Am I the only one who completely falls in love with their legacy house?
I start a legacy sim, select a random house (Whether it's big enough for a family or pretty enough to my likings), and I start to make it seem like someone lives in it. I renovate it, I add pictures of my sims on it's walls, I add/remove annexes for the house.
My current legacy house has changed aesthetics like 3 times, has received a new whole floor, with 5 rooms, has gotten an upgrade from 1 small bathroom to 2 big bathrooms and 1 small en-suite bathroom for the parent's bedroom, has had 4 generations up to now living inside it, has had dogs, cats, ghosts, children, toddlers, kids, adults, elders living inside it, has had parties in it's backyard, weddings on it's side, Sunday BBQ's, has been a student's haven for quite a while, has seen kids grow up to be doctors, teachers, detectives, athletes...

This tale of woe is also heightened because . . . His mother (also living in the house), is my de facto landlord. If I said that she is not happy that no one has water, that would be an understatement. It's a commodity for her on the daily. Like FR she needs this fixed. Furthermore, she is REALLY not happy that this happened at 3AM. . . . while Eminem was blaring . . . With a score of empty Modelo and Four Loko cans littered about the backyard. It is Important that I attempt to assist. Like ASAP. I'm on a tenuous trial period with a month-to-month lease. And despite the fact that it wasnt’t my fault, I'm definitely complicit by association. I need to score some responsible tenant points. Is there a temporary solution? Plumber's putty? Some sort of valve clamp maybe? Oh, that gate valve (circled in red) literally took us 5-10 minutes just to turn the necessary 90° to shut off the flow. We got soaked.A cellphone was ruined.Thank God for YouTube; a solution was provided on my first search: I employed the cloth wraparound trick. It worked. Now, though, we are without much-needed H2O. Señora (landlord) is a boss. She manages countless grandkids and cooks daily for her extended family. I need to at least try to lend a hand, so please help a dude out. And being near a large city, you will find plenty of jobs, amenities, airport, restaurants, stores, and schools. This house's high school is rated 7/10 too.

I've been a dedicated player of The Sims since its early days, and over the years, I've seen the game evolve in many ways. However, one aspect that has consistently disappointed me is how decorations are handled. For a game that's supposed to simulate life, the way decorations work — or rather, don't work — feels like a huge missed opportunity.
I've poured countless hours into designing homes and creating stories in The Sims. One of the things I always looked forward to was setting up my Sims' houses for different occasions, especially holidays. But decorations seem to serve no real purpose other than looking pretty. Sure, they might boost emotions or whatever, but that's about it. My Sims don't interact to them in any meaningful way. It's frustrating because, in real life, decorations can transform a space and impact our moods and interactions significantly.
It feels like the game is more concerned with how things look rather than how they play. This focus on aesthetics seems to cater primarily to Simmers who are into taking pictures or making videos for social media and streaming. And don't get me wrong, I appreciate the creativity in the community and enjoy seeing what people come up with. But for someone like me, who values the gameplay and the stories that emerge from it, the lack of functional decorations is a letdown.
I can decorate to my heart's content, but it often feels hollow because my Sims don’t seem to care. It’s like the developers prioritized adding more decorative items to the catalog without considering how these items could enhance the gameplay experience. Decorations should be more than just background props — they should be integral to the experience, enhancing the simulation.
The Sims 4 has brought many improvements, but in its pursuit of visual customization, it has lost some of the magic that made the earlier games so engaging. I miss the deeper gameplay mechanics and the way little details could make a big difference. Decorations could be a part of that, if only they were given more functionality.

My BF's 1yr old German Shepherd comes to my house w him fairly often and almost every time, he gets diarrhea (and not only outside, unfortunately). He says he has loose stools sometimes at home but never goes in his house.
This seems to happen when we're playing w his ball, which (as you all probably know) is his obsession, he just goes crazy over this thing.
Wondering if maybe he has some anxiety coming to my house, maybe he's really excited to be here (he loves me and seems to like my house), or if there's something else going on here, like with his diet. Maybe a combination of everything? He spends time outside in my BF's backyard at home but I don't have a fence so we can't do that here. He's been here probably 10x.
Any similar experiences and did you change food? If yes did it help, if not what else can we do to make him more comfortable? I feel so bad for him, especially if you all think this environment may be stressing him out.

i had a dream my parents had a giant party with family in my childhood trailer. i mean there was people inside, backyard, and all in the front yard. i was told everyone wanted a picture so i started yelling for everyone to come to the front of the house for this group pic. once i started yelling everyone started shooting their guns into the sky like 20-30 people doing this. the cops were called and everyone ran and the cops gave my parents a ticket. then in the same dream, my sink was broken and someone had to come fix it.

 | We had a new concrete service path and patio installed along the side and back of our house in the Fall. At that time, there was a chain link fence around the backyard and metal posts in the area of the concrete pad/path for that fence. submitted by philadelphiamuc to Concrete [link] [comments] Last week we replaced that chain link fence with a wooden one, so the contractor had to saw out the existing metal posts, install a new wooden fence post, and set it in new concrete. A week later- this is how the fence post area looks like. There is now a new crack there as well. What I’m asking is this- am I being unreasonable in expecting this to look better than it does? TLDR: I’m looking for advice from the community about rituals or spells that would help cleanse/prepare a new home my husband and I are moving into.
I’ve had a weird roller coaster of a year (the past 12ish months) where a lot in my life has changed. Job loss, loss of a close family member, unexpected longterm travel, new job, unexpected pregnancy with our first child, loss of our beloved dog, etc.
This had culminated in my husband and I deciding to make a change and move out of the small condo we’ve lived in for 15 years into a bigger, roomier rental house before our baby is born.
We get the keys in a few days and I want to prepare/cleanse the physical space and also prepare ourselves for what feels like a big reset on our lives while we prepare to welcome our baby.
I’m looking for your suggestions because , basically, this past year I got distracted with everything and dropped most of my witchcraft practices. It’s like I’ve been in a spiritual hiatus. I’d like to also use this as a chance to reset and start practicing again. My practice is eclectic and laid back, but I’m Latina - my ancestry is a mix of south American indigenous and Spanish, and my direct maternal line is Italian, so those are the practices that resonate most with me.
I plan to do a smoke cleanse of the whole house before we move our stuff in, and do some meditation and intention setting, but I’d love suggestions for other rituals or spells I might do to prepare the home to make it a safe happy space, and help us leave behind the negative stuff and hit reset. I have access to a fireplace, as well as an outdoor fire pit in the backyard. I like making spell jars, but it’s been a long time since I’ve made one. I also like to work with kitchen Witchery, plants, tarot, candles, and journaling.

Can someone with personal experience confirm that the 2022 model of the ROG Flow X16 (3060 version) has 6Ghz WiFi capability?
Everything I read about it, including official specs, say it supports "Wifi 6E". But no sources state explicitly that it can detect 6Ghz WiFi bands. So I'm wondering if it doesn't?
The reason I ask is because I bought a 6E tri-band router (TP-Link AXE5400/Archer AXE75) to improve my wireless game streaming ability in the house. But my two supposedly 6E-capable devices (Galaxy S20 FE and ROG Flow X16) can't detect my 6Ghz band. I've tried everything in my router settings to make sure it's enable and readily available. So now I'm just trying to make doubly sure my 6E devices are actually 6E.
SO if someone can confirm that their unit connects specifically to the 6Ghz band of their tri-band 6E WiFi (ensure that you are not just on the 5Ghz band), that would be super helpful in eliminating this variable for me. Much appreciated!

Everything I read about it, including official specs, say it supports "Wifi 6E". But no sources state explicitly that it can detect 6Ghz WiFi bands. So I'm wondering if it doesn't?
The reason I ask is because I bought a 6E tri-band router (TP-Link AXE5400/Archer AXE75) to improve my wireless game streaming ability in the house. But my two supposedly 6E-capable devices (Galaxy S20 FE and ROG Flow X16) can't detect my 6Ghz band. I've tried everything in my router settings to make sure it's enable and readily available. So now I'm just trying to make doubly sure my 6E devices are actually 6E.
SO if someone can confirm that their unit connects specifically to the 6Ghz band of their tri-band 6E WiFi (ensure that you are not just on the 5Ghz band), that would be super helpful in eliminating this variable for me. Much appreciated!

Green: i'll be lifting the flags, levelling whatever is underneath and covering with stone to serve as the base for the shed skids to sit on. Blue: What prep will be needed on the walls before rendering? do i need to get rid of all the growth cominmg out of it or can i slap on cement? Red: This will need some cleanup and there is possibly a secondary problem here being damp. I cant see the indside of the wall as its covered in kitchen cabinets but we do have some damp in the back room and the bricks look similar.

 | We live at the bottom of a hill and water is continuously pooling into our back yard from surrounding yards. Even several days after a rain occurs there is still soggy mud that never seems to go away. The water flows across our yard to the neighbors yard, where there is a large city concrete sewer drain. Initially, there were several trees with large roots blocking the flow of water and I had these taken out but it did not resolve the problem. Received a quote from a drainage company and they suggested laying several tons of dirt in our backyard to raise the elevation. However, I don't understand where the water will go other than backup in our neighbor's yard cause more mosquitoes to breed. I thought about installing a catch basin with PVC pipe extending underground to the neighbor 's City drain. But recently saw Reddit post about natural streams. He was singing because he's so happy to be breathing the same air as me and she sat in front of him as if he was singing to her. Then they talked like twice and when I talked to him he said that she pisses him off with her megaphone head (wth). I noticed she walked away from him all the times I returned to craft more bait, as if there was a secret I shouldn't know about.
