Part 1: The Cabin
Josh stood over his father's coffin, looking down at his inanimate parent. It's strange seeing him so still and quiet, he would think to himself. Josh's father seemed like such a joyful and loving man, which is why it hit the family so hard when he suddenly killed himself.
"I'm sorry for your loss." A strange man said to Josh. This man was a tall well-built man, with dark bronzed skin and short dark hair. "T-thanks..." Josh responded. Josh didn't know this man, but he shook his hand once he offered it to him. As he did, he noticed a strange hieroglyphic like tattoo on his wrist peek its way from out of the man's suit. "How did you know my father? " Josh inquired. "My name is Russell. I used to work with your dad." He answered smiling through his short well-groomed beard. "Dad never mentioned you, Russell." Josh released his grip from Russell's handshake. "It was a long time ago. Before you were born actually." Russell said. Now that Josh thought about it, he actually didn't know what his dad did for a living, he only knew that he worked in an office. "Is your mother alright? I haven't seen Beth in ages." Russell asked. Who the fuck is this guy? Josh thought to himself. "My mom... she died actually, giving birth to me." Josh said as his eyes looked away for a second. "Damn kid... I'm so sorry. I didn't know." Russel said. "What are you going to do now?" He continued. Josh looked across the room, he noticed something a bit unnerving: there were a lot of people there he didn't recognize. "I'm not sure." Josh turned and responded to Russell. "Well, just take care of yourself, Josh. If you need anything, just give me a call." Russell said as he handed over his business card. Josh took it from his hand and read it: Russell Wallace, realtor.
The house felt so empty without his father there. It had been three years since Josh moved away to go to college, but he decided to take some time off since he heard the news. "It's weird being home again, huh Callie?" Joshed asked as he pet his dog. She was a German shepherd breed with a beautiful black coat with small spots of brown near her eyes. Josh was at his dad's house to take care of some affairs before he returned to school. From across the house, Josh could hear the phone ring. He still couldn't believe his dad kept a LAN line in this day and age. He walked across the house to the living room to pick to the cordless phone. "Hello? " he asked. "Oh, hi Aunt Sue. Yeah, I'm at the house now.... No, I have my cell on me... Weird, I have no missed calls...." Suddenly, Josh heard a crash behind him. He looked and saw what looked like a box that had fallen off of the bookshelf. Perhaps Callie accidentally knocked it over, he thought. "Hold on Aunt Sue." He said as he put the cordless down as he began picking up the contents and putting them back in the box. Of all the items that fell out, one stood out to him: a picture of a cabin. In front of the cabin stood three people, they were young, but he recognized all three of them: his mother, his father, and Russell Wallace, the man he had met at his father's funeral. Josh picked up the picture and walked back to the phone. "Hey Aunt Sue, did my dad own a cabin? " He asked. "Ummmm, I think so, but he hadn't been there for years." Sue said over the phone. "Where is it at? " Josh inquired. "It's located in some woods outside of this old abandoned town called Sleepy Falls in Maryland." She answered. Josh pulled out his phone and tried looking up the town. "I can't find anything on it except some ghost story sites." He said after his search yielded little to no results. "You're not going to find much on it; it's one of those weird old towns that just kind of disappeared off the map and was forgotten about. Only so many people know about it. Most people who go there now are ghost hunters looking for cryptids or something." She explained. Josh looked at the photo again and asked, "How did mom and dad know about it?" There was a long pause on the other end of the line. "Aunt Sue?" Josh asked. "Josh... your mom and me, we're from there." She finally answered. " At the time, there were less than fifty people still in that town. When your dad and his friend came there for real estate development, that's when he met your mom... He never told you any of this?" Josh stood there dumbfounded; he never knew any of this. "Josh, if you want to check it out, I can watch your dad's house for a few days while you decide what to do with the cabin." Aunt Sue said. Josh agreed and Aunt Sue sent Josh the location for the Cabin so he could map his route.
Aunt Sue arrived at the house early in the morning, she looked just like his mother did in pictures. "How are you doing young man? " She giggled as she removed her sunglasses and ran her fingers through her long curly red hair. "Young man?" Joshed scoffed. Aunt Sue was only 15 years older than Josh; she was kid herself when his parents had met. She gave him a hug and helped him load his bag into the car. Callie jumped into the front seat of the car as Josh closed the trunk. "Your taking your dog with you? " She asked. Josh looked at Callie who tilted her head as she looked back at him. "Callie goes everywhere with me." He responded. "Oh, I see." She responded. "Well be safe, and hope you get there safely." She said as she gave Josh another hug and began to walk towards the house. The drive was nearly seven hours, on his way he had called Russell and asked him to meet him at the cabin, though Russell said he wouldn't be able to make it there until tomorrow night. As Josh got closer to his destination, he noticed his GPS lose signal a few times before it finally did him back on track. The GPS took him to an old forest road, completely bypassing the town. Callie seemed frantic about the area they were in, she wined and jumped off the seat and ducked down into the floorboard. "What's wrong, Callie?" Joshed asked as he reached down to pet her, but she just ducked down lower. Josh just shrugged and drove forward towards his destination. As he approached the cabin, he saw that it was a bit dilapidated. "We're definitely gonna have to do a lot of work here." He said looking down at Callie who still hadn't come back to from the floorboard. The cabin was fairly well built, but there was overgrown brush everywhere. As Josh opened the cabin door, he could feel the weight of the door and the old hinges. The place was dusty and dirty, but surprisingly well furnished. There was a fireplace against the wall that hadn't seen fire in a long time. Above it was a double-barreled shotgun that looked like an antique but well kept. I doubt that thing even works, Josh thought to himself. Suddenly he heard Callie's paws scratch against his car as she jumped out the window and ran past Josh into the cabin. "What's gotten into you, Callie?" he asked. Josh didn't like this, Callie was normally not this skittish, she was a rescue from an abused home and when Josh first got her, she would act a lot like this, but she eventually got much better as she learned to trust Josh. "Maybe we should just go home, girl." Josh said as he knelt down to pet her. Josh himself had an eerie feeling about the place. Maybe it was the atmosphere or maybe it was just the stories about the town, but something didn't feel right. Josh was about to grab Callie and head back home until his phone rang. "Hello?" Josh answered. "Josh? It's Russell Wallace; some stuff got moved around, and I think I can get there tonight. Do you mind waiting for me?" Josh paused for a moment. "Yeah, I can wait for you. What time do you think you'll get here?" He asked. "Should be just before sundown. I know the place; I haven't been there in years, but we'll do a walk-through, and we'll list it next week." Russell explained. "Thanks. See you soon." Josh said as he turned off his phone. Josh grabbed the cleaning supplies from his trunk and started getting to work. He started inside, rearranging furniture and sweeping the floors. He eventually made his way into the one bedroom. The bed frame and mattress old and dusty, but still surprisingly in good shape. He dragged the mattress outside to dust it off. "Not bad, not bad." Josh said as he looked at the cabin looking in a lot better shape. "But we're not quite done yet." He said as stepped outside and saw the overgrowth of plants and bushes attempting to reclaim the cabin within nature. The sun still shining through the trees, but Josh knew he still had some time before Russell would show up. Josh continued to clean up around the cabin, but before he knew it, the sun was getting lower behind the forest. Where the hell is Russell? Josh thought to himself. "C'mon Callie, we're getting out of here." Josh said rounding up all his stuff. They packed up their things, got into the car and turned the key over... nothing. The car wouldn't start. "Dammit!" Josh said as he slammed his palms into the steering wheel. He looked down at Callie, who just whimpered. "Sorry, Callie, it looks like we're stuck here until Russell gets here."
Josh rolled out his sleeping bag onto the bed and Callie laid by his feet. Josh looked at his phone, no missed calls or messages from Russell. Josh tried calling him, but no answer, no voice-mail box set up. Josh just sighed as he pulled a power bank from his backpack and plugged his phone in to charge it. Josh woke up around two in the morning to the sound of Callie barking at the front door of the cabin. Josh looked out the small window on the door to see if it was Russell arriving this late, but nothing was out there. He opened the door to see if perhaps she needed to go outside to relieve herself, but when he opened the door, she just looked at the tree line and growled. Josh looked off to the trees where Callie was looking, but saw nothing there. Suddenly, Josh heard what sounded like a knock on one of the trees. "Russell?! Is that you out there?" Josh demanded. Nothing sounded back as Josh stood there in the doorway. Another knock sounded, followed by another and another. More of them sounded throughout the forest as they approached closer to the cabin. Josh wanted to see what was making these noises, but everything in his being was telling him to get inside. He slammed the door and pushed a dresser against the door. Callie ran back into the room and hid under the bed as Josh backed into the room himself. As he did, he saw the shotgun on the wall above the fireplace. He was about to run and grab it until all the knocks were now on the cabin walls and door, he backed into the room and hid in his sleeping bag hoping they would just go away.
By the time the knocking had stopped it was morning and Josh got out of his sleeping bag, he was exhausted since he hardly slept the night before. Callie was out from under the bed scratching at the door of the bed room. "Don't worry Callie, we're getting the fuck out of here." Josh said as he packed up his bag. He moved the dresser away from the door and stepped outside. "What the fuck? " Josh asked as he stepped outside. His car was gone, tire tracks leading off into the forest. He picked up his phone to dial Russell. The phone rang once, but was picked up this time without an answer. "Russell? If this is some sort of fucking joke, it's not funn-" Josh dropped his phone as he turned back around to look at the cabin. Strewn across the cabin walls were parchment paper, each paper had been nailed into the cabin walls. Each piece of paper had a single message written on it in red ink: "She Sees All! Come and See!" At the bottom of the paper was a strange symbol, identical to the one that was tattooed to Russell's wrist. Upon closer inspection, Josh realized that this wasn't paper at all, it was some sort of animal skin. "What kind of animal is this?" Josh questioned as he touched the skin. He took a step back startled once he realized that this was not just any animal, it was human skin. Josh was so shocked by this revelation that he had forgotten he was on the phone with Russell. When Josh picked up the phone, there was still no answer on the other end—just silence. Suddenly, a knocking sound came from the other end of the phone. Josh's blood ran cold as he quickly hung up. Suddenly a strange whistle sound could be heard from within the forest. Callie immediately rushed out the door barking wildly as she ran towards the sound. "Callie, no!" Josh screamed as he began to chase after her. She bolted through the forest as Josh was trying to catch up; unfortunately, he lost track of her. "Callie! Please, no!" Josh wailed with deep sadness as he collapsed to his knees. He was truly alone now. As he looked around him, he saw that on many trees were the same paper message nailed into them. Josh lumbered his way back to the cabin, closed the door behind himself, and fell to his knees. He took out his phone and called Aunt Sue. It rang, and rang, and rang, but eventually went to voice-mail. "Aunt Sue? If you get this message...please come pick me up. I'm sorry I can't here. I lost Callie. I'm scared." He hung up, dropped his phone on the ground. He laid down on the floor and closed his eyes.
When Josh woke next, it was night time. He tried to grab for his phone, but he couldn't find it. He made his way to the bedroom and pulled a flashlight from his bag along with some matches. He walked around the cabin lighting lanterns and candles throughout. One of the things he noticed was a pair of boot prints in the dirt next to where he was laying earlier. This sent a chill down his spine, " Was someone watching me sleep?" Josh asked himself. Before Josh could answer his own question, a terrifying scream could be heard coming from within the woods. It sounded both human yet not human at the same time, and all Josh could think of was he hoped that Callie made it out of the forest. He grabbed the shotgun off of the wall above the fire place and checked the breech. Two shells, that looked surprisingly new, were loaded into the shotgun. Two shells... only two shells, Josh kept thinking to himself as he waited for in front of the closed door for whatever was in the woods. It seemed like forever, but only about twenty minutes had passed since he heard that inhuman scream. He could hear something rustling though the forest heading towards the cabin. He heard it rushing towards the door, breathing heavily. It pounded against the heavy door, Josh raised the shotgun to eye level and readied his shoulder for the recoil. The second slam against the door broke through and the creature entered the cabin. It was a naked man with a horse's head on his shoulders, Josh didn't have time to process what he was looking at, he knew this thing was here for him. He fired the first shell into the monster's gut and pushed him back into the dresser knocking over a lantern lighting the dresser and the floor it landed into ablaze. The creature got back up to face Josh as the flames began to engulf more of the cabin. Josh knew where his last shell had to go, he took aim, pulled the trigger and shot the beast in the head. It dropped to the ground and was soon consumed by the roaring fire. The doorway out was blocked by growing flames, Josh just sat down and resigned himself to his fate. As he sat there waiting for the flames to take him, he noticed blood from the creature pool strong a strange squared area in the floor. It was a hidden trap door, maybe a way out. Josh quickly jumped up and found the hidden latch on the door and opened it. He dropped down as the door closed behind him. The fires above slightly illuminated the room underneath the cabin but he pulled out his flashlight in order to get a better look of his surroundings. There was nothing down there except for a desk and a chair, on the desk was a book. Josh looked around more and saw a big heavy looking steel door. He grabbed the book and with what strength he had left pulled the steel door open. Passed the door was a long tunnel, where it led, Josh had no idea. He closed the steel door behind him and headed deep into the unknown.

This sent a chill down his spine, " Was someone watching me sleep?" Josh asked himself. Before Josh could answer his own question, a terrifying scream could be heard coming from within the woods. It sounded both human yet not human at the same time, and all Josh could think of was he hoped that Callie made it out of the forest. He grabbed the shotgun off of the wall above the fire place and checked the breech. Two shells, that looked surprisingly new, were loaded into the shotgun. Two shells... only two shells, Josh kept thinking to himself as he waited for in front of the closed door for whatever was in the woods. It seemed like forever, but only about twenty minutes had passed since he heard that inhuman scream. He could hear something rustling though the forest heading towards the cabin. He heard it rushing towards the door, breathing heavily. It pounded against the heavy door, Josh raised the shotgun to eye level and readied his shoulder for the recoil. The second slam against the door broke through and the creature entered the cabin. It was a naked man with a horse's head on his shoulders, Josh didn't have time to process what he was looking at, he knew this thing was here for him. He fired the first shell into the monster's gut and pushed him back into the dresser knocking over a lantern lighting the dresser and the floor it landed into ablaze. The creature got back up to face Josh as the flames began to engulf more of the cabin. Josh knew where his last shell had to go, he took aim, pulled the trigger and shot the beast in the head. It dropped to the ground and was soon consumed by the roaring fire. The doorway out was blocked by growing flames, Josh just sat down and resigned himself to his fate. As he sat there waiting for the flames to take him, he noticed blood from the creature pool strong a strange squared area in the floor. It was a hidden trap door, maybe a way out. Josh quickly jumped up and found the hidden latch on the door and opened it. He dropped down as the door closed behind him. The fires above slightly illuminated the room underneath the cabin but he pulled out his flashlight in order to get a better look of his surroundings. There was nothing down there except for a desk and a chair, on the desk was a book. Josh looked around more and saw a big heavy looking steel door. He grabbed the book and with what strength he had left pulled the steel door open. Passed the door was a long tunnel, where it led, Josh had no idea. He closed the steel door behind him and headed deep into the unknown.

I started a photography channel a couple of months ago as my first ever YouTube channel. So far I’ve made 9 videos and 8 shorts. I have 12 subscribers (one is a friend), 17.6 hours watch time and average CTR of 2.9%. Video length has settled between 5 and 10 minutes.
The videos are editing walkthroughs with just a screen recording and a voice over talking through what I’m doing, recorded as I edit the photos.
The shorts are before and after cuts with the intention they would draw people in to watch the full edit. The shorts are just the same clips I post on Reels and TikTok. They’ve definitely brought a few people in to watch the videos but overall my numbers are very small so it’s hard to tell how beneficial they are.
The first videos were really hard. I was so awkward, my mind went blank all the time. By about video 5 or 6 I felt much more relaxed and got the recording time down from 3+ hours to about one hour. My first video is 24 minutes and they’re down to 10 and below now without so many “um”s and “err”s. I do notice I have some stock phrases I use so I’m working on removing those.
I don’t script the videos but I split them into steps of the photo editing process and record/re-record each section until they sound ok.
I’m slowly starting to develop and inject some personality. For my entire life the voice inside my head has been full of life and enthusiasm but by the time I say things out loud it’s gone through so many filters of “should I say this”, “what if I’m saying something wrong” and so on, that it just comes out quite boring. I’ve never been much of a talker and I’ve always expressed myself better through music and photography. Each video is a rep and I’ll keep working on getting better.
Next I’m going to make a series of very basic introductory videos for the editing software I use, Lightroom. I’m going to keep them short and straight to the point. I will also record my webcam and start showing my face on screen which I haven’t done yet. The initial inspiration for the channel came after going on a photo weekend away with a couple of friends. Eventually I would like to make videos about personal photography projects. There are some experiments I want to do, some of which I need to buy some new geatools for and I haven’t done them yet because I can’t justify the cost. It’s not loads of money but it’s much more justifiable if I’m going to make a video about it. Before I get to this point I want to get better at talking, making videos and hopefully build more of an audience.
Right now I’m really struggling with getting enough time to make videos so making shorter ones fits in with my circumstances.
Ok now some questions.
Do you think this is too much changing subject for one channel? Editing walkthroughs, software tutorials, gear reviews, personal projects. I only ever want to have one live/active channel. I don’t think I could ever maintain a gear review channel, a photo project channel etc.
I’m thinking about changing my channel name. My channel name is currently based around the editing walkthroughs and won’t make sense if I’m eventually making videos about personal projects. There are already some photographers with the same name as me so I’m not sure about using my name. I do have a more obscure brand name I’ve thought about using that is unique but it is not neccessarily obvious it’s about photography. That one would help me secure unique socials, website name etc. as well though.

But “The Night the Heroes Fell” still stuck with me, and after seeing some of the feedback in a recent reddit post on the OML Map, I decided to make my own, fixing some glaring issues, adding flavour and generally moving the Map/Setting towards something a little more coherent, or at least a world in which cities are (roughly) the right place! Feedback is welcome, the map isn’t perfect, and not everything will add up perfectly but I have tried to add things that appear in the “Wasteland” canon incl. Wastelanders, OML, OMH, OMQ, DML, Avengers of the Wasteland. Some stuff was just added to flesh out the world, and I’ll point that out where necessary. I left out Magneto, mainly because he can be better utilised in Krakoa, Asteroid M or "New"-Genosha This is my first proper "map", feedback is welcome, both on the lore and the mapmaking itself. Notes: Extrapolated from the mention of the battle at Sioux Falls WastelandElectrovilleCapital: Electroville Leader: Electro Nobody has seen Maxwell Dillon for a long long time, but one thing is for certain, Electroville always has access to power. Which is a benefit to local radio broadcaster “DJ Shocker” who has been broadcasting for several years, playing a mix of Adult Contemporary, Hair Metal and talk segments focusing on Wasteland gossip. Kree Refugee Settlement Capital: Kree Haven Leader: Ronan With the fall of the heroes, interstellar wars suddenly became more common, with the Universal Church of Truth attacking planets across the galaxy. The small settlement of Kree Haven has provided sanctuary to a slow growing population of Kree refugees and other alien citizens seeking asylum. While the territory is ruled day-to-day by its own citizens, Ronan is known to use Kree Haven as his base of operations on Earth. Savage Land Hunting Reserve Capital: Hunt City Leader: Kraven Link) & Link) Someone had the great idea of importing dinosaurs and other creatures from the Savage Land, and the Kravinoff’s saw the opportunity for “The Savage Land Hunting Reserve” in which the highest bidder can go on an exotic safari and live in relative luxury in Hunt City. However with a shortage of tourists, Sergei often hires out the services of the Kravinoff family as mercenaries and muscle. Notes: OC extrapolation to comments about dinosaurs being imported for hunting Titania Town Capital: Titania Town Leader: Titania Titania keeps a low profile, or as low a profile as you can with a town named after you. She collects taxes and trade tariffs but is rarely seen unless unsavoury characters try to disrupt the flow of cash, and the peace of course, but one is more important than the other. Notes: location wasn’t confirmed as far as I could see, so I placed her roughly in Grand Junction. Hobgoblin State Park Capital: Hobgoblin State Park Leader: Hobgoblin Link) The Hobgoblin State Park is essentially one big playground for the psychopathic Hobgoblin to do as they wish. I again watched the movie “the departed”. I always think about the plausible quote but not proven statement by Freud discussing the susceptibility of the Irish to psychoanalysis. I believe it is something along the lines of “The Irish are a mass of contradictions who are impervious to the thought process that might resolve them”. Whether this was actually said in reality or not I wanted to hear other peoples thoughts on the statement whether it has any validity and why you think it may be true.
I am interested in anything you may have to say as I’m Irish myself and every time I rewatch this movie I have to take some time to think about this quote after the movie.

The phone line side of it had some wires connected which I stupidly disconnected without taking a picture thinking they weren't needed for the internet to work. I own some Creations from the Creation Club that I wanted to readd to my game.
Unfortunately, since I downloaded those, my game crashes in the Main Menu, at the exact moment that the "Mods" and "Creation Club" buttons become clickable.
I have no other mods installed besides the ones from the "Base" The Midnight Ride Guide and the aforementioned creations.
So that means the mods found on this page:

Well, as the tittle says, i have questions about growing a personal account. More as a hobby than as a business, but with as much dedication as it takes me, since nowadays it seems to be a presentation card and very helpful to socialize with people around my age (24).
The number of followers i left in the tittle is relatively arbitrary, i don't mind how many followers i grow as long as it is over or around 7k followers, 20k would be the ideal amount tbh.
Regarding the kind of content i would aim to, it would be everything surrounding a male glowup and/or self betterment overall, the specific topics would be something like:
-Fitness -Skincare and Male Beauty Rutines -Fashion Showcase and Advice -Travel and Tourist Advice (i have some overseas trips planned within the next 8 months -Foodie content in general (restaurant reviews and recommendations) -Cooking, Recipes and Dieting for the Gym. -Maybe some self made music or covers(? -Maybe some motivational stuff(?
And anything else i could leverage in the moment, if i go to have an experience like a music festival or anything like that.
The target audience for this account would be people trying to better themselves in general.
I have not yet defined the Format of most things, i will experiment with different formats to see wich one adjusts better to each content, to what i wanna do and to what i like.
I would be aiming for it to have a decent production value, not from the beginning but not too far down the line either, have editors and people to advice me in the areas where i lack knowledge, i have some dispossable income i would like to direct into this.
I'm not going into this empty handed, i have a lot of marketing skills, design knowledge and Technical know how that will help me along the way.
But here come the questions:
What would be a realistic time frame to grow a 7k and/or to get to 20k followers?
What would it take time wise, how many hours a day/week would be good to put into it for it to grow at a decent rate but for me not to overdo it?

Lastly, i want to ask for any and all advice you can give me for the road from zero to wherever i end up at.

We are happily engaged but the timing couldn't be worst ! He lost his job a few months ago, I found a full time after grad school. We are both doing our best to support the household and have so far held things together. The stress of planning this wedding is getting to us, and I feel like im doing it myself. He doesn't talk about it until i do. he doesn't ask questions, or mention anything. After work he just sits on the couch and watched a movie or foot ball. I am a bit ambitious so i try to get as much done in the 5 hours we ahve after work to contribute to our actual household and it feels like I can't do anything fast enough. He works from home and has for year at this point but I think he is just too comfortable. We haven't locked down a venue and or figured out any other details for the wedding. He does research for EVERYTHING ELSE and I mean everything and anything and i haven't heard him mention research for the wedding. And get this...HE IS A DESIGNER. When it comes to decorating anything in this house, his favorite thing to say is' you don't trust me, or my judgement" of course jokingly but still, the one time he can go all out he doesn't have anything to say.
I get that he is stressed and things feel uncertain but I am stressed to ! and Im not pretending like my responsibilities don't exist. He just lets things pile up and then forgets about them. and then he will stress because he knows he should be handling business....smh

But once artillery is teched, any bunker not already covered in concrete is likely to get turned into so much tinder and splinters. Trenches, on the other hand, can survive quite the pounding. Trenches dug well can survive even more, and act as a force multiplier for the infantry stationed inside. Especially once we gain access to BEATs and EATs, and the more powerful AT guns, trench octagons become an outright necessity for frontline defenses. And in turn, frontline trenches ought be dug to defend them. In fact it is just as much a necessity to defend the octagons with trenches as it is to defend the bunkers with octagons. But a frontline trench can be a tricky thing to get right, and the punishment for getting it wrong is often an enemy infantryman chuckling as he runs you through with a piece of metal. A good trench isn't a long, straight ditch in the ground. A good trench zigs and zags, but only where it can then in turn be covered from behind, so that the enemy gets diddly benefit from taking them. Slapping wire and sandbags on a trench is mandatory, and immensly helpful. While trenches do not have patterns as such in the same way bunkers do, there are still a few things repeating across the battlefields. The side-step trench-connector allows you to move from bottom to top while keeping the long trench piece covered by a half-wall at the bottom. Enemies need to enter the corridor to shoot you, while you can remain covered. Other trenches are more sophisticated, and require the use of one-way segments, which by some are viewed as exploits. It is understandable, as the method does indeed exploit the way the trench views itself when it becomes a blueprint. I will not argue that it is not. I will however leave it up to you to decide. There is very little "magic" required, and the trenches are just as vulnerable as before to everything HE-related. Excuse me if I used the wrong flare I must confess I have a pretty old TV despite having a top-of-the-line 4K Apple TV connected to it. Well, it’s time to upgrade… been time. I’m finally giving in and buying a new TV with Google TV built-in. I’m familiar with Google TV, and I fully intend on using my Apple TV for most things, but I’m sure I’ll occasionally use the built-in Google TV for things that my Apple TV isn’t officially capable of (browsing the web, Kodi, just unsupported apps or features in general). One more follow-up thing: I almost exclusively use Ethernet on everything (I just prefer a wired connection—faster). So this leads me to my question: If I connect Ethernet to my TV, would I also have to connect a separate Ethernet cable to my Apple TV? Or could it somehow transfer via the HDMI cable connecting them? I read up a bit, and I’m aware that most, if not all, HDMI cables have Ethernet. Does this mean it will transfer? Is this a feature? And also, is this going to be slower than if I just connected another separate Ethernet cable to it?

Please don't post this on other social media platforms. I can't afford to be found out by him, our school friends, my family or anyone else.
My best friend is abused by her father. He lives in Mumbai and we live in Calcutta. He's a wolf in sheep's clothing with a disguise so convincible that even my parents don't suspect him. Whenever he comes back, he does drugs, gets high and injures her either by beating her up or using objects that he destroys when high, often badly. This has landed her in the hospital innumerable times. To make things worse, she has uncountable health issues both mental and physical like bipolar disorder, severe panic attacks and occasional sleep paralysis and even mentioned something about being born weak. Last year she used to be very suicidal and depressed due to the excruciating pain she frequently went through and committed self harm which was very apparent due to info I received from her boyfriend and the fact that she was wearing a jacket outdoors in the literally unbreathable summer weather of Calcutta. The situation has been escalating so much recently that she nearly died after 3 days of suffering from an injury caused by him which also made her very suicidal again. Her boyfriend called me 80+ times over 1 day to check up on her since her father might check her chats with him. A few days ago the police were called to her house to check on her but her father convinced them that it was self harm which it wasn't because I convinced her to stop last year. Even though I believe that she's not too suicidal, it might change as she might give up on life at some point. Now even though she goes through this trauma, aggravated by her numerous health conditions, she still believes that he just needs help and doesn't truly despise him.This has been happening for as long as I've been friends with her (4 years) or possibly longer. Even though her father is like this, she believes that he just needs help and still might love him.
I live somewhat far away from her so I can't help but much. However I still try my best to keep her in decent health but its not adequate and I don't except the situation to remain the same for long. I urgently need advice on what I can do to sort out this situation once and for all. Getting the police to check up on her may not be the best option as I suspect they may have political connections and calling a child helpline can cause her to panic due to the sudden change that she's not willing to accept and also the fact that she'll be going to a new school with new people.
Note: I believe that some people are just genuinely very unlucky and I believe she's one of them. She's a chill person with a nice personality minding her own business but still gets ostracized by the people in her neighborhood, school and sometimes even her own friends. Besides this, she also gets both insulted and assaulted by random people in her housing society and school. I try to get her out of her house in the weekends but she won't budge. Its equally unsafe for her both inside and outside her house.
Btw if you're someone she knows reading this then keep all this info to yourself and don't bring it all up with her or pity her.

I have one property in Wales on a long-term let under a 'PERIODIC STANDARD CONTRACT WITH SIX-MONTH MINIMUM NOTICE PERIOD'. The property is managed through a lettings agent.
On May the 2nd, I emailed the agent to give notice for December the 1st, and received a reply the same day saying they'd start the necessary paperwork. After many follow-up emails, they sent through the documentation yesterday (the 4th of June) saying notice had been given to vacate by the 13th. This no longer gives me enough time to get the house ready myself for holiday letting and I may need professionals. E.G., I'd planned to repaint inside and out but may now need a professional painter as I'll still be needing to deep clean the property, replace carpets where necessary, install new furniture etc.
I'm wondering whether I have any recourse with the agent? E.G., could I stipulate that the property be vacant on the 1st and the agent cover the costs of putting up the tenants in an Airbnb? Could I demand that they no longer change a management fee for the next six months (this is the third issue of incompetence from them so I have little patience with the agent)? Could I waive the rent for the month of November in exchange for the tenants leaving by the first? Or can I bill the agents for any professional assistance I need and actually have a shot of them paying? Or is this something I just need to tell my insurance about and let them pursue them for costs etc./something I should send to the property redress scheme? I feel this kind of incompetence is actually below the level you require of an agent: had they told me that the contract renewed on the 15th, I would have said to give notice by November 15th if there was any doubt.

These agents have previously done work without permission (where I've stated that any work over £100 I would like prior consent), and this is not emergency maintenance, we're talking chimney sweeping etc. for which I've told them to send me quotes. They also installed cladding on the property under a Welsh-government scheme without getting consent first which eventually resulted in the cladding company, as far as I'm aware, being pursued by the Welsh government for negligence and fined. (I have no proof, but strongly believe that the cladding company and lettings agent were in cahoots on this...)
They should really not be operating (terrible reviews, incompetent behaviour, etc.), so any complaints/redress processes/money I can chase them for through insurance would be good routes, even if it means a stressful week rather than the leisurely three I'd hoped for.

TL;DR, my lettings agent gave notice for December 13th rather than the 1st and now I don't have enough time to get the property ready—next steps? (In Wales.)
I have one property in Wales on a long-term let under a 'PERIODIC STANDARD CONTRACT WITH SIX-MONTH MINIMUM NOTICE PERIOD'. The property is managed through a lettings agent.
On May the 2nd, I emailed the agent to give notice for December the 1st, and received a reply the same day saying they'd start the necessary paperwork. After many follow-up emails, they sent through the documentation yesterday (the 4th of June) saying notice had been given to vacate by the 13th. This no longer gives me enough time to get the house ready myself for holiday letting and I may need professionals. E.G., I'd planned to repaint inside and out but may now need a professional painter as I'll still be needing to deep clean the property, replace carpets where necessary, install new furniture etc.
I'm wondering whether I have any recourse with the agent? E.G., could I stipulate that the property be vacant on the 1st and the agent cover the costs of putting up the tenants in an Airbnb? Could I demand that they no longer change a management fee for the next six months (this is the third issue of incompetence from them so I have little patience with the agent)? Could I waive the rent for the month of November in exchange for the tenants leaving by the first? Or can I bill the agents for any professional assistance I need and actually have a shot of them paying? Or is this something I just need to tell my insurance about and let them pursue them for costs etc./something I should send to the property redress scheme? I feel this kind of incompetence is actually below the level you require of an agent: had they told me that the contract renewed on the 15th, I would have said to give notice by November 15th if there was any doubt.
