I have extensively worked in it categorizing my transactions back over a year and ALL accounts and credit cards etc. exception is that I cannot connect my Fidelity 401k accounts, but that’s OK because I don’t use those daily anyway.
I have been using a homemade spreadsheet for over a decade, probably two, and I have always had a really close handle and my finances, but I’ve had to spend significant time to make sure I account for everything. However, with Monarch, it lays it all out for me and it’s so easy to understand when the next bill is coming. I work on it daily which keeps me 100% up to date at my fingertips. At a store - can I afford a new purse? Monarch answers immediately. I LOVE it.
I am so happy I found this app! I do have one question though, I have created many many rules and sometimes I would like to go and run all the rules on all transactions instead of just one rule on one transaction at a time. Is there a way to tell the app to run rules on all transactions now? Also if the developers of this app happen to be reading here, you should put the rules in reverse order of when they were created. To run a new rule I had to scroll down over 40 rules to get to the bottom.
If anybody has advice on how to run all the rules at once I’m all ears!

I was very excited for GPT-4o, I wanted it to be great, but after a few days I'll be honest and share my personal experience - it makes so many incoherent mistakes that I have to go back to older GPT-4 versions
To the people who get upset and don't believe me, or think I'm a paid hate bot, I usually don't complain about GPT updates, actually I've defended them in the past
There's a theory that maybe OpenAI is A/B testing us, because I've spent some time reading other people's comments, and it looks like ~50/50 have a better or worse experience with GPT-4o for coding - and IMO there's no way that the other 50% of you guys have the same GPT-4o version that we have. It's simply impossible, that's how bad our version is
I'm a software engineer and GPT-4o unfortunately can't write a relatively simple Rust QUIC serveclient project without compilation errors (including some basic logging and config modules). I've pasted in plenty of documentation from the relevant GitHub QUIC project, into the chat, and it just keeps making incoherent code that fails and generates 5-10 compiler errors every single time. It deviates away from the documentation randomly. I've spent multiple hours trying and trying to make it write just a functioning project now, and after a long time I just have to give up. It can't fix its own compiler errors no matter how many times I feed the terminal output back to GPT-4o. I can just keep feeding it back error messages 100 times, and then it changes some code (seemingly randomly) and makes other errors or even more errors (or sometimes the exact same errors)
It also often ignores my instructions, for example I was showing GPT-4o 6 compilation errors from my terminal. Then in the same text bubble as the error lines, at the end of the message, I wrote:

I don't understand how we can get these errors when we follow the example files relatively close Q1) Does that mean that their code is wrong, or is something else going on? Q2) I'm developing on Mac right now by the way, but I don't think that should break anything here? Please answer these 2 questions comprehensively before you do anything else 

I'm very clearly telling it to answer these 2 questions, but it ignores the questions completely, and it just immediately starts talking about the error messages, and then it starts writing more incorrect "solutions" that just generate more errors. This is concerning compared to GPT-4, which always understands when you tell it to "do X before you do anything else"

I was very excited for GPT-4o, I wanted it to be great, but after a few days I'll be honest and share my personal experience - it makes so many incoherent mistakes that I have to go back to older GPT-4 versions
To the people who get upset and don't believe me, or think I'm a paid hate bot, I usually don't complain about GPT updates, actually I've defended them in the past
There's a theory that maybe OpenAI is A/B testing us, because I've spent some time reading other people's comments, and it looks like ~50/50 have a better or worse experience with GPT-4o for coding - and IMO there's no way that the other 50% of you guys have the same GPT-4o version that we have. It's simply impossible, that's how bad our version is
I'm a software engineer and GPT-4o unfortunately can't write a relatively simple Rust QUIC serveclient project without compilation errors (including some basic logging and config modules). I've pasted in plenty of documentation from the relevant GitHub QUIC project, into the chat, and it just keeps making incoherent code that fails and generates 5-10 compiler errors every single time. It deviates away from the documentation randomly. I've spent multiple hours trying and trying to make it write just a functioning project now, and after a long time I just have to give up. It can't fix its own compiler errors no matter how many times I feed the terminal output back to GPT-4o. I can just keep feeding it back error messages 100 times, and then it changes some code (seemingly randomly) and makes other errors or even more errors (or sometimes the exact same errors)
It also often ignores my instructions, for example I was showing GPT-4o 6 compilation errors from my terminal. Then in the same text bubble as the error lines, at the end of the message, I wrote:

I don't understand how we can get these errors when we follow the example files relatively close Q1) Does that mean that their code is wrong, or is something else going on? Q2) I'm developing on Mac right now by the way, but I don't think that should break anything here? Please answer these 2 questions comprehensively before you do anything else 

I'm very clearly telling it to answer these 2 questions, but it ignores the questions completely, and it just immediately starts talking about the error messages, and then it starts writing more incorrect "solutions" that just generate more errors. This is concerning compared to GPT-4, which always understands when you tell it to "do X before you do anything else"

Hey fellow redditors, I hope all is well. I believe I already know the answer to my question but I’m going to write out my story and see what you all think anyways. Maybe someone can reassure me it isn’t the worst idea of all time.
So, I resigned from my job in sponsorship on June 7th, 2023.
A Timeline of Events:
February, 2023: towards the end of February my boss and I had our weekly meeting. For some context, my old boss is the VP of sponsorships and I was an entry level employee when I worked for her. She did not hire me and came on about a month after I did in May of 2022. Right as she was hired all the other people left and it was just me and her in the department. She never appeared to be too thrilled with this arrangement constantly referring to how ‘young I am” in a way that I perceived to have a negative connotation (maybe she meant nothing by it but it didn’t really feel that way to me). Besides the ‘young’ comments I actually truly believed we had a great relationship and looked up to her as a mentor. She would constantly say things like, “if I were going to a new job I would 100% take you with me” and “how excited she was to work together for a long time”. We worked for a sports team and it was my first season and on our weekly meeting this February, feeling like it was an open environment, I decided to share some of my nerves and insecurities with her for the upcoming season and transparently I got a little bit emotional. That’s not abnormal for me, I’m a male who tears up relatively easily (at least compared to other males). I have seen therapists, psychologists and they all say it’s normal for how my body reacts. But it did indeed happen with my manager. (And yes I was very embarrassed)
March 2023: we had our weekly meeting again the following week and going into this one felt a bit odd because we hadn’t spoken at all between meetings. That had actually never happened in any of the prior 8 months I worked with her, so it did feel off to me right off the jump. And then first thing right when she gets on the call she asks me this question verbatim, “are you on any medications? High Functioning people are often on some sort of medication.” I can literally relive that moment like I’m there right now it’s wild. In the moment I was confused so in response I asked her to elaborate on what she meant(I genuinely didn’t know what she meant by that statement the first time I heard it). She refused to elaborate, stood up extremely straight in her chair and said ‘actually that’s not something I should ask you’ and got off the zoom conference. I decided to look past this, citing the great relationship that I thought we had and I moved on.
Fast forward to one week later, still earlyish March, and naturally we had our next weekly call. All the while, communication besides weekly meetings has basically ended and the air feels noticeably different to me in my gut. She gets on the call and first thing she asks is EXACTLY the same question as the last week. This time around sirens start going off in my head, “what the hell does she mean by that?” “What does high functioning mean? “Is she saying that I’m accomplishing so many tasks that I should be on medication? Then, I Googled High Functioning and found out that it’s a phrase that can also be used when referring to somebody with neurodiversity or on the Autistic Spectrum. As we continue, it’s important to note that I hit all my metrics and all things were well on track for the season to begin at this point in time. However, it was also at this point where things really began going downhill for me.
(Quick note: I have never in my life been diagnosed with Autism or any other mental illness and I had been to therapy multiple times without anything like this coming up)
April 2023: at this point I’m genuinely on the verge of having a mental breakdown. “Does she actually think I’m autistic.” “Do other people see that too?” “AM i autistic? Like sure I can be bit awkward at times.” (I apologize if this is offensive in any way, but this was genuinely how I felt in the moment.)
I could not function at this point in time at all. I was an absolute mess, but I didn’t want to jeopardize my career and continued working. Things between my manager and I are strange at this point as well, and that’s putting it lightly. She began withholding information and did two things to purposefully make look bad in public (too long to detail here, but clearly took advantage of my poor mental state in hindsight)
May 18th - fast forward a little bit to mid May and the season is about to start. All my sponsorship stuff is ready and I’m good to go. The first game goes smooth from a sponsorship perspective.
Monday, May 21st: my boss and I have our weekly meeting and she says, “now that the season has began and our sponsorship assets are set we are going to move you to a new department and that I don’t really ‘belong’ in a social role with no further explanation. I resigned on the spot, and gave her my 2 week notice. This was a horrible decision in hindsight and was exactly what she wanted me to do. I had no proof of any of her bullshit, as I didn’t understand the nature of our relationship until it was way too late. And everything happened verbally.
Fast forward to a year later and I still can’t look people in the eyes without tearing up, and she’s making money off DEI values she fails to uphold herself.
I am very angry, don’t have the proof to prove discrimination in court. But I really feel the need to do something.

Hey everyone! Found out I passed this past Wednesday, and figured I'd do a writeup now that I have some time. Hope you all find some of this helpful!
Background: USMD, about to be MS3 this summer, 2yr preclinical. Used Anking all throughout preclinical and matured about 75% of it, but tbh slacked on reviews starting January of this year. Decided to take 5 weeks of dedicated.
Dedicated Study: Saturdays were my NBME days + review, Sunday off. Rest of the week was studying weaknesses based on the previous exam.

• UWorld -- Did around 80-100 questions a day. Blocks were a middle ground between mixed and focused in which I would pair topics that tended to overlap together -- for instance, having a block with cardiovascular, pulm, and heme. If there was a topic I really wanted to hammer (say heme), I'd do a 20q block of ONLY heme, and then another 20q block of heme/cardio/pulm.
• Anki -- Gave up doing my reviews, instead made a separate deck of cards that I made for only incorrects from UWorld and NBME. Keeping up with these cards on incorrects is honestly key if you're an anki user.
• First Aid -- Yes, use it. Never did the whole "read it cover to cover" thing, used it as a reference when I had specific topics I knew I needed to review.
• Pathoma/BnB/Sketchy -- Pathoma 1-3 is a necessity. Sketchy is good for micro/pharm. Otherwise, I would rarely actually watch videos during my dedicated because I found it a time sink. The only time I would sit and watch a video if it was a topic I had completely forgotten or found extremely confusing. Aside from that, would just use FA as my way to review things.
• 100 Concepts Anatomy -- I found it helpful, broke it up and went through it within a week. Found the anatomy on uppelower extremity, GI, and GU to be most helpful.
• Mehlman Docs -- I tried to go through these, my brain hated them, but your brain might love them, so give them a try. Arrows definitely seemed to be the most useful if anything though.

Scores: I want to emphasize first and foremost, you DO NOT need to have scores like mine to pass! It is nice to have a buffer, but don't be intimidated by mine nor other people's scores on Reddit when they're 70+. There's a reason why around 65 is the goal -- trust the NBMEs and the fact that you'd have a very high chance of passing by then.
UWorld: 70% correct with 69% (nice) used NBME 25: 68% NBME 27: 70% NBME 28: 72% NBME 29: 74% NBME 30: 79% NBME 31: 81% Free 120 (2024): 80%
Test Day: Honestly, I was more anxious the night before than the day of. Morning of the exam, I literally was just listening to music on the drive there, and after a few of questions of the first block was able to fully chill out. Just definitely be confident in your preparation and in your scores! Real exam is definitely most similar to the Free 120 -- stems are slightly longer than most of the NBMEs, but I didn't really find them EXTREMELY long or an issue; typically finished blocks with 10-15 minutes left unless it was a harder block for me. In general though, it genuinely is a reasonable exam. You'll get a couple questions where you'll have no idea what the answer is, but otherwise most of the exam will be things you have seen. When I finished, I felt pretty neutral about the exam and how it went, but if you feel bad afterwards -- that is completely normal!
General Tips:

1. You don't need to know everything, you only need to know enough. Really though, don't get bogged down on tiny details that *may* pop up on the exam -- focus on patterns you see in NBMEs, recognizing clinical presentations for HY pathology, and hone in on being able to figure out an answer even if you only know part of what it's talking about.
2. Force yourself to study your weaknesses. If it's hard for you, then you're studying the right thing. Studying your weaknesses is the biggest key in making increases in your score, and is probably the main reason why I was able to consistently increase my score each week. I would look at your previous NBME, identify the 2-3 areas that you had the lowest scores in, and split up your time throughout the week to focus on those areas. Be flexible and readjust each week. Don't bother with studying things that you're already doing well with -- for instance, I was consistently doing well with neuro and didn't review it at all until my last week of studying.
3. Carefully review UWorld explanations and NBMEs. This is how you learn! With UWorld, I would read the explanations for incorrects fully + make 1-2 anki cards on it, and for those I got correct, I'd make sure my reasoning was right and only read the learning objective at the end. For NBMEs, the explanations are very frustrating to learn from, but still read them, and if I was still confused, I'd just make a list of topics to revisit in FA later.
4. Analyze NBME (or even UWorld) stems. Something I found myself doing is getting down to a 50/50, and then choosing the wrong answer. But there is ALWAYS something in the stem that the question writer wants you to pick up on to choose the correct answer. I found that while I was reviewing NBMEs, taking a few seconds to look at the stem again and basically ask "What is the key piece of info that I missed?" is super helpful in pattern recognition and learning how NBME tends to test certain topics.
5. Take care of yourself! It's so easy to get wrapped up in studying and feel like there are a billion things that you still haven't reviewed. Of course don't take this too far, but be sure to take at least one day off each week, and if you're really not feeling it, take an extra day off. There were a few days where my brain really wasn't into studying, and I'd only be able to get 40 UWorld questions done, if even that. And that's ok! Breaks are needed.

So I have often wondered about the real rules that govern speech that people use. For instance using something similar to a "glottal stop" to end words like "don't" and "that". The "t" is not pronounced. Or how "r" is almost always used as a vowel (in american english). My favorite examples are "fur", "fir", and "-fer". All three are pronounced identically and the typical "i,u,e" vowels are not pronounced at all. Its just pronounced "fr".

One day I was looking at a spectrograph of my voice, and I noticed some patterns. Vowels like "ah" in "stop" and "Bob" look very different from other vowels like "ee" in "green" and "bee". When we speak, there is the most prominant lowest frequency called the "fundamental", and there are many other frequencies that are multiples of that frequency called "harmonics". The sound "ah" has high volume on many of the harmonics, but the sound "ee" has a big gap where the harmonics are much much smaller. Every different vowel had its own combination of different harmonic values.

So I tried to create a set of rules by hand to classify different frequency patterns as different vowels. I could easily tell them apart by looking at them, but would the rules hold up to the test? So I made a computer program to guess different vowels, but it was not good. There are so many knobs to turn to create the different rules. And if there is variability, then I would also have to go through and determine all of the different ranges which would make the rules much more complex.

I started to do it by hand and tweak values, see how it worked, and then tweak the values again, etc, etc.

Thats when it hit me! I'm doing what a neural network trainer does. I could use one to do this for me!

So I researched the nitty gritty of getting one setup, recorded a lot of data (~45 minutes worth) and trained the model. It took a few days to figure out some problems, but I eventually got it working.

I used python and the tensoflow+keras library suite to create and train the neural network, Pyaudio for recording training data and realtime audio, numpy for data analysis. The neural network had 264 input nodes, 100 intermediate nodes, and 13 output nodes (one node for "no vowel", and 12 for the different vowels). The frequency calculation finishes within 1milisecond, and the neural network finishes within 2 milisecond as well on my hardware (intel i3-1115G4 at 4GHz). It spends more of its time on listening for audio than it does computing the answer. I found best results by running the loop 20 times per second (50ms) but I have also gotten it to run at 50 times per second (20ms), but it struggles on one or two vowels.

I think for me, it would have to be Andrew Gosden. A 14 year old school boy from England, who was considered to be extremely intelligent and a high achiever, decides to skip school on September 14th 2007 which is odd as he had a 100% attendance record prior to this. He had difficulty waking up that morning and was described as being moody which was reportedly very out of character for him. He left the house but instead of going to school, sat in a local park. He then returned home after everyone had left, changed into normal clothes, grabbed his PSP and left home again. He also withdrew £200 of the £214 he had in his bank account. However, he didn't bring a coat or a jacket and didn't bring his passport. £100 cash was also left untouched. Strangely, he didn't take his PSP charger with him, indicating he probably intended to return. At 9:35am he was seen boarding the train from Doncaster to King's Cross station in London. Interestingly, he only purchased a single ticket rather than a return which the conductor recalled later was unusual as a return was only 50p more but he had insisted on a single. At 11:20am, Gosden was seen walking out of King's Cross station and then he simply vanished, never to be seen or heard from again. This is one of the UK's most famous missing persons cases and there's just so many unanswered questions about it all that I hope someday are answered.

Okay, so I'll be discussing both ends of why I think a 2nd album is likely, and not likely. First I'll start with why it's unlikely there will be a 2nd album
First, TØP has never done a 2nd album like this, or any deluxe or special edition of the sorts. And also regarding everything Tyler has said in interviews, he hasn't really given any hints towards the idea that this is just part one. Another thing is that every song in Clancy also has a music video, I don't think Tyler would do this if it was a double album, that's around 28 music videos. One thing Tyler has said in an interview is that the ending of the album/era would be up for interpretation, and there would be no direct answer, which after listening to Paladin Strait, I think is very true, the ending can be taken in many ways (granted we have not seen the music video yet so plot-wise at this moment this is less stable). Now let's move to the things pointing towards a 2nd album.
Now there are things pointing towards a second album, firstly I believe are the songs themselves. Trench, the most loreheavy album with the previous most loreheavy name, there were many songs that were packed with story and lore. Neon Gravestones, Bandito, Nico And The Niners, and Leave The City are 100% lore. With Morph, Levitate, (maybe jumpsuit) being lore themed, but not songs 100% story directed in my opinion. Now, if we look at Clancy, which I believe is a even more important lore album name/idea, there are just not many "story" songs. You have Overcompensate and Paladin Strait are 100% lore, and nothing else. (Maybe Vignette could have lore towards something we don't know yet, but still). For an album with the name of Clancy, I really don't think it's the full album from the world of trench. And to add to it, if you've listened to Paladin Strait, it really doesn't feel like the finale, it feels like the buildup to the finale. It's about a character looking towards the future, not sure if he'll make it. Which also makes sense when Tyler said that the ending, also wouldn't be directly in the album, it would be after. I personally thought he could mean during something that happens on tour, but now I think that there could be something more releasing. Also something I've noticed is that there's just not a lot of merch, or like "themes" of the album. Trench had Dema, vultures, the yellow banditos, and everything else that you and me know about trench. But looking at clancy, there isn't much, you have clancy himself, fire, the notebook, but there isn't much else. I know we already know the story of trench but I feel Clancy has not given us everything it has to offer yet. And looking at merch, it's all just of Tyler and Josh, there's like no theming. None of the trench vultures, flowers, banditos, and everything.
But yeah, if anyone has anything they'd like to add to what I said or anything I got wrong, feel free to say, I'm really interested into discussing this topic. Also I just want to say I know the possibility of a 2nd album is very slim, I really don't see it happening, but the fan in me of course would always want more tøp music, so it's fun to think about.

PRIOR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE: I’m seeing kids these days doing 2-3 UNPAID internships (across all schools) to land their dream job. Some ppl are unwilling to do this. 4. Networking like mad: Dozens of events, sent hundreds of cold emails, and had coffee chats with 70+ industry representatives in order to land a great job. I know kids who have send thousands of emails, FLEW to NYC for coffee chats. Again, all school’s successful students do this. Stop complaining that ppl have “existing connections” “parents help” “internships from high school.” Wtf are you talking about. Victim mindset. It’s not true. People work f*cking hard.
• IB/Finance: Last few classes had 6-15 students get an IB internship each year. This means the top 1-2% of the class break in. 90% of students who break in are an executive on YFC/YUSIF. Those who break in outside these clubs (and even inside) are usually diversity hires (banks have special diversity internships). Meaning if you are a really smart and hard-working woman, indigenous, or black person, you will likely be fine (emphasis on hard-working). Anything other than IB/PE/HF have low barriers to entry. I-Banks have limited seats for each school: 1-2 spots per bank on a good hiring year for Schulich. The best schools for IB (in terms of most spots) are 1. Queen’s 2. Ivey 3. McGill. Schulich is in the Rotman/Waterloo/Schulich/Laurier pile.
• Consulting: To preface, I never recruited for consulting. Unfortunately, Schulich has weak precedent for landing Mckinsey, Bain, BCG (MBB). I don’t know why. I think we might send 1 student per year here. What’s popular are other prestigious firms, and especially big 4 consulting. The target club for consulting is SCC- if you are set on consulting, make sure you get on SCC or it will be more difficult. If consulting is your thing, you’re better off at Queens, Ivey, Rotman.
• Accounting: This is one I am passionate about. DO NOT COME TO SCHULICH BECAUSE IT IS AN “ACCOUNTING SCHOOL.” It is insanely easy to get into big 4. You can get into big 4 from any school. Literally. Schulich has many spots for accounting internships. I got an offer at a big 4 accounting firm for an internship very easily, i turned it down.

Why Go to Schulich? vs Other Schools?

• Focusing near Ontario only, if you want a good career these are your choices: (Schulich, Queens, Ivey, Rotman, UofT non-rotman, McGill, Laurier, Waterloo, McMaster(maybe). Please do not consider other schools if you got in here (assuming career is your priority).

1. Way cheaper than other schools ($40K Tuition, can go to 24-30K if you maintain entrance scholarship + has many other scholarships + OSAP grant)
2. If you want/need to stay in Toronto. An underrated aspect of this is that you can do your networking in-person rather than over the phone/Zoom.
3. Easier curriculum, unlike UofT/Rotman
4. All doors are open, if you try hard enough. The school is very well regarded.
5. Schedule is pretty light. It’s possible to do a 2-day lecture schedule.
6. There is less competition at Schulich since it is a smaller program. (Relevant because you are often competition for "Schulich spots".)

Schulich Myths/Criticisms:

1. Lack of “Uni Experience”: this is true. you will have a much better experience at a non-commuter school. However, if you join clubs, go to class, you will have a great time. Since it’s a smaller school, i find a real sense of camaraderie that persists in the alumni base, and subcultures in the clubs are strong.
2. YorkU: this is also true, York is bad and unlike other business schools that are backed by solid schools (UofT, Western, etc.) there aren’t many opportunities outside the Schulich building.
3. Schulich is hard: Myth. Schulich is easy.
4. Schulich has a global reputation: I do not think this is true. If your goal is to go to the states, you are better off at Ivey/Western/McGill. Even Waterloo (esp STEM programs) and UofT are better recognized. Schulich is too small.
5. No Co-Op. This is a tough one. This is the only reason I consider Laurier and Waterloo as good choices. They offer co-ops during the school year which are much less competitive and they really control the spots for these. Schulich’s career office doesn’t help with internships. But, these programs also take a year longer. If you fail to land your dream interview at Schulich, you always have the opportunity to delay graduation and do off-cycle internships. You will have to find them yourself though - that is difficult but 100% achievable. Some students have even done 1/2 co-ops during the school year without delaying graduation.

The bottom line:

• Schulich is an amazing school. With all this being said. You can get to anywhere you want with a Schulich degree. But nothing is given, and nor is it at any other school. You must put yourself in a position to know the correct steps to take, and be willing to work insanely hard to succeed wherever. You can do this through speaking to upper-years who have succeeded, and joining respective career clubs.

Hello reddit I have recently started my cut because I was unhappy with the way I looked I started at 82ish kg and right now I am at 78kg but I feel like there has been no difference at all, can you guys notice a difference? I need a geniune and 100% honest answer. It has been around 27 days since I started my cut and I am just wondering how long will it take for me to see and have visible abs and also lose my face fat. I am currently at a 300 calorie deficit ( bmr is like 1800) my height is 180cm and I am a 19 year old and also I am wondering what's the best way to lose face fat.

Hi guys, do you know how the score in % in the full exam is translated into the band NI/BT/T/AT? For example, score 0-25% means NI, score 26-50% means BT, score 51-75% means T, score 76-100% means AT (I just made up the range to illustrate!)
For example, if I score 65% in the PMO Study Hall PMP full test, does it mean I pass or fail? And is it overall NI/BT/T/AT?
Unfortunately I could not find an answer to this on PMI website. Would appreciate your inputs a lot.
