2024.06.04 22:01 Green_Front_4223 I could cry… my birth control story (advice desperately wanted)

19F - heavy period after Nexplanon
Hi! Thanks in advance for reading.
I am F19, white, about 5’3 and 120-130 pounds. I have no diagnoses besides anemia (got iron infusion for a year ago) as well as suspected endometriosis. Also suspected IBS.
I take 50mg sertraline for anxiety following a traumatic event.
In Sept of last year, I went on Nexplanon as I was in a new relationship. It caused around 100 days of straight bleeding, as well as extreme cramps, ultra heavy (1 tampon/ pad every hour, literally was considering adult diapers) bleeding, nausea, brain fog, heart palpitations and fatigue. I’m not a lazy person, I have 2 part time jobs and am in school, but I was SO tired.
I finally got the implant out in February. I then went on the Evra patch which went well until about a month ago. Since May 8th, I’ve had nonstop bleeding and cramps again. Most of the blood is black, which I understand can be old blood, but it’s been that way for a month. Occasionally ‘new’ blood gushes out of me. I am nauseous and my stomach is upset more frequently. You might be thinking— you’re pregnant. I am not, I took two tests and have not been sexually active for some time bc of this insane bleeding. I also don’t have any stds. I have also never been pregnant or had kids, my partner and I use condoms as well. I didn’t experience any physical trauma or surgery during this time or ever.
At this point, I am so crampy, irritable and frustrated. I don’t know what birth control to take next. I can’t do IUDs, and I worry that the pill will be just like the patch and lead to endless bleeding. Is there something wrong with me? I’m sorry if I sound crazy. I know birth control works well for most people but i’m beginning to think I’m just screwed up.
I’m in so much pain and I could just cry. I thought my teen/ years were supposed to be enjoyable but it’s just cramps. Why am I bleeding black blood for weeks on end??? :(

2024.06.04 21:59 mango_demineur What can I do to fight this?

I rented an apartment and moved out late last year. This past month I received an email from a debt collection company asking for money with interest that I owe the apartment complex. When I went back to see them they gave me a final bill (first time I was presented this document). In that final bill they charged me $963 for carpet cleaning fees.
1) When I was moving out they didn't want to do the walkthrough with just me because I wasn't present with the other person on the lease.
2) We gave them keys separately and both had to sign on the day that we gave them the keys but they couldn't do the walkthrough with just one of us. They said they'd email the inspection if they found anything to let us know. Confident in the apartment conditions I was okay with that.
3) No email ever came charging us anything.
4) I am confident that I didn't cause any damage besides normal wear and tear for the year I leased the apartment.
How can I fight this?

2024.06.04 21:58 humpstyles AG Boot Confusion

Hi, generally new to the sub, doing a lot of research over the past few weeks, in the market to get some new cleats to be used 95% on AG fields, replacing 3 year old Nemeziz.1’s.
My confusion comes from the research i’ve done here - I notice the wide majority of members here suggesting to never wear FG boots on an AG field; however, how come if I go to Adidas’ website and click on Predators, do they literally not even have an AG version available to purchase?
I have checked numerous websites and shops in-person and it feels like there are hardly any AG boots available to purchase.
I guess what I mean to say is that the availability of AG boots seems to pale in comparison to how sworn some posters here seem to be - as if they are absolutely mandatory to use on an AG pitch.
Any insight to the above would be lovely!
signed, guy who probably wants to buy a pair of AG somehow.

2024.06.04 21:58 Syzygy_of_Stars22 Rummy with Hanafuda?

Rummy with Hanafuda?
Hey,
I am relatively new to both Hanafuda and Rummy, though I know the basics of both. Usually, I play Hanafuda alone since none of my friends or family members are interested in learning and playing the game. One day, I was playing Hanafuda and then played a round of Rummy online. Suddenly, it occurred to me: why not play Rummy with my Hanafuda cards? (I don't have French-suited playing cards at home.)
So, I devised a method, and it kind of worked out. I am summarizing it below:
  1. Deal the cards according to the usual Rummy rules. For two players, each is assigned ten cards, which are kept hidden from the opponent.
  2. The discard pile is set up by drawing a card from the undealt pack. Then, each player draws a card from the undealt pack and discards one from their collection into the discard pile.
  3. In traditional Rummy, the aim is to create a set or a run. Here, you could do the same, with a run signifying cards of the same month (similar to suits) and a set being cards with the same point value, like bright cards, animal cards, plain cards, and scroll cards. However, since point value melds are challenging for me, we can omit that part.
  4. Other rules remain the same as in basic Rummy.
I played a round myself and managed to make a couple of runs, though I didn't manage to incorporate the concept of "creating sets," which is essential in major Hanafuda games like Koi-Koi. However, considering Hanafuda solitaire, my idea doesn't seem too bad. Maybe, in addition to the usual melds, there could be a bonus meld for combination sets?
It would be great if some community members could comment on this and help devise a better way. I am uploading pictures of my played games and explaining them as much as possible.
1st Photo: It is the first round of "Rummy" Hanafuda I played. In the left hand side of the image, we have the melds (runs) of Player 1, which include Willow, Peony, Maple, and Cherry Blossom. Player 1 ended the game by creating the Cherry Blossom meld, while Player 2 only managed to make the Pine run.
2nd Photo: I started a new game to take step-by-step pictures of the process. Here I have just dealt the cards.
3rd Photo: Player 1 has made a Pine and Silver Grass run, while Player 2 has managed to a make a Chrysanthemum run.
4th Photo: Player 2 wins!
So yeah, this was the basic post. I think the most important aspect of card games is not about winning but having fun. The rules, no matter how unconventional they might seem, can make the game even more enjoyable. Please go ahead and comment on this post to add your suggestions. Thanks!

2024.06.04 21:57 ExplorerBlaze64 Hello, I’m new to building PCs I’m trying to build my next gaming PC with this case but I need a lot of help and pointers on what to do.

Hello, I’m new to building PCs I’m trying to build my next gaming PC with this case but I need a lot of help and pointers on what to do.
Even though the plan is to buy all the parts as I go the general budget is $1500 to $1600
Currently I’m planning on going with
All white build using:
Ryzen 7 7700X or Ryzen 7800X3D Radeon RX 7700XT or Radeon RX 7800XT (depending on how part prices go throughout the year or if I just magically find great deals) GIGABYTE B650E AORUS Elite 2x 16 GB 5200 CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 TEAMGROUP T-Force G50 2TB
So the case I’m showing above comes with fans but are they good enough to cool everything off? Or would I be better off charging them out for something else with maybe some RGB. I’m new to PC building and don’t know what’s good for air flow. Would it be overkill for me to just throw in 10 fans? (3 intake fans on the front, 3 intake fans on the bottom, 3 exhaust fans on the top and 1 exhaust fan on the bottom)
I’m open to suggestions or possible changes to these parts but I’m generally betting prices changing all the time meaning I could end up squeezing more power. Do note I want to keep this to an all AMD build. You guys can also suggest a better case than this one.
(Also yes I’m aware I haven’t listed a CPU cooler yet but that’s because I really don’t know what’s good there) I don’t plan to use liquid cooling.

2024.06.04 21:56 CrystalSecret Looking for an old phim bo / costume drama that is not popular enough to appear in searches

I know that this is not a TipofMyTongue subreddit but I think you all are my only hope.
I am looking for an Asian Costume Drama/Wuxiaish around 1980s - 2000s. It is about a Taoist with a Monkey Boy his estranged brother. And it is not Journey to the West. I watched it dubbed in Vietnamese on a VHS from one of those corner stores in the States.
This has been eating me for a couple of years. Every time I do a search for anything I remember about this show, absolutely nothing shows up. The version I’ve seen was dubbed in Vietnamese and I don’t think it was TVB. The actors looked a bit different than the usual casts. So NOT Tony Leung or Kitty Lai or anyone traditionally famous
The show starts out with a Taoist Martial artist possibly from Wudang. He happens upon a dead gorilla or something and a small monkey boy. He ends up adopting and hiding the monkey boy away and feeding him bananas in some cave while teaching him words and such. After a while, his fellow disciples find out about him and try to force him to give up the monkey boy. Instead, he runs away with him.
At some point, in the beginning, they imprison the Taoist and he learns martial arts from a cave wall. His sect accuses him of sneaking around and stealing the martial arts after he saves them. Instead of running away, he might have been exiled. Not sure. The Taoist learns the ability to make his arms really long.
The next bit is a little hazy. The man and the boy go on a journey and I think the man gets injured in a fight. They seek out this famous healer in the mountains and the Taoist leaves the monkey boy in their care. The healer guy has a daughter who doesn’t like the monkey boy who has at this point, matured and become 18ish in age. Then one day, they’re like teasing each other and a giant pot of boiling water gets dumped on him. He’s then shown in a comical full-body cast.
The daughter feels guilty as hell so she asks what they can do. The healer old man tells his daughter that holding a pill up in the sunlight on a hill for like 3 days straight without dropping it or setting it down (as a virgin girl) will produce medicine that will save the monkey boy’s life. She goes and does it but on her way back, she drops it. She’s scared it might not work but when she brings it back, the healer guy eats it and says that it’s too late anyway. Later, it’s revealed that the monkey boy was a handsome guy covered in fur all along.
Some stuff happens, the Taoist guy has a sword and trains to fight some crossdressing(?) guy whose weapon is to get really long nails. This bad guy has a protege who also has similar abilities - and their style of martial arts relies on them being effeminate. It turns out this protege and the former monkey boy are brothers. They find this out because the monkey boy uses leeches to give him a blood transfusion. The healer guy tells them that if they didn’t have the same blood type, he’d die.
Some other stuff happens and the two brothers eventually team up to kill the big bad guy. The long nail brother goes off at the end of the fight. He later comes back after the grown monkey boy and the healer’s daughter have a son and steals him. The show ends completely there.
The theme song was pretty unique too. I don’t remember much of it, but it went something like:
“Wei Shenmo~ Wei Senmo~ somethingsomethingsomething somethingsomething~ er yi”
Hopefully, someone somewhere has seen this. I’ve even looked through pages and pages of unfiltered bootleg DVDs for sale online to no avail.
I also made some rudimentary drawings: https://imgur.com/a/healer-mountain-wuxia-Jdx8EJw
Thank you for helping!

2024.06.04 21:56 hashflip Mayorship what to focus on- Input Appreciated

So right now my goal is to become mayor of more towns, specifically towns that are likely to have badges bought at. I am currently the mayor of my small hometown, with a population of 8,000. There is no tourism appeal and haven’t had any badges purchased yet.
My next goal is to either become mayor of my local city, and also the capital of my state. Or to become mayor of another town in my state with massive tourism potential. I’ve provided some stats below about each town and wondering which you guys think would be more beneficial to aim for in the immediate time?
Town #1: Capital of my state, population 100,000, most recent yearly tourists 431,653, just over 300 parcels to become mayor.
Town #2: population 3,400, most recent yearly tourists, average yearly tourists 3,000,000, just over 20 parcels to become mayor.
I am also at about 70 parcels currently, so I would not be able to become mayor of Town #1 without my first tier jump. Thoughts and opinions?

2024.06.04 21:56 RainCritical1776 Looking for most simplified Stirling engine type, and the name of one an open cycle engine type I have been trying to find.

So I was looking at the pre-industrialization period and that outside of industrialized areas it was very difficult to build complex devices. My interest pivoted to two things: 1. What was the very simplest and absolutely easiest Striling engine that could be built with no reliance on manufacturing centers and 2. What was the simplest open cycle hot air engine that could be built. The level of simplicity being that the guy on this island on Cast Away could build one.
A Quest for the Simplest Stirling Engine
Interestingly enough the simplest Stirling Engine I have found was a rotary one. It is conceptually simple but more difficult to manufacture. I found some interesting beta and gama Stirling Engines used to very early on to ventilate mines. The other engine I found was a strange engine made of flexible free piston bladder chambers, and another fluidyne engine which is very easy to build but seems to offer very low power and can only largely be used to pump water. I suppose one could make a floating pseudopiston for the water in the second elbow and use that to drive a wheel. Energy in the fluidyne leaks through the liquid, so it seems like it would have abysmal efficiency and utility.
What is the simplest easiest to construct Stirling Engine that could have any practical utility at all? Could it be maintained easily? I don't really expect such an engine to have commercial applications, but still would be a useful and or fun thing to be able to build without custom or 3D printed parts.
Open Engines
One engine someone told me about, and I read about it somewhere it consisted of a vertical piston, the bottom of its cylinder was heated, and near the top of the piston cylinder was a large exhaust hole.
The piston would be pushed out by the heat expanding the air, and as the piston passed the exhaust hole in the cylinder the hot air behind the piston would escape and cooler air would be sucked in from the atmosphere as the flywheel drove the piston back down past the hole into its cylinder heating and compressing the gas at the same time in the hot end of the cylinder. This gas would then expand driving the piston back up again completing this cycle.
This is essentially one half of a (imperfect) carnot cycle, allowing the heated gas to push the piston out, but then instead of cooling it or moving it around with a displacer, it is just exhausted. This engine could not have had an efficiency over 20% (probably less). It is not a manson engine, but it seems to share similar features and principle operation. I was told this very simple engine was used to run fans to ventilate mines or occasionally to pump water. Has anyone here heard of this engine? Do you know what it was called? Do you know anything more about it?
This engine is not super efficient or elegant, the only that that is interesting is its severe simplicity. I have never seen an engine (except CO2 motors) that have only one piston and one flywheel and no displacer (like the beta type Stirling Engines have one cylinder but also a displacer).

2024.06.04 21:56 Boxxy-Lady Stupid Stuff my-totally not a racist-Bossman says part 1

Stupid Sh*t my-totally not a racist- Boomer Boss says, Part 1
Gen Xer here, identify as a Xennial. Live in bum fucked red neck/red voting town/county/state in a small, customer facing office. No color in this town, except the "illegals". Man, can those illegals work! another small thing he and Bad CW, now forth called BCW, has said. Do not confuse BCW with GCW (good coworker). BCW is an older Gen X, GCW is an older Millennial, possibly considered a young Xennial. I'm sure I'll be posting more parts over the months, just kinda using this to 1) entertain & 2) document.
I've been here 17 years. Obama years were fun. BBM (Boomer Bossman) jokingly threatened my job if I voted for O. Still voted for him. Fuck that noise.
But onto the stupid thing he said yesterday. I was on the phone, so I only caught part of the comment MADE TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER. The jist of it was, the black people in Major Metropolitan City in my state don't license their vehicles because they're criminals, and the rest of us have to pay for the lost revenue. I.SHIT.YOU.NOT.
In case you're wondering, yes, BCW & BBM both voted Trump. BCW is not Bad due to her vote for Trump, but due to the fact that the bitch DELIBERTLY gave me covid 2 years ago, when I'm on immunosuppressing drugs due to chronic health conditions. And she came to work knowing she had been exposed by holding her baby grandson covid carrier all weekend, then got all butthurt when I was pissed she refused to go to work. BBM response? It was my fault, I shoulda wfh. Joke was on them. I ended up refusing to come into work the following week (was negative by Wednesday, but had Friday of that week off already planned) but this was the week leading up to a holiday weekend where shit hits the fan every damn year. I wanted her to be fucked over since she fucked me over, and tried to say I gave it to the GS, when I didn't even see the brat. So yes, both BBM & BCW are racist as fuck, homophobic as shit (which is sad since BCW has a gay grandson-ug, WHY does he have to do pda in public-yes, she has said shit like that) and just plain horrible human beings. But the town loves them because 1) town is racist and homophobic as shit and 2) because they're "so nice". Yeah, I know better. BCW has a 30ish year old daughter who moved to Florida to teach, and now she has to leave the teaching profession because she didn't realize how many brown people there are in Florida schools.
I thank the deities that GCW has come along. Along with us having similar ideals, although she is more left than I, it is refreshing to not hear the tinge of racisms in every single comment made about anyone nonwhite in the office. And the only reason I stay here is the pay is decent, and when BBM isn't on one of his typical Boomer shit he's an ok guy, and I have a LOT of freedom that I wouldn't have if I changed. But yes, I am looking. Just being picky. The devil you know, after all.
Oh, I'll leave this final comment BBM said last week. Talking about his kids, who are early 40's, about how if he "wants to yell at them" over something; like advice, that they should just accept it since he is DAD, and if they can't accept that he will do that, then they can not come around. He could tell mid sentence that that thinking was NOT flying with me or GCW.

2024.06.04 21:55 ReasonableRaisin3665 Do i develop crushes too easily?

I'm 19f in university, and im worried that i develop crushes way too easily. The last time i asked somebody out was about 3 weeks ago, one of my close long time friends who i misread their signals, and they said they really appreciate it but theyre a gay man so no. Then again in january, i asked out another girl i liked, she said bless you but no, then she turned out to be not accepting of my trans identity so we stopped being friends. Now there is another girl, we are on the same uni course and ive spoke to her a few times before. Today i was sat in the library i notices she was sat 1 booth away from me, so when i went to leave i went over to say hi. We chatted for a bit then i left, but it was awkward at the end bc when i said bye she started to say something to me then reacted bye as well. But im not sure but i think she might have been nervous as well to talk to me.
So my question is... do i develop crushes too easily?? With these time gaps do you think that it is too soon to be trying to approach someone else. Also, do you think she likes me based on this interaction? Thanks

Part One Here!
Part Two Here!
Part Three Here!
Part Four Here!
Part Five Here!
John Cena is on top of the world, claiming to be the greatest star TNA has ever seen as he enters the building to boos and jeers, his goons by his side. Chain Gang Records is covered in gold. Ron Killings recently defeated Christopher Daniels for the X Championship, following in Cena’s footsteps. John Cena is riding high as NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Jeff Jarrett is hyping up his two clients, claiming no one, NO ONE can stop them. But familiar music interrupts the rest of his message, immediately pissing off the champion.
The tension in the arena reached a boiling point as Jeff Hardy stormed into the ring, his fury palpable as he confronted John Cena, who stood defiantly alongside his cohorts from Chain Gang Records. With the NWA World Heavyweight Championship draped over his shoulder, Cena arrogantly dismissed Hardy's claims and ordered him to step aside. But Hardy refused to back down, his determination unyielding as he challenged Cena's authority and demanded justice for the injustice he suffered at Turning Point. As Chain Gang Records closed in on Hardy, ready to unleash their trademark brutality, the atmosphere grew increasingly volatile.
Suddenly, the arena erupted in shock as AJ Styles made his long-awaited return, charging down the ramp and leaping into action. With his sights set squarely on Cena, Styles wasted no time in unleashing a flurry of strikes, igniting a chaotic brawl that spilled out across the ring. As the pandemonium unfolded, Hardy and Styles found themselves unlikely allies, putting aside their differences to combat the overwhelming numbers advantage of Chain Gang Records. Together, they fought tooth and nail, trading blows with Cena's cohorts and clearing the ring of their presence.
With Chain Gang Records driven from the ring, Hardy and Styles stood side by side, their eyes locked on Cena and the coveted championship he held. In that moment, a new alliance was forged, united by a common goal: to dethrone the self-proclaimed king of TNA and claim championship glory for themselves. As the dust settled and the tension hung thick in the air, Cena found himself facing an uncertain future, with two formidable challengers poised to challenge his reign atop the TNA hierarchy.
The feud between AJ Styles, Jeff Hardy, and NWA World Heavyweight Champion John Cena was a tumultuous rollercoaster ride that gripped the wrestling world with its intensity and drama. It all began with Cena's manipulative tactics and the formation of Chain Gang Records, which quickly became a dominating force in TNA. As Cena basked in the glory of his championship reign, AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy emerged as his fiercest challengers. Neither would stand down, and neither would let the smooth talking Doctor of Thuganomics pit them against each other.
The animosity between the three competitors reached a boiling point as Cena's reign of terror continued unchecked. Styles and Hardy, initially united in their quest to dethrone Cena, found themselves at odds as the allure of the championship intensified. Cena, reveling in his role as the dominant force in TNA, relished in the chaos he had created. With the backing of Chain Gang Records, he seemed almost unstoppable, using his influence and power to manipulate the situation to his advantage at every turn.

Sick of being a victim of Cena and Chain Gang Records, one man steps up when seemingly everyone else is down for the count. Christopher Daniels still feels the burn from losing the X Championship to Ron Killings, and focuses his attention to the head of the snake. NWA World Heavyweight Champion John Cena pokes fun at Daniels’ anger, telling him he isn’t ready for the primetime. But Daniels refuses to step down, defiantly slapping the taste out of Cena’s mouth! In a fit of rage, Cena orchestrates a beatdown on Daniels, leaving him a bloody mess. But Daniels laughs at the blood, saying he’s only just getting started with Cena.
The feud between John Cena and Christopher Daniels intensified as Daniels grew increasingly fed up with the dominance of Chain Gang Records. Determined to put an end to Cena's reign, Daniels fought his way up the ranks, overcoming challenges and obstacles to earn his shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He resorted to desperate measures, seizing the X Division Championship from Ron Killings and using it as a weapon against Daniels. Despite Daniels' valiant efforts to overcome the odds, he was unable to withstand Cena's ruthless assault. Following Final Resolution, new and old challengers emerge, everyone gunning for Cena’s head. Taking the opportunity to take a month off and rest, John lets them fight among themselves, resting on his laurels with Chain Gang Records and watching the chaos unfold in front of them in the coming weeks.
Christopher Daniels, fueled by a burning desire for redemption after being unjustly stripped of the X Championship by Cena and his allies, emerged as a vocal critic of the champion's oppressive regime. With his sights set on toppling Cena and reclaiming his lost glory, Daniels rallied the support of fans and fellow wrestlers alike, vowing to dismantle Chain Gang Records and expose their corrupt tactics.
AJ Styles, a longtime rival of Cena and a former TNA World Heavyweight Champion in his own right, added fuel to the fire with his unwavering determination to reclaim the gold. Unwilling to be sidelined by Cena's underhanded tactics, Styles refused to back down, engaging in a war of words and in-ring battles with both Cena's allies and his fellow contenders.
Meanwhile, Samoa Joe, the enigmatic Samoan Submission Machine, remained a formidable force in the title picture, his dominance in the Super X Cup serving as a testament to his unwavering resolve. With a burning desire to prove himself as the top contender, Joe unleashed his fury on anyone who stood in his path, determined to earn his shot at Cena's championship.
In the weeks leading up to Destination X, tensions between Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, and Samoa Joe escalated as each competitor sought to stake their claim as the rightful challenger to John Cena's NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Their paths intersect in a series of intense confrontations, with Chain Gang Records lurking in the shadows, ready to exert their influence and protect Cena's reign at any cost.
As tensions reached a boiling point, TNA management announced that Daniels, Styles, and Joe would compete in an Ultimate X match at Destination X, with the winner earning the coveted opportunity to challenge Cena for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. The stage was set for an epic showdown, with the fate of the title hanging in the balance.

Daniels showcased his unparalleled aerial prowess, executing jaw-dropping maneuvers and daring dives in his quest to seize the championship suspended above the ring. Styles, known for his lightning-fast strikes and innovative offense, countered with his trademark agility and resilience, refusing to be grounded by his opponents' attacks.
Meanwhile, Joe unleashed his trademark brutality, punishing his adversaries with bone-crushing strikes and punishing submissions as he sought to impose his will on the match. With the title tantalizingly close overhead, each competitor fought tooth and nail, determined to emerge victorious and secure their place as the next challenger to Cena's throne.
As the match reached its climax, chaos ensued as Chain Gang Records attempted to intervene, their interference threatening to tip the scales in Cena's favor. However, Daniels, Styles, and Joe refused to be swayed, banding together to combat the outside interference and keep their focus on the ultimate prize. In a heart-stopping moment of triumph, Joe managed to overcome the odds and ascend the ropes, reaching out to grasp the X and secure his victory in the Ultimate X match. Joe has a golden ticket he can use at any time, and he loves it. Cena feels a shiver down his spine as he realizes the one man he cannot solve is hot on his trail. With the fate of the title hanging in the balance and the rivalry between Chain Gang Records and their challengers reaching a fever pitch, the battle for supremacy in TNA was far from over.
With Samoa Joe looming in the shadows, John Cena's once unshakeable confidence begins to waver. Despite having the formidable force of Chain Gang Records at his side, Cena can't shake the feeling of impending doom that Joe's victory at Destination X has brought upon him. As weeks pass with no sign of Joe, Cena finds himself consumed by paranoia, constantly looking over his shoulder and second-guessing every move he makes. The absence of his challenger only serves to heighten Cena's anxiety, as he knows that Joe could strike at any moment, thanks to his guaranteed title shot.
Unable to focus on anything else, Cena becomes increasingly obsessed with Joe's looming presence, neglecting his duties as champion and allowing cracks to form within Chain Gang Records. The once united faction begins to fray at the edges, with Jeff Jarrett and Ron Killings questioning Cena's leadership and the wisdom of aligning themselves with such a volatile champion. Meanwhile, TNA management capitalizes on the chaos, forcing Cena to focus on the other men he’s been pissing off with his arrogance and interference. Styles and Daniels defeat Steiner and Jarrett for the NWA World Tag Team Championship, finally winning gold and knocking Chain Gang Records down a peg. Jeff Hardy defeats Ron Killings for the X Championship, helping add to the tension and help turn the tide against Cena’s regime. With the momentum in their favor, Styles throws out the challenge for the most menacing match in TNA history: Lethal Lockdown. Cena accepts, desperate to put the months-long saga to rest.

2024.06.04 21:55 Fear_Galactus Ashley Madison Netflix Series

Episode 1
I'll be honest, I thought it was going to be worse. I remember the hack, 2 years before DDay, and wondering if I should check my wife's email as a possible subscriber. I remember in 2013 when I really felt like shit was off, and I remember thinking that if there was a time to have an affair it'd be now. I was traveling a lot, grandma would take our (at the time) only daughter for a week at a time. But I always told myself, as long as I don't cheat, our marriage is good. So I didn't checked when the hack went public. When I did end up checking years later, she wasn't on there, thankfully, but I remember being so disgusted with all of this. I couldn't imagine the people who ran the website. And now we have this docu-series, and now I know what type of people run these companies.
I suppose "spoilers" are in order for anyone who plans on watching it and doesn't want to know specifics, so from here on, I'll go into it.
The first episode is broken down into basically two story lines, the first, how the company was built, the players who helped build it and the business theory behind it. The second, the people who used it. Admittedly, there wasn't as many triggering issues throughout this episode, but what was interesting was that everyone was basically asked the same version of the question: What if it happened to you?
The responses were interesting. Most of the workers responded with the fact that they are monogamous, but would understand if their partner cheated...or wouldn't judge them if they happened to have an affair. One guy specifically said that he believed that cheaters fell into 2 categories, 1) the selfish, narcist who does it because they want to OR 2) the person who comes from a broken marriage and therefore cheats for their own well-being.
The other interesting part was the CEO going on record saying that affairs could help a marriage, while the footage is a bit choppy, the thought is that two people who are independently happy, will produce a happier marriage because there's no resentment. This of course, completely overlooks how a betrayal can destroy a person, let alone the marriage.
Overall, Episode one seems like a build up, with very little explored, very little shared and with no real surprised, very little understanding of the complete destruction they participated in. You can already see the justifications being created because they know morally what they built, what they participated in, what they wanted was wrong. We'll see what Episode 2 brings.
