Nelson Ferraz has been working with generative AI for a while. I've started collaborating with him on his OpenAI modules. He wrote a module named OpenAI::API, but it required manually writing the code for all of the behavior. With the size of the OpenAI API, the rapid evolution, of said API, the birth of new models and the deprecation of old models, this approach turned out to be unmaintainable.
Thus, that module was deprecated in favor of Nelson's OpenAPI::Client::OpenAI module. Throw the 13K+ lines OpenAPI spec for OpenAI at it and it just works. Further, the module is pretty much a single Perl class rather than a bunch of hand-crafted code.
CPAN authors know it can be hard to keep modules up-to-date (mea culpa, mea culpa!) and this module is no exception. I need this module so I offered to collaborate and created a PR to update it to version 2.0.0 of the OpenAI spec. It now passes all the tests (for those wondering, you need an OpenAI key and it costs $0.04 USD to run the test suite).
In trying to build a Whisper pipeline for that, I found that I couldn't. There was a PR for Whisper support for the older module, but for the newer one, I can't figure out how to get it to issue a request with multipart/form-data support. I've noted the issue in the PR.
If anyone would like to see OpenAI support for Perl, we would dearly love to collaborate with you to make this happen.

Im going to give a bit of context to my family in the first paragraph in case it makes for a better answer, but the main question is below that.
I'm pretty sure my mom will be supportive (she has worn t-shirts with pride flag heart + trans flag heart + supports my 2 non-straight sisters). The only concern is how my dad will react since he tends to make a big deal out of little things, and this is kinda a big thing. He's not against people who are part of the LGBT+ but he doesn't see them as normal. Like when my sisters came out he was just like, okay whatever u do u, but then also called me the only "normal" one. He also grew up with a gay brother and he got beat up for it so I think that's why he perceives people from the LGBT+ community as "not normal". I'm just concerned he is going to freak out and make a big deal out of fear I might get murdered for being trans (like I'm going on a trip with my sis to visit family in Europe and he told us to not tell anyone we're American because "we might get attacked since everyone hates Americans").

Hi all,
I am seeking some advice on how I can convince my mom to let me live with my boyfriend. For some context, we have been dating for just less of a year. Originally, we had planned to move in together about a year later but due to some unforeseen circumstances, his roommate will be moving out pretty soon so we figured that instead of him having to find a new roommate, I could move in instead.
We did talk in depth about this a lot to make sure it would work for both of us. I would be saving on rent, since currently I live alone. It would help me cut back on gas money as well since we live about 2 hours apart and we constantly drive back and forth each week to see each other.
I've tried to address some of the concerns I know that she will have. We are both studying at the moment, so we won't distract each other while we are in university. It's been the same situation where we are with each other pretty often anyways, so I don't see how living together would impact our studies. Since his apartment has two bedrooms, if we argued or needed our own space we would still be able to separate from each other to different rooms. We have lived with each other for around 2 months already (one month during winter break and one month during summer break, when we were done our exams and waiting for the second semester) so we already have a good grasp on each other's living habits and such.

Hello, so a bit of a background: my childhood dog passed away 4 months ago and I have been incredibly lonely since. I am 23 years old and live with my parents. I had been thinking about adopting a cat, I have never owned a cat before. I went to a rescue and ended up filling out a form to foster one of the cats. The plan was for me to foster with the intent of adopting. The paperwork said he’s 2 years old but the veterinary records say he’s 4 years old. When I asked the rescue they said he’s between 2-4 years old. Anyways, the rescue was extremely happy that I chose this cat to foster because they’ve had him there for over a year. Now the thing is my dad is allergic. We did not know that because we’ve never had a cat and my dad has always been fine with dogs. Ever since we brought this cat home my dads been sneezing and taking allergy medication daily and still having some symptoms even with the medication. As for the cat he’s very cute and well behaved. He follows us around the house and he’s pretty chill. I can tell he’s extremely happy to be here, he’s following us around, purring, rubbing on our legs, making biscuits in our laps, and just constantly exploring around the house. Now the issue is my dad is saying we need to give the cat back to the rescue. I feel extremely guilty because the cat has been in the small rescue room for over a year, he is so happy to explore our house and have attention from us. The cat also had a rough start in life, he was a street cat and was rescued with terrible wounds on his neck that ended up needing surgery. He’s completely healed now though. I told my dad that I would really like to keep him until we can find someone to adopt him but he’s not budging and saying I need to call the rescue and have them take the cat back. I’m not sure how likely he is to get adopted due to his age and prior health history. I just feel so incredibly guilty. This cat has literally been in heaven since he’s arrived at our house, the lady who runs the rescue has thanked me a hundred times for fostering him, I can’t just call and say we need to give him back. The cat finally got adjusted to our home and is so happy. I’ve been crying all day I just don’t want this cat to back to the small rescue. Incident 5:
The dental hygienist commented on my gums. “Oh you have such dark gums. I never realized dark-skinned people have dark gums as well.” This in itself is not troubling. But it made me very self-conscious and I obviously couldn’t reply in the moment because she was cleaning my teeth. A colleague commented how there is a distinct line on the side of my hand where the dark skin on the back of my hand meets the lighter-colored skin of my palm. Not troubling by itself. But after several such incidents one does get a bit self-conscious.
This is just the tip of the iceberg of what I have heard from well-meaning and so-called progressive Germans (the kind that denounce AfD). But they still make such comments in my (an immigrant woman of color) presence which I find troubling.
The cluelessness of well-meaning (bio-)Germans when it comes to casual racism and xenophobia sometimes takes me by surprise. These are the same people who point their fingers at the racism of other countries or other people without a bit of self-awareness sadly.
I am not sure what I want to get from this post. I guess I just wanted to vent.

I have seen way too many people treat as some easy to use one shot one kill insta blasting kamehamea. But if you really think about it, it just doesn't even come close to that.

1. You need to get straight above the target to use it. This means pretty much means you need to be able to fly to use it and get far above the target. In combat just getting into this position would be incredibly hard, especially if the target keeps moving under you.
   
2. It takes quite some time for it to hit when you activate it. We see when Hana chant to activate it there's a fuck ton of shit going on before it starts blasting. First the chant, then a massive ass telegraphed glowing circle forms in the sky, then a bunch of baby angels starts flying and only then it finally hits. It seems incredibly easy to dodge unless you're taken completely off guard.
   
3. Even if it hits, whatever damage it does seems to be not very lasting. Megkuna literally didn't seem bothered at all after he had tanked one and proceeded with his porn level acting on Hana. When Yuta uses it Sukuna is able to immediately afterward gain back his footing and start blasting dismantles.
   

It literally only seems to be useful in combat as the sure hit for a domain like how Yuta used it. And even then you need to make sure it hits for some time to kill the target. Using it outside a domain just seems way to messy with the whole "get above the target, start chanting and create this big ass telegraphed glowing ring of death before finally being able to hit".

It’s come to a point where I can’t tell if he is simply being nice or if he he likes me. I had only been there 5 months and I struggled, I don't know why. On paper it was perfect for me and I fought to get his job, but doing it, I don't know. I was just typing letters and data entry, all day. By all day I mean all night since it was the night shift. I also found myself not wanting to do anything at all. I couldn't sleep because my mind was still telling me that I needed to be awake in the morning to get things done, but when you get off at 12:30 at night, you get home and relax, try to catch some TV, try to eat, or anything it's about 3 or 4 in the morning. I go to sleep and I can't sleep because the sun starts going up about 5:00, and I maybe, sleep 2 hours at a time, and then when you're awake you're constantly worried about not doing enough at the house, housework backs up, not doing enough outside, everything is pushed to the weekend, but at the weekend you didn't want to do anything, and even though the job was easy it was boring. I kept falling asleep at work because of all of the stress, and because there is something wrong with me but I don't know what. Then I have to get up during the day to go to the doctor and I'm too tired from not sleeping to do my work, so I ended up calling out. I'm mad at myself because the only time I was able to get any sleep is when I called out and didn't have to go to work.
I missed my daytime ritual from my previous job. I would go to work in the morning, get my coffee, sit in my truck, drink it, sleep, wait for the day to start, and go from there. Going to work at the later hours of the day may seem ideal, but it wasn't, I had less time to my self going to work at 4:00pm than I did going to work at 7:00am. I missed talking to people on the phones.
I'm scared, because I haven't been unemployed in years. I'm looking for a job now but you never know if it will happen or not. One thing I did notice is that after a couple of days of not having a job I did have more motivation and I have done some additional cleaning up around the house. That felt good. I just ask that you pray for me.

I used to be part of a close-knit friendship group from high school. Last year, we had a major argument. One of the girls confided in us about her friend making out with a guy from our school, and in a drunken moment, I mentioned it to the guy. Despite advice to cut them off, I could only I distsnce myself instead.
It's been over six months, and I miss the group dynamic. I've made new friends but haven't found a similar group. Recently, I reached out to the l girl who told the secret about her friend, hoping to rekindle our friendship. Instead of a yes or no, she asked for an explanation about the incident. While I understand her need for clarity, revisiting the incident is exhausting and painful for me. We already spoke about it many times and I’ve already apologised last year.
I hoped she missed me too and wanted to give our friendship another try like we have over 10 + years of friendship and memories, but now it feels like I'm begging for her to take me back. ( Context ) I (17f), have 3 other siblings a older brother (20M), a little brother (16M), and a little sister (15F) and we all have different hair types that require different treatments and products. And as anyone who has 4 type texture hair it’s very expensive to maintain a healthy head full of hair.
Onto the main issue, My father and mommy are split. They haven’t been together for around 10 years now for the abuse my father put my mommy through when she was married to him. When I was 7 years old my mommy filed for divorce and took me and my siblings to a different state. I understand why my mommy left completely. If he would hit her when ever he had a bad day what’s stopping him from hitting us on his bad days?
Anyway after my mother got divorced, She took on the burden of the financial struggle of 4 children who all required different needs and wants. And my father WOULD NOT HELP at all. No money being sent, no visiting us, no nothing. And with the lack of help my mother was getting she TRIED to file for child support, but somehow my father was able to not pay it? Something about him not having an address? So with that my mother came to the realization she had to do this on her own.
But sadly, when my father did come to visit her hurt my mother extremely bad to the point where she couldn’t work for 2 years, without her being in extreme amounts of pain. And that Financially sent my mother completely back. That event and her period of not working made everything so hard to afford for us.
He started sending us money but money that wouldn’t even help us. Money that we had to beg for, begging for him to stop insulting our mother when we asked for money, and his jabs at us living in a significant smaller home where we lived before the divorce.
I noticed very early that my father, was terrible and I would keep him humble by reminding him that he does nothing for us than send us, clothes that aren’t in our size and send us 5$ when we really need things like hair supplies, School supplies, ect.
