A new super mutant X gene, known as The Catalyst, began to spread across the city, unleashing a wave of transformations that would soon ripple far beyond its borders. The Lokelani family’s life was a delicate balance; some days were better than others, and the struggle to make ends meet was a familiar one. Yet, despite their hardships, their home was a haven of love and resilience.
From a tender age, Leilani felt an inexplicable draw to the ocean. Her parents would often take her for walks along Pua Ka’ilima Beach, a secluded spot where they could watch sea turtles hatch and surfers conquer the waves. These moments by the sea filled Leilani with a sense of peace and wonder, sparking a deep connection with the water that only grew stronger with time.
The Lokelanis lived in a modest house they had built themselves. It was far from perfect, but it was imbued with the warmth and affection that made it a true home. The community rallied around them, sharing food and resources whenever they could. Leilani often helped out on the farms of their neighbors, and in return, they supported her family in times of need. Donations from organizations like Toys for Tots provided her with simple joys, even in the leanest times.
One night, as Leilani lay in bed listening to the distant roar of the ocean, something extraordinary happened. A wave of energy surged through her, a sensation unlike anything she had ever experienced. The Catalyst had found her. When she awoke, she felt different, imbued with a newfound power she could barely comprehend.
Tentatively, Leilani walked to the beach, her heart pounding with anticipation and fear. As she stepped onto the water, she found herself standing atop it, her feet barely wet. She could feel the ocean beneath her, as if it were an extension of her own body. With a tentative movement, she willed the water to rise, and it obeyed, lifting her above the waves. Leilani was no longer just a girl drawn to the sea; she had become one with it.
Word of her incredible abilities spread quickly through the community. Leilani’s power to control the water, to walk on it and ride the waves effortlessly, made her a local legend. She embraced her new identity, becoming known as The Sea Surfer. She continued to be a part of her Girl Scouts troop, now using her unique talents to help sell cookies to tourists, who were captivated by the young girl with the extraordinary gift.
Leilani’s powers brought her family a newfound sense of hope and possibility. They no longer had to worry about the constant struggle to make ends meet, as her abilities drew curious visitors and support from all over the island. The community, once bound by shared hardship, now found itself united in awe and pride for their very own superhero.
But with great power came great responsibility. As The Catalyst continued to spread, it became clear that Leilani was not alone. Other mutants began to emerge, some using their powers for good, while others sought to exploit them for personal gain. First off, it was a wonderful experience! I enjoyed the vibes, the music, the people just all of it MWAH! I felt like the music was well paced for the most part and I enjoyed the openers! Here’s my in depth review of the vip lounge for anyone who’s curious! (Yes I did spend $600 😭 but for nature of this tour, I’d say it’s worth it to hear these songs live and get some cute collectibles)

• To start, I got there at 3pm and was let in at 4. They scanned us in, checked our bags/tickets then we were given our merch packs which included:

1 tote bag 1 metal mug 1 collectible figure 1 signed poster 1 vip laminate 1 perfume sample sheet
Things to note were that the poster is smaller than last years’ tour but the quality was better. The tote bag is bigger and better quality. I wasn’t expecting the perfume samples so that was a pleasant surprise, although it’s more like the samples you’d get in a magazine.

• Next we were lead to the lounge area! It was very calm and serene. There were couches at my venue as well as the floor seating area. They did fill up fast but there was also more things to do besides the sitting area so you would find a seat eventually.

The museum was cool, lots of props from all the music videos! I took lots of pictures. As for the snacks, there were:
Moss cookies - chocolate cookie with coconut on top No rating since I didn’t try it, but I heard it was okay.
Sugar cookies - basic sugar cookie with crunchy icing 4/5 typical cookie but I like them so it was my favorite
Strawberry parfaits - thick vanilla yogurt with strawberries and a graham cracker crust topped with a pretzel 3/5 it was pretty good, would have been better if more cold
Gummy candies
Rose Lemonade 2/5 - it didn’t have much sugar in it, so it was very tart and watery
Horchata 1/5 - unfortunately all the drinks were watered down since the ice melted and the horchata just tasted extremely watered down. It also did taste like it had almond milk instead? It was bland.
Overall the food was okay, I did wish they would have had ingredients listed more openly since people might have had allergies. It was fun to sit down and trade with people but the snacks were meh.
There was a mini doll house craft as well as the sticker sheets. It seemed like there was enough for everyone.

• After this around 5pm, we were lead to merch. The tables had most of the merch but there was also a truck outside that had the dress and the bunny hats that people were looking for. The truck was only accessible outside and was on the other side of the building from where the VIP line was. So a lot of people didn’t get to go to the truck before being let in, and once you left you couldn’t go back in so everyone had to wait until after the show. Given that we had early access to the merch, it sucked for some that they had to wait until after when everyone had access. This could have just been a Philly thing. If you didn’t get back to the lounge by 5:30 then you couldn’t go back in. So we all just stood around.
  
• A little after 6 we were let into the stadium to our seats. I don’t remember exactly when the openers started but I LOVED both of them.
  

Melanie came on about 8:30 ish and ended closer to 11pm! The show was energetic and entertaining! Lots of moving props and lots of fire and fireworks, especially for portals. There were bubbles and balloons too at some points! It was an electric experience!
All in all, if you want more of a fancier experience and want to be let in early, the vip was worth it!

Introduction:

Hello, Hello everyone! I hope yall are doing good, and a Happy Pride Month to any and all who celebrate it. With a new month, comes a new challenge, and this one was right up my alley. Some of you will remember this concept from a couple of weeks ago, when it was a mere rough concept, but after taking feedback and seeing this month's challenge, I have fully ironed it all out. This is also the first time I have designed a Support Champion instead of a Carry or Bruiser style, and as you can probably tell from my submission history, I love making Mechanically Complex and Unique Champions. A Mechanically Complex/Unique Support was difficult for me, but as I mentioned, I got a lot of good feedback from people, and was able to create O'Rin, Lady of Butterflies
O'Rin is an Ionian, Vastaya that is supposed to be a mix of Battle Mage (or Warlock as I like to call them) and Enchanter, similar to Karma in that intrinsically she is a Support Champion that needs to be with an Ally in order to function, however she provides extreme amounts of Battlefield Utility and Damage, in this case through her Butterflies. Unlike Karma however, O'Rin is almost firmly set as a Bot LaneSupport Champion because her abilities revolve and rely on her allies. She could be a Mid Laner, in conjunction with a very tempo-oriented or Snowballing style Jungler, however she has very little tools in her kit that this would require, namely waveclear, consistent damage abilities and Lane Pressure of her own. On the other hand, just like Karma, O'Rin is designed to forego the traditional Support Items, barring World Atlas and maybe Imperial Mandate, in favor of AP Items as she scale incredibly well with Raw AP and Mage items in general. I foresee her Core build being World Atlas (Zak'Zak's Realmspike) > Imperial Mandate > Rabadan's Deathcap > Banshees's Veil/Cosmic Drive/etc in order to maximize the AP that she can get to turbocharge not only her Butterflies but also her abilities, especially considering that the abilities come with decently long cooldowns.
As to how she support's her Allies, O'Rin provides devastatingly powerful effects at the cost of long Cooldowns and Conditional Activation that relies on her teammates. She is very clearly designed to work in Higher Elos with Higher Skill pilots, however she provides a vast array of tools within her kit. The Butterflies on their own provide True Damage, Nearsighting. Crowd Control Amplification, Executes, %Max Health Burn Damage, Damage Amplification and Healing. Of course you cannot access these effects at the same time, but similar to Viego, participating in a Takedown Chain will allow you to rapidly cycle between effects of your choosing, allowing you to rapidly inflict whatever effects you want while in the middle of combat. In addition, her actual abilities provide Knock backs, Stuns, Heals, Shields, and of course work with her butterflies, creating a very potent Support Champion, at the cost of being incredibly squishy, incredibly complex and incredibly team reliant. More specific detail will be talked about in the Analysis Section below.

Abilities:

Passive: Butterfly Swarm:
O'Rin has a swarm of 3 Butterflies surrounding her, increasing by 1 when she reached Level 6, 11 and 16. Damaging Abilities and Applying Crowd Control send a Butterfly with a Unique Effect to that enemy. Healing or Shielding an Ally will instead send a Butterfly to them, empowering them to send a Butterfly of their own via the same conditions. Butterflies will stay with Allies for 15 seconds, before returning to O'Rin. If an Ally dies while bonded to a Butterfly, the Butterfly will immediately return to O'Rin.
Enemies can only be affected by a Butterfly' sent from the same Host every 10 seconds, unless Monarch's Ascension is used, Once a Butterfly has applied its' effects, it takes 1-5 Seconds, depending on distance from O'Rin, to return to her, and it cannot be sent to an enemy or ally until it is fed again.
O'Rin's Butterflies apply Unique Effects, depending on what plant O'Rin has fed them. Once all of O'Rin's Butterflies have been sent to an Enemy and returned, they must be fed again for the next 1.5 seconds, during which they are unable to be sent to an Enemy or Ally. O'Rin can choose what plant to feed them, to change what effect they apply:
White Lotus: Butterflies will deal an additional 12.5% Current Health True Damage to their Target
Black Nightshade: Butterflies will Nearsight Enemies and reduce their Movement Speed by 50% for 3 seconds. Additionally, the duration of any Crowd Control Effects applied within this time is amplified by 50%
Green Hemlock: Butterflies will Execute target Enemies if they fall below 7.5% Max Health. This effect will apply up to 1.5 seconds after the Butterfly lands on a target.
Red Wisteria: Butterflies will burn Enemies for 7.5% Max Health Magic Damage over 3 seconds
Blue Jasmine: Butterflies will deal an additional 40 + 20% Bonus AP Magic Damage to the target, and heal O'Rin or the ally which they where bonded to by 150% of the damage dealt.
Additionally, Butterflies will apply O'Rin's On-Hit and On-Damage effects only, however an Ally's Attack or Ability will apply their On-Hit or On-Attack effects like normal, via their own Attack or Ability.
Q: Chrysalis Kunai
Passive: O'Rin can store an amount of charges of this ability equal to the maximum amount of Butterflies she has. She regenerates a charge every 3 seconds. When she runs out of charges, O'Rin must be out of combat for at least 5 seconds before she will start regenerating charges again. Each charge has a 0.5 second, static cooldown between uses.
Enemies hit with 3 Kunai within 3 seconds are Knocked Away from O'Rin. If they hit Terrain, they are stunned for 0.75 Seconds, and a Butterfly is sent to them, if one is available and will apply its' effect, regardless of Butterfly Swarm.
Active: O'Rin throws an enchanted Kunai at a target enemy, dealing 20/30/40/50/60 + 35% Total AP Magic Damage.
Static Cooldown: 0.5 Seconds
Static Mana Cost: 25
W: Nectar of the Ancients
Passive: On Takedown, O'Rin can re-feed her Butterflies.
Active: O'Rin gives a target Ally some of her Sacred Nectar, healing them for 50/60/70/80/90 +40/45/50/55/60% Bonus AP and giving them 25/30/35/40/45% Bonus Movement Speed for the next 2.5/2.75/3/3.25/3.5 Seconds.
Cooldown: 15 Seconds

E: Flight of Beauty
Passive: While under the effects of Flight of Beauty, Allies cannot receive a Butterfly from O'Rin via Nectar of the Ancients, or Items, unless O'Rin is the target, in which case all of her Butterflies will contribute towards this ability.
Active: O'Rin surrounds herself or an Ally with half of her Butterflies, prioritizing ones that must be fed, granting them a (30/40/50/60 + 15/20/25/30/35% Total AP) per Butterfly, Shield for the next 2.5 Seconds. During this time, if any of the Butterflies can still apply their effects, and O'Rin or her Ally attempts to send a Butterfly to an enemy, then they will leave their Host and the Shield will decrease by the aforementioned amount.
Cooldown: 22/19/16/13/10 Seconds
Mana Cost: 125
R: Monarch's Ascension
Passive: If O'Rin dies while her Butterflies are in a Frenzy, the Butterflies will leave their hosts, and the Frenzy will dissipate.
Active: O'Rin summons all of her Butterflies back, feeds them with a plant of her choosing, puts them into a Frenzy for the next 15 seconds, and then sends her Butterflies to all of her nearby Allies. While in a Frenzy, they gain the following benefit;

• Butterflies can now apply their effects 3 times before they must be fed again
• Butterflies will now travel 2x faster to and from Targets, Allies and O'Rin
• While in a Frenzy, Butterflies will return to their Host instead of O'Rin
• Butterflies from the same Host can affect the same Target every 3 seconds now

Once all Butterflies have calmed down, they return to O'Rin and must be fed once again.

Lore:

Long Ago, when peace and harmony covered the land, the Spirits walked freely across the Land of Ionia. With them, the Vastaya did as well, romancing the humans and embracing the calm and steady life that Ionia was known for. Each Spirit took the form of an animal native to Ionia, and roamed the land, wholly unknown to the commonfolk and sustaining the Spirit of Ionia itself.
Mirithra, the Spirit of Nature itself, was oft to take the form of a Large, Colourful Butterfly and roamed the land, making sure that the Humans and Vastaya alike kept it proper. Myths and Legends grew from this, describing either a gentle, protective Butterfly that blessed those who came upon it, or a monstrous, cannibalistic flying creature that consumed any and all who dared tread foot on its' land. Nobody knew which story was true, yet all who walked amongst the sleepy forests, along the ivory coasts, up the craggy, granite peaks kept this story in mind. At the same time, others dismissed such things as the story that it was.
Indeed, there where some that took this the other way, and instead of treading carefully, took it upon themselves to hunt and slay this creature, not understanding what it actually was. Most failed, however after the son of a Lord was killed, the Spirit was hunted and slain. The beautiful butterfly that once flew through the forests, was cast into the depths of a dark cave. Its wings broken, its body full of stone and lead, it reverted into a Chrysalis and the Spirit went into a deep hibernation.
Millennia passed, and the tectonic forces of the world eventually revealed the entrance to the cave once more, and this was how O'Rin's ancestors found it. Still in the Golden Age of Ionia, her ancestors nurtured the Chrysalis, for they where stewards of the land instead of defilers of nature. After many years, the Spirit awoke yet again, but this time forsoke its bestial form. The only remnant was an intricate tattoo in the shape of a butterfly, that lain upon the chest of the clan's newborn child. But this was no ordinary marking, for rather it was a blessing by the Spirit upon its' caretakers, that gave them an extended life of eternal youth and the ability to commune with the Spirits themselves.
The ones marked by such a tattoo where elevated to Matriarch or Patriarch of the clan itself, for such powers where a sight to behold, and came with great wisdom and a long, powerful life. Yet for all these gifts, only the first born child of the Blessed could be granted such powers as well, and upon that child's birth, the Blessed would be found dead and a Butterfly would be found amongst the child's cradle. The butterfly would be a lifelong companion of the new Blessed, as they grew and matured both into a caretaker of Ionia and as the head of the clan.
O'Rin was the newest in this line. Just as previous generations had, her mother had died in childbirth, and her father had vanished, and in their place O'Rin was born with the tattoo upon her chest and a venom black butterfly resting upon her cradle. Such an ominous sign was not forgotten by the clan's elders, for this was the first time in history that a Black Butterfly was found with a child. In a quick, panic-driven, fear-induced coup, they cast out O'Rin as the head of the house, throwing her into the deepest, darkest prison within the massive estate.
Located amongst the high peaks of Northern Ionia, within the dense granite, the prison was O'Rin's home for the first part of her life. Yet within the darkness, amongst the cool air, isurrouunded by unyielding stone, the Black Butterfly found its way to O'Rin and just as previous generations, accompanied her as she grew within the the Prison known only as The Well of Despair. Yet instead of despair, O'Rin grew and matured with a sense of defiance. Instead or murderers, rapists and all other sort of criminals, she found instead people who where loyal to the estate rather then the Elders. Unbeknownst to the recent generations, the clan's elders had slowly corrupted and consolodated power to themselves, deposing all who stood in their way, and turning O'Rin's family into a puppet, while they ran the estate for themselves. With the Black Butterfly at her side, these former soldiers, stewards, clerics and advisors raised O'Rin in the ways of her ancestors. Reading by the ghostly candlelight, sh learned of the legends behind her family. Training by the handful of hours fo snlight, she became adept at a multitude of martial arts. Speaking in echoes through the mountains, she learned the Common Languages and the Uncommon languages.
In time, her Vastayan Roots came to fruition as well. From a young age, her skin was mottled and grew into rough scales. Her tongue, grew longer, and eventually split into a fork during her teenage years. Her irises changed from wholly circular to narrow slits, yet her vision became acutely stronger. Through her childhood, such changes where met with awe, and could not be controlled,yet in her teenage years she became adept at changing herself at will. She could disguise her mottled, scales as pale, smooth skin. She coudl shorten and fuse her tongue for a short time. She could rapidly grow out her hair after much exhaustion, to lose it days later.
Soon, her day of reckoning came, for upon her ascent to womanhood, she and her adoptive family escaped from the mountain prison, and set off for her ancestral home. Behind her a massive vanguard followed, made up of all those who who where falsely imprisoned with her, but also the humans and vastaya alike who where downtrodden by the clan's elders. Yet beside her always, was the same Black Butterfly that had been with her since birth.
She and her allies quickly overwhelmed the Elder's soldiers, and she retook her ancestral position back. With great speed and brutal efficiency, she purged the corruption and rot within the estate and instituted people who where not only loyal, but also capable in their place. Nevermore, was anything like this going to happen to her family again, and indeed the estate continued to thrive. Notably, she had her people hide and protect her lands with the strongest magic they knew of. Nestled between a mountain ranges, and amongst sleepy forests, these magiks guaranteed their survival from any potential physical and political invaders.
By in large the estate functioned like normal. Her vassals continued with their life, living in peace and prosperity like all before them, but she instituted a strict return to the stewardship that had been lost generations ago. Her land, while physically hidden, was quite easily accessible, and it became a respite for the Spirits, be they escaping from Human Hunters, or the Azakana that opposed them. Make no mistake, Humans, Vastaya and all in between lived amongst her estate, but only the Spirits could come and go as they pleased.
The heart of this Stewardship, was the Butterfly Shrine, where not only the original Spirit of Nature, Mirithra, permanently lived, but any other Spirit could visit to rest and recover in either their Mortal Form or their Animalistic Form. The Butterfly Shrine was half in the physical realm and half in the Spirit Realm, and was the crown jewel of O'Rin's estate. Humans could come and go, offering prayers and offerings to the Spirits, while the Spirits themsleves could rest, safe from the influence of physical hunters and Azakana alike.
The smoke from prayer incense drifted constantly through the air. Silent prayer took place amongst the Courtyards and Gardens. Food and other offerings where placed at the numerous shrines. The Gardens themselves where tended and amongst the plants, an incomprehensible collection of Butterflies lived with the Spirits. Notably, O'Rin's signature Black Butterfly could always be seen amongst the swarm of rainbow colored insects, for just like her ancestors, O'Rin had the power to commune directly with the Spirits directly within the realm, and served as bridge between worlds, and Mirithra had quickly bonded with her, re-uniting her family line, with the Spirit itself.
It was her duty as the Speaker of the Spirits to commune with them, but it was also her duty as Aegis of the Ancients to protect them as well. Such was the case, when invaders pierced the veil between worlds and began to defile the land with chaotic, dark magic. Yet as quick as they came, they fell quicker still for O'Rin wielded powers that where hitherto unseen. The gardens of the Butterfly Shrine, home to Butterflies and Spirits alike, rose up against the invaders. Thought quite beautiful, the Butterflies where capable of destruction themselves and O'Rin was their caretaker.
In time, she met a handful of outsider, that somehow traversed through the Spirit World and had arrived at the Butterfly Shrine. She knew not how they had survived, nor why they had come, yet all who arrived where clearly strong enough to survive amongst the Spirit Wilds, and respectful of the Spirits themselves to travel amongst them for so long. She met a tall, lithe swordsmen, with a red mask bound to his face, bleeding from many wounds and collapsed upon the forest's floor. She met a Ninja Master and his Apprentice, traveling amongst the Wilds, in search of the Spirits themselves, in search of harmony. She met an armored warrior. and his Acolytes, wielding shadowy, chaotic magic also in search of a Spirit. She offered them a respite, amongst her people and Spirit's alike and it was only their respect of the Spirits that kept them alive. As for keeping the Butterfly Shrine a secret, O'Rin bound all of them with a Blood Oath before they left the refuge, cursing them to hold their tongue lest they immolate in unending Spirit Fire.
In time, she found herself growing older, and with it came new responsibilities. She was of child-bearing age, and Tradition and Fate meant that she was to take a lover and give birth to a new heir, one who would take up the mantle as Speaker of the Spirits and Aegis of the Ancients. Yet O'Rin took care in whom she pursued, for haste was of nigh importance to her. She did eventually take a lover after many years, and many years after that they married, and years after that she found herself heavy with child. By no means, was she her young self that had overthrown the Elders but nor was she an old, demented Lady like the Elders that she had overthrown. Her pregnancy would be long and hard, but she was determined to uphold her duties till the birth of her daughter. In her mind,she knew that her life's end was near upon her, yet she felt a serene sense of happiness, knowing that child would be born into a safe world, accompanied by a Butterfly of their own, and would serve the Spirits as she had, reaping the same benefits she had.

Inspiration:

I was debating whether to put this above, but I decided to put it here. Apologies in advance to TheHerald for having to read all the way down here in order to see if this qualifies for the competition. This champion qualifies for the competition under the Art of Inspiration. My initial Inspiration was from Vincent van Gogh's Butterfly Series, however the specific Inspiration behind the Butterfly Swarm Theme and the Feeding Mechanic is Long Grass and Butterflies as well as Grass and Butterflies. The paintings are an abstract work where you can interpret the paint as either long grass in a field while blowing in the wind, or Butterflies feeding upon grass in a field. This became the initial inspiration, and of course I took it and ran to create the fundamental mechanics behind O'Rin.

Gameplay Analysis:

Writing a Gameplay Analysis is almost as fun as designing the champions themselves. It allows me to explain how my vision for the Champion and their gameplay, while also allowing me to reflect upon the design process and fix any errors or ambiguities that arise. But anyway, I digress.
O'Rin's main Mechanic is of course the Butterfly Swarm that she manipulates. Just a disclaimer, this is the first time I have ever build a Support Champion, however I think I did a decent job. Initially the effects that the Swarm can apply look to be incredibly strong on their own, in fact when I designed them I thought about what sort of passive would I give to a BruiseHypercarry, ie:

• %Current Health True Damage is very similar to Fiora's passive, and incredibly strong in the hands of a Bruiser or Assassin
• Nearsighted and Crowd Control Amplification are rare enough effects that a Support's entire Passive could be just this and it would be strong.
• Green Hemlock is The Collector's Passive but slightly better, and while you don't necessarily build The Collector for the Execute, and Execute is an Execute. This is incredibly good for Bruisers and/or Marksmen
• Red Wisteria is Burn effect that scales with Max Health. Everyone knows how annoying Brand is, and the ability for multiple people to apply this is similar in that vein. This could very well be a Mage's Passive on its' own.
• Blue Jasmine is a decently strong Damage Modifier, that also heals for a huge portion of the damage dealt. On its' own this could be the passive for a BruiseAssassin

However, these strong effects are gated behind some conditions that neuter O'Rin from spinning out of Control. Namely, that you can only apply these effects from the same "Host" once every 10 seconds, or in the case of her Ultimate, once every 3 seconds. Coordinating these effects would mean having a team that actually knows what O'Rin does and can function around her, which is the second Mechanism that keeps her balanced. O'Rin's intrinsic Butterfly Mechanics rely on your ADC/Team as a whole to understand what they do, and how it affects the rest of the kit. For example, Flight of Beauty is a shielding ability, but it can also be turned into an Offensive Ability at the cost of the Shield itself. The final effect that gates O'Rin, is the fact that all of her Butterflies have the same effect, which means that based on your Gamestate and Team Composition, you may want a different effect. For example, if you have a high octane, early game comp, White Lotus and Blue Jasmine are going to be more valuable compared to Black Nightshade or Red Wisteria. Consequently, if you are facing a heavy BruiseTank/Juggernaut Comp, then Red Wisteria and Green Hemlock will be more valuable. Even if you are skirmishing in 2v2s instead of 5v5s, then Black Nightshade would be more valuable then anything else, because you can lock down and kill the carry int he skirmish fast. What ability to use and spread to your Allies is going to depend on a lot of factors, and having a good team that can capitalize on your decision is also important for O'Rin to function properly
As mentioned, Flight of Beauty and Nectar of the Ancients are the abilities that synergize the best with the overall Butterfly Mechanic. Nectar of the Ancients is a decently strong, scaling heal, but more importantly this is the main way that O'Rin can get a Butterfly onto an Ally. Butterflies will only go to an Ally if O'Rin can heal or Shield them, so she needs one of each type of ability. The Heal itself scales incredibly with AP and also applies a MS Bonus that scales with rank in how long it lasts and how large the bonus is. Truth be told, this is a very powerful ability on its' own, but combine it an the Butterfly Mechanic, and you have an Enchanter that is unquely suited for more aggressive ADCs instead of scaling Hyper Carries. Flight of Beauty is the shielding ability, and uniquely it scale not only with rank, with AP but also with Butterflies. Specifically, the AP Ratio increases with Rank, and because O'Rin intrinsically scales the amount of Butterflies that she has, it also increases the total Shielding AP Ratio that is used.
Then we come to the Coup de Grace of the kit, Monarch's Acension. In essence, t is really simple, because it is a huge stat boost at the end of the day, but it allows O'Rin to make her Buttrflies and in extension her teammates extremely lethal and punishing. First, it automatically allows O'Rin to re-feed her Butterflies, which means that she can change what effect they apply just before or just after a teamfigth starts. From there it provides utility, such as the ability to re-apply effects on the same target every 3 seconds instead of 10, as well as being able to apply said effects 3 times instead of 1 before needing to be fed. This makes her O'Rin absolutely lethal in team fights, as applying something like Black Nightshade or White Lotus on a significantly lower cooldown and with the ability to do it multiple times means that unless O'Rin is dealt with immediately or before a fight, it will be very hard to combat, given the sheer amount of stats and effects that she allows her team to apply. However, killing O'Rin will dissipate the swarm, and therefore if you can kill her early in the fight, then the combat pressure she applies will also be gone
The main point behind having such High AP Ratios that scale as hard as they do was to incentivize O'Rin to not build Support Items, but rather AP/Mage Items. All of her abilities scale incredibly hard with AP, and this is because I wanted to push her towards a more Karma-esque build path. My intended, or rather predicted build path would be a World Atlas (into Zak'Zak's Realmspike) into a Blackfiretorch, followed by an Imperial Mandateand finished by a Rabadan's Deathcap. This gives the Mana and Raw AP, which O'Rin desperately needs/wants to turbo charge her abilities, whilst till providing some form of Support Utility. Namely, Imperial Mandate is arguably the best Support Item in the game, and O'Rin perfectly synergies with it, given her poke with Chrysalis Kunai and the Crowd Control Effects on Black Nightshade. Dipping into Imperial Mandate reduces the total amount of AP you can get in 3 items, which realistically Supports most commonly hit only 3 items or so, but the Coordinated Fire effect synergizes too much with the kit to not dip into it. Blackfire Torch gives her the Mana she needs, and also AP, but more importantly the Burn from BFT will spread via her Butterflies that deal damage. This means that with the help of her Allies, she can very quickly spread the Burn to many enemies, which in turn amplifies her AP temporarily, which in turn amplifies her Healing and Shielding. Rabadan's Deathcap is a must for any AP Centric Build, so that is why its the Capstone of this build.
Rune Wise, I actually think that O'Rin would take Unsealed Spellbook more then any other Keystone Rune. She is unique in that she does not really benefit from any other runes specifically, as the entire kit is really around enabling her teammates, but on the flip side, the traditional support runes really do not feel like they would fit either. Summon Aery would be the other potential Keystone Rune, but at the same time O'Rin actually benefits from being able to cycle her Summoner Spells because it would give her the flexibility she needs in order to survive or switch gears to help her teammates. Beyond that, I catered her Base Stats to be very Mana Hungry, so going Inspiration Primary with Boots + Biscuits > Sorcery Secondary with Mana Runes would probably be her most optimal Rune page.
Finally, in terms of weakness, O'Rin is designed to be incredibly squishy and immobile. Her Cooldowns are pretty long, and her envisioned build path has little little CDR. As well, her abilities are impactful when used offensively or on other people, so not wasting it on herself and using it on the proper target is important. Additionally, her high dependence on AP means that she is goign to be buying the most expensive item in the game, being Rabadan's Deathcap, which not only has a terrible buildpath but is coming off the income of a Support. In total, O'Rin really wants to play aggressively and snowball her lane matchups, while simultaneously being incredibly squishy and immobile. As well, she wants to be paired up with an aggressive ADC, which means that she will often be putting herself in danger, but if she can be piloted correctly, she can take over games on her own, given how strong her Butterflies are and how fasts he scales with AP.

On a day in October last year, we visited Samal Island, which is a beautiful and popular island destination located in the southern part of the Philippines, near Davao City.
Samal Island is easily accessible from Davao City via ferry or boat, with frequent transportation services available. It is a popular destination for both local and international tourists seeking a tranquil and picturesque getaway in the Philippines, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life.
I have to tell you, its stunning natural beauty, pristine beach, crystal-clear water, and lush tropical landscapes impressed me. The resort where we were offers a wide range of recreational activities and attractions for tourists.
We found a nice spot with some sun loungers, tables and chairs and we settled there. After a nice breakfast, my wife and me went on an exploration on the beach. It was low tide, so we could go quite far. We found some shells and crabs. I petted some starfishes and a hermit crab, which I found harmless and fun to interact with.
Then we had a lunch and took a swim in the saltwater swimming pool just near where we were. The water facilities were very stylish and the waiters were very kind – the resort was very tempting to book a room for a few nights but it is not cheap – I do not think we will go back there anyway.
From this experience, I could learn the value of exploring new destinations and immersing myself in nature's beauty. Visiting that place allowed me to appreciate the tranquility and serenity of natural landscapes, offering a respite from the stresses of urban life.
Furthermore, this experience highlighted the importance of spending quality time with my loved ones and engaging in leisure activities together. Whether it's exploring the beach, collecting shells, or enjoying a swim in a saltwater swimming pool, these shared moments create lasting memories and strengthen bonds.
Additionally, the encounter with harmless marine life like starfishes and hermit crabs served as a reminder of the wonders of the natural world and the importance of preserving marine ecosystems.
Finally, the realization that luxury accommodations may not always align with our budget and we have to deal with it. Experience is more important anyway, than material possessions. While the resort may have been tempting, the experience itself was fulfilling enough without the need for an extended stay.

I collect alot of Pins/Keychains from every anime con I go to, and put them all on a backpack I carry with me treating it like a canvas that has little memories of things i've done with friends, but I also love supporting the small artists and conversating with them.
I mainly like shows/movies when I have other people with me its hard for me to pay attention to whats happening unless I have someone watching with me as well. but with that being said I will watch about anything with my preferred genres being Horror and comedy but a good story triumphs everything else

So, I made one, and since I seem incapable of doing more than 2 generations in any challenge, I would like to interest you all in attempting this as well, and giving me some feedback?
Here is the text from the .txt file I created for the challenge rules.

GILBERT BAKER PRIDE FLAG LEGACY CHALLENGE (base game challenge) Basic Rules: * no money cheats, except to move your founder into their initial house, or to correct gameplay bugs. * Lifespan should be set to normal (or shorter, if you're really ambitious). * The current generation (or founder) must fulfill all required career, aspiration, and skill requirements before attempting to produce an heir. * To become the official Heir, the potential sim must complete all of the Heir's career, aspiration, and skill requirements. Similarly, The first potential heir to fulfill these becomes the official Heir. * Upon reaching teen, the heir will change their hair color to match their stripe of the flag. * All Heirs must be genetically related to the Founder. In the case of heirs in same-sex relationships, this will require either mods that allow same-sex offspring, or the use of the "Science Baby" option from the sim's phone, at a cost of 1200 simoleons each. We all have a right to life, we should enjoy it as much as possible. You have a tempestuous life. You party hard, and have a hard time saying no to a new experience. Once you find something, you go for it with all you have, sometimes reaching the pinnacle before finding something else, sometimes abandoning it only having just started. Career: Any Traits: Hot-Headed, either Glutton or Foodie. Aspiration: Renaissance Sim. No more than 1 job can be a part-time job. You want to experience all life has to offer, and it's just so hard to decide on any single path! Skills: Reach level 10 in any 2 skills. Other: Life is full of surprises! You don't know what you like until you try it! Have at least 1 boyfriend and and least 1 girlfriend before any of your children reach Teen. HEIR: Your Heir is just something that happened along the way! You cannot be married to the Heir's other parent from their birth until they reach young adulthood. (You can marry and then divorce before their birth if you like). If they are born into a different house, you can "Invite to join household" on their parent, then move just the child (infant or older) into your house. Or you can invite them both, the more the merrier! Once they are born, you will take as much vacation as possible to spend time with them, spacing it out strategically to complement your partner's schedule, so that you never have to send them to daycare. Someone is always there for them after school, even if you have to leave early to be there, and there's alwasy a sack lunch for them to bring with them when they go. If you have more than 1 child, you do this hyper-fixation for all of them. No babysitter. No nanny or butler. Just proper parenting. Whether they complete a childhood aspiration or not, they must reach level 10 in all 4 child skills before aging up to Teen to become Heir. They may not have a job. If they have one, they must quit it upon moving in. Own a woodworking table. HEIR: With all your hobbies, you don't have as much time as you would wish for kids, so you choose your coparent well. They may not have a formal job, but they find ways to contribute to the house and help you with the kids. You wanted at least 3, right? Have at least 3 children who could become the heir. The Heir must have completed the Creativity childhood aspiration. Upon becoming a teen, the Heir may change their gender marker and must change their pronouns (keep the get/become pregnant status the same for this sim). They may change their physical frame upon becoming Young Adult if you choose, but it is not required. THEME: Creativity. We are not limited by our physical bodies in our expression of ourselves. You always felt wrong when people used the pronouns the doctors gave you. As a child, this came out in your love for making art, and it helped you throug hsome trying times. Eventually, you found the courage to tell your parents what the problem was. They still get the words wrong a lot of the time, but you know they try, and your art has gained a new sense of life and vibrancy, now that you can finally be yourself somewhere more than just in your own head. Career: Painter Traits: Creative, either Loner or Perfectionist Aspiration: Any Fortune Aspiration Skills: Cooking, Painting, Photography Other: Their partner must have the opposite get/become pregnant status as they do, and any heirs must be born from woohoo/try for baby options. They must also have a medium skin tone. If you have a medium skin tone already, they must be a different ethnicity from you, with a notably different skin tone. HEIR: You found and married someone who looks different from you. So different, that it sometimes causes stares. You don't care, after so many years of trying to show the world who you are inside, you see the person inside them without any effort. The Heir must have a medium skin color, and be notably different from their heir parent's skin tone. Immaculate ashes fell gently on the pile of bodies. They could not be called corpses because life had never dwelled inside them. They all bore the same features, the same build and the same face. That of a man that a lone girl standing in front of them used to call 'Friend'. The same man whose soul was still burning inside her. The countless husks were not enough. Not suited to be a vessel capable of containing his flames. She wasn’t suited either. It had been a desperate gamble, she had managed to snatch the soul from his charred corpse but his flames had proven too strong. The stolen souls she relied on for sustenance were all gone, incinerated. Only his soul remained. She hadn't fed in days and time was running out.
Livia finally stopped staring at the husks, their lifeless gaze suddenly became too much to bear. With a swift motion fire erupted from her hand reaching for the amassed bodies. They all burnt like a funeral pyre, but it was not yet time to mourn. As she turned back toward her home, in her heart she already knew what she had to do. From the first day that idea had tormented her, and now she couldn't afford to reject it again.

Max is in his workshop, working on a new leather potion belt. He kept complaining that “20 vials just isn’t enough.” so he decided to just make one with double the capacity. On his desk is a box with 27 failed silver whiskey flasks. The one at the top looks to have gotten to the very finish, but failed at the last moment. A botched engraving that reads “For my dear friend and best man, HiK”. The walls are lined with anything from ornate metal puzzles, to wooden toys designed for kids, to wondrous mechanical devices of which the functions are impossible to guess.
The dim lights flicker for an instant as a cloaked figure silently emerges from an unassuming shadow. She removes her hood, her skin is paler than usual, her cheerful façade has faded completely. Livia takes a few steps and reaches for the 27th flask, studying it for a moment.
“Dear friend and best man… it sounds so silly now, doesn't it?”
Her husky voice carries no hatred, just sadness.
“Heh… that it does, Livia. That it does. Now, what brings you to my workshop today?”
He’s surprisingly chipper, but there’s a hint of bitterness behind his dandy act.
“I can bring him back… but I require your help. His soul rests inside me. It is slowly scorching everything else. I have a plan but in this state I am unable to execute it on my own.”
Hesitation seeps through her carefully chosen words. She is not lying but her words are trying to hide a more sinister truth.
“Bringing Hirk back, huh? You sure the Duke can’t help us again? I still got two favours from that old devil remaining…”
She stands silent for a moment, once again she chooses her words very carefully.
“This time it won’t be possible, unfortunately. Once Hirk’s soul leaves my body I will be untethered, There will be nothing else to anchor me to this reality and the universe will reject my existence. We can’t do this in Greed. We would be putting too many people in danger, people you most likely care about.”
“It’s not like the Duke can’t go to a spot without people around. He isn’t locked to the Spider’s Eyes or anything. Plenty of open space in Greed… But I guess ya have a plan already.”
He pauses for a moment, staring Livia straight in the eyes.
“Speaking of… Might I ask… What’s this plan of yours? Your poker face is awful, real easy to figure out that there’s more that you’re not telling me. I ain’t some child that ya gotta shield from the truth, nor am I one to agree to plans without knowing the details.”
A sigh escapes from her lips, and her voice becomes more feeble.
“The Duke too would be in danger, no matter where we go. My memory becomes hazy every time it happens. Usually nothing remains once I come back to my senses.”
She stops, contemplating her own treacherous words in silence for an instant before continuing.
“But yes, I do have a plan. I have found a ritual that could restore his body, not a copy or a clone, it would be perfectly identical and certainly capable of housing his soul. But it is written in a language long forgotten, I began to decipher it years ago and I still can’t grasp its true essence completely… My time is running out, I won’t be able to contain Hirk’s soul for much longer. I have a solution for this problem, but it will require a trip to Avernus and in my current situation I will not be able to protect Hirk’s soul, nor myself. That’s why I need your help.”
She pauses, carefully considering her next sentence.
“This ritual has a price. It requires sacrifices…Many sacrifices. Of the gruesome kind. Would you still be willing to help?”
“Gruesome sacrifices… I’m no stranger to blood debts, but who will pay that price, might I ask?”
Livia feels a wave of relief, he will cooperate. She continues, more confident.
“I’d rather not take innocent lives if possible, but I have no preferences other than this one. Besides, I know you have a ‘hobby’ involving slavers…”
“Not taking innocent lives is a preference for you and me both. It’s against my morals, and has further consequences for me personally as well…” He thinks for a moment. Now please do explain, how do my… ARMADA authorised slaver hunts come into your plan… it seems to click in his mind. I get what you’re trying to say. Only one request on my end there… You let me handle it, my way, until the price has to be paid. Those cages need to be empty first.”
“I have no qualms about that, and I already have a place in mind: The Flesh Market in Alushinyrra, capital of the Midnight Isles, one of the infinite layers of the Abyss. The ritual ground has to be properly warded with a magic circle and all the lives must be taken inside it. I can make a hidden circle big enough to encompass the whole slave market, but it’s imperative that we do not alert the slavers. We can’t let them escape. We should save the slaves once the boundary around the circle is already in place. And that of course will not guarantee their complete safety.”
“So, infiltrate, buy the slaves, keep anyone leaving from doing so, kill the slavers and attendees, done. Fairly standard affair. Was supposed to do a raid like that next week as well. Should be easy enough. Will need at least Sarah, Aoi and Cerne joining me on an operation like that, though.”
“Then I shall trust in your expertise. They are welcome to join us, but I doubt they will be happy to help after all that happened between you and Hirk.”
“Oh they won’t like it, but they’ll help. They believe in the cause of taking down slavers, and I know they’d help out with anything I try to do, even if it’s reviving Hirk. I did convince them that it was an act of trauma, not quite a conscious act, so they’re a lot less… Angry about it. Rachnia is still incredibly angry, though.”
“I see. I can’t say I blame them, Rachnia especially. Still there will be repercussions for your actions against that one slaver. Torture was needless and dangerous, he might have escaped... But this is not the time to discuss these matters. Yet I doubt the paragons will survive this incident.”
“That vermin got what he deserved. I would even consider my own acts to have been… merciful. But yes, not the right time, and the Crimson Paragons have been… anything but stable ever since. Mostly worried about Jean, she blames herself the most. Whatever choice she makes regarding her membership, I shall follow.”
“I will officially resign after the ritual is done. One last thing. As I said before… I have no idea what might happen once Hirk’s soul leaves my body. Reality will most likely erase me almost immediately, but I have… Contingencies in place. What worries me is that I might lose control in the meantime. Be careful. Please. I need you to bring Hirk somewhere safe afterwards.”
She pauses, a bitter smile forms on her lips.
“He will not forgive us.”
“Everything has a price, everything has its consequences. I just want to set right what went wrong.”
“I should have expected that kind of answer from an alchemist. I’ve made peace with that too. Please contact your friends. We must be swift. I will prepare a teleportation circle for our first destination in Avernus. And Max… Thank you…”
“I’ll go get them right now. They should all be home, still… and don’t thank me for correcting a mistake, that’s just what should be done.”

In the twilight between the first and the second circle, where Avernus fades into Dis, a pillar stands impossibly tall. It is a pulsating amalgamation of rotting heads, a countless multitude eternally screaming, cursing, wailing and bickering. And yet, this is not merely a grotesque monument of damnation, but a repository of knowledge. The greatest among all the planes. Each of the cursed skulls was once a wise sage, revered and held in high esteem, but their deceitful words carried poison, leading many to their demise. Now they are condemned to answer truthfully for the rest of eternity. Unfortunately their punishment has only made them more callous and cruel. Even if truthful, their words are still treacherous, and their knowledge always comes at great cost.
As they approach the vile monument, the raging cacophony of voices grows even stronger, howling in unison.

She stops right in front of the pillar and breathes deeply. Only then she raises her head, the damned are waiting in ravenous silence. A whisper finally escapes her lips, shame and fear taint her voice.
“I seek the forgotten language of the Uyo, I seek to understand it as they did at the height of their might, when their empire was young, when even the vacuum of the cosmos and the stars burning in it were afraid of them.”
Laughters, crass and violent, shake the pillar, echoing all around them. Then, the heads convulse until an alien skull with birdlike features emerges right in front of Livia. The others hush as the skull begins to sing in a language that had remained unspoken for millennia.

There’s obvious hostility in Max’s words, he throws a glance towards Livia, almost as if to say:“I hope you know what you’re doing.” And yet Livia does not react, maybe this was her plan all along. She finally turns toward Max and his crew, with a pained expression, her gaze lingers on them for an instant, then she faces the pillar again. She hesitates before answering with a faint voice.
“No. This time I won’t pay with someone else’s life.”
A choir of malicious laughs echoes all around shaking the very ground.

Her body tenses trying to repress a shiver crawling through her spine. As she steps closer, her hand brushes against the pillar before grasping the accursed singing skulls. Somewhere deep inside her, where her soul should reside, a molten pebble stands defiant against an all consuming void and yet it inevitably drifts closer with every passing moment.
“I... I accept your terms.”
Her voice is emotionless but tears begin to form in her eyes. Suddenly her mind is flooded by an alien consciousness, it intertwines with her own, whispering in an unknown language, eerie and harmonious, words are sung, not spoken and one by one they are burnt forever in Livia’s memory, their meaning becoming clearer with each passing second. The melody grows sombre, as the song reaches its conclusion, the last words echo with perfect clarity in her mind:

The connection fades as the multitude of heads violently pushes the singing skull back into the depths of the pillar. The voices of the bickering skulls are laughing again. Her heart grows emptier.

Alushinyrra has always been something of an oddity by abyssal standards, the evershifting city is open to outsiders and thrives thanks to interplanar commerce. Under the vigilant gaze of the Lady in Shadows, it flourished, becoming one of the most important trading hubs of the outer planes. Even after her ascension to higher planes, the city has remained mostly the same, it stretches in all directions encompassing the whole island of Alinythia.
But Alushinyrra is still a demonic city, its streets have no laws other than strength and cunning; in its market everything can be bought and sold, especially goods too reviled or too precious to be sold in any other civilised realm. The Flesh Market is especially famous among the lower planes for the sheer variety of slaves that may be found in its wretched cages.
Livia stands on a rooftop overlooking the main square of the market, with Maximillian and his crew not far behind. She is holding a red piece of fabric in her hands, it was once a sleeve and it belonged to Hirk’s sweater. Surprisingly she still remembers it, she recalls the exact moment when he had ripped it off and placed it around her neck as a scarf, she even remembers the hug and the tears that had followed. And yet, these memories feel distant, foreign, as if they belonged to someone else entirely. They are meaningless movements performed by random puppets.
A demon suddenly appears beside her, bringing Livia back to the present. The fiend approaches, and kneels while shaking violently.
“I… did… what… you… asked…”
They are still trying to fight the enslaving spell, but it won't be enough. The incantation is crude but powerful. Erasing the victim’s soul directly normally is a more elegant and practical solution, but the signs would have been too evident to hide, making infiltration impossible.
“Very well, now go back, hide in the crowd with the others and wait for my signal.”
Sarah looks at Livia talking to the demon, she looks disgusted by what she sees.
“Mind control spells… and this is who we’re working with?”
Maximillian sighs.
“For grave causes, sometimes you need grave methods. Today’s not exactly how I like to do things, but it’s how we’ll get things done.”
Livia steps closer to Maximillian and his crew, speaking with confidence, hoping to mask her fears.
“The last ward is in place. They are well hidden but we must act swiftly to ensure the slavers won’t have time to realise what we are planning. All we need to do now is to get inside and begin the ritual. Once the arcane barrier is deployed, all but the most sophisticated teleportation spells will be ineffective. Nothing gets in and nothing gets out. If you find more slaves, keep them in their cages until the ritual is complete, it will be safer for them. Do you have anything to add?”
“Keep your mind steady like your blade. Fear in this situation makes for grave mistakes, which will lead to the death of innocents. Remember why we’re here, Livia. Failure is not an option. Steady yourself. We will join the fray on your mark.”
“You will recognise the signal as soon as you hear it, I can assure you. Now we should spread out and please be careful, these demons are not to be underestimated.”
“This isn’t our first rodeo, Livia. It’ll be a walk in the park. Alright everyone, you know the drill. High bids, but don’t overbid too high. Move along the crowd, don’t stay in one place.”
“You will have around a standard hour to purchase the slaves and bring them to safety, afterwards I’ll begin the ritual, and please stay away from the central area of the market.”
“Got it. Should be enough to get a few out of the area. Will try to stay outta the centre, but, ya never know how things end up during a case like this.”
“Oh, and feel free to take everything from the slavers' metaphorical pockets once we are done, the only thing I ask is that you bring Hirk with you if I get erased first. Here, these crystals are imbued with a spell that will banish you back to the material plane, use it only after the ritual is complete, they won’t work until the boundary is lifted. If you are close enough to each other, a single crystal will teleport you all to safety.”
“I guess these kinds of slavers would have pretty interesting loot on them… Alright. Thanks for the hint.” He pulls out a small pendant with a bright green gemstone from his pockets. “Already have a way to return. Don’t worry about us. Told ya, ain’t our first rodeo.”
“Good, I’m glad you actually know what you are getting into. We should not linger further, go and make your purchases, I’ll finish my own preparations and begin the ritual.”
“Sounds good to me. Alright, Cerne, Sarah, Aoi, spread out. Whatever coin we use will end up back in our pockets anyway, so spend. Let’s make this a day to remember.”
Maximillian and his crew disperse into the crowd to start making bids. Sometimes even against each other, to avoid raising suspicions.
Soon after, Livia moves toward the central area of the market, slowly making her way through the crowd; she stops in front of an especially imposing collection of cages, full to the brim with slaves and she is greeted by a bloated mass of eyes and demonic flesh. He bares thousands of sharp teeth forming what appears to be a genuine smile.
“My lady, it’s good to see you again! What are you looking for today? I’ve just received a fresh shipment of Aasimars directly from the upper planes.”
Livia doesn’t answer but tries her best to smile back, she moves toward the exact center of the square, placing the red scarf on the ground.
“Dear customer, I don’t underst-”
The fiend is too surprised to scream, he stares at the bloodied blade in Livia’s grasp while his blood floods the ground, tainting the scarf. At the same time in the corners of the square five demons begin to shake uncontrollably, pointlessly trying to stop the daggers in their hands from reaching their throats. As they take their own lives in perfect unity, a magic circle takes shape, encompassing the whole market, it gleams faintly as an incorporeal barrier seals the area.
While panic slowly seeps into the minds of the bystanders, Livia averts her gaze from the dead slaver and closes her eyes concentrating on a spell.
Call.
Winged creatures shrouded in eerie lights burst into existence on the sacrificial ground. Their celestial beauty is unmistakable but it’s tarnished by their empty eye sockets constantly weeping pale mist. The angels move like broken marionettes, singing otherworldly hymns as they methodically cut down patrons and slavers. Their distorted voices reverberate all around merging with the screams of the fleeing crowd uselessly thrashing against the arcane barrier.
“Well I couldn’t really have asked for a more clear signal.” Maximillian dashes between the market’s patrons, one after another they find their lungs and throats penetrated by an envenomed blade, drowning in their own fluids. He mumbles to himself. “You get the suffering you deserve…”
“Subtlety is out the window, huh?” Sarah is dealing with some of the guards, slamming them into the floor as they try to approach. Pure physical overpowering might, nothing else. Some try to sneak around, but none can avoid the Cyclops’ eye. She jumps them, making sure they can’t disrupt the others.
“Ah live a little, ain’t often we get to end a high profile group like this one. At least enjoy that fact a little.” Aoi is using her club to deal with some of the more powerful patrons, high profile targets that just need to be crushed, with pure, unrelenting Oni strength.
“Work is work, but I am glad we get to take care of vermin like this today. Even if it’s… in part for a strange ritual.” Cerne’s just launching cuts and strikes into the crowd, many patrons fall, having their extremities lost to the Centaur executioner’s blade.
As the slaughter rages, blood slowly begins to converge to the centre of the magic circle, it’s subtle at first but its movement becomes more and more visible with every death. The scarf drowns in it. The foul ichor engulfs the fabric completely forming an ever growing cocoon around it. Livia stands in front of the crimson chrysalis, like a child in awe, her gaze lingers before turning again toward the carnage. Once again magic concentrates all around her and is released with a single word.
Rise.
The mangled corpses suddenly begin to crawl. Animated with a single purpose they make their way toward the few resisting groups of survivors. The screams slowly fade as the remaining blood flows toward the coagulating husk. Livia shivers witnessing the horrifying hellscape she has created. She steels herself, knowing that he will never forgive her. A whisper escapes her lips. It’s an old promise from a distant past, a promise she could never break.
“No sin is too foul, no sacrifice is too great.”
A lone girl stands bloodied and broken in a field of corpses. She weeps as her heart grows colder. His fiery soul, defiant and unbroken, no longer faces the endless void inside her, but it now scorches her hands. Pain fades as the soul meets its new crimson host.
Livia’s hand lingers on the bloody chrysalis caressing it one last time as the world screams. It rages against what should not be. The all encompassing totality shrieks in horror witnessessing something foreign to itself. Maximilian, Sarah, Aoi, Cerne, the slaves and even the animated corpses turn toward her. Their souls and every cell in their body howls in unison against the vile mistake that taints reality. The ground itself contorts trying to ensnare and bury her body but it’s too late, the girl is gone. Only the World Ender remains.
It turns to meet their gaze with a gentle and uncaring smile. The corpses swarm its position but their lifeless bodies turn to ashes as the World Ender glances upon them. It unsheathes its blade, bloodied and broken, ready to protect the writhing cocoon. The arcane barrier flickers, another crowd is now thrashing against it. From the outside. They too yearn to erase the anomaly that desecrates their universe.
Maximillian stares at what used to be Livia, calling over and calming his companions. His wariness swiftly turns to a readiness to act.“I have a feeling… we’re no longer dealing with Livia here. Aoi, Cerne… retreat with the slaves… Now! Sarah, I’ll need you to bring Hirk to safety… when the time is right.” He sheaths his dagger, and grasps his golden longsword firmly, the jets on his gauntlets switch on. Primal fear runs through him, his instincts telling him to attack, but instead of listening to that voice in the back of his mind, he approaches with curiosity.
“I am here to bring back Hirk, and to save these people who were taken against their wills. Are you here to stop that, or are you merely a consequence of us trying to do so?”
After a seemingly endless instant of silence, It stops observing the multitude amassing around the fading barrier, turning toward Maximillian with impossible and uncaring grace. Its smile grows slightly warmer.
“I am merely a witness. This is my purpose.”
Its voice is soothing yet distant, as if trying to reassure a scared child.
“A witness, you say? What is it that you are here to witness?”
His mind is screaming at him to act, but he remains calm. To strike is to provoke. He’s a researcher, not a fool.
“The End. But I should not be here. Not yet.”
A veil of pale mist slowly begins to devour the World Ender. Reality is pushing back. It remains unfazed, Its gaze shifts back to the crumbling barrier. With impossible elegance it enters a guarding stance as the horde approaches.
“Witness. How long until the ritual finishes? I presume you’d know as much.”
He readies a bottle in his hand. A volatile corrosive agent, its contents bubbling violently as he holds it.
The World Ender glances back at the pulsating chrysalis, it is now dwarfing them both.
“I do not know. I will defend the ascending one. That’s why she brought me here. I think.”
“Ascending? Livia you…” His grip tightens firmly in anger, the bottle slightly cracking, the wraps on his blade squeaking.
“She can’t bear to be alone in her own darkness.”
It keeps smiling as it enters a more offensive stance, ready to face Maximillian.
“So be it. To interrupt it now would kill him. I shall stand beside you, and protect him.”
Its attention goes back to the demons, walking toward them with serene indifference.
“You are a kind one. Please, forgive us.”
“I’m not really one to forgive nor forget, but I also can’t blame either of you. I’ve suggested it to him many times myself… Sarah, keep an eye on… well, where Hirk should be soon. We’ll take care of these pests.”
Maximillian gets ready for combat, as Sarah nods to him and stands by the chrysalis.
The world Ender stands still as the creatures swarm its body, it cuts them down one by one with ruthless and graceful efficiency. In the rare instants of respite It glances longingly at the Chrysalis. Inexorably the mist continues to devour its body.
Maximillian tosses the bottle into the sky above a large group of demons, before firing a round from his trusty revolver, drawing it from his hip swiftly. The resulting corrosive splash seems to leave nothing of the assailants behind. He dashes forward, weaving strikes of his blade and fists with gunfire. He cannot cast, but this does not make him any less dangerous. The demons swing and miss, some even miss strikes they should have obviously hit, as if they simply got unlucky.
The surface of the crimson cocoon suddenly cracks, weak streams of blood seep out, tainting again the cursed ground. “Hey uhh, Max! It’s cracking!” Sarah stumbles backwards a little, trying to avoid the seeping blood.
The remaining demons turn to ashes and the World Ender calmly turns back, stepping closer to the red husk, its body is now completely engulfed in a cloak of white mist, more akin to a ghost than to a living being. It stops before the cracking shell and slashes it open with its sword, blood gushes out tainting its pure shroud. The World Ender basks in its warmth, its hand grazes the still unconscious body trapped inside the crumbling shell. Hirk’s heart beats faintly yet steadily. His new body breathes for the first time. The World Ender smiles brightly as it fades, erased by the mist and the universe finally stops screaming.
Hirk awakens, his body is his own, but it’s not him. Brought by dark rituals that should have been left just that, in the dark.
There is a deep pain in his soul, the fire rages. Untold thousands of souls be they slavers but still undeserving of being kindling scream, only to be burned from existence to strengthen him. It defies every single thing Hirk stands for. But he cannot reject it, expelling that much death given fire onto those that surround him is too cruel even for him.
Hirk cannot contain it, not as he is. He takes his crown heavy, not of its gold, iron and bronze but of sins still sung in the songs of the wind and the fae. He is the king of what is kindling as he is still one of them, his crown first of flame and then of metal forms around his head, the Kindling King only deserves fire after all. His souls brought closer even if not together cause him to grow to a staggering 9,8ft. The fire is contained for now.
“…”
Not a word is allowed to escape Hirk’s lips, any one could mean the death of others. He has what he always feared. Power. He simply stands there, crying a million screams, tears and pains. Never to be heard. The fire is deafening.
More demons approach, still haunted by the howling instinct that led the others to their End. With every step their rage fades. Pure dread ignites their hearts and yet they step closer like moths swarming to a flame. One by one they fall to their knees silently submitting to the mercy of Kindling King reborn from slaughter.
Maximillian watches as Hirk stands there, weeping. He slowly approaches, his companions are beside him as he holds up the pendant with its verdant gem… All 5 of them are encased in a green goo, before vanishing from the area.
A pointless epilogue:
The multitude still bickers and quarrels even as Craterus’ roar shakes Avernus. They cannot escape their malevolent nature. They do not fear the beast nor the invading hordes of Demogorgon. After all, their punishment is eternal. Their voices join in a single chorus to greet and mock the End that gracefully walks toward them.

Their malicious laughter reverberate once again around the accursed monument, but It does not care. Its distant smile does not waver. As It draws closer, candid ashes gently meet the infernal ground. The laughing choir breaks into an incomprehensible cacophony of screams. Yet the world does not howl in terror.

The World Ender now stands before the Pillar of Skulls, its eyes wander gracefully, looking for someone. Its hand delves into the pillar. The screams grow even stronger as the World Ender grasps its prey. Its arm retracts violently and fragments of broken skulls erupt from the shrieking pillar.
In its hands rests an old skull with birdlike features. The Skull doesn’t scream unlike its brethren. It sings a melody lost and forgotten to everyone but them. This time it is not tainted by sadness and regrets. The World Ender gently holds the skull, bringing it closer until their foreheads brush against each other. They are not alone anymore. The melody grows fainter as it approaches its End. As the Skull fades into immaculate ashes, finally free from its punishment, its last words echo with perfect clarity, hushing all the screams.
