i don't understand why I can't just be happy. i have a partner and i have friends, those are things many people don't have. but whenever my partner travels i feel achingly lonely. i notice that with everyone in my life i'm the person who reaches out 90% of the time. it used to be more even, maybe 70% my initiation, until friends got busy with work and their partners, and my partner isn't as proactively responsive when traveling. i set up plans with my friends to distract myself but as soon as they leave i'm lonely again. i can't stop crying and it got to the point where i started slapping my legs hard enough to bruise. i feel like i have no one to talk to, i tried talking to my partner about it but they said they can't be there for me all the time. i'm not asking for all the time, i just wish someone, anyone cared enough to comfort me when i'm crying and breaking down, which generally happens once every few months when i hit a breaking point of loneliness and self-hatred, or when i feel like someone has been very inconsiderate towards me and doesn't care about trying to be considere towards me. this month it's happened twice though because of an incident that felt extremely inconsiderate towards me earlier this month. i know it's exhausting and an emotional burden comforing someone who's going through it. i know this as someone who is frequently there to comfort others even when i'm also hurt and exhausted. but it just feels so unfair to me that i'm willing to drop everything for someone in crisis, especially a close friend or partner, and no one does the same for me. ii feel like i have to keep my happy sunny disposition around my friends so i don't burden them. they're going through enough in their own lives and don't need to hear how much i'm suffering. i don't want me being lonely to make them feel like they're not good enough. but i was hoping my partner would at least understand that it's okay to express these hurt emotions between us since my partner has also expressed hurt feelings to me and i've comforted them through it without taking it personally. but the response i got was that they needed alone time and couldn't always be there for me. i guess my expectations of a partner always being there for me and putting my feelings first when i'm in crisis are unrealistic, even though that's something i always do. i'm not important enough to anyone for them to consider my feelings. and who would want to be there for me anyways, i'm a worthless fat fuck who can't make positive long-term change in their life no matter how hard they try. my motivation to do anything but scroll on my phone dwindles every day. i can't muster up the strength and motivation for hobbies anymore unless with friends. i'm a shell of a human who only matters when other people are in the room. i can't even do the things i enjoy anymore, let alone things that would be good for me like workinf out or learning other helpful life skills. i guess i always support others but am not there to support myself and that's whay makes me a shell of a human. i'm just going through life surviving but i don't feel like i'm here. i'm just typing this into the void in case anyone feels the way i do so i'll know i'm not alone. also as a disclaimer i have no intention or desire to kms because of how it would affect my loved ones. i of course intrusively wonder if they would miss me or wish they prioritized me more if i did pass, but it's only in passing and not something i would ever carry out. if you've read this far i commend and thank you. hope you have a nice day

F20, I've seen doctors over this in 2 countries and unfortunately always had a negative experience to the point that I avoid going altogether from pure terror.
It first started in 2017, I got a headache one day that resulted in one of the worst weeks of my life. My head hurt like someone was squeezing it together, everything was spinning, I physically couldn't stand looking at a screen or book, and had nausea that prevented me from eating much. This went on for a full week, I only took paracetamol and the doctors couldn't tell me what was wrong despite doing some tests. I had to take the full week off from school and laid in bed all day long. After a week the dizziness and nausea were gone and the headache calmed down a lot, but I still felt fragile and eventually it disappeared and I moved on in life except for one concerning part, ever since that week, I can no longer lay on the back of my head for long because it hurts. I have genuinely not spent more than 5 minutes at once laying with my head on the pillow, I also cant rest it against a wall or airplane seat, etc because it hurts. Been a side sleeper since.
Since then, I've had the migraine return about 3 times, but not with as much nausea and barely any dizziness as the first time. The last time was different because I had intense upper back pain, neck pain and a headache, it lasted for a full month. This was in August 2022. My head and neck are generally fine except for some light pressure in my head every now and then when I sleep bad, but my upper back hurts. Not enough to keep me from carrying out my daily tasks, but it hurts when I lean against my bed for too long or I put all my weight against a chair, car seat, plane, etc. I did see a doctor for it but she told me that it's because I'm underweight (168cm, 48kg) and don't have enough fat on my back to protect my bones, but I've always been underweight, weighing even less in the past and never had an issue resting my back against something until I got the pain in that August.
I'm quite literally shaking typing this out because I'm honestly terrified of doctors and hospitals in general and I'm scared of being told I have cancer or some kind of injury that will make me lose the ability to walk or something, but I discovered this sub and hoped maybe someone was kind enough to explain what is going on and how I can stop it. So I've been struggling with a huge faith crisis for some time, and it has recently become so unbearable that I decided to share it, hoping that people more experienced than me will be able to give me some advice. And I realize that this is a very difficult matter, so I will also definitely contact my priest.
I think the title explains it a little - I basically don't know how to keep believing. To clarify the background more, which probably has a lot of meaning: I am 17 years old and have been a raging atheist for practically my entire life. I was very involved and loud with my non-belief. I was living in a bubble, surrounded myself with atheist content all the time: I read books “exposing” the church and Christianity and spent time watching anti-theistic videos on youtube. I don't know why I was like that, but I know I'm ashamed of it. But I have this feeling that all this somehow “stained” me and set me up for a line of thinking that I can't get rid of.
So since I converted, I thought that nothing could really make me doubt, but I've spent the last month thinking if I ever believed in God at all. Or I just decided to become a Christian, just because it gave me a certain pattern of how I should live, and I felt safe. So sometimes I am crushed by complete despair, because it is possible that my nightmare is coming true - I was right my entire life, and I am actually alone. But sometimes it also feels like God has abandoned me. He is in fact real and all Christians know a path to Him - except me, of course. And it also happens that I have terribly stupid thoughts such as: how do I actually know that I have chosen the right religion? I mean, Christianity, seems to be very much true, but of course that's what every follower of a religion (no matter what kind) thinks so. These last thoughts are not so common, and I think they originate from the second example. This second type of thought appears quite often, but it is, however, the one I mentioned first that appears most frequently. And constant fear is certainly not what Christianity is.
I also want to add that my father is involved in witchcraft, and he's not too happy about the fact that I'm a Christian (if I can even continue to call myself that) and I don't know much about what he's doing behind my back. Well, and I probably won't find out. But I also took it into consideration.
I don't expect much, it's probably a matter to be resolved with my priest, however, I would be grateful if someone would like to at least pray for me, because lately I don't really even have the strength to do it for myself. I'm just so lost and I don't know what's happening.

Background

My last of four contests in a 6 week span. This was also the first drug tested qualification for the world championships in the US. I want to support this type of competition, which is why I signed up months ago when it came up. Funnily enough, I was technically a heavyweight for this as that's what the 231lbs weight class is called in this federation.

Training

Training for this was basically just depending on carryover from the previous training. I did very little in the two week intermission because I was mentally and physically exhausted. I literally did arm-over-arm training once and that was because I joined my wife when she was training it. I did do some deadlifts, 505lbs for 3 reps, and that was the heaviest weight I touched. I tried stones once, but I had issues with tacky and grip, causing me to just give up. At this point, I was just surviving until the contest.

Contest

There were about 50 people signed up although a few didn't show up. Either way, there were a decent amount of people, especially in the super heavyweight class. There were only 4 of us in "heavyweight" (I still can't get used to calling 231s heavyweights, so I'm just going to stick with using the numbers). I did look up two of them on Instagram, and I knew they were going to be quite strong. A 198lb competitor moved up to 231s and someone dropped out, so we did not have a net loss in my weight class. It was a one day contest (that ended up being super long), and it basically rained off and on all day.
Max Log Clean and Press
This was a last-man standing style event with no limits on how many jumps you could take. There were two more events like this during the day, which is why the contest took so long. The mats were a fairly wet and slippery initially, so I took some really early jumps. Plus, I used those as warm-ups. I started push pressing to make sure I didn't zero. However, because there were so many people taking the weights and because the rain stopped, the mats started drying off fairly quickly, which meant I could split jerk again. I ended up at 250lbs, tried 270lbs but didn't get it. Just a bit too heavy, and I didn't want to push it to risk anything. Three of us ended up tying at 250 because one competitor skipped 270 and barely missed 290. The competitor who ended up winning was not affected by this mistake in this event.
Sandbag, Keg, Sled Medley
This was a unique event. First, carry and load a 200lb sandbag onto a sled, run back, and arm-over-arm pull the sled about 10 feet. Then, carry and load a 250lb keg onto the sled, run back, and arm-over-arm pull the sled about 15 or 20 feet. Finally, carry and load a 300lb sandbag onto the sled, run back, and arm-over-arm pull the sled the rest of the way, about 15 or 20 more feet (I don't remember the distances perfectly honestly). During warm-ups and testing for this, I realized that it would be very useful to take a few seconds and make sure the sandbag and keg are situated well to load the last sandbag on the front easily. The first sandbag was fairly easy, the keg wasn't too bad (I didn't carry it high to save my legs), but the second sled-pull was starting to get fairly heavy. The last sandbag wasn't terrible, but it definitely was heavy enough to slow me down and tire me out. It was also heavy enough to really make the sled difficult. Because of the log ties, I was going in the first heat, so I had to give it all I had to get a few pulls in. I think I pulled it like 5 or 6 feet. However, it was enough to win because no one else was even able to load the third sandbag. It was very fortunate for all of us that it was still not raining for this event.
Max Deadlift
Same thing as log, it was a last man standing and you can take as many jumps as you want. I did a little bit of warm-ups, but as soon as the event started, it started raining pretty decently. I wanted to stay dry as my main priority, so I stayed out of the way until around 430lbs as my first official lift. Then, with the 20kg jumps, I did 474lbs, 518lbs, and I finished at 562lbs. This was good enough for third out of four. Second place did 606lbs, and first got 650lbs. Some really good deadlifters here, and this was a competition PR for me and my second heaviest deadlift ever. I was pretty happy, especially in the rain and because it was on an incline facing down, making the deadlift harder for everyone.
Max Distance Yoke
This even is fairly simple. Ninety seconds, 635lbs, 50 foot each way, and carry the yoke as far as you can. Again, because I was going in the first heat, I could not pace myself. Again, the rain was coming down but slowed down a little at least for us 231s. I finished 200 feet right around 60 seconds, took a breath, and carried the yoke for another 50 feet. I didn't have much time left, so I went as far as I could. However, my legs were essentially jelly. I finished at 261 ft, but first place got 277 ft in the second heat. Finishing second here all but guaranteed my second place overall.
Max Atlas Stone
At this point, it was after 4pm, and we were just starting last event. I barely have trained stones the past year, so I had no expectations besides not zeroing. Luckily, the rain stopped, the mats dried out, and the stones were nice and dry under a tent all day. It was fairly cool, so I decided to use my grade 2 tacky from Cerberus, which was a good idea. One competitor decided to call it a day (he was in last and his family was exhausted). I knew the two remaining ones were better than me at stones, so I wanted to just get some good lifts in for myself. Once we got to 300lbs, it felt way better than I expected. I was excited to try 330lbs, but I barely missed the load over the bar. A bit of a technique issue, unsurprisingly, but the strength was there. I was about to try once more, but I only had 10 seconds. I finished third there (i.e., last of remaining people), and the other two tied at 360lbs, barely missing 400lbs each.

Overall

I finished in second place. First place was just much stronger overall, and he definitely deserved the win. Nothing to do my end except get stronger. It was a super long day (I was at the competition area for 12 hours), the weather was difficult to deal with, and it was a heavy show with three maxes. I had fun, and I hope they keep holding these types of events.

What's Next

It's finally time for an off-season. I'm going to take about the next 6 months and work on (in order of priority) on my log, deadlift, and stones. Those are really my biggest weaknesses, so I'm finally ready to get stronger and better instead of just maintaining between contests. Plus, I think I'll write-up some lessons learned for competing so much in a short amount of time.

Please forgive my writing as English is not my first language. But i am 15 and was born afab but i have started to socially transition to male (ftm).
But i have always wanted to be a dad in the biological way ig if that makes sense. Ik that transgender men can ofc give birth and props to you of you do but i dont want to do it. Having female parts makes me dysphoric as is and then actually having to use those parts for a thing that is often associated with women makes me want to cry and rip my skin off and just rip those parts out of me myself.
I have no interest in pregnancy or giving birth. I always said that i never wanted to have kids. Then i thought about it and realized that i DO want kids. I just dont want to give birth to them and i dont want to be seen as a mom or do the things that moms do. I dont want to be a soft spoken, nurturing, kissing boo-boos away stereotypical mom. I want to be the strong protector type of parent. And i feel i cant do that as well if i “am” a woman.
Idk. Ive always imagined being able to get someone else pregnant. Taking care of them the entire way through it. Helping them through like cravings and holding their hands when things get hard or painful. Buying them whatever it is that they want (food, clothes, anything really). Etc etc.
Ofc there is nothing wrong with adoption or fostering and i am open to that. I just dont feel that it’s fair that i don’t actually get a say in the matter and that it was just like chosen for me if that makes sense.
And yes ik that many cis men are infertile. But that doesn’t change the fact that i feel i am being unfairly stripped away from something i really want!
If i do get a GF/ wife who wants to have a kid, i am definitely not carrying it. Hysterectomy or getting my tubes tied all the way. I am not saving my egss or anything for sure either. Only other thing i can think of is like sperm donor but it just sucks that i cant be like involved in that way and like have the kid be "biologically" mine. Are there any other alternatives to having kids as a trans guy? I really really really want to be a dad 😭

So it's no surprise that the latest Warbond hasn't gone over with the community very well. The now closed Patreon poll sitting at 71,513 votes, 57% of voters are okay with it, while most having a complaint one way or another, with the other 42% of voters not approving of the Warbond. This isn't to start an argument over why it's good or bad, personally it's alright with me. The only weapon in it I don't like was the Purifier energy weapon. Now for the BIG but, it definitely doesn't make sense. None of the armors in it do anything for the polar planets, no easier mobility in snow or ice, no better traction on ice, nothing. They just have the same copy pasta 'Armor Passives' as everything else. And you can argue that, yeah this is still a relatively new game, I believe the community is getting a little tired of the "samey" feel with the content, especially the armors. After hearing that helmets were supposed to have unique HUD's, but were cut to launch the game, I hope this is added or brought back I guess, to help add variety and purpose to them more than just aesthetic pieces. Back to armor passives, I can understand having the same passives for different weights (Light, Medium, Heavy) and outside of Armor, Speed, and Stamina regen, nothing changes between them, for example = the light armor SC-37 Legionnaire, the medium armor SA-25 Steel Trooper, the heavy armor CW-36 Winter Warrior have the same stats for the passive. Plus 30% throwing range, and 50% limb health. So why not have a little bit of change, the light armor having the biggest throwing range bonus, with the lowest limb health bonus, and the heavy being the opposite to really define their roles. I kinda understand why, but in my opinion, if they want a risk and reward system, then I think this would help a bit more, maybe that's just me. Then factor in the types of damage in the game; acid/bile, projectile, explosive, slashing, fire, electric, gas, impact, etc. why aren't there armors with resistances to those? Sure it may be too complex to add specific resistances to specific armors, but it's not even a one size fits all, "this armor is best" deal. Think about it, you bring an armor that has say, 40% resistance to projectile damage against automatons, that's not going to help against getting butchered, punched, blown up or thrown into a rock, again, risk and reward. Now shifting away from armor for a bit, another divisive cut in the community has been the balance patches, a real hot topic for sure. Whichever side of the fence you're on, the game is about fun, first and foremost. Yeah you have the people out there who only play nothing but helldive and love the challenge and difficulty, but you also have those people who just want to chill and have a good time with their friends without having to feel pressured into using certain things because they work better than others. By no means am I saying the game should be easy, that's what the difficulties are for. But what I am saying is that weapons should be unique and competitive. The R-36 Eruptor for example, it was my favorite weapon pre-patch. It was a bit situational, had it's weaknesses and strengths, but was fun to use. Now, I don't really use it anymore unless I feel like messing around or challenging myself. Many have even been comparing the new AR-61 tenderizer with the starter AR, some saying it's worse, some saying it's better. When it's advertised as something that's "high-caliber" it should be at least medium armor penetrating OR do a lot more, very noticeably more damage than the base AR. Another hot topic, and idk if it's in the works, planned for later or whatever, and I know people will say "oh it's going to ruin the game, it's going to ruin the balance!" but I would love to see weapon and armor customization. I know people are going to complain about stuff one way or another, and it could be argued to the heavens and back the benefits and drawbacks of it, or how it could be implemented. And just looking at the digital pad for the Armory, it looks like we should be able to tweak and customize our weapons, but that could just be a set piece. Regardless, I'd like to see it for a number of reasons. Now I'm not going to advocate for fewer warbonds, but the game definitely needs some major fixing. And if that means delaying warbonds, then so be it. One of the issues I'm tired of is enemies either shooting through terrain, or popping through terrain right next to me, as well as personally getting stuck in terrain. With all that being said, it hasn't been the smoothest ride, but the devs should be commended for their work. I think there's just a lot of grouchy people out there who do nothing but play this game and complain about the slightest thing that doesn't fit them or how they play or want stuff done. But if the devs keep on it, sprinkle in some more magic, this game will go far. Again I gotta stress that this isn't to start any fights or debates (but it's the internet so, yeah) If you read this far, thanks for listening to my 2 cents.

This is kind of just a discussion post not like an emotional post or anything.
I was discussing the Bear vs Man meme with my sister in law yesterday. I told her I felt like an outlier amongst women because I'd choose man.
Men (like most bears in the wild) tend to ignore me or leave me alone. I'm a fat, unattractive, and neurodivergent cis-woman.
I don't meet the beauty standard and most women who I see online or know irl who talk about sexual harassment and fear of men are attractive, beautiful women. I believe these women when they say men have followed them out of stores, in parking garages, down city streets, that men cat call them, stalk them, tjreaten them, assault them. I believe that those things have happened and that they have reason to fear men.
But me? Nope. Nada. Zilch.
I've had the occasional man approach me to call me fat or ugly but those interactions aren't really frightening as much as they are hurtful.
In fact, the only people who have actually threatened me, tried to put their hands on me, be invasively cruel to me, or make me afraid are other women. This isn't gonna turn into a "I hate other women I'm so much better," type of post, that's just the truth. I'm not very attractive and I'm pretty weird, I don't give other women alot of reasons to try and be nice to me.
So I'm not really frightened of men, nor do I feel like I have more to fear from them than I do with women. They both tend to leave me alone, or very rarely try to hurt me.
So I feel like I'm a third gender, something outside of men and women. And this feeling didn't come on randomly with the bear vs man meme, it's a feeling I've had for a long time.
I often felt uncomfortable and hyper aware around other girls as child. I felt different for them. When I was a teenager I wondered if it was because I felt attracted to them, but my attraction to men is much stronger.
I often feel unsatisfied with romantic relationships with men, or like something is missing. I fantasize about dating a man who doesn't view me as woman or a man, just as a person.
I often feel uncomfortable in super feminine clothing, like I'm wearing a costume or I'm doing a performance.
I often wonder who'd be if I wasn't raised as a woman in such a misogynistic society. I feel like not being a woman would be freeing.
I even told someone once, if there were a pre-existing, third gender role in our society, I'd gladly take it, or fulfill it.
I'm not sure if in non-binary, and if I was I don't think I'd ever transition. I live in a conservative part of the United States and my family would not be down with it tbh. I also don't experience any dysphoria about any part of my body, so if I am NB or not, I don't think any9ke would ever know.
To anyone who might be reading this, how did you come to the conclusion thay you were trans? That you weren't? How does appearance and neurodivergency play into your gender identity?

The tablet still requires charge (Type-C). It is as sturdy as a standard Amazon Kindle. An occasional connection to an Internet or Ethernet source is required to ensure system interfacing (at least once a week). Although subscription fees are waived through the host account on this device, the user is still required for any additional costs.
Companion Egg	A large, glowing silvery egg. It is said to be able to hatch into a new companion for Max. It is unclear what kind of companion the egg will produce, but Max has been taking care to keep it safe and warm.

Lupa Hines	Being one of the few people to know about Max's fear of waters, Lupa quickly became someone who Max trusted. Her help as Mediator made facing his fear a little more approachable and a lot less panic attack inducing.
Tori	A bluejay Max made friends with over the past year, Tori is the 'kind but stern' to Simon's sarcasm and joking.

Personality:

Max isn't the most social kid on the block by any means but he has definitely begun to be more outgoing, or at least he's tried to be. He tries to approach people but isn't very well verse in the art of conversation and might come off insensitive or clueless from time to time.
Despite all of this, there remains one permanent aspect to Max's personality which was marked upon him while growing up. During his childhood, Max read stories about what families should be like and the discovery of his mother abandoning him paired with his Aunt's disappearance have made him near overprotective of those he calls family.

History:

The past two years at camp had been what Max would call the best time of his life, case in point, making friends that weren't of the avian persuasion, having a boyfriend for a time, pseudo-adopting a child of the God of Death as his little brother (He's just the cutest little guy), almost dying multiple times, going on two quests, and generally learning how to be a functional human being (He was still working on that last one).
Still, the time at camp had changed him, mostly for the better but he knew he couldn't stay at camp forever. That being said, the place was home. His family was here and he'd be damned if he let himself lose sight of that. He'd left camp shortly after his second quest. It had given him things to think about and work through but now he was back.
Plus, traveling around for a few months just hunting monsters by rumor or through the avian grapevine had been fun. It gave him a look at what the future could hold for him, at least for a little while after camp.
Present Day:
Sitting atop Cabin 1, Max watched the sun pull itself over the horizon with a stupid grin on his face. He wasn't sure why he was in a good mood today but he never did when these moods came over him. He just liked to enjoy them as they came and went. With a huff, he slid off the side of the cabin roof and cushioned the fall with a thought.
Stretching, the black-haired young man looked up. Maybe his dad was watching... or maybe not. It didn't really matter. Max knew he cared and wether or not he watched at any given moment didn't matter. Hmm... Would practicing his lightning-jumps be a bad idea this early in the morning? Yes, almost definitely. Would Max be doing it anyways? Yup! He needed to get his rebellious teenage years out since he'd skipped that whole phase and he'd started doing so little by little. Who knew? Maybe Max would end up a responsible and serious young man if he did it enough (Doubtful but peripherally possible, if not highly unlikely).
So he grinned and with a thunderclap and a blinding lightning bolt, he went from standing next to the Zeus Cabin, to standing at the edge of the Strawberry Fields. What a wonderful day.

I'm a Valedictorian from Panama that graduates this year from HS and is going to study abroad, either on the USA or in Spain. Spain is actually more convenient since I already have the dual citizenship and thus would be much more cheaper (overall) than studying at a college in the USA. Though, the main problem is that I'm unsure of what I really want to study.
The thing is I really don't particularly "enjoy" any subject at school (if it really had to be one, then I'd guess Calculus). The subjects that I'm the strongest at are pretty much all math related (Calculus > Physics and Chemistry). Other than that, I completely detest anything that is not STEM (literature is the thing I hate the most to study) so any career of that type is completely discarded.
Obviouslly, given this, most people would suggest some engineering though I'm unsure about that myself... really no engineering even begins to pique my interest whatsoever (other than a tentative maybe on electrical engineering)
And, about medicine, I don't like Biology because it's all memorization, and that's (mostly) what medicine is as well. Plus, I don't like the idea of studying for so many years.
Then, as for studying math directly, I feel that, not only is the math you study in college something ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from what you learn in highschool but that the job options are extremely limited and underpaid.
Really, I'm only considering two careers at the moment: CS or studying at a Merchant Marine Acadamy and becoming a Ship Captain (odd choice but I have my reasons).
Now, when it comes to CS, isn't it true that the market is completely oversaturated at this point? I've heard some people say that studying EE gives you more job security and you could easily transition into CS from it but still. I'm still very young and naive so I'm not sure how any of this works (getting a job and working)... but, I don't feel there's anything that would make me distinguish myself from other applicants for a job.
When it comes to becoming a Ship Captain, the only thing that worries me (albeit a very big part of my decision to study this or not) is if I would be miserable or not working on a ship for 4-6 months at a time, which is unfortunately something that I would only know when I actually do it. Though, this career pretty much guarantees me a job as soon as I graduate and the salaries are quite good.
Essentially, both careers have their pros and cons but I find myself completely unable to decide on what is it really that I want to do. I've always liked computers (building them, working with and using them)... that doesn't mean CS is what I should study. And if I'm already reluctant to the idea of being a ship months at a time, then I shouldn't consider studying that, isn't it?

ROLEPLAY
For what i’m looking for, i’d have to say basically anything in the Jujutsu Kaisen universe. Perhaps something done in the Shibuya Arc, or even the Culling Games Arc where are our characters are participating. Or maybe something entirely different. I think it would be cool if our characters were strong on their own and everything was set up in the Culling Games Arc, them having to maybe ally or something. But we can also have it be basically them fighting together to make themselves stronger and then fight new enemies as well. I’m down for ideas!
I’m also down for a Modern AU roleplay with the original characters. Maybe an OC x CC or CC x CC in that case!
CHARACTERS
I tend to use character sheets to describe my character, these usually consist of names, background, and personality. More so on appearances, I prefer using animated or drawn references than real life people. I enjoy good enough references where I get the idea of how the character would look like.
The types of characters I write are either the lone wolf type that has some sad past which leads them to want to join someone for a redemption arc or the bubbly character who is the one that brings the mood up and is usually seen as trustworthy and of that kind.
I like all types of tropes, especially enemies to lovers or rivalry. I also really enjoy opposites attract as a whole from either opposite personality or something else they would be opposites in. Enemies to lovers takes my heart, though. I love seeing the characters go past the urge to ultimately hate each other and/or go past their usual way of disliking the others lineage or upcoming.
REQUIREMENT
I think this is my last paragraph on the roleplay. It’s the most important, at least. Requirements. All roleplay searches come with them. Or at least that’s what I heard! But don’t fret, there isn’t much.
I’ve seen this as one of the most used requirements, and I agree with it. As someone who’s first language wasn’t English, I understand that you may not be great at it. But please, I do require a partner that at least has proper use of grammar and punctuation. You don’t even have to use big words or anything, just at least know where to put your periods and the placement of your words.
My second requirement is for you to be LITERATE! Please. I’m a big writer, I tend to ramble on and tend to write more than what I thought I would. (like i’m doing right now) I write multiple paragraphs from the starter until the scene relaxes. I also understand that sometimes writing big blocks of words every response is tiring or boring so I don’t expect it all the time, at least after the starter has been made and in more important scenes. Dialogue also cuts my replies shorter.
Please please please be polite in OOC! We may just be role playing together but kindness goes all ways. If we do include OOC, I enjoy talking about many things. My day, movies, games, funny moments and stories, all of that!

First, let me be blunt: this might not work for everyone. Everyone's success is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all plan. What works for one person might not work for another, so keep that in mind.
Don't choose a product just because you can source it cheaply, because you like it, or because you think it will sell well. The first product I tried to sell on Amazon was a complete failure because I didn't do any market research. I just saw one other product that seemed to be selling well and tried to sell the same thing. I thought, "If they are selling well, I can throw up my product, and it should sell well too, right?" Nope. I was wrong. Looking back, it's funny now, but at the time it wasn’t.
They had hundreds of reviews, a much better listing, and were already ranked. I had no idea how to set up my listing back then. I had three poor-quality iPhone pictures, horrible copywriting, and worst of all, I had no idea how to launch or rank my product. I just knew someone else was selling well.
Enough about my failed product. I say this to highlight how important it is to pick the right product, especially when you're first starting. So in general, you should approach your product research like this:

I thought, “If they are selling well, I can throw up my product and it should sell well too, right?” Nope. I was wrong.
They had hundreds of reviews, a much better listing, and were already ranked. I had no idea how to set up my listing back then. I had three poor-quality iPhone pictures, horrible copywriting, and worst of all, I had no idea how to launch or rank my product. I just knew someone else was selling well.
Enough about my failed product. I say this to highlight how important it is to pick the right product, especially when you're first starting. So here’s how you should approach your product research:
Find the Market
For your first product, look for ones that are easier to ship and manufacture so you can launch quicker. The main factors to consider are:
Small and lightweight
Non-seasonal
Non-fragile / non-electronic
Non-brand dominated
Price between $12 and $55
Already selling well (over 500 units per month)
Next, you want to find other potential, successful products that will lead you to the overall market. Here are two effective product research methods:
Free Method
Check out the New Release section of any sub-category. The idea is to find products that have just recently launched and are already selling well. Some good categories to start in are Home & Kitchen, Office Products, and Pet Supplies. Go into their sub-categories to find oddball products that are doing well. For example, Home & Kitchen > Kitchen & Dining > Tabletop > Tabletop Accessories > Kitchen & Table Linens > Tablecloths. You can use the free AMZ Scout Chrome extension to estimate how many units are being sold each month.
Paid Method
Use the Jungle Scout Web App ($40 a month). The product database lets you search through Amazon with the criteria we went over and only pulls back products that fit.
Analyze Market Trends
Research the current trends and popular products in your target market. Look for gaps and opportunities where there is a demand for new products. It's important to start doing this for just one market, ideally your country’s market.
Use Product/Keyword Research Tools
Use these tools to identify potential product ideas. They can help you identify popular search terms and phrases related to your target market. Use Amazon’s search engine autocomplete, which will show you the daily trends for that Marketplace. Start typing (for example, "car Christmas decoration") and get ideas.
Think Outside the Box
Don’t just rely on scraping Alibaba for the next big product. Millions of people are doing the same. Even Alibaba’s manufacturers are directly selling those products on Amazon. Think outside the box: attend trade shows and local markets related to your target market. This can be a great way to learn about new products and trends and to connect with potential suppliers and manufacturers. Plus, it’s not as easy for your competitors to attend a trade show.
Network and Connect with Other Sellers
This is an absolute must and a game-changer. Join Facebook groups, Discord servers, and follow relevant Twitter accounts. Meeting face-to-face and networking with other sellers on Amazon will give you new ideas, and you'll share the ups and downs of selling on Amazon. Don’t expect other sellers to show you their secret formula. They won’t give you an idea for their next great product, but exchanging ideas with someone in your same position is really helpful.
Avoid Amazon Gurus' Courses
Nobody who is going to make you a millionaire or make you drop your 9-to-5 life will give you the keys to it for $3,000 or $30,000.
Tools for Amazon Product Research
There are several tools that can help with the research process. Some popular options include:
Jungle Scout: A product research tool that helps you identify potential products to sell on Amazon based on data and analytics. The product database includes over 500 million products.
Helium 10: A suite of tools that includes a keyword research tool, product tracker, and other features that can help you research and find profitable products to sell on Amazon. The product database includes over 400 million products.

Now that you generally know how to find good product ideas, don't get overwhelmed with the entire process of selling on Amazon. No need to stress about ranking, launching, PPC, sourcing, or anything other than finding the right product to sell. Once you have a good product to sell, figuring out all that stuff becomes so much easier since you know specifically what to sell. You'll start to see how things work and what products sell well once you've been doing product research for a little bit.
Remember, success on Amazon varies for everyone, and there's no guarantee this will work for you. However, by following these guidelines, you'll have a much better chance of finding a product that can succeed in the marketplace.

New enemies: cloakers would now be replaced by C.R.O’s which are very stealthy and sneak into areas threw vents using ropes to retrieve citizens and delivering chops to the back of the head to knock heisters out; and finally elites which only spawn on max difficulty loud and only one of each type can ever spawn in a single run of a heist
Elite cloakers now apply mangled to people they kick which makes armor 30% weaker and instead of being healed by med kits they simply decrease the effect by 10% per use removing it after the third use, they also move much faster and more erratically
Elite dozers are immune to bullets resistant to explosives and their face plates have the health of a swat cop
Elite tazers work like the old taser except they also make you aim in random directions and will try to grab the person they tazed to apprehend them
How do you like the concepts I made? I couldn’t think of anything for others elites for the classic enemies

Just wanted to point out the moment the devs fix HITREG, so when a sword player hits their target they actually do damage, all these random posts about emote cancelling being op start popping up.
I just want to say based off the handful of people who actually can emote cancel, there is no way this many people have experienced it to this level of "ruining the game" people act like. In my 600 hours of playtime, I have only seen 4 people actually use it, and one of them couldn't get the timing right. I have seen over a hundred cheaters, but four of these guys.
Alot of people don't seem to know exactly what the patch did to hitreg and why it makes emote cancel no longer more useful than melee. They probably don't even know what the optimal combos per character size are either.
Overall, I just believe that this is more of an antilight/antisword type of thing. It is not really about the emote canceling, most people don't even know how it works or have seen it firsthand, but it is an excuse to start discussing nerfing more light equipment.
Btw, alot of these people requesting this be removed are also requesting getting the sword put on medium. From someone who can emote cancel and doesn't, (again most people don't understand why it was used, or why this patch would reduce usage) I see a lot of people who are probably just looking for more excuses to attempt to remove lights from the game. It sounds absurd, but reading the amount of anti-light posts and the hate they receive from their teammates ingame, I don't think this new surge of posts is really about what it says it is about.
So if they remove it and people are still looking for more adjustments to make it less "powerful", remember the phrase "ulterior motives".

I’ll start off with this disclaimer. I am not getting paid to promote this company or their CAD software.
I spent a long time looking for legit CAD software to use after designing a couple of things on TinkerCAD. Every CAD program I found had one of three glaring issues with it. It was insanely expensive (thousands of dollars), your files are made public, or you couldn’t do commercial products with it. I know the enforcement of the commercial products isn’t really enforced, but I just don’t like to take any chances.
Anyways, the CAD software I found is made by Alibre. It is a fully fledged program. I believe the interface is intuitive and resembles other CAD programs. You can export in STL and multiple STEP formats (amongst other file types). It’s NOT cloud based, so you don’t have worry about server issues. And supposedly if you needed to transfer the license from one computer to another, it’s a fairly simple process. I haven’t done this yet, so I can’t comment on personal experience. And the most important factor for this program… it’s actually affordable. I believe I have the middle tier (Alibre Pro) of their software, and I pay $30/monthly. You also have options to pay yearly for a discount ($300), and I believe you can buy a lifetime license for $1000. There is no restriction on selling commercially regardless of which tier you purchase.
The program just needs an occasional Internet connection for updates, but your files are kept locally on whatever machine is running the software, so they’re not being uploaded somewhere. I have run into a bug here and there, but it’s usually fixed by saving and relaunching the program. They have many tutorials on how to get started.
One downside is that because this company is not well known, there aren’t very many videos on YouTube etc.
Overall, I’ve been extremely satisfied with Alibre. I’ve been using it for almost 5 months now on a decent laptop so I can design anywhere. This CAD program has allowed me to expand my designs significantly. I just wanted to make this post after seeing another post about CAD software last night on this subreddit. Sorry if this is a bit disjointed and long, there's a TL;DR at the end. I just had my LEEP on Thursday and wanted to share my experience. Hopefully this soothes a fellow over-thinker.
Background: 30 yr old female, 130 lbs, 5'2". No moderate, severe or chronic health conditions.
I was diagnosed with high-risk (HR) HPV with LSIL/abnormal cells in February of this year. Not 16/18, but another HR strain. I got at least one shot of the HPV vaccine before I turned 26 so I was really shocked at this. I had a complete emotional breakdown because of the connection to HPV and cervical cancer, plus I just felt....dirty. I've gone through my sexually active years without getting as much as a yeast infection, and now I had just been hit with an STI, and the one that causes cancer. I went into a pretty deep depression and honestly I'm still in that depression zone but not nearly as much. I did a ton of research and my findings told me that even if it was cancer, it's one of the most curable ones especially given my age, health, etc.
My primary doctor referred me to a gyno's office connected to the hospital I go to, and I scheduled an appointment for March 1st. Gyno (who was actually not an OBGYN but an APRN/midwife?) basically did a slightly more advanced exam/questionnaire then I got another referral to an actual OBGYN for a colposcopy and scheduled it for April 1st. I thought I would have the colpo/biopsy with the APRN during my March appointment but I guess that's just a "yeah your primary is right you need a colpo" step. Idk, very confusing.
April 1st comes, the doctor that was available for that date (I wanted to get this done asap) had some less than favorable reviews on the internet so that made me a little uneasy. Between each appointment I was spending hours researching, redditing, googling, youtubing etc. so I wouldn't go into this completely ignorant and hopefully minimize the chance of any BS being pulled.
My doctor was, to my surprise, very chill, professional and knowledgeable. Took time to answer all my questions, we even had some laughs. Please ladies, find a doctor that makes you feel comfortable if you can. No question is a silly question and no doctor or nurse should make you feel like you're stupid for raising concerns or asking a lot of questions. If you feel something is off or a doc is being an a-hole, that's your sign to GTFO and find another doctor. Pleasant staff make this experience so much better.
The colpo: wasn't that bad. They crack you open like a pistachio with a speculum (like they would use for pap smear) and take a look at your cervix with this scope. A vinegar solution is applied to highlight the abnormal cells. My doc's colpo machine did have a screen that could show me what he was seeing, although it wasn't working and honestly I'm glad. I think seeing what was going on inside of me would make me worry more. So I just had to take my doctor's word for it when he said the area of abnormal cells was small.
I had a punch biopsy done during my colpo and oh man. It hurt. I wasn't instructed to take ibuprofen beforehand. I'm not sure if they didn't think I would need a biopsy or what but holy crap. 2 samples were taken, at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock on my cervix, and I received a curettage as well. The curettage didn't hurt or was minor in comparison to the biopsy. After the biopsy, a "liquid bandage" was applied, this bandage is called Monsel's solution I believe. It's a mustard yellow paste.
The biopsy caused immediate moderate cramping and pain. The "6 o'clock" one, which was a larger sample, made me flinch and let out a little yelp. 6 o'clock hurt a lot. I will say that my doctor talked about what he was going to do before doing or as he was doing it so it's not like I was taken entirely by surprise. However, you don't realize how sensitive your cervix is until a chunk is taken from it.
After the biopsy, I felt this dull pain, nausea and cramping and apparently had excessive bleeding. Dribbles of blood were present on the procedure chair and floor, some of which had been cleaned up by the nurse/assistant prior to me sitting up so who knows how much was there. Doc confirmed this excessive bleeding in my after visit summary, but it wasn't so much so that it warranted some kind of emergency. I experienced some spotting for about 2 to 3 days after. I expected more blood in my pads but that never happened. I think seeing all this blood, knowing where it came from and why it was there made me even more nauseous.
The nausea and...weakness after the biopsy really had me messed up. I could barely focus as my doctor went into detail about what to possibly expect afterwards, what he saw (he even drew a little picture of my cervix), answered any questions I had. We said our goodbyes, I got dressed and made a mad dash to the waiting area's water cooler. I figured some cool water would calm my nerves and my stomach. I stupidly walked home after the procedure (I live in Chicago, very close to my doc's office). Nothing terrible happened but in hindsight, what if I passed out in the office, in the street? If you can ladies, have someone with you to get you home safely and for support. Or, at the very least, take an uber after.
After getting home I checked my pad, everything was good although I did have some "coffee grounds" in my pad from the Monsel's solution. The doc warned me about this and to expect it for a few days. I crashed on my couch for a little nap before going to a concert later that evening because I don't know how to take a day off.
The next month following my biopsy was largely uneventful, I did have intercourse about 2.5 weeks post-biopsy with no issues or pain, although the thought of infection and the whole process made it hard to enjoy sex (I healed up just fine so this was more unnecessary worrying). I didn't experience any pain, fever, or excessive bleeding, only some mild discomfort/cramping/lethargy (likely due to mentally stressing myself out) on day 2. I did however, experience one moment that freaked me out:
Day 3 post-biopsy: I got home from after work (my job requires me to be on my feet most of the day) and felt something in my vagina. It felt like a freshly inserted, regular sized tampon. I went to the bathroom, washed my hands and reached down to feel something coming out of me. Something was crowning and breaching my labial gates. I reached back down and slowly pulled out whatever object was in me. It felt like a horror movie. I knew I had inserted nothing.
Based on the feeling of said object, I thought my cervix was falling out of my body. I started panicking a bit. Panicking intensified after pulling out this...sac.
It looked alien. It was this membrane sac, about the size of a pitted date when rolled up. Within the sac contained those "coffee grounds." I knew it was the Monsel's solution and likely I had shed the liquid bandage. That logical thought didn't stop me from freaking out and gently wrapping my alien sac Starbucks trash baby in a piece of toilet paper and further sealing this HPV caused abomination into a Ziploc bag. My plan was to run to the ER and show them the freak I had given birth to.
Problem is, I had just lost my is insurance and was in process of getting a new plan, so a costly trip to the ER, waiting for hours for them to likely tell me I'm a panicky idiot wasn't really in the cards. So what does any overly anxious patient do? Turn to Dr. Google of course! I found a couple of reddit posts from women who had experienced the same thing but there wasn't much information on what had just slithered out of me. I found one of those "pay $5 for any kind of advice: legal, medical etc! Chat with an expert today!" sites that seemed legit enough. I got in chat with a doc quickly after some AI pre-chat prompts and he confirmed my suspicions: it was the Monsel's solution that I had expelled from my body. I was told this wasn't unusual and so long as I don't have an excessive bleeding, fever, pain, blah blah, I should be fine.
And I was fine. If you experience this and don't have any accompanying complications, you should be fine too. It is weird when it happens though.
My results came back about 2 weeks later. What was initially thought to be LSIL turned out to be HSIL/CIN-III, and my OBGYN told me I needed a LEEP sooner than later. My appointment was scheduled for next month and I still didn't have insurance. These month long waits between appointments were anxiety ridden depression fests, fueled by junk food and further exacerbated by internet research. The LEEP posts on Reddit had me so concerned, I reached out to my doctor to see if I could be put under general anesthesia for my LEEP, instead of receiving local anesthesia. Women on here described LEEPs as painful and traumatic. Just awful stuff. If you're reading this you've likely read those too. They described leg shaking after the shots, crying, etc. My doctor left me a detailed voice message and responded to my concerns with: "most women tolerate it well but if you're uncomfortable we'll send you to the hospital and put you under monitored sedation/anesthesia." I was still worried but was willing to see how I felt after local anesthesia. I was pleased he was open to working with me and my comfort level.
Fast forward to Wednesday last week:
The night before my LEEP, I got maybe an hour of sleep. I couldn't turn my mind off. My heart started racing an hour before my procedure and I had weird heart palpitations/irregular heart beat. I showered to calm myself down and be clean for my appointment, took 600 mg of ibuprofen as instructed, then headed out. Got a little snack from Starbucks (croissant for before since I was walking to my doc and some madeleines for after to help offset some potential nausea). For my LEEP I wore a big comfy sweater, some "period" leggings (leggings that aren't too tight and I don't care if they get blood on them) and brought a pad with me just in case. They should provide one for you but I'd rather be prepared. Got to the office, checked in, did the pregnancy urine test, got called in quickly, went through the whole height/weight/med history routine. About 5 mins later I sat down in my OBGYN's office. He described the lab findings (CIN-III), detailed the procedure, the tools and supplies they would use, aftercare and answered any questions I had. He then led me into a procedure room (pretty sure it was the same one I had my bloody biopsy in). I got undressed from the waist down like a pap, sat in the procedure chair, draped a little paper blanket over my bare bits and waited. The doctor came in with his nurse and went to work.
They again cracked me open with a speculum, this time it was rubberized on some parts. This is so your vagina doesn't get fried from the electrical current, otherwise your pubes and vulva will look like Marv in Home Alone. They also slapped a little rubber pad on my thigh to "ground" me like I'm some kind heavy duty machinery. Colpo machine comes forward so the doc can zoom in on your cervix. He applied 2 types of solution if I recall correctly: the normal vinegar solution to highlight abnormal cells and an iodine solution to highlight normal cells. Someone can correct me if that's wrong. The solutions and their uses were the least of my concerns.
He then went in with 4 lidocaine injections to numb the area, total of about 1 ml of lido I think. He used a very small needle and upon insertion, it felt like a little pinch. Now, for those afraid of needles, it is a long ish needle but the actual poke is minimal. Although some women report that the inject was the worst part. That was not the case here but the visual can be a bit alarming. After the first injection, I didn't feel the other 3. I felt comfortable going forward with the procedure, and my doc kept checking in with me to make sure I was ok. I did feel an increase in my heart rate post-lidocaine, but it wasn't concerning. I wasn't sure if this was from the "holy shit he's about to start zapping" or as a side effect of the lidocaine. Regardless, my heart rate came back down to a reasonable level given the circumstances in a few minutes. I was actually so comfortable at this point, I managed to relax my asscheeks after they were clamped together like a vise grip from the moment my derriere hit the chair.
I'm not really sure what happened after the injections, I knew he was using the LEEP machine but I don't know how long that lasted and when the wound was being created vs. cauterized as I didn't feel anything except some mild cramping/discomfort. I didn't flinch like I did with the biopsy. When the doc was finished, he applied a little bit of Monsel's, described how much he removed, went over aftercare again, we said our thank yous and goodbyes. I got dressed and went on my way, snacking on my madeleines on my way home (I walked again lol). I felt well post-procedure and even stopped at Target to do some shopping and smell some summer collection candles. I did feel myself bleeding but when I got home and checked the pad, there was a minimal amount of blood. Some women here have reported a distinct burning smell during their LEEP, I didn't smell anything but I also have sinus issues soooo maybe I just didn't pick up on it? My appointment was at 9 a.m. and I was out by 9:32.
When I got home I had some orange juice, water then slept for about 8 to 9 hours. I did have little cry sessions here and there after my procedure. But I was also sleep deprived and know I tend to get emotional. Regardless, take some time off after a LEEP, stay home around your own germs if possible. Get some of your favorite snacks, a face mask and a Nintendo switch or something. This is a good time for some self-care and rest, girlies.
Friday, day after LEEP: no bleeding, minor cramping/discomfort.
Saturday: Usual morning pee met with some blood in the toilet paper. Nothing in my pad though. Throughout the day I slept on and off, I've been more tired than usual. My body and mind has gone through some shit so I'm not mad at myself for being sleepy. I did experience some heavier bleeding throughout the day that was mostly dark colored. The blood level was about the same if not less than what I'd experience with a period. No unusual smell. I did shed the liquid bandage. Did have some mild cramping at certain points during the day but not debilitating or worth taking ibuprofen over.
Sunday: Energy levels finally back up to something normal, don't feel as tired. Still bleeding dark red blood/brown discharge but it's minor. Ran some errands today, I figured gravity would cause me to bleed more but it's about the same as yesterday if not less.
If there's interest, I'll check in at maybe the 2 week and 4 week mark, or whenever I remember since this is my throwaway account.
Overall the LEEP was way better than the biopsy in my experience. Reddit had me freaking out. I know I'm lucky, and this post isn't to dismiss any terrible or painful experience other women have had. I want to share my 'positive' experience, since most of my mental state surrounding my diagnosis, fears, the upgrade from LSIL to HSIL, has been negative.
Oh and I did get insurance literally a week before my LEEP, thank God.

TL;DR: -Colpo: easy -Biopsy: sucks. Most pain I've ever felt and felt nauseous/uneasy after. Ask your doctor if you can take ibuprofen prior to a biopsy. Monsel's solution/liquid bandaid came out in sac-like alien baby about 36 to 48 hours later. Was able to have intercourse 2-2.5 weeks post-biopsy. No insertion of anything for about 3 days after. -LEEP: easy-ish? 600 mg ibuprofen 1 hour before procedure. Anxiety inducing but once I was numbed with local anesthesia, I felt nothing except some mild cramping. The injection didn't hurt and caused no serious side effects. No smell. No excessive bleeding. Felt fine post-LEEP but did experience some bleeding. It's been less than a week so I'll update if anything spooky happens, if no updates then expect everything went fine. No intercourse/tampons/etc for 3 to 6 weeks.
Tips: -Prioritize self care throughout this experience especially. It'll help you stay calm and heal. -Dress comfy for procedures -Take some snacks and water to your appointments for post-procedure ick -Do your research. Knowledge is power even if it makes you uncomfortable. Youtube was a great resource for me, I like to see what's going to happen before it does. Just try not to get worked up like I did. -Ask questions. If a doctor makes you feel stupid, see another doctor if possible. -Have someone with you for support and to make sure you get home ok -If you experience fever, intense pain, soaking through pads, or notice any weird smell: GO TO A DOCTOR

I think that collector's reserve should only give cards and variants, like what's the point in spending 500 credits to get to the reserve and then see 100 credits as a reward. Or collector's tokens, why only 100? Is it better than a kick in the balls? Yes, but I need 1k to get a series 3 card or 5k to get a cool card. I don't understand the titles and icons ether, if you want to give cosmetics to the players give them another type of chest like only for cosmetics such as emotes, icons and titles. I understand that it is for making you spend more money on things, but it's also a shit strategy, on what should i spend them? There is no other way to get cards, it just feels like they want you to buy those pricy bundles. i honestly think that marvel snaps, as it is now, is worse than clash royale in how much it wants you to buy things with money, maybe it's just me

hi everyone! just for a little background, im mixed and inherited my hair texture from my puerto rican father. he never knew how to take care of his hair, and my mom has relatively straight hair so she didn't know how to help either. it curled on its own just fine until i was 12 years old and started straightening my hair daily at a very high heat (425°F) because i was being bullied at school over my curls. im 20 years old now, almost 21, and my hair has been heat-free since 15 years old, when i finally panicked upon realizing my hair wasn't curling after it got wet anymore. my curls have since returned, but i find they now require a lot more maintenance than they did when i was a kid. over the years ive determined i have 3a/3b hair type, but most of the time it looks like a very frizzy 2c because i brush it out or the friction of sleeping on it makes it straighter. i struggle with buildup on my scalp and my hair has a hard time absorbing the moisture it needs. ive heard a lot about Mielle products and was thinking about getting stuff from them, but I can't tell if they have anything that's good for both my hair texture and type. if Mielle doesn't have anything, can anyone recommend other affordable products?
i also figured I'd provide some background on my current routine. i wash my hair every 3-4 days. on wash days, i put Lemonaid Hair Syrup in my hair for several hours (i find it combats the slightly oily scalp and extends time between wash days) and then wash it out with Shea Moisture's low porosity shampoo. then i condition either with Shea Moisture's low porosity conditioner or &honey's melty conditioner. (the low porosity stuff is probably good but i hate how it smells) afterwards i usually let my hair air dry or sometimes i wrap it in one of those twisty hair wraps made of microfiber. i tie my hair in a loose low bun to sleep usually. i brush my hair when i wake up in the morning most days, just dry, with a tangle teezer. my hair usually doesn't get wet again until next wash day. i haven't put in any out-of-shower products like deep conditioner or gel or mousse or anything because i don't know what to use.

Line Widths and Writing Samples: To provide buyers with as much information as possible, I have started to adopt the following line width standards: XXF (.1-.2mm); XF (approx .3mm); F (approx .4mm); M (approx .6mm); B (approx .8mm). Nib flexibility is determined by variation (max line width under pressure) and softness (amount of pressure). Flexibility designations based on variation generally run as follows for an XF/F nib: Semi-Flex (approx. 1mm); Flex (1.2-1.9mm); Superflex (>2mm). All line width measurements are taken with a digital caliper but should be considered approximations providing a general guide. Width may vary slightly depending on type of ink and paper used as well as amount of pressure applied. All writing samples are on Rhodia dot paper using Waterman Serenity Blue.
 
 
1. 1920s Waterman 92 1/2 (BCHR, GPT, lever filler, 14k XF Flex nib). This slender (1/2-sized) model is longer than a ring top but slightly shorter than a 52, measuring 4 3/4” capped and 6” posted. Not to be confused with the later, celluloid 92, this 92 1/2 is made of black chased hard rubber with gold-plated trim. It’s the first I’ve ever encountered. Cap came clipless from the factory (no holes drilled for a clip), but has been outfitted with a gold-plated accommodation clip. Based on its absence from US catalogues, I believe this model was made strictly for foreign export. The barrel has a Canadian imprint while the nib reads “Ideal / England,” it being a common practice for Waterman’s Canadian pens to be finished in England. That 14k nib is a Flexible writer (note change from writing sample after taking measurement. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 3B+ (approx 1.8mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Thin hairlines and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for shaded writing. Condition: fine [C]. This pen has no functional flaws but does show some use. Hard rubber is an even dark chocolate color – still much darker than the brown these can turn. Chasing is significantly yet evenly weakened across the cap and barrel. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Gold-plating on the lever has a sliver of brassing in the center and parts of the clip look tarnished, though I’m not sure this amounts to full-fledged brassing. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel end are weakened but fully legible. An affordable user and a lovely writer for those wondering at what all the fuss is about early Watermans. 2. 1910s Waterman 12 Eyedropper (BCHR, German Silver clip, eyedropper filler, 14k F Superflex nib). This full-sized model measures 5 1/8” capped. This slip-cap eyedropper is made of black chased hard rubber with a rivet clip marked “German Silver” – less common than the standard nickel clips. This pen is an eyedropper. The section unscrews for the barrel to filled using an eyedroppepipette – holds far more ink than a lever filler of the same size. My usual caveats about early eyedroppers apply here. If carried, it is not uncommon to find a little ink on the nib or in the cap. Super-Flexible 14k Ideal NY #2 nib lays down a smooth and consistent F line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.5mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Easy variation and reliably wet flow over its full range of flex make it a great choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: excellent- [B-]. Hard rubber of the cap is dark black with virtually no fading but center of barrel shows fading to dark chocolate under certain lights. Chasing on cap is sharp and deep but barrel chasing is very light and only visible when the light strikes it. German Silver clip is pristine with no brassing or other notable wear. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel is weak but mostly legible while number stamp on barrel-end is all but worn away. 3. c.1918 Waterman 52 (BCHR, NPT w/ Sterling Silver clip, lever filler, 14k XXF Needlepoint Superflex nib). This full-sized model measures 5 5/16” capped. A nice example of Waterman’s celebrated workhorse made of black chased hard rubber with a sterling silver Ideal accommodation clip with “Waterman’s / Made in France” stamped on one side and a hallmark that reads “GP” on the other side (DETAIL PHOTO). This pen came clipless from the factory (no holes drilled for a rivet clip). Super-Flexible 14k Ideal NY #2 nib has a needlepoint width and superb snap-back that gives it a surgically precise feel when writing. It lays down a smooth and consistent XXF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.2mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Insanely responsive snap-back, needlepoint hairlines, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it another excellent choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: excellent [B]. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with virtually no fading. Chasing is weakened a bit yet readily visible over the cap and barrel. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel is quite weak and only partly legible while number stamp on barrel-end is deep and fully legible. Price: $260
 
4. c.1918 Waterman 52 in Box (BCHR, NPT, lever filler, 14k M/B Superflex Factory Stub nib). This full-sized model measures 5 5/16” capped. This pen comes in its original factory box with 5-page pamphlet including care and filling instructions as well as other offerings from Waterman (BOX PHOTO). It’s a clean 52 made of black chased hard rubber with nickel-plated trim including earlier, wide rivet clip. 14k Ideal #2 nib is a Super-Flexible Factory Stub that manages to deliver sharp unflexed variation without compromising smoothness. Under normal pressure it lays down a smooth and consistent M/B line (approx .7mm) on the down-strokes and XF line on the cross-strokes. And the line widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.0mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE – note change in flex grade after measuring). A versatile nib whose responsive snap-back, easy variation, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it well suited to shaded notes under normal pressure and calligraphic writing styles under flex, the Stub grind keeping one’s letterforms neat and straight. Condition: excellent+ [B+]. This pen and the one below came from an estate of someone who seems to have purchased these pens, wrote with them a few times, then stowed them away in their boxes. This one is definitely collector-grade, having seen very little use. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with no discernible fading. Chasing is evenly sharp and crisp. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel-end are deep and fully legible. Box is in sound condition with no torn ends but original owner managed somehow to burn a couple small holes in the paperwork. A boxed 52 with an uncommon nib in uncommonly clean condition. 5. c.1918 Waterman 55 in Box (BCHR, NPT, lever filler, 14k XF Flex/Superflex nib). This oversized model has a thick girth and measures 5 1/2” capped. This pen comes in its original factory box with 5-page pamphlet including care and filling instructions as well as other offerings from Waterman (BOX PHOTO). This pen is made of black chased hard rubber with nickel-plated trim including earlier, wide rivet clip. Commensurably oversized Ideal NY #5 nib yields Super-Flexible variation with Flexible softness. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.1mm) under moderate pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE – note change in flex grade after measuring). Condition: excellent+/near mint [B+]. This pen came from the same estate as the 52 above and also resembles an artifact of a time capsule. Hard rubber retains its factory black color with no discernible fading. Chasing is factory sharp and crisp. Hard rubber surface is smooth with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel-end are deep and fully legible. Box is in sound condition with no torn ends but original owner managed somehow to burn some small holes in the paperwork for this one as well. 6. c.1921 Wahl Pen 72 (BCHR, NPT, lever filler, 14k XXF Superflex nib). This standard sized model measures 5 3/16” capped. Having purchased the assets of the Boston Fountain Pen Company, Wahl began manufacturing fountain pens in 1917. Wahl’s first pens were essentially rebranded Bostons and Tempoints (a NY company they acquired in 1918). The first full-fledged Wahls, dubbed simply “The Wahl Pen,” rolled off out of the factory in 1921. This 72 one of those pens. Its’s made of black chased hard rubber complemented by nickel-plated trim including Wahl’s patented roller-clip. The Wahl Pen is chiefly distinguished from earlier designs by its patented Wahl lever with apexed center. Super-Flexible 14k Wahl Pen #2 nib is a lovely writer. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.4mm) under light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Needlepoint hairlines, superbly responsive snap-back, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it another great choice for calligraphic writing styles. Condition: excellent/near mint [B+]. Hard rubber retains its factory black color with virtually no fading/oxidation. Chasing is factory deep and crisp with no discernible wear. Surface is smooth and lustrous with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes. Nickel-plated trim is exceptionally clean with no brassing or other noteworthy blemishes apart from light scratching to the clip. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel-end are deep and fully legible. Price: $280
 
7. 1910s Parker Lucky Curve 20 (smooth BHR, eyedropper filler, 14k XF/F Superflex/Wet Noodle nib). This full-sized model measures 5 5/16” capped. Parker collectors know all too well how much harder it is to find early Parker eyedroppers compared to say, Waterman 12s. This simple, utilitarian Lucky Curve eyedropper from the early teens is made of smooth, black hard rubber. Slip cap came clipless from the factory (no holes drilled for a clip). Long Lucky Curve feed is intact. This pen is an eyedropper. The section unscrews for the barrel to filled using an eyedroppepipette – holds far more ink than a lever filler of the same size. My usual caveats about early eyedroppers apply here. If carried, it is not uncommon to find a little ink on the nib or in the cap. Early 14k Lucky Curve #2 nib with teardrop breather hole yields Super-Flexible variation with softness and flow verging on that of a Wet Noodle (comparable to a soft dip pen nib). It lays down a smooth and consistent XF/F line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.4mm) under very light pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Thin hairlines with a light hand, strong snap-back, and reliable flow over its full range of flex make it another great choice for calligraphic writing styles such as Copperplate and Spencerian. Condition: excellent [B]. Black hard rubber retains its factory black color apart from minor fading to a deep, dark brown on the barrel visible under certain lights. Surface is smooth and lustrous with no deep scratches or other notable blemishes aside from a group of short scratches to the left of the imprint (see imprints photo). Nib shows a small scuff here and there and a scratch on one tine that has no effect on durability or performance. Manufacturer imprint on barrel and number stamp on barrel-end are deep and fully legible. A lovely writer and the first example of one of these I’ve ever offered. Price: $270
 
8. c.1915 Parker 16 Overlay (gold-filled over BHR, button filler, 14k XF Wet Noodle nib). Measures 4 5/8" capped and 6” posted. While Waterman overlays of this period aren't particularly common, they're far more numerous than their Parker counterparts today. Parker overlays like this one were commissioned to the George W. Heath company in New York, who is credited for some of the finer overlays on early Watermans and Conklins as well. The gold-filled filigree over this black hard rubber ringtop features an exquisitely hand-engraved Art Nouveau pattern as well as an indicia on the barrel for engraving. The pattern is the earlier, more intricate design that's more sought after than the simpler Art Deco pattern of the later 1910s-20s. Barrel overlay is stamped "Parker Fountain Pen" along with patent dates from 1891 and 1905. Pen has an Xmas tree, Lucky Curve feed and knurled blindcap unscrews to reveal brass button for filling. To fill, one simply unscrews the blind cap, submerses the nib, and depresses the brass button once. The fine workmanship of this pen is complemented by an early 14k Lucky Curve #3 nib, a scarce “Lazy S” variant with long tines. The nib is a Wet Noodle with softness, variation, and flow comparable to that of a dip pen nib. It lays down a smooth and consistent XF line that widens to a 4B+ (approx 2.5mm) under minimal pressure (see WRITING SAMPLE). Another nib with astonishingly responsive snap-back giving it a precision feel and you maximum control over the line. Together with its thin hairlines and reliable flow over its full range of flex, this makes for an ideal choice for calligraphic writing styles. Condition: excellent+ [B+]. Overlay shows no brassing, dents, or other notable flaws aside from some pin-sized dings confined to the knurled portion around the top of the cap. Hard rubber retains its dark black color with scarcely any fading. Knurling of blind cap isn’t quite as sharp as it once was and number stamp on barrel-end is faint but legible under bright light.
