He argued that I should save to buy the real deal since good replicas are also not that cheap. I don't even know how to start this post off.. i feel like it's one of those things that i can't even describe anymore or even know if I'm wrong or not. I guess for starters, I'm 31 Y/O, electrician by trade for about 8 9 years but branching out into handyman work. But nevertheless, I'm always one to think ahead, put others interests, feelings, thoughts, ahead of mine. I view my relationships as a team and try to better our team every day. In regards to everyday tasks or any day to day situations I (or us as a couple) may face, I try to come up with the best course of action for our best interests, this does not mean I am not open to communication. I strongly believe open communication, trust, respect, and self love can make the strongest of bonds.
Sometimes, most times than not, I make crappy decisions, sometimes let my heart lead the way over my brain and gut feelings. I got into a relationship with an old high school classmate almost immediately. She one day asked for electrical advise on Facebook, which I easily gave thru messenger. Told her about my new taking my time routine, but now I had a bigger inkling that at least she was interested a bit more. 2nd hang out comes, 3rd, 4th. By this time we've already become intimate and I've spent the night majority of those times. But things were moving really nicely and we were getting along. This is where I started fucking up I feel. I had my car and my job and had love haze over my eyes. I would ask her if she wants me to spend the night again or if she wants some alone time, she made it clear that she had absolutely no problem with me staying more and more. And well I didn't either. Few weeks pass by and I notice that she starts getting angry or upset at small, oddly, weird things. I can't remember all of them but one of them was a joke a made about having the toilet paper roll facing backwards instead of forward. Apparently I crossed a line and she stormed off into the bedroom. I thought, that was a little weird but ay sometimes we just have off, mad days. We're human.
Now I have to say as well that we had really good days and good condos and a strong shared interest into construction type work. After all she messaged me on replacing an outlet and she did it herself. But now some more weeks pass and there's still some fighting happening, rather her getting upset about something and for the life of me can't figure out why or how. I would sit and listen to her and then be told I never hear her out or listen. I try to change whatever problems she saw and be told I don't change. One night we both got very drunk and i, again, made a bad decision. Drove. And cherry on top, to buy bad bad drugs. I overdosed and was arrested for dui. Lost license, etc. I've fucked up in my life before but man I really felt like a huge fuck up with this, as anyone should. For the life of me idk why we stayed together. But we did. In my head I said, I'm 30, I can't keep going in and out of relationships, just gotta make it work. She always wanted to keep the relationship. We said we love each other and all that. I ended up losing my job as well but I started getting unemployment.
We had a discussion (3 times) about my situation and that it's going to be hard to contribute much and that if she doesn't want me to stay, I can move back in with my parents. It really won't be a problem, not like they kicked me out. Im just trying to build a life outside of their support. She made it clear each time I asked (3times) that she wants me to stay, won't be a problem, just use whatever money I get to pay for my half of groceries and what not. Which was not a problem.
My love for construction and building things gave way to a hobby of woodworking and another level of love and appreciation for the trades and construction. She had stated how she hates her condo and made a huge mistake having a mortgage for a place she hates. We started with little projects here and there, I replaced all outlets, switches, light fixtures to spruce things up. Mounted tvs, remodeled the whole kitchen, cabinets, flooring, appliances, tiles, everything. She paid materials, I did labor. Free of charge of course, I couldn't really pay rent. I re painted and re trimmed all the doors, built shelves, build ins for storage, turned a closet into a nice workable utility closet for us to use. And currently, working on remodeling the bathroom. Our goal was to make this place worth something, sell, and have a nice house where we can build things and renovate all we want.
Side note: we have very very very annoying neighbors who would complain every hour about us. So we wanted freedom.
She had a ring camera and when the neighbors would call the cops, would check and see the shit they talk, I'm a little nosy like that but I mean idk. Just wanted to hear if they were lying or not. My partner was extremely anxious and had a very hard time being in social settings, dealing with confrontations, and literally all the alike. I on the other hand did not, so I took up that part as well. I'd always deal with the cops being called, neighbors, etc. Even when making amazon returns at ups or wherever, I had to be the one to go inside because she just couldn't.
There were so many red flags but I ignored them. Don't know. And not the whole being anxious thing. That was fine. It was constantly being told I don't do anything, I don't think about her, I never listen. Her initial reactions to certain situations would be mean and cruel sometimes. Always trying to spite other people because things didn't go her way, and when they don't. She gets sad and closed off and runs to cry in the bedroom. Gets to the point that I can't express how I feel about some things without her getting upset that I feel that way and turning it into, she's the victim now. I'm always bring accused of gaslighting her or that I'm a good argumenter or whatever when all I'm doing is replaying the day or whatever transpired and her getting mad at, I guess, realizing she might have been wrong. There's been so many times that I say her fuse is short and gets angry so quickly and she won't see it. Then she comes back and says yeah I was being a bitch. The constant fighting and being told I don't do anything, I don't care about her, etc etc etc. When all I've done, is just try to build us up and be happy and not fight and take on this world together. Granted I know I fucked up with my dui and can't put much money in right now. But I'm very good with my hands and can make a decent living when I do have a license again. I've even been on little odd jobs here and there. And just for full disclosure, besides rent, I pay my own way cigarettes, medical expenses, food, whatever kind of entertainment. I have a cat that moved in with me too. Along with her 2 cats. Makes 3 cats. I put in money for them all the time. She makes a great salary and never has a problem with the mortgage. That doesn't excuse me from paying rent, but I just can not right now until I have a steady income. But whatever cash I do get, I buy her food, surprise with coffees and breakfast, just little things.
But the fightings don't stop. Haven't stopped. It got to the point where I'm losing myself and losing my own temper so quickly. Started calling her stupid and immature, toxic. Now I know this is wrong (true) but wrong. I don't like being that kind of person. But anyone who knows me can tell you, I don't start my day off just name calling people and being mean. I get accused of being disrespectful, mean, an asshole, having an attitude, etc. I can't even be a regular, nonchalant basic boring, lazy Sunday, kinda guy cause it comes off as having an attitude. If I'm not in a cutesy, baby talking voice to her, it's "having a tone". If I phrase a question wrong, it's "I'm demanding her to do stuff or ordering her around" even though I used words like 'please' or 'can you' 'when you have a chance' 'when you're not busy'
Apparently I order her. Boss her around. 1 recent example is, we got a storage locker for some of our things cause we just have so much crap. She asked if I could grab something from under the bed cause it's heavy. Not. A. Problem. I gotcha, I pull it out, and I ask her, should I take this other thing out cause we gotta make room for "object". She looks at me and says, 'you want ME to do it'? ....as im on the ground waiting to get it. Im fed up and just ask what the hell are you talking about?? Why would I want you to do all of this heavy lifting stuff without any help. Plus IM LITERALLY ON THE GROUND WAITING FOR YOUR ANSWER. She gets mad and now I'm ordering her around..
So this is where I think I've basically come to terms that it's over between us. We've been looking to adopt another kitten (I know. Another bad decision) last week we went to a shelter and fell in love with 2 kittens. (I know. I know. I know) as were walking out the shelter, we're talking about how we have 1 week to get our condo ready for kittens, clean, organize, baby proof basically (all while I'm still currently renovating the bathroom) I said we both gotta knuckle down and really put some elbow grease into it for this week.
Side note again. I have to mention, have to have to have to. She can be organized sometimes and have some drive to stay clean but in all transparency, she's a slob. Always throws things on the ground, spills soda and doesn't clean, just clothes, food, dirt, EVERYWHERE. And when i mention something, I'm an asshole. I clean the place to just have it TRASHED moments later. I would clean the kitchen, and moment she steps in there, like a bomb went off, and no accountability for her actions.
SO. We talk about how we have to have the place ready for the kittens. ALL. WEEK. I've been trying to finish the bathroom and organize and pack things for the storage. I want to say it was about 85% me and 8% her (7% left out because as im writing this, it's not done) we would argue about something and she storms off and sulks. Uses the fact we fought to justify not doing anything. The night before we get the new kittens, I pulled it out of my ass and cleaned this place spotless (except for the kitchen and bedroom because she was in there) but the living room where there was a complete mess and disarray of tools and objects and dirt and a floor that hasnt been mopped in a year, spotless. Kitten pick up appointment at 3pm.
Now 1pm and she wakes up, I remind her the pick up time, and the kitchen still needs work and some stuff in the bedroom put away. She then says it's all too much, gets angry, sulks a bit more. But finally does get moving at some point. In my head all I was thinking was, I GAVE US A WEEK TO GET THIS PLACE READY AND YOU USED NONE OF THAT TIME EXCEPT TO BE MAD AND SAY IM ORDERING YOU AROUND. This thought eventually made it's way out of my mouth but that was later on.
We got a text saying the kittens have ringworm.
We have 3 other cats
So, my brain goes into problem solving mode. We pick up the kittens and on thr way home, I ask her what thr game plan should be (she has no idea) says things like I guess take our clothes and throw it with the other laundry. Or not a big deal about washing our hands and disinfectants. So.. ultimately knowing that we can't let that happen, I come up with a game plan to minimize any spread or infections. It was simple. We go inside, she does not touch the current cats we have, take off clothes, put in a bag, wash hands, and move some stuff around the bedroom to put a playpen to keep kittens contained. All meanwhile were breaking our hearts cause they're in a cat carrier and crying. I would come in, do the same, keep kittens in carrier and in stairwell away from other cats. We get home, and she does a few steps good, but then I see she's cleaning out her soda Cuppy and some other personals and filling up her soda cup. All while the kittens are crying in the bag, the other cats are trying to get to them. She starts going really slow to get the bedroom ready and arguing with me saying to put the food and water outside the pen or ti get a different sized litter box which were my duties in this. She just had to make some room in the bedroom which should of been ready, a while ago... she stands there in the middle of the door way saying I'm not doing anything or not to be a dickhead. I couldn't stand it anymore and just fed up. So I tell her to move out the way, she blocks the door way as I try to get in and she trips on a box on the floor.. So now I pushed her... I pay no mind cause I know it's bullshit. (She was in an abusive relationship before me, so I understand why she does certain things or sees things in a certain way) but nah. I've never put my hands on a woman, she on the other hand, has punched my legs while I was sleeping to wake me up to talk about a fight we had (months beforr) but I'm the abuser right? Either way. I pay her no mind, get the room ready and continue getting the kittens in the playpen in the bedroom. She had at this point stormed off and was getting a bowl of water to bring the kittens. She had a lit cigarette in the same hand as the bowl trying to give it to them. I said what the fuck are you doing (we talked in the car before getting them that we can't smoke cigs around them cause they're so young) so she realizes and kinda backs off. Things somewhat cool down but man... I'm thinking, we can't even have a day of peace to bring kittens home. Always a fight. At this point and honestly for a couple months now I've just been so mentally drained and exhausted idk why it's even worth it.
She set up the amazon echo so we can keep an eye on them while in the bedroom and shit but it was super crappy positioning and quality. Plus they're gonna have to be separated for a few weeks according to the vet.
Now. I have to mention, we talked about having an indoor camera in passing to see what our big cats do when we're not here and she said she does not feel comfortable with a camera inside. Personally idk why. She controls the entire house with google and Alexa. Like... literally. The entire condo. But either way it wasn't a big thing for me to have one that badly so I didn't really push on it. This convo happened many months ago. But now we had the kittens and SHE set up the echo to view the kittens. I, I guess was wrong of me, took it upon myself and ordered an indoor camera that can be controlled and viewed with Alexa, cause she loves that shit, and told her about it. She IMMEDIATELY was so defensive and was straight no end of story. I tried explaining that she can literally just turn it off whenever she wants or just put it in a room she's not in whenever she wants. And jt was like 16 bucks. After the kittens are older, just throw it away idc. But no. Its a big problem. So I canceled the order and said whatever not worth the hassle.
Thank you very much reddit for idk how but.. im on here asking a question about a kittens behavior and as I finish reading and click back, page refreshes and what pops up, post that reads my bf bought a pet camera in quotations for the kittens but I don't want it or whatever. I'm paraphrasing. And as im reading the post. Look at that. Its about me.
Figure I'll give my side to this story as well seeing as there's no way to mend this relationship. Thought maybe couples therapy could do it but after reading everything she said, it just hurts and I would have no self respect.
By the way, we haven't even broken up yet. Last thing we spoke was. I asked if she wanted us to work out, she explained how she felt and I sat. Listened. And admittly told her I was very sorry for letting myself get to the point where I was calling her stupid and the like. I told her I was wrong in my approach that way. And when I thought it was time for me to express how I felt, I wasn't listening to her feelings. I don't care or respect her. I'm always saying it's her fault......
.... I just sat here and listened to you... I just admitted I was wrong in some of the ways I handled it.... why can't I have my feelings too???? Im.not justifying it. I said I was wrong and I'm sorry but this is a 2 way street. Are my feelings not valid?? After noticing she's not listening to me, I said I'm done with this convo for.now because I don't think it's going anywhere She then says I'm closed and never listen.

The drawstring cinches are forgiving and I can pile it on, but I don’t really want to overstuff the leather because I don’t want to have any regrets damaging the beautiful lambskin!

Am I satisfied?! How can I not be? I love the feel and look of this bag. I never set it down on the floor, I usually put it on my lap when I am sitting and just find myself mindlessly stroking the leather. Surprisingly this bag can fit a lot perhaps because it’s just one empty sack like shape. I find the magnet is strong enough to keep pickpocketers out but still easy enough to get my stuff in and out of. I love the adjustable and detachable straps because I can use it with my chains and other straps if I want (I’ve used it with my LV gold chain strap and it looks AMAZING). Definitely a keeper for my purse collection and one for the books in terms of incredibly high quality leather!

4/17/2024 I reached out to Janie on to see if she had the SL frames. She Immediately responded that she had them and sent me the album and quoted me a price for frames and lenses.
I decided I might as well get 2 pair.
5/15/2024 I decided on the GM x MM and explained I was ready to purchase. Yes it took me a month to decide on another pair.
She requested a copy of my RX and PD and told me it would take a week to make the lenses due to my prescription. I have astigmatism and add was +1.50. My RX does not list my PD number so I called my eye doctor to get this info. My optometrist charged me $35 to measure the PD for my last glasses. Janie advised that my lenses are normally $60 but she will honor the $55 originally quoted.
5/16/2024 I was given a AE link to make purchase. Please note that the glasses on the site do not match what was ordered. I was told to order 2 of 2 different types of frames to bring order to the total that was quoted. It was a little confusing but everything worked out

Quality
The quality is very nice. Having owned acetate and regular plastic frames in the past, these feel like the advertised acetate. They both have good weight to them. I find acetate glasses to be smoother and more dense than regular plastic. The logos are etched in like the authentic and appear to be in the correct position.

My GM X MM frames are tilted forward a little. They kinda look tilted forward on the model in the website for the Auth. The side view on the Auth site does not look like there is a tilt. If this makes any sense. The auth and factory photos show a white case for the glasses. I was given a Black Case. This is a minor detail for me. I will be lucky if I can remember to use the case. The case is squishy. I don’t know what the Auth case is like but I feel like it should be harder.

The Saint Laurent look identical to the auth online. You can not see the logo on the temples for the Auth online in black. However if you look at the yellow pair of the SL 545 you can see that Saint Laurent it etched on the temples. I am not the best QC’er but these look 1:1 to me.
The prescription of both pair are perfect. I got transition lenses darken to grey in the sunlight and are transparent indoors for the SL pair. The GM are transparent lenses and have a faint yellow hue like the ones from my ophthalmologist.

I had a fabulous experience with this seller for Prescription glasses. will say if you see something on the AUTH site but not in Janies album it is worth sending her a screen shot of the frames you are looking for. I couldn't find the SL in her album. My son now wants a pair of GM that I did not see in the album that she say's she has. FYI she quoted me $20 for blue light blocking lenses. That's a little steep compare to Vincent.
