It had been a good few hours since the incident in the hall, and I had been forced to come to the nurces office after I had tried to clean my wound by splashing it with water from the tap, it also refused to stop bleeding. The second I walked into my room my mouth dropped open. He huffed before walking over to the empty seat and sitting down, I could feel him glancing up at me every now and again but I didn't respond. "Good morning class, please settle down." He looked at me then at Nick and frowned, we've never sat apart, we were friends before the new world even began. I just shook my head telling him to forget it. "So... as you know the king will be arriving in a short while, but until then lessons will go on as normal." Its funny seeing teachers in the same uniform your wearing, mr Foley and his wife are the coolest. Human teachers and doctors only have slightly more respect than we do. "Of course sir." Nick began reading the book but I switched off, today is going to be a long day. After almost an hour and a half of reading comprehension, the bell chimed signaling lunch. Don't pretend you didn't betray me." I shoved a little bit of food into my mouth before standing up and walking out of the cafeteria, leaving my tray on the table. I was walking through the hallway to the classroom, you see I decided to spend lunch with Mr Foley in his room, when I happened to hear voices in the corridor. "Is it wise for her to actually be present when the king arrives? Surely she could be placed in the dungeons, it might actually teach her some respect?" My principal was speaking to the alpha of our district, huh, if I stayed and listened do you think they'd notice, maybe they could smell me?! "Everyone is to be present, if the Riley girl does one thing out of line she will be dealt with severely, child or not. That girl has been a blight to the district since day one, she's dangerous, if she puts one hair out of place I will personally break her into submission." I lost my balance immediately and fell straight on to the floor letting out a small grumble in the process. Now, I had seen and heard that many times to know what that means, I gasped before taking a step back. 'No, no, no, no, no. This can not be happening.' He growled slightly before stepping towards me. Here are the facts:

• I hit a learner car at a roundabout, going very slowly about 1-2mph. The damage was minimal to their rear bumper. It happened as the learner car was setting off but it stopped suddenly
• I informed my insurance company and I didn't hear anything about it until today
• There is a table in the letter detailing all the costs and it comes to £1700.

I think this is a ridiculous number to ask to pay for such minor damage. What do I do?? Any advice is appreciated. If this is the wrong place to post this then please let me know where I should post this.

Ieri sono arrivate ad una mia amica 3 lettere di contributi INPS non pagati per un totale di circa 14k (di cui 4K di sanzioni).
Sono relativi al 2018,2019,2020 in cui lavorava a PIVA con gestione separata (ora ha un lavoro a tempo indeterminato). L’ho già aiutata a controllare il suo cassetto fiscale ed in effetti non ci sono versamenti all’INPS per quegli anni.
Riuscendo a guadagnare solo circa 16000 all’anno e non avendo genitori che la potessero aiutare le ha lasciate non pagate, banalmente per poter pagarsi affitto e cibo, ed ora le chiedono il pagamento entro 30gg intimando il recupero forzoso. Possiede due auto intestate (una per lei ed una vecchia che ha lasciato a sua madre che è nullatenente). Una delle due la sta ancora pagando a rate per un paio di anni.
Credo l’unica soluzione per lei sia richiedere un finanziamento, pagarle ed evitare così che le pignorino beni o stipendio con la cessione del quinto (per evitare anche che a lavoro la discrimino visto che non potrà più licenziarsi). Ovviamente già tra affitto, auto ed il resto sta stretta con le spese quindi questa situazione potrebbe essere solo un rimandare il problema. La sua RAL attuale è sui 30k. Ha qualcosa nel TFR (tipo 4K) che non so in questa situazione quanto le possano fare la differenza (col rischio di non avere più nulla se perde il lavoro).
Avete qualche consiglio su altri modi per gestire la situazione? Nel pomeriggio l’accompagno da un’amica commercialista e vorrei qualche idea differente se possibile.

Wolf is an importer of ammunition that is manufacturer agnostic, as well as brass and steel agnostic. When you see “Wolf Gold,” all that means is that these are brass cartridges.

Where Is Wolf Ammo Made?

Contrary to popular belief, Wolf Ammunition is not a Russian company. They sell ammunition once manufactured in the famous and historic Tula Cartridge Plant in Russia’s Tula District. This plant is owned by High Precision Systems, which is a part of the Rostec Group of companies, with a majority ownership in the hands of a holding company owned by the Russian Federation. TulAmmo is likewise manufactured at this facility. The plant is not to be confused with the Tula Arms Plant, which is a separate entity owned by the same holding company in the same region of the Russian Federation.
Another place Wolf manufactured ammunition was at Lugansk. However, this factory was destroyed in the fighting between Russia and Ukraine. Some of the steel-cased ammunition is made in Russia these days, but none of it is made in Tula. Wolf also imports brass-cased ammo from Taiwan, such as their Wolf Gold .223, as well as importing ammo from the same factory manufacturing Prvi Partizan.
Rostec, High Precision Systems and the role of Tula in manufacturing ammunition for the United States market and the Soviet war effort has quite a detailed history. Like all ammunition manufactured by Rostec, the emphasis is on the high-performance, tactical ammo capable of reliable use in combat situations.
The American company is affiliated with Sporting Supplies International. Wolf Performance Ammunition was founded in 2005, making it a baby in the world of American ammunition manufacturers. They also partner with SK Jagd und Sportmunitions Gmbh (also known as SK Hunting- and Sporting-Ammunition) to manufacture some of their .22-calibre rimfire ammunition.

Tula vs. Wolf

Wolf is no longer manufactured in Tula, and hasn’t been for some time. In 2009, Wolf brand ammo ended their relationship with Ulyanovsk Machinery Plant and Tula Cartridge Plant due to legal disputes between the parties. Wolf now uses suppliers from the European Union to meet their needs. The Wolf ammo website and TulAmmo both issued emails in 2009 that did little to clarify the situation beyond the fact that TulAmmo is not Wolf and Wolf is not TulAmmo.
Part of the confusion stems from what precisely Wolf and TulAmmo are. Both were manufactured at the same plant and made to the same specifications. Upon importation, they were put into different boxes with different logos and different brands. However, on the inside, they were more or less the same ammunition. While in some cases they might have been exactly the same ammunition, they ceased to be functionally identical when Wolf ended their relationship with the Russian manufacturer. Hence the statements from both organizations as to their difference.

Wolf Ammunition vs. The Taliban

The history of Wolf Performance Ammunition (also known as WPA) is tied very closely to the ammunition shortages of the 2000s. This is particularly true of the 7.62x39mm ammo, which sometimes doubled in price and in other cases, vanished from American shelves entirely. The shortage was a result of the Venezuelan military adopting the AK-103 as its standard issue rifle. They placed a massive order, as did the United States military in an attempt to supply the newly formed Afghan Army with the ammunition it needed to secure the countryside.

Between 2003 and 2005, the Taliban experienced a resurgence in Afghanistan, requiring a response from both United States troops and the Afghan Army they support. The insurgency was easily crushed, however, the large ammunition order stood. What’s more, the United States and Afghan forces were constantly engaged in mop-up operations against the failed Taliban insurgency.
In January 2006, the United States military began sharing its role in Afghanistan with a multinational NATO force. This prompted another Taliban insurgency requiring, once again, more ammunition supplied by Wolf and other ammunition manufacturers. The fight against this insurgency was far less clear cut and one sided, but the NATO forces obtained many tactical victories and was able to deny the Taliban territory.
Later in 2007 and 2008, Wolf’s steel-cased .308 rounds disappeared from shelves across America. 7.62x51mm NATO rounds were likewise disappearing, pushing .308 Winchester rounds to the highest prices they’d ever seen. The Afghan Army order once again played a key role in driving up prices.
2007 was indeed a rough slog for coalition forces in Afghanistan, largely the British Royal Marines. It was estimated that the Taliban was 10,000 fighters strong at this point, with between 2,000 and 3,000 of these being dedicated, full-time insurgents. Again, tactical victories were the order of the day, but the Taliban always seemed to bounce back. 2007 was also the high water mark for foreign insurgents in Afghanistan. Is Wolf and TulAmmo the same?

My husband served in the Marines, Navy and Army Natl guard 1990-2006 (peacetime and gulf war 1 and 2) including jungle service in the Philippines, transport time on aircraft carriers, 6 years of submarine service at sea and in shipyards and security/transportation time in Kosovo.
He has pulmonary sarcoidosis with renal and sinus involvement, diagnosed in 2017 with subsequent steroid induced diabetes. He takes 15mg of prednisone and 20mg of leflunomide daily in addition to 15 mg of methotrexate weekly, which moderately controls his symptoms, though he still has hilar adenopathy, high calcium in his urine, fatigue and high ACE levels. He was doing regular remicade infusions for a year and half (while also taking low dose prednisone and methotrexate) but develop a a life threatening allergic reaction. He has no family history of sarcoidosis or other auto immune diseases. He takes glimiperide and metformin daily to control diabetes, which onset after his second long course of high dose steroids to control the sarcoidosis.
We filed a pact act intent to file in early 2023 and the claim in November 2023. While he was not deployed to any of the “automatic” pact act countries, he did experience burn pits in the Philippines, worked on the air filter machine on the submarine and the VA conceded toxic exposure to asbestos via a Tera memo.
He had DBQs completed by his private physicians as well as by LSGS after an in person exam last month. The NP that conducted the exam reassured him that there was likely service connection based on a broad range of his work, exposures and deployments. Subsequent to the exam we received notification that VES was scheduling document review appointments (for which he need not be present).
Two days after the VES review appointment, 2 weeks ago, we received notification that a service connection was granted for sarcoidosis at 30% and he received a lump sum back pay dated to the Sept 2022. A decision on diabetes was “deferred”. He also received a payment for June disability (at 30%) today.
Today while checking status on the deferred decision, we saw a letter dated 6/3 (though its only 5/31) that’s says they intend to sever his service connection for sarcoidosis and that diabetes remains deferred. There was no “why” and the letter said we would receive separate notification about that.
Google tells me they can sever service connection based on fraud (which is definitely not the case) or “clear and unmistakable error”. I can’t imagine there is anything clear and unmistakable either.
Has anyone had this happen before or have any idea what happened and what we should do? Will they request repayment of the back pay they already provided or would this be on a go forward basis (we haven’t touched it but would obviously prefer not to give it back)?

Basically, we did a service for this person on his property more than once. We are a pressure wash business, and he has three houses: a main house, a ranch house, and a guest house. We completed work on the ranch house and the guest house, and the last one was the main house. We told him that we would be doing a house wash on his main house with 300 psi. However, when we started, water began to pour into his garage, which is underneath the porch we cleaned. We had a verbal agreement that we could clean the porch since there was a gutter line underneath.
When the damage happened, he went underneath cut it and started to take pictures and videos of the damage. He did not mention anything about us paying for the damage and even shook my brother's hand, thanking him for the hard work. We also worked for another three days on his property, and he never mentioned that the damage needed to be covered. We sent him the invoice for the work, and after a month, he had not viewed it. We reminded him through a message that we had sent the invoice, and he asked about the $500 extra pay, which he had forgotten to add to our service. He also asked about what to do with the damage.
We basically tried to file a claim with the insurance in August regarding what happened. They tried to message him and mail papers since November, and it took him until February to respond to the claim. Unfortunately, the claim was not covered because he was trying to get a very expensive contractor, and the coverage didn't apply.
He sent us an email about releasing our insurance policy, but the adjuster told us not to do it. Since we declined the request, he asked us what the plan was. We informed him that we could cover the damage with our licensed and insured handyman, but he did not reply for 3 weeks. After sending him another email and receiving no reply, we sent a certified email about covering the damage. He then sent us this message

I probably will not agree to have them make any repairs, because we completed a high end remodel of our home in 2022 using a licensed home builder. Therefore, only a builder with experience completing high end work will qualify to make the repairs. You are welcome to send someone over to bid on the repairs, but I won't agree to it unless they are a licensed contractor that does high quality work.
Additionally, You had told me that you were licensed and insured, however, your insurance company stated otherwise. They specifically stated that "there is no coverage under the insured's policy for this loss" The letter is attached. Since you refused to send me a copy of your insurance policy this has made me question your honesty in this situation.
In any case, you are still responsible for the damages that you caused. I am attaching the bid for repairing the damage, showing that you owe us $10,806.28. As you can see below and attached, I have reduced the amount that you owe by your open invoices. The cost of repairs is $10,806.28. Your invoices total $4,886.25. I have subtracted that from the cost of the repairs and now the total amount that you owe us is $5,920.03
Please let me know when I can expect to receive payment for this. If you don't plan on paying for this, let me know so I can plan accordingly.
As a side note, you presented yourself as an expert in your field and you showed up with a nice truck and professional equipment. You also claimed to be licensed and insured. Obviously I was disappointed by the extensive damage you caused to my home and the subsequent lack of insurance coverage. The right thing to do is take responsibility for your actions and pay for the damage.

I'd been a member for 16 years. Became a member when I enlisted in the Navy in 2008. Just switched companies this year. I spent over $83k (100% auto insurance) with them in that time.
Had one claim in ~2012 for a window that had a rock thrown through it while I was gone on one of my deployments. Although I paid nothing because they used to have free glass replacement, it took almost 2 years for me being home at the same time of 1) them being able to find a replacement in the same town and 2) find an installer of their choice in the same town. I had moved 3 different times during the claim (homeport to shipyard and back). I honestly didn't think anything of it and chalked it up to bad timing.
The second claim was in 2014 for an accident that I was paid $1200 for a front end collision at 40mph. Planning already to get an offroad bumper for my truck, I used that money for one. Upon installing, I found the 2 frame rails on my pickup were accordianed 2" on one side and 1" on the other. I showed them and they said it couldn't have happened from that low of impact speed. Called BS, but phone calls got me nowhere. Pulled the frame rails as straight as I could with a friend's truck and some chains and went on about my day. Clean title with frame damage. Yay. Still have the truck too.
The third and final claim was for a windshield replacement on my 2022 Camry. A car in front of me on the highway drifted out of the lane and off the sharp asphalt ledge. He quickly perked the wheel and jumped the ledge causing both left side tires to explode and throw rocks and tire bits like a grenade. Got the whole thing on dash cam with a time stamp. Windshield now has 6 cracks all over 12" long. I had just switched my deductible from $500 to $0 3 days prior because I had received a raise at work and could now afford a little bit more on insurance. I drive 180 miles/day for work 5 days/week and thr extra peace of mind is worth it with the time spent on the road. A dozen phone calls later over the span of 3 months, multiple of which were with "senior management" (or so I was reminded numerous times), and I was told they would not be honoring the $0 deductible because "the time since deductible change had been too little". When asked what that time would be, nobody could define it. I had to repeat my story over and over so they could make sure my timeliness was accurate. Not once did they accept the dashcam.
Pretty simple to me if you are now paying more for a deductible change, they should now honor the deductible.
A $500 hill is what they stood on after getting $83k from me. A $500 hill that could have turned into another $83k. Fuck 'em.

Hello all, I was in an accident last year of december 2023 that was not my fault. Staying in number 1 lane while person behind me hits me on the rear left bumper, (not paying attention on their phone) and claiming I made a unsafe lane change from the number 2 lane into his lane. Letter: "Our Client Geico has assigned an underinsured claim for an accident in which you were involved to our office recovery. This has occured because you were underinsured per your policy limits. Our client holds you financially responsible to cover the underinsured portion of the claim."
Now after this letter I checked my insurance (progressive) to see if the person ever got paid out for the accident.
Payout Bodily Injury: 0 Property Damage: 0
After seeing this now i'm thinking to myself either progressive is denying liability and not paying the person out, and now the subrogatiom agency is coming for me individually. Would I need to contact a lawyer for this? Or ask my insurance what this is all about.
