2024.05.23 15:09 neobowman Doom Devil's Bargain + Hand of Midas

Devil's Bargain lets you sell items for 90%. Midas is a 2200 cost item that sells for 1980.
Lvl ? Pain incentivizes you to be leveled. I think Midas is a better option for this than mid doom or solo laning.
Let's do the math. Midas starts with 1 charge as soon as you get it. That's 160 gold (ignoring potential gold from just manually killing the creep). Recharge time is 110 seconds. So if you use both charges asap and sell, you get 2300 gold. This is a simplified calculation but I think it isn't far off from the actual value. you aren't buying another item within that timeframe, it's probably worth it.
Building BKB? Midas first, then once you hit 2k gold, sell midas and buy BKB. Building Octarine now? Ok buy Midas again, then once you hit 2.9k, sell it and buy Octarine. You come out ahead in gold, and you get the extra experience.
The question is do you do this for items with a decent buildup like Shiva's. Do you even get Midas instead of Veil to start?

Lewis Hamilton via IG Monaco always takes me back.
I raced here for the first time when I was 19, in Formula 3, and I couldn't believe I was finally here. Had the best weekend of my life, too. Won my race and went on the F1 grid. It's amazing to still be here and I don't take it lightly. Every time we race here I think about that 19 year old..

12 - 14 dpo, I tested negative completely on 10 dpo.
I know my dates so any reason the lines are so light? Should I be worried? This is my first pregnancy. First test was up and up brand, second was a cheap Walmart test, third was the Clearblue tests. The lines are more prominent in person but still so so faint, I want to be excited but I have seen lots of posts where lines are much darker by this day, no bleeding as of today so far which is currently the expected date for my period. What do y'all think, could this be a chemical pregnancy or could this just be normal? Thanks so much! 🫶🥹🫠 Oh I also tested fully negative on 10dpo but maybe it was just to early then?

2024.05.23 15:07 alienbecks Dress Shopping This Weekend - Advice?

So I am going shopping for the first time this weekend and I am feeling ✨ stressed ✨. I have major body image issues and while I've lost 25lbs. I would ideally like to lose another 25. I'm plus size (16-18 in street clothes) and I'm SO worried that I won't be able to try on styles that I like. Both stores I'm going to this weekend advertise as carrying plus size dresses but it always seems that the plus size gowns online have the same 3-4 styles repeated and none are really what I envisioned. I was also thinking about doing a full glam for my appointment so that I can feel pretty while I'm trying stuff on and not feel as focused on my body. But is it not a good idea to wear lipstick (transfer proof tried and true) and eyeshadow etc in worry of getting it on the dresses? I'm very lucky and have a solid support team but I'm getting so nervous! I have a ton of time (wedding in October '25) but I also feel the pressure to choose something since my Mom and sister are traveling for the appointments and some dresses take a year to get in! Ahhh! Advice on how to navigate all this? How do I know it's "the one" and not just the best one I've seen that day. Things to look for as "red flags" or how to best prep for the appointment? Any help would be great.
TLDR; I'm plus size and worried about being able to try on dress styles I like and don't know if it's acceptable to wear a full face of makeup at appointment. Concerned about giving in to pressure to buy something.

2024.05.23 15:07 SomeTeach9549 I don't enjoy living anymore

Please note that this is not a suicidal note in any sense. I am a college student from a reputed institute. I want to be completely honest, but I am not even a bit happy with how things have been going. I study with dedication and work hard. But tbh, I am not doing well academically. I have never felt so weak and demotivated. It's just that my feelings are dead at this point. I have completely lost the motivation to try out something new. It's just because whatever I try to achieve, I fail at it miserably. I see my friends accomplishing so many things. I might not be that smart, but I know I am more hardworking than them to balance it out. Is it true that some things are not meant to be? Is it true that sometimes, you fail at it no matter how hard you try? Why am I suffering like this? I am seriously confused at this point. I took a difficult course this semester. I wanted to do well in it. I worked so hard, really hard, but I just passed. Not that others did well, but they performed relatively better compared to me, and I have certainly put in more effort than them. I love playing guitar; I am a big metalhead. I did participate in the music club at my college, but to pick up any form of position of responsibility, one needs to have certain grades. In my case, I don't have the grades to do so and, hence, can't do anything useful for the club. I would never become a director or even a representative. For these reasons, I have stopped playing the guitar. I don't have anyone with whom I can share how I feel, and I do have friends, but I don't consider them close to me. They have their things going on amongst each other, and I don't feel involved. I kinda do hate them. It's just that when I see them and compare myself to them, I don't see the qualities that give them an edge over me. I am more civilized than them; I would say my decisions are more rational compared to them, and I am more hardworking than them (we live on campus, so yes, I know how hard they work since we live together). I just don't get it. Why them, and why not me? And it's not just me saying that; all my other friends think I work hard. I am just not getting the results. I think I am so saddened at this point that I have become numb. My semester grades came, and I am not even saddened by them. That might sound wrong, though; let's say that I am sad, just that at this point, somewhere deep down, I have accepted it. I have accepted the fact that I am no longer good, not like how I used to be before college (good at academics plus extra-curricular). I don't find it worth living at this point (I don't think of it as suicidal thoughts; I consider suicidal people to be weak; I just don't enjoy living and existing). I think I have lost.

2024.05.23 15:07 Few_Comedian9682 I can't play violent games anymore where you have to kill other beings. Is there someone who can relate?

When I was a youngling I used to play a lot of really violent games. I used to play Postal as a kid... Jeez. But now after playing through Doom 2016 and Eternal the over the top gore kinda made me think. My first thought was "why do I wanna see such horrible images where you mass murder thousands of creatures in the most brutal way possible? Cutting their heads off, poking their arm bones through their bodies, etc... Why do I wanna see that in videogames?". Then I realised no, I don't really want to see that in videogames. I just don't understand the appeal. There is nothing beautiful in the images I just described. Heck it, I can't even play games where you have to kill even if you just shoot people. It just goes completely against my entire being. It makes me anxious and gives me bad mental images when I go to bed and close my eyes. The only games where I can imagine killing would be ok is hunting games. Since you don't have to mass murder which is a lot more messed up than killing a rabbit or a deer. But anyway hunting games are not my cup of tea.
If you are a person who's into these kind of violent videogames like let's say Doom Eternal I have a question for you. What's appealing in playing such horribly disgusting games? Because let's say it. The art style of those games is disgusting. There is no other way to describe everything that happens on screen. But I'm genuinely interested in your answer.
Also on the other hand I'm interested in people who are on the same opinion as me. So what's your take on this subject?I can't play violent games anymore where you have to kill other beings. Is there someone who can relate?I can't play violent games anymore where you have to kill other beings. Is there someone who can relate?

2024.05.23 15:06 LCLeopards On the Final 5 Immunity

Of all the moments from this season, I think the thing I will remember the most is Liz going back and getting the plank and helping Kenzie win immunity to take out Maria. The reason is because it seems like Jeff/Producers don’t know whether they want to allow this or not.
This is not the first time contestants tried to help their competitors to knock out another but with different outcomes.
In South Pacific, Sophie asked Albert to help her pick up her pieces in the card stacking challenge. Jeff shut it down immediately stating if you want Ozzy out you need to knock him out yourself.
Flash forward to Millenials v Gen X, in the same ball puzzle challenge we saw in the final 4, Adam stops working on his puzzle help Ken solve his puzzle and more critically to watch Ken’s ball. Adam’s assistance was allowed and Ken wins immunity allowing Adam to flush Jay’s idol.
So the question is, did the rules change, or is this just another example of selective enforcement? Because I would argue Liz’s assistance was the most blatant of the three examples of actively helping someone else win.

2024.05.23 15:06 CryptographerFew6343 It's so ironic

Throughout the series, Yuta has consistently been the only one to show care for Gojo outside of his role as the "strongest Jujutsu sorcerer". Obviously, everyone loves him, but they love him because he is the most reliable sorcerer around who's able to protect millions of people on his own. I mean, one of the reasons that they entered the culling games was for the purpose of finding somebody who could unseal Gojo. Even Yuji was willing to die for Gojo to be unsealed, mainly because he knew that Gojo would be able to resolve the culling games and save millions of people (without thinking whether that was something Gojo would've wanted). Gojo is synonymous with "the strongest"; he is loved both because he has the title of the strongest and also because he is the Gojo-sensei who worked to guide and save his students. These facets are one and the same.
This mindset isn't at all wrong; they're completely right in thinking this, in fact I'd say they're objectively right. The ONLY sorcerer who can save Jujutsu society was Gojo. They don't have a choice, if Gojo remains sealed, ALL of Japan will die.
But this is exactly why Yuta was so desperate to close the gap. There was no need to go through the process of faking Yuji's death to save him, or gaining 400 points in the CG, or trying to kill Kenjaku on his own. All of these things would become irrelevant instantly if Gojo was unsealed. Gojo can save Yuji, destroy the culling games, and kill Kenjaku in a matter of hours. But that's not what Yuta wants, Yuta out of EVERYONE wanted to take the burden off of Gojo's shoulders. In his mind, just because Gojo can do it easily doesn't mean Gojo should HAVE to do it. But unless Yuta made it to his strength, this would all be empty. Unless Yuta could become a sorcerer on Gojo's level, Gojo would forever be forced to become a tool of Jujutsu, doing the work that was impossible for everyone else.
He didn't do this because he thought he had a "responsibility" as a special grade sorcerer and one with strength. He didn't do this out of pure ego, rejecting everything around him and aiming for the heights of Jujutsu alone. His reasoning was simply "Gojo-sensei shouldn't have to kill his best friend again, he shouldn't have to take on the responsibility of the entire world on his back, which is why I MUST become strong enough to take this burden off his hands".
And finally, he's in that position. As of this moment, he finally shares Gojo's responsibility as the strongest, and he's finally able to become someone who can uphold the Jujutsu world like Gojo did. But what did it cost? Gojo's life, and Okkotsu is the ONLY one who is able to use his body. He ALONE needs to take the burden of piloting his beloved teachers body and using his powers because he's the ONLY sorcerer who can. He doesn't have a choice, if he doesn't take the mantle, ALL of his friends will die.
And that's what's so ironic and tragic about it all. Yuta took up this mantle for the reason of allowing Gojo to rest, and directly because of that he is forced to do the complete opposite of that in order for it to happen. The reasons behind why he needed to be in this situation and what that resulted in are completely backwards. Just like Yuji, the meaning and reason are not relevant anymore; they have been ground to dust in the great Jujutsu machine, which Yuta is just a cog in. Just like Gojo, he was finally granted everything that he needed to accomplish his goals, but he can't do anything because those very goals were destroyed in the process.
Rant over, I just wanted to convey that Yuta isn't an isekai mc who is somehow beyond the story, he's very much in line with the themes of Jujutsu Kaisen as much as Yuji and Gojo are.

2024.05.23 15:06 totheranch1 I think I figured out the cause of my sudden onset of leg pain + dizziness??

I had sudden extreme pain in January when walking on my right leg to the point where there was quick electric shocks whenever I took a step. Happened at work, went away the next day.
Went to urgent care just in case because it felt like I tore something. The doctor was very good at muscle injuries and could tell nothing tore like I thought it had. Because it felt strongest in my knee, I was told it was 'patellofemoral pain syndrome of right knee' and told to compress it with ice.
Went away for a few weeks. Then, flares kept happening more frequently on my right leg all the way down to my feet. March, I visited my pcp telling her I was feeling sharp pain on my legs and foot. She extended and closed my legs. Said my hamstrings are tight. Made a comment about how I'm too young for back pain under her breath (im 21F). Had me look up and down briefly, no pain triggered by that. Confidently said it was tight hamstrings, and referred me to physical therapy. I was convinced at the time it was the case, that it was also some runners knee, and dealt with it. She said she had no clue what was up with my feet and told me to get new shoes.
These flares, at that point, began to become more and more frequent. Twice a week. Maybe once every 2 weeks was the type of pain where I wouldn't be able to walk for 4 days and it would take me 5 mins to get out of bed due to not being able to bend the leg.
I kid you not. The first physical therapy appointment, after the testing and measurements, my pt told me it wasn't my hamstrings but nerve related. That my symptoms being caused by tight hamstrings makes no sense. Listened to me when I told her the pain went all the way up to my pelvis. Despite insurance accepting it based off knee pain, she focused my exercises on things that would help the nerve pain and my pelvic pain (I am still figuring the pelvic pain out as it related to inconsistent periods.)
I've had 3 appointments with my physical therapist, and each time it's confirmed that it's nerve pain. I have been focusing my messages on bad dizziness 24/7 I've been getting with my pcp, who denied my sleep study and put me on trazadone since I've been waking up multiple times a night. Don't remember the last time my vision was normal. Currently, these flares happen everyday where I sit for a long time and need to limp with that leg in order to walk on it.
As a people pleaser, I didn't want to throw a bunch of complaints at my pcp as I didn't want to come across as annoying or dramatic. But my final straw was literally Monday up until today, where my left leg is having such bad pain it's causing me to skip classes and work. Told her my PT says it's scatica pain. I'm worried she's just going to give me more medication and move on.
After some research this week, all my symptoms seem to match up to a herniated disk. My job is extremely physical – walking up stairs, carrying kids up and down the stairs, carrying kids in general, getting up quickly, bending down constantly, sitting on the floor etc. Basically everything you can imagine (I work at a daycare).
I also read that untreated, it can progressively get worse, cause scatica, AND cause dizziness. It's at the point where no otc meds help anymore (I've been taking Acetaminophen everyday for 2 months) and there's only relief when I lay on my side.
I'm just hoping I'm taken seriously and that the pieces are put together. I hate being people pleasing and worrying too much about being an inconvenience to people, even doctors. I don't like demanding tests and intervention and frame it in a way where I ask the doctor what they think is best. But my friend says I need to start advocating for myself, and I think now I will. I'm tired of this.

2024.05.23 15:05 Brian_Ruppert_ Are There Any Teen Sex Comedies Based On True Stories?

I just watched Snack Shack (really good first half, I thought it slowed down too much in the 2nd half, but still pretty good) and saw it was semi-autobiographical. It got me thinking are there any teen sex comedies based on true stories?
I do a comedy/history podcast Reviewing History where we watch movies based on true stories and go through them talking about what's real and fake in the movie. I'm always looking for new genres for us to play in, and I love the genre so I was wondering if anyone knew of any. Google was no help so give me what ya got.
Project X is the only one I can think of, but the movie is so loosely inspired by the Australian incident I don't think I could reasonably count it as based on a true story.

2024.05.23 15:05 Pitiful_Ad8641 Week 9 Must Win?

We have 2 weeks left. See how fast it truly goes? In the NFL, we’d just be now talking about the playoffs.
First we look at Week 8 results and their emotional impact:
Week 8 “Must Wins” Results:
Anthony Becht: Totally predictable that you lost. What wasn't predicted was AJ getting his ankle rolled. This is a game you should win. You're at home, DC is reeling and if you knock them out you’re golden. BUT this is a marathon, not a sprint. Your whole goal should be to get back to facing Birmingham albiet this time in your house with your fans. So I would rest AJ this week. Either your QB2 OR (and I encourage this) ring up Da Nuch. He saw DC 3 times last year.
No Da Nooch and he said he doesn't wanna just come back. “Fine” but I am not sure your QB2 is 100% locked. That was NAME REDACTED. Not a playoff D. I’d have rolled with a different QB this week but looks like going with whosawhatsit.
Mike Nolan: Yeah two QBs could be a thing back in March but imo you need to roll with just Perkins this week.
Yeah, you switched it up and idk it's a thing, just stop please.
Roughnecks RZ offense: Had you just punched it in like one time you should have won. With the ruleset, which I prefer, you CAN'T just let a team hang around because THAT will happen. No time to lick your wounds, you got Birmingham next and while I predict a butt kicking, try to keep it interesting before halftime and to do that you need to actually punch it in.
¾ in the RZ. Now if only the defense could have replicated the week before….
Luis Perez: Thank goodness I don't subscribe to QB wins. Atm I got you as 1 of 3 QBs actually scaling the QB mountain atm and this could be a sneaky game. I don't predict it but a great game and a bit of luck could give y'all no than a puncher's chance.
3pts in the first half. “Yeah but reasons”. Yeah and I am a fan who preferred Kirk stay. Think I have seen this debate before?
3pts+a Pretty box score
So on to Week 9, Who needs some motivation?:
Bryce Perkins
Look, I think you might not be just the answer at QB now but the answer moving forward. BUT Mike Nolan is going to need you to make this a choice so just repeat.
Brahmas
Look, I didn't predict a W. You're at home. You're a playoff team. I’ll be giving the toast at my best friend's wedding while this game is on and that's unfortunate because it was the game I was looking the most forward to. Just don't get massacred
Battlehawks QB
That was NAME REDACTED defense out there. Was expecting a massacre. Not to still be in it in the 4th and while you were “fine”, “fine” doesn't cut it in the playoffs. Hopefully AJ is back but to make me feel better do even better.
Memphis Attendance
Right now you are averaging 7,360. In comparison, Orlando was 8,931. With a min of 7,000. I know once upon a time, the FedEx guy wanted y'all in market but we gave up BANDITBALL for y'all and you are embarrassing af right now so I need y'all to buck up.

2024.05.23 15:05 lovelycardigan I feel like used.

NSFW If a girl say no sex and the man accepts her decision, who's at fault when they make out and he forces his way with her? And when confronted, he says that "its just the head" . So basically I (19F) had my first boyfriend (20M) last year around September. So basically since we became a couple, he makes me feel weird about myself. He once said I have "sagging boobs" for a girl my age and another time he said that my stomach is too big. He once said that he thinks I'm not a virgin since I talk to alot of boys which isn't true. He's the type of guy when I decide to leave him since I'm tired, he resorts to saying he'll k*ll or harm himself. He made me leave all my male friends which is fine as long as he does the same. But nope, he doesn't listen. He compares me to his mom, which I hate and I have told him several times. He's the type when I say no to making out, he cries and guilt trips me. He hates it that I told him not ready for sex.
So basically, like a week ago, he came over to my place and we chilled and had fun. As time went on, we started making out and I reminded him that no sex please and he said OK no problem. Then suddenly I felt him in me. I froze because of the pain and pushed him off. When I asked him why did he do that, he said it was happened already and he said that he realised that I wasn't a virgin and I lied to him.
I felt dirty and used. I didn't know how to respond to that, so I went to shower and the tears couldn't stop. My heart felt like it was breaking. I had clearly, several times told him I don't want sex and I'm not ready for it. He apologised after I came from the shower and I just left him and went to my friend's house. I didn't tell her what happened because I felt like it was my fault. And I still feel the same. I wanted my first time to be special. Till date, I feel hollow and dirty. I feel disgusted with myself.

2024.05.23 15:05 TotallyNotGameWorthy Can't decide between pedals or amp upgrade

So I've been learning the electric guitar by myself for around 2 weeks and stuff has been going pretty well. However, one minor issue I've been experiencing is that my amp seems incapable of producing the classical "rock" tones (distortion/overdrive). I've been using a second hand Roland Micro Cube modelling amp that I got in a deal with the guitar, and switching to a different amp model doesn't seem to have any effect on the tone. Everything sounds "clean". I even tried different pickups and they sound pretty much the same across different amp models.
While I read that modelling amps aren't preferable, I originally convinced myself that a better amp isn't an urgent necessity as I have to focus on my fretting first. However, now that I got that done, I can't tell what I need to improve on because I cannot reproduce the tones that one might expect when listening to the original song. Hence, I've decided to upgrade my gear so I can produce a distorted/overdriven tone.
I've seen a lot of recommendations for Blackstar and Boss Katana amps, but I want to know if I need pedals for distortion/overdrive. Alternatively I could also buy a multi-effect pedal for all my future needs, but I'm not sure if they'll work on my amp, seeing how the different amp models didn't affect the tone one bit. I don't think I have the money to buy both an amp and a pedal, so I would greatly appreciate it if someone could offer me some advice!

2024.05.23 15:04 Boring_Waltz_9545 Weekly New Musical Grosses Analysis- Week Ending 5/19/2024

Source- Broadway Grosses, Broadway Box Office - 5/19/2024 (broadwayworld.com)
T-MINUS 26 DAYS TO TONYS.
They're finally here! After a 24-hour delay (and another 16 on my end), last week's grosses have been released. Broadway closed out it's 2023-2024 season on a high, posting $36 million in total grosses. This was the final week for Lempicka, and they posted their strongest grosses in their final week. Tony nominations have taken effect, with all Best Musical nominated shows in the black. As always, I have put the weekly operating cost (where known, and a rough estimation if not), and an estimated profit or loss for the week. I do not have all of the information for every (most) shows, but if you have access to information about shows and would like to share it with me, please do!
My methodology for estimating profit (or loss) is as follows:
  1. Subtract 16% from grosses. This is credit card fees, as well as the cut that the theater owners take off the top of the grosses, in addition to charging a flat rent. The weekly operating cost is usually the fixed cost for the production, which does not account for this cut%. If you get a chance to look at a show's offering papers, this number is the Net Operating Profit.
  2. Compare that new number to the weekly operating cost, if it's lower, subtract weekly minimum guarantees, and record the difference as the loss for that week. If the reserve is known for a show, I will record that as well.
  3. If it made money, subtract either 20% or 30% for royalties (after subtracting WMGs),
If an awarding body is not listed, that show was not nominated by that group
Grosses (chronological order from opening)-
Back to the Future: The Musical - $930k gross, 81% capacity, $96 atp (Up ~$57k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $781k; Weekly Operating Cost: $815k/week; Estimated profit (loss): (58k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Outer Critics Circle (5), Tonys (2)
Another lackluster week for Back to the Future. No major Tony nominations, an upcoming tour which could be discouraging tourists. Three loosing weeks in a row is bad news for any show, they've had mostly strong grosses thus far, hopefully they can rebound.
Merrily We Roll Along - $1.5 million gross, 100% capacity, $204 atp (Up ~64k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.329 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $800k/week; Estimated profit (loss): $302k
2024 Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (5\), Tonys (7*)*
Award Wins: 2023 Outer Critic Circle (2), Drama League (2\)*
Hot ticket does hot ticket things. This production has already recouped, anything else is just icing on the cake. It has profited a total of nearly $1 million by my estimates. Congratulation to the production team for winning the Drama League award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical, as well as Maria Friedman for winning Outstanding Direction.
The Notebook- $784k gross, 89% capacity, $108 atp (Down ~$2k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: 659k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $620k/week; Estimated profit (loss): $11k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama Desk (2), Tonys (3)*
Notebook holds steady after its rebound last week. Hopefully the press push they're doing right now will help them.

Water for Elephants continues to chug along. It's posted essentially the same grosses the last three weeks, and this is a good place for it to stick around at. Congratulations to them for winning the Chita Rivera Award for Outstanding Choreography, and Antoine Boissereau for Outstanding Dancer.

Excellent week for Outsiders. Expect these grosses to hold for a while. Congratulations Tilly Evans-Krueger for winning the Chita River award for Outstanding Dancer.
Lempicka - $588k gross, 96% capacity, $72 atp (Up ~$168k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $494k; Weekly Operating Cost: ~$660k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($180k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Tonys (3)*
Lempicka closes up, though it still has not made any money, and took another six-figure loss this week. Hopefully this show can get reworked a la Merrily in a few years, because the bones of the show are there.
Suffs - $820k gross, 92% capacity, $113 atp (Up ~$17k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $688k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$640k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $17k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (4\), Outer Critics Circle (5*), Drama Desk (8), Tonys (6*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (3\)*
They're holding strong since getting the Tony nominations.
Hell's Kitchen - $1.5 million gross, 100% capacity, $132 atp (Up ~$53k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.308 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: ~$800k-$850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $306k-$343k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (3\), Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama Desk (5), Tonys (13*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1), Drama League (1\), Chita Rivera (1)*
And this is what being the leading Tony nominee as well as having a massive IP will do. Congratulations to the production for winning the Drama League award for Outstanding Musical, as well as the Chita Rivera award for Outstanding Choreography. From what I've heard this show is making the strongest Tony push so far as well.
Heart of Rock and Roll - $287k gross, 61% capacity, $55 atp (Down ~$31k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $241k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $650k; Estimated Profit (Loss): ($433k)
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Drama Desk (1)*
It keeps sliding more and more, see the show, support the cast. Apparently, this is financed through June, and I'm always happy to see people keeping their jobs.
The Great Gatsby - $1.2 million gross, 97% capacity, $109 atp (Up $99k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.074 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $800k-850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $149k-$187k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1), Outer Critics Circle (4\), Drama Desk (1), Tonys (1)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (2)
This show is the current leader in the Broadway World fan awards in almost every category. They're going to be just fine with this cast, posting their best week yet.
The Wiz - $1.4 million gross, 95% capacity, $122 atp (Down ~$70k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.257 million; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $800k-$850k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): $267k-$302k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (2\)*
The Wiz got no Tony nominations, but they don't need them. This show will be just fine on the Broadway stop of their tour. Their contract includes a potential extension through January, and I think they're likely to pick that up.
Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club - $1.9 million gross, 99% capacity, $229 atp (Down ~$44k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $1.650 million; Weekly Operating Cost: $974k/week; Estimated Profit (Loss): 438k; Reserves Remaining: $2.2 million
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (5\), Outer Critics Circle (2*), Drama Desk (5*), Tonys (9*)*
I mourn the loss of accessible theater with this Cabaret revival. That said, glad to see it's doing well. This show also has some really strong advance ticket sales so it should continue to be just fine.
Illinoise - $816k gross, 90% capacity, $96 atp (Up ~$136k from last week)
Gross Less-Fees: $685k; Estimated Weekly Operating Cost: $625k; Estimated Profit (Loss): $33k
Award Nominations Roundup: Drama League (1\), Outer Critics Circle (6*), Drama Desk (4*), Tonys (4*)*
Award Wins: Outer Critics Circle (1), Chita Rivera (1)
This was the first week in the black for Illinoise, but still from a purely financial perspective, not sure if this gamble is going to pay off (it needs to average 1.05 mil to recoup, even with a Tony win that's unlikely), but it will likely play through its run, especially if it wins some Tonys. Congratulations to the ensemble for winning the Chita Rivera award for Outstanding Ensemble.

2024.05.23 15:04 Professional-Roll283 Gf has low libido, I may break up with her

Im a 20M and she’s 21F. We’ve been together three months but rarely have had sex, she has a low sex drive. I can count the number of times we’ve had sex on two hands. I feel like I’m always the one initiating and I feel so guilty doing it. We’ve had this discussion about sex drive and I clearly have the higher sex drive. We also currently live together.
A lot of the time she says she’s “not in the mood” and I say it’s fine, no pressure, I don’t want to force you to do anything and we can just cuddle. I told her intimacy is very important to me in a relationship and having sex makes me feel desired and loved. I asked her about her previous sexual experiences and she said with her exes that she had a high libido then and had sex almost daily. Now she says she sees sex “not particularly with me” as a distraction. That shit hurt my heart….
It’s weird to me because I was the first man to ever make her orgasm and she says she really enjoyed having sex with me. Now I’m feeling insecure. I feel like I’m not desired enough and when I told her to elaborate further on her past she didn’t reveal that much information.
I like this girl and think we could be in a long term relationship but I don’t know if this sexually incompatibility will be solved. I simply cannot go more than 3 days without sex if I’m in a relationship, I don’t know if I should leave because I know it would break her heart because I know she loves me in other ways. But If the situation doesn’t improve I’m going to have to.

2024.05.23 15:04 LadyVenenia Baby blanket (how to join and other annoyances)

Baby blanket (how to join and other annoyances)
Well, here I go again. I'm working on a new baby blanket, went for a design by Designer Snail (if I do remember that correctly). I really liked it, it has a vintage feel, and it's helping me using the yarn I had left from the previous project. Which is amazing.
Now, to the issue. I'm joining tiles that are both octagon and diamond shaped. I'm still trying to figure out how to join them, whether to use a contrast colour or something that is closer to the background of the tiles, if I should use a stitch that is visible or invisible. You get the gist.
Bonus. I might run out of the background colour sooner than I thought, so I'm slowing down on the octagons. I'll try to find the exact same colour, but I'm not too optimistic about that. So, what I was thinking is, if I find something that is exactly the same, then great; if I don't, maybe I can use the octagons that are slightly different to build up the border. Does it make sense?
Anyways, pics to show what I'm planning to make, some pics of the tiles, and my first attempt to visualise the end result.
Shout-out to those of you that last time suggested me to weave in the ends WHILE I'm working and avoid crying later lol

2024.05.23 15:04 emperor_jelly_king Seat Rework Suggestions

Seat Rework Suggestions
Working on my first build. Hand painting the front seats and my masking tape was a little weak around the seams of the seats in a couple places. What do you all think could work as a possible rework to fix the red overrun? Thought about maybe getting a really small piece of sand paper. Not sure if I am open to stripping the whole thing but I would consider it. Worse comes to worse I will just go with the basic bench seat that came with the kit. These were a custom option that was included.

2024.05.23 15:04 ColonelCasperKY Was this a vision into my TFs life and current situation or am I going crazy?

So when I reached out to him back in December it was the first time we've talked in a few years after working together 12 years ago. I had honestly long detached but something told me to reach out. He responded quickly, said he had just been thinking of me, gave me his number but every time I called or texted he wouldn't respond and when he did respond it was quick, short and I got the feeling that he was going through something. We've been blocking and unblocking each other for 5 months now, every time I do it or send him a nasty message I feel immediate remorse, it's like neither one of us can let go. I started going down the TF rabbit hole and realized what this was and I'm pretty sure he manifested me in a call for help. I got the feeling that he's been having issues with his girlfriend. I keep hearing his voice say "Please give me time, I'm sorry, I'm coming I swear, just please don't give up on me."
Well this morning I woke up and saw a vision of him with his girlfriend and the man she was cheating on him with and they were just going at it, to the point I thought something serious was about to go down. When it was over I looked at the clock and it said 5:55. I told him a couple weeks ago that it was getting too intense and I was cutting the cord before later changing my mind. I told him I thought we were spiritual twins and I didn't feel comfortable telling him everything and for him to look it up, that was the first time he reacted with a heart emoji but he never said anything after that and I've been giving him space to process it, but honestly I want to move on. So my question is not whether or not he knows we're twins, I think he knows something is up but can't explain it, but was this a true telepathic vision into his world or am I just imagining things?
I will say I went to get some breakfast and saw the odometer read 7667 which means either a beginning or ending according to Google but the temp said it was 67 degrees outside and where it's located on my car, the 67 was right above the 67 on the odometer and so I took it as a 6767 number. I'm not an expert, what do you think?
