6 Ways to Make Spotify Unblocked for School or Anywhere
Spotify is available in lots of places around the world, but sometimes you might get blocked when you are at your school or job, or the government blocks it. If you're a student and find that Spotify is blocked, it's essential to explore solutions or find other ways to listen to music. Here's this article that will take you cover.

Part 1. Why is Spotify Blocked in School?

Schools block Spotify and similar music apps to maintain smooth internet, minimize distractions, control online content, ensure network safety, and avoid legal issues.

Part 2. How to Fix Spotify Blocked in School?

If your school's internet is stopping you from using Spotify, don't worry, here are some ways you can still listen to music:
You can try accessing the Spotify web player instead of downloading the app. This allows you to listen to music without the need to install anything on the computer. Since it goes through a web browser, it might bypass some restrictions that the school has placed on downloading programs. Plus, you don't need administrator privileges to use the web player, making it the most convenient option for listening to Spotify music at school.
If your school blocks Spotify on its network, you can try using alternative internet connections to bypass this restriction:
  1. Use your smartphone's data plan to unblock Spotify. Simply turn off Wi-Fi on your device and switch to mobile data. This allows you to listen to music using Spotify's mobile app without relying on the school's Wi-Fi network.
  2. Connect to Personal Hotspot. If your smartphone supports it, you can enable a personal hotspot and connect your computer or other devices to it. This creates a separate internet connection using your phone's data, allowing you to access Spotify as you normally would.

2024.06.04 00:44 Ok-Astronomer5146 What is the best VPN for Netflix?

Ok, as the title says, I'm looking for the best VPN for Netflix. I've been researching the world of Netflix VPNs for the past few weeks and I'll share what I've found. But what are others using to access different Netflix libraries from around the world?
From what I see, there are five big-name VPNs that consistently work with Netflix.

1. NordVPN for Netflix

Based on my experience in using NordVPN for most of the past year, I found that this VPN can easily unlock Netflix. Depending on which server I connected to, I could unlock different Netflix libraries, gaining access to new shows.
NordVPN also works on Hulu, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime and BBC iPlayer.

2. Surfshark VPN for Netflix

My experience using Surfshark. Similar to NordVPN, I was able to unlock many Netflix regions quickly with Surfshark VPN servers. I never experienced the infamous proxy error, nor did my server get blacklisted. I found that Surfshark performed similarly on remote and close servers, and I never experienced lag.
Surfshark also works on Disney Plus, Hulu, BBC iPlayer, and Amazon Prime.

3. ExpressVPN for Netflix (Good, but expensive)

I have not tested this one. Anyone have any experience using ExpressVPN with Netflix? Is it worth the high price?

4. IPVanish

IPVanish claims to be the best VPN for Netflix on its website, but I did not have the best luck with it a few years ago. That said, a lot can change over time. I have not tried using this VPN with Netflix in years, so I'm curious to hear if anyone else has tried it.

VPNs that I found to not work with Netflix

Ok, I know Netflix and VPNs are a cat-and-mouse game, where Netflix will block some IP addresses, then the VPNs will get new IPs to unblock the service. That said, these are the VPNs that I've found to not work well with Netflix:
Ok, that summarizes my experience of testing out VPNs with Netflix. What VPNs do you use with Netflix?

2024.06.02 22:28 kinvoki Using Firewalla with iOS shortcuts ?

Hi .
With my old firewall I was able to use iOS shortcuts to control it (not directly, but via an API docker proxy). So I had a 1-press shortcut on my phone, it would trigger an API call to my SAN that ran a simple Sinatra app, that would in turn make an authenticated call to my old Firewall via API, to trigger commands.
Example:
I set up a shortcut on wife's and grandparents' phones to control Kids Wi-Fi (movies & gaming) - to simply turn it on and off. This way, I didn't give them admin access (or even had to explain how all of that worked). And they could unblock entertainment for kids, when they are done with homework.
It would be great to either have API access to Firewalla or even better - integrations with iOS shortcuts.
Alternatively, if I could give simplified non-admin access in the App to other users - that could work too.
I was wondering if anybody figured out any kind of solution / approach for this?

2024.05.31 22:12 femboypower1995 Oldschool Runescape is going down a terrifying path and I don't think it's going to end well.

You won't find another game that exists out there that so heavily follows what the players want. Is that a good thing? I really don't think so, and that is the catalyst of this entire post.
To put it simply, I don't think players know what is best for the game, and at best know what's best for *them*. People play this game, generally, and sadly, these days, to head towards goals. Any feedback any player gives is inherently going to be biased towards what will make their goals either feel more valuable or be easier to obtain. It will be biased towards whatever they personally like.
Having polls is one thing -- but recently Jagex has been taking feedback into account. I cannot imagine the people giving feedback account for more than 1% of the playerbase, and if this feedback comes from Reddit or Twitter then this is going to be even more skewed. So we have a situation where a minority of biased individuals are heavily influencing the game for all players. Now, can someone tell me how this is exactly a good thing?
The reason the polls exist at all is because Jagex wanted to "do things right" and "gain players trust". I think they've done that, and lets not forget this player trust lead to awful things such as the giga slayer cave, nightmare zone, money snake, all things with large inherent negatives that linger to this day -- some more heavily than others.
I think that we have yet to see the negatives that our current era of updates will bring to the game, it will only become obvious after some time, and I think the only way to fix things is to acknowledge there are issues to begin with and to stop taking feedback and to stop polling things so heavily.
Here are a list of reasons why polls are negative aspects to the game:
1) It stifles artistic creativity
2) It causes developers to worry that whatever they make may be voted no to
3) It wastes development time
4) It favors updates that players are biased towards (updating for personal interests over the games interest)
5) It creates a toxic environment in some situations, causing people to be negative to each other due to poll questions
6) The polls themselves can be heavily influenced by streamers, twitter users, youtubers, people on reddit who cheat their threads to the front page (yes this happens), and other various smaller things
7) It spoils and ruins updates before they come out, in most games when an update comes out, especially old runescape, itd come out and players would discover it together, this really doesn't exist in the same degree anymore
8) Sometimes, polls don't even matter. I.E. Teas passing polls but not being added.
8 is one of the most egregious examples of the negatives of the system, a thing the majority wants that a minority vetoes because of their own personal interests.
I can't think of any more, but hey, I'm sure there are, but lets be fair and list the pros that polls have as well, lets try to come up with the best argument for their existence in a numbered list and extrapolate a bit on it.
1) They make sure that nothing is added to the game that players wouldnt want
2) They act as a form of player and community engagement and a way to further tease future updates
3) They promote discussion of the game in general
4) They give the community confidence that the game will maintain the status quo and continue to improve (assuming you are a part of the larger % of people that actually enjoy most updates and the decisions that are made)
5) They help the developers get a more objective and measurable idea of what features and things players want.
I think this is a generally accurate idea of the bros and cons of both, if I missed something please let me know, maybe you thought of something I didn't even consider. But I would like to remark on point 5 for a bit and come back to this point. "things players want." Why is what players want a good thing? Imagine for a second, From Software let players design.. the next entry to the series in some vague point in the past or even the present. People would (the majority) almost assuredly ask for something like.. Bloodborne 2.. but then we wouldn't have got Sekiro. Dark Souls 4.. but then we wouldn't have got Elden Ring.. Elden Ring 2.. but then we wouldn't get whatever original and creatively free expression of ideas that they had in mind, because they are artists in their craft following their ideas as a team, and not subject to the whims and personal biases of a group of players who are not trained and most likely are not artists.
Do you see the issue here?
This system feels almost self defeating, cannibalistic, backwards. Who lets the car driver design the car and do the work of an engineer? The reasons why people feel like they are owed this system as well come from an inherently biased place. If you ask most people they'd say they don't trust jagex, or something of that regard. But I just don't think that that is an actual thing people actually believe. If you didn't trust Jagex then why do you enjoy all of the various things that they've added that weren't polled? And personally, some of these unpolled ideas and pieces of content are some of the best things added recently. If you don't trust them why do you give them you account information? If you don't trust them then why do you think they will follow the poll results in general (when they haven't in the past?)
I think people just don't like change, they want to feel a part of the process, they follow what the loudest voice is, and they follow their own interests. I don't think any of this is actually in ANYONES interest though. As players we should and would be happier enjoying the world as it changes and grows without the need to give input to any of the artists creating it, and the creators should be able to express themselves without the worries of what players are constantly asking for or may complain about next seemingly randomly.
No other game does this. No game needs to do this. The closest is western early access indie games with a larger audience. This happens occasionally there, and from my experience it frustrates the developers and the changes are added in a way to appeal to this loud, loud, small, small minority.
We need to change, OSRS is not going down a positive path, people inherently play differently and in my mind incorrectly. Just vibe, stop using the game as a proxy for self fulfillment and just enjoy it as a game. Jagex. At LEAST stop asking for written feedback. Ignore it completely. Stop letting a biased group of people alter the game.

Part 1: How to Get Spotify Unblocked at School or Workplace?

1.1 Get Spotify Unblocked with Proxy Server

While utilizing a proxy server to unblock Spotify at work or school is free, it poses risks like data mining. If you opt to proceed at your own discretion, follow these steps:
Step 1 Open the Spotify app and access "Settings".
Step 2 Locate "Proxy Settings" and choose "No proxy" under "Proxy type".
Step 3 Click on "Restart App" to unblock Spotify at school or workplace.

1.2 Get Spotify Unblocked with Web Player

Chances are that school and workplace administrations aren't thinking that far ahead, blocking the Spotify web player. In that case, you can open a browser and open the Spotify Web Player. Just log in with your credentials and unblock the Spotify web player. If the web player has also been blocked, you need to try some other methods.

2024.05.28 05:53 AdditionalHandle3594 Resolving the Instagram Open Proxy Error

What Does Open Proxy Mean on Instagram?

Instagram has stringent rules regarding its usage, and encountering an "Open Proxy" error indicates that you won't be able to access the app or website from the device using the flagged IP address. This typically means Instagram has banned your IP, rejecting all data requests sent from it.

What May Cause This?

  1. Excessive liking, commenting, or following/unfollowing accounts.
  2. An IP address associated with past malicious activities on the platform.
  3. Using public Wi-Fi that has been exploited for malicious purposes.
  4. Unrecognized login attempts or posting unusual content.
  5. Clicking on links from unfamiliar sources.

How to Fix Instagram Open Proxy Error?

The first step is to try unblocking access directly through Instagram support, though success is often limited, especially if your actions still violate the platform's rules. Another option is using an Instagram proxy. An Instagram proxy acts as an intermediary server, masking your device’s IP address and providing an additional layer of privacy and security. This setup allows your device to communicate with Instagram via the proxy server, which forwards your requests on your behalf.

The Power of Instagram Unblock Proxy

Beyond resolving IP bans, Instagram proxies offer various advantages, such as managing multiple accounts, growing followers, and scraping information. Here’s what you can do with Instagram unblock proxies:
  1. Access Unblocked: Proxies can help bypass restrictions in workplaces, educational institutions, or countries. While VPNs provide comprehensive security and privacy, proxies are faster as they do not encrypt the entire internet connection.
  2. Manage Multiple Accounts: Instagram allows up to five accounts per user. Proxies are essential for handling more than a few accounts, preventing your IP from being flagged by Instagram.
  3. Grow Followers: Multiple accounts with unique profiles and content strategies can attract more followers. While this approach may not be entirely ethical, adhering to Instagram’s guidelines ensures sustainable growth.

How to Use Instagram Proxy Effectively?

  1. Assign One Account per Proxy: Allocate just one account to a distinct proxy to prevent potential banning issues. Choose high-quality, reputable proxy providers with IP rotation and advanced security features.
  2. Scrape Slowly: Use web scraping tools or custom scripts in programming languages like Python. Mimic human behavior by adding random pauses between requests and limiting concurrent requests.
  3. Avoid Free Proxies: Free proxies are often unreliable and insecure. They are usually overcrowded, slow, and may not provide privacy or anonymity. Known free proxy IP addresses are actively blocked by Instagram.
OkeyProxy is a top choice for Instagram proxies. Offering rotating residential, static residential, and data center proxies, OkeyProxy’s rotating residential proxies, obtained from authentic residential users, make your Instagram bot nearly identical to real users, allowing you to automate tasks without the risk of being blocked.

2024.05.27 05:56 AdditionalHandle3594 How To Unblock YouTube: 5 Effective Methods

How To Unblock YouTube: 5 Effective Methods

Why Is YouTube Unblocked

1. Network Blocks By Schools Or Workplaces

Educational institutions and workplaces frequently block access to YouTube to manage children’s screen time, prevent exposure to inappropriate content, or maintain employee productivity. Network administrators achieve this by applying filters that enforce network-level restrictions, controlling which websites can be accessed.

2. Geographic Restrictions And Government Censorship

YouTube has faced bans in numerous countries over the years. Some governments censor YouTube content not only due to licensing or copyright concerns but also to control information flow and restrict access to content deemed inappropriate or harmful. In some instances, religious or political reasons have led to YouTube being blocked.

3. Regional And Broadcasting Rights Restrictions

Content licensing for streaming services is often done on a country-by-country basis. Consequently, a movie or TV show available in the United States might not be licensed for broadcast in Australia or Canada. YouTube enforces these restrictions by blocking videos in regions where they lack the necessary licenses.

How To Unblock YouTube

Unblocking YouTube generally involves masking your IP address or rerouting your internet connection through a server in a region where YouTube is accessible. This makes it appear as though you are accessing the internet from a different location, thereby bypassing the block.

1. VPNs

VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) connect your device to a remote server via an encrypted connection, assigning a virtual IP address to mask your original one. This allows you to bypass regional restrictions and access YouTube globally. While many paid VPN options offer robust security, free VPNs often have data limits and may compromise your privacy by selling user data or displaying malware-infected ads. Additionally, some countries have strict regulations on VPN usage, so it's essential to understand local laws before using a VPN.

2. Proxy Servers

Proxy servers function similarly to VPNs by connecting you to the internet through an intermediary server, making it appear as though you’re in a different location. Proxies can also mask your IP address, allowing you to bypass various firewalls and geographic restrictions. For example, OkeyProxy is a top-ranked Socks5 proxy provider with over 150 million real residential IPs across 200+ countries, offering precise targeting by city and ISP.

3. Browser Add-ons

Depending on your browser, you can install add-ons to unblock YouTube. These extensions are quick and easy solutions when installing a VPN is not feasible. They work with most popular web browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and other anti-detect browsers.

4. Using Tor Browser

The Tor browser is a free, open-source browser focused on user privacy and anonymity. It can unblock YouTube by routing your connection through multiple servers before reaching its destination. This multi-layered routing makes it difficult to track your online activities, though it often results in slower browsing speeds compared to VPNs or proxies. Note that Tor has a negative reputation due to its association with illegal activities on the dark web, so use it cautiously and lawfully.

5. Using Google Translate

Google Translate can also be used to unblock YouTube. By searching for the video in a different language and translating the URL to English, you can access YouTube. However, this method may not work for all videos and can result in slower loading times and lower video quality.

Precautions When Unblock YouTube

While unblocking YouTube can help bypass restrictions, it's crucial to use these methods responsibly. Be aware that using such tools might violate workplace, school, or even national policies and laws. Always understand the potential risks and legal implications before attempting to unblock YouTube.

2024.05.24 05:46 ColdAppointment7899 Websites suddenly got unbanned for me

I've been experiencing a strange internet connection problem for weeks. I noticed that the ping on servers located in Bahrain and the Middle East, in general, has increased drastically from 15-25 to 120 and above.
At the same time, I noticed a sudden unblocking of all banned websites in the UAE, such as gambling sites and hack forums, on my end. I tried this on both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers.
Later, I visited these websites using Firefox and received a message indicating that the website was blocked in the UAE with Etisalat's logo.
I thought the issue might be related to my Chrome extensions, so I deleted all of them, but the problem persisted. I even reset the browser entirely, yet the issue remained. I couldn't understand the connection between browsers and games in the first place.
Solutions Tried:
  1. Checked DNS settings, and everything seemed normal.
  2. Deleted and reinstalled both browsers, but the issue persisted.
  3. Deleted ExitLag and still faced the same problem.
  4. Installed Kaspersky antivirus and it reported everything as normal.
  5. Ran Speedtest on Bahrain servers, and the ping was normal (21).
  6. Executed commands:
    • netsh winsock reset
    • netsh int ip reset
    • ipconfig /release
    • ipconfig /renew
    • ipconfig /flushdns
  7. Used Google DNS and flushed DNS using the command ipconfig /flushdns.
  8. Verified that my device wasn't using any proxy or unfamiliar DNS.
  9. Ensured that settings were automatic in both IPv4 and DNS.
  10. Checked background programs, but everything seemed normal.
  11. Restarted the router.
  12. Tried using my laptop, and I faced the same issues.
  13. Tried using my mobile phone, and I didn't face the issue.
Despite trying all these solutions, I'm still facing the same problem (High ping in-game and unbanned websites). Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

2024.05.23 04:09 purplevalentines Our Public IP Blocked by Ticketmaster

Hello Reddit Community,
Original Post [Summary]:
We've been experiencing some issues with our Public IP recently. No changes have been made within the past year, but now we are finding that sites are blocking our Public IP because their systems are detecting our IP as a Bot or Proxy. Ticketmaster is just one of the many sites that is currently blocking us. Ticketmaster support said that our IP is being blocked due to belonging to a banned hosting service and that the block could not be undone.
Besides using a different IP/provider what else can we do? Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Secondary Post [More Details]:
We're facing a significant issue with Ticketmaster that we hope someone here can help us resolve. We are an enterprise company, and our primary internet IP address has been blocked by Ticketmaster. Their Service Resolution Team informed us that the block is due to our IP belonging to a banned hosting service, and they stated that this block cannot be undone. They advised us to use a different IP or provider, but this is not a feasible solution for us. Our on prem infrastructure is hosted and internet is provided by Equinix.
Key Points:
Enterprise Company: We are a large organization, and switching to a new internet service provider is not economical or practical. Implementing a new internet service could also potentially lead to the same problem in the future.
Lack of Support: Ticketmaster's Service Resolution Team has refused to engage further or provide a clear path to resolve this issue.
Industry Standards: Other enterprise companies like Microsoft 365, OpenDNS, Talos, FedEx, and Purolator have established protocols for submitting requests to unblock IP addresses. It seems reasonable to expect a similar level of support from Ticketmaster.
Our Ask:
Advice and Support: If anyone has experience dealing with similar issues or has contacts within Ticketmaster who could assist, we would greatly appreciate your help.
Escalation Paths: Any information on how to escalate this issue within Ticketmaster or alternative solutions to bypass this block without changing our ISP.
This situation is affecting our employees' ability to order and purchase tickets through Ticketmaster, which is a significant inconvenience for our team. We believe there should be a fair and reasonable way to address and resolve this block.

Thank you in advance for any assistance or advice you can provide.

10 Reliable ExtraTorrent Proxy Sites (ALL WORKING!)
A proxy site acts as an intermediary, mirroring the original website to connect users to the content they seek. In the case of ExtraTorrents, these proxy sites replicate the torrent directory, allowing users to download the same digital content that was once available on ExtraTorrents.
These proxy sites are hosted in regions where ExtraTorrents isn’t blocked, enabling users to bypass geo-restrictions. Therefore, even if ExtraTorrents is blocked in your country, you can still access its content through an ExtraTorrents proxy site.

How ExtraTorrent Proxy Sites Work

Similar to other torrent platforms like The Pirate Bay and YIFY, ExtraTorrents has its own set of mirror or proxy sites.
An ExtraTorrents proxy serves as a bridge between the user and ExtraTorrents. When you navigate to an ExtraTorrents proxy, the proxy site connects to the servers and databases where ExtraTorrents’ data is stored.
The proxy then retrieves the web pages, torrent files, and any other content you request and presents them to you. This process enables you to access ExtraTorrents even when the primary site is blocked or unavailable.
Additionally, the proxy conceals your IP address, effectively hiding your identity and geographical location. This is particularly useful if ExtraTorrents is restricted by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or by your country’s regulations. In essence, proxies offer a smart and efficient solution to regain access to ExtraTorrents through cached versions.

Its proxy services typically boast numerous servers across various locations, enhancing both reliability and performance for accessing blocked content.

Is Torrenting Legal?

A prevalent query surrounding torrent downloads is the legality of the practice. In essence, torrenting is legal. Torrenting content from the public domain or legally sanctioned sources is entirely permissible. Games, movies, and files made available by creators can be safely torrented. However, engaging in the downloading and distribution of copyrighted material constitutes an illegal activity.
In instances where copyrighted content is involved, you may face legal repercussions from the copyright owner, as this falls under the umbrella of piracy. Conversely, if you are sharing content that is not protected by copyright, torrenting remains a legal activity.
Employing good judgment and torrenting responsibly is paramount. For added anonymity, consider using a VPN or proxy while navigating the torrenting landscape. OkeyProxy, a dedicated proxy provider, offers an effective solution for unblocking restricted websites.

2024.05.16 17:48 PsychologicalLie6455 Fynn, the Fangbearer destroying our pod!

Title.
We have a group of 5-6 friends and we usually play and end up 3-4 each friday.
2 of them are newer and are still getting used to MTG. Myself and the rest of the group have been playing for 2-6 years, we're somewhat competitive but our rules are pretty simple: No infinite combos, No proxies.
Outside of that our decks are pretty straight forward, we all play staples and whatnot.
I mostly play Yuriko or Edgar Markov Vampire Tribal. Most decks are pretty strong but get real momentum on turn 3+.
One of them has a relatively cheap Fynn, the Fangbearer deck.
Holy shit!
Turn 1: 1 drop 1/1 deathtouch Turn 2: Fynn drop + attack = 2 poison counters Turn 3: +1-2 additional 1/1 deathtouch drops (more if sol ring or other mana ramp because green)
By turn 4 it can get pretty devastating, had an enchantment that made creatures with low power unblockable, he could basically 1 shot anyone at that point. He also rocks proliferate so even if you lock Fynn down, he can sometimes just proliferate and kill everyone after a few turns if the game ends up being a drag.
I know most people will say just remove him or counter him, but turn 2-3 removal is often not possible. Also, if our pod happens to have 1-2 of our newer players, they dont really have time to see shit coming haha.
What would you do in this situation? Build a bit more around removal? Most games we can manage him and focus him, but with deathtouch, it almost seems like removal is the only way to go. We still love playing against it and see it as a challenge. It's funny as the deck costs pennies compared to some of our other decks lol.

2024.05.15 18:33 Cvz200 Your New, Final, Efficient Hunter Rumour Strategy

With the latest (and likely last) reworking of rumours, the optimal strategies have changed once more.
Expert rumours are in an excellent place again, and Master rumours are absolutely fantastic.
If you're 72-91 Hunter, follow this guide on getting set up for Expert rumours. If you're 91+, skip to the end for your Master rumour setup. If you're pet-hunting, there are some goodies at the end too.

Step 0: What's a Block List?

Guild Hunters cannot assign rumours already assigned by another Guild Hunter. Leaving an assigned rumour undone, then, functions as a block.
You'll want to receive all your rumours from one particular Guild Hunter, using the other Guild Hunters to block less desirable rumours.

Step 1: Teco or Aco?

There are two Expert Guild Hunters, Teco and Aco. Which should you use?
If you can access Necropolis, use Aco as your rumour-giver. Otherwise, use Teco.
Only Aco can assign Orange Salamanders, which become one of your very best rumours after you unlock the Necropolis Hunter area. Aco also assigns Moonlight Moths which are better than Teco's Sunlight Moths.
But Orange Salamanders are mediocre without Necropolis, at which point you should prefer Teco's slightly smaller rumour list.

Step 2: Is Gilman Worth It?

Should you try and use Gilman to block a rumour? Using him means getting an extra block, but he assigns every possible rumour, so farming up a good block can be tricky. Here's how to make that call:
If you'll be doing Expert rumours for at least 7 hours, use Gilman. Otherwise, don't use him.
With an optimal approach, it'll take an average of 23 rumours to set up a a block list without Gilman. With Gilman, it'll take an average of 35 rumours. Depending on your Hunter level, your efficiency, your gear, etc., it'll take roughly 7 hours of doing Experts with your block-list before you break even on the extra time spent setting up Gilman.

Step 3a: Setting Up Without Gilman

Here's what you'll want blocked:
If you're setting up your block list from scratch, you'll want to start with Teco/Aco, depending on which one you're using. The rumour you block with Teco/Aco will determine how you'll set up the rest of your block list.
Teco/Aco (Expert): Sabre-toothed Kyatts OR Sabre-toothed Kebbits OR Grey Chinchompas
If Teco/Aco blocks Sabre-toothed Kyatts, pursue these blocks in this order:
If Teco/Aco blocks Sabre-toothed Kebbits, pursue these blocks in this order:
If Teco/Aco blocks Grey Chinchompas, pursue these blocks in this order:
If you're not setting up from scratch, there's not much to be gained by all this strategizing; just fill in blocks where you need them.

Step 3b: Setting Up With Gilman

Here's what you'll want blocked:
If you're setting up your block list from scratch, you'll want to start with Gilman. The rumour you block with Gilman will determine how you'll set up the rest of your block list.
Gilman (Novice): Sabre-toothed Kyatts OR Sabre-toothed Kebbits OR Grey Chinchompas OR Sunlight Antelope
If Gilman blocks Sabre-toothed Kyatts, pursue these blocks in this order:
If Gilman blocks Sabre-toothed Kebbits, pursue these blocks in this order:
If Gilman blocks Grey Chinchompas , pursue these blocks in this order:
If Gilman blocks Sunlight antelope, follow the strategy for Teco, Ornus, and Cervus in Step 3a.

Step 3c: Setting Up After 91 Hunter

If you've previously set up an Expert block list before reaching level 91 Hunter, simply add a block for Red Chinchompas with Wolf.
If you're setting up your Expert block list for the first time, I'd recommend following Step 3b: Setting Up with Gilman. Aco/Teco and Wolf can combine to block both Sunlight Antelope and Red Chinchompas.
But if you're serious about doing rumours post level 91 Hunter, I would strongly recommend the new Master rumour meta, sketched out below.

Addendum: Master Rumours

With the new update, Master rumours are in a fantastic place. For the first time, they're better than Experts.
Red Salamanders and Red Chinchompas were added to the Adept list, Moonlight Moths, Tecu Salamaders, and Herbiboar were added to the Expert list, and Sunlight Moths were removed from the Master list.
Here's your block list:
You'll definitely want to block Sunlight Antelope, but it's down to preference after that.
With these blocks, you only have three possible rumours: Dashing Kebbits, and whichever two remaining rumours went unblocked. This should be blazingly efficient, both for experience and rumours per hour.

Addendum: Pet Hunting

Even with the upgraded Master rumours, pet hunters without any Hunter pets should go with Expert rumours, using Teco as their rumour-giver.
Block: Red Salamanders, Sunlight Antelope, Sunlight Moths, Sabre-toothed Kebbits, and Sabre-toothed Kyatts.
Here's the list:
With this setup, you'll be doing Grey Chinchompas, Red Chinchompas, Dark Kebbits, Dashing Kebbits, and Herbiboar. Three-fifths of your rumours will be pet-eligible, and you'll finish slightly more rumours per hour than a correspondingly optimized Master setup.

2024.05.15 10:30 Pigik83 What is a web unblocker and how does it work?

Hey everyone!
I recently dove deep into the fascinating world of web unblockers and thought I'd share some insights that might just change how you see internet restrictions and web scraping. You might already know that web unblockers are like secret passageways that let you sneak past internet censorship or geofencing. Think of them as VPNs on steroids, allowing not just encrypted data transfer for privacy but also unrestricted browsing freedom.
But here's where it gets really interesting, especially for folks in the web scraping arena. Web unblockers serve as these powerful APIs designed to outsmart anti-bot protections. They’re like the ninjas of the internet, using tactics such as IP rotation, browser fingerprinting, CAPTCHA solving, and even Javascript rendering to access the data we need.
Now, you might think a proxy does the job by changing your IP address. But web unblockers? They're the whole package, offering a bunch more than just a disguise. Yet, it's not all smooth sailing. No single web unblocker can claim victory over every anti-bot mechanism out there. Tech giants like Cloudflare are in constant evolution, crafting more complex defenses to keep bots at bay.
This is exactly why I conducted the Great Web Unblocker Benchmark. It's a showdown to see how different web unblockers stack up against the toughest anti-bot solutions in the wild. Sure, there's a price tag attached to these unblockers, but picking the right one isn't just about spending money—it's about investing in seamless data access for our projects.
In the end, the key takeaway is weighing the cost against the potential to maintain an uninterrupted data flow for our customers. Let's keep pushing the envelope and finding the best tools to navigate these challenges together.
Cheers to an open and accessible web for all our scraping needs!

One year of solution architecture schematics🧱
One year ago, I borrowed my wife’s iPad to illustrate a solution architecture idea that I was struggling to communicate using my normal tools. After 400 hrs creating in Procreate, I drew this same concept that got me in to the world of technical software illustration. Day-to-day it’s hard to see growth, so I love visual side by side reminders like this.
Some learnings: - I wasn’t actually that bad at drawing a year ago as that first illustration will try to make you believe 😆. Procreate isn’t* designed for this use case, at least on the surface. Ex: there’s no obvious rule straughtline in the UI. Because it’s such a popular iPad app though, there are niche communities who have built content, brushes, products to support architects in the platform. I’m always finding more resources to help me grow my toolbox. Same goes for Figma if you’re not trying to design an app (like making a zine). Communities mixed with an open platform are incredibly powerful.
  • Vector 🥊 raster for lofi: most architectural and data schematic tooling is vector-based meaning that math (code) is rendering the images. This is awesome for precision plans and tiny details but is actually super confining and sterile when trying to illustrate a concept that’s more inspiration than final product. There’s always a time to move it out of pixels, but I found that I could get further and further with new tools and techniques.
  • If you’re lacking inspiration, use a new container. The blank page is sometimes scary, so I found starting with a new form such as an 8 page zine or a comic strip provides a helpful creative constraint to the work. Either the work evolved in that form or it unblocked me to come back to the original blank page.
  • I’m still looking for the right tool. I’ve tried so many, but I’ve always come back to the universal applicability of Procreate. Here’s why. Most architectural and technical drawing applications were built for desktop computers many years ago, which has led to a few problems. 1) they are designed under the assumption you’re using a large screen, a mouse, and a keyboard to manipulate the interface. These programs are actually referred to as “direct manipulation interface programs” but it’s actually pretty “indirect” from a human-computer interaction perspective. What’s the most direct way to interact with an interface? You’re hands (and by proxy a tool like pencil), which means an iPad + pencil is actually perfect! The problem? 2) The big players like Autodesk and Adobe are incredibly slow to move over to the new platforms and who would blame them: they have locked in big contracts, very expensive licenses, and essentially cornered a market to work with them. Their iPad apps are sorry paired down versions of their desktop siblings and super clunky to the point of being unusable. Then a small development studio out of Tasmania creates natively where the market should be going and only then do the others have to scramble.
