2024.05.17 11:21 SearchForLove 28[M4F] #chandigarh / #online - tall fit nerdy ambiverted creative guy who works in finance / programming.

What I'm looking for -
Anything goes really. We can spend quality time online or we can meet in real in a few weeks if you are closer to haryana or punjab or chandigarh or delhi . (I also visit mumbai sometimes )
(If you are from outside India, that's also fine since I don't care which part of the world I live in if I can be with someone I love.)
Then we can go for long walks, go on a date/outing. While I love physical affection like cuddles, hugs, kisses , I love a nice company too and will respect your boundaries if you don't want to be touched in the first meeting.
Ideally, I'm looking for a meaningful medium term relationship but which has a potential to turn into something everlasting in future. But I'm open to casual setups too in case you feel you aren't ready for serious commitment.
I don't understand people who go through traditional route of arrange marriages. How can they bypass this dating phase and jump into the nuptials directly. Also, if you don't test out the compatibility beforehand, you could very well end up in a deadbedroom situation, which is big cause of divorce.
Personality type :
Physically, I'm tall ( 6'0" ), cute, neither the most handsome nor ugly, average built and medium wheatish complexion.
I am a semi-introvert. - I don't have social anxiety or anything but I am avoidant of certain people, yet find it easy to talk to strangers. Although I can't approach women in real life. I'm pretty blunt by nature. I can speak well in stage and on public , get into conversations with Co-passengers in trains, buses etc. Yet, I feel intimidated/uncomfortable talking to my relatives, immediate neighbors, school friends. I'm fluent in English and Hindi.
I'm more the thinking type than feeling. But I do feel bad for hurting someone. I fall In love fast but do not get attached too fast.
I'm super blunt and straightforward. Sometimes chill, sometimes intense. I have great anger control, a friendly amicable temperament.
I prefer voice chat because although time is not an issue for me, we can express emotions clearly and I can explain myself more elaborately than text where I have to cut down. But texting is good too and has its own advantages. Or alternatively, if you are not comfortable speaking, you can just listen. I can sing you a song on call.
Hobbies and passions :
I love watching crime, thrillers and inspirational movies. I love reading books especially non fiction books and web articles, forums, blogs.
I like puzzle games / board games. . I don't play much video games anymore. But I can play to give you company. MOBA, FPS, anything .
I used to play all kinds of sports in my college days but now it's just football & badminton

2024.05.17 11:19 phayek Unnecessary RTA Re-Examination Fees for Minor Test Issue

Hi everyone,
I recently failed my RTA driving test - not due to poor driving, but because I didn’t notice that the passenger door was marked as open due to a loose rubber seal hanging halfway. This is part of the dashboard check, but it feels excessively harsh given that my driving was otherwise flawless. Despite this, RTA insists I pay for 4 additional hours of classes just to rebook the test.
I know it is common for RTA to require extra classes if you fail, but this is such a minor oversight, one that clearly doesn't necessitate 4 additional hours of training.
I am willing to pay the fee to retake the exam, but paying for unnecessary classes seems like a waste of both my money and time. Does this policy make sense to anyone? Iwould appreciate hearing if anyone else has faced similar situations and how they managed.
Thanks for your insights!

2024.05.17 11:17 Jdr4real My mom, The narcissist

I lived an entire 18+ years enduring her abuse. I was abuse emotionally, physically, mentally and even spiritually in her "Born again Christian phase". Mom didn't like men and especially not the son who looked like the man who escaped her abuse. She used my father for money and them used my birth to blackmail him by threatening his military career with jag. From my end of the equation, I would always ask about him and what I received in return was defensive attitude. Even worse was that she would always tell me he was white. So I grew up with an identity crisis from hell. I was lonely because she didn't like being a single mother she just liked the attention it brought her and she would often use me as bait to lure good natured people in so she could use them. It was hard because I wasn't taught anything growing up so I was always the "Dumb kid" or because she didn't like me being any form of masculine "The gay kid". After 30 years I took a DNA test and found out shed lied to me for 30 years about everything. My father and my ethnicity. When I confronted her, she simply responded, "I wish the tests didn't exist, I'd of lied to you for 30 more years". She bullied me to impress her friends and new boyfriends, also allowed her friends and friends kids to mistreat me. She now has the nerve to wonder why I never come around and my very aloof sister judges me for not helping mom. So does the family. Fuck them all.

2024.05.17 11:09 supremebamandy When to announce my pregnancy to new employer.

Pregnancy announcement to new employer
Hi all. So I am 25 weeks pregnant ( I’ve had two miscarriages so I’ve always been weary about telling people soon) and got let go of my last job ( long unrelated story) so I have been in search of a new job. I finally got a new job and went through my first interview, I did not mention I was pregnant. This job is remote after this first month of training. Because I am in need of the money and the job is remote I am looking to take about 15 days off work and then go back to working from home. The process was supposed to be one interview with one of the owners and then an interview with the direct supervisor before being hired. I was planning to let my direct supervisor know in my second interview my plan. However the owner loved me so much he decided to fast track the onboarding. Today he emailed me the offer letter and the documents for background check and drug test. Which I signed all three and completed my drug test. I go in tomorrow to finish signing some paperwork and then pending background check and drug test I will be hired. ( 10 days PTO front loaded in first day of employment which is absolutely PERFECT for my plans.) I still have not met with my direct supervisor. I don’t believe I will until after employment. I am not worried about that part as it is a perfect job in the perfect field.
Question is… do I tell him tomorrow that I’m pregnant and my plan for leave? Or should I wait until I’m hired and speak to my direct supervisor about it when I meet them? Or wait until I am past my second trimester and they see my skills and that I’m worth it and then let them know?
I hate keeping secrets. But I need/want this job and don’t want to mess anything up. Even though I know it’s not legal for them to deny me because of pregnancy.

The pre-season program
Six and a half weeks after the last game of the season against Borussia Mönchengladbach, the VfB players will start their preparations for the new season on 4 July. Here is an overview of the test matches that have already been confirmed.
In mid-August, things will get really serious for VfB: On the weekend of Friday, 16 August, to Monday, 19 August, the first round match in the DFB Cup is scheduled. Who head coach Sebastian Hoeneß's team will face will be decided in two weeks. Because the draw for this cup round will take place on Saturday, June 1, at 6 p.m. on the ARD Sportschau.
Regardless of this, the VfB players will play six friendlies between the start of training on 4 July and the start of the season. They will contest the first of these on Sunday, July 7. Then VfB will play at 3 p.m. in the JAKO test match at Oberliga club FSV Hollenbach. The following weekend, VfB will play a friendly at Swiss Super League club FC Luzern on Saturday (13 July) at 3 p.m. Another week later, on Saturday (20 July) at 2 p.m., they will play Fortuna Sittard from the Dutch Eredivisie in Heilbronn. The following two friendlies will take place in Japan, where VfB will play Kyoto Sanga F.C. on 28 July and Sanfrecce Hiroshima on 1 August. The last pre-season game is scheduled for Saturday, August 10. All ticket information for the respective test matches will be announced in good time.
The first Bundesliga matchday is scheduled for the weekend of 23 to 25 August. VfB fans should also mark another date in their calendars: The draw for the new Champions League season will take place on 31 August – with VfB.

2024.05.17 11:01 John_Swift1 Behavioral Competencies - SHRM TOPIC

Based on my understanding, behavioral competencies relate specifically to the Situational Judgement questions of the SHRM-CP test, which make up about 50% of the exam. There really isn’t any new information covered. Behavioral Competencies focus more on mindsets instead of technical information. A lot of this section can be condensed down to “SHRM-Think”. Basically, pick the answebusiness decision that best supports the organization’s strategy/vision, also any answer that paints HR as a strategic component in an organization. SHRM’s own vision is for HR to become more of a strategic part of a business as opposed to an administrative part, so pick the answers that support that vision. Definitely approach this section last, after you have a good understanding of the technical competencies (People, Organization, Workplace). Technical competencies are kind of like cooking ingredients. Simply knowing the technical competencies is like knowing the characteristics of each ingredient, without knowing their limitations, or what they work well with. Behavioral competencies represent the cooking experience gained from actually using these ingredients. Instead of memorizing hundreds of recipes (how to respond to each specific scenario), try to understand which flavors work well together (More specifically, the flavors that SHRM thinks works well together, which is whatever best supports the organization’s strategy). I hope that makes sense. The correct response to most of the situational judgement questions will depend heavily on the context, so a good understanding of SHRM-think will be your biggest asset. Behavioral competencies are broken up into three clusters:
Leadership Cluster
Leadership and Navigation Ethical Practice
Interpersonal Cluster
Relationship Management Communication Global and Cultural Effectiveness
Business Cluster
Business Acumen Consultation Critical Evaluation
Overview: These are things that HR people are expected to be able to say and do given any set of circumstances they may face. Proper responses depend on experience, careful thought, and knowledge. It isn’t enough to memorize facts. What is important is how those facts can be blended with the situation to produce a proper response or employee treatment. That is called situational awareness. HR professionals must be capable of working with problems within their context. It isn’t enough to say, “You can’t use that written employment test.” There needs to be an analysis of why the test was wanted by the hiring manager in the first place. Situationally, there may be some valid alternative approaches to the real problem of identifying the talent needed. Behavioral competencies are a critical part of an HR professional’s life. #shrm

2024.05.17 10:52 DuePercentage6794 Test u with test e?

Hi all, I'm currently on test u (nebido) through the NHS on a 8 week protocol which I have been for three years now due to very low levels.
I've gained significant muscle/strength working out 4x a week with test levels between 43 nmol week 2 and 20 nmol week 7.
I'm 6ft 90kg and do powerlifting and strength training.
Im at a stage now where I'm thinking of adding some decent quality anavar to my cycle and also maybe some test e? Can I add test e in? If so what weeks and how much?
Please don't tell me to get off nebido, it's free for me and I have no other option other than to go private which I can't afford atm.
Thanks.

2024.05.17 10:37 ChuckolaReserve Request: week long bike rental - short rider, no luck at rent a bike 44

Hi everyone, wondering if you have shop recommendations for longer term bike rentals that aren't 'rent a bike 44?' I headed over and tested 7(!) bikes the owner thought would be my size, and all of them were off. My arms were stretched too far out from the handlebars, no matter how I adjusted the seat. Understandably, he did not want to bring any more out for me to test and disapprove of (and obviously I felt awful for wasting his time.)
I'm 5'3/160 cm. Even large children sized bikes are too small, but most size small adult bikes are too big. I typically fit on bikes that are ~148-151 cm.
I'm also staying with someone as a tourist further out (an hour bike or train ride away, 'Köllnische Vorstadt' neighborhood) for a week, which is why I didn't 'settle' for bikes that were good enough but just a little off size wise - I don't want to hurt myself by biking for 15 - 45 km each day on something that doesn't fit.
Also hoping it won't be an arm and a leg as obviously nothing will beat rent a bike 44's 6 euros a day or Donkey Republic's 40 euros a week offerings (as they no longer operate in the city of Berlin anyway), but other places I'm checking are charging up to 20 euros a day.
Edit: I'd prefer ongoing/rolling rental as things like nextbike, lime, tier etc. all charge an arm and a leg per minute/hour, regardless of picking them up as is or subscribing to a pass or plan. I know I'll want to make several pit stops in a day, and it just isn't feasible despite their convenience.
Edit 2: Swapfiets 'reserve a bike online' option - no matter how far I click out on their calendar widget, every day says they're booked full and can't accept any more reservations to pick a bike up in store.

2024.05.17 10:26 Agilex_Robotics AgileX achieves two-arm collaborative tasks based on Mobile Aloha

AgileX achieves two-arm collaborative tasks based on Mobile Aloha
Showcase: AgileX achieves two-arm collaborative tasks based on Mobile Aloha
Mobile Aloha is a whole-body remote operation data collection system developed by Zipeng Fu, Tony Z. Zhao, and Chelsea Finn from Stanford University. link.
Based on Mobile Aloha, AgileX developed Cobot Magic, which can achieve the complete code of Mobile Aloha, with higher configurations and lower costs, and is equipped with larger-load robotic arms and high-computing power industrial computers. For more details about Cobot Magic please check the AgileX website
https://preview.redd.it/9mcp67vmcy0d1.jpg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f62c8fe8aad2e954537c6ce16142e10594173fbc
In previous projects, AgileX successfully implemented the entire process of data collection, data replay, model inference and reproduction for the single-arm gripping task based on Mobile Aloha. Now AgileX collects more and more complex data and achieves the entire reasoning process of the dual-arm long sequence multi-target gripping task.

Task description

The task can be described as: First, stretch out the right arm, pick up the black block from the table, and then place the black block on the horizontally placed box in the center of the table. Then place the right robotic arm back, and at the same time stretch out the left robotic arm, pick up the red block from the table, and place it on the central box on the desktop. Finally, put the left arm back in its original place.
https://i.redd.it/7x3jmj3b4y0d1.gif
Compared with the previous tasks, the difficulty of this task has been upgraded: from the original short sequence to a long sequence task. Upgrading from a single robotic arm mission to a dual robotic arm mission. The target of clamping also changes from single to multiple.

Data Collection

In this task, the Orbbec DaBai camera is used to collect at a frequency of 30HZ, and contains 50 sets of acquisition data, and each set of data is collected at a fixed step size. Camera data contains color images, depth images, and point cloud information. The data collection platform is equipped with 2 master arms and 2 followepuppet arms.
https://i.redd.it/tlzko9td4y0d1.gif

Data Replay

The data replay script loads and reads the collected joint data and reproduces it as it is.
https://i.redd.it/g9510p8g4y0d1.gif

Inference

Aloha is implemented based on the ACT (Action Chunking with Transformers) algorithm model. See the figure below for the specific model
https://preview.redd.it/506vwbys4y0d1.png?width=1131&format=png&auto=webp&s=551b148f7af0581b2528980d87abdf4458317a3b
Perform model training and inference. Pick up the black block correctly with your right arm and place it on the middle box of the table. The left arm also successfully picked up and placed the red block.
https://i.redd.it/1h6disg05y0d1.gif
The black and red blocks were manually placed back from the central box on the table. The robotic arm still recognized that the object on the box had been removed and successfully completed the task again: the right and left arms respectively picked up the black and red blocks and placed them back on the central box on the table.
https://i.redd.it/5a0fr7r25y0d1.gif

Generalization

Add interference to the original data set task actions to test the generalization ability of the model. After the left arm finished a whole task and went back to the initial place, the red black on the central box was then manually removed and placed back on the table. The right arm detected that the black block didn’t change its position, so no picking action was performed. The left arm found that the red bolck was removed, so picked it onto the central box.
https://i.redd.it/qy6fvv3s5y0d1.gif

Summary

In this case, AgileX successfully achieved the entire process of data collection, model training and inference, and generalization ability verification for a two-arm multi-target grasping task based on Mobile Aloha. AgileX will continue to collect more scenes and more complex tasks, so please stay tuned.

2024.05.17 10:24 BigBreath AI=Business? LMAO

Lol NO! With all the buzz around this world and every company trying to incorporate some form of AI into their business to push their stock price up, I think it's bullshit. But hey, disclaimer: I made two AI businesses and have 2 years of experience in this field, and here is everything I have learned.
My first business was an insurance-based blog completely built with AI. I sold that for $6700 within the first year. I know it's not much, but I needed the money to survive as I was broke.
Now I run a YouTube channel primarily focused on building AI businesses. I started it last year following the trend of AI and unsurprisingly, it grew quite well. I gained about 20k subs and earned quite well combined with all the sponsorship and ad revenue. I get about 5-10 sponsor emails a day, 80% of which go unread. But the other day, I was scrolling through a few of my older sponsor emails and tried testing out a few of their products. Surprisingly, most of their websites were shut down or their products had changed completely from what they had emailed me about.
It was strange for me at first, as these companies did have good money to sponsor but did not have enough to keep running their websites or continuing their products.

So what's the reason?

It all starts to make sense once you start using their product. It's completely dogshit I will be honest. 99% of the AI products available out there right now are just riding the hype train. As cool as it sounds majority of these products have no selling point.
I have used tons thousands of AI products and out of all those ChatGPT is the only one that truly can make a difference for you every other AI product has no real value to offer. The majority of the AI products out there are just reskinned versions of either ChatGPT or Midjourney.
All these companies are VC-backed and initially make a lot of noise with sponsorship and everything but none of these works as not many turn into paying customers.
Most of the new startups are trying to focus on niche problems and trying to solve them using AI. Which I think is a really good initiative and I fully support it. But here is what they miss, they aren’t useful enough for people to ditch the free version of ChatGPT or other such free AI tools and use their product.
Invideo, AI is a good example of such a problem. They are trying to revolutionize the video creation space by integrating AI and also making an AI-based video generator where you just put in the prompt and the AI makes a video on its own from it. Sounds good. Seeing this I thought to put an affiliate link on Invideo in my video descriptions. I got around 600 sign-ups in total and 0 conversions. YES, 0 conversions from 600 sign-ups. Now keep in mind that my channel is very much focused on AI business and video creation so my channel is a perfect fit for their product, but it did not work out even then. I tested out the product and the results were bad, I mean sure it can create videos on its own but the quality is so shit that it can’t be used anywhere.

So who will win this?

So if everything is so bad, then why am I in this business? Well, this is where the opportunity lies. You cannot build a business completely on AI and sell the service because it's very difficult to meet people's expectations to make them a paying customer because in this field people expect way too much than they actually should.
So what can you sell? The best AI business right now I think is to automate your process using some AI tools to get faster results or to outsource. You cannot sell Ai as a business right now.
Companies like OpenAI, and Google have infinite cash, and they can sell this service quite easily but for people like us, it's really difficult to sell AI as a service.
If this post helped you in any way then it would mean a lot if you subscribed to my newsletter based on the same topic: Replace Human

2024.05.17 10:18 Dependent_Remove_326 Tenacity

Please be gentle, it's been bouncing around in my brain forever.
"Good morning class. as we continue our lecture on our war like members of the Federation. This week we will be discussing humans." Hand raises, sigh. "Yes Twicx." "But humans are not warlike they didn't even post scores during last year's fleet wargames." "Well, if you let me continue with my lecture you will find out that answer. Sit down."
"Why is one of the Federations most friendly races at the top of this list of war races? The Grog are 1000 kg and can lift some races tanks. The Sevetm are so nibble that they are unrivaled at close quarters battle and fighter craft."
"Humans evolved on a hell planet with the highest biodiversity of any planet found in this galaxy. And probably any other. More species go extinct on their home planet Earth a day then some cradle worlds have ever had. They have become the super apex predator of this planet where every biome has animals that will hunt and eat humans. At one point there were 5 different species of humans competing to survive. Put your hand down Twicx. To this day the planet is home to no less then 13 pre-sapient species."
"This crucible of evolution has created a super predator that most of the galaxy often finds cute and cuddly. They have evolved 3 traits in my humble opinion that set them above other species in the theater of combat. Yes, Twicx I see your hand put it down or I will remove you from class. These traits are as follows and will be on the test."
"1) Pack bonding: Humans will bond with almost anything, some cases even inanimate objects and will swarm like hive drones if a bond partner or child is harmed. Not just their own children either. whole villages would endanger themselves to find one lost child that was not even from their village."
"2) Combat Drugs: When a human is stressed just like many other species from Earth, they release a combination of hormones that most super soldier programs would be scared to even administer. In fact, most of these chemicals are illegal and considered war crimes to administer to troops. Adrenaline, Cortisol, and several Catecholamines are released from a gland attached to a part of their digestive system. This reduces pain, increases the bodies available strength, increases nerve response, increases blood flow, and adds more energy molecules into their blood stream, I think it is called Glucose, a form of drink sweetener. Look up their properties tonight as your homework then discuss on the class forum. I expect 3 posts of no less than 300 words this week. Where was I? Oh yes."
"3) Tenacity: A purely human concept. Humans are what is called a pursuit or persistence predator, they are slower and weaker than even most of the pray species on Earth but what they could do was run their pray to exhaustion and death. Human elderly are known to be able to run 42 kilometers without stopping to rest with minimal training. This ability has created a psyche that does not stop due to adversity. Thier history is full of examples of soldiers that fought to the death and at time won when surrounded just because they refused to bow to their enemy or to give others a chance to escape. This tenacity influences every part of their lives. From technological research: Don't tell me it can't be done. To their combativeness with authority: I will not wear green on Friday, I don't want to, and you can't make me. A human Marine I once met summed it up as: Because fuck you make me!""
This evolution has created a species that thrives in adversity. In fact, most humans do not like living on gaia class worlds because they find them too boring. In fact, studies have shown that humans without some competition or conflict in their lives show increased mental instability and have a severely decreased life span. This is why they scare just about every other military in the Federation. Thank you class and have a good day."
"Oh, Twicx, to answer your question you should really lookup who the red force during the fleet games is. It's their reserve fleet, their part time volunteers. And you know that Red Force usually wins, even in very disadvantageous scenarios. Now get out."

2024.05.17 10:15 KyHighKraft AITAH for telling my coworker to find a different ride to work everyday?

Hey there! Here is a little intro before going into the full story. My name is Kai, I am a 20 year old male, and Have been working this office job for 2 and a half years. My coworker, let's call her Sunny(27F), has been working the same job the same amount of time.
We got hired on at this job together and from the first few weeks of training I offered to give sunny a ride to work every once and awhile since her place was between the location and mine and she does not drive due to her high anxiety regarding being behind a wheel, and that causing her heart problems.
Sooner rather than later she began to rely on me getting her to work. And at first I didn't mind because of said reasons above. Even after I moved I was still willing to pick her up as we had arranged ways for her to pay for gas and have emergency rides should I not be able to take her.
Then she started asking for rides to other places like doctors, food, even groceries. At first I didn't mind as I have a pretty free schedual.
Things really only started to not sit right when she would constantly get annoyed if I could not take her to these outside-work activities even though she has a husband who could have taken her and other people willing to as well.
As of recently she has been having issues with her husband, which I will not go into severe detail for, that has caused her to believe they might be close to a divorce. Steam rolling from that she has also been on a lot of new medications due to her health problems.
Every day this week as she's gotten into my car all she does is complain about her situation. Which is fair and she has every right to vent. And as a friend I don't mind listening to her and giving advice when appropriate.
What I do mind though is that, the first time, she was yelling the whole time, screaming her problems even when we stopped to get gas for my car. And when I attempted to calm her, she snapped at me. I usually brush things like this off my shoulder but yelling and sharp tones have always been trauma triggers for me to recede into my emotional shell.
Things have steadily gotten worse. When making small talk about workplace drama with her I mentioned something she did not agree with and her response was "I DONT WANT TO AGRUE THIS WITH YOU KAI" Which was a common phrase I heard in my childhood that always translated to "Shut up your opinion doesn't matter!" Etc.
Once again this has triggered my own trauma various times. Over the course of the week I have attempted to communicate with her that I wish to take a step back from her personal problems. This is to shift my focus back to my own mental health and reduce the amount of stress that is severely impacting my work style. (Side note: I'm not meeting quotas because of the emotional stress this is causing me.)
Every time I have interacted with her as of late she's taken her frustrations out on me and hurt me in some way or form. And the worst part about it is that she had texted me and several of our friends on the weekend before saying she was going to "keep her head down so she doesn't accidently hurt any of us with her own issues."
I've talked to several of our fellow coworkers and friends about how I'm feeling and several have expressed that dispite the amount of drama it may cause I have every right to tell her that I need space and she needs to find another ride until she gets her problems sorted and/or apologizes and stops.
While their opinions about this situation matter I would also appreciate if any of you lovely readers have any advice to give. Or even critics if I am being an asshole.
Thank you for your time. -Kai

[D] Correct interpretation of Model.predict output.
Currently taking the FCC Machine Learning Course.
I dont know how to correctly interpret the probabilities of the Model.predict function output. The CNN is meant to determine whether is an image of a cat or a dog. Some probabilities are negative and very low. I dont know how to interpret that data. Also mention the model achieves its goal with an aceptable margin. Here an example:

2024.05.17 09:54 BornHills NYSP PAT concerns

I posted this somewhere but I need some advice. Unfortunately a few months ago during the February processing weekend (for NY Troopers), I failed the 40 sit-ups in one minute portion which disqualified me and decided to train for the next few months until this upcoming one… trained push ups, abs and run timing… I tested myself again and I still can’t get to 40 sit ups in under a minute. I keep locking in at 36-37. Same as last time. Should I just defer instead of going to Albany, paying for a hotel and waste my money for what might be an obvious outcome?

2024.05.17 09:53 srinidhi1 India really needs a strong opposition now to counter BJP. Changing the government right now won't be any beneficial to India (corruption and problems will continue to exist in India and Indian government bodies (probably even worse)

You may know how horrible the food safety is in India. Our food is being poisioned (cancerous chemicals found in Indian spices, sugar levels are very high in Indian foods), The national security of India (China bullying in arunachal pradesh), Promoting Gutka and pan masala that is seriously dangerous to health and cause ruckus all over India, scam call centres scamming indians as well as overseas etc..
people will say "Vote wisely, you chose this", but will changing the government do any benefit? Do you think the Indi alliance will strictly regulate the companies? I do not see any campaign by the opposition saying that.
For National security congress is worse as we can saw in the past, also there is no campaign by the opposition calling out India's unable to withstand China's bullying.
The opposition is not calling out the government for pan masala and gutka ads.
For dictatorship, there is enough evidence that other state parties like TMC and DMK are more dictatorial.
On topic of promoting r*pists like brij bhushan, what about Sandeshkhali and Ajmer 1992?
On infrastructure screw-ups like Odisha train collision, Morbi bridge collapse, everyone forgot about it a week later.
You can list thousands of problems and criticise BJP (Rightfully they need to be criticised), but what do you think is the alternative? Congress?
See I agree that BJP is very bad and is currently going for the easy route for votes ignoring the real problems of India, often putting citizens in danger and this has to be changed soon. This is where the opposition parties should campaign and hit bjp to focus on the real problems of India.
Instead what is the opposition doing? Minority appeasement, caste appeasement, reservations, freebies.. Their entire manifesto is based on freebies and appeasement. If only they had based their manifesto on attacking the real problems stated above, they could have had a high chance this election and India could have been a better place
The opposition's lack of countering these problems, mentioning in their manifesto and campaigning around it, giving speeches about it etc, show that are not interested in solving them. Instead they are also going the easy route of appeasements to get votes.
This, and also a big anti-hindu factor leaves us no choice but to vote for BJP

2024.05.17 09:50 MediocreEquipment457 Late starters to ultras - what’s your story ?

I’m 36 , longest distance I’ve done under race conditions was a 21k (25k otherwise) last one was in December and it was in the French alps so in terms of difficulty, it was right up there .
I want to aim for a 50k in October 2025 with several races eyed up of varying distances as training/tests of progress .
This particular 50k will be in mountainous terrain in Croatia . Temp will be about 25c
The thing is , I’m just not sure I have it in me and my age and knees concern me slightly .
I’d like to hear your stories, good and bad from people who came to ultra distance a little later in life ?

2024.05.17 09:48 No_Road5427 Sincerely ask for advice and help when suffering from academic bullying

Hi everyone,
I'm currently a fourth-year PhD student in an Asian country, planning to graduate next summer. However, I'm facing significant challenges due to a toxic advisor and a poor academic environment. I believe I am suffering from academic bullying.
My advisor has taken away my past years of research and data but didn't tell me, He forced me to change topics several times. Additionally, my advisor regularly forces me to do unrelated tasks all the time. For example, he called me at midnight and asked me to do slides for commercial companies before the next day. He also said many mean words. He provides no academic guidance and doesn't care about my graduation. Unfortunately, changing advisors or complaining to the school isn't an option as the institution is unwilling to intervene.
Now I have to find a new dissertation topic and don't have any working or publiced paper. I also feel like I'm not receiving the proper PhD training and have a lot to catch up on.
I’ve considered dropping out but ultimately don’t want to give up. I don't dislike research itself, just the toxic environment. I've sought help from other professors, and one has agreed to collaborate and guide my dissertation. However, my advisor continues to interfere, assigning me last-minute tasks that disrupt my progress although he know and said yes to this collaboration.
Recently, my collaborating professor advised me to speed up my research, which has increased my anxiety. I'm worried about the collaboration falling apart due to my advisor’s interference. Additionally, my advisor keeps probing about our research topics, and I fear he might take over my current research as he has done before. He’s now starting a project in the same general area as mine.
I'm at a loss about how to handle this situation. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!
