Bain looked across at his friend for many years, huffing as he gulped in air from the short journey through the hills. Edimar had good reason to be panting, at only four and a half feet tall he was nearly as broad around, and wearing nearly as much armor as he himself weighed. He supposed they made an odd pair, for he was six foot three and only beginning to fill out, with his hair shaved off, as was his right as a Noble. The dwarf had reddish gold hair, his beard braided with intricate jewels and carved jewelry ending near his belt and was capped at its lowest point with a cylinder with the Riddermark family crest inlaid in silver around it.
"I counted fourteen Edimar, how many did you see?" Bain asked, when the dwarf looked like he had caught his breath some what.
Leaning on his axe haft, Edimar knuckled his helmet up a little before answering, a hint of eagerness touching his voice. "Same durn count. I say we surprise 'em."
Bain searched a moment longer for anything they had missed and satisfied there where no extra enemies set as a rear guard, he nodded. His nod set them both into action, the boulders and scrub brush, not to mention a few gnarled trees along the way offered the pair cover along the old wagon trail. They had cut through the hills to get ahead of the group of marauders over the last two day's. And traveled hard to do so. With the sun only a hand high on the horizon, Navaul, the first of the twin moon's was beginning to peek over the Lagoda Mountain range as they quickly prepared their ambush. And then they waited.
They had crossed the trail two days earlier. When they decided to follow it they soon found that the small band of orcs were also following the same trail, an almost identical band had used only days prior. Weather or not this was the same band or not, neither Bain nor Edimar could tell. They had followed them until it became apparent they would follow the trail through the towering stones known as The Sentries. That was where they had decided to ambush them.
There was barely three fingers widths of sun left above the horizon as it glistened off metal spear tips approaching from the south east, and moving at a steady pace in their direction. Bain had found a tree near the trail, while still alive, it had a natural hollow where the Blue-leaf had grown around a large stone. The cavity was just large enough for him to fit in with not much more room to spare! He hid there, his "Cobarr" cloak making him almost invisible. Edimar had dug a hollow under one of the large boulders that littered the area near The Sentinels, it was only a little further up the trail than Bain's tree. He only hoped Edimar wouldn't be so set on killing every orc they came across. It wasn't that he didn't want to dispatch the pestilence that boiled out of the mountains and ravaged many different lands of late. After all none of the "civilized" race's had ever not been at war with the orcs, or there kin, or not for long anyways. Orcs got bored of peace quickly. He was a competent swordsman, and Edimar was birthed in the blood of orcs as his clans few survivors escaped their ancestral Holds, or so it was written. But with seven to one odds everything had to go perfectly.
As the band, most of them wearing dark leather armor with a piece of metal here or there, glinting in the dwindling sun marched past the Blue-leaf he was hidden in, he waited for Edimar's signal. And it came as the last two orcs marched past, Edimar slid from under the boulder seemingly already in a full charge as he surged to his feet, legs already pumping to gain some momentum. With an ease learned through many years of sparring with his father's tutor's he silently stepped out of the hollow in the tree, his cobarr cloak sliding it's magical camouflage to match his surroundings making him a blur of movement for a brief moment. With two quick slashes from the silver sword he had taken from his father's mantle, he silenced one orc for good. The orc grasped for its jugular but there was no stopping its life blood from bubbling forth.
Edimar's axe exploded through the second orcs head, spraying brain matter and bits of skull over the two orcs in front of the newest victim. Both of them where just turning to see what the commotion was, and without a second's hesitation Edimar used his momentum to barrel into one of them. With a howl of surprise the orc went down with the battle-lusting dwarf smashing its nose with a studded gauntlet.
Bain blocked and parried his new adversaries wild swings, during a turning thrust he swept his sword in low, through the stunned orcs defenses and sliced its stomach open. With a feral growl the bloody orc launched itself at him flailing wildly. Bain wasn't there, he had already leaped at one of the charging orcs and swung downwards and across, cleanly taking it's head off its broad shoulders.
Edimar had gotten back up, the orc he had bowled into's face was smashed. He swung his axe at a rather large orc that at a glance Bain thought must have had a little ogre or hill giant blood. But his foe was better equipped than his former companions, and prepared! With numerous dents creasing it's breastplate from the dwarfs furious blows. As Edimar scored several solid hits, the orc had scored a few of its own, and was giving more of a fight than the others had. Edimar had a knot the size of a goose egg forming on his head from the mace the brute wielded like a seasoned veteran. The dwarfs helmet had a large dent on the left side. With a roar the dwarf fainted right, and as the brute moved to intercept him he suddenly changed directions and slid between the orcs legs, swinging his axe backwards as he came up from his knees severing its right hamstring. Off balance, the orc tried to turn to face the dwarf who was now behind him! It's leg gave way, unable to support its weight, and only slightly managed to turn to face Edimar, it dropped to one knee. Edimar had reversed his swing as the brute came down on it's knee and caught it in its unprotected lower back. The sickening crunch from its spine pulverizing under the force of the blow audible over the clang of battle around him. Edimar staggered slightly as the brute fell face down in the dirt, paralyzed and bleeding out fast.
Bain had dispatched three more orcs while Edimar had been busy with the hulking brute. The first he had neatly side stepped its spear thrust with a quick motion, a mere flick of his wrist, he drew and plunged a dagger in the middle of it's leather chest piece. The force was enough to carry it off its feet as he slammed the blade home. He did not let go of the pommel as he heaved downwards, his momentum and the orcs propelled it backwards slamming it hard into a boulder. As Bain felt the impact of the body into the boulder, he pivoted, twisting the blade free as he danced away, leaving the orc wheezing through a hole in its chest from a punctured lung. With the dagger he parried a thrust from a spear as he came fully back in line with two more orcs. The orc who's thrust had been parried tried to thrust again, but Bain's dagger caught the tip of it as he turned it away, harmlessly, and the orc found itself on the ground as Bain's heel smashed into the side of its temple from a vicious roundhouse kick. With another flick of his wrist he sent his dagger into its throat as it hit the ground prone nearly under him. The third orc swung a falchion with too much abandon managing to graze Bain's shoulder, drawing a thin cut in his leather jerkin. It cost him though as Bain suddenly stepped and pivoted bringing himself down and into a crouch. He led with his sword making a vicious horizontal slash to the legs of the orc. With a howl of agony it fell sideways as it's right leg was severed by the sword's enchantment against its kind, it's momentum carrying it over, off balance. Without hesitating, Bain stood and plunged his sword through its chest as it screamed in agony suddenly cut short as he stepped forward driving the edge up and through its torso and out through its collarbone, completing the maneuver. The sudden silence making the sound of Edimar's brute falling like that of tree crashing down, the pass now eerily quiet near the giant stone monoliths. Looking around just as the brute fell behind Edimar, he soon found the apparent leader, his arms crossed, with scars covering every visible patch of his skin. Bain noticed he watched the dwarf as if watching an wild dangerous animal. He started towards the leader, wicking the blood from his sword.
There was six orcs still breathing, including the leader and his two apparent lieutenant's. Edimar charged in, engaging another orc with a mighty overhead chop that sent its large steel shield wide. Bain paid the two combatants no more attention as he headed straight towards the two lesser orcs. They gripped their spears and the large sacks they had slung over their shoulders, glancing nervously back down the trail as if wishing they could be elsewhere right at that moment! As well they should. Bain casually tossed his sword from his right hand to his left while still six paces away, making a flourishing motion with his cobarr. The motion was made to draw there eyes away from his right hand, he was slightly quicker and a little more accurate with it. As his right hand flicked out twice, releasing two wooden handled throwing knives. They were from a special bandolier strapped across his chest. The tactic was flawless, and from that distance, if your opponent didn't see it coming it was unlikely they would be able to defend against it. The nearest orc dropped to its knees, grasping a knife that suddenly protruded from its throat and upper chest cavity. The other orc chose to flee, looking over its shoulder once from fifteen paces away, just as his last knife took it in it's back right between it's shoulder blades, sending it sliding as it's legs ceased to move more than a spasm.
Bain took stock of the rest of the survivors, he could see Edimar striding towards the leader. The orc he had been engaged with earlier laying very still against a boulder, it's head smashed. "No surrender!" Yelled the leader in there guttural language, his two lieutenants both let out a roar as they surged forward thrusting their spears. Edimar met the first with the but of his axe, knocking it off target. The orc still managed to draw a line of blood from the exposed, somewhat swollen cheek of the dwarf. In the same motion Edimar spun away from the spear thrust and smashed the hammer side of his axe head into the second orc's knee, which audibly exploded from the force of the swing. The orc let out a blood curdling scream as it dropped, clutching its ruined knee. Bain had no more time to think about his friend however, for the leader was starting around the three combatants, eyes intent on him, and only him.
He moved around his friend and the two orc lieutenants battling, his eyes and those of the bloodshot orc leader never leaving each other's gaze. As they drew near each other the leader drew a wicked looking serrated longsword, and as he moved closer performed a few forms to loosen up Bain realized he was not fighting a typical brute, but a seasoned veteran. At three paces, and without any warning from his eyes or body language, the orc leader lunged, slashing across and up, which Bain managed to parry, and then came in hard with three quick thrusts. The last caught Bain's sword and with a quick jerk and thrust he slightly off balanced him, causing Bain to have to hang on to the weapon or lose it! Somehow he managed to keep a hold of the pommel and recover his balance in time to throw the sword up as the orc leader swung his sword over his head and slammed the blade down Bain's to where guard piece overlapped guard piece. The force caused Bain's sword to give only from his own lack of physical strength. Even from the warm pulse from his right ring finger and the ring of strength he wore, the leaders biceps bulges under the many scars covering them, and his blade descended closer. The tip of the serrated sword just catching him across the forehead and down the corner of his left eye to Bain's cheek. Instinctively he pulled away and dropped to a crouch, which completely caught the orc leader off guard who tried to correct himself. Bain jerked his long dagger out of its sheath and drove it upwards into the inner thigh of the orc, who tried to leap backwards haphazardly clutching the hilt of the long dagger. The blade was all the way through the leader's leg. He kept his serrated sword trained on Bain as he cursed.
The orc leader tested the long dagger and grimaced as he drew the blade out and threw it aside. He motioned with a nod towards the corpses and dying of his band, "Do you know that for five generations our shamans have seen to it that every orc among us recognized the face of the "Blighted One". The one responsible for driving us back into the Breaking Lands, where we were tested, molded into better warriors, and hardened by the Skull Lord." The two combatants circled each other, carefully, aware of every movement the other made. "We have waited a long time for the day of Return!" He paused for a moment studying Bain as he casually wiped blood from his left eye. "Even if you win blight-elf, you will die soon after!" He thrust at Bain, there swords clashing together shedding sparks, once, twice, three times. "My blade bear's dragon root, poison to your kind!"
With a flurry of movement the orc fainted as if he was going down on one knee with a lunge. Bain didn't fall for it, and the orc barely managed to parry a spinning overhead slash, sparks flew. The force of the parry caused Bain to step back as the leader came back up on his feet, blood flowed freely from his leg wound. "And my name will go down as the warrior that defeated the Blighted One's own son!" He yelled as he lunged again, though slowed by the wound in his leg he was still fairly quick. Bain was waiting for him to try this again, had anticipated the overconfident leader would try the lunge again if he could stay out of his reach long enough. He rolled to one side and swung as he came up on his feet, the sword of his father's cleanly separating the leader's wrist as the leader missed Bain, the serrated sword tumbling to sink into the rocky ground blade first, the leader's hand still clutching its hilt three feet away. With a twist of his wrist Bain brought his sword back down and across in a vicious slash which cut completely through the orc leader's neck and down through to below the other arm.
The orc leader started to turn, a look of surprise and disbelief etched onto its ugly scarred face as he slid into two pieces in a bloody mess. His father's sword had burned through the orc like a hot knife through butter. Bain took a deep breath through his nostrils and exhaled very slowly through his mouth, slowing his heartbeat. It began to drizzle. The smell of blood, bile, and the pungent reak of burnt flesh was prominent as he took several more slow breaths. He could taste blood in his mouth as it trickled down his face from his cheek. He ripped a piece of cloth off his shirt, under his jerkin, and wrapped his head as best he could so he would still be able to see as Edimar dispatched one of the orcs that wasn't quite dead yet and began looting their bodies, Bain could see a large sack lay near the dwarf as he went about the task. Anything of value the dwarf would put in the sack.
Bain could feel the wound starting to burn as he searched the leader. He found an animal skin scroll with instructions to secure the pass and await a larger force. Edimar had finished gathering everything of value he could find and walked over to Bain, with a load clank he dropped the sack beside him. "That's everything, I also found a crude yet accurate map o' the region on this scroll." Said Edimar as he held the scroll out for his friend to take. Bain did, and handed the orders he had found to Edimar, he cautiously unrolled it so as his body protected it from the slight drizzle. The scroll was the map Edimar had mentioned, he examined it closely. "This group is part of an even larger group which plundered an elven village, apparently after slaves and treasure. By this map, their next target is the village of Raven's Point." He tapped the dot representing the villages location.
"By the gods those people should at least be warned, who knows we may even find a way to make somethin' off o' this." Edimar said as he poked the sack with his boot. "Besides, I be runnin' low on mead and tobbac. And it'd be nice to eat a decent meal!" He started to chuckle as he grabbed the bag and patted Bain on his back as he started towards The Sentinels, and the direction of Raven's Point. "We can go through this along the way."
Bain grimaced at the last as the wound in his cheek flared up in a burning sensation. He quickly rolled up the map and stuck it in his pouch, already standing to follow his friend, who was heading north west, without looking back Bain plucked the orc leader's sword out of the ground and examined it closer as he quickly caught up to Edimar. The blade was a fine blade, made of cold iron, heavier than normal but not terribly much. And of masterwork quality with a dark green emerald in the hilt. He would keep it he decided, it's hilt felt comfortable in his hand and eventually he would have to return his father's blade…..and face the consequences when he did for "borrowing" it and leaving, without permission from his father.

Seth’s intrigued gaze swapped between the surreal scene that had formed around him. From the nervous parchment-clutching rabbit in the tabard, to the terrifying bipedal canine warrior, to the mossy reptile that slumbered between them and the fancy boy perched atop it, and finally to the menacing magical menagerie. Bunnies, kittens, and beagles; Basset hounds, badgers and moles; if he squinted hard enough, Seth could have sworn that he saw a ferret caked in makeup gossiping with the dress-wearing gerbils, meeting his eyes every so often and giggling before hiding her face behind a paper fan in her shiny white paws. The crowd kept their voices low, attention drawn to the tiny monarch playing with his tarot deck and adjusting the oversized crown of liquid metal.
With every pair of eyes of the bestial gentry upon his kneeling and shackled form, the attention of the masses leaden with eager anticipation of punishment, and the freezing glare of the young prince, Seth knew that he would have to choose his next words carefully - and elected not to.
“Heya, Jacob!” Seth raised his hands, manacled at the wrists, and gave the familiar camper a goofy wiggly wave. The crowd gasped. Jacob’s idle hands stopped playing with the cards and quickly shrunk back to be held against his chest. His intense, inquisitive stare crumbled into a brief look of fear, and suddenly he turned his head away, becoming very interested in the braided vines of his dragon-throne.
The armored husky was the first to recover from the ripple of shock that Seth had sent out through the court. She marched down the marble steps, claymore practically dragging alongside her, until she stopped in front of him, raised a heavy black boot over his head, and stomped down on the manacles binding Seth’s wrists. Forcing him into a deep bow, a low growl escaped her throat.
“Silence, cur!” She barked. The whispers in the crowd had stopped now, hushed into silence by her outburst. Even the rabbit standing next to Jacob had quietly yelped into her closed fist, before quickly glancing around to make sure no one had seen her. Seth was given an intimate view of the ground as he listened to the husky’s command. “Hold your tongue. Only those who have been addressed by His Royal Majesty the Prince may speak in His divine presence. Especially so the poisonous words of a filthy thief and tramp, traitor and beggar, despoiler of His very name.”
The dog raised her foot and turned her gaze from Seth to the crowd. This gave the son of Hermes a brief reprieve to examine Jacob again, who now looked as though he wished he could sink into the moss on his dragon’s back and disappear. Had saying hello really flustered the prince that badly? From what Seth knew of Jacob - the real one, not the new and not-so-improved nightmare one - he had a nervous streak a mile wide, but he had courage where it counted, at least according to Meriwether. Following that line of reasoning, he began deciphering what else this version of the son of Hecate might share with the original, and what might be different. Magical aptitude: check. Animal friends: check. Fondness for magical playing cards: check. Easily exploitable weaknesses: maybe?? Heck, the bloke was tiny enough that a sufficiently powerful kick would probably send him flying. He was startled from his thoughts as the husky elaborated, who faced the gentry but glared at him out of the corner of her stern eyes. “It is only through His Majesty’s mercy that you retain the privilege of living. A privilege, I stress, that is easily revoked.”
She glanced back at the Prince, who had retreated into the comfort of his cards once more by summoning them out of wisps of energy circling his palms. For a split second Seth thought he saw her expression soften and brows furrow into something resembling concern, or perhaps sadness, before being replaced by steely resolve. “The Reading of the Sentence may now proceed,” she said, though with less ferocity than she had moments prior, before leveling her sword with the ground and assuming the same attentive stance as before.
At this point, the rabbit was shaking like a very well-dressed leaf in the vaguely vernal wind. She gingerly unfolded the parchment clutched in her paws, cleared her throat, and recited the words on the weathered document for all to hear: “Ahem. All be still and silent for the Reading of the Sentence!! The Accused is faced with the following crimes against the Kingdom: Conspiracy to pilfer the Prince’s prized Mana. Conspiracy to undermine or overthrow Her Most Arcane Majesty Christina and the Glorious Alabaster Line. Heresy against Her Most Arcane Majesty Christina and the Glorious Alabaster Line. Plotting to plunge the world into eternal darkness, madness and Chaos, which is against the interests of the Crown and country, and therefore considered conspiracy to undermine or overthrow Her Most Arcane Majesty Christina and the Glorious Alabaster Line. Dabbling in forbidden magicks. Evasion or underpayment of due taxes. Petty larceny. Resisting arrest. Attempting to escape due trial. On all charges has the Prince deemed the Accused guilty."
Shocker. So that’s what monarchies think a due trial looks like? He was ninety percent sure that he hasn’t done most of the illegal things! But fine, the dream needs to set the scene before the allegorical manifestation of his fellow demigod can dispense with the formalities and open up an arcane can of buttwhooping on Seth’s fragile behind. That was the general format of these encounters that he had observed so far, at least. He refrained from quipping back with something snarky in the middle of this obviously unfair trial. A comment along the lines of this being a “kangaroo court” probably would not go over well, on the slim but very real chance that there were actual kangaroos present in this court. Best not to take chances…
“Your Prodigal Majesty, the Prince, shall henceforth mete the appropriate punishment. May He have mercy on your tarnished soul,” recited the rabbit, “For your crimes are numerous, and their severity steep. Your Majesty?” She turned expectantly to Prince Jacob, who had returned to playing with his magic cards to keep himself calm. When that failed to cue him in, the hound knight cleared her throat gently, raising an armored paw to her snout while her glove gripped the claymore just a little tighter. “Prince Jacob,” she reminded the young royal. The son of Hecate started in his seat and took a terrified open-mouthed glance out at the swarm of animals waiting to hear his divine judgment. His jaw snapped shut with the swiftness of a bear trap. “Nnnh,” came his squeak of embarrassment. “Fffffuh…”
Seth hid a grin as Jacob’s notorious shyness got the better of him when faced with the insurmountable task of public speaking. For once, the Son of Hermes had a plan keeping him one step ahead of the nightmare. A key to his manacles, unseen by all, was clasped tightly in his right hand. For the badger warden hadn’t been too careful when setting him down in front of the grassy throne. Forget yoinking powers; sometimes a little classic thievery provided an elegant solution to his problems. The supernatural dream logic that granted him enhanced abilities whenever facing these nightmares. Just as Jacob struggled to dole out the sentence for these fakey fake crimes, Seth would spring into action and the fight would commence.
“F-for your c-crimes against… um… crimes against my mom… I hhhhuh. Hereby sent-t-.... Sentence you…” Jacob mumbled into his cards, pulling his legs up onto the throne to wrap one arm around them like a ball of condensed half-blood while Seth snuck the key into a better position. Both the attention of the rabbit and husky were trained on their taciturn master, giving him ample time to physically and mentally prepare. Anticipation coiled in his muscles, burning like gasoline. The key slipped into the locking mechanism. Gently, ever so gently, he began to twist. “Sentence you t-... you to..”
“To… To pet one hundred fuzzy animals in mmm… my c-court!” He declared triumphantly, flooding with relief when he realized he had reached the end of that arduous statement. All of the tension spilled from Seth’s body and he nearly dropped the key in surprise. Apparently he was the only one shocked by such an outcome; the gentry roared with approval, tossing hats, scarves and other garments into the air. One kangaroo (oh, hey, see? Good call, Seth) burst into joyful sobs and retrieved a kerchief to dab at her mascara, as though this was the best news she had heard in her entire life. The rabbit attendant clapped her hands in jubilation, and even the husky nodded gravely, as though Seth’s fate had just been sealed. The grassy dragon serving as Jacbo’s throne twitched its ears at the cacophony, before loosing a humid breath and lowering its neck back down for a snooze.
Seth had to fight himself not to double over laughing. Here he was expecting a sinister Hecate-themed showdown, but the only thing he would be fighting today was his urge to pet every animal in sight? “Wait,” he chuckled, sitting up from his kneeling position as an orderly line, policed by the armored husky, began to form to his side. In the front was the badger from before, paws shaking with excitement. “Wait, that’s it? You’re not seriously about to make me-”

THIRTY-FOUR ADORABLE ANIMALS LATER

“Okay, who’s next?!” Seth called, after giving the cuddly anteater an affectionate pat on the back and sending him on his way. His eyes gleamed playfully at the fuzzy otter wearing a monocle next in line, who slinked on over when the power thief beckoned him over. “Afternoon. How may I help you today? Head scritches and a tummy rub? Your wish is my command!”
Under the watchful eye of His Glorious Majesty Jacob of the Royal Zoo or something like that, Seth was indeed sentenced to a grueling petting of one hundred friendly animals. Oh, the horror. The cruel and unusual nature of this punishment could only be endured by someone with godlike fortitude. Indomitable force of will. The strength to carry on after administering dozens of belly rubs and words of affirmation. The universal yearning that all human beings have to pet a bunch of exotic animals that in any other setting you are really not supposed to pet. Good qualities like that. Of course, he was still a prisoner - the guard had refused to remove the manacle from his wrists. Though Seth had expertly tucked the key away in case this abhorrent torture became too much to bear, or something.
The otter rolled onto its back as Seth tickled and brushed its fur. “Who’s a cuddly, friendly guy? You are. You are.” His train of thought was interrupted by the otter’s portly laugh. “Ohoho!” it chuckled, raising a tiny limb to readjust the monocle on its face. “Indeed I am, good sir, indeed I am a cuddly, friendly guy, just as you described!”
Seth forced a smile while his insides shriveled in discomfort. He waved as the otter picked itself back up, patted itself off, and whistled a merry tune while strutting away. Okay, the fact that the animals he was petting were fully sapient was maaaybe starting to creep him out, just a little. Alas. Such was the price to pay for a life on the wrong side of the law. A shadow descended over him. He turned his gaze upwards to see the armored knight glaring down upon him.
Seth glanced around. Had he done something wrong? “Did I… do something wrong?” he echoed the sentiment in his brain.
“Silence!” commanded the bipedal. Siberian husky, although a crack in her facade told him that circumstances were definitely awry. Her piercing blue eyes conveyed the roiling anger from before, but her tail was wagging uncontrollably behind her. “You are not to speak while you. Erm. That is to say, I.. listen carefully, cur! I order you to..”
Seth finished her sentence for her. “Let me guess. You order me to pet you.”
“No. Yes. No! I mean.” Growling in discomfort, she got down on one knee, her armor noisily clanking with the untrained movement. “Two strokes on the top of the head, several pats, followed by a soft scratching behind the ears, -first the left, then the right- and then a gentle, chaste kiss on the forehead. In that order.” Seth raised his hands, poised to strike. “Will that be all?” The husky turned her head. “For now.”
The gentry looked on in envy as the feared Head of the Royal Guard of the Alabaster Line, decorated Knight Orion, daughter of the fierce warrior from whom she received her name, received copious headpats and scratches, all while maintaining her same stoic expression. Although, to Seth’s amusement, occasionally she couldn’t help herself from additional instructions. “Too soft. Not soft enough. Lower. Now to the left. No, my left. No, my other left. Yes. Adequate. Yes. Now please administer the Mantra of Virtue.”
“I’m sorry, the what?” While the orders came in, Seth leaned to one side and noticed a new attendant speaking to Jacob while the rabbit fiddled with her cufflinks. His eyes narrowed at the mysterious stranger, who was the only other human he had seen besides Jacob and himself. They sported no animal features that he could see, and was currently hunched over, whispering something inaudible into the young mage’s ear. They wore a jester’s garb of purple and green from head to toe, though the torso was styled much more akin to a tuxedo. The telltale pointy hat was devoid of bells, and no jester Seth had ever heard of would wear boots, much less ones with spikes. Though what really drew his attention was the mask. They concealed their face with a mask similar to Mara Lyone’s nightmare that he faced so long ago: the ever-gleeful porcelain smile of Comedy, through which a sinister purple mist poured from the eyes and mouth. A mist that, to his alarm, was snaking through the air and drifting directly into Jacob’s ear. The mage’s hands clenched and unclenched under the trance.
“The Mantra of Virtue, you fool! Don’t make me say it out loud!” No one, not Orion, the rabbit, or any of the gathered animals, had noticed the new arrival. Seth had to return his attention to the dog before she got too angry, although she seemed more sheepish now than anything. “You know… Tell me I’m a very good dog!”
“I’ve changed mmh. My mind,” Jacob announced, cutting the awkward conversation short. The jester clasped their gloved hands together and began to sink. A jagged pink crack in reality opened up on the marble floor, swallowing them whole. Then the lights disappeared, leaving no trace that anyone had been there. Jacob slid off of his throne, waving his hands to dismiss the line of animals awaiting their turn. The knight rose to her feet, turning to address her Prince and shaking off the inglorious posture she had assumed a minute before. “What, ah, troubles you, My Lord? Is the Sentence not proceeding how you envisioned it?”
“I have a, a, a,.... A new sentence.” The little Prince’s irises had become tinged by a swirling purple, and wisps of a similar colored smoke trickled from the edge of his lips and nostrils. The clouds overhead began to darken, and a chill wind blew through the assembled animals. Seth gingerly tapped at the key hidden in his sleeve, making sure it was still there. Carefully he brought it to the manacle’s lock.
The rabbit attendant began to back away as all of the shadows in the vicinity seemed to grow and intensify, pulling in the surrounding natural light. Leaves scattered across the garden court, and Jacob’s tarot cards were carried by the vortex. Orion’s eyes widened both in realization, and trepidation. She hesitated briefly, but rose her claymore in a fighting stance, seemingly ready to defend against her renegade ruler. “My Lord..? My Lord! Prince Jacob! Come to your senses! I beseech you, tell me what ails you?”
Jacob flicked his wrist. An unseen force knocked Orion to the side with ease, much to the horrified gasps of the crowd. Animals of all sorts began to turn tail and flee from the scene, only to be stopped in their tracks. Large thorny hedges erupted from the soil, pushing apart the stones of the path leading to the palace and boxing the gentry in. They pushed through the leaves in desperation, leaving their garments behind and retreating into shadows as the floral labyrinth surrounded the palace, its leafy walls sprouting higher and higher.
“Changed my mmmh. My mind. New sentence. Seth. Seth’s nnnh. New sentence is… d-d-... death.” Seth sprung to his feet and cast off the manacle, ready to fight. Jacob’s eyes rolled back into his head. The tiny demigod crumpled into an unconscious heap. His crown tumbled off of his head and rattled to a stop.
Seth lowered his fists and cocked a brow. “Oh.”
Out from the shadow of Jacob’s form, an indistinct murky shape bled onto the palace steps.The stormclouds began striking the distant countryside with silver lightning as the shape began to bubble like acid. The scent of countless cadavers wafted from the blob. Suddenly an appendage burst out of the living shadow’s oily membrane, a wicked forelimb that only vaguely resembled a claw. It slammed into the ground, cracking it with the force of the blow, just as a second forelimb was birthed from the miasma and grasping for a hold. Instinctually backing away from the macabre metamorphosis, Seth found that his rapier and buckler had mysteriously appeared in his hands as if responding to their master’s silent pleas for assistance, and held them aloft.
Fur sloughed off of the shadow’s sinewy body in sullied white patches. Shadowy gunk was caught in its yellowed nails the size of textbooks. A massive rabbit’s skull writhed free of the prison, with two twisted and malformed antlers exploding from the top. The fangs of such a beast grew to exaggerated proportions, nearly puncturing its own jawbone as it gnashed them together. The monster lacked a lower body, its torso instead tapering into a coil of smoke as it floated into the air. Behind its empty sockets, a single rotting apple gave off a dull golden glow, roving back and forth and extending its light in a sickly cone of vision.
“Oh,” Seth chirped. This was one bunny he was not particularly enthused about petting. “Okay.”
“Death,” repeated the towering jackalope, its throat vibrating with the rumble of two voices; Jacob’s, and a raspy, nasty gurgle that overlaid it. Symbols and runes lit up along its matted bones. As the hedge maze parted behind Seth, encouraging the beast’s prey to begin running, Jacob’s Shadow tilted its head back and screeched into the sky, clenching its claws together and drawing blue fluid from its exposed veins.
”Death!” Pounding both fists into the ground, it lowered its head and surged forward with impossible speed.

So, recently my oil pressure light was coming on after just 10 minutes of driving on my Dexta with its rebuilt engine. I investigated, installed an oil pressure gauge and measured, cold on idle, about 4 kg/cm² of oil pressure. pretty solid.
But as I kept driving, it would get lower, up to about 1kg/cm² in idle. Now I'm no mechanic, but this feels kind of concerning. of course I can push it back up to 2 or 2.5kg/cm² when giving it half or 3/4th throttle but, I feel like that isn't the point.
Anyway, we drained the oil today, it wasn't bad, there was some faint metal in there, probably from the now ~2 year old bearings, pistons and sleeves working themselves in. filters were fine, both the filter element and the rough filter on the intake. checked all the conrods, they are solid, no movement except the normal front and back play.
ran it for about 5 minutes, we were at about 2kg/cm² of oil pressure on idle, sometimes slightly below, sometimes more with more throttle. and I'm honestly unsure if that is enough. we used the oil that is specified in the users manual, SAE-30 engine oil, filled in about 8 liters. Also, worth mentioning, when we rebuilt the engine we did not touch the oil pump. we removed it cleaned it out, and installed it again, I'm no mechanic and had no reason to assume it was broken.
So.. on Thursday we plan on driving to a classic meet with tractors and trailers, about 3 and a half hours of driving.. am I safe to do this? Or is the season over for me? The last thing I want is to ruin my lovely, little blue tractor.
I also want to mention, after we refilled the engine and started it up, oil pressure was back in full after just, maybe, 5 revolutions, hence why I don't think there is an issue with the oil pump. in those 5 revolutions it filled the entire oil filter back up to build pressure.

Early guns exist like muskets and revolvers, but it is believed true power comes from pride and guns grant no pride in combat and ambition (unless used by a person with it as their weapon), people rather use swords as they are a symbol and believed giver of pride ambition, and those who use guns are shamed. Guns are often expensive as well as there are not many gunsmiths.) (me making up bs reasons on why I want to use only swords in this world) This is a modern fantasy world inhabited by humans around the 2020s but much less populated.
Backstory:
5000 year ago, the God’s were all powerful, except Roesa the Goddess of love and the granter of peace who was weak due to her ability to only love. Each God looked after a specific part of the Earth, making the Earth different physically and culturally. These God's lived in the atmosphere of Earth, hovering over their selected regions. The effects of this can sort of still be seen today. They were good God's, kind, just and helpful, often shrinking down to the Earth to party with the Humans. They brought balance. The God's brought balance by the Doxology, a list of 5 laws of the universe which they put in place. Those being: • God's are supreme and above anything. • A lie of the truth given is an evil assault on the God’s holy name. • If needed, blood shall be shed by the God's commands. • Mortals shall not murder unless given divine authority. • Your ambition is to serve the God ruling over the region you were born in. Any breaking of this rule would increase your Misó on your krísi meter, which is a sort of sin meter. People with negative Misó would be executed in grand displays in large towns. While helping society and following these laws would decrease your Misó and those with very low negative Misó would be rewarded with tools or land. However their downfall was destructive, it is believed it started when a parasite snuck into the king of the Glod's, Zlamen, brain via his ear during a party. This parasite travelled via communication, as Zlamen spoke to his fellow God's they all began to feel its symptoms. These symptoms were similar to rabies but slow and brought painful stings to the brain which was actually their brain slowly being eaten, the God's slowly became paranoid. And so, they began to theorise. They began to believe if they consumed the Goddess of love, Roesa, they would regain their sanity, and so they forged a plan to lure Roesa to do just that. The plan worked and they lured Roesa into a secluded temple, the temple that housed the tree of love. They partied with Roesa, giving her poisonous drink which eventually caused her to sleep. After this, they consumed her, ripping and tearing every limb while the now poisoned blood dripped down the temple onto the Earth below, landing on the Earth but partically landing on the Balkan nations, forever making it a place where love cannot exist, also creating sort of blood mountains, which surround the Balkans. Unconditional benevolent love on Earth was destroyed and the tree of love shrivelled, the God’s plunged further into madness, now in grief of their actions. The God’s, so demented with grief, used their power to attack each other, believing they were next to die, starting “θάνατος συντριβή” (Death Shattering) which caused each region of the world to go to war with each other in a massive free for all. As the war went on, an unknown stronger being came to remove the God’s power. Each God was imprisoned and locked into chambers in different universes one by one. However, the now poisoned blood of Roesa made an unremoveable stain, creating πρόλογος events which made sure anybody who was becoming perfect would attract negative events and also go mad with newfound power. The unknown stronger being replanted the tree of love which stopped the world from collapsing and allowed good deeds to be done again, but he couldn't remove the stain of Roesa from the Earth. This unknown stronger being, lets call him Rob, is a mysterious figure, nobody knows if he even exists, this is just one of the many theories of the God's disappearances. Right now, it is believed to be in slumber. Some suggest it may awake, but nothing has happened yet. Even though Death Shattering was a while ago, Human’s still use this as arguments for war. Some also still pray to these God’s and beg for their return as they feel it gave them a purpose. Some people even started a religion to try to contact the God’s called “οι θεοί επαφές” (The God Contacters), which house Vigils, the last remaining thing that the God’s left. Society has rebuilt, yet there are constant wars everywhere as the fight for power the God's once had continues. Governments are destroyed as fast as they are made. Because of this, many people resort to local gangs to protect their small rural villages from invaders, often being led by a person with a Reccundi.
Many different religions have formed around this central idea of ‘What happened to these God’s?’. These religions are called a “Thesis”. They are incredibly hostile to one another, their main point being ‘A lie of the truth given is an evil assault on the God’s holy name!’ There are many, many interpretations, but here are the most important/main ones:
• οι θεοί επαφές (The God Contactor's), prevalent in the south Balkans and its most powerful Thesis, there are not many, but most have a stronger Reccundi so they are generally left alone. Their theory is the theory I explained above, that the God’s were trapped by a stronger being and are caged somewhere. They believe they are still alive and can be contacted via a large amount of prayer as it is stated in the ‘αλήθεια δεν έχει ειπωθεί ακόμα’ (truth yet to be spoke) written by Zlamen that if the God’s disappear, they can be contacted via this method. However, it is said this wasn’t actually written by Zlamen and was instead written by a bookshop owner wanting to get a quick buck. People say this as the language used in the book is described as more ‘modern’ then the known books written with proof by Zlamen. Both can’t be proved, but there are hardly any other hopes of contacting them. Their founder, so called ‘Paulan’, may be real, maybe not. It is written in a book called ‘Μέρες ως ο μελλοντικός σωτήρας’ (Days as the future saviour) about his early developing of the church and what happened to the God's, but it was not written via ink, it was written via precise engravings of small yellow scratches on very, very thin paper that have been said to be glowing, this material has still has not been identified to this day. This as well as him proclaiming early that he is a ‘Saviour’ has created a divide within The God Contactor's, between those who think Paulan was a Messiah of sorts and exist make to this Thesis so Humans could contact God’s, and those who think Paulan is a ‘Forgotten’ God who created this Thesis to help humans contact them, ‘Forgotten’ as his name isn’t written in any past books. Conflicts has started over this, resulting in destruction of temples and one of the bloodiest conflicts in European history, the ‘άρση της άγνοιας’ (Removal of ignorance). 76 million deaths, started in the Bulgarian region for your reference, made the religion nearly extinct as strong Reccundi’s destroyed the innocent and themselves to remove those who went against their beliefs, causing other countries to go to war with these Reccundi. But, because most of these countries hate each other, it would only take one misfire from one side to start a full free for all. 200 years later, and the shadows still haunt the Thesis to this day. The God Contactor’s have been more bloody in their past have been very bloody, crusading throughout southern Europe and North Africa to try to find Vigil bushes and young Ineffable Reccundi’s, so they can take them to their temples to ‘protect them’. This led many people to dislike them, but they cannot do much as most God Contactor’s are original Reccundi users who have stronger Reccundi then usual. Due to most of them having the original Reccundi given by the God’s. • MORE COMING SOON
Countries:

Countries are built up of small towns that all follow the same religion, if you do not have a religion in this world you are seem as evil and will be attacked.

Magic system: In this world there is a sin meter called krísi. As you commit more good deeds, you attract people who want to kill you but you also attract people who want to love you, but if you commit bad deeds, people become intimidated by your Misó, which leads to less people wanting to kill you and less people wanting to love you, but attracts stronger people who want to kill you. This was created by Zlamen, krísi and Misó existed as a concept before the Death Shattering but Zlamen edited it as a last-ditch effort with the last of his power so people would fight.
When you commit more bad deeds it creates energy in your soul called “Misó”, this energy fuels your Malice and as the energy increases so does its power and capacity. It also fuels your ambition further, making you want to follow your deepest desires more. Having negative Misó makes it so you can take Misó from enemy attacks better due to lack of Misó clashing, basically making your health higher. Misó switches its location between your weapon when it is unsheathed and your body when it is sheathed and can be concentrated into a specific spot onto a weapon to deal more damage. Your soul slowly dies as your Misó increase, making you slowly unable to stop your ambition. It is very hard to use this energy in attacks as if two blades with high Misó, or two people with high Misó, clash it creates a small powerful shockwave. This makes it so every attack must be precise as it still deals a ton of damage. But as you clash more, you get used to this small shockwave and begin to tank it. Bad deeds increase Misó, good deeds decrease Misó. Anything below half Misó on your krísi meter is considered negative Misó.
Ambition:
Without the God's power being over people anymore, people developed ambition. Every person has a deep-down ambition. Their Reccundi and its abilities are specifically made to try to complete this ambition. A persons ‘main goal’ in life, is to complete this deep-down ambition. People with opposite ambitions are ‘pulled’ to each other, like magnets. They must cross paths in their life to battle, as person with opposite ambitions is actively stopping your ambitions, removing them will allow you to complete your ambition.
How to get a magical ability?:
To get a magical ability, you must have to have had committed at least 95% of good deeds in your life. If you are like this and are about to die, a golden sweat drop will drip from your forehead, being granted from the blood of Roesa. This is called a πρόλογος event (Prologue event). The attacker will then be frozen in a state of paralysis and the user will gain the attackers weapon for life. The weapon will not leave the user and becomes encased within the user's spine. It can be accessed by doing an unsheathing motion at the top of the user's spine. If you are shot by a bullet, you will retrain the gun as your weapon and instead of being encased within your spine, it is encased within the right side of your pelvis. This may seem like a blessing at first, but this means the Earth will never be peaceful and will always be in conflict no matter what due to humanities natural ambition when given power. This is a newer version of obtaining a Reccundi, the old method was a special fruit the God's would feed people that granted much stronger Malice's and agápi, but those fruits are now exinct as they were required a very specific creation process. Some of these users are still alive and fight over their regions as it also granted them a longer lifespan.
Rules:
• The weapon will be moulded to relate to the user's personality. E.g a dagger will turn into a dagger with 3 blades for a person with deep down violentness. (Very cool) • The destruction of these blades will kill the user. • The weapon evolves as the user changes. If the user becomes more sinful then the weapon will become longer but if the person becomes more justful then the weapon will become a part of them, leading to their agápi form. A person, however, can get a short version of their agápi form by stabbing their left eye. • The weapon also changes to which would most fit their deep down personality and attacks, e.g you may start with a dagger, but it will slowly turn into a scythe. • The user’s left eye will get a specific pattern. • Veins are inside of your weapon; these veins contain the Misó to unleash magic and refill when sheathed • As Misó increases, your weapon will start to glow an aura the same colour as your eye. • Once you complete your deep-down ambition you are given a new one.
If you have an ability, you are labelled as a “Reccundi”: There are 3 types of Reccundi: • ενικός (Singular Reccundi) - Has normal abilities relating to the user’s deep down sinful desires. E.g if a person deep down wants to control a country into believing they are their God they are given a small piece of new knowledge of the universe on how to obtain that goal, for example a person who wants to take over a country will be given knowledge on how to create fire using their Misó to cause destruction. However if your deep down desire is Good, you will be given knowledge that you can use to prevent harm still achieve your goals. This unique form of your Reccundi's powers is called your "Malice". It will start out weak, however as a person delves into these desires, the malice becomes more powerful. Doing the opposite of these desires can flip your Malice’s ability. • άφατος (Ineffable Reccundi) - A person who has the blood of a God inside them (a God has to be in your past family tree) will gain a small fraction of the God’s malice (their affilated power), they're a result of the "partying" the God's did. The person will also be guided in dreams by the God into question into doing their bidding which is usually to kill other άφατος as the God’s still hate each other. These people do not need a πρόλογος event, but rather are born with these powers instead. These people also do not have a weapon, but rather their power is unleashed via selected sounds from their mouth, like a whistle. They are also born with a false Agápi, but instead of becoming one with their Agápi, they summon it instead to fight for them, still controlling it. Ineffable Reccundi are also aided through visions which only they can see, these visions are the God’s guiding the Ineffable Reccundi on where to go to complete their ambition. If you go against these visions, they may begin to haunt you with scary imagery of your worst fears. • αίμα (Blood Reccundi) - When a person in your bloodline has died beforehand with a εξουσία, you will recieve their weapon and malice as well as their skills learnt. These people do not have access to an Agápi, and so do not have a special eye pattern, but rather they have 3 eyes; one normal right one, one special left one they have and a 3rd one on their forehead which their past family member once had. This 3rd eye goes right into their brain, allowing the past family member to speak to the Blood Reccundi. but have a much stronger forge in which the past person in your bloodline takes over your body and mind.
How to use this magic?: To use your weapons magic, you must train it to unleash magic when you do a specific motion with it. You first need to enchant your voice. To enchant your voice, you must have control over your weapon. To show control, all you need to do is win a fair duel against another Reccundi user. This will grant you one non-physical token which when enabled by saying the name of your weapon, enchants your voice for 60s. When your voice is enchanted, you are granted infinite knowledge, relating to your given Malice, on how you can use the Misó inside you to control your Malice. Then all you need to do is imagine it with your eyes closed the Misó coming out of your weapon, in a form relating to your Malice, when you do a specific motion and say a certain phrase, and boom. When you do that motion again while saying that phrase the Misó will come out the same way. You can learn one move per enchanted voice.

Ineffable Reccundi learn the same way but instead of doing a motion, they do a sound.

DIFFERENT WAYS OF USING THIS MAGIC:
Agápi, false and true:
The user's Malice will be shown slightly through their weapon, but the real power resides when they stab their left eye with said weapon, they will go into a short, false version of their agápi form which unlocks the user's imagination and gives the maximum Misó, also transforming them into a figure in which they are completely a being of their ambition. The surroundings are also affected by your ambition and act subconsciously to aid in your ambition to defeat your foe. The God's created this so Human's would be more powerful on the battlefield. However, a side effect of this is that you cannot leave the enemy's vision. After this short version is finished, the user will stumble for a minute then fall into a deep coma and will only awake after consuming the olive of a Greek olive tree, which were planted by the God's to aid in this. After consuming the olive, the user’s left eye will be repaired, and they will awake with no memory of what had happened. Doing this too many times may lead to blindless or dulling of powers. People think this is the true version of agápi, but it isn’t. It is a lie that most cannot truly comprehend over. Your true version of your agápi is when you dismiss your deepest desires, overcome your ambition and become one with the blood of love, while also losing your weapon. This version of agápi unlocks your heart and mind, the user becomes invulnerable to harm and unable to give harm which also means they cannot speak as words can be interpellated differently. Because of this, most true agapi users are seen as strange people who lack the basic skills to communicate and due to krisi, it makes most people hate them. This means they are not common in society due to most of them leaving for greater peace. These people usually live humble lives by themselves.
False Agápi rites: When you gain an Agápi, you gain a unique ‘Rite’, This grants the user unique knowledge on how to use that imagination to their advantage. A person can only have one Rite, but you can learn how to utilize it better via consuming Vigils.
Forges:
As your Misó increases, your soul slowly dies. At this point you have fuelled your Misó so much your soul is crying for help. A forge is a tattoo that is slowly engraved onto your forearm as your Misó increases, it is the words of your soul begging for you to stop. When these words are spoken, it releases the Misó inside a person, a person can concentrate the energy into a large area or into a very small area and into any form or shape. The concentration is controlled via how fast the forge is spoken, the faster the larger the area and the slower the smaller the area. When the area is smaller, the damage is higher due to higher concentration and vice versa. Having Negative Misó can make the area bring in people instead of launching people away. It can do extra damage due to the clashing of Misó’s. If the concentration is low enough, it can even force an enemy out of their Agápi. Unlike apápi, you will not fall down after it is finished but you will not be able to use your weapon for a while, shorter for more sinful people, longer for less sinful people. For Blood Reccundi, their forge is stronger as the sins of their past family member takes them as their host.
Forge Wrapping:
Blood Reccundi’s can channel their Miso onto their blades, creating a thin layer around the blade in which Miso cannot escape. By doing this, the Miso begins constantly bouncing between the weapon and the Wrap. This turns the weapon into a sort of saw which can rip through tough things.
False Agápi and Forge mixing: Mixing your Agápi and your forge will allow the user to control the area the forge is covering using their imagination. You do this by stabbing your eye as you are reading your Forge.
Ineffable Reccundi Temple Technique:
Ineffable Reccundi, through extreme, painful concentration, can exchange their Miso for Divine blood to be bestowed upon them. This divine blood trickles down from space and rains down upon them and is absorbed through the skin. If a normal human/Reccundi drinks this blood, they will die. When they have Divine blood in them, they gain a short burst of immortality for a singular minute and have heightened strength and senses, being able to track even the smallest of movements to hit very precise. When all Miso has been exchanged into Divine blood, they can use a special incantation. By covering their left eye with a unique hand gesture while this is active, the ineffable Reccundi uses all their divine blood into one move. Forgotten temple: (The God’s name). By doing this, the Ineffable Reccundi shatters the reality around them and transports those in their small radius to the temple in which their God used to reside. This temple does not abide by any natural rules, it is simply a space in the universe in which existence has manipulated to create this temple. In this temple the Ineffable Reccundi gains 1% of the God’s power (a lot), rage and control over the temple and the God’s element. The God voices that were talking to them in their dream also become real, they help the Ineffable Reccundi to decide how to destroy their opponent. But Forgotten Temples main thing is the editing of the Doxology. The ineffable Reccundi can ‘edit’ a rule out and create their own law that must be followed in this dominion.
Τέλος (End Form):
The Τέλος, also known as the end form, is the mixing of a false Agápi, forge and an Ultimate Vigil. It traps the enemy in the users mind where user can control everything, including the enemy's imagination, Misó and knowledge. It starts at only 5 seconds, but consuming more Vigil can increase the time spent here by 5 seconds each Vigil. The get an End Form, you need to have no soul, and you must have obtained an ultimate vigil. Once you have done all this you need to stab your eye to activate your false Agápi, read the forge on your arm and stab your heart during a battle with the enemy. It will then activate, and you and the enemy will be transported into your dominion. People are unable to die in this dominion, as that would remove them from your imagination. As you deal damage and come back into the normal world, the damage stays with the person who was attacked.

If the enemy somehow activate their Τέλος during this, you both are transported back to the world facing back to back with each other.

Vigil: Vigils are integral to gaining power in this universe. They are small blue circular fruits about the size of a raspberry and are believed to be what gave the God’s their power. But as the God’s fought over Earth, they planted them so Humans could gain a small amount of power to win their battles. They used to be common, but as time went on, they became scarcer. The God Contactor's crusaded over them and housed them in temples as it was the last remaining thing the God’s left, resulting in people not liking the God Contactor’s as they pillaged to find these Vigil’s using their superior Reccundi. They increase the flow of your Misó, making your more ambitious. When swallowed, they unlock your false Agápi. Temples can be found in many places; on ground, underwater, in mountains. If there is a place that is said to get you closer to God when you pray, a Church has probably built there. There are 5 things you must do to get a Vigil: • Visit a holy temple of the old God’s, located in the Balkans. There is a Priest of the old God’s located inside. • Present him the head of a άφατος (ineffable reccundi) • Defeat the Priest (who is a strong Reccundi user) because he is angry you killed one of the God’s children. You may also have to kill other people at the service, who may be Reccundi themselves. • After he dies (he will be reborn the next century), his spirit will be forced to guide you to the Garden of blue, which is a small garden surrounded by an indestructible steel barrier, located in the back of the temple. • He will cut one off its vine and ask you who do you hate the most, he will then bless the fruit against their name, then hand it to you for you to eat. After consuming, you gain your false Agápi as well as its Rite. Consuming more will increase your chances of coming across an ineffable reccundi user, increase your ambition and increase your knowledge on how to utilize your false Agápi technique. Information is also revealed on the person who you said you hated the most about their Reccundi and Malice, consuming more reveals more information. Some temples still hold the original Vigil bushes which give you stronger, God level, powers, akin to ineffable Reccundi. These are called ‘Sacred temples’ However, these sacred temples are much more protected, some Reccundi users devoting their lives to just standing there, waiting for a person who is trying to steal one. These sacred temples are rare sightings as there is a Reccundi user whose ambition is to teleport these sacred temples around, making it so it's almost impossible to obtain an original Vigil.
Types of Vigils: Each temple has a certain type of Vigil which influences a specific part of your false Agápi. Vigil of Destruction – Increases your knowledge on how to cause more destruction. Vigil of Protection – Increases your knowledge on how to defend against destruction. Vigil of Time – Increases time in your Agápi but also increases cooldown time. Vigil of Pace – Reduces time in your Agápi but makes it so you can use your Agápi more frequently with a shorter cooldown.
Cursed Vigils:
Every Vigil has a unique amount of Misó inside of it, the higher the Misó inside a Vigil the harder it is to consume but it will give you a higher effect depending on what Vigil you consumed.
Ultimate Vigil:
An ultimate Vigil is a very hard thing to obtain, it is a red circular fruit that replaces your heart after eating via dissolving the heart and embedding itself inside your body. It was once used by the God's to kill each other in the Death Shattering. You obtain it by: • Consuming 7 Vigils, having them blessed in the God you want to fight’s name. • Kill the person who is against your ambition. • Sacrificing a limb in a circle of the blood of Roesa which triggers you to go to the God you had blessed against’d . • Defeat the God. • When the God dies it will sprout a tree, consume the singular fruit of the tree. • You have gained an Ultimate Vigil. Ultimate Vigils are used to obtain your Τέλος (End form)

I tend to ride my bike downtown, my favorite place to rice past is parcel 5 or blue cross arena. Are there good burger, taco or pizza places around for a quick bite? If I’m lucky i’ll catch a food truck on my adventure but what are good places nearby by for a quick bite on the go?

I'm using the blue sky mod, and apologies if this is really obvious to everyone else, but for some reason when I cross into the everbright dimension I start taking damage, become poisoned and everything goes black. Text appears saying I'm not yet ready to enter the area, but it doesn't explain what I need to do. I could enter the lunar dimension, no problem.
I've looked through the adventurer's journal, read through the wiki entries online, tried entering in various types of armor and performed a number of internet searches but I can't find even a single other person reporting this issue. Am I missing something obvious?

So a couple years ago I lived in a fairly modern part of SoCal. My gf wanted to get ice cream at this small hipster ice cream shop. They had unique flavors (like calamansi, Ube, Thai tea etc) so this shop was pretty popular. This shop VERY CLEARLY states they are cashless ( signs on the door before you enter and at the register in BIG BOLD letters). They opened during covid so they don't handle cash, but you can pay with credit, debit, Samsung pay, Apple pay, venmo and PayPal. As a result, they don't have a real register but just an iPad you can insert a card/tap to pay (this is important later). This shop is pretty bougee and ice cream is fairly expensive ($12 for a pint for example). Usually there's a long line but that day there was just 1 person in line ahead of me, yet it took forever to get my ice cream....
As we enter the shop, boomer man was in line requesting ice cream. There's only 1 younger lady working the register and no one else in the back ( they were minutes away from closing time). The lady hands him his cup of ice cream so he tries to hand her cash. She apologized and said they don't handle cash and he needs to pay electronically.
This sent him reeeeeling.
Boomer: "Why can't I pay with cash?!?!?"
Lady: "I'm sorry but this store doesn't accept cash"
Boomer: "BUT THIS IS LEGAL TENDER!"
Lady: "I'm sorry but I can't accept that"
Boomer: "BUT THE CASH IS IN MY HAND! TAKE IT!"
Lady: " I can't. You must pay another way"
Boomer man begins to scream at her "I CAN PAY BUT YOU WONT ACCEPT MY MONEY!!! THIS IS LEGAL TENDER! IT IS AGAINST THE LAW FOR YOU TO DENY MY CASH! THIS IS UNAMERICAN!!! WHY ARENT YOU TAKING MY MONEY!?!?"
At this point, the lady is visibly uncomfortable. So she's says "sir I'm sorry but we don't accept cash. How about I give it to you on the house? Don't worry about paying.."
She was trying to be nice and end the confrontation by literally giving it to him for free, but this actually set him off even more.
Boomer: " I DONT WANT A HAND OUT! I CAN PAY FOR THE FUCKING ICE CREAM! I HAVE THE MONEY RIGHT HERE! JUST TAKE IT! THIS IS AMERICA I SHOULD BE ABLE TO BUY ICE CREAM WHEN I WANT!!!!"
At this point i feel it's important to note this Boomer is your typical old white man wearing a shirt with a blue lives matter flag on it and a military cap. Whereas the cashier is a young black girl wearing a pride flag pin on her collar.
She was visibly scared but said " sir you can just take the ice cream and go. I won't accept your cash. We physically don't have the means to handle cash here"
Boomer: "WHAT KIND OF STORE DOESNT ACCEPT CASH!?!?!? DO YOU NOT WANT PROFIT!?!?!?"
At this point the cashier was done being nice. She grabbed the ice cream and told him "OK sir we are done. You must leave now. I am not doing this".
He continues to yell obscenities at her (he noticed her pin) but she was done dealing with his bullshit. She told him to leave repeatedly and eventually he had enough and walked out. She was visibly mentally exhausted after that. I paid for our ice cream and left her a $20 tip. My gf and I stepped outside to eat and chat while she closed up shop. We were there for about 30 minutes. The entire time, this dude was walking up and down the street muttering to himself about how he didn't get his ice cream and how unamerican the shop is. Mutterimg homophobic slurs as well. Literally for 30 MINUTES just walking up and down the street. Like this is a corner shop on an intersection and this dude kept crossing the street, walk to the end of that street, turn around, cross back to this side and do it all over again.
Like bruh, she was literally going to hand you your ice cream for free but you were so proud and arrogant that you couldn't handle free ice cream. Boomers are the worst.

I've gotten a lot of different opinions from people in my life on this situation so I want to ask some unbiased people.
I (24f) have been working at my job for a year and a half. I do a good job, my reviews have all been good... except for how I dress. This is my first "corporate job". I put it in quotes because it's not really your average desk job. It's a sales office, we sell credit card machines. Its a company made up of 50 people, its a very laid back office environment. I am the receptionist... and part of the marketing team... and I do tech support... and I do office upkeep... I'm including this to show that I do a lot there. I don't just sit at the front desk and smile at people and transfer calls.. We do not have customers come into the office, the only people that come in that are not part of the staff is the occasional interviewee.
The dress code is jean casual. I signed a paper saying jeans and a nice top is the dress code. When I first got the job I felt like I was over dressing. I would wear slacks and a blouse, or a dress, or a pencil skirt and a button up.. you get the point. Business wear is not my style whatsoever... I'm an alt girly. But I know a job is a job and I sucked it up and bought clothes that were professional looking. but as I continued working I noticed everyone dressing extremely casual... I'm talking ripped jeans, leggings, slides, graphic-t's, baseball caps, hoodies.
As I continued working I realized that some of my job duties were pretty physical, sometimes I have to go into the bathroom to change the soap (if you've ever had to do that, you know sometimes that means literally laying on the bathroom floor under the sink to twist the bottle on..) or do major cleaning where I would be getting dirty. Wearing a dress or a satin blouse, was not it... So I slowly started dressing slightly down. Jeans that are not ripped, a nice top (not a t-shirt) and sandals or a clean white pair of slip on vans. Even that was more put together than 90% of the staff. Plus I was much more comfortable and confident.
I am the youngest employee, I feel like I still dress appropriately and I follow the dress code that was described when I accepted the job. The executive assistant Linda (64F) has taken a liking to me and has helped me be more professional with the way I interact with the CEO and things like that. She typically wears something like tights, ballet or the pointy flats, and a blouse or sweater (but shes 64 so the blouses are well... older lady longer blouses.. you get the picture). She did my first review and said I was doing great. Later in the week she pulled me in and told me that the CEO wants me to dress better. I was still new and trying to make a good impression so I again , bought some clothing that I felt were a little nicer but decided to stick to more of my style and colors that I liked. Since everyone else seemed to dress how they wanted too with no issue I felt like I would be able to do that too while still maintaining a professional look.
Well.. I guess not. Something is always wrong with how I dress but they always beat around the bush and don't tell me what they don't like. It's always so hush hush.. I don't wear leggings, I don't wear ripped jeans, I come with my hair done, jewelry... its business casual but like I said I'm a little alt so my outfits are black or sometimes patterned, I wear silver jewelry, I have a nose ring, that they said was fine... I even asked if they wanted me to change it to a stud and they said no it was okay. My tattoos are covered up... my hair is not an unnatural color... I don't wear like heavy alt makeup.... but I'm not a preppy blonde "clean girl" like their last receptionist.
I had my one-year review. Again, they said everything was great except... "Your dress isn't quite where we want it to be yet." At this point, I was fed up because I was really trying and I told them "You guys tell me this every review, I've bought a whole new wardrobe of business casual clothing even though the described dress code is jean casual. I feel like I dress more business-like than everyone else. I don't get what I'm doing wrong." Mind you this was my one-year review and was fully expecting a raise... they've added many more job duties than what I was originally hired for... I didn't even get a $0.50 raise. I said that I have already spent a substantial amount of money on clothing to wear at this job, I can't keep on buying different clothes for this job. They do a thing around Christmas where the higher-ups have to get their subordinates a Christmas gift. My higher-ups are the executive assistant, the sales manager, the marketing manager and the IT manager... I think they all assumed the others would get me something but none of them did. I really did not care about that at all.
Two weeks ago the executive assistant brought up the Christmas gift (she realized no one got my anything). She said that as a late Christmas gift, she wanted to get me some clothes for work. I felt pressured and in a sort of uncomfortable position so I just agreed. She suggested just ordering stuff online, I told her Shein was cheap and had a lot of variety (please don't come at me for supporting shein... i know its terrible.) I was fully expecting her to explain the kinds of clothing they were looking for and then I would be able to have some say so in like the color at least... but no... she basically had me sit there... she picked out different tops... they were all very older lady looking and colors and prints that I would never ever choose for myself.... floral blouses, bright orange, bright yellow... One of the tops came in a leopard print. I said "oh I like leopard, I can wear that with the black slacks I have." But no... i had to get the white with blue flower print. She got me gold jewelry.. like I said, I wear silver, and shoes with heels, and the pointy toe flats.
I was getting frustrated so I just let it happen. The clothes came in... and I was upset. I felt like they just dont like my style. I wore one full outfit she got me and I just looked like her.. not an outfit a 24 year old would wear. I decided to mix in the stuff that she got me with some of my own stuff. Yesterday I wore a pair of boot cut jeans, a nice black long-sleeve shirt, the gold jewelry and a pair of heels that she got me. I honestly thought I looked very nice. In the middle of the day she pulled me in and said that she was getting comments about my jeans from one of the male higher-ups. The jeans had no back pockets, but they were 100% denim. I was wearing heels, so I guess that like accentuated my legs. She told me that someone was saying that I needed to wear a top that covered my butt if I was going to wear jeggings.
I was having a rough day and I finally snapped a little. I said I felt like I was getting unfairly targeted about how I dress. I told her that I follow the dress code as described, the pants I was wearing were no jeggings, I wear the things they want me to wear, but the other women I work with continue to come in wearing leggings without their butt covered, tops with cleavage, graphic t-shirts, sweat pants, tight jeans, jogger shorts. I come in dressed in business casual even though the dress code is jean casual and there is still something wrong with my outfit almost everyday. I would understand it if I was wearing clothing that was inappropriate but that's not the case. I also said I'm starting to feel uncomfortable that everyone has something to say about how I look, I am the youngest woman here and I feel like they think they can push me around about things that don't affect my job performance. I walked out because I was sick of being insulted about how I dressed and made to feel insecure.
I have a meeting with her and the CEO tomorrow about it. Now I'm nervous that I'm going to get in trouble. Is this situation weird? Am I not seeing something? Or is this unreasonable and borderline workplace harassment?

Starting off with a Bang
Euphemia Demigloss sat in the commentator’s chair, a revived Ennius Dalton seated next to her. They excitedly greeted the viewers, and a third chair was seen turned around. Euphemia explained that each Games, they would be joined by a third commentator. The chair turned around to reveal Asha Seetle, who didn’t seem pleased to be present.
It was revealed that since no one had won the 100th Games due to the District Games abductions, the mentors for each District would perform the reaping, and for each Games afterwards the newest victor would perform the reapings as usual, doing their own District last.
Cameras focused on District 8, where Ava Berrick and Nette Charles were walking out onto the stage. Ennius commented that District 8 was a “weak District” with “little to no survival and weaponry skills.”
District 8
Ava and Nette watched the youths head into their enclosures, with Ava gently grabbing Nette’s hand and giving her a hug. Ava comforted an upset looking Nette as the last of the youths lined up, before taking on the speech herself.
Nette then walked over, apologizing to the female youths, before choosing the name of seventeen year old Fabricia Sands. A taller young lady with long brunette braids and blue eyes walked to the stage and shook Nette’s hand. Ava seemed shocked, as Fabricia was the daughter of her former mentee and revived tribute, Chintz Sands.
Fabricia was one of Chintz’s three children, and was his only daughter. She had earning acclaim with her new dying idea that made things easier for factory workers. Fabricia smiled at Nette, giving her mentor a pat on the back.
Ava then reached into the male bowl, finally choosing a slip of paper from within. Ava chose the name of sixteen year old Velour Boynton. Gasps were heard from the crowd as Mayor Chenilla Boynton nearly collapsed in horror. A blonde haired boy with blue eyes walked to the stage, much calmer than his mother.
Velour and his twin sister Velvet were close, often spending large amounts of time together. Their older brother Victor was slated to take their mother’s position when she retired.
The tributes were taken into the town hall for visits with their loved ones, while the remaining youths headed home or to work. Nette and Ava headed to the train, with Ava comforting an upset Nette.
Fabricia visited with her father, Chintz and her older brothers, twins Damask and Denim. Chintz had had all of his children using a now deceased friend as a surrogate. Chintz comforted his daughter, hugging her and telling her he loved her. Damask and Denim hugged their sister, wishing her luck in the upcoming Games. As soon as Fabricia left, Chintz broke down in tears.
Velour said goodbye to his mother, who promised to use her contacts to help him. His father was much more silent, tears at the brim of his eyes as he said goodbye to his son. Velvet cried and told Velour that she loved him, while Victor was silent, giving Velour a hug, but was too upset to speak. Chenilla sobbed as her son was taken away, with her husband and elder son comforting her.
On the train, Fabricia and Velour met up with Ava and Nette. Ava pulled out throwing knives and began teaching Velour, while Nette helped Fabricia. Both tributes were surprisingly fast learners, and Ava seemed very happy with both of them.
A large meal was brought in, and after they all ate, Ava showed her tributes the Games she had won, the 81st Games. Fabricia and Velour watched in interest as Ava explained various ways to win. Velour suggesting sneaking up on and killing large threats as a team, which Ava seemed to think was a good idea.
The next morning, the train arrived at Snow Station. Ava and Nette fixed Fabricia and Velour’s hair and clothing, before giving them advice on how to handle the Capitol crowd.
Fabricia and Velour handled the excited Capitolites quite well, with both having good manners and making a good impression.
At the apartment, Ava congratulated the two on a job well done, before getting to work on their parade outfits. Ava chose regal purple outfits with puffed sleeves, a velvet suit for Velour and a ball gown for Fabricia. Nette also helped collects measurements and decided to curl both Fabricia and Velour’s hair.
Ava turned on the television, where District 1’s reaping was just beginning. Ava said that District 1 was the richest of the main 12 Districts, with its citizens being used to win. She also commented that District 1 was one of two career Districts, and they needed to be watched out for.
District 1
Mirai Kobayashi and Dollar Crusoe stood on the large stage, with many areas prepared for the reaping games. Sixteen females and eighteen males chose to volunteer, and there would be three voting rounds. Round 1 was for weaponry, Round 2 was for any other skill, and Round 3 was the interview.
Round 1 would narrow the volunteers down to eight, while Round 2 would narrow them down to four, Round 3 would narrow it down to two, and then a final voting session would be held to see which young lady and young man would become tribute.
Two young ladies made it to the final round. Amatista Bocelli (17) had great archery skills, and great camouflage skills. She had a feisty and fun attitude. Beautia Jones (17) was part of a family often considered to be District 1 nobility, and had strong knife throwing skills. She also was a fast runner and quite quick witted with her answers.
Ultimately Beautia won the role female tribute over Amatista due to being able to be quicker with the knife throwing than Amatista was at drawing her bow. Beautia had blonde hair and blue eyes, and had great energy and quick wit.
For the males, it was Sardonyx Kensington (18) versus Bronze Bathurst (18). Sardonyx was great with a spear, and had a clever mind, especially when it came to identifying plants and fruits. Bronze was a bit more muscular than Sardonyx, and was great with a sword and had talents with lifting weights.
Ultimate Sardonyx came out on top when he revealed that he was Dollar’s nephew via his sister, Emerald. Sardonyx looked similar to his uncle, with olive skin, black hair, and green eyes.
In the town hall, Beautia assured her parents and younger brother Jaden that she would be fine and would finally bring home a victor for all of the Jones family and District 1.
Sardonyx said goodbye to his parents, older brother Cobalt, and younger sister Firoza. He seemed quite confident in his skills, and told his family that he would see them soon.
On the train, Mirai seemed happy to work with Beautia on her knife throwing skills, while Dollar worked with Sardonyx on his spear throwing skills. Dollar told Sardonyx how proud of him he was.
Beautia suggested allying with the 2s again to be a bigger throat, and Mirai admitted that she and Dollar had agreed to have the career quartet between 1 and 2 start back up again. Mirai described how Selena and Rubius seemed agreeable and excited.
A few hours later they arrived at Snow Station. Beautia and Sardonyx were happy to greet the Capitol, and both were pleased with the attention the received.
At the apartment, the two met their stylist, Pandora Whimsiwick. Pandora dressed the two in a scarlet dress and suit that were covered in garnets and rubies. Sardonyx had a long scarlet cape, while Beautia had a hoop skirt.
Parade
At the parade the next day, Beautia and Sardonyx met the 2s, Rena and Acrisius. Rena seemed happy to proclaim that she was from a middle class family, while Acrisius bragged about being a nephew of Rubius Dalton.
The four took a look around at their opponents, with Beautia pointing out Darya and Creek (4), Adrienne (5), Lorena and Parker (7), Bahia (9), Esteban (10), and Mullein (11) as the biggest threats due to their size. Acrisius laughed at Fabricia and Velour, calling them “weak looking.”
Fabricia and Velour were petting the horses, and heard the careers talking about them. Fabricia was relieved that they weren’t seen as threats, and tried her best to ignore the careers. Velour told Fabricia not to mind the careers, as they would “get them later.”
The chariot call sounded, and the tributes stepped onto their chariots, as they started to move, Fabricia grabbed Velour’s hand. Beautia giggled in glee, nearly losing her footing but Sardonyx managed to save her in time.
Beautia and Sardonyx were the first to pass through the gates. They waved at the Capitolites, even throwing rubies into the crowd. Many tried to catch the rubies.
Fabricia and Velour received applause for their regal couture outfits, with both smiling and waving, pure excitement on their faces.
Once the event was over, Fabricia nearly fell over when a stylist suddenly smashed into her. Fabricia managed to catch the woman as Creek (4) angrily shouted insults at the stylist and had to be taken away.
Later that day, Agatha Anderson was on television to announce Best Dressed. To the shock of many, she was tied between Districts 1 and 8, and asked the Capitol to help her. By a narrow margin, District 8 managed to win, and money was given to the families of Fabricia and Velour.
Training
Beautia and Sardonyx walked into training the next day, discovering that Rena and Acrisius had also arrived early. The four trained at various weaponry stations, and the other tributes arrived shortly afterwards.
Magnus Plinth had great talent with weaponry and other skills, leading him to be chosen as the new Training Master. He quickly set some ground rules, before sending his tributes off to fight.
Acrisius beat and humiliated Creek, while Synergy and Ikano hid in the electronics station. Darya hid in the pool while Creek was beaten, while Sardonyx beat Parker, Esteban, and Mullein in three separate fights one after the other.
Beautia beat Adrienne and Lorena, leaving them crying, while Rena left Bahia laying on the floor after defeating her. Barack (5) stayed in the chemical station, but did pull Adrienne over to the medical station, where Jessica and Nadir (both 12) helped heal him.
Linh and George (both 14) were both frightened and upset, and hid in the corner. Both were aged thirteen, the youngest pair this year.
Fabricia and Velour worked with knives, and saw Kinley and Elko camouflaging themselves. Fabricia commented that it reminded her of dying clothing at home. Velour saw Miller get forced into a fight with Acrisius, and appeared to feel bad for the boy.
Fabricia saw Wanda crying, and learned that the young woman had two children at home. Fabricia showed her sympathy and gave Wanda a hug, while Velour was watching Abelia, who was the youngest tribute at twelve, get bullied by Rena and Acrisius. After the 2s left, Velour gave Abelia a hug and comforted her.
Training was declared over shortly afterwards, and the tributes were taken to a waiting room to await being assessed.
Assessments
Cameras were now allowed in the assessment room, and Beautia had a strong display with knives, while Sardonyx threw his spears at targets. After a brawny display by Rena and Acrisius, a more intelligent show was seen by Synergy and Ikano.
After a swimming display from Darya, Creek tried to attack the assessors, resulting in a half hour break while he was tased and restrained. After the skills were shown by the tributes from 5, 6, and 7, Fabricia and Velour showed off equally strong knife displays. A mix of skills was shown from the remaining five Districts, then the assessments were over.
Score Reveal
Capitolites, mentors, and tributes awaited the score reveal. Ennius appeared on the screen, stating things off with a 9 for Beautia, then a 10 for Sardonyx. Rena and Acrisius also earned 10s, while Creek earned a notable 1. Adrienne scored an 8, while Lorena and Parker scored 7s.
Fabricia and Velour were both happy with their 6s, while Bahia scored an 8. Esteban and Mullein also scored 8s, while Abelia, Linh and George scored low at 2s and 3s.
This was the lowest scoring year in a while, but the Capitol remained excited for the Games.
Interviews
The next evening, it was time for tribute interviews. Euphemia Demigloss was dressed in a beautiful multicolored dress. After introducing herself and welcoming viewers, she called Beautia to the stage.
Beautia was her usual giggly self, but faltered a bit when asked about how she felt having the lowest career score. Beautia ended on a high by speaking of her excitement for the Games.
Sardonyx was quiet and confident, exuding strength. He seemed happy to speak of his connection to Dollar, but spoke of wanting to create his own legacy.
Creek tried to attack Euphemia, leading to him being dragged off the stage and tased. Adrienne spoke of wanting to see her siblings again, while Lorena and Parker spoke of being childhood friends.
Fabricia was next, and said that she wanted to honor her father, Chintz, as well as all of District 8. Fabricia said she knew she was weaker, but wanted to prove herself.
Velour stated that he wanted to win to show that District 8 wasn’t weak, and he wanted to be the first mayor’s child to win in a long time. Velour said that he wanted to see his twin sister Velvet again.
After depressing interviews from the 9s and 10s, Abelia’s proved to be even more saddening, when she begged to be sent home to her parents and siblings. Mullein was even less confident, and after the boring interviews of the 12s and 14s, it was time to talk to the Game Maker.
Game Maker Juliana Ricci spoke of wanting a “return to form” and said she had many plans for arenas. Many in the Capitol seemed curious about the arena this year, but Game Maker Ricci refused to say anything else.
The Final Night
At the apartment that night, Mirai and Dollar showed Beautia and Sardonyx the 84th, 94th, and 95th Games, and tried to get them used to what would occur over the next few days or weeks.
Fabricia cried as she admitted that she wasn’t ready to die, and Nette gently comforted her. Velour sat with Ava and asked a few questions about sewing armor.
After a night’s sleep, the tributes were awoken the next morning and fed a large breakfast, before being taken to the hovercraft.
Hovercraft and Launch Rooms
Beautia sent an excited look over to Rena, while Sardonyx and Acrisius discussed what they thought the arena would be. Fabricia started to cry and shake, but sent a weak smile over to Wanda. Velour looked over at Abelia, who was crying, before closing his eyes and wincing as the tracker was put into his arm.
After a relatively short ride, the tributes were taken off the hovercraft and to their launch rooms. They were dressed in t shirts of their district colors, black shorts, and white socks and tennis shoes. They were then visited by their mentors.
Mirai wished Beautia luck, giving the girl a pat on the back. Mirai watched as Beautia got into her tube. Meanwhile Dollar told Sardonyx to make him proud, and seemed very excited to see his nephew fight.
Nette and Fabricia were both in tears, with Nette giving Fabricia a long hug. Ava hugged Velour, telling him that he had the smarts to win.
The tribute tubes rose up into the arena, and the mentors were taken to the Game Maker building, which had apartments. Here, the mentors would watch the Games and also live while the Games occurred.
Mirai and Dollar began conversation with Selena and Rubius, while Ava comforted Nette as she sobbed. The arena became visible on the screen, and many mentors were surprised.

This has um turned into a big rant than the question itself, if it's your thing do enjoy, but if not, sorry btw I would appreciate the answer but typed it all out in a text was way more satisfied that I thought.
Hi, I know it's a very specific question but is there any cheap hand held linux-based device that can run deadcell comfortably, this is my third time playing deadcells 1st on android just base game 2bc cleared, 2nd on my Ipad by apple arcade which I almost completely cleared, all things unlocked most achievements acquired which I cancelled it, it's way too expensive for me annually I mostly play deadcells anyway, besides it doesn't have the latest updates, all those weapons mutations u know comb and scissors and other stuffs, and this is my 3rd times after buying my new laptop I bought it via steam full catalogue, it was on sale not by a lot but it's on sale, but I don't have a lot of hours to spend on laptop, I have a lot of "family outings" to attend, so I would say 2 hours a day on average, but if I have something in my pocket that can run deadcells it would be a delight since I can play it on the road (I'm living far away from civilization so usually we drive like half an hour away for dinners plus all the waiting and stuffs it would be cool to play it on the go), at first I tought about steam deck, but it's a month worth of my laboring work, so it's a bit of a "eventually one day" for me, if there is no other option I will save money and go for it.
But is there any any option I could choose to make it now like around 100usd ish stuffs that could run deadcell comfortably, buying full dlcs on android again is also an option but my phone is not the coolest it's kinda hot after a bit, so if no other option I might choose it and buy those smart phone controller or sth, I currently use my 8bitdo sn30 pro+ for all of my consoles phone, ipad, laptop, and switch, yea I got a switch but it's locked in my dorm far away since I was forced to come back home I didn't have time to pack my stuffs, so that is also an option but u know the game doesn't have a cross platform saves, and it's pretty expensive, as a switch user I was always envy those who have good laptop or pc steam library is wayyyyy cheaper, that was.... not the point, the point was I just want a single platform to acheive all those again it was sad having to forfeit all the stuffs I have done and start anew, now I'm on 3bc with a lot of mutation locked it's terrible, when I accidentally got a legendary weapons but realizing I don't have the mutation to match it, u could say it's challenging well it is fun in a way but still I want all my stuffs back, now I'm like go assist mode to collect all the blue prints but it's not exactly fun, I used to be like "come u lil piece of shxt" or "shxt shxt shxt, I'm soooooo fxcked" with a couple of curses and no enermy to beat and a boss up next, now I'm just like "well nah nevermind", u know it took the thrills away😩😩 Oh I almost forgot the reason I mentioned my controller was that it was no really ideal to bring a phone and the controller and the phome attaching accessory with me all the time it would be better with ipad and a controller seperated, I know I'm a lil piece of slob like that, but u know it really is a pain and that's why I went that far with the ipad version.

Charles Mingus East Coasting (VG+/VG) So, the vinyl is very clean but the jacket shows evidence of some previous water damage on the bottom half. There isn't any discoloration but the bottom of the sleeve (by his legs) is a bit wavy and there are a few different spots with scuffing/missing laminate. $8
Soundtrack (Hoenig & Robinson) The Gate (Hot Pink w/Gold Swirl) (VG+/VG) Vinyl is very clean. Sleeve is largely very sharp but I'm grading it VG due to the state of the additional mock cover which is thin paper that has a fair bit of crumpling and a small tear or two along the top edge. $25
Soundtrack (Myrow & Seagrave) Phantasm (Red/Grey Swirl) (NM/VG+) Vinyl is near pristine. Jacket is very clean. $30
Tweedy Sukierae (White Sleeve Promo - Signed by both Big and Little Tweedy) (NM/VG+) Vinyl is unplayed. This is one of the early advances that came in a generic white sleeve that was signed by both Jeff Tweedy and that there little Tweedy. Includes the original one-sheet. $40
Geinoh Yamashirogumi Akira Symphonic Suite (Mispress) (VG+/VG+) So, little bit of a strange one. This copy was meant to be part of Light in the Attic's Red and Black Marbled run (the matrix numbers are identical) but instead of colored vinyl, this one was pressed up on standard black. Believe the labels ended up sending out the few misprints as promos. Copy has some paper scuffing from the sleeves but nothing that affects play. $25
Steve Keene Art
So, not an album but a couple of fun little pieces of wall art. If you're unfamiliar, Steve Keene is an artist who was commissioned to do a number of different album covers in the 90's including Pavement's Wowee Zowee, Silver Jews' The Arizona Record, stuff by The Apples In Stereo, Band Of Horses, etc. For years, he's been doing this SK series in which he recreates album covers in his own style. He cranks them out and they tend not to be very expensive but, unless you bump into him in New York, you can only order blind grab bags from his website. I've got both a Malkmus Mirror Traffic and Apples In Stereo up for grabs. You can find images here. These were given to me years back but I've got a few others of his on the wall in the record room and would prefer that someone else enjoy them on theirs. RIAA Gold and Platinum Awards
So, at the moment, I'm sitting on a number of RIAA awards for various albums. Pricing these out involves a fair amount of guesswork because they're often not really readily available in the marketplace. I've sold a couple for $600-$750 and others for $10-$20. Just sort of depends on the artists/release. These were only ever issued to folks who were somehow involved with the creation and/or promotion and sales of the album. The ones I've got on hand were largely presented to a buyer working for a major retail partner. They each includes plaques that are personalized to that original recipient but, y'know, they're still fun little collectibles and you could always change your name. Please note that I'm not going to be able to ship these until I'm back from my vacation. I'll need a couple of days after my return to source appropriate boxes and packing materials. If you're in the Boston area and up for picking one of these up and saving me the trouble of shipping, I'll cut you a deal.
