People who regularly eat fish or take fish oil supplements are getting omega-3 fatty acids, which play a critical role in brain function. Research has long shown a basis in the brain for aggressive and violent behavior, and that poor nutrition is a risk factor for behavior problems. Penn neurocriminologist Adrian Raine has for years been studying whether omega-3 supplementation could therefore reduce aggressive behavior, publishing five randomized controlled trials from different countries. He found significant effects but wanted to know whether these findings extended beyond his laboratory.

With summer around the corner, telehealth outlets and medical spas are going into hyperdrive advertising the sale of semaglutide, the active ingredient in popular weight-loss drugs Ozempic and Wegovy. Recent shortages of the brand-name drugs have opened the door to copycat versions that, while legal, also raise some concerns for consumers, says Kelly Ann Barnes, Northeastern professor of pharmacy law. The copycat drugs are made by specialized pharmacies known as compounding pharmacies, which are allowed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to make off-label

2024.05.29 00:46 Graymatter_13 Lightweight but wide 2 person tents
I’ve been looking for a lightweight (not necessarily ultralight) two person tent. I’ve been leaning toward a freestanding like the Copper Spur or a Nemo. I realized that both the Copper Spur and Nemo’s (Dragonfly or Hornet) taper at the foot. I use a long/wide sleeping pad (25” wide), so the pad of a second person would overlap, unless both of the pads are regular 20”. I’m 6’ and 215lbs, a side sleeper and roll around a lot, so the wide pad is helpful. I was about to order the Copper Spur during the REI sale, but pulled back because of the tapering. I would like to stay in the low $300 range and in the low 2lbs for weight. I love my REI half dome 2P, but it’s over 5lbs. The only thing I found that seems to meet these criteria is the Durston X-Mid 2P. It is 52x92, 2lb 4oz and $280 plus $43 for the footprint (the 2P pro is a bit overkill for me and north of $650). I usually backpack with poles anyway, so am now leaning this direction. Anything else out there folks suggest that is both wide, lightweight and relatively affordable?

2024.05.29 00:34 Boring_Waltz_9545 Weekly New Musical Grosses- Week Ending 5/26/2024
Source-
Broadway Grosses, Broadway Box Office - 5/26/2024 (broadwayworld.com) T-MINUS 19 DAYS TO TONYS.
Welcome back to our regularly scheduled programming with the Tuesday afternoon Broadway Gross Reports (though they were late again this week come on Broadway League). This past week I believe was the heaviest comped week for Tony voters, and that is reflected by some notable shows decreasing grosses this past week, though the holiday weekend meant that overall it was a good week. As always, I have put the weekly operating cost (where known, and a rough estimation if not), and an estimated profit or loss for the week. I do not have all of the information for every (most) shows, but if you have access to information about shows and would like to share it with me, please do!
My methodology for estimating profit (or loss) is as follows:
- Subtract 16% from grosses. This is credit card fees, as well as the cut that the theater owners take off the top of the grosses, in addition to charging a flat rent. The weekly operating cost is usually the fixed cost for the production, which does not account for this cut%. If you get a chance to look at a show's offering papers, this number is the Net Operating Profit.
- Compare that new number to the weekly operating cost, if it's lower, subtract weekly minimum guarantees, and record the difference as the loss for that week. If the reserve is known for a show, I will record that as well.
- If it made money, subtract either 20% or 30% for royalties (after subtracting WMGs),
If an awarding body is not listed, that show was not nominated by that group
Grosses (chronological order from opening)- Back to the Future: The Musical - $1.0 million gross, 95% capacity, $90 atp (Up ~$96k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $862k; Weekly Operating Cost: $815k/week; Estimated profit (loss): $16k Award Nominations Roundup: Outer Critics Circle (5), Tonys (2) A decent rebound week for Back to the Future, with an impressive 14% increase in capacity up to 95%. Goes to show this show still does well when the tourists are in town, even if they've had lukewarm grosses of late (though that average ticket price is concerning).
Merrily We Roll Along - $1.6 million gross, 100% capacity, $208 atp (Up ~29k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $1.345 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $800k/week; Estimated profit (loss): $317k 2024 Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (5\), Tonys (7*)*
Award Wins: 2023 Outer Critic Circle (2), Drama League (2\)*
Hot ticket does hot ticket things. This production has already recouped, anything else is just icing on the cake. It has profited a total of nearly $1 million by my estimates.
The Notebook-
$720k gross, 90% capacity, $98 atp (Down ~$64k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: 605k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $620k/week; Estimated profit (loss): ($39k) Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama Desk (2), Tonys (3)*
Little bit of a rough week for Notebook, they continue to tread mostly just be treading water. This was the second really troubling week for them. My TikTok feed is full of Joy Woods right now though so hopefully that can translate into more ticket sales.
Water for Elephants - $1.0 million gross, 87% capacity, $106 atp (Down ~$73k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $863k; Weekly Operating Cost: $805k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $34k; Remaining Reserve: $2.6 million Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Outer Critics Circle (5*), Drama Desk (7), Tonys (7*), PETA (1)*
Award Wins: PETA (1), Outer Critics Circle (1), Chita Rivera (2) Water for Elephants continues to chug along. Since opening they have posted essentially the same grosses every week, and have only taken a loss once, which is remarkable for how expensive of a show it is.
The Who's Tommy - $838k gross, 79% capacity, $112 atp (Down ~$130k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $704k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$700k-750k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($70k)-($20k) Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (6*), Drama Desk (1), Tonys (1*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1) I hope this was Tony comps for Tommy, because these aren't fantastic grosses, and for the first time in their run they might have taken a loss.
The Outsiders - $1.0 million gross, 102% capacity, $122 atp (Up ~$33k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $860k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$700k-$750k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $68k-$108k Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (3*), Drama Desk (9*), Tonys (12*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1), Chita Rivera (1) Excellent week for Outsiders. Expect these grosses to hold for a while.
Lempicka (closed) - $382k avg gross, 87% avg capacity, $55 avg atp Avg. Gross Less-Fees: $320k; Weekly Operating Cost: ~$660k/week; Estimated Total Profit (Loss): ($354k) Initial Capitalization: $19.2 million; Total Profit (Loss): ($19.2 million-$22.3 million) Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Tonys (3)*
Suffs - $758k gross, 95% capacity, $102 atp (Down ~$61k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $637k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$640k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($27k) Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (4\), Outer Critics Circle (5*), Drama Desk (8), Tonys (6*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (3\)*
Suffs slips a little bit, but based off of the average ticket price and capacity I am assuming that there were a lot of comps this week.
Hell's Kitchen - $1.5 million gross, 100% capacity, $132 atp (Up ~$53k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $1.305 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$800k-$850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $304k-$341k Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama Desk (5), Tonys (13*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama League (1\), Chita Rivera (1)*
And this is what being the leading Tony nominee as well as having a massive IP will do. Grosses held almost identical to last week, which compared to the previous Shubert Theatre tenant (which also had 13 Tony nominations), they never reached these heights financially, nor did they ever sell out the house in an 8 show week.
Heart of Rock and Roll - $309k gross, 64% capacity, $57 atp (Up ~$22k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $241k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $650k; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($433k) Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Drama Desk (1)*
It keeps sliding more and more, see the show, support the cast. Apparently, this is financed through June, and I'm always happy to see people keeping their jobs.
The Great Gatsby - $1.1 million gross, 93% capacity, $106 atp (Down $98k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $991k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $800k-850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $87k-$125k Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1), Outer Critics Circle (4\), Drama Desk (1), Tonys (1)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (2) This show is the current leader in the Broadway World fan awards in almost every category. They're going to be just fine with this cast, though I am curious to see if the response to ART Gatsby has any effect on this show.
The Wiz - $1.4 million gross, 96% capacity, $119 atp (Down ~$21k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $1.239 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $800k-$850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $255k-$290k Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (2\)*
The Wiz got no Tony nominations, but they don't need them. This show will be just fine on the Broadway stop of their tour. Their contract includes a potential extension through January, and I think they're likely to pick that up.
Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club - $1.7 million gross, 99% capacity, $229 atp (Down ~$243k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $1.446 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $974k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): 295k; Reserves Remaining: $2.2 million Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (5\), Outer Critics Circle (2*), Drama Desk (5*), Tonys (9*)*
Tony comps are probably most of the difference in grosses last week to this week here. Cabaret is fine.
Illinoise - $720k gross, 87% capacity, $88 atp (Down ~$96k from last week) Gross Less-Fees: $605k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $625k; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($29k) Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Outer Critics Circle (6*), Drama Desk (4*), Tonys (4*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1), Chita Rivera (1) I hope for Illinoises sake that they invited a lot of Tony voters this week, because this was another losing week for this show. I think recoupment is out of the picture at this point.
Discuss below!

2024.05.28 23:57 Current_Anybody8325 New Kit - Mapex Armory - Ocean Sunset - I'm in love again...
2024.05.28 22:47 drcigg What tools should I buy next?
Longtime lurker and first time poster in this group.
Growing up my dad was a master woodworker. He had all the tools you could ever think of in the shop to make anything. A table saw still scares me to use as an adult. After watching my dad cut the tip of his pinkie off his right hand many years ago I am still hesitant to use one. The cost of the new ones with safety features are way way out of my budget.
I have always had the urge to make things myself and tackle my own projects, but lack the tools and understanding. Recently I made a top cover for my bee hive which is nothing compared to what other things I have seen created here. There are very few power tools in my repertoire. A janky 1985 miter saw my wife found at a garage sale, an old jig saw, milwaukee combo kit that came with a drill and hackzaw. Plenty of hand tools like screwdrivers, pliers, sockets, wrenches, speed square, hammer, shop vac, etc
My biggest limiting factor to getting anything bigger is due to lack of space, money and power needed for more powerful tools. Currently my garage power shares several breakers with other parts of the house which means even plugging in a compressor is out of the question as it just pops the breaker each time. Upgrading the box is out of the question at this time as it would cost a pretty penny to do that. Our 100 amp box has every breaker used. We have a 3 car garage of which 2 of it is used by vehicles and the other third stall is full of other stuff. So space is fairly limited.
In my workspace I just have a basic 1980s hand me down workbench with a 5 foot top, 5 drawers and a small cabinet. Eventually I would love to get a bigger workbench so I can actually utilize it better along with more storage.
A goal of mine is to build a small desk in the nook we have so I can finally have an office space. Nothing fancy just a plain desk with a few drawers. And maybe a bookshelf or a few cabinets. My wife is against buying tools because she just sees dollar signs and says everything is so expensive. I look at bookshelves and desks made today and they are all cheaply made.
What should be my next tool purchase? A circular saw, orbital sander, more clamps?

2024.05.28 22:00 theragco Looking at my next house purchase and could use some thoughts from homeowners.
I'm coming up on completing my project of furnishing the Ald Velothi Harborhouse. I absolutely adore it for its location, aesthetic, and coziness. That being said while I turn my attention soon to the lunar champion and sword-singer's houses which I already own I'm noticing I've got quite a bit of gold built up and want to get another house for the future. I've previewed all the currently available houses in the game and put some thoughts on the ones I liked and I was hoping some people who bought and furnished these houses could give me their thoughts to help sway my mind one way or the other. I'm avoiding manors or inn rooms as they are either too small or too big and don't interest me outside of being used for fast travel.
I'm hoping to hear if yall like or dislike these houses and if you've had good or bad experiences with furnishing them. All of the houses will be purchased with gold and I only made a list of houses currently for sale.
Amaya Lake Lodge - 1,300,000 (Large courtyard, storage/workshop area, multiple floors, somewhat near balmora wayshrine. Layout of interior leaves some to be desired though. Gorgeous and unique hlaalu style. No basement but it has a well that apparently is valuable to sell. My current goal was to buy this house but not sure if I wanna buy another morrowind house so soon after ald velothi.)
Exorcised Coven Cottage - 250,000 (adorably tiny little witch hut for witchy things like cauldrons. HUGE courtyard space for garden and other witchy furnishings. Across the water from hag fen wayshrine) Turns out its holiday only, gotta wait on this one.
Gardner House - 1,015,000 (cute small courtyard with built in stable. Space inside is pretty big and has a huge basement space. In a city but not near the wayshrine. Not sure if its worth the price though especially with such a normal design.)
Old Mistveil Manor - 1,025,000 (Decently sized, pretty courtyard with riften autumn colors, basically grymharth's woe but with a courtyard and a barn/stable. No basement still though. Right next to town)
Strident Springs Demesne - 1,280,000 (Lovely courtyard with a little dock, watchtower, and space for a stables/barn. Interior is cozy though no basement again. Could make for a cozy inn. Just outside of a town but opposite the wayshrine)
The Gorinir Estate - 780,000 (weirdly affordable for such a unique house. Its basically a very big courtyard with the neat woodelven plant huts strewn about a root walkway. The two enterable buildings are kind of small but cozy and cute enough that I don't mind. I would make this 11/10 if it had a little cave hidden in one of the walls.)
Velothi Reverie - 323,000 (a small house with lots of rooms, a courtyard, and a basement. Suffers from the same dingy dark coloring that quondam and ebonheart do but its a pretty cute dark elf house with a little bit of everything)
Water's Edge - 1,050,000 (Adore this house and its unique layout. No courtyard or basement but it comes pre-furnished with sufficient lights and fireplaces as well cute little plants out on the walkway. Opposite side of town from the wayshrine but honestly really enjoy this house. Outside of its shape though its a little plain design-wise.)
HONORABLE MENTIONS
Autumn's Gate - cute courtyard and cute size but too small all together, would rather go for old mistveil if I'm gonna get a nord house. Comes with its own fireplace though
Bouldertree Refuge - I really enjoy the aesthetic of this house, its basically Gorinir Estate Lite. Not sure if i'd pay for the smaller version though.
Cliffshade - Not a lot of houses with this style, unfortunately its just the house with a generic layout and no courtyard or any other amenities.
Cyrodilic Jungle House - Courtyard is bigger than the house, house is only 1 room big. If the house was a little bigger I wouldn't have minded paying a little extra.
Dawnshadow - Lots of courtyard, medium sized house but kinda small for the price, Has two cute balconies on the second floor but too small to fit anything on them besides torches. Not really a fan of interiors like that with the upstairs being a weird open hallway room. Bit out of the way of the wayshrine.
Domus Phrasticus - Cute courtyard area with a little shed space around back but that's a permanent fixture. House is kinda small but cute, two floors. Enough space for a bedroom above and kitchen/living space below. Out of the way
Hunding Palatial Hall - Huge courtyard area, beach, stables, little inner courtyard, interior is pretty good, no basement, many balconies with space to put chairs and stuff. Honestly feels underpriced but not sure if its my style or what to do with it.
Ravenhurst - Adorable little home with a courtyard. Has a weird tiny "shed" between the walls outside. Upstairs is surprisingly small, floors may need to be added in manually. Very afforable for the size and appearance, no basement
Sleek Creek House - Neat house on stilts. Even though it has no basement you can technically build your own beneath. Courtyard is big but kind of barren by default, lots of plants will be needed. House itself is a little disappointing interior-wise. Next to town with wayshrine and directly next to outlaw refuge.
Snugpod - Love this little thing its so cute. Its very affordable, can be bought in a regular day without extra grinding. Kinda want to use it to make a horrific daedric shrine inside its unassuming interior)
Stay Moist Manor - A bit overpriced for its actual size but has a lot of furnishing slots. Has a big courtyard, "stables, and a "tower" room assumedly for a bedroom or storage. No basement but that's to be expected. Very cute but far from everything.
The Ample Domicile - Strangely pricey for such a small house. Its cute though and has a courtyard. Very good for raising guar, i'm told.
Twin Arches - a cheap little house to quickly furnish. Can't think of much good about it, even in the redguard style it feels a little plain and small. It does have a tiny courtyard and is located near a shrine though. I'd pick it up as a weekend project at most.

2024.05.28 20:37 Patient-Device-1256 Dealership Concern (Texas)
Hey! I just have a quick question for anyone living in the state of Texas that sales cars. Are you able to educate me on purchasing a vehicle in Texas & registering it in another state. I recently bought a Used Hyundai 2022 N line in March. I love it! The only thing is I havent received my title yet. I bought it in Texas but registering it in Michigan (college student). I am making payments & I have to submit my title for proof of ownership to my bank (Navy Fed). I went to the dealership & the finance woman says they don’t keep the title on hand and the title is going to be mailed to me in 6-8weeks but I haven’t received it yet. Is this normal?

2024.05.28 19:34 Time_Presentation151 [MI] HR made fun of my complaint and asked me to keep it private next time, can they do that?
[[MICHIGAN]] I was made fun of for making a complaint to HR.
I am a translator in an outdoor job. I walk around with a crew of workers where I tell them what to do and answer their questions. On Thursday they added another person to our group for the day. I have never up to that point spoken to him or worked with him. He started asking me what was my job title and I told him translator; queue questions about my country/culture. Answered everything best I could (we also had a language barrier) and went on to direct my crew to their jobs. Everyone was doing their own thing including myself to which the new worker approached me and started asking me if I was married. I told him I was not but I did have a bf and family. He said oh ok and then went back to working as did I. He came around again and approached me to say he liked me very much and he liked how I treated others. (I always greet everyone at work and try and help with anything) I told him thank you that I appreciated that he noticed I treated others kindly. He then asked me how much. At first I didn’t understand and asked him how much? And he went on to say how much for you? How much for a woman like you? I was offended but I thought about cultural difference and i explained that i understand in his culture marriage without knowing each other is normal, but in America people are not for sale and that in this culture we date and get to know each other before marriage but that I was not interested or available. I have a bf and family. He said oh ok. And I figured he went back to do work. He came back and I felt kind of uncomfortable but I kept my professional demeanor and kept working then he asked me when did I have free time. I didn’t understand and asked “free time? You mean lunch” and he said “no at night me and you go out” I told him no I’m not interested and walked away. I thought that was that. Nooo it wasn’t. I went to go check on my crew and they were weed whacking so I stepped away so I wouldn’t get hit by flying rocks and went to go sit down with another worker the same new worker approached me again and at that point I was bending forward to grab some debris off the ground when my phone fell out. I picked it up and put it in my pocket but then he came and opened up my pocket to adjust it and reached into my right breast pocket trying to pull out my badge. I got scared and started telling him to not touch me when another worker came and smacked his hand telling him not to touch me in Spanish. I honestly was so embarrassed and nervous because I’m new I didn’t want to report and lose my job so I went home and talked about it to my family. They stated that I had to report because that was not appropriate. I really didn’t want to make a big deal but I also didn’t want unwanted contact not to mention I was offended that he solicited me. The next day I reported to the foreman and he was very much upset and informed me that he had to report, but he was going to make sure that he was not put on my crew anymore. Not even 15 minutes later the new worker approached me again and tried pulling off my badge from my left breast pocket. I panicked and put my hands up while trying to back up saying please don’t touch me and at that point the other crews noticed and came quick to send him to the supervisor. I’m so thankful the other crews noticed and stood up for me because I didn’t know what to do. When we got back to the office they let me know that hr wanted to speak with me along with the interpreter (the new worker is from a non Spanish speaking country) so I went in to the meeting with only the hr member and the translator. Coming into the meeting both men already had doubt on what was said because apparently he “did not speak English” to which I responded that he spoke enough English to ask me how much I was worth and that he wanted to go out at night with me also he put his hands in my pockets and on my body not only once. The translator thought it was so funny and told me about how it was normal in their country to buy women. He paid 7000 for his wife and that he couldn’t believe he actually spoke English. I felt so embarrassed and didn’t even know what else to say because they’re supposed to be hr and there they were laughing at the situation. The hr rep went on to say next time this happened don’t speak to a foreman or anyone to go directly to him and they can address the issue privately. I was about to ask what did he mean privately when my manager and her manager walked in and they were upset that they had a meeting with me alone without management present. I tried explaining what happened but the hr rep kept saying it was a misunderstanding and that it was a culture clash but it wasn’t. I know that man knew what he asked and it was disrespectful. The managers were upset and they did say how regardless of what he said he should not have put his hands on me at all and that they were going to write him up. Moving forward idk if I should just quit the job or does HR have their own HR? Aside from this incident everyone else is super nice and respectful I love being able to help my crew and the other crews are kind and supportive. I’m just upset at how I reported the guy and instead of at least staying quiet hr thought it was so funny that they made jokes about it and told me next time to only tell them and they would handle it as if I did something wrong by telling management.
TL;DR is there somewhere I can report HR for making fun of my sexual harassment complaint and asking me to keep it private next time it happens or should I just quit because I don’t want to work somewhere that is going to make fun of me instead of taking my complaint serious?

2024.05.28 17:28 Tymaret16 Ekoi bibs and jerseys quality?
Finally looking to buy my first set of not-cheap-as-shit kit. My Black Bibs and Black Bibs off-brand jersey are finally wearing out.
Ekoi has a jersey on sale that I quite like, and adding in a pair of bibs on sale would bring me up to free shipping levels. The Cross bib shorts ($80) and Gel Memory bib shorts ($120) both look decent enough - I like that they have a subtle lattice texture to them, i.e. not just smooth Lycra.
Anyway, it looks like a quality brand but I just have no experience here, and a search of the sub didn't turn up much. Anyone have experience with Ekoi kit and can vouch for its quality? If it matters, I'm about 6'1" and 210 lbs. Based on their size chart, I think I would size slightly down by ordering an XL for a nice, snug fit.
TIA!

2024.05.28 17:10 Puzzled-Kangaroo-20 Question about DCST970X1 (FLEXVOLT® 60V MAX* Cordless String Trimmer Kit)
Hello everyone,
A long time Dewalt fan.
I have a question about this device. I purchased it awhile back thinking there were other attachments available for it. I do see that there is there is a "pole bracket" in the middle of the device. Are there attachments available for this device?
I also saw the DCST972X1 (60V MAX* 17 in. Brushless Attachment Capable String Trimmer Kit) which apparently has all types of attachments. Will the attachments for DCST972X1 work for my DCST970X1?
Would love to have DEWALT Edger Attachment (DWOAS4ED) and DEWALT Brush Cutter Attachment (DWOAS5BC) in my arsenal.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
