I've been scouring this page for the last 6 weeks since finding my fibroids and thought I would go ahead and just share my story, as I feel like I've gone from 0 to 100 in a short amount of time. I'm sorry this is long.
Just for context, I'm 31 years old, no kids yet, but want them. In September 2022, I had a Paragard IUD placed for BC. Since then, I'd had heavy and longer periods (6 days) with painful cramps, which a is typical side effect of the Paragard. About 6 weeks ago, I was having some sharp stabbing pains on my lower left side the day after my period was over, but I attributed it to residual cramping. The next day, the pain got worse to the point where I thought my IUD might be dislodged or I had an infection, so I went to Urgent Care. After a urine sample, the NP cleared me of an infection but suggested I go to the ER for an ultrasound, thinking the pain might be ovarian-related.
In the ER, I was admitted immediately and taken for abdominal and vaginal ultrasounds and a CT with contrast. With that, they told me nothing was wrong except they just saw a low lying IUD and uterine fibroids (3 fibroids ranging from 2-3cm). I asked why I could be having pain come on so suddenly, but they said they didn't have an answer for me. Fibroids this small shouldn't be causing this much pain, but suggested I see a gynecologist immediately.
I'd never seen a gyno before, because my primary care physician has always handled my pap smears, birth control, etc. so I booked an appt with a new doctor. Doctor #1 brought me into an exam room and just told me they looked at my ultrasounds from the ER and said to book another appt in 3 weeks to do another ultrasound and sent me packing.
The next few days, the cramping was too painful and I realized I couldn't wait 3 weeks so booked an appt with another gynecologist. Doctor #2 actually took the time to give me a pelvic exam and felt for the fibroids. Conclusion 1 was that the fibroids had slowly pushed my IUD down to my cervix which was causing my pain. My IUD was removed and I made an appt for another ultrasound 3 weeks later.
Sharp stabbing pains did go away, however frequent painful cramping still remained on my lower left abdomen and lower left back. During my period, the pain was unbelievable and literally had me sobbing on the couch. I relayed this to the gynecologist at the next appt. 2nd ultrasound actually revealed an additional fibroid about 5cm wide at the back of my uterus. Dr said the treatment is going to depend on my pain level. We decided to put me on Lo Loestrin Fe and check back in 3 months. Option 2 would be a myomectomy.
TLDR; 4 small fibroids causing unbelievable pain in my lower left abdomen and lower left back. Trying out Lo Lo Fe to manage pain and bleeding, but considering surgery if pain continues. Does anyone have any experience using birth control pills to manage fibroid pain? Any success stories? The pain is debilitating and prevents me from concentrating on anything else. Work ethic and quality of life has gone down exponentially in the last month. I'm praying that the BC works, but if not, I'm worried my only other option is surgery.

You should already know that in today's financial markets, artificial intelligence (AI) has emerged as the golden prodigy, with investors flocking like bees to honey, eagerly snapping up stocks from those trailblazing companies leading the AI revolution.
Amidst this fervor, one company stands as the top purveyor of AI services to the U.S. government. Yet, it remains unknown to the general populace.
This essay delves into why Booz Allen Hamilton has earned this position, the significant impact of its AI initiatives, and what this means for traders keen to ride the AI boom.

Well now, picture this: The clock has just struck midnight, and today — Friday, May 24, 2024 — has only begun to stretch its legs. I literally just mentioned that I originally wrote this research before Booz Allen Hamilton’s fourth quarter and full-year fiscal 2024 results. Just a few hours ago, I went and bought myself a trunk full of Booz Allen Hamilton shares. And wouldn’t you know it, in just a handful of hours, that very company is set to unveil their earnings report, promising a significant move in the stock, one way or another. Again, I wrote this last week before the earnings.
I leaped into this play guided by my trader’s intuition. Now, as I burn the midnight oil, I’m digging into the logic and facts behind that decision. I figured, heck, why not pen an essay about the things I uncover along the way?

A bit of history
Booz Allen Hamilton is no hip upstart. Nope. This institution was founded way back in 1914 by one Edwin G. Booz in the bustling city of Chicago, offering management consulting services before it was even fashionable.
During the 1940s, it played a pivotal role in World War II, aiding the U.S. military in improving efficiency and logistics. A decade later, the firm found a niche working with U.S. defense contracts, cementing its reputation as a trusted advisor to Uncle Sam.
So why focus on a company named like a law firm?
Well, according to GovWin from Deltek — a leading market intelligence organization — Booz Allen is the number one provider of artificial intelligence (AI) services to the U.S. government.
And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that the market currently embraces anything related to artificial intelligence with open arms and a hearty cheer. AI is the belle of the ball.

For perspective, exactly one year ago (May 24, 2023), NVIDIA had a market capitalization of $760.2 billion. Today, she’s valued at $2.55 trillion. Why? It’s largely due to the insatiably high demand for its AI chips, which are essential for powering advanced AI applications.
A reliable uptrend
Booz Allen Hamilton boasts a legacy spanning over a century — they consider it 110 years young — but it wasn’t until 2010 that it opened its doors to public investors, trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol BAH.
And if we take a gander at the company’s story as told by its yearly chart, from a humble low of $11.85 in 2012, Booz Allen has steadily climbed the ladder of success, closing today — or yesterday — at $156.83.

That’s a 1,224% ascent, with only a single slightly red year in between, marring the record in 2021. That’s quite the tale of endurance and growth, wouldn’t you say?
Aren’t we late to the party, though?
Well, Booz Allen Hamilton’s current market capitalization stands at a tidy $20 billion. It’s nothing to scoff at, mind you, but to put things in perspective, this ranks Booz Allen as the 955th most valuable company. There’s still plenty of rungs left to climb on the ladder and ample room for growth down the road.
A significant catalyst
I’m sharing a monthly chart. Generally speaking, BAH was meandering sideways for nearly three years. That is, until a year ago, on May 26, 2023, to be precise.

Following that earnings report, the stock kicked up her heels and went on a 38% run over the next two months.
Also, aside from better-than-expected earnings, Booz Allen Hamilton was awarded a $919 million Engineering, Development, Integration, and Technology-based Solutions (EDITS) contract.
The contract supports the “Soldier as a System” concept, enhancing warfighter capabilities across multiple Department of Defense (DoD) agencies. The EDITS program promotes collaboration across service boundaries and aims to modernize and equip military tactical units, improving lethality, survivability, and situational awareness.
Look at the competition
Hold your horses. It’s not just one contract or one project propelling Booz Allen Hamilton skyward. The tide of AI is lifting all boats, so it’s not just one company sailing full steam ahead.
Granted, Booz Allen offers a smorgasbord of services, thus facing several competitors in various fields. However, if we narrow our focus to the AI sector, some of the most direct competitors are:
Leidos Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: LDOS)
Leidos provides AI and machine learning solutions to various U.S. government agencies, including the Department of Defense (DoD). Their AI capabilities are integrated into solutions for cybersecurity, data analysis, and operational efficiency in defense and intelligence operations.

As you can see, when earnings roll around, these companies tend to pop and set off on a run northward, much like a hound hot on the trail. Each earnings report can become a potential catalyst, sparking a surge in investor enthusiasm and sending stock prices climbing. That’s what I’m playing. What I played.

Booz Allen Hamilton is involved in several high-profile projects that leverage AI. Some notable projects include:
Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2)
Booz Allen supports the U.S. Department of Defense’s CJADC2 initiative alongside L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX), which aims to integrate sensors, data, and weapon systems across all military domains — land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace — using AI and machine learning to enhance situational awareness and decision-making capabilities.
Project Maven
Booz Allen has been a key contractor in Project Maven, an AI program initiated by the Department of Defense, which among other things, aims to analyze video footage from drones using machine learning algorithms to identify objects and patterns, significantly improving intelligence and surveillance operations.
Project Linchpin
It is the U.S. Army’s first program of record providing an artificial intelligence operations pipeline. It is currently just a $2 million contract to support research and development, but it is anticipated to be followed by subsequent juicier contracts.

Booz Allen also made a strategic investment in Albedo, the first company to operate satellites in very low Earth orbit (VLEO), which enables them to offer ultra-high resolution commercial imagery from space.
Let’s take a moment to chill because it’s not all black ops and military projects.
U.S. Department of Energy
On March 12, 2024, Booz Allen Hamilton announced it was awarded a ten-year $550 million contract from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) to support the advancement of high-potential, high-impact, early-stage technologies that generate, store, and use energy in entirely new ways to reduce U.S. emissions, improve energy efficiency, and increase the resiliency and reliability of the U.S. power grid.
To give you an idea, ARPA-E is tasked with identifying, shepherding, and accelerating “…the stuff that sounds crazy until it changes the world.”
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
On May 8, 2024, the company announced it was awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Research and Development (ORD) to support the agency’s modernization efforts and its mission to protect human health and the environment. Booz Allen won one of four positions on the seven-year Scientific Modeling, Application, Visualization, Computational Science, Software, and Statistical Support (SMAVCS4) BPA, which has a ceiling of $431 million.

Booz Allen has nearly 200 active AI projects across defense, national security, and civil missions — including three of the largest AI contracts within the Department of Defense.
Understandably, many of them are top secret. 🤐 Late last year, an analyst noted that 2,200 BAH employees are considered ‘AI staff,’ with a staggering 80% holding government security clearances. The company’s AI capabilities are not just extensive but also deeply integrated into sensitive areas of national security.

What analysts are saying
In a February research report, William Blair analyst Louie DiPalma mentioned that the outbreak of multiple wars and the artificial intelligence boom “have led to an inflection in government tech hiring and bookings that we feel has some serious legs.”
And also, that Booz Allen “remains the government’s go-to source to modernize the military and prepare for conflicts.” In fact, the company “has more backlog than it can handle as government spending has surged on Pacific tensions and AI prototyping.”
Finally, this week (May 21, 2024), Stifel raised its price target for BAH to $170 from $155 (from the chart above that you can't see, BAH was $156.83), keeping a buy rating since “AI, cyber and IT modernization remain in focus for the government.” Besides, there have been recently approved federal budget and supplemental spending packages.
According to data from William Blair, the analyst sentiment towards Booz Allen Hamilton (BAH) is overwhelmingly positive. Not a single soul is suggesting to sell, which paints a promising picture for our tale.

Their aiSSEMBLE solution
Just recently — on April 30, 2024 — Booz Allen Hamilton announced the launch of aiSSEMBLE Baseline, a first-of-its-kind, open-source solution built to simplify the engineering and deployment of AI systems.
Booz Allen Hamilton boasts that aiSSEMBLE is the core tool cementing its status as the leading AI provider to the U.S. federal government. If that’s the case, it suggests that this new foundational code, complete with open-source documentation and free for use by government, academic, nonprofit, and commercial entities, could further extend Booz Allen’s lead.
It can also help them with talent acquisition. By opening the doors to aiSSEMBLE, Booz Allen is inviting a wave of innovation from all corners — government agencies, universities, nonprofits, and private firms — because some bright sparks out there will undoubtedly create remarkable innovations using aiSSEMBLE, catching Booz Allen’s eye in the process.
There’s one kink, though…
Booz Allen Hamilton’s own top brass sold shares on May 21, 2024. Those actions were filed with the SEC a day before BHA was scheduled to report earnings. There are eight Form-4s. For those not in the know, a Form-4 is a statement of changes in beneficial ownership of securities by company insiders.
But wait a second. Let’s dig deeper.
All the Form-4s state they first acquired shares through the vesting of performance-based restricted stock units (RSUs). These RSUs are a form of compensation granted to employees, becoming vested and thereby exercisable or transferable based on achieving specific performance criteria over a set period. In other words, they hit a target — they accomplish a goal — and they’re rewarded with stock.
The shares they sold are just a part of the shares acquired. For instance, the CEO — Horacio Rozanski — received 71,575 shares, and he decided to sell 34,571. The EVP & Chief Operating Officer Kristine Anderson acquired 7,544 shares and sold 3,644.
Not a single one of them decided to sell the farm and run away.
Therefore, they might have sold a portion to cover taxes or diversify their portfolios. This is a common practice and doesn’t necessarily reflect a lack of confidence in the company’s future.
Besides, the number of shares sold is minimal compared to the total number they still hold. I told you the CEO sold 34,571 shares, but he is still holding 579,025 more. Kristine sold 3,644, but she still has 72,761.
In the end, it is not a red flag. But it was a kink I didn’t appreciate, considering they still decided to sell before earnings. Then again, it’s quite plausible that Booz Allen Hamilton’s top brass might be governed by internal clauses dictating when they can sell their vested shares. After all, many companies have strict trading windows and blackout periods to prevent any appearance of insider trading or conflict of interest.
Nonetheless, this was one of the two reasons why I only bought a trunk instead of backing up a Freightliner to load up with shares.
How my gambit played out

One more insight I learned
Booz Allen Hamilton and its helmsman, Horacio Rozanski, aren’t clamoring atop the AI hype train, hollering for investors to crown them the new AI darling everyone should own.
Make no mistake, they’re an AI powerhouse. It’s just that they’re not focused on selling the sizzle.
In the current world, where companies blare out press releases at the faintest whiff of anything AI-related to entice investors, Booz Allen Hamilton — armed with bona fide credentials — opts to toil diligently away from the limelight.
Perhaps it’s by design, though. Considering this is a company that lists its fiscal 2024 revenue with most projects cloaked in secrecy.

So what happens now?
I’ve already tipped my hand and no longer hold any BAH shares. My play has come and gone.
Now, after reading this essay, could someone consider investing in Booz Allen Hamilton? Maybe. AI is set to grow, the U.S. government is bound to expand its AI use, and this company is already well-positioned to secure more projects.
So, why am I not invested in BAH? Because I’m neither an investor nor a position trader. I’m a short-term swing trader. I played this earnings catalyst, made some profit, and then walked away.
Granted, after this deep dive, I’ll keep an eye on BAH and might tag along if she sets up for a northward run. But I know my timeframe. I know my trading style and my limitations.
Likewise, it’s up to you to know your trading style and decide what to do with this information.
Keep in mind, BAH experienced some volatility selling, and the implied volatility dipped post-earnings and guidance. Probably because some who positioned ahead of earnings were expecting a bigger leap. It’s logical to assume some will take their profits, so don't jump blindly.
On the flip side, these earnings mostly flew under the radar. Booz Allen Hamilton remains an AI colossus that most retail traders haven’t even heard of. Besides, do you know how many will actually read this and understand the information?

I stayed up way too late last night and got up way too early this morning trying to put this together. I should probably edit it more, but oh well. This is what I have. I need to go do some other stuff now.

Probably should have waited to post until I toiled some more. I want to add to the deadpool theory. Not take away from it, just add to it. I think the Deadpool and Retail Pool go more hand in hand. I think the Deadpool is the original pool that feeds the retail pool.
The key for me has always been how the naked shares are created. Over a year ago I honestly reached a point where the DD was a jumbled mess in my mind. I wanted to start from zero and see what I could find, but not really zero because I had read a lot of DD, thanks to others I knew what to start searching for, so I set out.

PLAYING BY THE RULES?
I wanted to research that old DD by looking at the rules of naked shorting. When I would look into old DD and theories, I kept ending up at the answer of fraud. They didn’t stand up to the rules, unless lots o’ fraud was involved. Until I got to ETFs….
Now again, if you want more info go read the first four citations up at the top. The first 2 citations are PhD papers covering possible naked shorting and the Options loophole. This is the old way, this Options loophole was closed by the SEC back in 2008. For the new ETF way of naked shorting you can explore citations 3 and 4. These two citations cover how ETFs could be used to still naked short today. This is why I always felt the reactions to my old DD were so strange. I’m basically saying there could be a monstrous naked shorting position out in the market and it could be operating under the rules. No fraud is needed! Why didn’t superstonk respond with more positivity to my old DD a year ago?! I still think that DD did a pretty good job of laying out how naked shorters could be operating under the rules.
The rules make it clear to me that:
BULLET SWAPS – Can’t be used to make naked shares of a stock. If a naked shorter points to bullet swaps as where they got the shares from then the SEC should laugh in their face. You would need a lot of SEC fraud. Bullet swaps would have other good uses, but not for the actual creation of naked shares.
REHYPOTHECATION – The idea here is that the naked shorter borrows shares infinitely. The naked shorter points to the borrow and sure the SEC could let that pass, but it should still count as a borrow. Otherwise, you need more SEC fraud to explain this one. The Market should see the naked short position because it should be tagged as borrowed, and the naked shorter would also need to pay for that borrow. These are both things the naked shorter is trying to avoid – that’s why they create naked shares rather than borrow shares. Alternatively, the naked shorter could have a deal with a broker. The naked shorter does infinite borrows off of the brokers stock, but again you would need fraud from the broker and the broker would likely demand payment on the “borrows”. For rehypothecation to work you need a lot of fraud and naked shorters would likely need to pay borrow fees. Properly creating naked shares within the rules means no borrowing would be done (could be expensive) and means no fraud has to be done.
OPTIONS – This is where it gets confusing. Options used to be used to naked short, I wrote a big DD on this about a year ago. It has a lot of pictures and deep dives into a lot of stuff including options. If you want to learn more about the options loophole, don’t read my old DD, scroll back up to the top and read some of Welborn’s Options work (citations 1 and 2).
You would need two participants to naked short back in the day and I believe that’s how it’s still done today. One would be a Market Maker and one would typically be a Hedge Fund. The Market Maker had special privileges around options, MMs and only MMs could point to un-exercised options as a locate for shares. They create shares out of thin air and send them to a hedge fund. The hedge fund sells the MM back futures contracts and/or calls. The Market Maker uses the calls as a locates and the Market is none the wiser. Or is just apathetic. But they were technically following the rules as written. These packages of naked shares would have been built with options, futures, and naked shares all packaged together. This Options Market Maker loophole went away in 2008.
Options should not be an effective loophole for creating massive amounts of naked shares anymore. Again, you would need lots of SEC fraud.
ETFs – I’m not just throwing ETFs out there. There is a fucking fantastic Welborn paper (citation 4) and also a youtube video from a business professor (citation 3) on ETFs and how ETFs could possibly be used to naked short. To use ETFs you would still need a Market Maker and a Hedge Fund (the HF could be another MM or big institution). The Market Maker has special privileges. 1. They can pull shares out of ETFs. 2. They can also set future redemption/creation dates with that same Hedge Fund and not tell anybody. It seems the Options loophole to naked short was replaced with an ETF redemption/creation loophole to naked short.

The new ETF loophole:
  1. The Market Maker and the Hedge Fund enter into an agreement that the Market Maker will create ETFs for the Hedge Fund far in the future.
  2. The Market Maker sends naked ETFs to the Hedge Fund.
  3. The Hedge Fund sends the naked ETFs back to the Market Maker and redeems them (requests) that the ETFs be opened up for the (naked) shares inside.
If the SEC comes sniffing around they’re just going to see a bunch of shares sitting in the Hedge Funds account. They were pulled out of an ETF for him by the Market Maker. The SEC goes to the Market Maker and the Market Maker says, “yep, pulled ‘‘em out of ETFs for the Hedge Fund.” SEC says, “cool”.
If the SEC goes back to the Hedge Fund and asks where they got the ETFs from he points to the Market Maker. SEC, “sounds good, can I leave you my resume?”
If the SEC goes to the Market Maker and asks where he got the ETFs, the Market Maker would probably say, “Ha! Fuck if I know! I could buy and sell a million of that fucking ETF in a day. You want to look through our ledgers?” SEC, “Oh. I should probably take ‘em, but I’ll just look at porn instead. You guys hiring?”
  1. 4. The Hedge Fund now has naked shares from the Market Maker that look like real shares to the SEC. The Hedge Fund can sell them into the market to naked short and it just looks like selling shares. The Deadpool has been created.
The Deadpool. Naked shorters creating a pool of naked shares between themselves. Now they’d likely want to set expirations for this position far in the future. The Deadpool was just to create the original naked shares. You want to naked short the stock into the ground which could take decades, so you’d want this pool you created to last as long as possible.
These naked shares from the Market Maker to the Hedge Fund would be insured through futures and/or LEAPS. I believe they would likely insure them with one another using futures contracts instead of LEAPS, but I’m not positive. Either way, this “insurance” means that if it gets to expiration and the Hedge Fund hasn’t delivered shares, the Market Maker can use those futures contracts to force delivery. But why might we also see naked shorters holding huge amounts of options? The options could be hedging and leveraging with the wider market (not other naked shorters).
So, if naked shorters are using futures to insure that they won’t be left holding the bag with one another then they would likely want to use common expiration dates for LEAPS. That lets them grab some “insurance” (Call Options) and extra leverage (Put Options) from non-naked shorters. If the naked shorters position blows up and they owe the other naked shorter shares then they can use their calls to get some shares from the market. Or if they’re position does well then they can make extra profits off of their puts.

The Hedge Fund is selling the naked shares from the Deadpool through the Market Maker into retail hands. Now the hedge fund like the market maker is going to want some futures or calls to make sure the market maker sells the shares back to him. But they’ll probably do this on a shorter timeline. Maybe they built the dealpool with three year expirations. Now they’ll naked short to retail probably using 1 year expirations.
I think retails average is about nine months for holding a stock. A year should be enough time to find a new share to buy in order to close/roll an old naked share. Retail naked shares would likely expire every March, June, September, December. Naked shorters are constantly closing and rolling their naked shorts with retail throughout the year. Or at least that’s the idea, usually retail sells pretty quickly and naked shorters can keep driving the price down.
Here’s a diagram to visualize deadpools and retail pools together. The red is the deadpool. The deadpools are the original pools of naked shares that are created with long expirations. It would make sense to have these expire three years out so 1. they last long – don’t have to keep creating naked shares and 2. they can be hedged/leveraged with the wider market using common expiration dates.
Then the yellow would be the pools of naked shares that are sold to retail. These would have shorter expirations because ideally the naked shorter would want to churn these in a year or less.
The naked shorters create a big deadpool of naked shares that will expire in three years. Then, if they’re using 1 year expirations with retail, they can use those naked shares in the market up to three times.

Now look at where expiration dates line up between red pools and yellow pools. January and June. January and June are common expiration dates for LEAPS. Again, if the naked shorters want to hedge/leverage with the wider market then these would be the expiration dates they would want to build their naked shares around.
If the naked shares are built in this way then January of 2021 could have been a time where some of the Retail Pool and some of the Deadpool were expiring. Let’s say it’s a big expiration time and there are not enough shares. Maybe some DFV dude and a bunch of other retail investors are buying calls and shares. In this scenario, the Market Maker would try to find shares to close/roll the position. If unable, then the Hedge Fund would need to exercise their “insurance” and demand the shares from the MM. The Market Maker also has “insurance” though because he’s the big boy and he won’t be left holding the bag. The MM throws down his uno reverse card and screams, “No! You!”
BASKET THEORY – Why do other stocks move hard with GME at certain times?
Alright, let’s say naked shorters are building their positions how I’ve laid out. When naked shorters open the ETFs at the beginning of the deadpool, they are also pulling out naked shares of other companies. They could use those shares for a lot of different things. They could hold them and sell options to make money. Or they could also naked short some of those companies too.
Maybe, they open an ETF and pull out naked GME and some naked POPCORN. They could also naked short POPCORN into the market. It would move differently on a shorter timescale to GME because they’re rolling the position with retail a year at a time. It might move more in line with GME on a longer time scale.
When the deadpool expires they need to finish buying shares and creating ETFs. That could mean buying a bunch of different stocks at one time. Buy some the remaining GME, POPCORN, HEADPHONES, etc. and close/finish rolling your deadpool position by packaging those shares up into nice little ETFs.
2021 – 2024
This could all explain some of the wild stuff we’ve been seeing lately.
  1. Big price movement could signify that a big chunk of the deadpool opened three years ago could be expiring. Was all of that position rolled? Was a really big chunk of the deadpool created three years ago? I honestly have no clue.
  2. June would likely be when a chunk of retail naked shares also need to be closed/rolled. Retail naked shares expiring would be a yearly occurrence.
  3. Price movement of unrelated stocks. If a big chunk of the deadpool was built three years ago and is now expiring that would mean that shares need to be bought in order to finally create some ETFs. ETFs are made from baskets of stocks. If a naked shorters need to buy some other companies to build their ETFs then you could see price jumps in unrelated stocks.
  4. The naked shorted company sells some shares. Sure, some suspicious shit happened with your stock and maybe it could be naked shorting, but naked shorting is illegal and shorts closed, right? Really you just need cash to revolutionize your company so you put it out there that you’d like to start sell some shares. This could look like an off ramp for anyone who was naked shorting or someone who inherited a bunch of naked shorts. Might as well ask if you can get some of those shares. You know exactly when a large chunk of the deadpool is expiring because you’re know holding that toxic shit, so you’ll wait until the last minute to get out. How do you “insure” you can get out? If you can’t get enough shares directly from the company or from the market then your next best bet is options…
  5. Lots of options being bought lately. Let’s say you know you need a shit ton of shares soon and you have a pretty strong feeling that the stock price could rocket soon. You have a finite amount of cash you can spend on shares. You can buy options! We covered how they’re like insurance.
Let’s keep the math simple and use 100 batches since options are sold in 100 share batches. You need 100 shares of Stock A by June 22nd. Stock A is around $20. You do the math and find out you have enough money to buy 100 shares and 1 $20 call. 100 shares of stock A at $20 would be $2000 and let’s say the call would be about $200. You have $2200 total. Now, there’s no guarantee that you can get 100 shares in the market for $20, especially if you think buying pressure is about to turn on hard. By your 100th share you could be paying a lot more, meaning your $2200 could run out before you have 100 shares.
And you NEED 100 shares! The call insures that someone else has to find the shares for $20 each. You spend your $200 on the call option expiring June 22nd. Now you’re guaranteed to get your 100 shares for $20 each even if the price skyrockets. You spent $2200 on 100 shares.
Again, no one knows who is buying these calls or why, but this could line up nicely with my theory that a chunk of the deadpool is expiring soon.
I don’t want to get anyone excited for MOASS. I’ve made bad predictions in the past. In the past I thought a MOASS would probably happen in March, but that was because I hadn’t connected the deadpool to everything. Don’t get hyped, but if deadpools are built with January and June expirations then it would make sense that MOASS could happen in January or June. It would explain why naked shorters almost got fucked in January 2021. If, they were able to survive and push a huge chunk of their deadpool out three years then June 2024 could be a rough time for them. I’m not going to say it’s a guarantee of a MOASS this June/July. I will say that I really would not want to be a naked shorter trying to roll a bad bet on GME this June.
Now this is all conjecture, but what if part of the deadpool needed to be rolled in January of 2021? Meaning the Hedge Fund needed to settle up with the Market Maker so they could finish closing the deadpool and keep the position rolling.
Now the Deadpool was the original pool of naked shares. The Market Maker pulled these naked shares out of ETFs and sent them to the Hedge Fund. Naked shorters usually want to keep the train going until the company is bankrupt so they’d usually keep closing and rolling the deadpool until that happens.
So, if you’ve followed along then January of 2021 could have been a pretty key date where a Market Maker may have needed to buy to settle a portion of the Retail Pool. These would be shares that the Hedge Fund naked shorted to retail through the Market Maker – insuring with futures and/or LEAPS. Then the Hedge Fund would have also needed to finish settling a portion of the Deadpool back to the Market Maker that’s about to expire. Again, these deadpool naked shares are the original naked shares pulled out of ETFs, probably three years ago. They’ve been using and abusing that naked share with retail for three years, probably a year or so at a time.
If the position blew up, say in January of 2021 then some Hedge Funds would have also blown the fuck up. First, the market maker would go to the market and try to buy shares. No shares. The market maker turns to the hedge fund and says, “sorry, no shares.” This is why the Hedge Fund bough “insurance” or hedged with his “buddy”. The Hedge Fund uses his contracts with the Market Maker to say, “here’s the cash, where are the shares?”
The Market Maker plays his reverse uno card: The original contracts he made with the Hedge Fund when the naked shares were created and says, “No! You!”
Hedge Fund: Fuck! There are no shares!
MM: Not my problem. Where are my shares?
Market: No shares.
The Market Maker has the Hedge Funds other positions liquidated until there’s enough cash to buy shares in the market. In asinine cases where this happens the market might allow the Market Maker to just turn off the buy button to save his sorry ass. This is considered by many to be complete bullshit.
The deadpool is closed/rolled. Possibly three years into the future. 2021 to 2024.
I think there might always be a Deadpool that then feeds the Retail Pool.
My other DD adds to the Deadpool theory and rehashes some of this, but the gist is that if you can create a deadpool with your “buddy” then could you just add a ton to the deadpool three years ago through the market to drive the price down and not add it to the retail pool. In other words, more naked shares that drive the price down, but they end up in your “friends” hands. He also want to drive the price down so you can worry less.
Adding to the deadpool in a really desperate time would make sense to me. Now if a bunch of shares were added to the deadpool three years ago and were split by the splividend then how does that all work? I think with a normal split, naked shares that are split in the deadpool could be settled with cash. Does the splividend change that?
In other words, if there were a bunch of naked shares shat into the deadpool three years ago. Then they were split, but delivery was delayed until expiration. And now they’re finally expiring. Can they be settled with cash or do real shares need to be bought to fulfill the long overdue splividend?
THE DRS POOL

This just tries to simplify thing. The way the naked share is likely built results in it ending up in a deadpool between the naked shorters. They then pull naked shares from the deadpool and send them out into the market to naked short.
Good thing, you have recourse! Believe you’ve been sold a naked share?! Your only way to truly find out if you have a real share or not is by DRSing. Pull your shares into the DRS Pool. Now you can have peace of mind that it’s a real share.
ENDGAME
If I were a naked shorter facing a potential MOASS, what would I do?
  1. CHAOS & INFIGHTING – I would make sure I have as much control over the group as I could. If a MOASS pops off then I want to get hodlers fighting and not listening to one another. Confusion! Panic! Sell! I need their shares! I need hodlers to sell!
If I’m a naked shorter then I don’t want people to stay calm. I don’t want them learning about the market or sharing what they’ve learned. I want confusion.
  1. FEAR OF CALLS – Yes, I am pro options, but no I’m not telling you to go buy options. Options are risky, but if you know what you’re doing they can be very beneficial. In this scenario, I’m a naked shorter facing down a MOASS and I want people to sell shares. I really don’t want hodlers buying LONG CALLS or LEAPS. These are call options shot way out into the future, they’re risky, but less risky then short term options. Now, if I’m a naked shorter why don’t I want hodlers buying LONG CALLS?
  2. I could hedge that position by buying shares – if I’m super naked I probably won’t though. But if someone else sells the call they might hedge by buying shares.
  3. I want shares! I NEED shares! If I start smashing that buy button and no one sells then the price goes up until someone does. If everyone is hodling their shares and the price is going up then CALL options are getting more expensive. That means if hodlers have shares and calls they can sell the calls for profits and not sell me (the naked shorter) a single one of their shares. They can keep hodling, and/or use call profits to buy more shares and/or buy calls.
The price rises. Hodlers sell their calls for profits instead of their shares. I can’t find shares. The price rises. Hopefully, you get the picture.
HOW WOULD A MOASS START IN THIS SCENARIO?
Alright, we don’t know why a MOASS would pop off. It would probably be expiration dates and/or too many DRSd shares. But we still actually do know why: naked shorting, not enough shares, buy button smashed, price goes boom!
If it’s built the way I explained here, then MOASS means the Market Maker went to the market to buy some shares and there weren’t enough shares. But they like REALLY NEED SHARES. The price rises.
If it gets to expiration of some of the retail naked shares and they haven’t been rolled then the position starts unraveling.
MM: No shares.
HF: Contract. Shares now!
MM: No! You!
HF: Fuck.
MM: Margin Call
HF: I’m dying.
Let’s say this is what happened last time. The Hedge Funds blew up, if it happened again, would it now be a Market Maker and a bigger Market Maker stuck in this death loop?
MM: I have assumed the position.

So, if the Market Maker absorbed the naked short side of the play and is now the one who will be margin called. Who absorbed the Market Maker’s side? The one holding the “No! You!” reverse uno card this time around? If the Market Maker can’t survive like the Hedge Fund? Can the new guy survive like the MM did last time?

I layout how ETFs are likely pulled apart and shuffled around to create naked shares or what I like to call a deadpool. Dead shares that shouldn’t even exist.
Then the deadpool is pulled from to send naked shares into the market.
Again, if you want to learn how I got here I have a long DD from a year ago in my history OR preferably go read Welborn’s work.
The way this is all done means because of the way the naked shares are sent to market there could be weird price movement around triple-witching dates. March/April, June/July, SeptembeOctober, DecembeJanuary. Triple-witching dates are March, June, September, December, but I push them out a month because Market Makers get a little extra leeway that us common folk don’t get. Again, in my old DD I talk about why they could potentially have an extra month tacked onto their expirations.
Then because of the way the shares are originally pulled out of ETFs there could be weird movement around common expirations for LEAPS. January and June.
January and June could be extra special times where a batch of naked shares are expiring in the hands of retail and need to finish being rolled. While, also having a batch of naked shares originally created for the deadpool that need to finish being rolled.
I know this is all confusing, but basically I believe the rules allow a loophole for naked shorting through ETFs. I believe the way those naked shares are created makes a deadpool parked with naked shorters. When they want to match a buy on the market (retail buys a share) they then pull a naked share out of the deadpool and send it to retail. Naked shares in the deadpool hangout for about three years at a time meaning they need to be closed or rolled within 3 years. Naked shares to retail would likely be done with a 1 year expiration since retail usually churns through shares fast. You’re able to create a naked share and sell it to retail and buy it back and sell it and buy it several times before the naked share needs to be renewed (rolled – a new naked share created and the old one finally closed).
Using ETFs could also explain weird movements in other stocks. If you’re already pulling a bunch of different stocks out of the ETF (not just GME) then you could use some of those naked shares to naked short other stocks as well. You’d be selling to retail at different times so the price may not move in tandem around the triple-witching dates, but they could move similarly around deadpool expiration dates. Remember, to close the naked shares from the deadpool you need to buy shares and create the ETFs. January 2021 could be a time where you need to buy a bunch of different stocks to close/roll some of the deadpool. June 2024 could also be a time where naked shorters might need to buy a bunch of different stocks in order to finally create some ETFs. You might see some unrelated stocks suddenly increasing in price at the same time.
In my opinion, if a stock is heavily naked shorted, then a MOASS would kick off for 1 of 2 reasons.
  1. All or enough of the Real Shares are DRSd, and the naked short position is revealed in the market.
  2. Converging expiration dates cause naked shorters to buy large amounts of stock at one time mixed with strong retail buying. I think this may have been what happened in January 2021 – it’s a common expiration date for the derivatives used to naked short and there was strong retail buying. It’s possible something similar is happening in June of 2024 – a common expiration date and would be 3 years from 2021 allowing for LEAPS to be bought on the wider market. And this time around, there’s also still strong buy pressure, hodling, and DRSing.
This summer could be exciting, but it’s not a MOASS guarantee. I think DRSing and hodling is the only true guarantee to uncover naked shorting.

What is HPV?
HPV is the name of a common virus. It infects the skin and any moist membrane (mucosa). This includes the:
Most people will get HPV at some point in their lives. They often won’t even know they have it — it usually goes away without causing any problems.

Who can get HPV?
If you have ever had any sexual contact, you may have HPV. It is passed on through skin-to-skin contact. For HPV that affects the genitals, this includes vaginal, anal and oral sex. You can also get HPV through touching in the genital area and sharing sex toys.

Are there different types of HPV?
Yes — there are over 200 types. Some can be called ‘low-risk’ or ‘high-risk’ HPV depending on whether they are linked to cancer.
Low-risk HPV may not cause any problems. They sometimes lead to warts on your hands, feet or genitals.
14 types of HPV are called ‘high-risk’. These are the ones linked to cancer. The high-risk types of HPV are 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66 and 68.
High-risk HPV types 16 and 18 cause over 7 in 10 of all cervical cancers. In most people, HPV goes away within 2 years without causing any problems.

Will I get cancer if I have HPV?
Although most cervical cancer is caused by high-risk HPV, having the virus does not mean you will get cell changes or cancer. About 9 in 10 people get rid of HPV within 2 years, without it causing any problems. This includes high-risk HPV types.
If you are eligible, cervical screening and the HPV vaccine can help reduce your risk of developing cell changes or cervical cancer.

Is it true that HPV can stay in my body for a long time without me knowing?
Yes. Usually, your immune system gets rid of HPV within 2 years. But in some cases, HPV may stay in your body for longer.
Sometimes HPV does not cause any harm and will not be picked up by a test. We call this ‘dormant’ or ‘clinically insignificant’ HPV.
Occasionally, dormant HPV can become active again and may start to cause cervical cell changes. HPV that has become active would be detected with a test.
We don’t know exactly why this happens yet, but it may be because of changes in your immune system over time. It is important to remember that cervical screening (previously called a ‘smear test’) can help find HPV and any cell changes early.

Is sexual contact the only way of getting HPV?
We are still learning a lot about HPV. Some evidence suggests it may also be passed on during childbirth. However, the risk of this is low. Studies show that when babies do get HPV, their bodies usually clear it within 2 years.
There are reports of some babies who have HPV in their throat getting something called ‘recurrent respiratory papillomatosis’ or ‘RRP’. This is where warts appear in their airways, and this may make breathing difficult.
RRP is rare and can be treated. It has become even more rare now that HPV vaccination is available.
We understand that the thought of passing on HPV in this way may be worrying. But it is important to know that evidence suggests it is unlikely. If you have concerns, it may help to talk them through with your GP or midwife.
Can I get the same type of HPV more than once?
It might be possible for this to happen. This is because different people can have different levels of natural immunity to HPV.
Natural immunity is where your immune system remembers a virus from when you had it naturally in the past. It means if you get that virus again, your body can destroy it quickly before it causes any problems.
Some of us have low natural immunity to HPV, so it might be possible for you to get the same HPV type more than once.
Cervical screening helps to find HPV early. The HPV vaccine protects against the HPV types that cause 7 in 10 cervical cancers. Immunity from the vaccine is stronger than natural immunity.

As I get older, will I be less able to get rid of HPV?
Studies show it may be harder to clear HPV as you get older. Scientists also think other things could affect how likely you are to get rid of HPV. It might be affected by your immune system — some people’s bodies find it easier to fight HPV than others. It could also depend on the HPV type you have and whether you smoke. Smoking is thought to make you less likely to clear an infection.
It is important to remember that cervical screening (previously called a ‘smear test’) will help find HPV and cell changes early.

Can HPV be treated?
There is no treatment for HPV itself. But there are treatments for conditions caused by HPV, including genital warts, cervical cell changes and cancer.

Is there a test for HPV?
There are certain HPV tests in the UK for women and people with a cervix. These are done as part of the NHS cervical screening programme.

Can I ask for an HPV test at any time?
HPV tests are only available free as part of the NHS cervical screening programme. Women and people with a cervix that are 25–64 years old are invited for cervical screening.
In England and Northern Ireland, you are invited for cervical screening every 3 or 5 years, depending on your age. In Scotland and Wales, you are invited every 5 years — it does not matter how old you are.

If I have HPV, can I ask for my partner to have a test too?
HPV tests are only available for free when invited as part of the NHS cervical screening programme. Women and people with a cervix that are 25–64 years old are invited for cervical screening. There is no HPV test for men or people without a cervix available on the NHS.

Can men have a test for HPV?
There is currently no HPV test for men or people without a cervix available on the NHS.

Sometimes when your body gets rid of a virus, it can remember it too. This means that if you get that virus again, your immune system can destroy it quickly before it causes any problems. When you are infected with a virus naturally and your body remembers it, this is called ‘natural immunity’.
Because we are all different, some people have lower natural immunity to HPV than others. We are also unsure how much natural immunity to one HPV type might protect you from another type. This means it may be possible for you to get the same HPV type again, or a type which you haven’t had before.

In the past, I had cervical cell changes that went away by themselves. Does this mean my immune system is now strong enough to fight HPV on its own?
It might be possible for you to get HPV again — it could be an HPV type your body has cleared before, or a new type.
Scientists think lots of things might affect how your body fights HPV. Some studies show it may be harder for you to get rid of HPV as you get older. Scientists also think it is affected by your natural immunity.
Natural immunity is where your body remembers a virus from when you had it naturally in the past. If you get that virus again, your immune system can destroy it quickly before it causes any problems.
Levels of natural immunity can be different from person to person — so natural immunity to HPV is low for some of us. This means you might be able to get an HPV type you’ve had before.
It is also unclear how much natural immunity to one type of HPV protects against other types. Evidence suggests that some types are harder than others for your body to get rid of.

If I have, or had, cervical cell changes, am I at risk of getting an HPV-related cancer?
There is a higher risk of developing an HPV-related cancer if you have cell changes in your cervix. This is also the case if you have had them in the past. The level of risk depends on how much the cells have, or had, changed compared to normal cells. This can be called the ‘grade’ of cell changes.
Low-grade changes rarely turn into cancer. Most cases clear up by themselves. High-grade changes are more likely to turn into cancer than low-grade changes.
It is important to remember that cell changes are not cancer. If you have them, or have had them before, it does not mean you will get cancer. It just means you are at more risk of getting cancer compared to someone who doesn’t have cell changes.

If I have, or had, cervical cancer, am I at risk of getting another HPV-related cancer?
If you have, or have had, cervical cancer, there is a higher risk of getting another cancer linked to high-risk HPV. There is not much evidence on how big this risk is.

My wife is headed to her college reunion. She looked up her first roommate from back then, and sure had become a senior executive (president) for a F20 company. While looking at her bio, two things stood out to me:
What might she have done to get onto a track towards senior management, and not get pegged as a Network engineer for the rest of her life?
And so many people become first level managers and stall there (or the next level, or director).
I just don't understand what a Network engineer could demonstrate that would make someone say "she's destined for the C suite, and we're going to make sure she gets there."
Any execs or retired execs able to explain how this works?
Edit: This answer isn't for me, I'm well past worrying about executive careers. But I would like to advise young people of the best way to keep their careers headed in the right direction, if that's what they want.

At some point, you've probably thought about the traditional idea of heaven as it is described in Christianity. The thought may have crossed your mind that it would get pretty boring at some point - and you'd be right. Sure. you can't suffer, and this would be nice at first, but you'd always be experiencing the same thing. Always some state of bliss, only positive vibes. Eventually, the positivity would lose all value and meaning, because there would be nothing to contrast it. Light cannot exist without the presence of darkness. This is why life has to contain a balance of both.
Whether they realize it or not, when new-age spiritual people describe their future vision of humanity as being perfectly peaceful, living in a high vibe reality where negativity and conflict cannot exist, they are describing this very same concept of heaven. They simply replace the angels and fluffy clouds with benevolent pleyadian aliens and crystalline cities.
It is a necessary stage in personal and collective development for people to acknowledge and accept their "lower" aspects, such as anything animalistic and primal within themselves, sexuality, physical desires, attachments, darker thoughts, and their sense of ego and individuality. These things are not in fact "lowly" at all, not to be ashamed of, and are just as much of an important part of life as "higher" aspects such as spirituality, awareness of the non-physical, empathy, oneness, and consideration of the collective. Being in full acceptance and expression of both your "higher" and "lower" parts is real balance.
In fact, the reason that physical life and incarnation exists at all is so that we can experience ego and duality. We are not here in physical bodies on the material plane as some kind of punishment, test, trap, or school. We are here because we WANT to be, for FUN. It really is that simple. On the "other side," we are actually non-dual, we are at peace, we are all one, and we are aware of everything, so there's nothing new to do there. So that is why we choose to forget that non-dual state for awhile and come here. To try to turn physical life into what the spirit realm is like would defeat the purpose of physical life.
Dismissing and ignoring your "dark side," acting as if you will permanently escape the "lower" as humanity "ascends," is a form of coping and denial that many people wholeheartedly believe is the ultimate goal of our species. People will continue trying to do this until they realize it is a dead end, it doesn't work. But, humans do actually have a real reason for feeling as if they should escape physicality or live in a perfectly peaceful world.
Humans are in a unique circumstance compared to other intelligent life in the universe.
Advanced aliens, those who have existed for millions of years longer than we have and have figured out how life is supposed to work, do not look, think or act like humans. Since accurate information on what aliens are like is not exactly widespread, we lack the perspective of what physical life is supposed to be like. So we assume that the only solution to our dilemmas is to transcend physicality or eliminate all conflict in the world. But physical matter and the presence of negativity was never the problem - the problem lies in humans being ill-equipped to properly contend with these things.
When you leave people to imagine and create whatever they want, you tend to end up with things such as Dungeons and Dragons, and video games where the hero goes on a quest to defeat someone or something. There are very few completely non-violent works of fiction in comparison. This is because people deeply desire that kind of adventure, and when they can't enact it in real life due to limitations of human society, they turn to fiction to express what they on some level know life is really supposed to be like.
Even though the creators don't consciously realize it, many of these works of fiction are full of channeled information about alien civilizations, and it is far more accurate than 95% of the channeling or theories you will find in spiritual or conspiracy communities and books.
If you were to go out right now and try to lead the kind of life you'd live in The Elder Scrolls, Divinity 2, Baldur's Gate 3, or Dungeons and Dragons, you'd soon be thrown in prison or a psych ward. This is because humans err on the side of safety, comfort, structure, and conformity. Some degree of these things are necessary to keep a civilization in working order, but humans have way too much of it, so we are heavily imbalanced. It is obvious that something is deeply wrong and unnatural with the way we live - mental illness is rampant, un-aliving rates are high, so many people feel hopeless and bleak about the state of the world. We feel stifled because of the excessive structure we impose on ourselves and our overabundance of artificial accommodations.
So why do humans have a tendency to become imbalanced in this way? The root cause is our biology. No, not physicality as a whole, specifically the human body. Before, I mentioned that other intelligent life in the universe does not look human, and there is a good reason for that. Before you all raise your torches and pitchforks, I want to say that the human body is not exactly "bad or "wrong," it's just incomplete. It is a work in progress. It's not meant to stay as it is forever.
You might wonder how a species can be "incomplete" when evolution is an on-going process with no end. The thing is - humans are unlikely to have evolved 100% naturally. There is a reason we still can't find the "missing link" between prehistoric hominids and more recent versions of humans.
Yes, we are a project species. Advanced non-humans visiting earth once decided that the native apes on earth hundreds of thousands of years ago were good candidates to hybridize with alien DNA, and we are a mid-level step in that process. We look like more "refined" versions of those apes, gaining the intelligence and upright-bipedal body structure from our alien DNA donors. But, that is where our physical similarities to them end, for now.
In the games I previously mentioned, you might notice that one of the things all of them have in common is the inclusion of animalistic people of some kind. Dragonborn, Aarakocra, Argonians, Khajiits, you get the idea. Of course they also have humans and human-like species such as elves, but this is only because these games were made by humans. In the actual worlds these games are based on, the animalistic people are the only ones.
In order to live in the kind of world depicted in this media - a world where you are free to choose an "alignment" of anything from lawful good to chaotic evil, a world that is wild and dangerous yet full of unrestricted possibility, a world truly balanced between dark and light - the only kind of world that actually works well for any living being - having this kind of animalistic body is not only preferable, but necessary. A human body is ill-equipped to live in a balanced way for several reasons.
For one, we lack many of the built in biological survival tools that these animalistic aliens have. We don't have fur or feathers to insulate from the cold, we don't have strong scales to protect from injury, we don't have claws for climbing and fighting or tails for jumping and balance, and our 5 senses are not particularly sharp. The retort people have to this is usually "But we don't need those things, because we are civilized and intelligent and can use tools and make clothes and keep ourselves safe in houses."
But if you look at what we're doing to our planet because we use an overabundance of artificial accommodations like these, then it comes into question whether we really don't need any of these animalistic traits. We create sprawling cities and suburbs, paving over miles and miles of land, building against wilderness instead of with it, all because we have thin skin that doesn't contend well against the elements. We pollute the environment and oceans with plastic packaging for our convenient processed foods all because it is hard for us to hunt and catch our own food.
It is also important to understand that a species' body has a massive impact on their psychology and thinking. A person can only run the "software" that their "hardware" allows for. I'll go into detail on the human face, because it's the part of the body that has the most effect on our psychology and social relations.
The human face looks neotenous, which means the retention of juvenile traits into adulthood. It is very soft and flat with a lot of rounded features and a small jaw relative to most animals. This actually makes us feel and act neotenous, whether we realize it or not. We are psychologically sensitive and fairly easy to traumatize. So we don't deal with disasters very well. Generally speaking, we are prone to being submissive and following anyone who appears authoritative, and as a result excessive social control and structure easily takes hold in our world.
The face of an alien, in contrast, has a more beastly and mature appearance and is never flat- the dragon-like reptilian for example possessing a snout, and the regal hawk-like avian having a beak. This predisposes them to more fearsome psychology and behavior. When faced with the threat of social control, they'd be far more willing to fight back. Their biology facilitates expression of will and defiance in a way ours does not. They would see a disaster as an opportunity to move onto new adventures and build something new, not something to remain upset over.
When these beings visited earth in a more public manner thousands of years ago, they inspired many of our legends and mythologies, and were thought to be gods and goddesses. Dragons, gryphons, minotaurs, nagas, the entire Ancient Egyptian pantheon - these were all inspired by alien visitation, not merely human imagination.
To paint a clearer picture -
Think of a 7-9 foot tall bipedal/upright reptilian being standing on spring-like, digit-grade legs with feet resembling that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, possessing a strong tail that makes them adept at balance and can be used in combat. They possess curved claws on their hands, and are clad in shining, armor-like scales that might be any color of the rainbow. They may or may not have wings. Their neck is fairly long and flexible, and their head looks like that of a regal dragon - long horns, spikes and frills, piercing eyes with slit pupils, along with a muzzle containing rows of razor sharp teeth.
The other alien species that live alongside these reptilians, often living on the same worlds - including bipedal gryphons, avians, snake people, minotaurs, canines, and felines, are similarly impressive.
Despite living in worlds that resemble medieval fantasy, these species do possess incredibly advanced technology, otherwise they would never have been able to visit earth. However, it does not dominate their daily lives like it does for us - they use technology for manufacturing, construction, space travel and genetic engineering rather than social media, television and video games.
They do not even feel the need for those things because their regular daily lives bring all of the excitement and adventure an open-world video game could offer, and more.
Seeing as this is the kind of form that works best for life, it goes to say that we will end up looking more like them at some point, out of necessity. Humanity's next step is not just spiritual transformation, but very much a physical transformation as well. This is what "Ascension" really means, this is what the "New Earth" entails. Since they had a hand in creating our species in the first place, it is very unlikely they would leave us in the dust at this point. They will finish their project.
However, there are likely some alien groups in support of having humans remain in human bodies, wanting to give us a chance in our current form. Other alien groups oppose this, and consider humanity a "project gone awry," acknowledging the dysfunction and suffering among us. A lot of you have probably come across the idea that the "reptilians" are "harvesting our negative energy," and this is actually true to some extent, but they do not use it as food (This would make no sense) instead what this really means is that some of them have a hand in perpetuating and accelerating conflict on the planet, but this is not to oppress us. It is only so humans become more aware of our weaknesses and limitations - the harder things get, the more apparent it becomes that we need to become something more.
This is a harsh method but with a noble goal in the end. It only speeds up the realization that humans can't stay human for good. It's still an inevitable part of our collective development, but it would take much longer otherwise, all of this dysfunction being stretched out for centuries longer. Think of it like ripping the band aid off quickly instead of drawing it out.
This has probably left you all with some questions, so I'll answer the ones I think I'm most likely to get:
Q: "But what about all of the experiences people have reported with aliens like pleyadians and greys?"
A: I believe these may exist in some form but aren't what people think they are. I don't think they are species from another star system. Their biology would cause them to run into the same problems as humans and they'd never reach the level of a space-faring civilization. They were created right here on earth primarily to be used as "stand ins" or cover-ups for the real aliens, as most people haven't been ready to know what real aliens look like. The same goes for any other "alien" you've ever heard about with a flat, human-like face. When it comes to past life memories and astral or dream encounters, note our minds have a tendency to "humanize" the memories of beings we encounter because we have a harder time relating to anything else. So for example if we actually saw a blue-feathered avian, we might just remember a human with blue skin.
Q: "So if we become more like these animalistic aliens, what exactly will that look like and how will it happen?"
A: At first it seems most realistic for us to be slowly influenced over time, gradually taking on more of these traits through genetic engineering (so it looks like natural evolution.) But the problem is, there is not enough time for this. We are at a tipping point where we will exponentially destroy more of ourselves and our planet if something doesn't happen soon. If we are left to our own devices, calamities caused by climate change will likely leave us unable to survive so we simply incarnate into another species. If ETs take a more "hands on" approach, it'll probably look like transferring the consciousness of humans (only those who agree to do so) to new bodies grown in tanks (Think kind of like Avatar.) As for what we'll look like, some kind of bipedal reptilian is most likely, but a bit smaller and more "earthy" than the ones I described before. Possessing advanced tech, but also having a wild and tribal culture and lifestyle, emphasizing connection with earth. Any animalistic form could technically work, but this is what I consider most likely considering the planet's history of being dominated by reptilian life - this is something some alien groups hold dear, and they want to bring this back in some form.
Many humans will of course stay as they are because nobody can be forced into this, even if they tried that approach would backfire. The remaining humans will live alongside the nonhuman beings on the planet, benefitting from the strengths and attributes they bring to help balance us out.
Q: "But my favorite channelers and books say we have to transcend all conflict and that this is what "highly evolved beings" are like, were they all wrong?"
A: I think all of these channelers and works - ones I've read that come to mind are Law of One, Daniel Scranton, and Conversations with God - contain bits of truth, but the "love and light" and non-duality narrative is perpetuated by the beings that are channeled in order to placate people and calm them down so they become more open and accepting towards alien contact and involvement with earth. This narrative is a lot simpler and easier to accept than the full truth. Many of these works talk extensively about extraterrestrial life, and out of necessity it is not entirely accurate, because the goal of this content is to simply open us up to the idea of aliens - and they must do so in a way more palatable to us.
So, to summarize -
Please note that when I advocate for duality, I don't advocate for the form of duality currently found on earth, I think we are all in agreement that the current state of affairs is not a good thing. I advocate for a form of duality where people are free to explore both dark and light, but are properly equipped and empowered to do so.
I only hope for more people to think outside of the box and challenge the dominant narrative in spiritual/conspiracy communities. The world is going in the direction of improvement, and I support that just as much as any of you do, it is just that it may mean something different from what you think it means.

3 months ago, my boyfriend, we'll call him Cameron is in the army. When he was at drill I wanted to look for photos of us on his Ipad that I hadn't seen before. We're open and both ok with each other looking at our devices it isn't something we have to ask permission for. When I was on his Ipad, however, I found over 80 deleted photos of girls on OF. The same 3 girls (which to me is cheating if it's OF bc it's specific people. He is aware of this.) I also found naked photos and videos of he and his ex doing things. (They broke up about a year and a half ago we've been dating for 7 months and have lived together for 4 months.) I knew about his ex as we were best friends before dating and l've been in his friend group for a long time before we realized we liked each other. But seeing those things ripped me to shreds. I didn't watch the videos, but it was very obvious they were there. I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat. I called him endlessly until he picked up the next morning (i started calling at 10pm, he picked up at 5am). Yes I know it's crazy, but I needed him to tell me it was a mistake and he didn't realize they were there. After all it was on his Ipad, not his phone, right? Granted I've never looked on his phone for now I'm too scared.
Anyways he cleared the air and talked me down. He didn't seem like he was caught in a trap and he told me he didn't realize they were still there and he didn't use that app often (It wasn't the regular photos app it was one you have to download) and I believe him. I truly believe him. So the fight ended, but my confidence is no longer present and I have a bunch of new found insecurities thanks to this mistake he's made.
Fast forward to last weekend. I told him I was going to look on his Ipad again while he was at drill. Because he never explicitly showed me he deleted the stuff. And frankly my insecurities are getting the best of me and it is a wedge in our relationship and l've been hating myself. Yet he is great. Always says the right things, is always calm and level headed and lets me be angry at him if I feel the need to be. We always communicate instead of making any rash decisions. But he told me it was ok to go through his Ipad again. The reason I hadn't earlier is because of fear I'm going to accidentally find something again I don't want to find. Please let me be wrong.
This time, however, I was on a mission. I needed to search everywhere to be sure he wasn't hiding things to hurt me. I didn't talk to him about doing this until literally 5 minutes before I did so he couldn't have gone and swept the Ipad clean, he was 3 hours away from me in another state. Everything was looking good. I could feel myself coming back, but then, I went onto the notes app. It was right before I was going to turn off the Ipad I remembered that the notes app exists. Everything was looking good, until there was a note full of usernames that was made/edited in February, right after our last fight. So I looked them up on instagram first, 2 came up. One looked like she was realllly searching for attention in hot photos and wearing little to nothing. Ok that stung a bit. The other was nothing major he and a bunch of his friends followed the account, looked like someone he went to school with. Then I searched on google. They were all Only Fans usernames. I broke down. The girl who looked like she was a friend from school, we'll call her Alyssa was on there. She has liked photos of he and I together on instagram.
I confronted him again. He told me he didn't even know the notes page existed. It must have been from before we were dating when he was "desperate" and did go on only fans often. I asked about Alyssa. He said they were friends and he's known her for a super long time. That made it even worse. He thought he was making it better, but it just killed me. Someone he knows in person and still claims to be friends with, he's seen her body and WANTS to see her body. I don't know if I believe him this time. Until a week ago, I didn’t think I would get the platinum. I started playing Returnal in May 2021, less than a month after its release. I looked back at my trophies, and it took me 2 months from my first death until I beat Phrike. Then, after getting to Biome 3, I didn’t think I could beat Nemesis. I put the game down for a year and picked it up when I couldn’t stop thinking about it and the world and story. My second run in 2022 got me through Act 3 to finish the game just a month after I picked it back up. Then, the tower was announced, and I was back in for my third run in 2023. The feedback/gameplay loop was addicting and started up a new obsession again. All the other trophies started dropping quickly with the tower, and suddenly, I was down to just the surveys of each biome that I was already mostly done with from just my need to clear rooms completely.
I spent a good chunk of 2023 hunting things down between playing other games and was down to just Biome 2 ciphers. After nearly 20 hours in just Biome 2, I realized I had a bugged save file. If any of you have used VideogamersEU’s guides for Cipher hunting, you may know the one I’m talking about. It’s the 1/25 spawn room with the cipher on the lower pillar. Playing casually back in 2021 on the 1.0 patch, I didn’t know this was a rare or a save-breaking room. Picking up that cipher before it was patched just never counted in my databank, and I hadn’t realized it. But now, after hunting for hours and checking off lists of everything in this game, I was up to 19/20 ciphers in Biome 2. And after running each room and checking off the ciphers I already had (looking at you swirling sand hand room that I saw dozens of times), I finally got that ultra-rare pillar room to spawn again. It was the last one I had to check off and the rarest room in Biome 2, and after getting it to spawn, it was…empty. That was it. No more rooms. No more ciphers. It was bugged. I was 1 trophy from platinum, and at the time, the thought of starting a new save file when I had maxed out traits on most weapons, every artifact, every cipher, and scout log broke me. I uninstalled the game immediately, determined to leave it as one of those “what ifs” or “maybes” in my library.
But much like the White Shadow, something kept following me around. A gnawing feeling. Resentment, regret, anger. A range of emotions. And this subreddit started cropping up more on my reddit feed. I’ve participated in a few threads here and there. I’ve consumed videos on the story, reviews, and people praising the game. Another person got their Plat. Someone needing help getting theirs. And then the announcement from Housemarque. While I know we all hoped for a sequel of sorts, an art book and collaboration with Dark Horse is amazing. I pre-ordered the art book, and the itch started again. “How long could it really take?” I thought. “I’d have to beat Act 2 to get the Biome 6 tool…. But really… how long could it take? After over a year away from the game and playing nothing like it, I’d have to get back in the groove and relearn mechanics and unlock guns and good perks…. But how long could it take?”
8 hours. After nearly 16 months away, I breezed through the game. My very first run took me to Phase 3 of Nemesis, and my biggest obstacle was the miniboss in Biome 6, which took me 4 tries since I was still on level 1 perks for every gun and only had 6 guns unlocked in the first place. I cleared Act 2 in just 6.5 hours and started my hunt, needing just 6 ciphers after pickups during my initial runs. 14/20 turned to 18/20 just 2 runs after going back post-biome 6 and Act 2. I knew which rooms, too. Yesterday morning, my wife came down to see me playing the game again, and I explained why I picked it back up. I explained my need to get the last achievement here and that I was down to one room. Swirling sand hand room. And my first run with her sitting next to me where I said, “Just let me do one before I hop off,” in the last room before the shop was swirling hand sand room and that glowing red cipher. I picked it up, watched the Ascending the Mountain trophy click through, and then that sound of the Helios Platinum trophy played as it collected. 20/20 ciphers. 38/38 trophies. I had finished this game after 3 years and 4 days.
This is my thank you to this community. Seeing everyone still chasing new highs in this game, new people picking it up after it went on PS+ and PC, and those clearing a backlog. Every question and search for answers has inspired me to keep going and to engage with the community in a way that few games have made me do in the past. You all gave me the push I needed to finally finish this game completely.

I wrote this post in Spanish and let Google Translate transform it into this version, then I made minor edits. If you prefer, you can read it in Spanish here.
Lately, there are a lot of new members in the level 7 club. I'm happy to add my update post as well.
My journey here. (You can skip this part unless you want to get some perspective on what 1,500 hours is.)
I started my journey with Dreaming Spanish on May 31, 2023. I gave myself 150 credit hours and looking back, it was the right decision. I watched all the Beginner level videos in order of time. Therefore, I was very close to level 4 before watching Intermediate level videos which, too, was a good decision. My transition to Intermediate videos was pretty easy.
Then, like the Beginner videos, I also watched all the Intermediate videos in date order. It was a strange experience. It was like going back in time where I knew Pablo's future as it unfolded. Somewhere along this stretch, the improved difficulty system came out. So when I started with the Advanced videos, I watched them in order from easy to difficult. Nowadays, I would recommend everyone to watch all videos like this.
I reached 1,500 hours on May 20 of this year. Since October 1st, I have watched 5 hours each day. According to Dreaming Spanish and my notes there, these hours include, among others:

How do I align with the roadmap?
I'm pretty comfortable with videos, books, and articles but, to be honest, I haven't tried many non-dubbed movies or series. I am going to live in Spain starting in July, so my goal has been to be able to carry out all daily tasks without problems. Now I feel ready to move, and I think I'll improve fluency very quickly once I'm there. I wanted to have a B2 level before moving, and I think I have it, although I didn't take any exams. In less than a year I want to pass a C1 level exam.
After more than 160 hours of classes with a teacher, I feel very comfortable speaking, even expressing complex ideas. But I make a lot of mistakes. I'm curious to see how it goes in Spain outside of the classroom. I also think I have to improve pronunciation and prosody. I will try to find a speaking teacher who teaches in-person classes.
Thoughts and advice
For me, I learn more, with much less effort and without getting bored or distracted if I am honestly interested in the video: the topic and the presenter. It's a lesson I wish I had learned earlier. I watched all the Beginner and Intermediate level videos, and I'm glad I did. But I had a hard time watching some of the Advanced level videos that I had no interest in. I finally filtered out two guides who, to me, are boring. The difference in my days was drastic, they were much better.
I still watch all the new videos every day, even the Superbeginner ones. And I continue to learn from them. Pablo's advice to watch videos that appear too easy is really good.
I studied grammar from the beginning because I like to study rules and logic. Therefore, I have few problems with conjugation and such. However, I think I think too much when I'm speaking and I think this makes my fluency worse. I hope it improves when I'm in more dynamic situations. If I learn another language (maybe Brazilian Portuguese), I will try to be a purist with comprehensible input.

2024.05.28 21:09 Theeaglestrikes I’m a 999 operator, and people claim to keep seeing a disturbing contortionist who died in 2022.

Details such as names, dates, and locations have been altered to protect myself and the people of my town, but the story is true.
Everybody in my area knows about Kit Jenson, the Crazed Contortionist. A moniker he posthumously earnt after butchering his wife and taking his own life. The deranged man was a performer. An artist, he would have said. Jenson frequently put on a mesmerising contortionist display at the old theatre in Greentree. A show that was loved, though he was an oddball.
Still, in spite of what folk call him, he did not slaughter Mandy Jenson in a performative way. There was no display of gratuitous grandeur. The two bodies were not packed into some poky space, like a pair of contorted sardines. He beheaded his wife and threw himself from a sixth-floor balcony.
They both died on Tuesday 10th May, 2022. I know that because I’ve researched it extensively. Read and re-read articles until my eyes throb. Just to ensure that I’ve not entirely lost my marbles. There's no denying it. They’ve been gone for two years.
That’s why I don’t understand the calls I received on Friday 24th May, 2024. Calls that all stemmed from a town I shall call Greentree.
~Call 1 – 12:40pm~
Operator: 999. Police. What is the nature of your emergency?
Caller: Hello. I, erm… I should’ve called earlier, but I just didn’t get it. And now something’s happened. Something awful. Erm, my… My name’s Ian Poole. I work at the care home off Broad Street. Know the one?
Operator: Yes, I do. What’s happened, Ian?
Caller: Well, a few of the folk in the east wing have been acting bizarrely all day. There was an incident, and… Well, they’re starting to frighten me. Frighten all of us.
Operator: I see. What was the incident, Ian? Why did you call the emergency services?
Caller: One of the residents seriously injured someone. It was Mr Harrison, one of our oldest residents. He… Oh, God. He broke Mrs Renley’s legs. I don’t… I don’t…
Operator: Okay. Breathe for me, Ian. It’s going to be okay. I’ll dispatch officers, but I have to ask whether Mr Harrison has pre-existing mental health problems?
Caller: Well, of course he does. You understand the nature of this place, right? It’s a home for dementia patients. Not a retirement village.
Operator: I understand that, Ian. Do you understand why I asked the question? When it comes to crimes committed by dementia sufferers, such incidents rarely result in court action. The patient has no knowledge of what they’re doing.
Caller: Yes, I know. Shit, I’m not trying to throw Mr Harrison in prison. I’m trying to protect everybody. He’s… We sedated him, but now Mrs Renley’s not herself either. I know what you’re thinking. Obviously, she’s not herself, given her injured legs. But it’s the opposite of what you’d expect. She… She should be in pain, but she’s not. She’s just not herself. And this madness is like a disease. It’s spreading throughout the wing. I don’t want to stay in here. None of us want to stay in here.
Operator: Okay. I’ve dispatched some officers, and the ambulance service has been notified. But tell me what happened, Ian. I’m not getting the full picture.
Caller: I know. It’s hard to say what happened though. I saw it, and I still don’t understand. It was a frightening morning. I’m the manager here, but I didn’t arrive until ten. And my co-worker, Susan, was flustered. She’d been crying because Mr Harrison called her a rude name. Well, what’s new there? That’s what I thought, but I didn’t say it out loud, of course. Anyway, Susan said that Mr Harrison was behaving even more strangely than usual. To give you some context, he… He often speaks in broken sentences, he’s practically immobile, and he doesn’t recognise his loved ones. That’s the level of his deterioration. But today, he’s been lucid. Very lucid. He even got up and strolled around. I’ve not seen him walk more than two steps in months.
Operator: Right. How did this lead to an altercation with Mrs…?
Caller: … Renley. Right. Well, she was complaining about Mr Harrison’s incessant chattering. Not a new complaint, mind you. See, he’s always chattering, but it’s usually jumbled nonsense. That’s what I’m trying to explain to you. Today, he’s been speaking in complete sentences, and he’s been saying horrible things. Things that make my skin crawl. I don’t know why. It was nothing particularly threatening, but I feel… He feels dangerous. Well, clearly he’s dangerous.
Operator: What exactly happened between Mr Harrison and Mrs Renley? How did the assault occur?
Caller: Lenny said that Mr Harrison had been ranting for a while. He even wrote down some of the things Mr Harrison was saying, before things became volatile. ‘I am endless.’ That’s one of the things he’s written. What else? Erm… ‘I will endlessly be the greatest artist there has even been. The true one. The stage never dies. I must persist.’
Operator: Right. Mr Harrison said a lot, didn’t he? I hope you don’t take offence, Ian, but none of those sentences sound particularly lucid to me. It sounds exactly like the jumbled rant of a dementia sufferer. Words that mean nothing at all.
Caller: No. I work here every day. Trust me. That wasn’t normal. Look, I get what you’re saying. And you’re right, in a sense. People say and do the strangest things in this place. Things that’ll break your heart or set your hairs on end. But residents often regress to the people they once were, and none of those words match the man that Mr Harrison used to be. He wasn’t a poet or a performer. He didn’t speak eloquently or care for the arts. Back when he used to speak clearly, he didn’t speak like that.
Operator: Ian.
Caller: Fine. I understand. You might be right. After all, we thought the same. I would’ve dismissed it. So would’ve Susan. In fact, we did dismiss it. She dried her eyes, pulled up her bootstraps, and came to the canteen with me. We heard some commotion, and that was when it happened.
Operator: The assault?
Caller: Yeah. Mrs Renley said something Mr Harrison didn’t like. ‘It wasn’t a good show’. According to Lenny, at one point, the man had been doing yoga. Susan and I found that hard to believe, as he’d hardly moved for months. Anyway, Lenny was already heading over to Mr Harrison when Susan and I entered the room, as things were becoming a little too heated.
Operator: What was Mr Harrison saying?
Caller: He called Mrs Renley an ‘uncultured swine without the intellect to digest true art’. Now, this is what I mean. I know you don’t know Mr Harrison, but he was a typical bloke. A man of few words. Even when he could talk in full sentences, a year or so ago, he did not speak like that. He hasn’t been himself today. Almost as if somebody else were… Never mind.
Operator: Right. Okay. What about the assault, Ian?
Caller: Oh. Sorry. I’m just… I’m trying to avoid talking about that. Look, I’ve already said what happened. He broke her legs.
Operator: Yes, but I need to know more than that. That’s a very serious assault. Did Mr Harrison use a weapon? You said your co-worker, Lenny, was in the room. Then you and Susan were in the room. Three members of staff. One perpetrator. A man who you told me was mostly immobile. ‘Practically’ immobile, you said. So, why didn’t any of you manage to stop him?
Caller: Our residents have no access to dangerous things. Don’t try to turn this into an investigation of Greentree Nursing Home. We operate things properly here.
Operator: I’m not accusing you of anything, Ian. I’m trying to understand how on Earth this happened. So, if he had no weapon, how did Mr Harrison break Mrs Renley’s legs?
Caller: I… I don’t… I don’t want to say. When are the responders getting here?
Operator: In a few minutes. And you don’t have to talk to me, but at some point, you’ll have to answer detailed questions about the incident. You have a duty of care to those residents, and given that such a serious assault occurred whilst three members of staff were present–
Caller: – He used his bare fucking hands. Okay? He… Mr Harrison snapped Mrs Renley like a fucking twig. One leg after the other. Snapped each limb upwards, far past breaking point. I'm looking at her right now. The bones are protruding. There’s blood everywhere. Our trained nurse applied tourniquets and bandaged the wounds, so she says that should’ve stopped the blood loss. Mrs Renley should be okay until the responders arrive. Physically, anyway. I thought about asking for an ambulance when I rang 999, but… Look, we wanted the police. We’re scared. We thought we… Oh, I don’t know anymore.
Operator: Don’t worry about that, Ian. I’ve dispatched an ambulance as well. What have you done with Mr Harrison? Does he pose a threat to any residents or members of staff?
Caller: No. We were scared of him at first. Don’t worry. He’s… He’s fine. No threat to any of us. We gave him some Lorazepam to calm him down a little. He’s in his room, and a member of staff is watching him. We’re scared of Mrs Renley now. She’s started sounding like him. Talking about performing on stage. And some of the others have started saying odd things. But Mrs Renley scares me the most. She told me that she ‘could bend her legs a little farther, if I’d just give her a stage’. I don’t… I don’t understand any of this.
Operator: Right… I… Thank you, Ian. Do you want to stay on the phone until the responders arrive? The paramedics should be there before the police. Any second now, in fact.
Caller: Yes, I hear the sirens outside, but I think I should hang up. I don’t want to talk about it anymore. I want to go to sleep.
Operator: Okay, Ian. The paramedics will help. I promise.
Call ended at 12:18pm.
Responders arrived to find that five of the residents in the east wing had passed from heart attacks, including Mr Harrison and Mrs Renley. Several others are still in hospital.
When I received this call at the beginning of my shift, it horrified me. I was struggling to come to terms with the thought of such a vicious assault, though I’d heard of worse things. Once, a killer confessed his crime to me. Yet, somehow, this frightened me more than any other call. Something about the dread in the voice of Ian Poole. It was contagious. A disease, like he said.
And it was only the first crumb of Friday’s awful events. Events which took place on a date that carried no significance, though I’ve spent days searching for answers. Searching for whatever ties everything together. I’ve found only one horrible link.

Caller: I don’t know. I’m walking, like you said. I don’t want to stop. I’m just moving. He’s so fast though. He’s on his [inaudible]. I don’t know. What is he doing? He doesn’t look real. He looks… His spine is bent. His arms. I’m losing my fucking [inaudible]. I don’t know [inaudible]. Shit.
Operator: Just a few minutes, Cora. You should hear the sirens in the distance. Do you hear them? They’re close.
Caller: I see someone. I see someone in the playground. Should I go to them?
Operator: As long as you stay nearby, Cora. The responders need to be able to easily find you. Who have you seen in the playground? It’ll help to make you identifiable when the responders arrive. A girl in a Greentree uniform, and…?
Caller: It’s a woman. Hey. Help. Help me. A man’s following me. He’s… Oh, God. No, no, no, no, no, no. What’s wrong with you? What’s wrong with you?
Call ended at 3:27pm.
When responders arrived at 3:29pm, they did not find Cora Ashburn. Four days later, she is still missing.
After sweeping the playground beside Crescent Drive, officers found a threadbare cardigan knotted onto two interlinking bars of a jungle gym. Something that only warranted attention because its remaining strands had mostly unravelled from a gaping hole in the centre. Worst of all, upon closer inspection, it appeared to be blood-stained.
After the evidence was brought into the station, an investigating officer recognised the item of clothing from an old case. It was the cardigan found on the corpse of Mandy Jenson. A cardigan that was discarded once the case had swiftly, and decisively, been closed. Two years earlier.
~Call 3 – 6:16pm~
Operator: Police. What is the nature of your emergency?
Caller: He’s, erm… He’s got… Oh, he’s wrong, man. He’s all [inaudible] wrong. Like, [inaudible] head’s gone. Head’s coming off, mate. Know what I mean? Y’know?
Operator: Sorry, I didn’t understand any of that. You’re slurring. What’s the emergency?
Caller: Hey, love. Are you okay? Is that [inaudible]? Why are you crying, love? Oh, shit. Did he do that to you? Did he [inaudible]? Fuck me. Fuck.
Operator: Are you okay? Who else is with you? Please tell me what’s happening.
Caller: Don’t… Don’t [inaudible] hang up. I have an emergency. I do. This lass has been… She’s having a rough night, mate. She’s having a… Shit. Fuck.
Operator: Take a deep breath. Just tell me what’s happening. Slowly. Calmly.
Caller: I’ve had a bit to drink.
Operator: I can tell.
Caller: Sorry, I just [inaudible].
Operator: I really need you to speak clearly. What has happened to the woman you mentioned?
Caller: It’s this guy. He was hassling [inaudible]. He was, like, off. Just fucking off. Didn’t really see him. I felt it though. This tall fella. Weird [inaudible] figure. Some creep who vanished when a bunch of us came out of the [inaudible]. Don’t know where he went, but she’s just… She’s [inaudible] rough. He hurt her. There’s so much fucking blood.
Operator: Right. Okay. A man hurt a woman. Where are you?
Caller: In the centre of [inaudible]. Near The Old Arms. In the [inaudible]. The, erm… Where the cars park. The… The car park. Around the back of the pub, y’know?
Operator: I know the pub. Okay. I’ll be sending emergency responders to your location. Stay on the phone, and please do not leave the woman on her own. Are any other people there?
Caller: The others went home. I told the landlord, but he’s gone. Don’t know [inaudible]. Don’t want to leave her. Y’know? There was another woman, but [inaudible] left.
Operator: Do you think I’d be able to talk to the injured woman? Or would you be able to talk to her, at least? Just until the paramedics arrive. Is she breathing? You’ve not described her injuries.
Caller: I, er, [inaudible]. She’s twitching, but she isn’t, like, gonna… She isn’t gonna talk, mate. Her mouth’s all… The man broke her jaw, and she’s just… Do you hear [inaudible]?
Operator: I hear another voice. Is that her?
Caller: Yeah, she’s… I tried to talk to her, but she didn’t [inaudible] words. She just… Oh, shit. Oh, shit, shit, [inaudible]. Where does the [inaudible]? Fucking [inaudible].
Operator: Hello? Are you okay? What’s happening? I’ve dispatched some officers. They’re already in the town centre. Only a couple of minutes away from the pub. Please stay on the phone. Tell me what’s happening.
No intelligible words.
Call ended at 6:25pm
For the remainder of the call, though I tried to communicate with the man, I heard only muffled noises. Crunching and what almost sounded like howls of agony, though the connection was garbled. I pretended that the sounds were perfectly explainable, but that didn’t ease the knot in my gut. I knew something was dreadfully wrong.
Responders arrived at 6:25pm, finding the phone of Robert Anderson outside The Old Arms. And Officer Jeffrey Ross claimed that he had seen something in the alley beside the establishment. The body of a man being ‘misshapen’ by a figure in the darkness. Misshapen. That was the word he used repeatedly.
Officer Isabelle Donaldson didn’t see what her partner alleged to have seen. It was ‘there one moment and gone the next’, in Officer Ross’ words. And he called the alleged figure at the end of the alley ‘recognisable’. Ross told investigators that the perpetrator’s ‘costume’ reminded him of the one Kit Jenson used to wear for his performances at Greentree Theatre.
~Call 4 – 9:19pm~
Operator: Police. What’s your emergency?
Caller: Oh. I needed an ambulance.
Operator: Okay. Well, I –
Caller: – Shush. I need a little bit of quiet, please.
Operator: What is the nature of your–
Caller: – I said ‘shush’.
Operator: I’m afraid I won’t shush. This is an emergency line. Would you like me to patch you through to the ambulance services?
Caller: Maybe I do need the police.
Operator: Okay. What’s happened? What’s happening?
Caller: No, forget it. Forget it. I spoke out of line. It’s… Oh, hello, Kit.
Operator: Is somebody else there? What’s the nature of your emergency?
Caller: I said I was sorry. I said I was sorry. I said I was sorry. I said I was sorry.
Operator: Are you okay? Please tell what’s happening. I want to help. Are you not able to talk right now? Is that the problem?
Caller: You’re right, Kit. I didn’t understand your art. Oh, I just didn’t understand, but I do now. I’m sorry I didn’t applaud. Yes. No, of course. The town deserves it. Every last one of us. You’re right. You’re right. You’re right. You’re–
Operator: – Miss, who is in the room with you? Would you be able to give me some sign that you’re in danger? A code word, perhaps? How about ‘house’?
Caller: I’m not ignoring you, sir. I was just talking to him. You will be able to help me. I need somebody to come and find me, so the place doesn’t smell afterwards, you see. It would be a shame for the smell to tarnish the place. Like it did when she…
Operator: Are you having thoughts? What is your state of mind right now? If you give me your location, I –
Caller: – Round Mills. Apartment 201. Yes, I know, Mandy. I know. But he makes such a beautiful point. You see, if I try and fail, I will finally appreciate his art. That’s all he wants. Just a little appreciation. It’s the only way, Mandy. The only way.
Splintering sounds were audible.
Operator: Miss? Miss? What’s happening? I’ve dispatched an ambulance and a couple of officers to your location. If you tell me what’s happened to you, I might be able to help. It’ll certainly help the paramedics.
More splintering sounds were followed by a distant scream.
Caller: Oh. Yes. Yes, you were right, Kit. I got it all wrong. My legs don’t bend that way. Not like yours. My arms. No, I’m not like you, Kit. Not the Incredible Kit. Not the… Oh? Yes, I suppose I should try that too. Yes. I’ll try bending my neck. If I just –
One final splinter sounded.
Call ended at 9:27pm.
Quiet followed the woman’s unfinished sentence. Not silence.
I heard the sound of applause. The slight patter of a person’s slow, measured claps, muffled by the bad reception of the call. And sobbing. Two terrible noises that immediately ceased when the front door of the apartment burst open.
Responders found nobody in the apartment but Rachel Jenson, the sister of Mandy Jenson. Rachel was mangled in a way that made one paramedic vomit, and I’ve been told no more than that. I only learnt of the aftermath, detailed in this post, through a friend of mine who works at Greentree Police Station.
I keep thinking about the scream that I heard. One that, I am certain, did not come from Rachel Jenson. She sounded joyous. Her voice became increasingly unhinged as she brutally contorted her body into sickening configurations.
Thinking about it, I do remember Kit’s final show being quite lacklustre. A performance that took place shortly before his death. I didn’t attend, but I heard from other Greentree residents that he fumbled the finish. Kit attempted to escape from a box in a contorted position, but he failed. His wife had to assist him. There was no applause. Only concerned murmuring from the crowd.
People had speculated for years that something wasn’t quite right with the man, and that’s why I keep thinking about what Rachel said. What Ian said. What all of the callers said. Stories of adoration. Appreciation. Rejection. Anger.
Things make a little more sense, when viewed from the right angle. These stories serve as interlinking pieces of a puzzle, forming the picture of a man who might’ve wanted to punish those who did not applaud his disappointing performance. A disgruntled artist’s revenge against the town that dismissed him. A wife who dismissed him.
In truth, Kit Jenson was simply a sick man. People had heard the whispers about his abusive tendencies for years. All it taken was one bad day to push him over the edge. So, such a man would surely want to hurt all those who did not appreciate him. Not only Mandy.
However, even if that were the case, it wouldn’t explain the entirety of that dreadful day of calls. Kit Jenson died two years ago.

Anong Company ako magwowork? ALWAYS, ALWAYS ACCOUNTING / AUDIT FIRM. Why? Una, Sila lang yung nakakaintindi sa current na capabilities mo, which is 0 aside sa natutunan mo sa Undergrad at review and pangalawa, this where you can get the most experience and network compared sa ibang company/industry. With 0 experience, you will always have to compromise yung salary mo but compensate it by extracting as much experience, resources and benefits sa kanila. Pero lagi tandaan VERY LONG HOURS!
Pag magprivate ka, malilimit ka sa Industry , processes nila and yung biggest wall na tintawag na Corporate ladder, mag meron pa tao dun sa step na yun , di mabibigay sayo yun. Do you want that sa first two years mo? hindi diba!
BIG 4 or Not? If you want experience,kahit ano tbh! That's why nung pumili ako ng first acctg firm , out of 10 application ko pinili ko yung pinaka malaki yung offer which was around +6k vs dun sa BIG4 and I can see na growing yung management, diba kasi bat sila mag oofer ng higher if di nila need it urgently.
ANONG DEPARTMENT? Accounting and Tax Services , no argument. If youre just starting and you want to get the most , ito yung department na puntahan mo. Ano to, parang Audit department on steroids kasi monthly deadline mo. Why? Because of the scope, matuto ka sa following,

  2. Tax Preparation and Filing (Business and Income Tax)
  3. Payroll
  4. Financial Statement Preparation (Minsan import ka din ng Audit team pag kulang sila, sikat ka lagi nun kasi ikaw lang marunong mag gawa ng ITR)
  5. Reporting
  6. BIR Audits assistance
  7. Customer Service atbp
Then if you had enough move ka na sa ibang department, you can find your niche din dito. Mabilis din turnover dito kasi eventually after two - three years max ka na sa knowledge, recurring nalang, so you want growth na. Mabilis Turnover = PROMOTION!
So how to get Promoted? Obviously, TIME! Be patient! Pero syempre di lang yun yun, tandaan mo may kasabayan ka. So 2 kalaban mo, yung kasing level mo and yung senior mo (ok na to kasi diba mag reresign sya). To defeat them, you have to be always better than them, remember di na knowledge ang weapon mo dito pati skills. So if you cant beat them sa knowledge beat them sa Skills by Doing No. 1 and No. 2, kahit it means taking more responsibilities. Kasi anyway, gusto mo din naman ng experience. Kalaban ginamit ko na word ha pero make sure ethical ka padin, wag kang g*g*
Last,
Ulitin ko lang, Always Analyze your position! Kasi baka nasa lose-win or lose-lose ka na position. So make sure na you ask these questions first.
  1. If maging better ako sa 2 kalaban ko? Malaki ba chance na ma promote ako? - Minsan hindi kasi politics, di pa nag reresign next sayo or walang growth yung firm (biggest factor), so if No, exit and find a better firm or company.
  2. If ma-promote ako, will I learn new things? - Most likely answer dito is yes, and thats the management skills. So if tingin mo if ma promote ka pero youre stuck with the same tasks then reconsider your position.
  3. Ano ang value ko? May experience and skills ka na diba, so i quantify mo na yan, put a $ sign na to it. If tingin mo lower compared sa worth mo, start a conversation about it, always highlight kung ano yung napoprovide mo na value and kung ano mawawala sa kanila if you dont get your desired compensation. Never settle for less pero never over value ha. bad yun.
  4. Mate na ba ako? Admit defeat, wag magpadala sa pride. If youre only way out is to quit and find greener pasture go for it para di ka resentful.
I read an article na lower na yung accounting workforce sa US and AU for the next 10 years, thats an opportunity for you too. Build your network so you can get good referrals. They pay more compared to PH Firms / Companies lalo na if direct contract/employment.

Kurt Angle's TNT Championship Open Challenge
[Kurt Angle decides that to celebrate his Title win, he will be giving one unlucky soul a chance to be battered, broken, and rendered unable to keep competing. Whoever accepts this challenge is in store for a career ending slaughter, where Doc Samson will force them to retire.
Kurt waits in intense arrogance before a series of tranquil chords hit in quick succession, a sinister appetizer for what's to come, the words KATSUYORI SHIBATA fill the screen, and The Wrestler himself stomps to the ring.
Shibata - Angle, face to face.
Commentary is keen to mention Shibata is one person who definitely wouldn't feel any fear in the face of a threat like that.
"Katsuyori Shibata, well this is better than I imagined it would be. Now I get to finish what God couldn't and retire you for good."
And with those words, a declaration of war has been written and signed.
Shibata is able to match Angle for grappling early, keeping Kurt guessing with a series of holds. He gets hold of Kurt's arm at one point and is able to do some fair damage with an armbar. Kurt gets frustrated with Shibata who smiles at Kurt after avoiding his umpteenth submission attempt.
Angle slaps Shibata across the face, Shibata's head goes down, his eyes go cold. He throws a boot that rocks Angle in the face, Kurt goes to the corner where Shibata meets him with repeated forearms to the mouth. Shibata runs to the opposite corner, Angle meets him there with a charging shoulder thrust to the ribs.
Angle to the opposite corner, Shibata meets him with a pump kick, Shibata to the opposite corner, Angle charges in for a rolling axe kick, Shibata moves, Angle hits the turnbuckles, Angle upside down in the corner, Shibata to the other side of the ring, Katsuyori takes a moment to compose himself, focusing his energy before charging in for a corner dropkick crushing Angle into the turnbuckles.
Shibata pulls Angle up and gets a stiff forearm, Angle returns but his dominant arm is weak from the early attack by Shibata. The two begin to trade forearms, Shibata always seeming to strike quite a bit harder.
Angle gets a flurry of right and left forearms backing Shibata up, Angle runs the ropes and Shibata gets a spin kick to the midsection before kicking at the back of Angle's knee. Shibata begins to target the not fully healed knee of Kurt now, locking figure fours and bow and arrow submissions.
Angle is reeling on the ropes after the onslaught, Shibata runs the ropes and looks for a big boot to send Angle out, Angle catches the leg, hooks around the neck and suplexes Shibata to the floor. Angle dives off the apron crushing Shibata at ringside before hitting a belly to belly suplex into the barricade.
Angle shoves Shibata back in and attempts a Moonsault, Katsuyori avoids and Angle backs into the corner where Shibata gets a big boot. He grabs Angle by the back of his neck, sprinting to the opposite side of the ring and connecting with another big boot once he plants Angle there.
He grips Angle by the back of his neck and gets sixteen forearms to the ear and jaw area, he gets a running start to the other corner before circling back with another corner dropkick.
Angle rolls to the apron to create distance and Shibata follows him there. A flurry of forearms connect yet again before Shibata backs up and gets a running dropkick to the downed Angle against the steel post!
Shibata sends Kurt back in and gets a two count, Angle pulls himself up on the ropes and Shibata looks for a German, Angle grips onto the ropes for dear life, Shibata lands a straight axe kick to the targeted arm and Angle recoils, Shibata runs the ropes and Kurt gets a rolling axe kick. Angle looks into the camera, beads of sweat running down, a frenzied look in the face, black mouth-piece in.
He grabs Shibata up and gets a big belly to belly, he's on all fours at this point, stalking, waiting for his next opening. German Suplex, yet again, completes the trio by throwing Shibata onto his head. Shibata clutches at his neck, but Kurt won't stop. Fallaway Slam by Angle, bodyslam by Angle. Kurt climbs and lands a moonsault to the upper body and face of Shibata, crushing his skull against the canvas.
Shibata is able to answer the count, so Angle stalks a dazed Shibata. Angle Slam, Katsuyori on his feet, STO by Shibata. As Angle recovers from the STO, Shibata is able to get some breathing room from the series of throws he took. Both men get to their knees, head to head, eye to eye. They begin exchanging forearms once more, but this time Angle has a more even playing field due to the headache beginning to start for Shibata.
Angle begins mixing in uppercuts with his forearms, Shibata catches him on one of these with a backslide, Angle kicks out and Shibata greets him with a chop across the neck, spinning backfist, a trio of forearms. Angle stops reacting, and stares up at Shibata, he lets out a shout and Shibata goes for a fourth forearm. Angle ducks and pushes Shibata into the corner before dragging him out with a Rolling German Suplex planting Shibata on his head.
Shibata on his hands and knees, trying to catch his bearings and make sense of the fog in his vision. Kurt climbs and gets a picture perfect moonsault to the kneeling Shibata. Katsuyori barely gets the shoulder up, Angle stares in disbelief at the ref, leaving himself still pinned over Shibata.
Shibata latches onto the arm getting a Kimura applied on the wounded Angle. Angle writhes until he finally grasps the bottom rope to force separation. Shibata drags Angle into the center of the ring. He tees off on the shoulder blade with kicks, he slaps Angle in the back of the skull sending a cloud of perspiration flying.
Shibata calmly crosses his legs, sitting down across from the crawling Angle. Angle gets to his knees, the two begin chopping each other in the face. Shibata gets a knife edge chop to the ear of Angle, and Kurt gets enraged. He stands up and begins another forearm exchange with Shibata. Angle wins this time backing Shibata into the corner, repeated shoulder thrusts to the ribs follow, Shibata taking a seat.
Angle with a corner running dropkick of his own! Angle goes for it again, Shibata rises and looks for a pump kick, Angle catches him, hugs Shibata in and gets a fallaway belly to belly. Angle beckons Katsuyori up and runs the ropes, Shibata stops him with a leg lariat.
Angle crawls into the corner and Shibata starts repeatedly stepping on his head. Angle tries to crawl out of the ring, but gets paintbrushed with the boot of Shibata. He drowns Angle with scrapes of his boot, stomps and kicks. The referee eventually backs up Shibata.
Shibata brings Angle out of the corner with a snapmare takedown followed by a soccer kick to the spine. He runs the ropes for a penalty kick, which Kurt catches and turns into an Ankle Lock, with the leg trapped he pulls Shibata into a German Suplex.
Shibata on his hands and knees, Angle begins a waistlock and tries to bear hug Shibata on the canvas, Shibata crosses his legs in this position. Angle rolls Shibata, but he lands crossed legged again. This continues until Angle gets frustrated, Shibata begins elbowing Angle in the side of the face and Kurt releases his grip. He runs the ropes and Shibata gets him with a big boot followed by a German Suplex of his own.
Angle pops up and Shibata turns around into a rolling axe kick, Shibata doesn't fall, pump kick by Shibata. Shibata from the corner to a stunned Angle, big boot, Angle avoids, German Suplex by Kurt. He maintains waist control and pulls Shibata up, Shibata begins elbowing Angle to force release. Angle grips the wrist to prevent Shibata from creating distance.
Shibata kicks him in his bad arm, and Angle lets go. He oblique kicks him in his knee before kicking away at the head of Angle. Angle desperately headbutts Shibata in the chest, igniting something in Katsuyori. Shibata turns around, takes a deep breath, turns to Angle and refuses to do what he desperately wants to, thinking of his health.
He forearms Angle down to the mat and gets an octopus hold applied, Angle scrambles to the ropes, fighting out. Penalty Kick by Shibata. Angle kicks out and Shibata locks a sleeper. A focused trance look on the face of Katsuyori as he strangles Angle.
Kurt grips the ropes to force the break, Shibata clubs the arms away, grips back on, sleeper suplex. Shibata with a spinning backfist, Angle catches the wrist, he grips the other wrist, backslide, Shibata rolls through, clothesline by Angle, ducked, Shibata ties him up in position. He spins Angle out, he readies his hand, he connects.
BitchMaker to Angle.
Kurt collapses and Shibata takes his time to catch his breath and focus up, all that focus goes into repeated, poised strikes to the shoulder, underarm and elbow of the damaged Angle. Angle grips onto the wrist to try and drag his way up, Shibata kicks his grip away. Shibata goes to run the ropes, but Angle grips onto the wrist again, avoids a clothesline attempt, traps both arms. Straight-Jacket Suplex on Shibata.
All of the weight coming down on his head and neck. Angle pulls up Shibata, German Suplex #1, Shibata begins elbowing Angle in the ear, German Suplex #2, Shibata still driving his elbow into the ear of Angle, Release German Suplex. Shibata lays motionless, blood begins trickling out of the ear of Angle, physical evidence of the desperation Shibata felt.
Angle brushes off the doctor's attempts to check on him, Kurt with an Angle Slam, but Shibata digging into the wound on the ear, Angle loses his balance, Shibata on his feet. Shibata hooks on from behind, trapping Angle's arm.

He spins Angle out, rainmaker style and closes the gap with a sickening headbutt to Kurt. Kurt collapses, but so does Shibata. He lays exhausted, head throbbing. Finally after over a minute, he musters the strength to crawl to the cover.
One, Two, Kurt kicks out. Kurt rises before Shibata who is kneeling, clutching his head. Angle pulls him up for a German, but Shibata refuses to go, clutching the back of his head and shaking his head. It's not an act of defiance or resilience, this is a man trying to stay alive.
Angle, despite having animalistic tendencies, has respect for Shibata after tonight and he shows mercy. He sends Shibata into the ropes chest first and when Katsuyori rebounds, he's caught with an Angle Slam. A cover by Kurt over the defenseless Shibata leads to one simple phrase, but one that intensifies the fullness in Shibata's head.

[Shortly after defeating Shibata in the hardest hitting match of Angle's career, he begins to lash out at the company that gave him his first big break. New Japan.
He states that he can work circles around any NJPW darling that think they're special because they had a few flashy matches in a company nobody watches.
This summons Kota Ibushi, vignettes have been airing teasing his return, but he finally appears coming face to face with Angle. The following week is Big Business and the bout is on.
Ibushi's fluid striking is able to pause Angle, Kurt attempts to make up for the strike deficit with suplexes, but Kota is incredibly spry and able to land safely on most everything Angle throws at him.
Ibushi with a series of strikes ending in a roundhouse, Angle ducks, German Suplex, Ibushi lands on his feet. Dropkick by Kota sends Kurt to the floor. Ibushi with a Triangle Moonsault to ringside, leveling Kurt.
Ibushi sends Kurt back in and goes for a Last Ride, Angle escapes and lands a German Suplex to Ibushi. Kurt begins to climb the turnbuckles, but Ibushi gets up and powerbombs Kurt from the middle turnbuckle, Angle kicks out, and Ibushi flips him onto his knees for a Kamigoye!
Angle catches the knee, and gets an Ankle Lock applied. Ibushi rolls free and sends Angle into the corner. Knee blast in the corner by Kota. He runs the ropes and Angle catches him with a belly to belly over the top rope.
Kurt climbs for a Moonsault to ringside, Ibushi avoids. Ibushi charges into the ring, Triangle Moon- Angle leaps onto the apron and German Suplexes Kota on to the apron, Ibushi's neck bouncing as he cadcades to the floor.
Angle quickly gets Kota back in, and attacks the ankle, Kota struggles, half conscious. He finally makes it to the ropes and is able to get back to his feet. He unloads with palm strikes and a slap to the face of Angle. Kurt looks for a clothesline, Kota ducks and gets a Pele Kick.
Ibushi pulls Kurt up for a Phoenix-Plex, Angle lands on his feet, not allowing Kota to drive his neck into the canvas. Angle Slam connects, and with that, Kurt has vanquished another NJPW legend.]

[Kurt grabs a microphone and begins berating Ibushi. He says this proves it, all those New Japan darlings that these marks worship, they're old, they're broken down, and they are no match for a Wrestling Machine.
Angle looks to target Ibushi again, getting a chair in hand, when all of a sudden Battle Cry hits. Kenny Omega storms the ring, avoiding a chair shot before hitting a V-Trigger sending the chair into Angle's face. Kurt retreats as Omega helps Ibushi up and Kurt's next challenge becomes increasingly clear, arguably the greatest NJPW wrestler of all time, Kenny Omega.]
AEW Dynasty, Apr 12, 2025:
Kenny Omega vs Kurt Angle (c), TNT Championship
[In the weeks leading up to Dynasty, we get some good build for this match including Angle and Hobbs vs Golden Lovers in which Omega pinned Hobbs for his team, as well as a segment in which Kenny and Kurt come face to face.
Kenny in full Terminator gear, he tells Kurt that he's been a big fish in a small pond until now, and that he should be careful not to forget who the original wrestling machine is.
When it comes bell time, Angle quickly recognizes Omega as the most pure athlete he's faced to date. The speed, the intensity, the pressure. Omega brings all of it in his first title match since returning late last year to combat The New Elite.
Kenny comes charging for a corner clothesline, but is caught by Angle who looks for a T-Bone Suplex into the turnbuckles, Omega with a DDT reversal. Angle rolls out and Omega begins drumming up the Terminator rhythm. Tope Con Hilo clears Angle at ringside.
Omega goes to send Kurt back in, but stops on the apron, joining Kurt there. The margin for error is thin as Omega locks the arms and gets a Snap Dragon Suplex across the thinly padded steel.
Kurt's neck issues start to become apparent here as he clutches at it. Omega goes to Irish Whip Angle into the barricade, but the momentum is reversed and Kenny is sent rocketing towards it. He promptly hops onto it and executes a Moonsault from the barricade.
Angle catches him and delivers him into the steel post, face first. Kurt proceeds to climb to the middle turnbuckle and hit a Moonsault to the downed Omega at ringside. Angle sends Kenny back in and begins his repeated German Suplexes, on the third, Omega lands on his feet and boots Angle into the turnbuckles harshly, Kurt exploding against the corner.
Kenny gets Kurt up now for One Winged Angel, Kurt rolls forward into a pinfall, Kenny kicks out and Kurt comes in with a standing 450 knee drop across the surgically repaired abdomen of Omega. Kurt now focuses up and goes after the leg, applying an Ankle Lock. Omega kicks free and slips behind Angle for a Kotaro Krusher.
Angle kicks out and Omega is left gripping his ribs as he pulls Angle up. He gets Angle on his shoulders, wincing as he does so. Rolling driver followed by a Springboard Moonsault on Angle. Kenny holds his midsection before getting Kurt up in OWA position once more.
Kurt struggles so Omega shifts him to a German Suplex, but Angle rolls into a pinfall. Omega kicks out, however, and Kurt is hot on his trail. A crossbody by Kurt takes both men to the outside.
Kurt pulls Kenny up for an Angle Slam against the steel post. Omega writhes in pain as Angle lets out a dominant cry. Kurt sets Kenny up top, but Omega fights back with wristbone strikes, sending Angle to the canvas. Kurt fires up, springing to the top turnbuckle for an Avalanche Belly To Belly, he follows through, but Omega lands on his feet!
Angle didn't see it and gets up to gloat, believing the cheers are for him. Omega gets a frenzied look in the eyes and scales to the top rope. Missile Dropkick to the back of Angle's skull.
Angel crawls to the ropes, drool leaking from his lax jaw. Omega runs the ropes for a V-Trigger against the ropes. He then exits the ring breaking out a steel chair, the ref attempts to stop him but Omega brushes him off. He opens it and sets it in the center of the ring.
Step-Stool V-Trigger! Omega covers for a near fall, and goes into the corner, talking to himself and trying to figure out how to put Angle down. Kurt recovers and tries to charge in, Omega rolls off the back and attempts a rana as Kurt comes over. Kurt with an abrupt sit-out powerbomb reversal before shoving Omega out of the ring.
Angle from the apron with a Somersault Plancha. Kurt sends Omega back in and tries for the Angle Slam, Omega with an arm drag reversal before sliding behind Kurt for a Snap Dragon into the turnbuckles. Omega runs into the opposite corner and closes in with a V-Trigger against the turnbuckles.
He pulls Angle up out of the corner and sticks a Poisonrana. Angle is able to barely survive the count. Omega in disbelief takes Angle to the top, he's thinking Avalanche OWA. Angle scrambles out and lands an Avalanche Angle Slam!
Omega somehow kicks out, and Kurt is beside himself. He goes to the top rope, a rare Frog-Splash from Angle, Omega moves, Kurt kisses the mat. V-Trigger to the back of the head, Omega pulls Kurt up, One Winged Angel connects.
Omega has ended the TNT Title reign of Kurt Angle, avenged the good name of NJPW and become a Grand Slam Champion in AEW.]

Kurt disappears for a while after this, but when vignettes begin airing detailing Angle's journey back, he's spotted being coached by one man in particular. One of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time, in Dean Malenko.
AEW Double Or Nothing, May 24, 2025:
Kurt Angle w/ Dean Malenko vs PAC
[Angle's first match back takes place two weeks prior to this one when he and Hobbs take on The Lucha Brothers. A victory for Angle and Hobbs isn't enough as Kurt attacks Fénix after the bell, refusing to release the Ankle Lock. Malenko eggs him on, telling him to break Fénix's leg.
This brings out PAC, who comes to the rescue of his long time friend and stablemate. He gets in Angle's face and shows no intimidation as he backs Kurt up. With Double Or Nothing around the corner, Angle believes PAC will make for an excellent first victim on his way to the top of the food chain.
Angle focuses more on his submission work under the advice of Malenko, he targets the legs making it hard for PAC to execute his aerial maneuvers. PAC is able to trap Angle in the Rings Of Saturn late, but Angle finds his way out, and gets a grip on the ankle. Moments later, PAC is tapping out.]

[Following his dominant victory over PAC, Angle sets his sights on the top of the mountain and the man standing at the peak of it. Ospreay has become unanimously agreed upon as probably the best wrestler on the planet. Angle looks to disprove this theory, and take care of another NJPW castaway.
Ospreay has Angle vulnerable and closes in for Essex Destroyer, Angle reverses with a Northern Lights and rolls through scooping Ospreay up for a deadlift powerbomb. Ospreay lands a rana reversal for a two count, before looking for Os-Cutter, Angle catches him and hits a Lawn Dart, vaulting Ospreay into the middle turnbuckle.
He begins his trio of Germans, Ospreay landing on his feet from the third and getting a superkick on Kurt. An Os-Cutter follows for a near-fall. Ospreay goes to the far corner, and charges in for Hidden Blade. Angle ducks and gets his third German Suplex.
He sets up for an Angle Slam, but Ospreay snags an arm drag reversal. Vertical dropkick by Ospreay who lands on his feet, enziguri connects, Ospreay with a handspring but caught by Angle with a German.
Ospreay goes to the outside and Kurt goes up top for a Moonsault to the floor, swing and a miss and Ospreay climbs. Corkscrew Moonsault by Ospreay, he sends Angle back in. Os-Cutter catches Angle flush. Ospreay from across the ring now, Hidden Blade connects!
Three seconds later, and Angle's dreams of being a World Heavyweight Champion are dashed by the best in the world...for now.]

[Following a devastating loss to Ospreay, Angle refocuses his tag team efforts alongside Hobbs. With Copeland and Christian having made amends and gone on to capture the AEW Tag Team Titles, Angle and Hobbs are eager to knock the legendary tag team off the throne.
Copeland has Angle in position for a Spear after a prolonged period of control when Kurt reverses it into an inside cradle for a near fall. Angle creates distance and tags out to Hobbs who attempts to overpower the historic duo, but the tag team experience is too much for Hobbs and as he is inevitably defeated, Angle experiences yet another setback.]

Bryan Danielson vs Kurt Angle w/ Dean Malenko
[Just two weeks removed from a victory over long time rival, Nigel McGuiness, Danielson is riding high and wants the most intense competition possible for All Out.
Naturally, this attracts Kurt Angle, a man who has never been submitted, yet has an incredible string of submission victories. He challenges Danielson's claims to be the best technical wrestler in the world, and promises to tap out The Dragon.
Throughout the dream contest, Angle targets and does significant damage to the knee and ankle of Bryan. Bryan attempts to apply similar limb targeting to the previously injured arm of Angle. With both men's history of neck issues, there's plenty of nasty envelope pushes in that department as well.
Bryan looks for a Busaiku Knee late when Angle catches him and gets a powerbomb reversal, he then applies a Boston Crab, squeezing the Achilles Tendon of Danielson. Bryan is able to edge to his back and roll Angle into a pin.
Kurt kicks out, and Danielson lands a roundhouse to a kneeling Angle, leaving him lamenting himself after he feels the effect on his leg. He pulls Angle up for a Dragon Suplex, but Angle breaks the grip and gets a Snapmare Takedown.
Bryan lands on his feet and begins blistering Angle with repeated kicks to the chest, wincing after every one. He finally backs up and tries for the roundhouse, but Kurt catches him in an Ankle Lock.
Kurt twists away at the squirming Danielson, who is able to turn just enough to start landing up-kicks to the bad shoulder of Angle. Danielson then gets a Triangle, pulling Angle in to the submission.
He traps the bad arm and begins striking away at the shoulder socket with elbows. Angle powers up, lifting Danielson before dumping him into the turnbuckles, crumpling Bryan into the corner.
Angle whips Bryan into the corner and he performs a Springboard Moonsault, landing on his bad ankle. Kurt slithers in and cinches an Ankle Lock in yet again. Bryan rolls out and gets a LeBell Lock applied, the bad arm of Angle angled awkwardly. Kurt makes the ropes and Bryan fires up into the corner.
He beckons Kurt up and closes the distance with a Busaiku Knee, Angle ducks, Bryan's bad knee hits the top turnbuckle! Angle Slam connects!
Kurt covers and in doing so obtains the single biggest victory of his career so far. An incredible effort from both men, and an incredible step forward for Kurt Angle.]

Bryan Danielson vs Kurt Angle w/ Dean Malenko vs Zack Sabre Jr., Ultimate Submission
[A victory over Bryan Danielson should have Kurt on cloud nine, but he can't help feel disappointed that he didn't deliver on his promise. He didn't tap Bryan out. He challenges Danielson, one more match, a thirty minute timer, no pinfalls, most submissions wins.
Rather than Danielson, it's NJPW's resident technical wizard, Zack Sabre Jr. who answers the call. He states that him and Angle have unfinished business. In the G1 Climax last year, Zack had Angle on the brink of submission but just as Kurt was about to give in, his body gave out and he passed out instead.
Zack has kept that goal in the back of his head since, to make the unsubmittable Kurt Angle tap out. Kurt says that he has great respect for Sabre Jr. but right now he is focused on Danielson.
Bryan enters and states a solution, a triple threat match, under Angle's proposed rules of course, to finally determine who the best technical wrestler in the world is.
Match time arrives and all three men feel the pressure in the air. Three of the most technically gifted pro wrestlers of all time engaged in a war for a chance to finally be crowned the undisputed king of tapping people out.
Twenty five minutes of pure grappling glory elapse, and despite some close calls, none of the three competitors have submitted. With five minutes remaining, all three men are volatile in their pursuit to finally get a point.
Bryan looks for a diving knee strike, when Kurt catches him and cinches an Ankle Lock. Danielson rolls forward and Zack leaps onto the shoulders of Kurt, ranas him to the canvas and locks a mounting triangle.
Bryan with a roundhouse to Zack, pulling him off of Kurt, Bryan proceeds to lock Cattle Mutilation on Sabre who kicks and struggles to survive the maneuver.
Kurt out of nowhere with a Moonsault to Danielson! The grip on Sabre Jr. released, Zack rolls out of the ring. Kurt focuses on Danielson, landing his trio of German Suplexes, Bryan on his feet during the third attempt.
Busaiku Knee, Kurt ducks just enough to catch Bryan across his shoulders. Torture Rack applied on Danielson, bending Bryan over his shoulders. Bryan shifts off the shoulders and locks a Guillotine on Angle, trying to cut off blood flow to the brain.
Angle attempts to reverse with a Northern Lights, but Bryan lands on his feet and maintains grip, forming a bridging guillotine. Zack slithers in, kicking Bryan in the knee and causing Danielson to kneel while keeping the Guillotine applied.
Zack gets a Triangle on Bryan while Bryan has a reverse Guillotine on Kurt, after a few moments, Bryan has to cut his losses with Kurt and try to escape Sabre's grip.
He inches free of the Triangle, getting grip on the legs for a Boston Crab. He tucks the legs and bridges back for a modified Muta Lock. He gives up and applies a seated Guillotine. No matter what Bryan does, Sabre fights on, less than a minute remains when Bryan locks the LeBell Lock.
He drives his knuckles into the nose of Sabre, eventually garnering color, as the crimson begins to leak into his mouth. Danielson covers the mouth and nose with his hands, seconds remain when Kurt rushes in to save the match.
Zack Sabre Jr. is drowning in his own blood.
Three, Two, Sabre Jr. taps!
With one second on the clock, Danielson forces a submission, Kurt was fingertips away from saving the match-up. Sabre Jr. is released and inhales big, gulping breathe, bile and blood leaking from his mouth. Angle gets to his feet and approaches Danielson.
A handshake follows as Bryan Danielson is acknowledged as the Ultimate Submission Master in one of the greatest displays of technical wrestling ever.]

What isn't made clear at the time is that this actually serves as Kurt Angle's AEW farewell. He bids farewell to Malenko, telling him to watch over Hobbs for him and vice versa with Hobbs. Less than a month later, his contract expires and he opts not to resign. Questions begin to flare up about where Kurt Angle may turn up next, rumors even begin to circulate that he may be done with professional wrestling for the foreseeable future.

WWE Royal Rumble, Jan 31, 2026:
[The Royal Rumble arrives, and as with any given Rumble, who knows what surprises may be in store?
The Men's Rumble match is occuring when entry number twenty-seven is about to be revealed. Medal sounds and the roof comes off of Kaseya Center as the words KURT ANGLE pan across the titantron. The Olympic Hero has arrived.
Angle racks up a couple of eliminations, tossing Johnny Gargano after a fun sequence and Shinsuke Nakamura after an exchange of strikes. Angle comes face to face with AJ Styles who engages in a staredown with The Wrestling Machine.
Before they can lock up, both men are ambushed by other participants, delaying the dream match. Kurt makes it to the final six, but runs into a brick wall when he attempts to eliminate Bron Breakker.
A back and forth of control ends with Breakker on top, landing a belly to belly over the top rope to eliminate Kurt Angle.]
SmackDown, Feb 6, 2026:
John Cena's Open Challenge
[Cena, entering the twilight of his career, goes back to his old open challenge routine, wanting to face as many young superstars as he can before he calls it a career.
His first of these challenges is answered by Kurt Angle himself, who comes face to face with the established Cena. In just his second WWE match, Angle wants to lock up with the GOAT.
Cena, perplexed and expecting a talent on the roster that he was familiar with to appear, poses a reasonable question.
"Who in the hell are you?"
'I'm Kurt Angle'
"Kurt Angle, huh? Tell me, what is the one quality that you possess that makes you think you can come out here and challenge the very best?"
Angle pauses, somehow, he knows exactly what to say.
'Ruthless Aggression.'
Angle clocks Cena and the bell rings, Angle's WWE debut and he has a chance to show that ruthless aggression against one of the most reputable names in wrestling history.
Cena starts out the contest believing Angle will be an easy foe and taking time to pander to the audience. It doesn't take long though for Kurt to gain his respect with a surprise German Suplex while Cena is standing on the middle turnbuckle.
Angle begins to unload with a variety of kick variations and suplexes, wobbling Cena. Cena avoids a Moonsault and lands a Code Red for a near fall.
He beckons Angle up for an Attitude Adjustment, and Angle shifts off the shoulders to begin his trio of German Suplexes. He bridge pins on the third and Cena muscles out.
Angle looks for an Ankle Lock, but Cena rolls free. Attitude Adjustment positioning, Angle lands on his feet. Another German Suplex connects and Angle rolls through, lifting Cena into an emphatic Angle Slam.
Cena narrowly manages to kick out. Angle sizes Cena up for one more Angle Slam, Cena escapes to his feet, Attitude Adjustment, Angle shifts into a roll-up on Cena.
Three seconds later, and Angle has defeated the 16x World Champion in his WWE debut. A shocked Cena watches as Angle takes his place as a hot commodity in WWE.]

It's not long after this that Kurt finds himself some teammates. During a bout with Akira Tozawa and Apollo Crews of WorldWide, the team of Cedric Alexander and Damon Kemp receive some unexpected assistance from Kurt Angle.
Following the bout, Angle approaches Alexander and Kemp, shortly thereafter, forming Team Angle.

AJ Styles vs Kurt Angle
[Ever since their unsatisfying face off at the Royal Rumble, fans and these two alike have been eager to get a proper match made. Angle wants a legacy fight for WrestleMania, another name to engrave on his record.
AJ Styles refuses to be viewed as someone to be put out to pasture and tells Angle to bring his intensity, bring his intelligence, bring his integrity and then come to terms with the fact that it still won't be enough.
Angle tries for an Angle Slam after Styles misses a Springboard 450, Styles maneuvers his way over and into Styles Clash position only for Angle to grip the ankle and turn it into an Ankle Lock.
Styles writhes and tries to make the ropes, but Angle drags him back into the center of the ring and sits down into a knee bar - ankle lock fusion forcing Styles to submit to The Wrestling Machine.]

Cody Rhodes vs Kurt Angle
[Following his massive victory over AJ Styles at WrestleMania, Angle and his posse set their sights on another established vet, Cody Rhodes.
Angle tells Rhodes that Kurt is everything Cody has claimed to be, at Backlash he'll expose Cody as a fraud and show him who the true American Nightmare is.
It's a hotly contested affair with Cody, less than a year removed from his World Title run, putting Kurt to the test. Cody is in the driver's seat when a ref bump leads Cedric and Kemp to interfere, Kemp is neutralized before Cedric inadvertently lays Angle out.
Cross Rhodes to Cedric, and another one to Kurt and Rhodes has pinned The Olympic Hero.]

WWE King & Queen Of The Ring, Jun 27, 2026:
Damian Priest vs Kurt Angle
[Kurt enters into the King Of The Ring tournament following his loss to Rhodes, but not before kicking Cedric out of Team Angle. He's replaced by a man Angle knows well, the debuting Josh Alexander.
While Josh and Kemp pick up the tag team titles, Angle focuses in on the tournament. He is able to defeat Rey Mysterio in the first round, Dragon Lee in the second, Pete Dunne in the quarters, and Cedric in the semis.
Damian, meanwhile wins the RAW bracket and the finals are set. The Punisher vs The Wrestling Machine.
In a vein very similar to what an Angle/Undertaker match looks like, Priest muscles around Angle, only for Kurt to surprise him with his own strength. Angle works on the leg, rendering Priest's kicking ability useless and kneading him for the eventual Ankle Lock.
Damian looks for Razor's Edge, powering through the pain in his leg. As he chucks Angle, Kurt reverses with a huracanrana taking Priest off guard. Angle begins his trio of Germans, on the third attempt, Priest maneuvers free and gets a Thunder Clap on Angle.
He sets up for The Reckoning, but Angle hits a Southern Lights Suplex, sending Priest forward to the canvas. Angle gets an Angle Slam for a near-fall.
A Moonsault follows, but Priest gets a grip across the throat as Kurt comes down. He lands South Of Heaven for a close two count. Damian sizes up Kurt from across the ring.
Tornado Kick, intercepted, Kurt locks onto the ankle! Priest tries to roll out, kick Kurt away, but Angle is relentless and vice grips around the ankle, torturing Damian.
Priest eventually passes out from the pain, giving Angle a victory, albeit one he's only slightly satisfied with. Regardless of how, Kurt has won King Of The Ring and will now main event SummerSlam for the World Heavyweight Championship.]

Brock Lesnar vs Kurt Angle
[Brock, having returned in the Royal Rumble earlier in the year and announcing a retirement tour, culminating at SummerSlam in his hometown, sets his sights on Kurt Angle.
Kurt, one month away from main eventing SummerSlam, accepts Brock's challenge, dubbing him one more legend Kurt can send packing.
The match is evidently very intense with Brock showing his trademark dominance and Angle impressing with bursts of strength and out-grappling Lesnar.
Towards the climax of the match, both men begin exchanging German Suplexes. Brock eventually decides to do the continuous trio ala Kurt. Angle lands on his feet on the third attempt and rolls Brock into a deadlift German Suplex.
Kurt scales for a Moonsault, but Brock catches him in mid-air for an F-5, Kurt scrambles free and gets an Ankle Lock applied. Brock is able to fight out, applying a Kimura Lock. Kurt makes it to the ropes and Brock gets fed up.
Lesnar goes to the top turnbuckle for the first time in decades and attempts a Shooting Star Press. Kurt moves and Lesnar eats canvas, Angle immediately jumps onto the leg of Brock applying an agonizing Ankle Lock.
After minutes of Kurt's snake-like refusal to release his grip, he does what few have ever been able to do and makes The Beast tap out. After the bout, Brock shakes the hand of Kurt Angle and Kurt looks ahead to his titanic Heavyweight Title opportunity.]

As Angle approaches war at SummerSlam, he decides that Team Angle needs an advisor. Someone that can guide them to their ultimate goal of every member holding gold. He says for three of the best technical wrestlers in the world, their advisor must be of a similar status.

We all just stare at it for a while, waiting to see what it does. The first person to make a move is Wabbajack, inching his way closer towards it. As he gets close, he pokes it. As he does, I could swear it makes a squeaking sound.
He gasps as he picks it up. At that moment, I notice that the tail stays close to the ball of fluff, kinda flying around it. Maybe it has a set distance? He then proceeds to squeeze it a couple more times as it squeaks. “This is amazing!” He yells, squeezing it some more.
Eventually, it spins around to face him. It opens its mouth and out comes a tongue flying out like a frog and connects to Wabbajacks face. The rest of the body then comes flying towards his head as it bites his head, knocking over Wabbajacks hat.
I hear a muffled, “Aww. I was having fun. Oh well, got to admit though, it’s feisty.”
“It seems to be a Umoya Vulpes Uhane.” I hear to my right. I turn to see Mogsten looking into a book. “Fascinating! This seems to be the only other time that there has Ever been a recorded sighting of one. There is almost next to no information on its capabilities here.” He adds. He then slams the book shut as he exclaims, “I’ll pay whatever you want for him!”
I then hear more muffled noises say, “Wow! This guy must be really rare for Mogsten to offer anything. Still, first, Lily, how do you feel?”
I look back at the ball of leathery fur that has Wabbajack’s head in its mouth. I feel… something. I put my finger to my chin as I say, “I don’t quite know what I feel right now honestly.”
Wabbajack continues to try and speak as he says muffled again, “Well, familiars are rare, and the experience is different from person to person. Just don’t try to rush it and things should make sense I imagine. What do you want to name this fella?”
I don’t know honestly. But, first things first, “Could you get it off your head now? It’s hard to hear what your saying.” I say.
“Wait, Wabbajack has been talking?” Mogsten asks.
“Well, yeah. Haven’t you heard him?” I ask.
Mogsten looks at me funny and then back at the ball of fur. He then walks over to it and kicks Wabbajacks foot out from underneath him, knocking him down on his back. He then goes up to the fox ball and whispers into its ear. For some reason, as clear as day, I hear, “Can you hear me whispering Lily? Nod if you do.”
So, I nod.
“Fascinating!” He says. He then snaps his fingers as Gourdsten hands him a notepad and a pen. As soon as they are in his hands, he starts writing down some stuff. He stops to look at the fox ball and holds up the notepad to it. “Anything?” he asks.
“What?” I yell back.
He then shrugs and goes back to writing notes.
“Can I get back up now?” Wabbajack says, still muffled.
I rub my temple, wishing that the fox ball would just get off his head.
Just as I think that, it hops off and starts to walk towards me. Well, waddle may be a more accurate word. Or, whatever it is called for how gators walk. It then stops in front of me and tilts its head. Its tail then connects to the body and, as it does, the body stretches out, taking a noodle like shape. It then flies up and wraps its body around my neck! It yawns, and I think I hear it snore. Funny, like it is now, it’s kinda like a scarf. Although the breathing I feel from it adds to the soothing effect as well.
“Spectacular!” I hear Mogsten exclaim. I look towards him to see him fervently taking notes. I also happen to see Wabbajack had gotten back up, put his hat back on, and was walking over here as well.
“I’m amazed. It looks like this was a success.” Wabbajack says.
“Of course! Who do you think I am? Some amateur?” Mogsten says, not taking his eyes off my living scarf.
Regardless, the leather belly provides a good grip while the fur is Extremely soft. I could see myself falling asleep as well if I wasn’t busy trying to process everything right now.
“Welp, it all worked out. You got a familiar and Mogsten is one of the few who successfully summoned it.” Wabbajack points out.
Mogsten shoots up as he realizes it too as he says, “Yes. YES! I DID! People will come from everywhere to see my wares and request my talent!” He then starts dancing along with Gourdsten.
“Although, you’ll have to up security if people keep requesting familiars.” Wabbajack mentions.
The dance slowly comes to a stop as that fact sinks in and Mogsten says, “Blast.” He then snaps his fingers as he says, “I can provide a questionnaire and a test, that people will have to pay for as well! Oh hohohohoho!” He laughs as he starts dancing again.
Wabbajack just shrugs and turns back to me. He asks, “Well, introduced you to about most of the important places that are around here, all that is left would be the furniture then. Unless there is anything else you can think of?”
As I start petting my living scarf, I try to think really hard if there is anything else I need to know. We got equipment, some magic books for me to study, my mark of sentience, a familiar, had a fight or two with Wabbajack, and met his family. I shrug and say, “No, I actually think that was it.”
He wipes his forehead as he says, “Thank goodness. I can’t tell you how crazy today has been.”
I can’t help but let out a chuckle as I say, “You think it’s been crazy for you? It’s been one new concept after another for me.”
He looks at me, chuckles, and says, “Fair enough. I almost forgot that All this must be new to you.” I had just gotten changed back when he then walks to the flap leading to the front as he says, “Well then, shall we get some furnishing?”
I nod and quickly chase after him. As we exit the store, I decide to ask Wabbajack some more questions as we peruse the bazaar for any good furniture being sold. I ask him an important question, at least to me anyways, “Why do you do this job? With your talents and skills, you could do whatever. And don’t try to sell me on that Monster of Monsters thing. Don’t you get tired of it?”
He stops, sighs, and tilts his hat down as he explains, “Well, if you really intend on traveling with me, then I guess you’ll have to know sooner or later. Let me ask You a question first however. Do you think nothing good could come from death?”
I look down as I answer, “Well, I mean, there is always another way, right?”
He responds with, “True, but I have learned why being a hero is as disastrous as the destruction they prevent. If I had to guess, Silkie probably told you about That, right?”
I quickly try to look away but realize, I immediately sold myself out.
“I thought so.” He says. He then follows up with, “There was a reason for that. There was a warlike nation growing in power. The reason for that is that none of the other nations were taking it seriously, so they pillaged and plundered as much as they like. Now, what is the best way to convince a nation’s leader that an “insignificant” threat is an actual one without them laughing at you?”
I look up and try to consider.
Before I can however, he continues, “I played the part of the nation about to destroy everything, and…assassinated… that infant. When the king and queen discovered their child killed by, what reports believed was one of those “barbarians”, they then took the threat Very seriously. They beefed up security and their guard. When the nation was invaded, instead of being wiped out, they defended themselves and crushed the opposition. I admit, it haunts me most nights. The crying, the sadness, then the stifling quiet. I hated it. But, they didn’t have the time for me to convince them conventionally. That is why I do these things, so others don’t have to. If they were defeated, then the warlike nation would have just steamrolled over everyone else. Now, tell me, what happens when a culture developed entirely around killing others runs out of things to kill?”
I ask him this time, “Is this a rhetorical question or do you want me to answer it this time?”
He shrugs and says, “Only if you want to try.”
I sigh and start thinking about it. “If a culture based on war ran out of people to fight… then they would try to look to improving their lives, right?”
He pats my head as he says, “You’re a genuinely good person. If that was how it worked, I would hopefully be out of a job. No, unfortunately. Nine point nine times out of ten, they just start killing each other. Point zero five percent scenario that they manage to start invading other dimensions. And the last of it, would hopefully improve their lot.”
“That’s so sad.” I mention.
“Welp, that is why I am around, I imagine. I wish I could save everyone but then, it becomes a cycle of dependency. If they can’t manage to take care of themselves, then when the rock holding it all up disappears, then things just go back to being as bad as they were before. Sometimes it winds up being worse than before. So, while I am impressed of true-blue heroes, I don’t envy them. That’s why I take orders from my boss. He promised me that, if I listen to him, he could help me protect entire dimensions. And the best options are sometimes the darkest ones. And who better to wander the darkness than someone who just about everyone hates already?” he asks while pointing to himself.
While he says that cheerfully, I swear I could sense a sadness to it as well. As I think that, my familiar floats over to Wabbajack and starts licking his face.
“He-e-ey. Easy there. Didn’t think I was that tasty.” He says as he tries to wave it off.
“Wolfie! Stop it!” I say without thinking.
It looks back, tilts its head, and floats back to being around my neck.
“Wolfie?” Wabbajack asks.
“Yeah… I guess. I guess that is what I decided to name it.” I say as I pet its fur.
I hear him chuckle. I respond with, “What?”
“Nothing.” He answers. He then waves forward as he asks, “Well then, shall we continue?”
I smile and walk forward. I then see him catch up immediately. When he does, Wolfie then starts wagging her tail, I think.
“What’s he so excited about?” Wabbajack asks.
“She. And I’m not sure.” I respond. I have a suspicion but, there are still too many variables to answer before I can start providing answers.
Wabbajack puts both his hands up defensively as he says, “My bad.
Sorry.”
“It’s fine.” I tell him.
We finally reached the bazaar and start looking around. As I am looking around, Wabbajack smacks my back and says, “That guy looks promising.”
I look over in the direction that he points, and I see a turtle person wearing some very poofy-looking robes, puffing smoke from a long oboe-looking pipe. Behind him, is some sort of tube-like machine. Wabbajack walks over to him, so I follow shortly after him.
As soon as he goes up to him, Wabbajack asks, “Excuse me good sir, what would you be selling here?”
There is a pause, he then lets out some smoke, and finally says, “Nothing.”
“Nothing?” I ask.
Another pause and he responds with, “Yep.” He then let’s out some more smoke.
“But then, what is this stall here then?” I ask.
As there is Another pause, I realize that this must be their shtick. He then answers with, “Fabrication.”
“Fabrication? You actually got a permit for that?” Wabbajack asks.
One pause later, he answers, “Yep.”
I look to Wabbajack and ask, “What is Fabrication and, why is it such a big deal?”
“Fabrication is a SUPER advanced form of blacksmithy. As long as you have the materials, you can determine what gets crafted, how it gets crafted, and what it looks like. The only catch is that it depends on the materials. Don’t expect to get golden bricks from grass. That requires rewriting at the genetic level, which you would have to be a master alchemist for that. Even I don’t have the means for fabrication. Although, the alchemy stuff can be pretty fun once you get past all that boring stuff. Not to mention profitable.” Wabbajack explains.
“Wait. You can’t do Fabrication?!” I ask in astonishment.
“Well, I could if I had the materials and patience for it. The time it takes to be permitted to fabricate Anything takes an unrealistic amount of time. I made it about halfway through before even I lost my patience.” Wabbajack answers.
“Why did you stop halfway?” I ask.
“Staying in a classroom for half a millennium alone, being told the yes and no’s of fabrication tends to make a lot of people go mad.” He continues to explain.
Before I can express my disbelief, we hear a very slow laugh, followed by, “Wimp.” I look over to the turtle man in time for him to blow some more smoke.
“You got me their old timer.” I hear Wabbajack say.
“Wait, why does it take so long?” I ask.
“Fabrication is a very meticulous process. Possibly the most meticulous. Not to mention, as I am sure you can imagine, it would be Very profitable for whomever can pull it off. It’s one of the most closely watched professions in all of Spiritopia. Not to mention, if someone of dubious morality decided to fabricate items, chances are that a LOT of bad things would come of it. You have to really have to be discerning when you break into the business. But, if you manage to pull it off, you are held in VERY high regards. Almost untouchable.” Wabbajack explains.
I then hear another, “Yep.” And another puff of smoke.
I then look at the turtle man and ask, “Does that mean you could make us some furniture?”
There is a pause as he looks me up and down. After a while, he says, “Nope.”
I am shocked. I ask, “Why not?”
Pause, puff, and says, “Inexperienced.”
I tilt my head down as I say dejectedly, “Oh, I see.” Wolfie also lets out a sad “hmmm”
Wabbajack then asks himself, “What about me?”
He then looks him up and down as well. This time, he scratches his chin. After a while longer, he says, “Yep. But I’ll charge you more than usual.”
Before I can exclaim my disapproval, Wabbajack says, “Deal!”
As I look to him aggravated, I then hear the turtle man say, “What would you like?”
Wabbajack looks to me as he asks, “What would you like? I imagine some drawers with a vanity mirror, a better bed, some sort of entertainment, maybe even a closet?”
I exclaim, “Wait just one minute! Why would you willingly pay more than normal?”
“Like I said, it’s a profession held in high regard.” Wabbajack explains.
“That.” As the turtle man starts to say something as well. “That and your reputation as Mr. Happy. But, I do like to make my own judgements as well.” He continues as he then lets out another puff.
“There you go.” Wabbajack says, pointing towards the turtle man.
I sigh and say, “Still strikes me as unfair.”
The turtle man laughs again as he says, “Inexperienced.”
Wolfie lets out a growl.
“Easy now, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Let’s not get upset over the finer details.” Wabbajack responds with.
I let out another sigh as I say, “Alright, fine. All the things you mentioned sound good.” I then puff my face.
Wabbajack then lets out a laugh as he says, “Alright. Don’t worry, if you don’t like something about it, we could always come back and change it now that we know someone who can fabricate stuff.”
He then looks at the turtle man as he asks, “Before we talk business, may we exchange names? My name is Wabbajack.” He then puts his hat to his chest and offers a small bow.
Pause, puff, and he says, “Polite. My name is… hold on. Been a while.” He then scratches his chin. He then goes, “Oh! That’s right. Thomas is my name.”
“That’s a good name.” Wabbajack says.
“Flattery won’t lower the price lad.” Thomas says.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” Wabbajack responds.
I then put my finger to my chin as I think and start seriously thinking about what I want my room to look like. I honestly want to start pumping ideas but, as I think about it, I don’t really know what I want everything to look like, let alone what it would look like together. Especially since it has become very apparent that my level of fashion sense is not quite up to snuff as I once thought it was.
As I am thinking all this, I hear a meat-ripping noise that snaps me back into reality. I look towards the sound and I see that Wabbajack had ripped his arm off at the shoulder and is now holding it towards Thomas. I naturally let out a scream.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?!” I yell.
They both look at me and Wabbajack asks, as nonchalantly as ever, “What’s up?”
““What’s up?” You RIPPED your ARM OFF!” I point out.
He looks at the arm he’s holding out and points at it with the arm that he Should be missing as he asks, “This arm?”
I look back and forth and the realization must have been obvious as he then asks, “You forgot about me being able to regenerate, didn’t you?”
I blush as I say, “Yeah…”. I snap out of my embarrassment as I think to ask, “But, doesn’t that still hurt?”
He just shrugs as he asks, “Yeah, why wouldn’t it?”
“Why did you rip your arm off then?” I ask in response.
“Because, we will just simply come back when you understand what would work best for you want for your own room and style. But, for now, this would be the perfect opportunity to give you a device to access the same font of information I have access to And a means of travel if we ever get separated somehow.” He explains as Thomas takes his torn arm and examines it.
Before I can say anything else, we hear, “Five currency…”
Five currency? Just five or five million? It couldn’t be so cheap after he said he would charge more than normal, right?
Just as I think that, Wabbajack says, “Awesome, here you go.” As he hands him five of those matte dice.
“What happened to being more expensive?” I blurt out.
Thomas just shakes his head as he just says, “Inexperienced…” Again.
Wolfie lets out another small growl.
“Now, now. Calm down. Fabrication isn’t expensive by any means since the customer has to provide the materials themselves. So, Fabricators can’t honestly charge a lot since they aren’t doing a lot.” Wabbajack explains while Thomas throws the arm into his machine and starts hitting buttons.
“That makes sense” I think to myself.
Next thing I know, Thomas throws me this small calculator like device. I look down at it and, while it does have the shape of a calculator, the symbols on the buttons are fluctuating and where the screen is supposed to be is this oval like projector lens and on the front-facing side is this little bulb, like what you would see on a remote control.
The confusion on my face must have been apparent as Wabbajack says, “Don’t worry, just fiddle with it and sooner or later you’ll figure out how it works.” He then pats my shoulder.
He looks back over his shoulder and says “Thanks Thomas, we will definitely be coming back. Phenomenal work.” He then gives a thumbs up.
Thomas lets out a puff after giving us a smug smile.
Wolfie takes his scarf form and wraps around my neck as Wabbajack pulls me along by the arm, he asks, “So what next?”
I put the calculator to my head as I honestly try to process everything that’s happened. Not to mention all the studying and practice I have to do just to make everything feel normal. All I can think to say is, “Maybe… it would be best if we go back home?”
“Yeah, that sounds good honestly. It’s getting late and your body needs rest to process everything that’s happened. It must be… well, actually shoot. It IS a whole other world from what you are used to. Best to take it slow. Even though today hasn’t exactly gone smoothly. Yilimet should also be done with all his shopping as well.” He says, using air quotes around shopping.
I guess the air quotes are because Yilimet has been cooking for a household of people with no sense of taste for who knows how long now. As I let out an audible gulp loud enough to make Wabbajack laugh.
With how crazy today has been, I expected the walk back to that spot with the two guards to be even more eventful but, nothing. Everyone pretty much just kept their distance for the most part. I think most were also just heading home.
As we get there, I see Yilimet holding an unusual number of bags as he says, “Hey you two, you wouldn’t believe the news I heard! Someone managed to summon a familiar after all this time and it didn’t go on a murderous rampage. Crazy, right?”
“Crazy, sure. Let’s get home. I’m sure things are going to be a bit more interesting than usual from here on.” Wabbajack says as he cuts open a portal home.
Interesting? Beyond a shadow of a doubt. I can’t help but feel like that, even by his standards, there will be quite some exciting and fascinating adventures ahead of both of us. Just as we all walk through the portal home together, Yilimet asks, “Hey, where did that fox come from?”

EVENT FAQs

  • The Event Shop and Capsules appear after you’ve healed 30-70 tiles; after that a free Bronze Capsule can be collected every 3 hours.
  • It takes 5 or 6 level 9 Life Orb of the Heavens to clear all the 5k+ land, depending on how much you heal by merging items off dead land.
  • To collect both the full set of Points Prizes and any level of Rush Rewards, you will need to earn 29,950 points.
    • Reaching this amount requires 1x Level 9 points item, 1x L8 item, 2x L7 items, and 2x L6 items (or just aim for 2x L9 points items).
  • There’s always enough material to merge by 3s when making Key items.
  • Caves must be tapped to spawn a Zomblin; only one event Zomblin lives in each cave, and it turns into Stinky Cheese when killed.
  • The Gold Capsule, Fallen Star, and Tanzanite Nest are hiding near the far edge of the map, on tiles requiring 50k energy to heal.
  • Infinite Harvestables:
    • There are 9x Level 1, 3x L2, 1x L3, 2x L4, and 2x L5 Infinite Harvestables (Carnival Carts) on the map; you can delete one level 1 and one level 2 and still have enough to make a level 6, as long as you 5-merge whenever possible.
    • NOTE: There are no Infinite Harvestable used as keys, and lower level items can safely be deleted if uncovered.
  • Consumable/Limited Harvestables:
    • Each 1x2 Golden Jolly Mask can be harvested 25 times; 75 total harvests are needed to complete Quest 1.3.
    • Each harvest of the big 2x2 Peacock Mask at the back of the map yields a 10% chance of spawning an extra Golden Jolly Mask.
    • Once all available Golden Jolly Mask and the Peacock Mask are gone, there is no way to get more.
  • Strategy advice:
    • Spending money or gems is NEVER required to complete an event, nor is using an auto-clicker or other exploits.
    • The number and level of possible reward items is determined by your Event Portal level; working to raise that to its maximum of L16 is one of the best ways to boost your overall progress in the game

    • For active players wanting more dragons, the Prism Flower method is a good option: Link 1, Link 2, Link 3. Note: this technique is only for active play; since only 2 dragons at a time will harvest when left on their own, having more will actually slow down idle harvesting.
    • A recently shared strategy using the Hills chain here can greatly increase Life Flower production, but it usually takes a few gems (maximum of 80, but less if you get some in capsules)

EVENT TROUBLESHOOTING

If the event is not showing up correctly or if glitches are affecting your play:
  1. Check that you meet the version and dragon power requirements.
  2. Try hard-closing and then relaunching your game.
  3. Try rebooting your device (ie, turn it completely off, then back on and allow it to fully boot up before relaunching the game). If you are on wifi and have access to the router, try rebooting that, too.
  4. Try switching to a completely different internet source.
  5. Try clearing your game’s cache (google for instructions for your specific phone type).
  6. If you’re suddenly experiencing multiple issues like lagging or error messages (or if the event vanishes completely), close the game and try again after 2-3 hours. Events are internet-based, and sometimes issues with the servers can cause temporary problems — all we can do for that is to wait it out.
  7. If none of the above helps, contact Gram Games Support through the in-game link or the Support Web Portal for help figuring out what’s wrong.
  • NOTE: Cloud Save is still unreliable: according to the developer, it is not safe to be used and should be left turned off.
  • NOTE: Saving your Progress: Make sure to save your progress by traveling to the World Map screen (and waiting there until everything’s fully loaded) regularly, and especially before closing your game.

Remember when Hiby released the M300 under a new brand, Hiby Digital? That one was in the same vein as later Sony A Series Walkmans and became quite popular. But that’s old news now. The new rage is the R4. Has Hiby finally lost it, releasing such a feature-packed product for only $249?

Hiby R4, along with their Project Ace, was sent to me by Hiby as part of the Turkey Tour of the Audio Geek Review Group. I don’t get to keep these tour units, even at the end of the tour. As I always say, everyone is biased one way or another, so take everything you read with a grain of salt. Also, I will try to be more concise and to the point in my reviews from now on without worrying about the word count, etc. If you have any questions, please ask me in the comments, and I will try to answer them to the best of my abilities. Additionally, I will be copying some parts from my earlier Hiby R6 Pro II review, as they are pretty much valid for this review as well.

About Hiby

Hiby was founded in 2011, according to their website, and apparently, has even more experience in the audio field. They are mostly known for their Digital Audio Players, but they also make DAC/Amps and earphones. However, what sets Hiby apart from other manufacturers is their expertise in software. Their UIs, apps, and connection protocol, Hiby Link, are used even by other brands.

Design and Packaging of Hiby R4

With a cyberpunk theme, Hiby hits several birds with one stone. First, they made their target audience obvious, in this case, younger audiophiles. They also lowered the cost with relatively cheap construction and could get away with it. The device has sharp corners, and rubber is used here and there. The 04 number is apparent on the packaging and the device. There are four color choices: Orange, Silver, Green, and Black. The color I got is the most boring one, Silver. Honestly, this Evangelion vibe is what attracted me to the R4.

The Hiby R4 comes in a simple but stylish package. Inside, you are welcomed with the DAP, and at the back, you get a TPU case, a USB-C to USB-C cable, and spare screen protectors. Although it sounds modest, I don’t really need anything else. Higher-end DAPs come with more cables and stuff, but I rarely use them anyway.

Hardware of Hiby R4

So most people choose their DAPs and DACs based on the DAC chips inside. In the case of the R4, 4 ES9018C2M chips are used for digital-to-analog conversion. The amplification circuit consists of 4 OP1652 and 2 OP1612 operational amplifiers. The R4 only works in Class A amplification by default, which can be a downside if you don’t like your electronics running warm or want more battery life. The maximum power output of the device is 165 mW from single-ended and 525 mW from balanced.

Being a budget-oriented device, the Hiby R4 offers 3 GB of RAM memory and 32 GB of internal storage, but as usual, you can store up to 2 TB of music or data with an SD Card.
The 4.7” IPS 720p screen on the R4 isn’t exactly flagship-level, but it's more than enough for regular operation of a DAP.
The R4 supports the usual wireless and wired connectivity options, namely WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB, and Coaxial through USB-C output. Analog outputs include 3.5 mm single-ended and 4.4 mm balanced. There are no separate line outputs. The device also supports DLNA, Airplay, and their own Hiby Link protocols, as well as Hiby Cast remote control. It can render X16 MQA too, if that’s important to you. I’m pretty sure there are others I forgot to mention.

So all of these yield virtually no distortion and noise. I didn’t really test the battery life, but Hiby promises 11 hours of runtime with 3.5 mm single-ended output. All I can say is that the battery has a longer life than my R6 Pro II, so through balanced, I can say 9-10 hours of playback is what you can expect.

Software and UI

The Hiby R4 uses an open Android 12.0, which means you can download any 3rd party apps you want, and it should receive app updates for quite a while. Hiby Music comes pre-installed as the default music player, and I didn’t need to use any other music app since I mostly stream my music.

The UI is customized by Hiby for the intended use case. It is not too different from the usual Android experience, but changing audio controls like adjusting gain and amplification type is especially very easy. Hiby also offers four different themes for you to choose from. All of them looked great in their own way, so I had a hard time choosing one. The UI is pretty fast. I only saw it stuttering when loading album art, that’s all.
Hiby’s own MSEB (Mage Sound 8-ball Tuning) is an EQ-based easy sound adjustment mechanism. If using EQ is intimidating for you, playing with MSEB can ease you into it. I think it’s a great feature. Here is the list that shows how each choice affects the sound:
1 -- Overall Temperature: a tilt of the whole line towards treble (cool) or bass (warm)
2 -- Bass extension 70Hz and below
3 -- Bass texture 100Hz (medium)
4 -- Note thickness 200Hz (wide)
5 -- Vocals 650Hz (very wide)
6 -- Female overtones 3kHz (tight)
7 -- Sibilance LF 5.8kHz (medium)
8 -- Sibilance HF 9.2kHz (medium)
9 -- Impulse response 7.5kHz (very wide)
10 - Air 10kHz sloped all the way to 20kHz

Like other Hiby DAPs of late, R4 also has Parametric Equalizer. There are also plugins you can play with. Hiby sent me some samples to try, like soundstage enhancement and crossfeed. I know some of you like unaltered sound, but when it comes to software, you have got to respect Hiby.

Sound of Hiby R4

I have to be honest; for digital audio players, I value functionality more than sound, unless the device sounds straight up bad, and I’m happy to announce R4 doesn’t sound bad at all. It doesn’t have the sound of a flagship, of course, it doesn’t. But during my time testing it, I never felt like I’m missing something.
The Hiby R4 has a colorful and lively sound. You can say it’s slightly V-shaped. Bass is definitely emphasized, and by a big margin. Other than that, it doesn’t sound particularly harsh or glaring. Details and spaciousness aren’t top-notch, but more than enough unless you aren’t analyzing your music. Let’s move on to comparison for more context.

Comparisons

Hiby R4 vs. Hiby R6 Pro II

I know it’s not exactly fair, but the only comparable DAP I had in my hand at the time of the review was my R6 Pro II. Still, the R4 held its ground pretty well.
  • Bass is more impactful on R4.
  • R6 Pro II is more controlled and well-defined.
  • R4 is more colorful and vivid, just like a contrast-maxed TV. R6 Pro II’s rendition is more natural and effortless. Timbre is also better on R6 Pro II.
  • R6 Pro II has more air, feels more spacious, and separates better. R4 sounds a little blunted compared to that.
  • R6 Pro II is more detailed, which is no surprise. It keeps its composure during complex passages while R4 tumbles a little.

Hiby R4 vs. Fiio KA5

I assume a lot of people will be looking to buy R4 as their first DAP, so coming from a decent dongle, they might be wondering what they will gain, so I compared R4 to my FiiO KA5.
  • R4 has more body and note weight. KA5 sounds cleaner and has slightly better timbre.
  • KA5 has more sub-bass extension.
  • R4 has more energy and bite.
  • KA5 is slightly more airy. Details and spaciousness also feel slightly better on KA5.

Conclusion

The Hiby R4 gets my first full 5 stars. Not because it sounds much better than anything else, but because it does everything I care for right. It has a lively sound that you will enjoy when you are out and about. It has a cool design (Yes, EVA bias). It has great power and amplification. It uses a good processing chip and has a fast UI. It has sound customization and enhancement options like PEQ, MSEB, and plug-ins. And most importantly, it does all of this for only $249. So the verdict? I’m planning to buy a unit for myself later!

Have any of the devs ever provided insights on how individual spells get made? I don’t mean the different spell effects themselves, but instead I’m curious about targeting capabilities and spell schools.
Sometimes a removal spell will specify enemy minions, while other times it says any minion. Is there a balance reason for this or are there other factors considered? Is it to reduce the power level of Yogg/Tess type effects? Do some allow you to target friendly minions for the sake of fringe interactions? Is it to make some cards less wordy?
On a different note more concerned with “flavor,” how do the devs determine which spells get a school and which ones are plain? Is there a certain spell school quota to hit per expansion? In a set like Festival of Legends, something like Lightshow makes sense to me as Arcane, but Boogie Down makes no sense as a Holy spell in my opinion. Same for Whizbang’s Workshop where cards like Table Flip, Pop-Up Book, and Crafter’s Aura don’t feel like they should have schools.
Does anyone on this sub have concrete answers or even just their own speculation on the process? I’d love to learn more about Hearthstone’s game design and open up some conversations that aren’t about whatever decks are currently meta.

Hi everyone, I need some input here please--I'll try to keep this succinct but I will try to give additional details for context where needed. I'm pretty sure this dog I'm writing about (Bindi) is a border collie - if she's not, please share those thoughts too as they relate to this post.
There were a couple neighbor dogs who used to get out often, they'd come to my porch and hang out because I gave them treats and they liked my dog. The lady who owned the BC (one of the loose dogs) saw how much the dog liked me and my dog and talked to me one time, saying she was trying to leave her bf.
Well that day came this past Thursday, she knocked on my door and said can you take my dog, this is where she wants to be. I understand that abusers will hold kids and pets over a victim as a means to keep control over them, so I took the dog.
The lady said this dog used to be a PTSD service animal, but it's obvious she's been allowed to run loose too long that she's lost a lot of that training.
When she'd run loose in the neighborhood, she'd be reactive to other female dogs at times, growling or snapping at them (I'm thinking people-guarding), pretty viciously. She'd also growl at men--I'm thinking maybe this has to do with the home she just left.
So I brought the dog in Thursday evening 5/23, all was good. My two cats were not happy, but they tolerated her. Bindi (the new dog) has been around cats and doesn't chase them, although she's curious about them. I have a little 'cage' I made for my cat food, so they can eat in there--they can see out, but there's no openings big enough for the dogs to get their food. Bindi started to resource-guard their food--she'd just lay by the food and it would intimidate the cats. In the middle of the night, during one of her first nights, one of the cats went to eat food and startled her, she snapped at the cat, the cat hissed, I calmed everyone down, and calmly told Bindi that was a no-no, that was kitty food and you can't be doing that. I didn't yell at her, I just explained she couldn't do that. Since then, she has stopped laying by the cat food, so that was cool and it showed she's able/willing to learn.
Since Thursday, Bindi and my dog (GSD/Belgian/Husky mix - almost 3yo) have been having lots of fun playing. They play kind of rough, but they're similar in size, strength and play level so I haven't worried much, but I do keep an eye on them. This morning I was watching them play in the yard, they were about 10-15' in front of me. Well my dog must've caught her in a sensitive area when they were playing and she straight up attacked him. Went for the throat, took him down to the ground and was holding him there. I had to pull her off of him. He was ok, no broken skin, just shaken up. My dog has zero hostility in him, he's very much a lover and backs down from any confrontation. I again calmly told Bindi (kneeling down to her) and said you can't do that, she looked as if she did that as a reaction to something, not with malicious intent.
I don't know how old Bindi is and I think she has some health issues. Her hips are bad, she has an eye issue (swollen eyes, leaking clear liquid constantly for nearly the 1.5 years I've known her) and a pretty big lump on her head. We have a vet appointment 6/3, that was the soonest we could be seen.
So I don't know, given all these details, what are your thoughts about keeping her? I cannot have a dog that is prone to attacking, regardless of the reason behind it. If she attacks my dog again, that will be the last time and I'll have to rehome her. But otherwise, she seems like an amazing dog and she's an excellent playmate for my young boy. I just don't know. I had considered getting a second dog for that reason, but decided against it because of all the things that could go wrong. I was thinking of contacting a border collie rescue, she is a good dog and I know she's in a new situation and is trying to do good, but I'm concerned about these behavior issues. How much time do you give her to 'work on these issues'? Or is she showing enough red flags where I should consider a rescue who can possibly rehome her? I'm open to input of any kind. Hey there, i'm reasonably new to postgres/sql but i have some knowledge and a fair amount of general web knowledge. I cannot wrap my head around how to structure and code this database. It isn't for anything except learning but that doesnt matter. My aim is that they're are 3 states a human/user can be in
Now i am unsure how to do this. i am aware and can just have a single table called users with a column called roles with an enum of ['ADMIN', 'USER'] but i dont know how that works with RLS and it doesnt use the built in roles in sql.
At the moment i have 3 schemas (indent from schema is a table)
How can i have it so that
But using ROLE/ROLE GROUP/RLS in sql. I am using postgresjs as my connection tool for the backend in a next site. I am unsure if i would create a role for every single user signed up, and how i would switch between roles if the user signs in/out. And how would the system know that when a user signs up if they are staff/customers. Im not looking for a shortcut, i want to know the most secure and realistic industry used way of doing it. Any help would be appreciated, it would help me a lot in uni!! Thank you

I am using a plain Postgres url, no supabase or anything. Should there be 2 portals, one for users and one for staff or is there a way to do it singularly, i would prefer singulally. I also want to know for sure how to work with RLS. Row level security from what i can find uses an auth() method like auth().id but I don’t understand how it works and can’t find much documentation online.

Cryptographic safety for the AggLayer requires a novel solution. It’s called the pessimistic proof and it treats all chains suspiciously. Here’s how it works.

tl;dr
When a blockchain connects to the AggLayer, it joins many other chains in a single, unified bridge connected to Ethereum. This is already the case for OKX’s X Layer, Astar zkEVM, and Polygon zkEVM—with more coming soon.
A shared bridge allows users to seamlessly send and receive fungible assets between L2s, providing far better UX than third-party bridges, which result in users receiving wrapped synthetic versions of an asset on the destination chain, or multiple native bridges, which would impose delays of up to seven days (!) in the case of optimistic rollups.
But this solution comes with a novel problem: As the AggLayer expands to support different provers and consensus mechanisms, the chance of a soundness error rises. Without a proper safety mechanism, a malicious actor on one chain could potentially exploit the entire bridge.
The solution is what we’re calling the pessimistic proof, a novel zero-knowledge proof ensuring cryptographic safety for cross-chain transactions.
We call it pessimistic because the AggLayer assumes all chains are unreliable and can’t play nice with one another. With the pessimistic proof, one chain’s issues definitionally cannot contaminate the rest of the chains on the unified bridge.
Taking a pessimistic view of every individual chain ensures the collective safety of all chains.
(**Note**: The AggLayer does not extend security guarantees to any chain. Every chain connected to the AggLayer continues to use its existing finality mechanism. What the pessimistic proof ensures is cross-chain security for the entire aggregated blockchain network: A security issue on any one chain cannot drain deposits made to any other chain on the unified bridge.)
Let’s break down how pessimistic proofs work, both at a conceptual level, and in practice.

Tracking the state of the unified bridge

From the AggLayer’s perspective, the unified bridge is a big network of chains—a network that grows more complicated as more chains join.
To keep this network safe, the AggLayer needs a full view of all the transfers of assets and messages across the chains in order to guarantee a crucial piece of information: At no point can any chain withdraw more from the bridge than what has been deposited on the chain’s L1 contract.
The AggLayer is charged with checking three key pieces of information required to generate a pessimistic proof and make the above guarantee. These checks are:
  1. Chain updates have been done correctly;
  2. Chains have done their internal accounting correctly—meaning they didn’t try to withdraw tokens they didn’t have; and
  3. All of the chains together do all of the internal accounting together, correctly.
This is the AggLayer’s way of interrogating each chain to make sure it hasn’t tried to withdraw more from the bridge than has been deposited. In this way, a chain that can’t play nice with others is only a threat to itself—but not to the rest of the aggregated network.
In other words, if Chain A says it has 100 POL deposited on the bridge, the AggLayer keeps track to make sure it does not subsequently attempt to withdraw 200 POL, whether through equivocation or an exploit by some malicious actor.
So how does the AggLayer provide a ZK proof to the underlying L1 that guarantees no chain balance dips below zero?
And, importantly, how can this be done in a way that minimizes complexity so as to keep cost and latency low?

Leafs, exit roots, and Merkle trees

Here’s how the pessimistic proof ensures safety: Each chain connected to the AggLayer maintains a local exit tree, which tracks all withdrawals from that chain.
Using the root of each chain’s local exit tree, the AggLayer can build a global view of all withdrawals from all chains on the unified bridge; this is called the “global exit tree.”
In short, the AggLayer tracks two numbers, withdrawals and deposits, so that it can get a view of the current balance across all chains.
Because the global exit tree is committed to the L1, the AggLayer must know that all local exit trees are valid, too, to ensure that the next global exit tree is also valid.
In other words, the AggLayer needs to know that the cumulative state of all connected chains checks out.
To ensure this cryptographically, the AggLayer generates a pessimistic proof, which requires three inputs from each chain:
  1. The chain’s local exit tree, as of its most recent update
  2. The list of new withdrawals included in the current update
  3. The chain’s expected new local exit root
Using inputs 1 and 2, the AggLayer computes the new local exit root, compares it with the chain’s expected local exit root, and generates a proof that answers the question: Did the local exit root update properly?
Before committing a new global exit root to the L1, the AggLayer must also make sure that no chain is withdrawing more tokens than have been deposited to it. This is its way of interrogating each chain to make sure no chain is lying and trying to rug the unified bridge.
Using the pessimistic proof, the AggLayer is able to compute how many tokens of each type were withdrawn from each chain. These values are then summed across all chains, leaving a single view of the total balances available for each token on the AggLayer.
If any chain is found to have a negative balance, the AggLayer determines that the chain has attempted to withdraw tokens that were not deposited into it. Not good.
In that case, the chain’s update is invalid, and any pessimistic proof containing that chain’s invalid state cannot be verified on the L1. This prevents the offending chain’s update from settling to Ethereum—keeping the aggregated network safe.
So to sum up: The AggLayer scrutinizes all chain balances on the unified bridge and generates a cryptographic guarantee that no bad actors are draining the bridge. In the end, a prover generates a single, final pessimistic proof.
This is the AggLayer’s way of temporarily suspending pessimism. All chain updates were done correctly, and none of these updates resulted in negative balances for the unified bridge. OK, good to go.
By isolating bad actors, the AggLayer cryptographically guarantees the safety of funds flowing across the entire network.
