2024.05.23 08:49 ammodotcom History of Fiocchi 9mm Ammo

Established in 1876, Fiocchi Munizioni is one of Italy’s oldest ammunition manufacturers. For nearly 150 years, Fiocchi Ammunition has provided shooters with incredibly accurate and affordable ammo to Europe and North America.
Developed in 1901 by Georg Luger, the 9x19 mm Parabellum is the longest serving military cartridge in history. It is also one of the most popular handgun rounds worldwide, used by law enforcement agencies and civilian CCW permit holders alike.
If you’ve ever read a Fiocchi 9mm review, you’ll know that it is some of the best ammo in the business in terms of stopping power and reliability.
For personal defense, there are two different varieties of Fiocchi 9mm available. Defense Dynamics Fiocchi 9mm ammo is designed for general self-defense use in the home or for CCW. Loaded with a Fiocchi 9mm 124 grain jacketed hollow point, these rounds really have the terminal ballistics you are looking for in a self-defense round.
However, if you believe that the first shot is always the most important, then you should load your EDC pistol with Hyperformance Defense. Essentially a match-grade load with a self-defense jacketed hollow point, these rounds are deadly accurate and some of the most powerful Fiocchi 9mm 124 grain JHP ammo on the market.
For general plinking and fun at the range, your best bet is Fiocchi 9mm Luger 115 FMJ Range Dynamics. These loads are prepared with the utmost attention to detail but are cheap enough that everyone can afford them. Range Dynamics Fiocchi 9mm Luger 115 FMJ ammo is perfect for keeping your marksmanship skills high while saving a ton of money by not shooting self-defense ammo. Range Dynamics is also loaded with Fiocchi 9mm 124 grain FMJ’s if you like to shoot heavier bullets from your favorite semi-automatic pistol.
No matter what you want to do with your favorite semi-auto handgun, Fiocchi 9mm fits your needs and budget.
How Can You Save Money Buying Fiocchi 9mm Bulk Ammo?
Here at Ammo.com we do everything we can to ensure that your cost per round is as low as possible to keep your favorite 9mm pistol, like the Glock 17, Sig Sauer P320, or Springfield Hellcat full of premium Fiocchi 9mm bulk ammo. With ammo shortages looming on the horizon, the best thing you can do is ensure that you’ve got a ton of Fiocchi 9mm ammo stocked up in your home. We here at Ammo.com can help you with that!
The best way to save money on Fiocchi 9mm is to buy bulk 9mm ammo. Although the upfront costs are higher, the cost per round is lower. This way, you’re actually saving money every time you hit the range with your Fiocchi 9mm bulk ammo.
We’ve got tons of Fiocchi 9mm ammo in stock at the lowest prices on the web. Our vast selection of Fiocchi 9mm is ready to ship discreetly to your door. Get your ammo stockpiles stacked to the rafters for target practice, plinking, self-defense, or any SHTF situation so that your beloved 9mm Luger semi-automatic handgun or pistol-caliber carbine (PCC) never runs dry of Fiocchi 9mm when you need them the most.

2024.05.23 02:13 ImJustPassingByy Speer Gold Dot 147gr vs 124gr 9mm

I used to run Gold Dot 124gr 9mm in my Glock 19, but since 2020 I haven't been able to get my hands on any more, so I switched over to underwood 124gr. I picked up some Speer Gold Dot today (first time I've seen it since 2020) and I got 147gr. Obviously I will go out and test it since this is my first experience with 147gr, but is there any major difference between the performance of 147gr vs 124gr? I'm wondering if anyone has noticed differences in ballistics or just overall function.

2024.05.22 21:18 Jeebugorn Issues with non-Shadow System threaded barrel in MR920

so, i have a Glock 19 (gen 4) that had a threaded barrel with a comp and have a MR920 Foundations. I just got approved for my 9mm suppressor so i wanted to put the threaded barrel on my MR to use the suppressor for when i pickup my suppressor tomorrow. now my slide doesn't want to cycle when i rack the slide. its just REALLY tight. is this just like another "break-in" period with this "new" barrel and just need to blast a couple hundred rounds through it until it wears in? cause it cycles just fine in the Glock slide as is.

635 clone-ish
Got this Colt 9mm SMG zipper a while back (3rd pic shows how I got it) with a lower that took Glock mags. It ran reliably, but I thought it deserved a proper lower so I got one of the H&R 635 clone lowers and pieced it together last night. Much happier with it now, and the magazines lock in rock solid.

2024.05.22 09:00 ammodotcom History of Bulk 9mm Ammo

We strive to keep 9mm ammo for sale in stock and ready to ship to your door. Get all the best 9mm bulk ammo available from PMC 9mm, Winchester 9mm, and Federal 9mm. You can even get a bulk 9mm ammo bucket for easy transportation to the range!
Your 9mm ammo bulk purchase will be shipped straight to your door in a discrete, unmarked package. Nosey neighbors will have no idea that your postman just dropped off bulk 9mm ammo 1000 rounds at your doorstep, and you’re ready to defend your property with the most popular handgun on the planet.

What’s the benefit to buying 9mm bulk ammo?

  1. Buying 9mm ammunition in bulk saves you money: Probably the biggest reason to buy bulk 9mm ammo is the cost savings it affords you. We understand that you work hard for every dollar and want to give you the best 9mm ammo to keep your Glock or Springfield running smooth and clean every time you hit the range. 9mm ammo is affordable, but the talking heads in DC are only going to make it more expensive over time. By purchasing bulk ammo, you save money vs. just buying one box at a time.
  2. You’re ready for the range: If there’s one thing that 2020 taught us, it’s that supply chains are fragile. If you wait to buy your 9mm ammunition at the range, not only will you pay more, but you don’t know if they will have your preferred 9mm ammo brand in stock. However, when you get your 9mm bulk ammo pack, you’ll always be ready to head to the range and punch some holes in paper or clang some steel. While your buddies are beholden to whatever the range has in stock, you’ll be locked and loaded with your favorite 9mm bulk ammo and not have to worry if you’ll be able to shoot or not.
  3. You support some great organizations: The right to bear arms is unalienable, God-given, and protected by the Second Amendment. With every bulk 9mm ammo purchase, we will make a donation in your name to a freedom-loving charity at no expense to you. We do this because we want to give back to all those who have sacrificed for our great nation and those who continue the fight to protect your 2A rights. When you make your 9mm ammo purchase, make sure to select the charity that you want to donate to and identify with the most and protect the next generation of shooters and their right to bear arms.

How much does 1000 rounds 9mm ammo cost?

Shooting can become expensive, but you need to keep your marksmanship skills sharp to defend yourself, your home, family, or freedom. Buying 9mm ammo in bulk - esp. in 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo in a single order - is the way to reduce your cost per round and maintain a steady practice routine.
For 9mm ammo options by brand, check out our inventory of Remington 9mm ammo and Fiocchi 9mm ammo.
The cost per round for 1000 rounds of 9mm ammo is considerably less than buying 20 round boxes each time you hit the range. Save upwards of $0.10/round on our bulk 9mm ammunition in stock.

2024.05.21 21:15 ZookeepergameNo562 wanna get a 9mm target pistol, any recommendation?

I began with a Glock 17, then moved on to a CZ P01. I heard that a metal gun would be better for home defense in case I had to shoot with one hand and the Glock might jam. I recently purchased the Dan Wesson PM7, which I really like and appreciate its accuracy. Now, I'm looking for another 9mm pistol for target shooting. I considered the VP9L, but someone mentioned that its trigger isn't great. I also thought about waiting for the P320 X5 Legion, but I don't want to pay the 'evil tax'. Alternatively, I could go with the P226 Extreme, which has an SRT, or the PDP, which might be available next year and has received a lot of positive reviews. your recommendation?

2024.05.21 21:12 grungetonic Repost: 9mm revolver or a glock 43 for CC

OK this to some in their opinion is going to be a no brainer but I figured I'd ask everyone's opinion.
First off, due to medical conditions, I am a small guy. 5'0 even to be exact. So when I conceal carry, it has to be a subcompact as even a compact still juts out a tad and I have to wear super baggy clothes to not print.
Now, I'm looking between a revolver in 9mm and a glock 43. For the glock, standard mag is 6 +1, the 9mm revolver I'm looking at is 5 rounds so I'm missing out on 2 rounds. "You can always get a extended mag!" Right, but that defeats the purpose of me going for the small glock to conceal best.
I also do plan on reloading my own ammunition as well and from what I've been reading and looking up, revolvers are a tad more forgiving with hand loads if you accidentally go to low or a tad high in powder compared to semi autos.
I've shot glocks before and they are nice, buy because they are lightweight, they seem to be more snappy. When I've shot a revolver, most are heavier so there is less felt recoil imo.
Also with the revolver option, I will be choosing one that does not require moon clips. As for extra ammunition, I have a fold in my wallet I would use for extra rounds like you would a spare mag. It doesn't bulk uo my wallet by much.
I'm no expert and this would be my first glock or revolver so I figured I'd ask here where people would be more knowledgeable. I apologize in advance if I come off as stupid, I'm just genuinely curious and would like some feedback. Thanks in advance.

2024.05.21 17:55 reechoreechoreecho AE Podcast 08: Info/Lore on 3d Printed Ghost Guns

I was listening to the AE podcast and wanted to give some more info on 3d printed Ghost Guns.
Firstly, we've come a long way since the Liberator. Cody Wilson's company, Defense Distributed, released the pistol in 2013 as a way to push the envelope in terms of what was possible under the 2A, with little regard towards it being a good pistol. This is why the Liberator has a reputation for exploding, which has caused many to be skeptical of 3d printed firearms to this day.
On the topic of printing metal, the process is actually quite basic and not at all new. The same year the Liberator was released, a company called Solid Concepts showed off a metal printed 1911. Selective laser sintering lays a thin layer of a metal powder down in a sheet. A laser then melts a shape into it and then another layer of powder is spread on top. Then the laser melts this layer, bonding it to the previous and so on. The unmelted powder acts as support martial as the object is built. The idea back in the day was actually that this process would soon hit consumer prices, which is why Defense Distributed also released an "accurate" 3d model of the AR15 with the idea it could one day be fully printed in ones bedroom. In reality, the model was a mash up of poorly speced parts and video game assets, but again, they were more concerned with the statement it made.
Fast forward to a German man known as online as Jstark and US man IvanTheTroll who create a Discord group to correct the AR15 Model from Cody Wilson. This group became the orgins of a community called Deterrence Dispensed. After releasing their much more accurate AR15 reference model, they pivoted to their most significant project, the FGC-9 (Fuck Gun Control 9mm). The design would be an overhaul of an older 3d printed design the Shutty, with a focus on being metric compatible, easily assembled, and require no firearm parts. The barrel was constructed from an "explosion proof hydraulic tube" sold on Aliexpress, and was rifled and chambered with a process known as ECM (Electro Chemical Machining). Essentially this process used electricity and salt water to eat away at material and form barrels very inexpensively. The fire control group could be harvested from an airsoft gun, and their documentation on assembly was an IKEA inspired guide with over 100 pages. This firearm has been widely produced around the world, including various EU countries, and is even used by Myanmar rebels.
That's the most basic rundown. I've been around the community since the IRC chat days, and there's a ton more lore/info. Below are some more vids and images of some things to help you get an idea of where printed ghost guns are currently at.

Anyone have any experience using .40sw Glock magazines in a ruger PC carbine for a few extra rounds? (Loaded with 9mm ammo of course).
I know that .40 mags will feed 9mm with risk of some malfunctions, but havent seen anyone posting about their experience doing so in a Ruger pcc.
