Gameplay and Investment
Abilities
All Subclasses
- All Super abilities now use the same damage-based recharge parameters.
- Previously, energy gained through damage dealt and received was scaled based on the passive recharge rate of the Super, resulting in a broader delta between long-recharge Supers and short-recharge Supers than intended.
- This will, for example, bring the real-world uptime of Ward of Dawn and Well of Radiance closer to the uptime of a Super like Arc Staff or Fists of Havoc.
Arc Subclasses
- Arcstrider
- Arc Staff:
- Heavy palm strike attacks and heavy air slam blind enemies.
- Disorienting Blow:
- Decreased base cooldown time from 100 seconds to 90 seconds.

- Fixed an issue where Sunbracers would not remove the "Sunbracers Ready" buff from the player when they throw a grenade.
- Cenotaph Mask
- Multiple players using Cenotaph Mask can no longer trigger its effect using a single enemy target.
- Cenotaph's target lock visual marker is now hidden for the Exotic's wearer and only appears to the wearer’s allies.
- Verity's Brow
- Now requires final blows with a weapon matching the player's grenade damage type, instead of one matching the equipped subclass.
- Felwinter's Helm
- Now requires the player to expend a melee charge (or defeat an enemy via a finisher) to activate.
- Wings of Sacred Dawn
- Updated its description to correctly indicate that its effects are only active with Dawnblade equipped, rather than all Solar Supers.
- Contraverse Hold
- Updated its description to clarify it only works with Void grenades charged with the Chaos Accelerant Aspect.
- Chromatic Fire
- Now triggers an effect based on the player's equipped Super element, instead of the equipped subclass.
- Promethium Spur
- Now works with any equipped Solar Super.
- Sanguine Alchemy
- Now requires a weapon matching the equipped Super element, instead of the equipped subclass.
- Vesper of Radius
- The ability for the shockwave to blind now requires an Arc Super to be equipped, instead of an Arc subclass.
- Karnstein Armlets
- Fixed an issue where Karnstein Armlet's visual effects were not functioning correctly.
- Necrotic Grips
- Updated Necrotic Grips description to note that it requires a melee and that it works against both combatants and players. ###Armor Mods
- The Artifice mod socket icon has been updated to make it more distinct.
- Removed the energy cost from raid-specific armor mods.
- Updated all Harmonic armor mods to change their element based on the currently equipped Super, rather than subclass.
- This behavior is also now explained in their descriptions.
- A Strand Resistance mod has been added.
- Additionally, Harmonic Resistance is now compatible with Strand.
- Heavy Ammo Finder and Special Ammo Finder armor mods now persist their progress towards an ammo brick through death.
- Heavy Ammo Finder and Special Ammo Finder armor mods no longer function in Crucible, and opposing-team kills will no longer grant Ammo Finder progress in Gambit.
- Heavy Ammo Finder and Special Ammo Finder armor mods have had their kill requirements increased by 20% for Guardians in a fireteam.
- Solo Guardian requirements are unchanged.
- Fixed an issue where Orb of Power mods would not pick up Orbs when Super energy was full. Mods affected are:
- Recuperation (Leg Armor Mod)
- Better Already (Leg Armor Mod)
- Innervation (Leg Armor Mod)
- Invigoration (Leg Armor Mod)
- Insulation (Leg Armor Mod)
- Absolution (Leg Armor Mod)
- Orbs of Restoration (Leg Armor Mod)
- Powerful Friends (Helmet Armor Mod)
- Fixed an issue where multiple copies of Empowered Finisher could be active at once in rare cases.
- Additionally, corrected an issue where its tooltip did not describe it as having no stacking benefits. ###Other
- Fixed an issue where older Solstice armor did not display the correct glow color when using a Strand or Stasis Super.
Weapons
- Updated Heavy, Adaptive, and Aggressive Burst weapon intrinsic names to match burst count across all weapon archetypes. Functionality is unchanged.
- 2-burst: Heavy Burst
- Includes Sidearms, Hand Cannons, and Pulse Rifles.
- 3-burst: Adaptive Burst
- Includes Sidearms, Linear Fusion Rifles, and Adaptive Pulse Rifles.
- 4-burst: Aggressive Burst
- Removed the foundry name from the Veist Rapid-Fire, Häkke Precision, and Omolon Adaptive weapon intrinsics.
Weapon Archetypes
- Exotic Primary Weapons and Trace Rifles
- Reduced damage bonus versus Minors from 40% to 30% (except Fighting Lion).
- Exotic Primary Weapons and Trace Rifles benefit from the below damage buffs versus Minor combatants.
- Increased base PvE damage versus all combatants.
- Pulse Rifles: 20%
- Exceptions: Graviton Lance and Revision Zero's Heavy Burst mode. (These both have an intrinsic PvE damage buff built in.)
- Pellet Shotguns: 10%
- Exceptions: Legend of Acrius, Tractor Cannon, Conditional Finality, and The Fourth Horseman. (These are all already performing as intended.)
- Slug Shotguns: 9%
- Fusion Rifles: 7%
- Exceptions: One Thousand Voices. (This one was just buffed.)
- Sniper Rifles: 7%
- Exceptions: Izanagi's Burden's Honed Edge shots and Cloudstrike's storm. (These are both performing well.)
- Glaive projectiles: 7%
- Linear Fusion Rifles: 5%
- Increased damage versus Minors (red bars)—this stacks with the base PvE damage increase.
- Sidearms, Trace Rifles, Scout Rifles, and Bows: 20%
- Auto Rifles and Pulse Rifles: 15%
- For Pulse Rifles, this is in addition to the above buff, and Graviton Lance and Revision Zero's Heavy Burst mode are included.
- I.e. Pulse Rifles will do 1.2 * 1.15 = 38% more damage to red bars.
- Submachine Guns: 10%
- Hand Cannons: 5%
- Increased damage versus Major combatants (orange bars).
- Increased damage globally, including PvP.
- Machine Guns: 7%
- Swords: 7%
- With these damage increases, the following Spec mods have been retired:
- Boss Spec, Taken Spec, Minor Spec, Major Spec, and Adept Big Ones Spec.
- Scout Rifle
- Updated the hip-fire reticle to better show accuracy and aim-assist state.
- Hand Cannons
- General
- Reduced the screen shake dealt to players by Hand Cannon projectile impacts by 33% (does not affect flinch dealt to Combatants).
- Heavy Burst
- Reduced the base recoil of this sub-family to make them more stable.
- Aggressives
- Improved the stats of two Aggressive Hand Cannons that are returning in The Final Shape to be more competitive with our current offerings.
- Crimil's Dagger (Iron Banner)
- Stability: 23 to 31
- Handling: 23 to 31
- Magazine Size: 8 to 9
- Airborne Effectiveness: 10 to 21
- Something New (Solstice)
- Stability: 27 to 30
- Handling: 24 to 30
- Magazine Size: 8 to 9
- Sniper Rifles
- Increased minimum reserves from 14 to 17 shots; maximum reserve is unchanged.
- Changed the way flinch works when taking damage from players (this does not affect incoming damage from combatants).
- Increased the screen shake duration by 25%.
- Increased the screen shake intensity by 350%.
- Reduced the camera roll by 25%.
- Linear Fusion Rifles
- Reduced firing animation kick and recoil for Adaptive Linear Fusion Rifles.
- Kinetic damage type weapons
- No longer deal bonus damage to bosses; damage to other combatant tiers is unchanged.
- For example, a kinetic Sniper Rifle and a Stasis Sniper Rifle of the same subfamily will both deal the same damage to a boss.
- Wave Grenade Launchers
- The size of the wave is now affected by the blast radius stat. This will mostly impact the width of the wave, though the length and height will also be scaled.
- The default display stat for the blast radius has been changed from 100 to 50 (where 50 represents the previous baseline—any stat over 50 will result in a larger wave segment than what was possible before).
- Special ammo Wave – Frame Grenade Launchers overperform as add clear weapons in their current state, so we've pulled the length of the wave back a little.
- Reduced the length of the waves from 22 meters to 15 meters (except for Dead Messenger).
- Swords
- Updated the Sword reticle to better indicate its charge state. When Sword energy is consumed, the amount of delay the Sword has before it begins to recharge now subtly appears in the reticle.
- Fixed an issue where the Overwhelming Battlesong debuff from some missions would prevent Swords from recharging or losing energy while guarding.
- Fixed an issue where unpowered caster Sword heavy attacks would not reset the Sword's energy recharge delay.
- Fixed an issue where uncharged adaptive Sword heavy attacks cost the same amount of ammo as their charged counterparts. They now cost 1 ammo, same as other uncharged heavy attacks.
- Rocket Sidearms
- Added a slight delay to the detonation to allow perks to activate correctly if they required precision kills. ###Exotics
- Non-precision based add clear-Exotic Primary weapons:
- Reduced splash damage by 10% on the following weapons:
- Sunshot
- Trinity Ghoul
- Polaris Lance
- Graviton Lance
- Rat King
- Swapped the firing animation to the same one used by other auto-fire Sidearms.
- Dead Man's Tale
- Baseline:
- Cranial Spike stacks now grant stability in addition to aim assist stat and range (+2 per stack).
- Increased reload speed benefit of Cranial Spike stacks.
- With catalyst, when hip-firing:
- Slightly reduced accuracy benefits.
- Increased magnetism falloff scale (1.6 to 1.7).
- Increased baseline rate of fire from 130RPM to 140RPM.
- Removed PvE-only damage buff that scaled with stacks of Cranial Spike and added a 15% damage bonus at maximum stacks of Cranial Spike.
- Colony
- Now spawns additional insectoid robots on final blows. More robots (up to five) spawn from tougher com

2024.06.04 16:55 Initial-Tangerine-67 Why do games work on Steam Deck, but not on PC?
I’ve been using Linux since 2021. Started off with Ubuntu, switched to Manjaro, then finally landed on Arch and have been using it for 3-ish years now. Some people claim that Valve’s proton is the only reason why Steam Deck can run such a plethora of games out the box, but that’s clearly not the case. I’ve done back to back comparisons with fresh arch installs vs a steam deck (with the appropriate drivers, ofc) using only proton on the PC.
Here are some games that run out of the box on Steam Deck, but don’t run, even with proton and wine, on Arch:
-Fallout New Vegas -Grand Theft Auto IV and V (used to be able to run but stopped working) -God Eater Resurrection -No More Heroes 3 -Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
And before anyone recommends it, I’ve tried Lutris and Bottles. This leads me to the conclusion that some other compatibility layer is at play here under the hood.
Edit: Sorry, everyone. I didn’t realize that I was essentially asking a troubleshooting question. I meant it more as a probing kind of question. I’ll list my specs.
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700G GPU: RTX 3060
And for drivers, I have all default open source drivers installed as well as nvidia and nvidia-dkms. This is all being ran through proton experimental.
To be specific, I’ll click on on the green play button, everything will initialize, if the game has a launcher then that will pop up, but then the blue “X STOP” button will immediately turn into that green play button again.
Go easy on me, lads! This is the first time I’ve posted anything online.

2024.06.04 16:11 AFDPP [M4F] Looking for these canon characters (DC, Marvel and more)
Hey there! Thanks for checking out my post.
I've been really in the mood for some fandom RPs lately, especially from DC. I'm mainly looking to play a male character(s) myself, opposite canon characters that you'd play. It's nothing toooo specific beyond that, the main details of the plot really depend on the characters, but here's a few things to know, really.
I'm open to most kinda plots and pairings, and I'm open to really any themes. I'm open to pretty much everything! Even if you have ideas that you think are more out there, feel free to suggest them to me, I'd probably be down for them!
Like I said, I'm happy to play most anyone as long as you play a canon character I'm looking for. I can play canons myself, or crossover characters, or OCs; it all works for me.
Now, let's get to the main gist of it, really: who I'm looking for. I'm looking for canon women from different fandoms, though my favorite is DC. I have a few other canons I like such as Marvel or a few other ones here and there, but DC is definitely the main one. Below, I'll put the list of some of the canon women I'm looking to play opposite with. If you can play any of these characters, I'd absolutely love it.
Under each 'category' of character, I'll also include some details about some possible plot points or pairings we could try. These are only some suggestions, of course; I'm more than down to brainstorm other ideas, but think of these as sort of inspirations to help start out!
Hey there! I've been looking for someone to play
canon women, mainly from comics verses, but a few other things as well!
ANYWAY, here's the main gist of the post. The main canons I'm looking for. If you can play any of these, I'd love it. Feel free to message me whenever!
———————
SUPERHERO CANONS
DC: Cheshire / Jade Nguyen, Artemis Crock (Young Justice), Yara Flor, Lois Lane, Donna Troy, Wonder Woman, Talia al Ghul, Black Canary / Dinah Lance, Zatanna, Ravager / Rose Wilson, Huntress / Helena Bertinelli, Jessica Cruz / Green Lantern, Poison Ivy, Star Sapphire / Carol Ferris, Punchline / Alexis Kaye, Iris West, Lian Harper / Cheshire Cat, Supergirl / Kara Zor-El, Spoiler / Stephanie Brown, Catwoman / Selina Kyle, Batgirl / Barbara Gordon, Mia Dearden, Dove / Dawn Granger (Titans TV), Starfire / Koriand'r, Lilith Clay, Hawkgirl / Kendra Saunders, Lady Shiva, Mera, some of the Arrowverse girls (Sara Lance, Laurel Lance, Thea Queen, Dinah Drake, Mia Smoak, Iris West)
MARVEL: Elektra Natchios, Psylocke / Betsy Braddock, Jean Grey / Phoenix, Emma Frost, Rogue / Anna Marie, Kate Bishop / Hawkeye, Lorna Dane / Polaris, Susan Storm / Invisible Woman, Wanda Maximoff / Scarlett Witch, Black Widow / Natasha Romanoff, Carol Danvers (MCU), Sersi (MCU), Felicia Hardy / Black Cat, Gwen Stacy / Spider-Gwen,Mary Jane Watson, Hope van Dyne (MCU)
THE BOYS: Starlight / Annie January
BEN 10: Gwen Tennyson (specifically, the Alien Force version or older
only!), Charmcaster, Ester
Possible ideas: As a general idea here, with heroines and villain types, it could always be fun to do a plot where they're defeated, if you're open to a darker sort of plot. Maybe they end up imprisoned after a heavy defeat to a villain or army, or they're stranded somewhere, like on an island or desert or unknown city. Something that takes them out of their usual setting, you know? In fact, for some of the higher status heroines, it could be fun to do plots where they're turned into sidekicks themselves, or transformed in some way that changes their status quo. Other than that, since most of these characters are well known in universe, I'd also love a plot where they meet a fan or someone who knows their work in universe, if that makes sense.
Going into the specific characters here,
Cheshire is definitely my favorite. She's one of those ones that there's a lot of good options to pair her with; maybe one of the Titans, like a Nightwing or Wally West, or maybe someone like one of the Green Arrows could be good for a dynamic with her, especially since they're characters she has an interesting history with. With some of the more experienced heroines (like Wonder Woman, Black Canary, Donna Troy, etc.), I do think it'd be fun to have them in a sort of mentor type role, where perhaps they're helping out a younger hero type, be that one that exists within the DC Universe already (like a Tim Drake or Bart Allen for example), or a new original character. As for Talia al Ghul, perhaps after failing to persuade Batman for so long, it's time for her to look for a new type of bethrothed, so she sets out for a new target for the League of Assassins. Rose Wilson could be fun with the Arrows, be that Connor or Roy, since she has a comic history with them. But to be honest, the DC characters are super flexible, so as these are only suggestions, we can fully brainstorm something up, I don't mind at all.

VIDEO GAME CANONS
OVERWATCH: Ashe or Kiriko
FINAL FANTASY 7: Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Jessie Rasberry
RED DEAD REDEMPTION: Sadie Adler, Abigail Roberts, Mary-Beth Gaskill
STARDEW VALLEY: Abigail, Emily, Haley, Leah, Penny, Robin, Jodi, Sandy, Caroline
MISC: Lara Croft (Tomb Raider), Ellie Williams (TLOU2)
Possible ideas: For the FF7 canons, I'm thinking some kind of new resident or visitor of the slums would make for an interesting dynamic to pair them off of. Someone who's new, possibly oblivious to Avalanche and their activities. He could slowly discover what the girls are up to, and either turn against them or works with them. Or perhaps, it takes a more casual turn, someone visiting the bar, needing a room or place to stay sort of vibe and meeting the likes of Tifa or Jessie. With the RDR girls, a new member of the gang under their tutelage or that befriends them could be interesting, perhaps leading towards a direction where they run off together, or kind of face the frontier together. Lara and Ellie can have similar plot scenarios I'd like to think, with one of them being in an apocalypse setting obviously. Getting captured or coming up against some kind of tribe or faction or some such, someone who's targeting them for one reason or another.
———————
MISC CANONS
STAR WARS: Rey or Leia
GAME OF THRONES / HOUSE OF THE DRAGON: Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, Margaery Tyrell, Melisandre, Alicent Hightower, Rhaenyra Targaryen
DISNEY: Teddy Duncan (Good Luck, Charlie), Alex Russo (Wizards of Waverly Place), Sharpay Evans or Gabriella Montez (High School Musical), Colette (Ratatouille)
MISC: Daphne Blake (Scooby-Doo), Carly Shay (iCarly), Azula or Suki (Avatar), Betty Cooper (Riverdale), Yennefer of Vengerberg (The Witcher show)
Possible ideas: With Rey and Leia, I really like the idea of plots taking place in their respective desert settings: Jakku or Tattooine. Something showing the sort of survival aspects of living in a harsh reality like this, how they have to fight for credits or food, living with all the foes around and the heat, that sort of thing. It could either go a darker route, or show kind of their daily life living in a setting like that, their social dynamics with whatever characters are around in those settings; The merchants, the bounty hunters, the traders, etc. You could do a similar thing with Daenerys too, if we wanna set her plot in Essos, though with the GOT girls, I think a sort of war / political plot would be fun, showing the aftermath of either their victory or defeat.
The other girls listed in this section I can be pretty flexible with. A slice of life type scenario would fit in with most of them, though a sort of mystery / detective type plot would be fun to set up with Daphne or Betty. If we do go the slice of life direction, maybe have it set when they're slightly older, showing how they're going through college or their early careers post their canons.

CELEBRITIES
Margot Robbie, Megan Fox, Gemma Chan, Madison Beer, Anne Hathaway, Anya Chalotra, Victoria Pedretti, Jessica Chastain, Emeraude Taubia, Jenna Dewan, Candice Patton, Sydney Sweeney, Alice Eve, Caity Lotz, Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Olivia Wilde, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Conor Leslie, Minka Kelly, Alejandra Guilmant, Kennedy Walsh, Olivia Rodrigo, Hailey Bieber, Doja Cat, Hailee Steinfeld, Dakota Johnson, Corinna Kopf, Florence Pugh, Lili Reinhart, Ariana Grande, Scarlett Johansson, Bridget Mendler, Madelyn Cline, Sabrina Carpenter, Anya Taylor-Joy
Possible ideas: This is probably the most flexible selection here, there's a whole host of plots we can do. An encounter with a fan is the most obvious one I can think of, or them exploring a new type of concert or movie role. Perhaps they've taken on a photoshoot of some kind, but it's different because it's a peculiar type of shoot, or they're hired by someone with a bit of a complex reputation. Or something I think would be super fun, is if the celebrity is kind of made to do something publicly that they're not too fond of, either for a PR campaign or as part of marketing for a movie or album or something. Perhaps a PR relationship, or they're made to act or behave a certain way to change how the world perceives them. I could also see a plot where the celebrity is made to be a prize of some competition or event, like one where my character wins a date or something with the celebrity. I also think it'd be fun to maybe try something where the celebrity's PR is at an all time low or they're cancelled or something, and then proceeding to explore the aftermath of that. These are just a few ideas, tbh, let me know if any of them intrigue you. To be honest, with these ones, it's probably the one that needs the most brainstorming, tbh.
———————
But yeah, that's the gist of it. I'm mainly just looking for the characters above, so I'm pretty flexible on the plot or pairings; that's something we can discuss ourselves. I'm sure we can create an interesting and unique plot and dynamic between our characters, something we'd both enjoy!
Let me know if you wanna set something up! My messages are always open.
My preferred place to write is Discord.

2024.06.04 15:52 rmgvc Prehistoric 2009 PC is forced to evolve to keep running MMORPGs! D: [Warning: yapping!]
TL;DR: 600-800€ new build, near France,
MMO gaming, for
1366x768 60hz (or 1080p later),
Lowest graphics, 2TB SSD, 32GB RAM, may run 2 games at once, wired, no monitor needed. Prefer: silent stealthy black case, some SATA ports and room for future HDDs, maybe built around a used RX 6600/580 video card.
Hello, while making this I rambled
a lot in order to be "as specific as possible" and wrote many questions since I myself am unsure what to expect for what budget. I've stuck with the same potato PC and tunnel-visioned two games for a decade, WoW and LoL, so I've never experienced the modern standard for "acceptable" in metrics such as FPS for newer games, quality, resolution, quietness and storage. Perhaps it will be jarring to read, perhaps it breaks the monotony of robotic fast food requests, I don't know, that's why I wrote that TL;DR. The essay is just here if you need more context. Hopefully it helps. Either way I thank you for your time.
I'll
highlight the most relevant information if you want to skim through. And I'll link pages to system requirements of each game, and PC parts I'm considering buying.
1. New build or upgrade? New. Mine is beyond saving.
2. Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
Just my 1366x768p 60hz monitor for now.
More important to this list, I'm
considering buying either one of these "refurbished" video cards from eBay, they both have a 1-year warranty, free shipping in four days straight from my country, and the seller has overwhelmingly positive reviews on hundreds of them.
Do you think any of those is good deal? AMD RX 6600 Sapphire Pulse 8GB, 187€
https://www.ebay.fitm/134948507775 or
AMD RX 580 Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB, 107€
https://www.ebay.fitm/134663065775 if 6600 is overkill. I read that 580 consumes more, but I'm clueless with math.
How many hours would it take to make 580 more expensive than 6600 in the long run? Right now, technically, I'm reusing my
1366x768 60hz monitor ViewSonic VA1913wm. It has a blue
VGA port from an ancient civilization, will that be a problem or can I just find an adapter for it? But
if possible I'd like to build around a future 1920x1080 monitor in case mine dies. Why I believe it may die [
yapping]:
in March it's been acting creepy for the first time in 14 years, making a whiny buzzing noise and flickering brightness like it's a horror game, intensified if I kept the brightness high. Somehow it stopped this behavior after one week but instead it's now stuck projecting the default high brightness, ignoring any value I select. Thankfully I can still lower the brightness a bit through the Windows 7 color calibration feature. So for now the monitor has been "tolerable" but definitely not normal. It's still better than having it too dim or flickering and noisy so I dare not mess with the settings again and damage it further. Later, I'll probably reuse my current SATA SSD for extra storage.
Samsung QVO 870 1TB. [
yapping] It was an emergency QLC SSD that I bought solely because WoW became unplayable on my HDD in the November 2022 expansion. But now perhaps I could use use a faster SSD(?), and 2 terabytes since most of these games weigh above 100GB and I read it's bad to fill the whole drive. My 500GB HDD split in two partitions has always been the bane of my existence preventing me from trying other games. I'm keeping that SSD in my old PC for now for testing/troubleshooting/backup but I'll probably transfer it to my new build for extra storage once the old PC is no longer needed, it boots from the HDD anyway.
Will I need to format that old SSD when transferring it or will I keep my data when I plug it into my new PC? 3. PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
(Grab a coffee) My main usage is
gaming. Typically multiplayer with infinite play time, character customization and fashion, socializing hubs, healer classes, so usually
MMORPGs.
List of games I definitely want to play + targeted FPS + play frequency:
- World of Warcraft The War Within. Goal: 30+ FPS in raids with Discord voice chat, Low settings. It's my current main game because it's all I can still run (barely). I typically do Heroic raids (15-30 players), Mythic+ dungeons (5), PVP arenas (3V3) and battlegrounds (10v10), only up until I get the limited-time cosmetics for the season then I go play games with more instant gratification like LoL, Skyrim, L4D2. But I hope that with acceptable FPS and fast loading screens I'll enjoy the game again and play it for fun.
- Final Fantasy XIV Online Dawntrail. I don't know my goals yet, I've only managed to complete the 1-50 leveling story quests of the free trial before they removed the DirectX 9 client in March so I couldn't any raid. It's competing to be my new main game thanks to the welcoming community, the housing, fashion, emotes and playable musical instruments.
- League of Legends. Goal: 60 FPS, Very Low. It's my second main game but nowadays I mostly play it out of sunk cost fallacy and Fear Of Missing Out (exactly like WoW) and less for fun, so mainly during limited-time events, no longer chasing ranks. [ranting] They nerfed my only character out of its role since 2015 (lane Nidalee), players are encouraged to mute others, and to blow 500 dollars within one month lest they live with a permanent hole in their favorite character's skin collection. Now you know why it took me a decade to upgrade.
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition (2016). The GOAT. My PC can't run it but I often come back to original Skyrim (2011) for fun. It's not my main game since it's offline, hence why I'm very eager to try Elder Scrolls Online.
- World of Warcraft Classic Cataclysm. [ranting]You'd think it's redundant to mention this game since: I can run WoW Dragonflight which is visually 13 years more advanced, I ran the first build of the Classic Cataclysm beta in March, this PC physically has seen the original Cataclysm first release in 2010, and my GeForce 9800 GT literally is listed as the minimum GPU for GTA V (and 9800 GTX for BDO). However since the second beta build in March 2024, Classic Cataclysm requires a "3D accelerator card with dual-TMU support," whatever that is, just to launch the game. I bet it's because of the AI up-scaling garbage they added and the usual incompetent WoW Classic Team of 5 interns couldn't think of a way to make it optional for people who don't care about 4K.
Games I want at least to try even if I don't make them my permanent home due to some flaws (pay-to-win, incompetent publisher, dying population), so I just want to be able to run them at 1366x768 with playable FPS, and upgrade later if needed:
- The other known MMORPGs such as Elder Scrolls Online, Black Desert Online, New World, Guild Wars 2. Thankfully MMO is a dying genre, the "popular" ones are a decade old. And graphics can't get more realistic than reality, so eventually my hardware will catch up.
- Grand Theft Auto V Online/FiveM. [yapping] Yes, I've heard the horror stories of rock$tar allowing cheaters to grief, ban, dox and DDOS innocents in every PC public lobbies. So I no longer expect the same welcoming social experience I got in MMORPGs. But the rag doll physics and fashion in GTA have potential for fun. I'm curious to see the chaos for myself, like the missionary who went to Sentinel Island and got skewered by the local tribe. Perhaps there's fun to be found in their Discord community or a private sever in the FiveM client.
- Maybe Sea of Thieves. Maybe Rocket League (60 FPS) if they add a 2V2 solo queue without pre-made parties one day I might reinstall it.
I can't really say what's my "comfortable" frame rate for every game since Windows 7 or my hardware is now physically unable to launch most games (FFXIV, Cataclysm Classic, LoL, ESO, GTA V), let alone play them at 30+ FPS. It's hard for a neanderthal to comprehend what racing car they'd like if their only transportation ever has been a donkey. If my budget happens to be more than enough for 768p60, then perfect, that will allow me to invest more in safety and multitasking, or encourage me to upgrade my monitor or increase eye candy. In the end 1080p isn't an absolute necessity, I had only considered it because my current monitor was acting up. It simply would help to read text better, place more UI on my screen, and share prettier screenshots. But frame rate and multitasking convenience come first.
To give you an idea of how much garbage quality I was able to endure: in WoW [
yapping] I currently average at 15 FPS in dungeons (5 players) 10 FPS in raids (25 players), all that at 33% render scale (so effectively 453x256 resolution), down to negative FPS with Discord open. It was painful but still enough to earn the main limited-time end-game rewards every season (Elite PVP set and Mythic+ dungeon portals). I've haven't seen a stable 60 FPS in years, outside of chill solo questing in old areas. So
I reckon I'll be okay with at least 30+ FPS in raids and 40-60 in smaller group content, with only Projected Textures enabled and Particle Density on Good+ to dodge boss abilities easier.
I want to sometimes
run two games at once, hence why I'm aiming for
at least 32 GB RAM despite most MMO games requiring 8-16. Obviously I don't expect optimal performances when running two games at once. The reasoning is that those games rely a lot on doing nothing, waiting for queues, rare spawns, auto-play, and looking up guides on a web browser.
I also use
Discord often when raiding, it currently uses a ton of my tiny processor. I'd also like the
ability to use a soundboard and voice changer in voice chat
in the future, without subscribing to Nitro. But I'm unsure if that requires specific hardware; I had a guild mate randomly playing memes like "I am under the water" at good audio quality during raids in 2020 and it was hilarious, he told me I need a
sound card(?) for it, whatever that is, so perhaps I'll need a space for that on the motherboard for that
unless there is a simple soundboard software nowadays that does this without sounding like it comes from my cheap microphone while my PC fans make noise. Feel free to tell me if you know an alternative to Nitro.
Second daily use: downloading past livestream broadcasts. No crazy hardware involved, just a lot of network and temporary
disk writings. The most "editing" I do is just sometimes trimming with LosslessCut. Nerdy breakdown if you're interested:
I'd first download a temporary 160p30 version of the broadcast on an internal HDD with either with TwitchLeecher-DX to preview the desired segments fast with VLC, or with TwitchRecover to load the thumbnail of each 10-second chunk with Windows Explorer. Then on an external HDD I'd download the segments that I want in 1080p60 quality with the Simple Mass Downloader browser extension and delete the temporary 160p files. I also watch YouTube in a minimized PotPlayer window, it takes far less processor and memory than a browser, but it sometimes downloads a kind of "cache" of the video or something to the Temp folder while playing it, and I don't know how to avoid that, meaning more frequent
disk writings. All this yapping to say
it's always handy to have SATA ports for internal HDDs, even just 1TB, so I don't waste these daily 1-2 GB of temporary writings on a SSD. Although I've heard nowadays SSDs are more durable (I just don't know to what extent) so I can worry about adding a HDD later. At least I still have my old SATA SSD I can transfer.
4. Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)
France or near. People recommend buying from
Germany or Spain (amazon.de or amazon.es) so I'm willing to try that. Though I'm unfamiliar on how efficient that is, due to delivery times/fees, and maybe customer support. I'd prefer ordering as soon as possible since there is a grinding limited-time event in FFXIV ending on June 24th.
This website can be used to compare prices between websites or countries.
https://dropreference.com/fhome I rarely shop online. I know some websites for used hardware in France are Leboncoin, Rakuten, eBay. New:
Amazon.fr, Fnac, Darty, LDLC, Cdiscount, Topachat. If you can't be bothered optimizing the price and looking in both countries (since it does sound painful), feel free to mention trustworthy German websites so I don't get lost struggling to create accounts in another language and giving my payment information to shady places.
5. Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
No. I'll re-use mine for now.
6. Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
600-800€. I believe France includes VAT in prices.
After simulating a
price estimation on PCpartpicker with random cheap parts + the refurbished RX 580, no HDD, no cooler, it seems I'll need at least 600€ due to the expensive 2TB SSD and 32GB RAM. 800€ isn't an absolute maximum, but it's what I paid for my old pre-built PC with a OS license in 2009 and it lasted me a long time (albeit a miserable time), so I'm eager to see to see what that gets me nowadays. Plus it stings to pay a lot for a dying game genre because companies whom I hate force me to upgrade.
The leftover budget perhaps could be spent on:
more protection on the power supply so it doesn't damage my storage drives after a power outage, if that is even how it works (and how much would such safety cost?). It's rare but inevitably happens randomly a few times a year, perhaps during bad weather.
Enough processor to run two games at once or other programs while gaming Maybe pick the refurbished RX 6600 for eye candy/future games/power saving.
7. WiFi or wired connection? Wired.
8. Size/noise constraints? Noise:
preferably silent, but again, as a 2009 animal, I have no clue how controllable noise is. My PC, with only four fans in it (1 blowing out hot air to the back, 1 power supply, 1 processor stock cooler, 1 video card) has always sounded as if someone in the room next to me were blow-drying their hair or vacuum cleaning, so I've never heard what's the standard for "low noise" and how much silence costs, so if it costs a lot more, feel free to
suggest several fan models. Of course I'll appreciate if it's silent just because I can hear my PC fans when I occasionally record song covers for fun, but besides that they haven't bothered me because it's not an annoying noise like coil whine, which is a sound I've only learned about recently while reading a review of a RX 6600 PowerFighter video card, I do hope not to hear that. I'm a gamer first so I
prioritize cooling.
Size: no constraint,
preferably enough to mount a couple HDDs, so better too big than too small.
9. Cololighting preferences? Preferably: a basic black case, emitting as little visible light as possible in the dark. While it's heartbreaking since I love pink cases and pretty lights, I must blame it on biology; I currently use
Cooler Master Elite 341 MicroATX Mid Tower Case and its darkness is the meta because
it doesn't reflect light into my weak vampire gamer eyes. It's slightly behind my monitor so I have vision on a third of the side panel all the time.
I'd
prefer no window, again regrettable because it's cool to monitor inside the case at a glance, but I fear I'll get blinded by whatever LED lingers inside of it.
I know humans aren't supposed to look at monitors in the dark but that's what works for me. Well lit rooms somehow tire me more, even at school. But here I've referred to myself as many things, human is not one of them. Perhaps I could work around this by placing something DIY in front light sources. So prioritize whatever case and fan has better cooling.
10. Any other specific needs? Some questions: I've been torn on
the debate about the two popular budget processors AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and Intel Core i3-12100F. I read that the 4 cores of 12100 are usually better at running a single game than the 6 cores of 3600 (which somehow is astronomically beloved by the PCpartpicker community). However
I'll often have another program open such as Discord voice chat, YouTube on PotPlayer, a Chromium browser, watching Twitcth, or even a second game (low quality), so I can't just take the bare minimum for one game.
Is that enough multi-tasking to warrant going for 6 cores? Are both of these processors overkill or too weak anyway? I'm just scared because I've only lived with 2 cores and just having the (terribly buggy) idle League of Legends launcher or Discord voice chat open cuts my performances by a lot. So as an ignorant normie who doesn't comprehend the other metrics such as GHz and threads, a 4-core processor doesn't look like a big jump after 14 years, though I could see it be just fine for users who run one game and no other program.
Here's my current system, if an archaeologist is curious what depth of Hell I come from. It was a pre-built PC I ordered for WoW and Aion at a small local tech store for Christmas 2009, for I believe about 800€: OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit (they initially gave me 32bit, at least it was a legit license) CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 240. Thermal paste: Cooler Master IC Essential E1 (first and last replaced in 2014, yeah I really neglected it to be fair, I kept coping "I'll upgrade soon anyway") GPU: nVidia GeForce 9800 GT Motherboard: M4A78-VM (AM2) (2 RAM ports, max 8GB) RAM: 4GB Single-Channel DDR2 @ 401MHz (6-6-6-18) (overprice 80€ replacement from 2015 another overprice DIMM that only lasted a few months, hence why I lost trust in hardware sellers, I don't even know the even a brand name, initially I got 2+1GB Kingston that died after 4 years), HDD: 465GB Seagate ST3500410SV ATA Device (I'm so proud it's still alive) SSD: Samsung 870 QVO 1TB ATA Device (from 2022) PSU: PC ATX LITEON PE-6301-08AP 300W? (cheap replacement from a tech friend when mine broke around 2018). Monitor VA1913wm-4 (1360x768@60Hz)

2024.06.04 15:28 hermione-Everdeen I want to contact my ex boyfriend to break his heart like he broke mine… but I know I shouldn’t
⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️ R*pe, sexual trauma, mental illness and hurting oneself.
‼️ Relatable Warning ‼️ Dating arseholes.
My ex boyfriend and I were together for three years and I considered him to be my first true love.
We met in the first year of high-school and we both liked each other but never knew our feelings were reciprocated. He was my first kiss even if it was only a dare.
Unfortunately, I had to move schools due to health reasons so we never really got the chance to pursue a romantic relationship. We still occasionally talked over WhatsApp as friends.
Eventually he invited me to his 16th birthday celebration and I went. We finally realised our feelings were reciprocated back then and so we made a pact to give a romantic relationship a shot if we both were single (neither of us were at the time).
A few months go by and we’re both single so we decide to try a romantic relationship. It was going well for the first few weeks, but then he suddenly stopped talking to me and avoided me at all costs. I blocked him because I didn’t want to get hurt by getting my hopes up and I knew he was keeping something from me. I later found out a girl drugged him and tried to baby trap him. He thought he was going to be a father and didn’t know how to tell me so decided not to talk to me at all. I would’ve understood if he had simply told me and then we could’ve figured something out. But I get it, it’s not an easy thing to talk about.
Now I still don’t know how true this whole story is, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt because being drugged and r*ped is seriously messed up and I don’t tolerate it since I have had first hand experience with it. I always believe a person unless proven otherwise. However the more I got to know him the more this story didn’t add up. He told me that he then had sex with her afterwards because he’s not going to have sex with someone and not remember it. But this was still during the time he and I were on speaking terms. And why would a 16 y/o guy go to a club alone with a girl if he didn’t have other intentions? It didn’t make sense to me but I left it at that.
Anyway, back to the main story. After a few years go by after I blocked him, he asked a mutual friend of ours to contact me so that I can unblock him. Which I did.
We were back to being just friends as he was in a serious relationship with another girl. I was swooning over him because he was extremely handsome, had a motorcycle, was good with kids (we were babysitting one of my cousins children), and he seemed so kind and confident in himself. What teen girl wouldn’t be swooning over that; it’s sexy. But I didn’t pull any moves on him because he had a girlfriend and I believe in girl-code, being a decent human being and I am not ever going to be a side piece for any guy.
So life went by and I was struggling with life and my physical and mental health, so we didn’t talk as much anymore.
Then comes the relationship of three years with him.
He broke it off with the girl he had dated for two years because he grew sick and tired of her antics (according to him she was toxic). He then contacts me again and asked if he could come over to chat. So I said yes why not.
He then asks me if I have a boyfriend after some small talk and I confirmed that I didn’t. He then asked if we could try being an item again and I agreed on the terms that we take it slow. And we did for a little while.
So at this point I would like to mention that he was quite a playboy during his high-school years. He and a mutual friend of ours had been flirting sexually and he asked my permission to have sex with her before we become a couple and I said yes he could, but then he shouldn’t expect me to be with him anymore. Looking back on it he was a twat in so many ways. On top of that I discovered that he had also confessed his love to another girl after asking me if we could be a couple. She rejected him and he then went to back to plan B (me). I didn’t know any of this back then, if I had I would’ve left faster than Sonic. He somehow convinced me that it was nothing when I found out about it and said that even if he felt that way back then he is glad he got me. I am such an idiot…
So we finally became a couple on the 11th of January, 2021.
It was wonderful the first year but unfortunately I wasn’t a very sexual person and he was. I have sexual trauma and at that time I was still working through it all. He was very sweet about it and never pushed me to do anything I wasn’t comfortable with. However I am a people pleaser to the extent that I put my own happiness last. (Trying to work on that now). So unfortunately I often did a lot of sexual things that I wasn’t comfortable with up until the very last year of our relationship. Oh and he suggested that we get a third person (female) to join our relationship. I obviously said no and immediately asked whether I wasn’t good enough on my own, to which he replied no he has just always dreamed of it (fantasy of his). But still I didn’t feel very good about myself and felt like I wasn’t good enough.
Sex was always a big problem in our relationship and he kept asking for much more than I could give, but I gave it anyway. I even allowed him to talk me into having a threesome with him in our final year of dating, but I’ll get to that later.
At the end of October of 2021 (our first year together) I wanted to break it off with him because I felt like I would never live up to his sexual expectations and I didn’t want him to suffer because of me. He said to me that sex was the way he showed his love and I was big on reciprocating love in the way the other person gives it.
He talked me out of breaking up with him and said he would stop having sex all together if it meant being with me… Of course that didn’t happen because I like punishing myself for other people’s pleasure for some f*ckn reason.
So we continued dating for the next year and then he was on verge of breaking up with me in 2022 of August or so, because of sex, me not cleaning his house enough or cooking enough meals for him (please note that not only was I studying online to finally get my matric after years of being ill, but we also had an agreement that I would clean and he would cook because he was much better at making food than I was), not being on time and (best of all) always being in pain and not pushing through it to do things and go places (we barely ever left the house due to him being super introverted and I already pushed through a lot of pain to get shit done). But again sex was the main thing… Also for context I have two auto-immune diseases that causes me to be in a lot of pain for the most part of my life and finding the right doctor and medicine was the hardest part, which is why I never finished high school the first time around. But that’s a story for another time.
I also had my complaints, such as him taking his anger out on me by shouting and throwing things from time to time, him constantly being glued to his phone on TikTok, and mainly never talking to me especially about the serious things until it’s too late.
We talked things out and went about our relationship once more. I constantly felt like I had put in 70-100% effort to improve and he only did the bare minimum. Now I’m not gonna sit here and lie, I was making progress to improve very slowly because I was learning. He however didn’t really try that much at all. He kept on saying that he was providing food for me and he did my tires and shite like that, but he didn’t show me love in the ways I wanted (only every once in a while).
Eventually I got better at doing the things he asked of me or so I thought, because in 2023 he started to shut down completely and wouldn’t talk to me about things (communication is very important to me, but he saw it as complaining) and didn’t even want to have sex. This obviously worried me because either he didn’t love me anymore or he was getting sex from another place.
We slowly drifted apart and I grew tired of trying to fix things and getting him to talk to me about what was wrong.
Finally in February of this year (2024) he broke up with me a week before Valentine’s Day and my birthday. Which honestly was super messed up. He said he didn’t feel the spark anymore and then gave me dumbass reasons. His reason’s were similar to the previous time only he had no way to back it, because although I was still slightly lacking in a few areas I did a lot better and a lot more to accommodate his wants and needs. He just said I wasn’t improving fast enough for him. And guess what the main problem was… You guessed it, it was sex related!!! He wanted us to have a threesome... But silly old me convinced him that we should only take a break. And we did for a month, in which I bent over backwards to win him back. I did everything he wanted and more and improved at the speed of light.
I asked him to give me a grand gesture for breaking my heart before my birthday and Valentine’s day and I also wanted to see if he still truly loved me. And I know it’s petty and stupid but I was so afraid he just wanted to be with me because I was easy… because let’s be honest, I am, even if I don’t want to be, I am (I figure it’s because I have such low self esteem which is why I am also working on loving myself before ever jumping into a relationship again) and he literally stated that he didn’t feel the spark anymore.
After the month in which we took a break we got back together and I had such high hopes for us and truly believed we were stronger than ever. But we weren’t, I was simply kidding myself.
Surprise surprise, I was the only one that improved at a super fast rate. He asked that I have patience with him because he was trying his best. Double standards much? And I never got the grand gesture. No surprise there.
I was pissed that he never communicated his feelings to me so I also looked up a lot of relationship advice and did everything in my power to communicate with him effectively and tried to get him to communicate with me consistently. I also wanted us to both watch these videos so that we both learn to be better partners for each other.
I also had the threesome with him and another girl even though we fought that day and I felt uncomfortable doing it in the first place… So not only did I further hurt myself in order to please him, but I also had to do it while we weren’t in a good space together. I even had to become intoxicated just to go through with the experience. I would also like to add that I’m probably on the same level as a pornstar or someone with OF with how I approached sex at this point of our relationship. Yet, IT STILL WASN’T ENOUGH!!! The only thing I sucked at was degrading verbally and physically (which he wanted).
And then the first glass slipper shattered. Him and I went to celebrate mother’s day with my mother and family since his mother was out of the country at the time. He. Was. A. Complete. Arsehole… And the worst part is my family saw everything. I have never felt so ashamed and hurt at the same time. That’s when I started having doubts (I know, I can’t believe it took me that long either). He refused to give me a sip of his milkshake after I had something a bit too spicy for me to eat and my milkshake was already finished. He said I should buy myself another one. But let’s think about this logic for a second: First, it will take long to come and by that time I’d be over it. Second, I was paying for my own food as well as a part of my mom’s meal since it’s mother’s day so I couldn’t afford it since I was living on a student’s income and I also contributed to groceries and necessities for HIS house. And thirdly, is it really that big of a deal to give me one damn sip? My brother eventually gave me a sip of his milkshake so I was all good, but then I made a joke to him saying that my brother is being nicer than him (note that he doesn’t like my family especially that particular brother of mine very much). So he lashed out at me and said “Oh, so I guess your brother won’t mind paying for your vacation to Thailand.” It wasn’t the first time he threw this in my face and best of all is that he was the one that basically told me I’m going to Thailand with him and his family and so I didn’t have much of a say in the matter. He knew I wouldn’t be able to afford it so he was going to pay for the accommodation and airplane tickets (I had to save up to have enough spending money and didn’t mind but I knew it was gonna break my bank). So that comment was f*ckd.
Eventually I got fed up and we had a serious conversation with each other and came to the conclusion that we were becoming toxic for each other and should completely break it off. I won’t lie I tried to steer the conversation in that direction. We agreed to be friends since we didn’t want to completely loose each other and had many mutual friends.
Then the second glass slipper shattered. We love playing games together, but we could only play Minecraft online and I wanted to catch up and play some games with him less than a month after we broke things off. So we did and then the conversation became very serious and intense. He said it’s very difficult to be friends with me, because he’d rather be with me or have nothing to do with me. I asked him if we should rather be strangers then and he said it’s completely up to me. He also said he still loves me and feels so bad for how he treated me and wishes he didn’t push me so much with the sex. He wanted me to come visit him after my exams and asked that I should sleep over at his place. This man was sobbing like I have never heard him sob before. Obviously I wasn’t completely over him and missed him too but knew we shouldn’t be together again. I told him I missed him too and I still loved him as well, but it’s for the better and we never know what the future holds. I even told him we might end up together years from now (you know I thought we were the right people for each other just the wrong time… wow… dumbass).
Fast forward to the very next night after him sobbing and professing his undying love for me and that he misses me and wants me to come over to his place, I call him the next morning to hear if he’s okay because he said he’s going to cry himself to sleep and we spoke past midnight and I knew he had work that morning. He said he’s busy (not at work but getting accessories for his bike very near to where I live). Cool cool, he says he’ll call me later. He never does, so I text him and see he is already on WhatsApp. Bit strange, but okay. For context he’s almost never on WhatsApp unless he’s talking to me or work related. But it can’t be work cause it’s already quite late so yeah. We chat over WhatsApp for a while but he is constantly online but not with me. He then says he needs to grab some food to eat and he’ll message me later. Some time passes and again nothing, yet he’s still online WhatsApp. I jokingly ask who else he’s talking to (I thought I might be overthinking things again like he always made me feel) and at first he denies it, but later confesses that he is talking to another girl he met on an online dating site. I then stupidly called him bawling my eyes out and asked how he could tell me he loves me and in the same breath move on so quickly. His exact words were, “I need companionship.” I asked him Wtf that even meant, but he never gave me a straight answer. He kept doing his little dodgeball routine. He kept saying that he does love me it’s just difficult to be my friend because he’d rather be with me. And I asked him if he was sure he truly loved me or if he was just in love with the idea of being in love. He insisted that he loved me, but I’m not an idiot. You don’t love someone so deeply but still try to get with another girl because you need companionship. That’s a tell tale sign that you only like being with someone for the sake of being with someone and not because you love them. So I cried and cried and I was pissed, because how could he not at least have the common decency to wait a little longer before trying to become intimate with another woman. Or just tell me to fck off so that I can hate him and not get my heart crushed by realising that he never actually loved me and I wasted 3 and a half years of my fckn life trying to be his perfect dream girl at my own detriment. I blocked him after talking to my mom about it all while sobbing like a child. I felt like I was losing my mind at that point.
My family still thinks it’s weird that he just left me out of the blue in February of this year and they believe there’s more to the reason he left me (they think he cheated which honestly looking at his history wouldn’t be far fetched). I also had that fear, because not only did he grow distant and didn’t want to have sex with me anymore, but he was also online at strange times especially when he was on vacation with his best friend. He even claimed that he fell asleep really early so many times when in reality his WhatsApp “last seen” time said otherwise.
So not only did I realise that he never really love me and was only using me, but there’s a possibility that he cheated on me and I don’t even know if I want to find out or not.
But anyway… I want to hurt him emotionally. I want him to break down and cry as much as I have because of him. I want him to suffer so much and I hope that he never finds love. And I hate that I feel this way, but it’s eating me from the inside out. I already struggle with mental illness (BPD and Bipolar type 2) so I really struggle managing my emotions when something like this happens.
Is it wrong for me to feel this way?
Am I in the wrong here? Am I overreacting?
What do I do, because I’m really struggling to not text him and say hurtful things to him?
And I have so much dirt on him I could make his parents disown him… but I don’t want to do something that messed up to anyone.
I don’t know how to heal from this. I know it’s going to take time, but how so I stop myself from contacting him to make him suffer? I have blocked and unblocked him so many times already. I so badly want revenge, but I don’t know if it’s worth it.
And I am struggling a lot with my own mental health, because I do have a history of hurting myself especially when I feel like I deserve it. And at the moment I am probably more angry at myself for allowing all this to happen than I am at him. Because I’ve already let so many other people use and abuse me and I promised myself it won’t happen again and yet…
I don’t even know how to see red flags that are as bright as the sun. How can I ever trust myself again?
TLTR: My manipulative boyfriend of 3 years (now ex), claimed he loves me and misses me, but went and got himself a new girl the very next day. How do I stop myself from texting the dickhead and hurting him as much as he hurt me? How do I heal after realising I wasted so much time loving someone that never loved me to begin with?

2024.06.04 15:25 6moad9 [REQUEST][STEAM]Any amount of wallet to buy specified games
Hello everyone! I hope you've had a nice weekend.
I'll be honest - I never intended to post here, but upon seeing all of the “Thank You” posts, and considering my situation, I decided to try my chance with the generous donors on this sub.
I've been selling each and every steam trading card I had ever since January, and so far I have slowly but patiently collected a total of $36.35 that I couldn't wait to spend during Summer Sale, especially when my region finally got its own pricing. The games I was getting are as follows:
- BLACK CLOVER: QUARTET KNIGHTS Deluxe Edition
- Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Edition
- TEKKEN 7 - Definitive Edition
- Tomb Raider Definitive Survivor Trilogy
I just happened to be a great bandai fan the moment I found out that they're behind my favourite anime games (Bleach excluded), especially those I've played during my childhood on PS2.
However, to my shock my social accounts were all compromised on Sunday. I nearly permanently lost my Facebook account that I had since 2012. I also lost my Steam wallet funds and inventory items, as the attacker somehow bypassed Steam Guard and used my account to sell my emotes and backgrounds. Then, he bought cheap items listed by his burner account for practically my whole wallet.
For anyone interested, I still have the emails from Steam and my market transactions history. I'm not saying that you should help me, nor asking for a specific amount of wallet funds. I'm honestly fine with anything that'll stay on my wallet until Summer Sale, or incase the games are worth more until Spring Sale.
I normally would just brush it away, but I have no source of income (I'm a broke student with an account full of mass giveaway games, cent games and bundle leftovers), and my account was stripped off every trading card, emote and background worth selling.
Even if you have no intention to help, I would highly appreciate an upvote, and if possible a "good luck". I don't wanna re-experience all that.
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
