Im on Summer of year four and ive yet to get a dino egg to make dino mayo, or find a 2nd ancient seed šŸ˜­šŸ™ ive not been able to unlock the cinema Ive been to level 53 in the skull caverns, bottom of the mines, unlocked ginger island, etc Despite this, on lucky days with a spicy eel, lucky ring thing, and more I have only gotten the dino room once in the skull mines, and it spawned one dino with no egg drop. Ive dug all over the mountains and no ancient seeds. I got one in year one, planted it, and didnt have the center done, it died in the winter and i didnt think itd be hard to find another šŸ˜” Am i doing something wrong? Is there a trick im missing?? I cant do any cheat codes since im a switch player. Needing advice please šŸ™

A huge thank you to Deligracy for creating the original Tiny Town challenge. I had so much fun playing her lot and Sims that I had to create another iteration just because I finished the first one šŸ˜†. Deligracyā€™s incredible creativity and the engaging gameplay she designed motivated me to expand on her fantastic idea, creating new characters in a second Tiny Town challenge for the Sims community to enjoy. Unfortunately I can't link them here due to rules on this sub, but she's first if you google her!

Lot and Placement
  • World: Windenburg (Get Together expansion pack)
  • Lot Name: Von-Windenburg Estate (64Ɨ64)
  • Neighbourhood: The Crumbling Isle
  • Lot Type: Residential Rental (using the For Rent expansion pack)
  • Download: Search for my EA ID: PlumbobParagon on the Gallery. The lot is called ā€œTiny Town 2.0ā€. The sims are also on the gallery in a single household called the Tiny Towners 2.0.
Like in Deligracyā€™s original challenge, this tiny town is built on a 64Ɨ64 lot. Here, I placed the lot in Windenburg. It is set up in the same way, with 7 mini-lots arranged in a horseshoe shape around a central shared area. Each mini-lot is designed to help your Sims start from zero simoleons and gradually build their tiny homes using only their skill.
šŸ˜„ I do realise the lot is on an island and weā€™re trying to sell wares here. I thought it was funny and indicative of the high demand for our awesome creationsā€”sims have to get on boats to purchase them!
Basic Setup for Each Sim
  • Each Sim starts with a tent, a bush for bathroom needs, a cooler for quick meals, and a labelled cardboard box for storing items (in my view, this was one of the cutest parts of Deligracyā€™s original lot šŸ˜).
  • Each mini-lot is equipped with the minimal items necessary to support their specific skill enough that they can earn the money to survive and build their homes. Some lots have items outside the boxes, these are there to be sold so your sim can begin skill building.
  • I also fenced each lot with fences and gates in the appropriate styles and colours of each sim. I did add fun little signs and a bit of decor to each lot, but feel free to remove anything you donā€™t like. If you are deleting decor, I might suggest you deduct the simoleons from those items to keep gameplay more challenging (if thatā€™s what youā€™re after!).
Challenge Rules
  1. Moving in Sims: You can randomly select sims using the Wheel of Names site. Roll for the order in which your tiny towners move in, or move in your favourites first ā˜ŗļø!
  2. Starting Simoleons: Begin with zero simoleons. (Cheat code: money 0)
  3. Earning Money: Each Sim must use only their unique skill to earn money and build their tiny home.
  4. Building Homes: As Sims earn money, they can gradually build their tiny homes. The goal is to fully furnish and complete their homes before moving on to the next Sim.
  5. Shared Spaces: The central area is a communal space for all Sims to use for gatherings and activities. I really loved how Deligracy used that space in her videos to build a community building with a bathroom and temporary bedroom for the new Sims who are moving into Tiny Town. It was great how she had each of her Sims add on to the building gradually as she moved through the challenge, making the challenge progressively less difficult and simpler to move on to skill development instead of focusing purely on survival šŸ˜Š.
  6. Household Management: Two Sims share a lot in Tiny Town 2.0 (Byron and Violet) as For Rent caps out at 6 units per lot. They can be in a relationship, be roommates, or business partners. During gameplay, move the first Sim who moved in to another household if needed to focus on the challenge for the second Sim, then move them back when appropriate. I did pair them because it may be helpful for them to purchase a barestaurant together to make money using their skills (Gourmet Cooking and Mixology). *In fact, I may even play these two together!

  • Tip: Harper will eventually need to save up enough for the candle making table to complete her aspiration.

Gentryā€™s sweet cravings were getting out of hand.
The last time she had a proper dessert was almost a week ago, and if she had something to say about it, no amount of saccharine text exchanges with pretty boys was going to replace a good old sugar rush. A couple of days ago Sereen treated her to the sweetest snack she could get with her status and that piece of dried fruit was nowhere near enough to satisfy Gā€™s sweet tooth.
So many vending machines and eateries, but not a single good bakery? Hell, even a crappy one would do at this point! She had to hunt down some glucose tonight.
After Sereenā€™s initial tour around the city, she went off leaving G to explore the city on her own. It was getting easier and easier. With the auglasses on, finding her way around proved pretty intuitive, not in the least thanks to the distinct chessboard-like layout of Ashtapada. Each district had a letter-number label. By remembering oneā€™s ā€œsquare codeā€, one could find their way back on foot or by cab in no time wherever they found themselves.
Gentry spent hours exploring the wide walking streets and little nooks that offered yet another glimpse into Ashtapadan reality. She once stumbled upon a bookshop with nothing on the shelves but blank-page tomes. The shopkeeper asked her what she was looking for and after finding out the she was a Newcomer, explained that it was a book-on-demand type of place. She would place an order for a story and he would write it for her in a matter of days.
What confused her most was the snow-white buildings of the city. Despite being made with rough porous concrete, they were drowning in lush greenery that sometimes looked like it nearly chocked the structure. Each had the same distinct feature, though, that made them all look unfinished: however tall or short was the building, the top floor always looked under construction. Though there always were the omnipresent hounds on each of the working site, there were never any cranes or scaffolding visible. The obliging auglasses offered G the answer: everything from the smallest houses to the few high rises was essentially self-producing! From what little she understood reading about this advancement, the carbon in the atmosphere was captured by special aerial filters and dissolved in some water. It later went through the pipes in the buildingsā€™ skeleton-like armature and got sprayed on. As the water evaporated, the carbon solidified into neat coral-like blocks that formed the walls and other structures.
Well, that explained why the fumes she saw on the outskirts smoked backwards!
It was getting dark and the orderly streets came alive once G engaged her glasses that revealed the digital underside of Ashtapada again. Every business had a modest sign in the physical world that didnā€™t stand out on the angular facades. But there also was a hidden bright animated augmented-reality one that could compete with Broadway neon in brightness.
Signs like these werenā€™t just decorating the facades: the 3D ones flashing on the ground filled almost the whole field of view, too. They looked amazingly enticing in the evening dusk. Information stalls with digital assistants, huge arrows pointing at meeting points, temporary signs inviting strangers to join a club gathering ā€” Gentry was going to gawk at every single one tonight. She came up to some of them, waving hands in the air to try and touch the flickering lights, not caring what she looked like from the outside. Ashtapadans seemed a very relaxed bunch, not putting their noses in othersā€™ business, which felt liberating. Noting how other people in the streets interacted with 3D service bots, G came up to one of them, too.
ā€œHello, Gentry, how can I help you tonight?ā€ it chirped. The hologram looked like a cute animated girl with an elaborate pink hairdo. ā€œYou can ask me a question directly or say ā€œWhat can you doā€ to access the list of commands.ā€
ā€œHi!ā€ G said. ā€œDo you have a name?ā€
ā€œYou can call me Yukio,ā€ it responded with a little curtsy. ā€œI can answer any questions, show you around or chat about anything!ā€
Any question? It must know where the desserts were sold! On second thought, wasnā€™t there something more important than that? Something that brought G here in the first place.
ā€œIā€™m looking for a person named Exxy Mah,ā€ she said to the patiently smiling girl. ā€œIs there a citizen or a newcomer with this name?ā€
ā€œThere is!ā€ Yukio answered, gleefully jumping in the air. ā€œExxy Mah is a famous Ashtapadan, she is an advocate for healthy living. You might have seen her on posters and screens around the city.ā€
The woman in the picture the assistant conjured up floating in thin air showed an elderly woman. She was looking very fit for her age but it clearly wasnā€™t the Exxy Gentry knew.
ā€œHmm... Thatā€™s not her...ā€ G said. ā€œThere has to be another.ā€
The girl suddenly looked on the verge of tears. ā€œIā€™m sorry! Itā€™s the only one in Ashtapada! No other Citizens or Newcomers are registered by this name!ā€
Did her friend change her name then?
ā€œA friend of mine shouldā€™ve arrived here last year under the same name. Can you check where she is now?ā€
Yukioā€™s helpful attitude fell apart in an instant. Her posture became stiff like a 3D model she was and a voice void of any emotion informed, ā€œPersonal data on people of Ashtapada, including their whereabouts is protected by the privacy laws of the city. Please rephrase your search.ā€
A blink later, the same cute Yukio was standing in front of G again.
ā€œCan I help with anything else?ā€ she smiled.
Was there a way to ask this dummy in a way that would give her at least a hint about her friend?
ā€œOk, Yukio,ā€ G attempted. ā€œWhen did the famous Exxy Mah you mentioned arrive at Ashtapada?ā€
The girl flickered into a wooden statue again, ā€œPersonal data on people...ā€
ā€œOk, ok, I got it,ā€ G waved. ā€œBring back the friendly assistant, you creep me out.ā€
ā€œCan I help with anything else?ā€ the model went again.
G sighed.
ā€œIs there a place a newcomer can get something sweet, a chocolate or a cake perhaps?ā€
Yukio gasped indignantly, ā€œAshtapada has a very strict policy on stimulants! You canā€™t legally buy any tobacco, alcohol, products with added sugar and other such substances!ā€
ā€œSuch substances!ā€ G hollered, forgetting for a second that she was talking to a lifeless simulation. ā€œSugar is completely harmless! Itā€™s good for your brains you know! Can I at least ask a Š”itizen to get me a snack?ā€
The girl crossed her arms in defiance.
ā€œYou canā€™t buy any dessert in Ashtapada, whatever your status, the law is for everyone. No refined sugar!ā€
G thought for a moment, rewinding their conversation in her memory.
ā€œDid you say I canā€™t buy sugar legally?ā€ā€” Gentry perked up ā€” ā€œIs there a black market of sweets I can go to?ā€
ā€œA black market of sweets!ā€
Yukio stared. It was clearly the first time she had had to deal with this particular word combination. It took her a second or two to process the request.
ā€œThereā€™s no black market of sweets in Ashtapada,ā€ she stated, confidently, at last.
ā€œOk, pinkhead,ā€ G said, rolling her eyes. ā€œI guess it took all candy floss in Ashtapada to make that hair.ā€
Annoyed at the assistant, she stomped through the bright neon figure in front of her and into the pedestrian street now full of people.
If there was a place with some glucose in this stuck-up place, she was going to sniff it out.

The hunt wasnā€™t of much success. After watching a street performance by a group of dancers, listening to an impromptu debate and taking part in a couple of opinion polls, Gentry finally felt that it had been a little too much. Even with the auglasses disengaged, he noise, the people and the boisterous crowds in the streets seemed to pour light and sound directly into her brain in an endless stream. It gave her a headache.
Calling up a map from her wristcomm with an already practised motion, she marked a place nearby that looked much quieter and had a swarm of vending machines, too.
Screw the sugar, she just needed some water now.
The place was indeed quite secluded. The narrow street started on the edge of the bustling zone she just left but didnā€™t seem to cut into the living district. It wasnā€™t used by many people, but, to Gā€™s surprise, it seemed to be used by hounds, scurrying back and forth with parcels, trash bags and other loads of lesser identifiability.
Perhaps this little alley was shared by humans and these tireless little helpers over the course of the day? The hounds would make use of it in the night but workers would walk it to leave the residential area when the sun was up? That would explain the line of vending machines along both sides, with their tempting lights that invited to at least take a look.
Sadly, their insides werenā€™t as tempting as the signs promised.
G walked past the rows of healthy corn-based snacks, rows of dried fruit packets, lines of non-edible stuff like auglasses upgrades and finally ended up in front of a drinks machine. It immediately identified her by scanning the device on her wrist and merrily chimed a hello. G frowned. The few options that were available to a newcomer with an embarrassingly low status like hers immediately got illuminated, hiding more enticing bottles and cans in relative darkness.
No need to rub it in, you soulless beast!
But... there was a can that looked a little sweeter than others. Perhaps it was because of its sickly-pink colour, or a pattern vaguely reminding of chewing gum printed along its rims together with the fact that it was unavailable to pheasants like her, but something told Gentry that it probably was it. A sweet drink she was after.
Or, at least, sweetish.
Against better judgment, she tapped the touchglass to order it.
Nothing. The little screen insisted that she must choose what was available.
She scanned her comm again.
Nothing.
She engaged the little flashlight in her glasses and looked at the can more carefully.
Was it... a little askew?
It definitely was.
Its lower rim was half-hanging in the air, the release mechanism lazily holding it in place.
A good shove...
A good shove would probably drop the can down.
Wouldnā€™t it?
G looked around and immediately felt a pang of guilt.
She hadnā€™t done anything, officer!
Yet.
No people, just a couple of smaller hounds rhythmically clip-clopping along the dim alley.
Should she?
The can looked at her from behind the glass like a captive princess, waiting to be rescued from the agonizing imprisonment. Someone to grab its slender body, deflower it with a skilled motion and drain its sweet nectar in a couple of gulps.
Hang in there, my sweet prize, your saviour is coming!
Another hopefully inconspicuous glance around confirmed there were still no people in the alley.
Gentry stepped to the side and leaned on the machine, estimating its weight.
Not too bad.
She leaned in heavier, feet pushing into the ground, legs and back straining against the cool metal.
A little more, and...
One of the little hounds stopped and looked G over, like a dog that saw a little furry animal that could be torn apart.
What, little buddy? Just taking a break. Is it against the law to lean on vending machines?
Gentry urged the walking robot to move along with a little shove of her foot and immediately felt a little bad when it obediently left without making much fuss.
Why the guilt? It wasnā€™t like she kicked the little guy!
Still, Gentry felt emboldened by the little victory against the mindless machine.
Surely, the frigid castle that held her sugary princess shouldnā€™t be of much trouble either.
With a renewed wind in her sails, she stepped back a couple of meters and slammed her whole body into the automate that answered with a promising clanking. Another good push and the visual assessment confirmed that the pink princess was nearly saved. Gentry smashed into the box one last time and the can that she longed for finally jangled down and into the pick-up box.
Gentryā€™s exhilaration lasted only for a second, however. Before she could retrieve the can she lusted after, something much bigger than a modest dog-sized carrier hound filled her field of vision. A larger four-legged robot that also had something fastened on its back and belly. It stood motionless, its front camera glinting in the uneven light like a bird of preyā€™s, watching G as she stood up after the impact, unsure what to do.
Was it a police hound or something? Unlikely. There were no marks on it that would identify it as such. What was its problem then?
Itā€™s alright, mate, be on your way now.
G slowly moved her hand towards the pick-up box and almost grabbed the cool can when the hound gently shoved her hand aside with its boxy head.
Whatā€™s your problem, pal?
Gentry considered if it was worth it being accused of theft so soon after arriving at Ashtapada. Was it really that bad though? She could always claim it just dropped there by itself.
She pushed the houndā€™s stump of a head back, covering its camera with her palm, reaching for the can again. This time, as if blinded by her hand, the hound didnā€™t do anything to stop it.
Ah, easy. These machines were too dumb.
Gentry stepped back, completely sure that the matter was settled, and popped the can open. Its sweet scent filled her nostrils with a seductive promise. But the hound had other plans. Once his camera was uncovered, it seemed to focus on the offending drink again and made to awkwardly sway its head to kick it out of Gā€™s hands.
Excuse me? What about the Laws of Robotics, mate? Rings a bell?
It wasnā€™t hard to dodge the clumsy assault, but the sheer size of the robot made G uneasy. If it seriously wanted to harm her, it could just stomp on her foot and shatter the bones there like fragile glass.
Better get out of here then.
Finally making a sip of the promising nectar, Gentry moved back towards the light opening of the alley, flanking the beast at a respectful distance before scrunching her face in disgust.
Shit! The drink wasnā€™t sweet in the slightest! It was all a lie! Vile flavourings! She was cheated! Her lovely princess lured her with a sirenā€™s song and stabbed her right in the heart!
Disillusioned, G gripped the can tighter as if in retaliation and picked up the pace.
The hound wasnā€™t having it though. Surprisingly agile on its metal hooves, it appeared in front of Gentry, blocking her way out. The robots usually looked more like docile cows or donkeys, especially when they were loaded with cargo, but this one, now... looked like a real hound. Its posture suddenly squat, the camera glinting once again, it definitely wasnā€™t going to let the transgressor go that easily.
Shit, shit! Had it seen her face? Had it scanned her comm? Was she going to prison now?
Panic rose in Gentryā€™s brain like a suffocating wave.
Run? Return the can back? It wasnā€™t even good enough to be worth the trouble!
Tentatively, without turning her back on the beast, G made a couple of steps back to escape in the other direction but the robot matched her stride, his dark presence looming in the narrow pathway.
Something like this had happened before. A similar quiet spot in her city. A similar evening that started off great but ended in a disaster. The same impending danger, the same feeling of helplessness, a similar... weapon in her hand?
Right. The brawler that attacked her and Pete at The Clockface was human and was taken down by some boiling hot water, and this hound also had eyes. Only one in fact. And if the can is sturdy enough...
Brace yourself now, my princess, itā€™s time for sacrifices.
With a well-aimed swing, Gentry launched the can into the thin glass of the houndā€™s camera eye, turning to run for her life at the same time. A crashing sound proved that she succeeded but there was no time to check what the robot would do next. As usual, the time seemed to stretch into a sickening slime and her legs didnā€™t feel real, but G knew that outside her reeling head everything was moving properly so she had no time to lose.
Run away, mix into the crowd, save your hide.
Feel worthless later.

I found that my boyfriend of 3 years signed up for two different dating apps yesterday. I found out by seeing the verification code text on his phone but when I confronted him about it he told me he was just curious what kind of profiles are out there. He said he made a bot account it wasnt with any photos of himself and he just wanted to look. He promised me he had no intention to cheat but how am i supposed to believe him. Should i leave him? I love him alot and he is a good bf to me most of the time other than the fact that he has lied in the past and got caught. It wasnt anything terrible but he would be very embarssed when caught. So I saw that Apple was finally allowing an emulator and downloaded it. Iā€™m playing thru HGSS and Iā€™m trying to add a couple cheat codes to give myself items and TMs bc I donā€™t enjoy the grind for those. Items went just fine, but the TM code requires to ā€œrestart the gameā€ and I canā€™t figure out how to do that. I load up a save, but the code doesnā€™t activate. Is there any way to ā€œrestartā€ the game without losing my progress?
Also, how do you change the skin? (DS)
EDIT: Also Iā€™m new to emulators completely regardless of it being on my iPhone or not, so sorry if any of these are simple to people that have more experience than I do.

They really nailed it with its implementation, and by nailed I mean they fucked themselves in the ass by poorly adapting their Valorant anti cheat to League, adding another headache on top of the spaghetti code that this game runs on. This game and client barely hold together as it is, the client freezing for 10 minutes at a time, black screen when you accept a game and you can't see the champ select, forcing you to a leave timer. Did we really need a new anti cheat that was not designed for this game creating many errors for many players as evidenced by the daily threads opened here? And the astroturfing Riot has gone on to remove the criticism posts from the league subreddit tells me they are not letting on how big a dumpster fire this release has been.
And of course there are shills and whiteknight who will defend riot to the last, just watch.

2024.05.28 21:34 MinimumYou6167 (Repost) I (M20) have been done so wrong by my BF (M38) several times. I don't know what to do. Should I give up?

I've been in a relationship with my bf for almost a year and a half, and its impacted my mental state severely. There's its highs, and there's its lows. It's been filled with happy memories, and also lies and betrayal and I'm out of words of what to do.
I met my BF on a dating website (not Grindr haha), and we called each other via the phone a couple of times and we really hit it off. We lived in different states back then, so we could only communicate w/ a phone. He really liked me so he decided to fly me out to his state so we could meet for the first time. I was insanely excited and nervous at first, since this was my first relationship and I was 19 at the time. (I know I was very young). Now the first kicker here is he told me he was 30, and eventually a year later I found out he was 7 years older than what he told me, but I'll get to that later.
So I flew out and met him and he seemed really sweet, and we got intimate immediatly and it was amazing haha. I stayed at his place for a month and flew back home, only to be back at his state in 2 more weeks. Within a month he confessed he loved me which I thought was strange at first, but I confessed back that I fell in love as well, at least I thought I did then. A month later we made it official to move in together and he rented a house for us together and I thought we were heading to the right step. Boy I was wrong.
Now its gets bad. Months later after moving in, the first day of June; at this point I've added all my BFs socials and was just relaxing in bed, listening to music while coding, since I wanted to build up a portfolio and eventually apply for Wed Development roles to help build an income for us. I heard a Facebook notification, stopped what I was doing and scrolled on the social media. What I saw made me tear up instantly, my BF was continuously commenting heart eye emojis and flirtatious messages on an individual's profile. The profile was meant to be a thirst trap of some kind for gay men at least. And he was caught up onto it. I called him with tears in my eye to comfort him about it and he got really aggressive to me when I brought it up and asked if I wanted to go home. Long story short he came back home from work and brushed it off like nothing has happened, and told me he loved me and only me. This wasn't even the worse of it, it continues.
I won't go into full detail into what he did, but the run down is that he continuously DM'ed other guys saying how sexy they were, even sending nude pics, and even asking if they wanted to meet up. He kept liking thirst trap posts of half nude guys on instagram and Facebook. and he even watched porn during his work hours... like WTF???
It took me months to figure out this info and as a scared now 20 year old, I didn't know what to do, but I did confronted him about it on the first of September. He was shook when I told him and how I figured it out, then he tried to play the victim card saying how I hacked into his account to figure out this information and he felt "violated". Im thinking to myself right now how foolish I was to not fight against what he was saying but I said nothing. He told me that he didn't cheat on me and didn't meet up with anyone, and he promised me to never message another guy or like another post again. This might of not been the smartest move on my part but I forgave him. A week later he even gave me a promise ring.
2 Months later, I caught his ass liking thirst trap posts on instagram again, and I was starting to mature a little bit, and was very eager on breaking up with him and going back home. I knew prior to this confrontation as I could see who he follows and see his likes by searching his user up. I would ask him about it but he would gaslight me saying he didn't do it and called me insecure about it. Back to the confrontation, He was really nasty to me ; saying things like "well maybe I should actually cheat on you so you really know how it feels like" etc. One thing that I should note about him is he deals with extreme anxiety, and when he has meltdowns he's an entire different person for the worst. I kept my cool throughout the entire confrontation and was about to pack my stuff and we headed into his vehicle. During the ride to the airport, he said something very strange but red flag worthy: "maybe I should just date women so I can make my mom proud and just be a player with men on my socials" like out of no where he said that, basically admitting that he was a player at the start. When we were 5 mins away from the airport, he asked me if this is what I really want, and I was so shook and filled with tears, I just didn't know what to do since I was so in love with him, and I told him I feel like I just need more time to figure out this decision. So he made a bold move and told me if I stayed that I could meet his brothers and sisters; the most important people in his life, so I thought maybe he does want to make it work if he wants me to meet his family, so I said yes and stayed.
Eventually I did meet his family and they loved me to death, I thought to myself this was amazing for our relationship and thought I wouldn't ever have to worry about him being unfaithful ever again. Well, that didn't last forever sadly.
Today is May 28th, I'm 20, and I'm just depressed. There's so much to it that has been troubling me but I can't list it all down otherwise it would be a novel lol. Not to long ago I had a gut feeling he was doing something again on his phone so I logged into it and checked his Facebook DMs and my gut feeling was confirmed. He was sexting again. This time he didn't send any nudes, but still being flirtatious with random guys in his DM's. And today, I looked on his instagram, and his following count went up, which is not a good sign because last I checked, all of his followings are just thirst trap profiles. Even during my November confrontation with him, I told him to delete his instagram and delete male friends that he didn't know in real life to prove he was willing to change. But shit, that never happened.
So here I am, after a year of crying, anxiety, sadness, and begging him to stop, I'm not sure if he has or will. I gave him so much love and went out of my way to be the best boyfriend I can be; learning how to cook for him, literally breaking my back to physically look good for him, giving him massages every night, being insanely compassionate and patient with him, and I gave him so many chances.
Why do I have to deal with the cheating behavior and his lies. Why me? I don't know what to do anymore. I mean we had so many amazing memories and he has been very loving and affectionate and caring to me, but there's another side to him that just makes me want to disappear forever. I don't think I can ever trust him again unless he deletes his socials and he's made me cried so many times and continues on with his behavior and thinks it's ok. I'm at the point now where it might be a good idea to leave and just focus building up my life and achieving independence. I told my family how great he was and he's just been doing me wrong a lot. The only thing that's keeping me in this relationship end of the day is that we had the best memories together, he's funny, loving and affectionate, and tries to go out of his way to make me happy. If it weren't for the infidelity and his lying, he would be an amazing boyfriend, but sadly that's not the case. It might just be best for me to leave and move on and be back with my family again. I haven't seen them in so long and I'm mad that im hours away from people that actually love me and im with a man currently that has done me so wrong in the past and probably even now. I can't handle this anxiety and sadness.

Finally, this week (May 21, 2024), Stifel raised its price target for BAH to $170 from $155 (from the chart above that you can't see, BAH was $156.83), keeping a buy rating since ā€œAI, cyber and IT modernization remain in focus for the government.ā€ Besides, there have been recently approved federal budget and supplemental spending packages.
According to data from William Blair, the analyst sentiment towards Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) is overwhelmingly positive. Not a single soul is suggesting to sell, which paints a promising picture for our tale.

Just recently ā€” on April 30, 2024 ā€” Booz Allen Hamilton announced the launch of aiSSEMBLE Baseline, a first-of-its-kind, open-source solution built to simplify the engineering and deployment of AI systems.
Booz Allen Hamilton boasts that aiSSEMBLE is the core tool cementing its status as the leading AI provider to the U.S. federal government. If thatā€™s the case, it suggests that this new foundational code, complete with open-source documentation and free for use by government, academic, nonprofit, and commercial entities, could further extend Booz Allenā€™s lead.
It can also help them with talent acquisition. By opening the doors to aiSSEMBLE, Booz Allen is inviting a wave of innovation from all corners ā€” government agencies, universities, nonprofits, and private firms ā€” because some bright sparks out there will undoubtedly create remarkable innovations using aiSSEMBLE, catching Booz Allenā€™s eye in the process.
Thereā€™s one kink, thoughā€¦
Booz Allen Hamiltonā€™s own top brass sold shares on May 21, 2024. Those actions were filed with the SEC a day before BHA was scheduled to report earnings. There are eight Form-4s. For those not in the know, a Form-4 is a statement of changes in beneficial ownership of securities by company insiders.
But wait a second. Letā€™s dig deeper.
All the Form-4s state they first acquired shares through the vesting of performance-based restricted stock units (RSUs). These RSUs are a form of compensation granted to employees, becoming vested and thereby exercisable or transferable based on achieving specific performance criteria over a set period. In other words, they hit a target ā€” they accomplish a goal ā€” and theyā€™re rewarded with stock.
The shares they sold are just a part of the shares acquired. For instance, the CEO ā€” Horacio Rozanski ā€” received 71,575 shares, and he decided to sell 34,571. The EVP & Chief Operating Officer Kristine Anderson acquired 7,544 shares and sold 3,644.
Not a single one of them decided to sell the farm and run away.
Therefore, they might have sold a portion to cover taxes or diversify their portfolios. This is a common practice and doesnā€™t necessarily reflect a lack of confidence in the companyā€™s future.
Besides, the number of shares sold is minimal compared to the total number they still hold. I told you the CEO sold 34,571 shares, but he is still holding 579,025 more. Kristine sold 3,644, but she still has 72,761.
In the end, it is not a red flag. But it was a kink I didnā€™t appreciate, considering they still decided to sell before earnings. Then again, itā€™s quite plausible that Booz Allen Hamiltonā€™s top brass might be governed by internal clauses dictating when they can sell their vested shares. After all, many companies have strict trading windows and blackout periods to prevent any appearance of insider trading or conflict of interest.
Nonetheless, this was one of the two reasons why I only bought a trunk instead of backing up a Freightliner to load up with shares.
How my gambit played out
Honestly, there's no point in narrating the play on Reddit since I can't add the entry, premarket charts, profit, or any attachments. So... if you care about how I played this, the link is here.
One more insight I learned
Booz Allen Hamilton and its helmsman, Horacio Rozanski, arenā€™t clamoring atop the AI hype train, hollering for investors to crown them the new AI darling everyone should own.
Make no mistake, theyā€™re an AI powerhouse. Itā€™s just that theyā€™re not focused on selling the sizzle.
In the current world, where companies blare out press releases at the faintest whiff of anything AI-related to entice investors, Booz Allen Hamilton ā€” armed with bona fide credentials ā€” opts to toil diligently away from the limelight.
Perhaps itā€™s by design, though. Considering this is a company that lists its fiscal 2024 revenue with most projects cloaked in secrecy.

So what happens now?
Iā€™ve already tipped my hand and no longer hold any BAH shares. My play has come and gone.
Now, after reading this essay, could someone consider investing in Booz Allen Hamilton? Maybe. AI is set to grow, the U.S. government is bound to expand its AI use, and this company is already well-positioned to secure more projects.
So, why am I not invested in BAH? Because Iā€™m neither an investor nor a position trader. Iā€™m a short-term swing trader. I played this earnings catalyst, made some profit, and then walked away.
Granted, after this deep dive, Iā€™ll keep an eye on BAH and might tag along if she sets up for a northward run. But I know my timeframe. I know my trading style and my limitations.
Likewise, itā€™s up to you to know your trading style and decide what to do with this information.
Keep in mind, BAH experienced some volatility selling, and the implied volatility dipped post-earnings and guidance. Probably because some who positioned ahead of earnings were expecting a bigger leap. Itā€™s logical to assume some will take their profits, so don't jump blindly.
On the flip side, these earnings mostly flew under the radar. Booz Allen Hamilton remains an AI colossus that most retail traders havenā€™t even heard of. Besides, do you know how many will actually read this and understand the information?

Never switched a bank account before?

You should consider it. It is one of the easiest and most efficient ways of earning a little beermoney. It is advised to leave your main bank account alone. Instead, switch a secondary bank account, or open a new account at your current bank to be used just for switching. Recommended steps:
  1. Open a second current account with your main high street bank (must be part of CASS service)
  2. Set up direct debits on the second account (if required).
  3. Add Ā£1 to your second account. This will be transferred to your new account, allowing you to see when the switch has been completed.
  4. Apply for a new account and arrange to switch to your second bank account (sometimes this is during the application process, other times it is after the account is opened).
  5. Let the current account switch service take care of everything.
  6. Make sure all other terms are met (e.g. pay in money if needed).
  7. Receive your bank switching bonus.
You will hear about lots of people rushing through all of the switch bonuses available. These offers have been coming and going for years, my advice is to do an offer that tickles your fancy and try out a new bank. Then, if you decide you do not like your new bank you should sample another bank and get paid again!

Yes, usually, most terms will state that a switch just has to be started (or applied for) before the end date or before an offer ends.

No and not usually, as long as the amount you pay in adds up to the required amount, and as long as you pay it in before the deadline stated in the terms. There has been one exception to this - Co-op - so check individual terms.

Current Account Switch Bribes - Why do they offer them?

They want your business. Banks like fighting each other for customers. Most of them know they can't win by highlighting their outdated systems and products, so they fight each other by offering potential customers cash bribes (or equivalent) to switch their "main" bank account.

Can I switch any bank account to get a bribe?

No. You must switch a bank account that is part of The Current Account Switch Service (CASS). Most high street banks are included. But some Neo Banks are not (e.g., Kroo, Revolut, & Monese are not included). You should try to avoid switching your main bank account. You can always open an additional account just to switch.

Is it too much hassle?

No. The Current Account Switch Service (CASS) makes switching your account between most banks smooth and effortless. You do not have to do anything apart from apply for and set up a new account at a different bank and tell them you want to switch your account to them. Everything is transferred automatically (except recurring card payments).

Is there the best route to sample all the banks with switch offers?

Do the offer ending soonest first. Then you might switch again. If you complete all offers in this post, you could earn yourself >Ā£1000.

Banks have been offering bribes on and off for many years. We can't predict the future. But this is not a new thing.

How long does a bank switch take?

Approximately one week.

Do I have to switch my main account?

You could. But you don't have to. Many people have second bank accounts. One option may be to open up a second account with your current high street bank, add some direct debits to this second account and then switch it to the new bank you want to try out. On the sub, people also like Starling or Monzo as they are easy to set up (but you might want to switch back to them at the end - their functionality wins vs any usual high street bank).
High-street banks also let you open multiple accounts. If you already have an account with one, you might want to open an additional one with your current bank first (Halifax, NatWest etc are reported to allow several current accounts and to be fast to open).

I have savings accounts at the same bank as my current account. Can I still switch to this current account?

Yes. Only the current account will be closed (some linked regular savers may be converted to normal savings accounts). You might want to consider if switching to a secondary account is a better option.

My new bank has not given me my account number (e.g. NatWest).

Usually, these are sent via post/email when you sign up. But some banks don't have the account numbers on the card, or maybe letters get lost in the post. If this happens, wait for the card to arrive and contact their support. If you get a bot on the chat thing, type "speak to a human" repeatedly.

My new bank account is a premium account and it has a fee. Do I need to keep paying for this?

No. You can downgrade the account. But you should probably wait until you have been paid the bonus.

I don't like my new bank, do I need to wait for the bank card before switching again?

Yes. See question above. Most banks require the card details of your existing account.

I made an account just to switch. Can I switch before my new bank card arrives?

Best not to. You are asked to enter the debit card information as part of the process.

Finally got round to creating a personal finance tracking sheet, and Iā€™m an Excel NOOB.
Finally Got the monthly summery page set, after much frustration, anger and annoyance.
Now Iā€™m trying to create a daily sheet, in which I can input my daily expenses/receipts, eg when I cheat and buy coffee out (regular occurrence), snacks etc etc.
Iā€™m thinking the most effective way to do this will be to group individual stores to seperate types of purchases, for example code Starbucks & Tim Hortons the same to track coffee expenses etc etc, then link these codes to the monthly spreadsheet to give me my monthly expenditure of all coffee shops etc.
Or am I completely high and there is a way easier method to do this?
