not for what he went through injury wise it was very low ) he would agree to withdraw his Labor Claim and not sue them for them making racist remaryagainsr blacks ( mind you James is white) and he said
“ no way I’m not accepting any amount and just forget about everything they did to me and the way they treat their employees, their racist remarks against Jews , Blacks, and Gays. ! He refused to accept hush money , told the workers comp lawyer “ well I guess you worked on this case for a year , for nothing , if you can’t have the verbiage removed , then you wasted you’re time hence you won’t get paid”
The very next day the Workers comp Attorney sent an email to his Labor Attorney which james by law had to be copied on , saying “ Dear Attorney ( fill in the blank) please tell me word for word which verbiage you would like carved out of his settlement offer “
The other Attorney responded “ everything pertaining to James’s Labor claim with the EEOC and DOJ)
The very next day .,, the settlement letter was amended and the verbiage that Jane’s and his attorney wanted removed was, funny how it was done so quickly, mind you they told James “ they will not carve out any verbiage for you “ hmmmm well they did.
So. If you’re giving LA Fitness you’re business , and you’re ok with giving them your money if you’re a person of color, gay, Jewish or anyone else they hate , then basically you’re allowing this to continue, because Joni is still there doing the same things
Lastly , like one week before they fired James he was like a hero to them for two reasons, 1 because he stayed at that gym with BSO when a woman was abducted in the Pompano La Fitness parking lot, she was thrown into her trunk and driven to somewhere on Palm Aire like a storage unit. James stayed with BSO until 2:30 am in the gym assisting 12 BSO officers!!Then that same week , on James shift, they did a corporate visit and got extremely high scores for greetings, overall an excellent visit , that his boss brought to his attention, then the very next week they fired him for “ Poor Job performance “ !!!!!!!! Kinda unbelievable, apparently they also didn’t realize that falsification of termination or any employment records was illegal and whoever’s names are on those papers , is facing criminal charges.
James happened to run into the girl they used as their scapegoat and had her lie fir them so they could at least have something on him to terminate him, what they didn’t think about the highly unlikely chances The girl they had lie for them and James would ever cross paths , well they did in a store in Pompano City Place while shopping !
Bottom line , James wants this to go to court in front of a judge trial , jury and MEDIA, he’d rather NOT settle , he wants Everyone to know what happened to him Plus how they treat their employees.
After plenty of discussions with numerous legal entities and Attorneys, they all agree that IF LA Firness consulted with their in house attorneys, , they would have NEVER advised them to convict a story and have another employee or employees to lie and falsify documents . La Fitness has options like for example take the time have a sit down meeting and figure out why the witch hated James, then simply say , ok if you hate him and now he definitely hates you , , Witch you live in Boca, James you live in Oaklsnd Park, would either of you consider the option of transferring??

I actually enjoyed our friendship and having him in my life as a father-figure/friend. While I never felt any attraction to him or thought of any of the sexual abuse/sex fondly, I did care for him but I don’t believe it was ever romantic. I feel like he’s the one that would confuse me into thinking we were meant to be more even though I never felt it. So fast forward to when I’m 20 years old, my parents are being hard on me (particularly my mom who is my uncle’s sister) and they have a history of verbally / physically abusing me so I never felt emotionally safe with them. They haven’t blamed him for anything at all (they never have regarding anything) and they’re intent on blaming me.
I’d like to add since ending the adult relationship, he still regularly pursues me and plays hot/cold with his friendship with me even though I’m married. Hi, I recently received my endorsement from the engineering society, I applied through the endorsed funder route. Where I submitted the grant details and the university’s recommendation for endorsement. The document stated all the details, especially that I’m accepted because I already have the bachelors degree and that I’m writing up my PhD expected to receive it in June. While stage one was being completed the viva date was pushed to August because of examiners annual leaves. Now When I applied for the second step (after receiving the endorsement). I received from the UKRI a document request:
‘A proof of your end of study in the form of a letter from university confirming your end of study in the form of a letter’
I will speak to the PhD coordinator about this letter , but I expect he will write up the letter saying that I have my viva in August. Is that going to make any issues with the visa application? I don’t have anything left to do in my PhD except wait for some corrections from my supervisor to submit the thesis to the examiners.

Long story short, over a month ago I was driving behind a flatbed commercial truck hauling stone products on the freeway. The truck had chipped rock-like debris on its bed. A rock piece flew directly onto my windshield and immediately caused a large crack. My comprehensive policy has high deductible so I ended up spending over 1400 dollars out of pocket to get my windshield replaced. My auto insurance told me I must file a claim against the other party's insurance if I want them to pay for it.
Today I received a letter from their insurance adjuster that they denied my claim because: incident happened in a construction zone, claim is being denied due to road debris.
I believe they are dodging their liability. After the incident happened, I stopped the driver to obtain his insurance, and I took photo of the bed of his truck (which has debris on it). This photo was submitted to their adjuster so she's aware that improperly secured/loose debris could fall when driving at higher speed or on bumpy road. My car didn't have a windshield damage until I drove behind that truck that afternoon, which I personally witnessed a small piece of rock hit my windshield from that truck, and I heard a loud noise.
Although they are right, that portion of the freeway was going through some construction at the time (K-rails placed in the center divider area), both the truck and my car were driving in middle lane when this incident occurred.
I think this is just wrong that just because there is a construction zone, they are automatically assuming rock came from the ground instead of looking at concrete proof of a truck that had debris on it. To my understanding, there are vehicle codes that prohibit truck from carrying loose object without securing it, but there are no vehicle codes that automatically assume all damages must be caused by a "construction zone" and exempt trucks from securing/cleaning debris whenever driving in construction zone.
Can you tell me what my next step should be? Should I try to convince the adjuster (who seemed extremely unresponsive during the claim process)? Or should I just go file at a small claims court?

I(31F) am close friends with Lisa (33F) we met at college, and became roommates and I love her to death. Lisa has a sister ‘Amy’ (20’s F) whom I’ve met occasionally in college but she was so young at that time we never really hung out.

I got a text from Lisa’s mom demanding I publicly apologize to Amy as in post on social media a heartfelt apology because some of the guests heard me yell at her and thought I was overreacting and humiliated her.
Lisa is on my side and told me Amy has always had gold digging tendencies and that this isn’t the first time she’d done something like this. She flirted with her friend’s dad and their next door neighbour who is married when she thought that they were wealthy. Lisa said that she’ll handle it. I already felt so bad I ruined the last moments of her wedding day and now she has to deal with this. I’m ruminating on this a lot lately and wondering if I should apologize to Amy. I don’t want to but then again if I did, I would explain exactly what happened and how it merited my reaction to her. Though this might add fuel to the fire. There is so much drama right now and I want to preserve my friendship with Lisa.
TLDR: friend’s sister flirting with my husband, i ‘embarrassed’ her and now she wants a public apology. I’m thinking of doing it but detailing exactly what happened and might paint her in a bad light. But all this drama could cost my friendship with my friend.

Are the guests at the wedding also your Facebook friends? I don't understand how a public apology on social media would work in this case... I mean, I imagine the guests include aunts, uncles, neighbors, etc., of the family. Are they really going to see your FB apology?

Keeping it as short as I can and typos galore cuz I’m oncall.
Previous post got so popular that Amy’s mom found it and texted me to take down (in all caps). I got around to read most of the comments a day after I posted when I finished my shift. I didn’t not apologize to anyone or did anything at all frankly I forgot about it since I had people close to dying on me left and right at work. I gaslit Amy’s mom into thinking that I never did such a thing and that I did not have a Reddit account (she believed it I think since she didn’t text me back, cmon the details I put in that post were exactly what she experienced and she didn’t find it odd?).
For clarification:

1. One of you said I had a spine of a jellyfish (loved that comment) and not apologizing was the right thing to do. I was hesitant and was actually considering giving that apology because of the fact that she fed me and let me stay in her home during thanksgiving and Christmas many years ago when I couldn’t go home to my family. I’m the kind of person who’ll remember every good thing you do for me and do my best to reciprocate or get even so as to not be indebted to you. Idk what kind of mental illness is that, I never retained much of the psychiatric info from medschool.
   
2. A lot of people insinuated that me being docile and restrained in those kinds of situations makes me a bad surgeon to which i say i beg your effing pardon. Would you want someone who’s operating on you have a criminal record for causing bodily harm/homicide? Also I’ve dealt with worse than Amy I’ve survived handling 19 psychotic patients with TBIs for a whole rotation. Me being aggressive would have gotten me kicked out of my fellowship.
   

Things that have transpired:

1. I tried to avoid contacting Lisa since she went off on her honeymoon but because of the popularity of my previous post I decided to give her a heads up. Lisa was more than apologetic, in fact she facetimed me and we had a very teary conversation about her family. There were a lot more going on that I never knew but mine and my husband’s involvement in her family drama was the last straw. She had decided to go no contact with her mom and sister. She also warned me that Amy might approach my husband in some way but no idea how. She’s also getting her extended family involved about Amy.
   
2. My husband does not have any social media (so hot) and he did not give out his number to anyone at all during the wedding. He is anal about loyalty and transparency in our marriage. We have access to each other’s electronics. I know he would never cheat on me. 3 days ago someone called my husband’s clinic asking to get his number for an ‘emergency’ and that she needed to get a hold of his wife. The nurse who answered refused to give a physician’s personal number and the conversation got heated. My husband’s colleague, another intensivist, took over and asked her to tell him what the emergency was so that he could tell my husband himself. The person on the phone argued some more and when the doctor wouldn’t give she hung up. That friend told my husband what happened and said the woman didn’t give her name but had a very high pitched child-like voice. My husband immediately knew it was Amy but we have no proof. I know it was her, she must have searched my husband’s name on google and found where he worked since his professional profile is online along with the name of his hospital.
   

I’m getting more and more irritated by this whole thing and have gone full on mama bear mode over my husband. He was furiously annoyed after the wedding and was saying if the genders were switched he would have definitely gotten punched not even halfway through the wedding. My husband had terrible experiences with women before, two women at different times tried to baby trap him, one did some Sherlock level manipulation and one harassed us when we were dating. He is usually a cool and calm guy but now he hasn’t been smiling or joking around with me like he always does ever since the wedding.
Anywho, my uncle (our lawyer) was consulted, security at my husband’s dept and around our home have been notified. Thank you guys.
PS: Kelly if you’re reading this, do something about your younger daughter before something bad happens. Also you don’t deserve your older daughter.

Damn, can your lawyer uncle draft a letter to scare Amy? Just outlining what she is doing is harassment and the outcome if she continues? Sounds like Amy might need mental help and threats of repercussions might force her mother’s hand to getting her help. Is the dad around? Update 2 - Final Update May 16, 2024
I’ll try and see if I can update on here since I cant update again on relationships advice. Posts are in my profile for now.
I’ve got so many dms wanting an update but some (legal things) happened since and I couldn’t tell especially since everyone that was involved knows about this post already.
We have the number of the woman who called but it wasn’t Amy’s number (I have her number) but she could’ve gotten another number. At that time, I was almost confident it was her so I got the name of the person the phone number was registered to. We’ll call her Cece Smith. What threw me off was this person had been using that number for 7 years BUT I later found out this woman lived/lives in the area Amy lives. I called Lisa to ask if she knew who Cece is and lo and behold Cece is Amy’s best friend. I told Lisa about the call to the clinic, she went silent, said she had to go and ended the call.
The next day (March 21st) Lisa texted me that she had gotten a verbal confession from Amy about the call to my husband’s clinic. Not only that, when everything happened right after the wedding, I had not blocked Amy from my instagram yet. She must have gone through my followers list and found my husband’s family, dm-ed them with ‘evidence’ that I was cheating on him. Wedding was on March 10th, the call was on March 15th, I blocked her March 16th. Some time after March 10th she had found and gotten in contact with my MIL, 2 SILs and my niece who is 13 years old about my ‘infidelity’. There were skeptical thank God and contacted my husband on March 23rd. I swear to god this girl is so stupid i dont get why she would waste her time on doing this and doing it very poorly at that. My SIL sent a screenshot of the chat from “mizz_(Amy’s real name)” to my husband and he wanted to throw his phone to the wall. Lisa sent me the recording of the entire call she had with Amy admitting to everything and some serious threats about what she would do to me. One of which that she was going to report me to my state medical board (no basis whatsoever like I said, she is an idiot, the premium kind).
We got in touch with my uncle (yes the lawyer who u guys were so baffled about seriously why is it so surprising that I have an uncle who’s a lawyer his wife is a lawyer and so is their daughter, they are a very righteous family idk what else to say), we sent a C&D letter telling Amy to not contact me, husband and in-laws and I let my chief of surgery and head of my program know about this just in case.
March 29th she really reported me to the medical board (it doesn’t have to be doctor-patient related, a doctor could be harassing someone in the grocery store and a witness can report that doctor to the board, THAT is the purpose of creating this avenue to complain) even though they were warned about this, they still had to do the preliminary investigations on me and interview me to hear my side. Major pain in the ass for me especially since I’m 5-months pregnant. The case on me is closed.
April 3rd Amy dm-ed my niece again with ‘new evidence’ of my infidelity. My sweet niece ran to her mom who told my husband and me. We got a court ordered restraining order against her now. When all of this happened, Lisa was helping me along the way, the cherry on top was when Lisa had access to Amy’s email and her instagram (she never logged out), posted how she tried to homewreck a marriage and outing Amy online with screen shots and snippets of the phone call. Lisa changed her password and Amy couldn’t log in to delete it. Lisa made this known to her entire family and they are putting pressure on her mom (hi Kelly) to rein her in. I dont know the specifics but they are using the family inheritance or some heirloom as a bargaining chip for her to behave good. The girl has some mental issues for sure would love to give her a lobotomy.
I hope to god this is the last of this and Amy stays away from us but I have this gnawing feeling that she’s going to try something again. Lisa is the hero in this honestly, she’ll continue to keep an eye out to see if Amy starts shit again (if she does Lisa’s going to hire a hitman so she says).
I dont even know how to TLDR this. Read it or don’t. I hope this is the final update. To the people who don’t believe this happened it did happen but since it’s so unreal, i don’t blame you.

Hello, I’m not sure if this is the right place for this but need advice. (Illinois)
My sister (19F) just told me she went to Walmart and might’ve took some underwear (under $40). She bought something else and saw a security guard and Walmart employee waiting by the door, they asked to search her bag but she said no. Then they said they have camera footage of her taking things and to return it and they have her face and that the cops were called and she said she didn’t take anything and she doesn’t need to show her bag and left the store despite them walking after her and demanding her bag.
She got in her car and there was a security car following her outside the parking lot but stopped once she left the lot. They must have her license plate right?
Should I be worried about her? Should I get our parents involved to get a lawyer? I’m really concerned they’re going to send a letter to our parents house with proof and a fine or they’re going to get a call from the cops or court?
She said she might’ve taken things from the past in Walmart (around $300-400 over months?) and never had this happen to her. She said she’s going to stop and she seemed really scared and I really hope she does.
Please help, I don’t know what to do. Will she get charged? Lawyer needed?

The sales manager there for the sake of legalities will only be referred to by her first name which is witch
LA fitness has already fired her once before then they bought her back in September of2021
Reason for termination is unclear but was said to be discrimination against African Americans, Gays/ LGBTQ community and making anti semetic remarks but nobody knows for sure what the reason was for here termination, but it had ti be bad enough for them to hire her , Luis Maio one of her former sales his said “ I heard it was for embezzlement “ if that’s even true , since when did embezzlement become a re- hirable offense???????? ( again no one knows its that’s true except for the higher ups at LA Fitness
On one night in November of 2021 , a disabled employee who just happened to be a part of the LGBTQ community, came into work his regular closing shift 6 pm to 11 pm,
He was immediately summoned to a woman he did not even technically report to
The Witch/ dark haired sales manager who proceeded to tell him
“ oh you know Dante has been missing from the front desk for 10 minutes now, the disabled employee responded “ I’m sure he’s in the gym , maybe just using the restroom, “
Sales Manager the Witch response was:
“ oh come on now James , you know how THEY are ( referring to African American people in general) he’s missing in action by now he’s probably already home counting his welfare and food stamps balance” she continues “ you and I weren’t raised that way , we were bought up differently “ the disabled employee, proceeded to tell her “ I’m sure he’s in the gym and I’ll find him”, however you and I are nothing alike you are a racist and as soon as I find Dante, I’m reporting you ( sales manager ) to Human Resources “
The Witch didn’t care as she was just about to have this young kid fired for in her words “ time fraud”
In reality he was simply in the gym translating another employees COVID results tests from English to Creole!!!!
So the Witch comes running up to the front desk attempting to ask Dante “ where did you go”?
Mind you he was not even gone from the front desk but 6 minutes I checked the video footage!!!
Once I told her he was assisting another employee translating her COVID results test from English to Creole, she went back to her cubicle we warned Dante she had her finger on the phone and about to have you fired!!
And we proceeded to tell him that the witch said; you “ were probably missing in action already home counting his food stamps and welfare checks”!! Imagine how he must have felt extremely awful we proceeded to contact Human Resources and reported her to them snot her racist remarks.
They said “ oh we will look into it”
Did they ??? No, never !!!!
They allow her to behave like this and it’s been going on for years now !!
Mind you a good percentage of the members that pay her paychecks are African American or of Caribbean descent , in addition many of the members are of the LGBTQ community!!!
Obviously they are not aware of the racism there because if I we’re African American/ Cary, I’d cancel my membership and bring my business to any other gym besides LA Fitness but since they don’t know any of this nor do any members of the LGBTQ community which also many of the members there also identify as LGBTQ !!
So the front desk person who also happens to be of LGBTQ community, and identifies as such ,
Sales Manager The Witch decided she was going to send slanderous/ defamatory emails in retaliation for the front desk guy ,James , to Human Resources, all of which his front desk boss Frank went to Sales Manager The Witch on THREE separate times begging her and telling her to “ stop sending slanderous/ defamatory emails about my employee James who happens to be disabled, he additionally told her that Human Resources, copied Operations Manager Frank on her emails he to sales manager The Witch
Look , I reviewed the cameras each time and everything you’re saying in you’re emails are not in synch with my front desk video footage , stop this, it’s illegal”
Her response was:
“ no I’m not stopping until he’s gone “!!!!
Then she refused to speak to James in excess of 60 days!! James notified HR again that this was a very dangerous situation since on July 12, 2022 James was threatened to be “ SHOT “ by s kid Who was banned from the gym for brandishing a gun and threatening some minors to shoot them too!! Including kids in the kids club!!! (?yes if you have children , that gym is not safe , nor is the kids club!!’
James immediately recognized the guy ( Damien) and said can I see you’re I’d or scan in for me. Obviously he knew he was banned so James said you have to leave , that’s when he said “ I k ow what you drive you know how I roll and that I’m packing!!!
Earlier in that same Day ,Area Manager Robert attempted to “ Terminate “ James because he felt Joni and him could not get along!!
James said ok , I have no disciplinary action, and you want to fire me for HER behavior, go ahead. So we are going from a disabled very reliable employee being completely employed to terminated, james apparently told Robert fire me now or I’m going back to the front desk as it looks busy up there . Area Manager Robert said ok so you think you can work with her, his response was yes, but you need to at least attempt to correct her issues or at least make this a non hostile work environment..
He did nothing, James went back to work and that was the end of that , for now .
Later that same week a janitor went to Sakes Manager The Witch who also has a heart condition he asked her “ I need to go home for 10 minutes to get my nitroglycerin pills for my heart, I live close I’ll be right back less than 10 minutes “!!!
Sales Manager the witch told the janitor
“ you’re heart problem is not my problem, no you stay here and mop the floors!!”
Imagine if he had a heart attack after She denied him to go retrieve his medication he so desperately needed!!????
Then on another occasion another Janitor came to James fir some advice, Donna , apparently told James or asked James what should I do , they are asking all of us to lie in our depositions a pot a guy who seriously injured his leg in the gym due to LA Fitness being negligent for not fixing the leak in the basketball court !!!
Donna asked James “ what should I do because they want me to lie for them ( La ft)
James told her just tell the real truth because lying in a deposition could come with some legal problems for you and the others “ like contempt of court !!
On August 11,2022, James had a slip and fall seriously damaging his right shoulder as the members were getting tired of corporate turning off all the lights in the gym including the locker rooms 15 minutes before they even closed the gym!!
Members were very upset , sometimes they had started leaving the showers running, and had the shower curtains closed , leading anyone that closed the gym that there were people still taking showers in there in the dark , but out of retaliation, they just thought they could cause a flood.
I do know, on that night as James was closing the gym he himself had a serious fall on the wet locker room floor , was laying in a pool of water in the dark for over 30 minutes luckily he had his phone , called 911 they eventually got there,
There are no slip proof mats anywhere in that gym!!
When the paramedics got there they had to stabilize james with the neck brace and try to move him so they could treat him somewhere in the gym where there was lights, james said I believe the lobby stays lit until like midnight, but no that was not true either because in the lobby , as they were checking his vitals , the entire lobby goes pitch black, that’s when they realized the lights were being turned off remotely!!
So the paramedics said let’s get him into the ambulance where we can at least treat him . Do paramedics got him in the ambulance, transferred him to Imperial Point Hospital where they did a lot of scans and XRay on his head neck , shoulder and spine.
James was sent home the next day from the emergency hospital with only 3 days of bedrest, and workers comp immediately started physical therapy 4 times a week and had him seeing an orthopedic surgeon, who decided it was ok for James to go back to work on light duty . Provided LA Fitness follow his suggestion of light duty only and get a proper chair . So james was going to all of these physical therapy sessions, and de visits and still going into work! On November , 15, james went into work , and there was the witches boss , Useless was behind the front desk they were instructed by someone to find a way to terminate James because “ we just want him gone” so they enlisted the help of this young African American Girl Briana , and told her “ we need you to say you saw James do something wrong because we have no legal grounds to fire him we just want him gone, so being a young girl that was told she had to do this or lose her job , she had no choice but to go along with them . Mind you this was November 15th 2022 Yet they had already drawn up these falsified documents on November 11, 2022 They never even told the poor girl that what she was doing was illegal, they just used Jett as a scapegoat, then Fired Her the vey next day and Fired James via the telephone while he was still undergoing physical therapy and going to the orthopedic surgeon for his injuries!!!
James contacted the EEOC , which is overseen by the Department Of Justice, they did their own investigation and obviously after months of investigation they found grounds enough to issue James a “ Right to sue” .as Karma always intervenes, he was assigned the Witches favorite color Attorney, a senior Trial attorney who just happened to be a Harvard Educated Black woman!!!
James is now currently being represented by a major law firm for the defamation slander , wrongful Ty. And La Fitness failure to act responsibly when James was emailing HR begging them to at least attempt to fix the situation with Sales Manager aka the witch, as she was refusing to speak to him at all , even leaving out the back door just so she didn’t have to say anything like a simple “ good night” !!’ James was the only one who had access to the keys to the safest room in the building , in the event off an active shooting , yet the witch was not speaking to him, so that made the situation even more dangerous as there are also children in the kids club..
So then since James Workers comp case had nothing to do with all of the slander , defamation and wrongful termination, LA Fitness again attempted to mess up this disabled person’s life even more by offering him some extremely low amount of money and one of the stipulations was “ if James accepts this settlement ( and not for what he went through injury wise it was very low ) he would agree to withdraw his Labor Claim and not sue them for them making racist remaryagainsr blacks ( mind you James is white) and he said
“ no way I’m not accepting any amount and just forget about everything they did to me and the way they treat their employees, their racist remarks against Jews , Blacks, and Gays. ! He refused to accept hush money , told the workers comp lawyer “ well I guess you worked on this case for a year , for nothing , if you can’t have the verbiage removed , then you wasted you’re time hence you won’t get paid”
The very next day the Workers comp Attorney sent an email to his Labor Attorney which james by law had to be copied on , saying “ Dear Attorney ( fill in the blank) please tell me word for word which verbiage you would like carved out of his settlement offer “
The other Attorney responded “ everything pertaining to James’s Labor claim with the EEOC and DOJ)
The very next day .,, the settlement letter was amended and the verbiage that Jane’s and his attorney wanted removed was, funny how it was done so quickly, mind you they told James “ they will not carve out any verbiage for you “ hmmmm well they did.
So. If you’re giving LA Fitness you’re business , and you’re ok with giving them your money if you’re a person of color, gay, Jewish or anyone else they hate , then basically you’re allowing this to continue, because Joni is still there doing the same things
Lastly , like one week before they fired James he was like a hero to them for two reasons, 1 because he stayed at that gym with BSO when a woman was abducted in the Pompano La Fitness parking lot, she was thrown into her trunk and driven to somewhere on Palm Aire like a storage unit. James stayed with BSO until 2:30 am in the gym assisting 12 BSO officers!!Then that same week , on James shift, they did a corporate visit and got extremely high scores for greetings, overall an excellent visit , that his boss brought to his attention, then the very next week they fired him for “ Poor Job performance “ !!!!!!!! Kinda unbelievable, apparently they also didn’t realize that falsification of termination or any employment records was illegal and whoever’s names are on those papers , is facing criminal charges.
James happened to run into the girl they used as their scapegoat and had her lie fir them so they could at least have something on him to terminate him, what they didn’t think about the highly unlikely chances The girl they had lie for them and James would ever cross paths , well they did in a store in Pompano City Place while shopping !
Bottom line , James wants this to go to court in front of a judge trial , jury and MEDIA, he’d rather NOT settle , he wants Everyone to know what happened to him Plus how they treat their employees.
After plenty of discussions with numerous legal entities and Attorneys, they all agree that IF LA Firness consulted with their in house attorneys, , they would have NEVER advised them to convict a story and have another employee or employees to lie and falsify documents . La Fitness has options like for example take the time have a sit down meeting and figure out why the witch hated James, then simply say , ok if you hate him and now he definitely hates you , , Witch you live in Boca, James you live in Oaklsnd Park, would either of you consider the option of transferring??
But they Never employed any type of conflict resolution, which is commonplace in most ethical workplaces , but remember, this is LA Fitness, they have no logic or do not know how to resolve easily resolvable situations.
As consumers you HAVE a right to know what is going on behind the scenes at any business you give you’re hard earned money to, imagine if it was you’re child the Witch accused the young kid wiring the front desk of being on food stamps and welfare, even worse imaging if they had asked you’re son or daughter to lie for them and not even tell you’re child or loved one what the legal consequences were for making falsified statements or signing falsified employment documents which were turned over to the Department of Labor!! That’s an entire different legal situation they put themselves into . They ( La fitness ) thought “ oh what are the chances of them running into each other?” Well they did

We figured out how to get easy event raids! You can bank your billionaire's proof each run to get difficulty level 1 missions every time! This is especially helpful for lower level players or those looking to just speed things up.
There are some tricks to it though. If you are running it in a party the party leaders proof count controls the rest of the party members ability to get rewards. No party members can have more proof than the party leader, so it is best for every single party member to bank each run.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you must first remove previously placed proof from the bank each time, putting it into your inv, then transferring the full stack of whatever you have for proofs back into the bank. If you don't do this the game will count the separate proofs in your bank somehow, but not if they are stacked.
You can check that you are entering Difficulty 1 when you talk to Innes, he will tell you how many rewards you can still get (directly proportionate to how many letters you have) and what level difficulty the mission will be.

I have a flight booked for Thailand in a couple of weeks. Flying from Australia, but don’t have a return flight as I am awaiting confirmation of a visa application elsewhere. I’m aware the 30 day tourist visa that I’ll be granted. Will this be an issue when I am going through immigration? Is it advised I purchase a bus ticket to a neighbouring country as proof of leaving? Will this cause an issue if I am flying out of Thailand again after 30 days?

I used a dexcom g7 for 2 cycles as that was what my provider had for free samples, but she prescribed the Libre 3 from then on. I applied my first Libre3 on Monday, and nonstop since then it's readings are consistently WAY off. I'm not diabetic, I have severe hypoglycemia, both reactive and chronic. Every hour or since I applied it I've gotten low and urgent low warnings, even overnight. The readings are completely off 75% of the time. I have to verify each low with a finger stick, which means I'm now stabbing myself over a dozen times a day. In 48 hours, the cgm has only had 6 accurate lows out of over 25 alerts and had 3 instances or reading normal but a finger stick due to symptoms proved low. For example, just now my cgm alerted me that I was so low it was out of range. Finger stick says 77. I've already called Abbot and got them to send me a replacement, but im wondering if this is typical? Is this something that happens frequently for users? I absolutely loved the dexcom, the ability to customize alerts and alarm tones, be warned when I'm dropping quickly alerting me to an oncoming crash before it's an emergency, having my glucose level visible in my phone drop down without having tonopen the app, etc. I'm planning to ask my doc to prescribe the G7 from here on out, but I have to know... are libre users in general used to this level of disfunction from their cgms, or did I just get a bad batch?
Second question: I have both TriCare and state insurance, so abbot can't give me any kind of discount whatsoever or a free sensor. But my insurance companies are denying coverage due to me being hypoglycemic instead of diabetic. My doctor is appealing, and sending proof of my severe hypo issues that have been well documented along with a letter of medical necessity. My glucometer has all the saved readings, some as low as 28, and at least 100 in the 35-60 range, and shes sending all that data to them, along with the bloodwork that shows an A1c of 4.1. In the meantime, I have to pay completely out of pocket. Does anyone know of a way to cut cost? When I pulled up GoodRx, the price listed online was the exact same as what my pharmacy charged.

TL;DR: As seen from my previous post, an OAuth application clearly states what information can be access and what rights you give away. If you give someone your credentials, then they have FULL ACCESS to anything you do. So telling the community repeatedly that it is read-only access, is not sufficient in my opinion. The ToS violation is not addressed properly either as Urvin and Urvins connections as data aggregators, even if ComputerShare says it is fine to use MX f.ex.
In my previous post I went over the lack of OAuth on ComputerShares side and the danger of sharing your credentials with anyone else.
After the recent AMA, u/dlauer went over the major concerns and questions of the community. Kudos for the active engagement. I look forward joining the verified holders some time soon.
I feel like there are some things that remain ambiguous and require further address:

• Read-only access for who
  • Broker connection partners clearly support more than read-only
  • How do you prove read-only access
  • OAuth comparison
• ComputerShare ToS violation

Read-Only Access but for who?

Dave reiterates multiple times that the access to data is read-only:

".. all of our partner integrations are strictly read-only. In fact, most of our partners only offer read-only functionality - they do not even attempt to do anything else .."

It is not clear to me, who has the read-only access to our data. Urvin, or the data aggregators?
If Urvin has read-only access to data, then the community concerns stand. I am not interested in the aggregator having more than read-only access. In which case I understand if Urvin has been designed to only read-data, but if the aggregator has full-access, then Urvin has too. Just because that access is not used, it does not null it. If I give you the key to my home, you have access. If you decide to use it or not is on you.
If the partners Urvin works with have read-only access.. well, no. Snaptrade is specifically mentioned as one that has read-only access in the AMA. However you can see in their API documentation that you have the ability to trade, as well as their ToS. The ToS also mentions "access will be limited to the permission level explicitly approved by you". So users tell SnapTrade what they are allowed to do and not with the credentials. That mechanic reminds me completely of the idea of instructing your broker to not lend out your shares.
You can also see in their security page they make the distinction between two connections for integrations: OAuth and bespoke connections. Bespoke being the less secure one, where they have to store user credentials on their side. Which in turn gives them full-access.
So even if they have been given read-only access from ComputerShare, how can we prove that? There is no proof from ComputerShares side that these integrations have read-only access.
Why do I require proof and is it not enough that ComputerShare said to Urvin that MX is ok? 1st: this is he said she said. Dlauer has shared ComputerShare is ok with it but we have to trust his word for it 2nd: even if ComputerShare said it is fine, I am not interested in trusting others. That is the point of BOOK! ComputerShare said some shares are sitting at DTCC for operational efficiency and they will not be lent out? Fine. I however do not trust the DTCC.
So basically I want proof of read-only access. How? OAuth. It's shown as the secure way on SnapTrades security page. Other brokers are doing it. ComputerShare should too.
Why? Let's say SnapTrade is approved by ComputerShare and they promise read-only?
Well for one, I don't have to trust anyone word that they won't do more than read my information.
I do not intend to trust other people to handle my ComputerShare account just like I do not trust the DTCC to not f**k with any Plan shares. Simple as that. GameStop trusts ComputerShare. ComputerShare trusts the DTCC (do they have a choice?). My trust does not extend out of ComputerShare. The line breaks there.
If ComputerShare had an API that allowed read-only access, and when logging in let's say Urvin with my ComputerShare account I will be asked what permissions and information they get, I wouldn't have to trust anyone word for it.
I trust the nature of an OAuth integration because it is in the hands of ComputerShare to allow access or not. There is a strictly correct way to implement it and audited.

ComputerShare ToS violation

IMO mentioned but not resolved. Point made in AMA:

A: The only thing we see in Computershare’s TOS were about their use of data aggregators. As mentioned before, they have affirmatively encouraged us to use MX to provide this functionality to our users. There is no TOS violation here.

How are MX,SnapTrade not data aggregators? How is Urvin not a data aggregator? I just don't see it right now.
I'm not a lawyer, but if someone has a ToS you have agreed to, and then tells you to do something that could be against the ToS, I wouldn't listen to them. Change the ToS, else I'm not going to risk breaking it, or list exceptions. Imo these services are data aggregators.
