2024.06.05 06:08 Successful_Strike_8526 [F4M] #USA-Looking for someone likes to talk all night long
Hey there! I'm a girl with a deep passion for animals, plants, and all things nature. I'm searching for a kind-hearted guy who shares my love for pets and greenery and who appreciates the beauty of the natural world. If you value meaningful connections, enjoy deep conversations, and are open to sharing life's adventures—whether it's a walk in the park or a cozy night in with our furry friends—I’d love to hear from you! If you enjoy spending time with animals, have a green thumb, and prioritize kindness and connection, let’s connect! Let's share our love for nature and create some beautiful memories together. Send me a message!
I've completed the Survey Form assessment on Free Code Camp, but I wanted to make a more visually appealing and responsive design. For whatever reason the "Quality of Service" and "How did you hear about us?" labels and inputs aren't displaying the way I'd like (as can be seen in the Price section). Where have I gone wrong? I'd love to hear any other feedback too! :) HTML:
2024.06.05 05:52 SpongokalypseLooking for underplayed tribal with support
Hoi! I got that itch again to build a new deck and because I'm still looking for inspiration, found none of it in my humble, smol collection of just about 1500 cards and because the last recommendation I got from you guys worked out pretty well, I'm back. As it stands right now, I kind of want to avoid copy and blink decks, because my regular pod, me and others noticed this is what I always seem to gravitate to: [[Anikthea]], [[Miirym]], [[Osgir]] and to a lesser degree [[Alela, Artful Provocateur]] are a testament to that. (I would love to play my [[Roaming Throne]] ... but it's a bit busted) Back to tribal. Because I'm really interested in Duskmorn one of the first ideas that came to mind was an horror tribal. It's not a great tribe and [[Umbris, Fear Manifest]] can make it work, But they seem to work best with copy or blink and are more of a Voltron style? Umbris that is. Not really fond of having another lightning rod like Anikthea and Miirym at the helm of a deck. (Although they deserve it to be interacted with.) Other tribes I looked at were frogs and minotaurs, not sold on frogs yet and minotaurs seems to be a bigger financial investment if I'm not mistaken? I'm still dreaming of a day I can play a non-total-jank Sphinx tribal. But alas, this isn't the time for it. I'd consider this deck a fun side-project, so two colours and a core for starters that's not completely busting the bank would be preferable. There's also a lot of tribal support in Dimir I have, because I'd consider picking Alela (Not many upgrades over the Tegwyll precon.) apart. Playing on your opponents turn to get value onto the table is refreshing, but I really have problems closing out games with her and it always ends up a real slogfest, where at times a game would continue for another 30-60 minutes with only one opponent left. Also my regular pod seems to really hate getting goaded(?????) and nukes me to oblivion when I'm still trying to get the deck going and have to defend myself somehow. tl;dr: Preferably tribal, 2C prefered, maybe Dimir, no total jank (chairs, green eyed ladies...), budget-friendly for the core, not too much copy/blink would be nice I also own [[Sidar Jhabari of Zhalfir]] and a Galadriel deck, which is basically also elves tribal, but those two tribes aren't underplayed at all anyway, just a heads-up.
2024.06.05 05:47 nintendo_fan_81Question about methods for enums.
So, I'm working my way through 'The Way to Jai' (I'm on Chapter 13) and 13.6 is "useful enum methods". Here they mention enum_range(), enum_values_as_s64() and enum_names(). I thought this was pretty cool, but my personality is when I'm introduced to something I want an exhaustive list of that thing. So, I wanted to find all of the enum methods. (very useful to know what your options are) Which made me wonder why Jonathan Blow didn't implement the dot (.) notation to see the methods -- that would be super useful. Now, (I guess) I have to memorize these functions individually instead of having an enum (for example) named Direction and then just pressing a dot (.) and having all the methods there to learn. Like the following...
Direction.enum_range() enum_values_as_s64() enum_names() // other methods
Do you see what I mean? I guess I can just type "enum_" and if the naming convention holds the IDE will bring up a bunch of functions that I can learn from. Will have to wait and see. Does anyone have an exhaustive list of enum methods? Just wondering. Thanks!
Hello friends. I am willing to bundle or trade all of these knives together for a cheaper sale or trade value. Make me an offer! Trade preferences: Folders or fixies
Italian made knives - lionsteel, fox, viper, mkm, giantmouse, beretta
Kizer
Kershaw (Leek, Bel Air)
Civivi
Spyderco
Zero Tolerance
Willing to entertain any trade. I prefer smaller form factor knives in general.
Budget OTF Bundle
I bought these two knives brand new (along with another automatic that I already sold here) from an auction. I thought I'd be into the whole automatic thing, but I'm not. At least not yet. Unfortunately, since it was an auction, I can't return these. Both of these seem to retail at $45-$55 each. 2024.06.05 05:18 KnowledgeableSquatchCasuals/Family Rides: How I learned that airtime and thrills isn't everything! [other]
Growing up in the 90s, along with becoming an enthusiast in the early 00s, I grew accustomed to giant rides of epic proportions. My homepark at the time received 3 major roller coasters upon getting flagged, too! An hour away was America's Roller Coast, and I kept reading the wild things reported on by Screamscape and ThrillRide...a coaster off of the stratosphere!? As I continued into the hobby, I soon valued airtime over all. Eventually the goal became to ride as many CCIs, find some elusive twisty GCIs, and find a way to make the trek to Santa Claus to ride the Holy Grail equivalent of roller coasters which towered above all. Getting caught up in debates over the merits of Intamin pre-fabs vs "true" woodies that get bent on sight, trying to figure out if Cedar Fair ever had an actual plan for Geauga Lake, or chasing down the true Dip N Dots guy who knew about that 500ft AquaTrax all became a past time. I hit my 100th coaster upon some time spent in Orlando, and Manta showed me how much a carefully crafted experience could outdo any airtime monster. From the flyer, I grounded a bit of my expanding credit base as life called to other avenues. I still visited when and where I could. One of the most memorable experiences during that time was hitting a night ride on that ghostly phantom diving off of a cliff. As you plummet down towards the river with steel mills and wonder when you'll start to pull up. The revenge product quickly became my new number 1 due to the hauntingly great night ride. A few years later the amount of credits boomed as I had the means to do as I wish. That mountain of magic provided some fun, Arlington's original chain park helped usher in the era of reimaginations of Dinn's follies, yet I quickly began to notice a stark product quality between the Fair and the Flags. Around this point, 150 or so, I met my partner in crime and she was always willing to try new things. We shared the love of Toro after her first ride, giggled our behinds off while I got absolutely soaked on the smallest drop of Splash Mountain, and then stormed through the woods of a reinvigorated behemoth in the woods of Mason, Ohio. Then the hobby shifted to an entirely new dynamic. A new individual joined our clan, and his higher than average height has allowed him to start amassing a credit count along with trying rides of all shapes and sizes. My love for this hobby continues to grow seeing how much he enjoys rides (just don't get me on wilderness run again...kid), and there's a chance he'll be on Oscar's Wacky Taxi with me for #200 if I plan this right! I see our family visiting parks more often now due to his zeal for all things thrill, chill, and fun. I once cringed at "Family Amusement Park" getting attached to my beloved homepark which met an unceremonious closure in 2007, yet I've grown to understand this past decade that families remain the bedrock of amazing coasters. So next time you bemoan "oh man, a family coaster!?" just know the ROI from families will always be greater than us who chase obscure amazing rides.
2024.06.05 05:04 Ok_Necessary2991Renegade Power Ranger TTRPG Dice set
Hope can post a subject like this, if not I do apologize in advance. So I play D&D at local comic store. They have these packages hanging on a shelf that walk by roaming the store before game starts. After couple of weeks I buy a set, Black Ranger set. The first major red flag is that the packages themselves aren't properly sealed, no tape, not melting the edges together, you can easily pop the packaging open. Surprised dice aren't stolen this way. Anyways that not main concern or issue with this set. I didn't realize there was an issue until a week later today after ordering the Green Ranger set off Amazon and that arrived today. Today I noticed the D4 dice, are misprinted. On orientation you get two lightning bolts (lighting bolts in this set is the highest value per die so in this case 4) and a 3 in another orientation you get two 3s and a lightning bolt. So today I look through the packaging of the remaining sets, two Yellow and one Pink, and see that indeed their D4s are also misprints. So I took my black and green dice, plus the pink set, showed it to a shop clerk, he looked up Renegade Studios Power Ranger D4 misprint and showed me website with a form to fill out to get replacement D4s. So my question is, has anyone else gone through this process of requesting replacement D4s from this company, and if so how long did it take to get said replacements.
A few days ago, Kavrala had seen something she.. shouldn't have. A murder. Right in front of her eyes. She hadn't meant to, but she squeaked out some sentence of concern and the woman had seen her. She was chased, and barely escaped. Today, she finds herself in a similar situation. [She was walking the streets of Asfelaleia, going around and giving food and drinks to anyone on the street. The scent of blood. Lots of it. Different species blood. She turned and found written on the wall] "Send not for whom the bell tolls. It tolls for thee." [Kavrala immediately thinks back to the woman from the other night. Ice down her spine like a lightning bolt. She began to back out the way she came when she spotted it.] [The orange glowing eye of Nethis.] [She didn't need to think to get her legs moving running as fast as she could. Somehow Kavrala had ended up in the Undercity again. Cities confuse her.] "Where is she? Have I outran her?" **On the rooftops the woman ran along with her. In that predators territory.* With a grace she vaults, jumps, and slides off of the rooftops. She's ahead of Kavrala now. And Kav has no choice but to stop running. Going deeper into this woman's territory would be a death sentence. And she's lost. No backing out either. [She sings a song of strength under her breath, and bark forms on her skin. All the vital points.] "I'm okay it's okay. It's okay it's okay it's okay. You've been training for these moments. Don't panic." Nethis stops of course and looks at Kavrala, the wicked sharp smile. The street cracks under her as she lands.* You're going to stand and fight me~? How rude, how rude~.. I thought you wanted to be friends~ [Terror, again. True terror. Ice running down her spine again. Surely this is not a woman, but a venomous snake.] ..well- you.. you must admit.. meeting like this again... I think I'm quite justified to be worried! ........ I don't.. I don't want to fight- but I will if I have to! Nethis smirks. Never once stopping her approach. Look at you.. you're not a fighter. Her eyes shine a sickly red-orange Yes.. yes, why don't we be friends instead? We can talk over tea. So relax~ Put your arms down, and come with me. [Kavrala doesn't listen. She enters her fighting stance and matches Nethis' approach by stepping backwards, she needs distance. A grapple would be deadly.] L-lets be honest with ourselves.. yo-you don't want to be friends.. Nethis stalks ever closer upon her prey. Oh the sweet, false confidence. Shuffle, dear, shuffle. Cross your legs like that and I'll take them out from under you~ She's there in front of Kavrala in an instant. Keeping out of her reach. Killing you would be more trouble than it's worth, but I need these pesky memories out of your head~ [Kavrala matches the pace of the predator in front of her, backing away. She's terrified. She jabs at Nethis, testing just how fast those reflexes are] Nethis raises a clawed finger and moves her head to the side effortlessly, the jab sails past and a long shallow cut has formed on Kav's forearm. So.. it's going to be like that? Just remember, you threw the first strike~ It's just a small enchantment spell, lovely~ You'll wake up at home with no recollection of any of this. She ducks low and throws dirt in Kavrala's face. The fight continues on. What's the point? In taking away my memory? You know where I live, my name, my occupation! I've seen you kill before! blows are thrown on either side, Nethis dodges, Kavrala gets hit You're afforded certain protections by that underelf and her infernal watchdog. You have a nasty habit of interrupting my craft. I don't like spoilers~ A dome of silence goes up, Kavrala finally blinks the dirt out of her eyes. Anger spikes Don't call Nox a watchdog! He has his own mind, and can make his own decisions! You say you don't like spoilers, what are you planning? Does it have to do with the whole city? Or just certain people? Kavrala's tones rise and fall as she talks, masking the song within. Bark recedes from her vital points, forming on her knuckles instead. It doesn't go unnoticed. Oh, druid? Chloromancer maybe? Makes sense with the moss from earlier... You don't look like a Wood Elf, though, but You're certainly fast enough. Hmm.. maybe mixed lineage? No, no, I think High-Elf. Just look at those eyes~ I have many High-Elf eyes in my collection. They have a trademark shine~ I'm a Plant Mage, druid in training. Nethis goes for a grapple, and Kavrala barely has time to think of a way out as she shivers with fear. She jumps up at the last moment to try and find salvation. She had forgotten the woman had a tail. So, you kill High-Elves? Or just anyone who catches your fancy- slammed down into the grapple. Back against the cold stone. Nethis seizes her arms. Kavrala notices that wherever she touches the wood withers. She's too strong. Certain races have a higher market value than others. High-Elves are suffused with natural mana, your eyes, livers, hearts, and brains are especially valuable, as with gnomes. A testament to your fey ancestry. Nethis opens her mouth, fangs glistening with green venom. [Kavrala cannot find the energy to answer. Her arms burn. They feel like they're going to fall off. She tries to kick.] the kick does nothing. [The bones in Kavrala's arms begin to crack. It's audible. It's too much. She's too strong.] [She expends the rest of her fighting energy as a last gambit]
YOU'RE NOT GETTING OUT IF THIS UNSCATHED
The words are a beckon to all of her magical knowledge. Stinging Nettle explodes from the ground, much larger than it should be. The sticky moss she used the other day grows again. Magical plants from her home grow and bloom. Of various magical effects. Thorns grow from her neck. Still going to get bit. But at least it will hurt. Her arms give. She see's Nethis' wicked smile before she passes out from exhaustion. .. .. ... ... ... [Kav wakes in her house. The first thing she feels is pain. Her arms broke. She doesn't know how.] "Rehuo? What.. what happened?" "I believe you had a nightmare. All I remember is fear. If I had been awake myself, I would have tried to stop your fall." "Oh..." /Uw feel free to interact with Kavrala after the fight! There's no saving her from this encounter. She and Rehuo have lost their memories regarding what Nethis has done.
