2024.05.29 01:17 Morningstar_Haji My Gf had a sexual thing with someone while we are in the talking stage

(Throwaway acc) Hi guys, just want to ask for your advice,
I met someone who has no boyfriend since birth and i maintained this idea that shes innocent as it can be, and i learned that while we were in a talking stage, she had met someone on a dating app, and the 2nd day they checked in in motel.
Now she says that she didnt give her virginity(which i believe) but the guy shes been with has taken her first kiss and went as far as giving him a blowj*b, but she refuses to go that further, we always have a hard time talking about this topic because she says she deeply regret that she has done that ( reminding you that we’re not in a relationship at that time) and it was just her curiosity that brought her that situation, and she regretted it as soon as they checked in a motel, she cries when she talks about it
What bothers me is, on the next day, we went on a date ( well as friends bcoz i havent confessed by that time) she said it like a week in our relationship when she agreed to be my gf, im her first bf and i took her Vcard ( it bleed a couple of times we did it idk if that means something) but i still cant shake the fact that she did that she met on a dating app, and not like even a week of knowing the guy, i just didnt picture her as that girl bcoz she is so innocent in all aspects of life, well she made it clear that she wasnt forced, and the guy instantly stops when she asked to stop, but she says she regrets everything because she knows to herself that its normalized in todays time, but its just isnt her, she said.
So what are your advice to me guys, its been pestering me for months, ask if you need any clarification, thanks!!

2024.05.29 01:17 theoriginalhth Getting there

Whatever I have and whatever happens to me either good or bad I earned. No one is immune to karma and no one is entitled to anything. Yeah I'm a little bit of a hypocrite but who isn't? I'm learning to not compare myself to others, not everyone is on the same path. Yes I miss being on my own and having more independence but I tried to do a lot on my own and I unfortunately became overwhelmed. I could of handled things better but I let my anxiety get the best of me and I wasn't giving it my all. For now I'm taking things slow and working towards not only getting back what I had before but something better as well. Luckily I now know for sure what I should and shouldn't do, like I want to live alone again but in the long run it's not a good idea. Either I'll find a roommate or get a pet, it's best for me to not be left alone stuck in my own head. Yeah some people might see me doing things the slow way as lazy but I don't want to rush into stuff again. Which was a big mistake because I'll admit that I wasn't ready to take on everything on my own. #blog

2024.05.29 01:16 kennysmithy Any women in the Madison area have a obgyn Rec!?

Hi I hope this is okay to post here lmao, I'll delete if not!
I moved to Madison from out of state to be a full time student and couldn't afford to go to a doctor bc my insurance had nothing in network here. I officially can now! I'm looking for a gyno in the area who is really progressive about women's health. Someone with a bubbly personality.
I had an appointment recently and it went so awkwardly. She almost seemed to be embarrassed but like, it's your job? Do vaginas make you uncomfortable ?? She also felt rushed. Idk maybe I said something weird? I just talked about athletics bc she asked. She would ask small talk questions and then not say anything in response for a while and then ask another small talk question, like she was crossing off things to say. It was so odd. She rushed out of the room and I didn't know if I was supposed to leave yet or not... I sat in the room for a minute or two and she happen to come back with a nurse and was surprised I was still there and she said "oh I forgot to tell you you could leave!" She didn't give me a goodbye or anything I was so confused!
My last gyno from my home town felt like a friend even though I only saw her once a year for a few years lol. She asked about my sex life, quality of sex, quality of my partner. Like they're necessary questions but it felt like girl talk and I loved it. Any recs?

2024.05.29 01:16 Ill_Remove_4253 Was it actually a true story?

So I've tried doing research and stuff but it's really difficult to find whether this was true or not. I actually have a few questions. If it is a true story, was the whole part about Jane Doe and them never actually knowing who she was real? Or did they actually find her real name? (Penny Lamb). I'm almost certain most of you know more than I do and I just want to understand stuff like that. Another question, I've seen pictures of the Saint Cassian Choir and those are like the cast? They arent actual pictures right? My number one question is: Is the ride the cyclone story real and can anyone give me information about it (and Jane doe) that I don't already know! Thank youuuu

I’d like to document our first date in a scrapbook. I don’t know how.
I’m in the process of making a gift for my boyfriend, today I made the first page which just focused on when and where we met.
I’d like to dedicate a page to our first date. We went ice skating in the evening, and we had a hot chocolate too. And after plenty of carpool karaoke, he drove me home.
I’ll insert a picture of the scrabooks first page to share the vibe/aesthetic I’m going for. But any advice on a cute way to portray an ice skating date around Christmas time would be very much appreciated!

2024.05.29 01:16 Fit-Name480 How can I manage my emotions right now?

Court date for inspection is tomorrow, my car was supposed to be fixed and inspected by these people, they “fixed” it, asked us to drive, and the car locked up on the road, had to be towed back to the place, they’re fucking closed. Now, i have to show up to court with nothing, and will probably get fined. I spent 500$ on the fix, and now will have another debt on me with this fine that I cannot pay because I’m broke from paying for college the prior semester. I have work tomorrow after the court house and have to ask my family to drop me off until my car situation gets fixed. I’m struggling in school and have a terrible GPA, my girlifend is the only thing mentally relieving me and she’s thousands of miles away. I work a new strenuous job that pays less than my piss easy job I got fired from.
I’m nowhere I want to be and it’s fucking aggravating. I was so livid today that I couldn’t even cry, I just mindlessly stare on the way home. Oh, I’m in Houston, my powers out at the house, I’m laying and typing in a hot house, waiting for the power to come back on.
Fuck me, I’m a loser. I’m 21 having these issues, when everyone around me has a pristine car, house of AC, my class has graduated this year and I’ve barely made it halfway through. I’m seriously the biggest loser I know, I’m alone and have no one except my love to keep me sane. If I were suicidal, god knows what I’d do to myself right now.
I feel incredibly low, I feel like a sorry excuse of a person and my life has continuously gone downhill for years. I have so much planned for myself and so many dreams tainted by the realities of my poverty and lack of intelligence and it’s crippling my heart. I don’t want to give up but I’m so angry at the world and at myself for my position. I’m nothing.
How? How can I genuinely lift myself from this home I’m in? This educationless lifeless hollow broke me that I’m living in? I want to regather myself and regulate my emotions and face life but everything I do isn’t enough. Everything I try just fails and I get hit with another debt, or another shit reality. What do I do?

2024.05.29 01:15 MammothDevelopment49 Seeking recommendations for trans friendly fertility clinic/doctor in the Northeast (CT/NY/MA area)

Hi everyone - my girlfriend (mtf f26) and I (cis f31) are in the very early stages of talking about trying to concieve (!!) and looking to set up a consult with a clinic and/or doctor who can give us some advice about what our options are (IUI, IVF etc).
I had a basic fertility workup (ultrasound and blood test) with a doctor who had pretty limited competency with trans women/lesbians. In addition to being rude, they didn't have info on things like what the success of IVF might be for me - someone who has no known fertility issues, what our options are relative to the amount of banked sperm she has, and what pausing HRT to bank more/conceive might entail (amongst other questions). We've done some research on this sub, but would love to also meet with a doctor who is trans/lesbian competent and can give us advice on options.
We are based in Connecticut but happy to travel to Boston or New York. Does anyone have a recommendation for a provider to consult with in the Northeast/New York/Connecticut/Boston/Massachusetts area?

2024.05.29 01:15 AnotherGhost00 Job: Swords for Camp

Isaac was excited for his biggest job yet. Apparently the camp was running low on swords, so he got himself set up for a full day in the forge. He restocked his mini fridge and snack drawers, and made sure to dress for the heat. He didn't mind being hot, but he still got sweaty after a certain point, just like everyone else. So he wore his orange camp shirt, bike shorts, and a pair of sandals. He noticed his curls were starting to get longer, flopping a little further over his goggles than before. He'd have to give himself a haircut soon if this kept up.
He popped open a can of coke (regular, he hated the low sugar stuff), and sipped from it while he drew up ideas for the new swords. The last thing Isaac wanted was to mass-produce a bunch of the same, so he spent several hours making every design completely unique, keeping in mind the traits of the different gods. For example, a child of Ares might prefer a longsword with a small boar's head at the end of the handle. A child of Aphrodite might want something more flowery. The Oneiroi kids might want a hilt styled like bat wings.
After thinking of a few different designs for each god, Isaac got to work. He spent the entire day in the forge, only leaving to use the bathroom. He glanced at the clock as he finished the last sword and wasn't terribly shocked to learn that it was 4am. It took him multiple trips to deliver all the swords to the armory, and by the time he was done, his legs were on fire and he was slightly out of breath. By the time he got back to his cabin, he was almost too exhausted to shower, but he forced himself to do it, and fell into bed feeling more exhausted than he ever had in his life.

THE CASE FOR OMEGA-3 SUPPLEMENTATION TO LOWER AGGRESSION

People who regularly eat fish or take fish oil supplements are getting omega-3 fatty acids, which play a critical role in brain function. Research has long shown a basis in the brain for aggressive and violent behavior, and that poor nutrition is a risk factor for behavior problems. Penn neurocriminologist Adrian Raine has for years been studying whether omega-3 supplementation could therefore reduce aggressive behavior, publishing five randomized controlled trials from different countries. He found significant effects but wanted to know whether these findings extended beyond his laboratory.

Their research is published in the journal Epidemiology & Infection. It is the first study to compare clusters of outbreaks of cryptosporidiosis to severe weather events in Aotearoa.

RESEARCHERS EVALUATE IMPACT OF NEW FILM’S MESSAGE ON CHILDREN’S AND ADULTS’ BODY IMAGE, SELF-COMPASSION

Unrealistic expectations about what our bodies should look like—whether from the media, friends or family—make adults and children of all ages more vulnerable to body dissatisfaction, eating disorders and other mental health challenges. In a new study published in Body Image, Flinders University experts assessing the program’s usefulness in classrooms highlight the potential for the film “Embrace Kids,” directed by 2023 Australian of the Year Taryn Brumfitt, to achieve large-scale improvements in body image

WHO SEEKS $7 BN WITH FUND-RAISING REVAMP

The World Health Organization launched Sunday a new financing mechanism that aims to raise $7 billion of funds that can be deployed more quickly and flexibly. The UN agency has traditionally relied on commitments from its 194 member states, but often these are apportioned to specific projects with several conditions attached, including deadlines that can prove too short. WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said commitment increases would contribute $4 billion to the agency’s budget of $11.1 billion over the four years through 2028. “The Investment Round aims to mobilize the

2024.05.29 01:14 NahIdWinBruhh Which type am I

Aye wsp how y’all doing ? I’m tryna figure out which one of those types could be the right one
I’m more likely to think that enfp or entp could be my type because I know that I got high Ne and it’s pretty unbalanced compared to my Si, which can lead me to be most of time unorganized, always improvising, changing goals so many times and struggling making a choice in the long term, being uncaring with my stuff and forgetting things like keys at home when I’m going outside, clumsy with my physical surroundings… I thought that infp or intp could have been my type since I’m living in my own head but in my opinion, I’m more balanced between my judging functions instead of my perception ones (which makes me think that Si might be my inferior function) then logically it eliminate both of those types.
My way of thinking : in a calm way in general, I do not stress easily and I’m able to keep my composure and being cool headed in certain situations, knowing that I would find by myself a solution to get out of all this whatever can happen, and I often do not ask for help because I feel like I’m the only one concerned about that, being convinced that I can solve this by myself, so I never talk about my problems to others.
Collaborating with other people who would like to impose their deadlines, their way of doing things, etc. is not what I prefer. There are some people who are good supervisors and can carry out projects I admit it but it's not for me because I want to be in full control of my stuff, I got my own methods that will get better with the time if I get more knowledge that will make me better. The problems with this is that I might procrastinate and being slow to start projects.
I don't really care if my feelings/values are validated or not by others and I find it difficult to know who I really am but I still have principles and a certain morality, it's still important. Some people reveal their secrets to me because they see me as a trustworthy man and I appreciate that a lot. I want to maintain a peaceful harmony in general, I’m just being cool and laidback with others and I’m barely even serious in general, a lot open minded. I can look aloof or nonchalant at times but that’s because like I said earlier, I’m a lot in my thoughts and imagination so it happens that I don’t give attention to the external world. I’m emotionally expressive and I don’t keep a stoic face, I’m making lot of jokes, sarcasm etc and humor is very important in my life. And of course I want to be validated and loved by others but for things like my looks and my behavior, I get a great satisfaction when I’m being loved and validated for my physics and personality but without going too far and turning into a people pleaser.
Oh btw if it can helps, my temperament is phlegmatic-sanguine (or reversed it depends lol)

2024.05.29 01:13 rubyyred 24 [f4m] #Ohio/online - looking for a new online crush :)

hi! figured i’d give this a try. in simple terms, i’m looking for connection. someone i can talk to day to day, learn everything about, share interests and fears and hobbies with, and someone who gets me excited to hear my phone buzz.
a little about me: i’m a 24 y/o college girl in Ohio. physically, i’m willing to send pictures cause it’s much easier than sitting here and trying to describe my features. hopefully you’re willing to share pictures as well.
i spend most of my time working or in class, but in my free time i love to binge tv shows or watch movies, try new foods, go on hikes, spend time outdoors, paint, and i’m 420 friendly so that’s my go-to when i wanna just sit back and relax.
preferably i would like to talk to a guy around my age or older as that’s what i’m most interested in romantically, but i’m bisexual so don’t be turned off if you’re a woman! my goal here is to just try my luck and see what’s out there, and hopefully something fun can come of it :)
if anything i’ve written in this wall of text interests you, please send me a message telling me your name, age, location, and a picture of yourself! i like to see who i’m talking to.

2024.05.29 01:13 BrilliantAny5860 2 things which made a difference

  1. PA got diagnosed and medicated for ADHD at the same time as giving up P. He hasn't had any problems with urges to go back. I think that's because the dopamine chasing from P wasn't needed due to the meds.
He had also given up red wine. Only read today red wine increases sexual desire (damn shame I never did 😆).
  1. My emotions were all over before, during and post s3x. Though that intimacy was what I craved over our relationship and during the 5 years where we had NO s3x I realised I was losing myself due to all my negative thoughts.
So I stopped s3x a few weeks ago. He understood and he's not going to die from no s3x or masturbation (even if he felt he would previously).
That space has allowed me to find myself. I'm no longer a jumble of raging emotions due to it. I can look clearly at the abuse over the years and see him for who he is and not what I want him to be.
I know what is valuable to me. What's important and I've stopped focusing on his needs when he falls into his pit of shame. We are adults, we can manage to pull ourselves up in healthy ways.
I dont know what the future holds. I know the future I dreamed of will never be reality, it was and will remain a fantasy. Even if he acted the way I dreamed of, he is tainted with 100,000s of naked women, PMO, NSFW, EAs etc. He can never be the man I wanted or needed. He was "clean" 33 years ago. He sullied himself in my eyes over 23 years of never ending escalation and use. You can't scrub that away. I also find a 56 year old man PMO to 20 year olds perverted. These ate women 6 years younger than our youngest daughter, 12 years younger than our eldest daughter. To me people younger than our children are babies in my eyes. They would never be something I'd fantasy over. It's wrong on so many levels. Honestly I don't know who I have lived with all these years. I am finally accepting a reality I never wanted, a life consumed by his P, neglected and abused like a frog in boiling water but I am facing it head on. Everything that was of value to me has been tainted with his PA. His choice not mine.

2024.05.29 01:13 Nervous_Track_1393 Convenience or luxury and last travel day question

Two part question as I am trying to finalize our itinerary.
Will be in Japan toward the end of November (Thanksgiving) with family (2 young teens). We will have four nights in the Kansai region.
First night will be at Momijiya Honkan Takao Sansou Ryokan. Still trying to figure out exactly what we booked, but excited about it. Hoping the timing will be good to still see some colorful leaves.
Then we have three nights in either Kyoto or Osaka to explore the area. Option one is MIMARU SUITES KYOTO CENTRAL, which I gather will be great for exploring the Kyoto area and for a day trip to Nara and/or Osaka. It sounds like this suits property is well reviewed and should give us plenty of space (for Japanese standards), but will be a relatively low frills, very functional base to stay at (which I am totally ok with, we have something similar for our stay in Tokyo, and I assume we will be out exploring most of the time anyway).
BUT, I also got a decent rate for two rooms at the St. Regis Osaka, which is of course a completely different type of lodging. The difference is about $2K at Mimaru vs $3K at the St Regis. Now the location of the St Regis doesn't look that convenient, especially if we want to go to Kyoto. We are not interested in USJ, and probably won't spend more than half a day on shopping or other commercial activities (fingers crossed). Mostly there to see the history, culture, architecture, and some nature stuff (so museums, temples, castles, etc.) and eat good food.
I was lucky enough to be able to stay at a few St Regis properties in the US (where rooms can easily go for more than $1K/night, so $3K for two rooms for 3 nights seems like a good deal), so I thought, while a bit less convenient for sight seeing, it would be great for my family to have a few nights in a luxury hotel. The reviews seem to suggest it is a bit dated and below US standards, so I am pondering which one of those options to go with. I know ultimately we will have to decide if we are more interested in the convenient base in Kyoto, or the less convenient but more lux stay in Osaka. Any insights or thoughts would be appreciated though, especially if you have experience with either location and/or property.
Secondly, our return is from Narita in the early evening (6pm). We will be coming from Kansai the night before.
I thought about three options, and would like some input. 1. stay in Kansai and travel to Narita the day of the flight. If I would travel by myself, this is probably what I would do, but my wife is probably going to get a bit stressed with having to cover a considerable distance in one day. Wondering, how doable it is to reliably get to airport by 3 pm the day of our flight? Also, would they send our luggage directly to Narita Airport from our Kansai location? I assume we should send it the day before? 2. stay in Tokyo for one night and travel from Tokyo to Narita on the day of our flight. This seems to be the least logical option, since there won't really be enough time to do anything in Tokyo as we will travel there the day before and then have to check out the day of our flight? 3. stay in Narita the night before. We spend the day before traveling to Narita, and can then explore Narita the day of our departure a little (Omotesando, Naritasan Shinsho-ji, etc.) before heading to the airport. Not sure if that this doable or worth it instead of an additional day in Kansai? Any opinions?
Thank you so much for your input.

Delulu
How this hun sells hair products is beyond me. She honestly has some of the worst hair I’ve seen for a Monat hun. The initial photos are her (most likely) dirty hair doing an oil treatment so at the end I included a photo where she supposedly has good clean and styled hair, to be fair and give a more accurate picture.
Also the packaging is not “luxe”, it’s a white and purple box 🙄

2024.05.29 01:12 New-Proposal-5158 Scary Street photography moment

Well maybe only scary because it was in Texas where everyone has guns. I was in Austin over the weekend with my wife celebrating our 10th anniversary. We were on Hainey street and a large group of 20-25ish year old women exited a bar. I had my Q2 and was fiddling with the aperture ring when this middle aged (you guessed it) white woman ran up to me yelling "STOP TAKING PICTURES OF THOSE GIRLS". I hadn't. I showed her the pictures on my camera, skyline shots primarily but she wouldn't let up. My wife came over and started yelling at her too and then I got mad and said "It's not even illegal so get out of my face!". I know this is minor league compared to others, but I live in SoCal and have taken street photos forever without a single incident. So just a little shocked!

2024.05.29 01:12 Ok_Conversation_9737 Tired of the corporate toxicity

I work at a restaurant currently, it sucks. I have a master's degree in Human Resource Management and I'm desperately trying to get out of the restaurant business but for now I need whatever job will pay at least most of my bills while I continue to look.
We had a great general manager. She was kind and listened to us and took feedback. She was positive and would work with us on schedules and would always boost us up and acknowledge everything we did that was good and she would compliment our hard work. Our assistant manager was just like her and it made a shitty job a lot better.
Corporate fired our GM because she was too positive and it was "toxic". They wanted her to basically constantly harp on any small mistake we ever made, harshly discipline us using draconian rules and policies, and to rule with a heavy fist. Our assistant manager quit immediately after finding out, and this is after our opening manager was fired a week before. She was also a delight to work with.
Morale is awful. Corporate is there every day now and nitpicking everything. They have racist uniform policies, (edit to add, people with long hair are only allowed to wear it one specific way which is not possible for people with long dreadlocks or other protective styles) nobody is brave enough to challenge them, they nitpick everything. Women's makeup is scrutinized, our jewelry, (not for food safety reasons either, it's for conservative reasons) they even check our socks to make sure they are black even if nobody can see them under our pants legs. They have even sent notices about how we need to wear certain undergarments so they are staring at the women's chests and crotchs and butts. This is a freaking fast casual place similar to chipotle.
They make policies that are NOT workable in a restaurant and then complain and berate us when they don't work. We can do $12,000 in business in one day, have 10 customers rave about how amazing the service was in our online surveys and 1 customer complains they were missing a 35 cent sauce cup and the ONLY focus is how we screwed up horribly because of the sauce cup. Only 5 star reviews count, anything under 5 is counted as a 0.
Now they are cracking down on the attendence policy and it's ridiculous.
2-15 minutes late is 2 points
Over 5 minutes late is 5 points
Proper call offs with excused absences are 5 points
Improper call offs are 10 points
A "proper" call off means you offer up your shift on the app, and calling the store at LEAST 4 hours before your shift starts. So if you have an emergency and call off 3 hours before or you wake up sick and are an opener so you can only call off 2 hours before your shift, it's 10 points.
If you're sick and have a doctor's note and call of properly it's 5 points.
15 points is a verbal warning
20 points is a coaching and write up
Anything over 20 points you're fired.
So if you're sick with the flu and have a doctor's note too bad you're fired if you take 4 days off.
You can knock points off however! If you pick up someone else's shift, that knocks off 2 points. If you come in early or stay late at the request of a manager (not on your own!) it takes off 1 point. Heavy eye roll.
Every 12 weeks the points are reset. But any verbal warnings or write ups stay on your record.
And they encourage everyone to come to work sick with signs everywhere saying if you are sick with (any contagious symptom including vomiting and diarrhea) to come in and speak with your manager that day so you can be placed in a position where you're not directly handling food such as register or dish.
I hate it here. Good ol USA where it's normal to give no sick leave and then punish people and even fire them if they do get sick.

2024.05.29 01:12 ZoneRevolutionary538 [Mobile] [2006-????] Cover-Based shooter where you fend off waves of soldiers and buy upgrades.

Hi. I cannot remember enough about this game to warrant a description of it with words, but the most I can do is give very (very) rough sketches of what I remember. I hope these can suffice. The gameplay loop (how I remembered it at least) consisted of killing enemies by alternating cover to avoid projectiles (when you tapped you shot, and when you weren't shooting, you crouched behind cover) and then using an upgrades screen at the end of waves to buy upgrades and weapons with occasional bosses. Does anyone know the name of this game? Pictured are sketches of the main gameplay (1st image) and the upgrade screen (2nd image)

2024.05.29 01:12 kaleviko [All] That stuff kicked

In P4, Cole had a quick sit-down with Denise. He defended his decision to involve Agent Tammy Preston in the investigation.
Cole: "Agent Tammy Preston has the stuff, Denise."
As usual, this didn't sound like that important to think about. Later in P13, Bobby went to get dinner in RR Diner. He told Ed and Norma they got some stuff, too.
Ed: "What's new, Deputy?" Bobby: "Oh, well, we, uh, found some stuff that my dad left today."
Earlier in P9, the deputies opened a small metal tube left behind by Bobby's father, Major Briggs, revealing cryptic instructions. Ed suggested we needed to give this a good thought.
Ed: "What kind of stuff?"
A kind of stuff is private property. Another word for that is possession. Another kind of possession is a supernatural event when an intrusive spirit dominates another being, something that Twin Peaks has been all about. Going forward, let's keep this in mind.
If it was necessary to figure out the "stuff" to make sense of the plot, Tammy would have had something which was equal to what the Major had left for the deputies. The most personal scene of her otherwise detached character was in P5. She was sitting by herself in her cubicle, going through some stuff. Maybe the stuff we needed to find was somewhere there. Among other stuff.
Connecting to what the deputies found from inside the metal tube was Tammy holding two pictures of Cooper. Left, she had a picture of the young agent in his fancy FBI suit. Right, she had the picture of Cooper's aged doppelganger.
We had seen the same doppelganger picture already an episode earlier when the FBI visited Yankton Federal Prison. Inspector Randy Hollister displayed the picture on a large screen, along with all sort of chaotic information about Cooper.
Two Coopers, one with 66.
The scale next to Mr C's head gave his height as 75 inches, 6"3, which could not possibly have been correct. The inconsistency may have suggested there was something in that scale we needed to notice. In the middle of his head, there was a black line pointing to number 66. That was also included in a closeup of the mugshot that was shown when the FBI went to interview the detained man.
Another kind of two Coopers were on the second slip of paper that the deputies recovered from the tube. Written in the middle of it, there was the text, "COOPECOOPER". So as not to miss the idea here, Hawk spelled it out for us.
Hawk: "Two Coopers!"
Next to the right-side COOPER, there was number 66, connecting it to the doppelganger's picture both on the prison's screen and in Tammy's right hand.
All doppelgangers that we saw in the Black Lodge appeared as a kind of one-trick ponies that clearly were not capable of any meaningful operation on their own. This also applied to Cooper's doppelganger. When he made an entry in the season 2 finale, he struggled to even get the curtains open. But all of a sudden, the doppelganger turned into a completely controlled being with a clear plan and a purpose.
Earle got the stuff first.
As BOB had moments before taken Windom Earle's soul from his old body, we probably needed to put these things together so that what happened was BOB possessing the mindless doppelganger with Earle's spirit. Without the possession, the doppelganger would have been useless, but now its plan was likely the Earle's plan. Another kind of possession being stuff, like discussed, we'd start to get an understanding what having this specific stuff would have been all about.
This then takes us to P6 when Richard Horne had an early morning meeting with a nameless newcomer credited as the color Red. When the scene at the sawmill started, Richard was consuming something, off screen. We assumed he had taken some kind of drug, but whatever it was, a moment later it started to have an impact on him.
Richard: "Shit. Oh, tha ... this stuff kicks!"
As the scene progressed, Richard had increasing troubles with reality, as if he was moving towards some kind of climactic moment. Even if the scene cut before that happened, some magic was already dripping through to the world when Red's coin stopped respecting the laws of nature.
Richard got kicked by the stuff.
Much later in P15, Richard held Mr C at gunpoint in front of the Convenience Store. Effortlessly, the doppelganger took the gun from his hand, hit him in the face and then gave him a nasty kicking as he was lying on the ground.
This stuff kicks. Richard also got a kicking from Cooper's doppelganger. What was really happening to him in that warehouse?
Before Richard got beaten, he talked about his mother.
Richard: "You're FBI." Mr C: "How do you figure that?" Richard: "'Cause I seen your picture in your fancy FBI suit."
Going back to Red, just as Richard felt the "stuff" kicking him, Red gave him one of his confusing remarks.
Red: "Have you ever studied your hand?"
Study the hands.
These lines would find their purpose in P5 when Tammy Preston was watching the old photograph of Cooper in his fancy FBI suit. The scene started with a closeup of her holding the picture. Something was wrong, though, as the hands clearly were not her hands that we got a good close-up of later in P7. They might have been Richard's hands, with a suggestion this was the very photograph he was talking about.
That this was the intended approach was further implied by Tammy keenly studying doppelganger's fingerprints - that is, his hands. This way, Richard and his "stuff" would also lead to two Coopers.
These observations would now give their own kind of wild explanation to an earlier baffling idea that the scene between Red and Richard actually continued in P2, with Red now as Jack the garageman and Richard having turned into Mr C, ready to get going with the black Lincoln Town Car and apparently about to kill Jack next.
Richard's abrupt change would have been possible because the "stuff" that he had taken was Cooper's doppelganger, literally transforming him into Mr C. While Richard and Red talked, the younger man would have gradually disconnected from his present reality and drifted to another world where he would possess the doppelganger. Everything else would have changed as well, with Red turning into Jack and his expensive Rolex into the 2015 Mercedes-Benz S 550 Coupé he had in the garage, the apparent counterpart for the sawmill warehouse.
If this was figured out as intended, at certain points in the story, both Tammy and Sheriff Truman had the doppelganger in their possession, respectively, she as a photograph and him as a name on a piece of paper, with Lynch's storytelling again abstracting characters and concepts to the extreme. This would align with an earlier conclusion that both Red and the Sheriff were the same character - ultimately none other than Phillip Jeffries - explaining how Red got the doppelganger he seems to have then given to Richard for a ride, for whatever hidden reason that then was. At that point, it would naturally have been vacated of Windom Earle, this or that way.
How about Tammy and her "stuff" then? She would also have had Cooper's doppelganger right there with her in the cubicle, suggesting her character was more than an FBI agent. Perhaps she got a taste of him as well, implied by the scene ending with her lifting her right hand to her mouth that after a cut inconsistently changed to her left hand.
Or, perhaps she suddenly started to feel a bit carsick and would soon need both of her hands over her mouth.

Starting my tree project on this wasteground
Hello! I am the one who made this post last week https://www.reddit.com/GuerrillaGardening/s/9W6Qo1uC18
This is the wasteground behind my house, it leads into a community park, but no one ever goes to this paticular area. As you can see there has already been a lot of natural growth over the years, even some little oak trees sprouting! It amazes me how fast nature has reclaimed this area.
My plan is to plant a few native trees, bought from the woodland trust to give it a head start. Hazel, crab apple, Hawthorn, wild cherries etc. I would love to make an area for some wildflowers too.
The soil is very poor however, so I'm not sure how well my trees will take.
My dream is for this to be a place where both people and wildlife can forage for local nuts, seeds and fruits. There are already a huge amount of wild brambles with blackberries growing (although kind of annoyingly growing into my garden too)

2024.05.29 01:11 nRz_DC My Take on XD

So I have played everyday since launch accumulating a lot of hours. Here’s just a take on the game keeping in mind upcoming nerfs and patches. This maybe a lengthy post but bear with me.
Ok here we go.
Factions:
I like the idea of factions but there should be some checks/balances/counters that should be done.
Echelon are by far are the best faction in the game bar none. With their passive being off minimap completely so no need for the suppressor and an intel suit that pings 5 times in 15 seconds. Changes that I would like to see would be would be their passive switched to be more in line with the light suppressor 24 yard visibility and .5 secs so if they’re close and get a kill or shoot you have a ping on map to gather some knowledge. The intel suit should only ping 2-3 times thus limiting the spam. Also feel like if I’m running Echelon they should counter the intel by not being able to be pinged during the scan. So you could ping other factions but not have knowledge of the whereabouts of the enemy Echelon.
Cleaners are good only one thing should be changed and that’s firebomb. Since it’s more of a kamikaze thing it should be a risk to using it like a death if you’re running and using the ability to clear a point or whatever. That would be your risk/reward scenario like hey you got a kill or two but you blew up in the process and if you didn’t get the kill then that’s the risk.
Phantoms Mag Barrier some say it’s overpowered but it’s actually not they already have counters in place like an emp grenade or a hack from DedSec.
DedSec I would actually say the hack ability needs to refresh slightly quicker to be able to counter Mag Barrier to make them think about continuously throwing it out. As for the infamous spider bot ability it definitely needs to be tweaked as for the range of it. It should track across the map to face huh someone the radius should be slightly lowered.
Libertad the healers need a buff as far as the BioVida is concerned it should definitely give more health to nearby teammates quicker and for a little longer. El Remedio is just fine nothing needs to be changed about that.
Gunplay:
The gunplay is really smooth and satisfying. It gives old CoD 4 MW2 vibes which were great in that department with a little more recoil management needed. I like the guns in as well and know that there will be more added to the game.
Snipers:
So with the news of patches like sniper tweaks/nerfs is a good thing because no one should get shot at get hit and still be able to take a shot. I feel like they should add descope when hit as well this would bring snipers into balance. Making a sniper actually have to be back out of the action not running and gunning as it is now especially with the dang Tac-50.
Overall the game is headed in the right direction take in mind this is preseason. So if the changes they are working on are in before Season 1 and more tweaks/balancing added moving forward this game has staying power.

2024.05.29 01:11 Aromatic-Diamond-424 AIW for resenting my mom and brother?

So I (40F) recently had to move back into my childhood home with my mom (70). This is the first time I’ve ever had to do this since I left Home to decades ago. Coincidentally, my brother (42) also had to move back home due to a medical issue. Oh, joy.
I wish I didn't have to be here bc I feel it's now changed the way I feel about them. Unlike me, my brother comes back here to live once every couple of years and stays for a few years then leaves again. He hasn't paid a bill here in decades. When he's asked to contribute, gets annoyed. He's argumentative and pretty selfish. I used to look up to him so much, but now I can't unsee how he is. My mom used to call me and complain but to see it in action...wow. I've gotten into two arguments with him since I've been back here like we're in high school. It's ridiculous. My mom complains but then they're chumming it up hours later. It's bizarre.
On Saturday I was leaving the house and noticed we'd run out of toilet tissue. (I dont spend alot of time here if I can help it), but assumed someone would get some since they would be in the house all day. I didn't get back until midnight that night. Go to use the bathroom. No tissue. WTF? There's a store three minutes walking from here and my brother just sat on his ass watching TV and couldn't be bothered, I guess. Not even to help out his elderly mother. I certainly didn't expect my mom to go. So I guess they were using paper towels all day? Next day I'm up and outta here at like 8am. I come back around 10p. Again, no tissue. STILL. I was fkn floored, and pissed. I put my shoes on and get ready to head out to the store (after a long fkn day mind you while everyone else is chilling) and now it's, "Oh, while you're at the store, can you get this, get that?" Why wait until I get home?
My brother often calls me while I'm out and says, "Can you bring me back___? I'll give u the money." I never get the money, so I stopped. My mom sits in her room all day in the literal dark (blinds drawn with a blanket over that) watching TV. She only comes out to pee and cook food for herself two or three times a day. But she's not depressed, she says. Idk what most people in their 70s do, but sitting in front of the TV like a zombie doesn't seem like a way to go out, especially when she's relatively healthy and mobile. She asks me to pay her rent out of my bank account (she gives me the money), or asks me to go to the post office to get her a money order instead of opening a checking account. I didn't mind at first, but after a year of doing this, it's inconvenient now because my plate is full and I dont need not one more task. I told her to open an account bc it’s inconvenient. She says no bc some company overdrew her account one time.
My brother complains about his health all day and sits on the couch smoking weed (against dr's recommendation), sniffing and swallowing snot, and burping every three minutes. Literally. He routinely calls my ex for rides, knowing that man broke my heart and disappointed me so much and is not the person he represented himself to be. For all he knows, the man beat my ass (he didn't) and he's riding around cackling with him like buddies. Thing is, he doesn't want to know because then he'd have to choose me over the convenience of having free rides (he doesn't drive). So screw me, I guess. And he lies when he knows my ex is coming and says "Oh, my ride is here", purposely not saying his name thinking I don't know who's picking him up.‘I think my ex does it to make himself look good bc he knows he’s a POS.
I lent my brother money when I was having my own troubles and it took him a year to pay me back when he said I'd have it “by Friday." I dropped everything and flew across the country on my dollar when he had to have emergency surgery right in the middle of my move to make sure he wasn't alone. I don't expect anything, but maybe some respect for my feelings, some consideration. He actually asked me to put money on his cash card at CVS because he doesn't want to open an account because child support will take the money. He’s asked me to hold money in my account so he doesn’t spend it. I used to acommodate him here and there but now I don’t do shit bc this is not normal. He disgusts me now.
The windows don't open in the bedroom I'm sleeping in, which is full of my brother's shit he brought back with him when he moved bk. My mom won't call anyone to fix them because "I don't like the way the house looks and I don't want people in here." I have two feet of walking space in the room. Not kidding. So I sleep amongst boxes and bullshit with no ventilation.
The house itself is mostly dark even during the day because heat rises and the house stays cooler if you block the sun, Mom says. So no natural sunlight. She actually asked me to paint her kitchen, which I know how to do, but there's a whole 6 ft 5 man sitting on his ass in your living room, Mom. Why not ask him? I am a divorced mother of two; one of my children is autistic and he's having mental health issues now caused by Lyme disease. His dad and I are trying to keep him from killing himself. I have no home of my own, a broken heart and soul, no real money to speak of (spent on treatments insurance wont cover and therapies), and I have to deal with the negative energy of living here with lazy depressed people who don't seem to care if I'm comfortable or not.
Am I crazy? Am I wrong? I'm in such a stressful state right now, I can't tell if I am. But this feels fkd and weird and dysfunctional.
I don’t understand how they care so little about...so little. I feel bad for feeling negatively about my family. It wasn't this way growing up. Gotta go, they're bickering again. And I need to grab my headphones to cancel out the constant burping and snorting.
