2024.06.01 13:59 Typical-Geologist272 AITA for stopping my ex from seeing his child

Just a bit of contect he was never involved in my pregnancy since we broke up when I was 10 weeks pregnant I let him know when we was born and he message me when can I see her.
I arrange for him to see her when she was 5 days old he didnt seem that interested in her at all he never looked at her he held her one during the few hours he saw her. He came again when she was about 2 weeks old and that when the problems started.
He constantly picked fights saying I wasn't allowing him to see her and I was a horrible mother that she's not his as she looks nothing like him etc.
When she was 3 weeks old he tried to end it twice it go that bad the police had to drag him back to the hospital, I said thats since his mental health isnt the best that's its not the best idea for him to be seeing her and we can arrange somthing for when his mental health was better I still messaged him sent in photos and we still ft when he could.
2 weeks later I got a letter though for mediation I message him and he said that his mental health was better and that even if he and said anything I would allow him to see her ( which I never did the planning wasn't the best as when he was buzy I was free amd when I was buzy he was free so him seeing her was difficult to arrange) after I decline he stopped messaging me
8 months later I put in for child support he got his sister to message me to tell me I'm a horrible person for putting in for CS when I don't allow him to see her (i never said he couldnt see her) so I message him to see if he wanted to see her and I would arrange somthing so that he wasn't on his own with her so like at a visitation centre.
We went back and forth for a few days then I asked him it not message me everyday (as all it was is him asking is she was OK and constantly comparing her to his family but when i said oh she gets that from my side of the family he would accuse me of pushing him and his family out and that im trying to turn her against him she was 9 months old at the time) he flipped out on me.
Saying how can I help and support my child if you don't allow me to message. I put back I'm not saying not message just not every day and I might be the arsehole for this but I said that asking how she is amd comparing her to your family isn't helping or supporting her.
Then he went on a rant about how much of a horrible person I am and then demanded to see her or he would take me to court to I Just put fine see you in court then during the conversation he kept trying to argue with me but I had tried to remain civil
A day later I got a call from CS as he had denied being her dad and we had to go wait for a DNA test and I had to answer some question. His family however kept messaging me about the case it was like a message or two a day which I had ignore I ended up closed the CS case as his family kept on harassing me about the DNA test
So aita for stopping him from seeing his child?

2024.06.01 13:59 Picasso_76 CFS and Histamine

Does Coffee and Other Stimulating Plants Affect Addison's or Cortisol?
I have symptoms similar to Addison or CFS ADHD. when I drink coffee I feel more tired, dizzy, foggy head I also have fatigue with rhodiola and saffron.
How can I get tested for Addison's? TSH, T3, T4, morning cortisol, ACTH, DHEA were normal. I have also lost 10 kilos in the past 6 years. My psychological symptoms are difficulty concentrating especially when I am dizzy, is that a sign of low cortisol? Then I have more depressive feelings, I quickly become oriented! If there is little cortisol, also little glucose? I think my psychological complaints are caused by this! I also have this when I eat pure sugars, I feel light-headed, cannot concentrate well and I become depressed, I want to eat more to get more energy. It's a vicious circle. Anxiety, obsessive thoughts, hypochondria, paranoid thoughts! Muscle pain, fibromyalgia that was diagnosed by several doctors. also have low libido, constipation, bloated stomach, digestion problems, blurred vision. I have no headaches, high blood pressure is rather on the low side. Can MCAS, histamine intolerance also cause these complaints? Normally high histamine would cause palpitations, blood pressure increase, redness, flushing,... I have low blood pressure and heart rate!
Would long-term MCAS or histamine intolerance cause Addison Disease, adrenal hypo function, Hypopituitarism, congenital hypopituitarism? Are there people who first had histamine, MCAS before they were diagnosed with Addison's or other problems with adrenal glands, HPA axis, pituitary glands?

2024.06.01 13:57 ellaly Abrupt, significant rise in AMH 2.4 -> 7.6

Abrupt, significant rise in AMH 2.4 -> 7.6 37yo f, normal bmi.
15 Mo ago, I did an online mail away AMH blood test. I was on oral contraceptive. Result was 2.4, per their reference range and my obgyn comment, "normal".
Last week, work up for egg freeze. I had ultrasound with antral follicle count of 34. I got AMH results yesterday at 7.6! I've been off OC for about 11 months. Cycle length 30-32 days. I have no discernable hirsitism, historically very very occasional mild acne, my weight has been stable. No family history of DM, PCOS.
I am due to see the fertility NP on Monday, and reached out to schedule appt with my obgyn about this. However, I am so puzzled by this, I seek the wisdom of online community.
Most specifically, what would cause this shocking rise? Do I have pcos; does it onset like this?
Thank you for your thoughts. My head is spinning and I appreciate any input.

2024.06.01 13:53 _Candid_-_-_Candace_ 35/F from Canada I would love to have a long-term online friend Prefer older people, but same age is okay too

Hello there! So, I'm a 35-year-old woman from Canada. I work online from home and live in a rural area about a 5-mile drive from the nearest town, and there are no neighbors for about a mile in any direction. Being so remotely situated and also living so far out rural, it can feel kind of isolated at times.
A brief synopsis of my life: I have one adopted daughter who is 10. A very close friend of mine passed away 6 years ago leaving a daughter behind who was 4 at the time. I had known her daughter since she was born and had developed a bond with her at that point, and the thought of her having to go into foster care absolutely broke my heart, so I decided to legally adopt her. Her and I have a very special bond, and she's the light of my life! 😊😊
Please include your age, gender, and location when you initially message me in chat just so I have a rough idea of who I'm talking to. And please, no creepy/pervy people; you will just be blocked as soon as I find out what your true intentions are.
I look forward to making a new friend! 😃

2024.06.01 13:52 MiiQ Hexblade Warlock with randomised pact weapon inspired by Crazy Slots from HxH

I've been thinking about possible future character as my current campaign is closing to the end and started thinking of testing out Warlock properly (so far I've only played Genie Warlock in on evening oneshot).
Started creating an idea about tiefling butler that would focus on more on social/utility spells like Invisibility, Suggestion, Charm Person, Fear etc. So avoiding any direct spell that does damage as much as possible. And leave actual damage to just the hexblade/pact of the weapon side of the character.
With that, I came with the idea of having Pact of the Weapon that randomises the weapon everytime I would call for it, similar to Crazy Slots from HunterXHunter. There are some aspects that I am still hesitant on what would actually work and how to make sure it doesn't go overboard or stay lackluster. The pact of the weapon itself does already support this as the weapon with the Improved Pact Weapon, I just leave the decision up to a dice.
Basic things I've tried to think about:
So in essence, when rolling for the weapon, I get whatever the dice decides, and alongside that, my 2 feats would change to accomodate the weapon. If I have no active pact weapon, then the lineage +lvl4 feats do not "exist" in the normal situation. Same goes for the one spell, so if I have no active Pact weapon on my hand, I know one less spell than I would normally.
The 1dX could be anything depending on how many actually good ideas I can come up with for the weapons, I've also thought about that I could have the dice be 2 higher than the weapons formulated, so that one of the outcomes is that I can decide which weapon to take, and the other can be that DM decides it.
Weapon rolls I've thought about
Roll Weapon Feat 1 Feat 2 Spell
1 Glaive Great Weapon Master Polearm Darkness
2 Longbow Sharpshooter Alert Banishing Smite
3 Heavy Crossbow Crowwbow Expert Sharpshooter Branding Smite
4 Greataxe Great Weapon Master Sentinel Spirit Shroud
5 Dagger + Hand Crossbow Crossbow Expert Mobile Thunder Step
6 Sword + Shield Warcaster Shield Master Staggering Smite
7 2x Sickle Fighting Initiate: Two-weapon fighting Dual Wielder Cone of Cold
8 Trident + Net Fighting Initiate: Thrown Weapon Fighting Sharpshooter Cause Fear
9 DM gets to decide from 1-8
10 I get to decide from 1-8
My aim is that there is downside of not knowing what weapon I might get, so I could get something completely useless for the current scenario. But to balance that, the weapons would change my first 2 feat slots + 1 spell slots, so that they are still completely build around.
Current things I'm wondering about:

2024.06.01 13:51 Ok-Test-6935 Case Study on a Hidden Market: The Ultimate Dropshipping Opportunity

Case Study on a Hidden Market: The Ultimate Dropshipping Opportunity
Hey fellow entrepreneurs,
I wanted to share some insights and experiences from exploring the untapped potential of the Indian dropshipping market. As many of you know, dropshipping in the US comes with high costs, including an average CPM of $20-30. However, in India, the CPM is significantly lower, around $1-2. Here’s why I think this market is a goldmine for dropshippers looking to test products and scale their businesses with minimal risk and investment:
  1. Low Cost Per Purchase (CPP):
    • In India, the cost per purchase for a product priced at INR 599 is typically under $1 after optimization. This low CPP makes it incredibly cheap to test products and refine your strategies without burning through your budget.
  2. Easy Scaling:
    • The combination of low CPM and efficient optimization means scaling your business is straightforward. You can achieve high numbers without the stress and financial burden that comes with more saturated markets.
  3. Cash on Delivery Advantage:
    • All orders in this market are processed on a cash-on-delivery basis. This eliminates the need for a payment gateway and reduces the risk associated with online payments. Additionally, multiple suppliers in India are willing to fulfill cash-on-delivery orders without requiring advance payments. They simply deduct their share from the cash collected and remit the rest to you.
  4. Automated Supply Chain:
    • The logistics and supply chain in India for dropshipping are largely automated. With suppliers handling the cash collection and fulfillment, you can focus on scaling your business without worrying about the nitty-gritty of the supply chain.
  5. Competitive Edge:
    • While profit margins may be thinner in this market, making a profit is relatively easier due to the low ad costs and reduced competition. Unlike larger markets where only a small fraction of dropshippers succeed, the barrier to entry and success in the Indian market is much lower.
Why Consider the Indian Market?
  • Low Required Capital: The initial investment needed is significantly lower due to the cheap ad costs and cash-on-delivery model.
  • Reduced Competition: The Indian market is less saturated compared to Western markets, making it easier to carve out a niche and build a successful business.
  • Scalability: With automated supply chains and supportive suppliers, you can scale your operations with ease.

In today's competitive business landscape, ensuring the highest quality standards is paramount for sustained success and customer satisfaction.
This is where outsourcing quality inspection services come into play. By entrusting this crucial aspect of their operations to specialized third-party providers, businesses can reap numerous benefits, including cost savings, efficiency gains, enhanced quality control, and access to expertise and specialized tools.
In this article, we will explore the top 12 benefits of outsourcing quality inspection services in 2024 and how it can help businesses thrive in an ever-evolving marketplace.

Introduction

Outsourcing quality inspection services involves hiring external professionals or agencies to assess and monitor the quality of products or services.
This can include various aspects such as conducting inspections, audits, and tests to ensure compliance with industry standards.

Growing importance of quality inspection in the business landscape

In today's competitive market, maintaining high-quality standards is crucial for businesses to gain a competitive edge and build customer trust.
Quality inspection helps identify and rectify any deficiencies or defects, preventing costly recalls or customer complaints.
As customer expectations continue to rise, businesses are increasingly realizing the importance of investing in quality inspection services to maintain their reputation and ensure customer satisfaction.

Top Benefits of Outsourcing Quality Inspection Services

1. Reduction in operational costs through outsourcing
Outsourcing quality inspection services can lead to significant cost savings for businesses.
Instead of investing in expensive equipment, training, and hiring dedicated personnel, outsourcing allows businesses to pay only for the services they require.
This eliminates the need for additional fixed costs and can result in substantial operational cost reductions.
2. Streamlining quality inspection processes for improved efficiency
By outsourcing quality inspection, businesses can benefit from streamlined processes and improved efficiency.
External professionals have the expertise and experience to conduct inspections more quickly and accurately, saving time and resources.
This allows businesses to focus on their core functions and allocate resources more effectively, ultimately improving overall productivity.
3. Leveraging the knowledge and experience of quality inspection professionals
Outsourcing quality inspection services provides access to a pool of skilled professionals who specialize in various industries and have extensive knowledge in quality management.
These experts bring valuable insights and best practices to the table, helping businesses identify potential issues and implement effective quality control measures.
Leveraging their expertise can significantly enhance the overall quality of products or services.
4. Utilizing advanced tools and technologies for accurate inspections
Quality inspection professionals are equipped with advanced tools and technologies that enable accurate and comprehensive inspections.
These tools can include state-of-the-art testing equipment, software for data analysis, and specialized measurement devices.
By outsourcing quality inspection, businesses gain access to these advanced tools without the need for substantial upfront investments, ensuring accurate assessments and reliable results.
5. Ensuring consistent quality standards through outsourcing
Outsourcing quality inspection services ensures consistent adherence to quality standards.
External professionals follow standardized processes and protocols to conduct inspections, leading to reliable and consistent results.
This consistency helps businesses maintain their quality standards across different product lines, preventing variations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
6. Meeting industry regulations and compliance requirements
Compliance with industry regulations and standards is critical for businesses to operate legally and maintain ethical practices.
Outsourcing quality inspection services allows businesses to stay updated with the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
Quality inspection professionals are well-versed in industry regulations and can help businesses meet compliance requirements, minimizing the risk of legal issues or penalties.
7. Adapting inspection services based on business needs and demands
Outsourcing quality inspection services offers businesses the flexibility they need to adapt their inspection processes based on their ever-changing needs and demands.
As your business grows and evolves, so do your requirements for quality control. By outsourcing, you can easily customize your inspection services to ensure they align perfectly with your specific business objectives.
8. Scaling up or down quality inspection operations efficiently
One of the greatest benefits of outsourcing quality inspection services is the ability to scale your operations efficiently.
Whether you're experiencing a sudden surge in production or facing a temporary slowdown, outsourcing allows you to quickly and seamlessly adjust your inspection services accordingly.
No need to stress about hiring and training additional staff or minimizing costs during slower periods. With outsourcing, you can easily ramp up or down your inspection operations as needed, saving both time and money.
9. Allowing businesses to concentrate on their core functions
Outsourcing quality inspection services permits businesses to focus on what they do best: their core competencies.
You didn't start your business to become an expert in quality control, right?
By entrusting this important task to specialized professionals, you can free up valuable time and resources to focus on the aspects of your business that truly set you apart from the competition.
10. Allocating resources towards strategic initiatives and business growth
When you outsource quality inspection, you're not only freeing up time but also valuable resources.
Instead of spending money on building an in-house quality control department, you can allocate those funds towards strategic initiatives and fuel your business growth.
Whether it's investing in research and development, expanding into new markets, or improving your overall customer experience, outsourcing allows you to invest your resources where they matter most.
11. Mitigating risks associated with substandard products or services
By outsourcing quality inspection services, you are taking proactive steps to mitigate the risks associated with substandard products or services.
Quality control experts can identify defects and non-compliance issues early on, preventing potential recalls, customer dissatisfaction, and costly legal battles.
By catching problems before they reach the market, you can safeguard your reputation and ensure your customers receive only the highest quality products.
12. Strengthening relationships with suppliers through effective inspections
Outsourcing quality inspection services also contributes to building stronger relationships with your suppliers.
Effective inspections not only hold suppliers accountable for meeting quality standards but also provide valuable feedback and suggestions for improvements.
By working collaboratively with your suppliers, you can foster a culture of continuous improvement and drive greater efficiency throughout your supply chain.

2024.06.01 13:50 Choice-Ad6376 Ac started the turned off including thermostat

Turned on the ac for the 2nd time this year. It ran for about a minute and then turned off. Noticed the thermostat had turned off too. (It is a ecobee smart thermostat). Checked breaker box but the breaker didn’t trip. Tried flipping the breaker off then back on. Did not fix issue. Breaker box and ac are on the same side yard and I kinda smelled something burnt ish over there. Also ac has a quick disconnect like box attached to it. I noticed the 2 110 outlets that are on the quick disconnect still work even when the breaker for the ac is turned off and a green light on the outlets says monthly test is still on. Looking online it says it maybe a capacitor went bad? Is that the most likely case? How can I verify? Newish house built 2018 and rheem ra13 series ac unit.
TLDR ac won’t turn on and trying to figure out if I need to talk to hvac guy or electrician?

2024.06.01 13:50 GuavaApprehensive206 Decision.

Decision.
Didn’t know post traumatic arthritis(knee) is apart of the original claim VA. Even tho you said it was a secondary claim…
Thanks for not even reviewing the arthritis or acknowledging it on my decision letter. No denial no mention of it For the record these are joints I had surgery on. The va completely ignored my arthritis claims re wrote my original knee award. Original award for my knee was chondromalacia patella well with the screen shots I’m about to load your going to see they completely left my shoulder untouched and updated my knee adding to the verbiage that I also had acl surgery and there’s arthritis with out giving me a secondary rating for arthritis even tho is admitted to be post traumatic. I also have arthritis in my shoulder but like i said they didn’t even care. Re iteration that added arthritis of my knee to the already existing claim even tho it’s admitted to be post traumatic which makes it a secondary. They didn’t even acknowledged the shoulder arthritis even though that’s worse’s they didn’t even added to the screen shot like the knee.

2024.06.01 13:45 nira_7 Are these characteristics of an ISTP or not? And what is an enneagram if you can guess

1) I hate restrictions. I hate things and relationships that make me unable to act naturally and freely. 2) I am suspicious of most things, and cannot quickly trust people or information, even if it is from fairly reliable sources, etc. 3) Confidentiality. 4) I love to learn a lot, especially if it is related to topics that interest me. 5) I always like to think rationally and logically, and I always try to be logical. 6) I am able to relate events well. 7) I don't like to depend on anyone or anything. I like to rely only on myself. 8) I prefer to be alone and do the things I love alone. 9) I like to learn through my previous experiences. 10) My style of discussion is: I listen to the other party and wait for him to complete his point of view, even if his point of view conflicts with mine. I try to understand his point of view and see the evidence and arguments. If I am convinced, this is normal, and if I am not convinced, this is normal. I am one of the calmest people in the debate and the type who does not attack, does not rush, or gets angry because the other party does not resemble my point of view. 11) The first impression of me is always that I am quiet, I don't talk much, and I am somewhat serious, and people almost avoid me at first because of my semi-serious appearance. 12) People call me cold.. 13) I don't take the initiative. 14) If I'm with people I care about, I'll talk and laugh normally, but if I don't like people, they'll see me as cold and not talking much. 15) I ignore a lot. 16) I do not like for anyone to praise me because I do not know what to do or what is the appropriate reaction to give, so I try to ignore the praise and treat myself as if I do not hear it, and if I want to say something, I will just say thank you. 17) I always hide my feelings, I do not like to show them to anyone, and I always suppress them. 18) I value personal space very much, and I do not like anyone to enter my life, nor do I like to enter people’s lives. 19) I like to help people I care about. 20) I am afraid to show people facts about me because I am afraid that people will use them against me 21) I do not like to be a leader, but if there is no leader and I see that everyone is not good at assuming the leadership position, then I donate and take it and be strict and harsh because I believe that the quality of strictness should be in a leader. 22) Care a lot about how some things work. 23) I love sports. For example, I love martial arts, I love running, I love playing football, etc., but I do not practice them because circumstances do not allow me. 24) I love scientific things such as mathematics and physics, and I love learning them and delving into them. 25) I don't make detailed long-term plans for the future. If I want to make plans, I'll make plans with bullet points or simple details, but more often than not I make plans with bullet points to the point that it's very natural for me to keep them in my head, and not have to write them down on notes or paper so I can remember them. 26) I hate emotional talk. 27) I hate physical contact. 28) I like to take things apart to see how they work and what they are made of. I don't fix it, but I would like to know how it works. 29) I don’t like compliments, so I don’t always compliment and be honest. 30) I get bored quickly sometimes. 31) I don't care about people leaving my life, this is very normal for me and I get over it very quickly. 32) I don't think about the future or the past much. Mostly, I focus on the present. 33) To be honest, sometimes I like rules and follow them, but not always. 34) I always like to search for the exact meaning of words. 35) I am always interested in developing myself scientifically. 36) I like deep and realistic thoughts. 37) I love and appreciate respect, and if I respect someone and he does not respect me, I will get angry and perhaps hurt him. 38) I do not like when others underestimate my abilities, and if someone underestimates my abilities, I try to prove my abilities to him. 39) I show my interest in a person through actions, not words. I show this by encouraging and supporting him with what he does, sharing tips, sharing my knowledge with him, asking how he is doing, helping him when he needs me, but I never like emotional talk. 40) I'm not a bit of a nervous person. 41) I know a lot about my surroundings without any effort on my part, but I do not talk about it. 42) I like to go to the library and read books there, but circumstances do not allow me to read books on the Internet. 43) I can do things even if I don't know how. I mean I can draw even though I don't know. I mean my senses are almost ready to do anything, even if I don't know. 44) I prefer to learn by myself. 45) At first people are always afraid to approach me because I look serious and sharp, but only when you get to know me. If people I feel comfortable with and care about. I will be helpful, I can be kind, I will joke with them and laugh. I'm the exact opposite when I'm with people I don't feel comfortable with and I don't care about them. 46) If someone asks for an opinion on something, I will give him my advice based on my previous experiences, analysis of the situation, and the information I have on this topic. 47) I hate being controlled by people. 48) I have good self-confidence. 49) I love realistic and tangible things, and I can use my senses with them, and I love applying them to reality if they can be applied to reality. 50) I like isolation and do not like meeting people. 51) I don't laugh a lot, but I smile and not a lot either. 52) Almost everyone around me says I'm complicated. 53) I do not like noise, loud voices, and screaming. 54) I don't cry much and it's rare for me to do so. 55) I have a kind of apathy. 56) When I am with myself, I feel comfortable, entertained, and happy, unlike when I am with others. 57) I don't care about the things that surround me if they don't interest me. 58) I hate memories, and if people give me a memory, I will throw it away. The thing is, I hate memories and I hate making memories in general. 59) I have a fairly good sense of humor, but it doesn't show to anyone and doesn't always show. 60) I don't complain, I hate complaining, and I hate people who complain a lot. 61) I have an obsession with education and knowledge. I'm literally afraid that I won't be able to think logically and correctly because I don't have enough knowledge, so I love learning and I love knowledge. 62) Maybe I am mysterious and I keep many things in my life and do not reveal them. 63) Not committed most of the time. 64) I don't care about criticism. 65) I never, ever give up, whenever I fail, I try again. 66) I have a little bit of narcissism and a little bit of paranoia to a degree that is not always obvious. 67) One time a family member told me that you always answer me (it's normal, it's not a problem, I don't know....) My answers are like this because the topic does not interest me. This means that if something doesn't matter to me, I can't pretend that I do. 68) I was described as not caring about people’s feelings, cold and very frank, not interested in relationships, quiet, mysterious, flexible in speech, with a courageous personality, good at school, intelligent and introverted.
Note: I will take your opinions as a guess only because no one knows themselves better than themselves.
