Did I get scammed?
Hello together, I just bought an allegedly brand new Laptop (HP Victus) from computer universe. It came without an OS so I was already a little surprised to see multiple partitions upon installing windows for the first time.
Now I had a look at the serial number on HP website and it shows only 4 months coverage left. This apperantly is an issue more people in the internet faced and can be quite normal, as far as I understand?
But then I looked a little deeper in my folder structures and found some quite old windows folders. Some of them even from before the waranty start date.
Is it possible that the manufacturer puts on an OS to test the laptop before shipping or did I get sold a refurbed for the money of a new one?
I really dont have a deep knowledge of PCs so I would be really glad if someone can help me. I will try to post a picture of some older folders.

2024.06.05 10:32 Wwaitimgoated seeking relationship advice/ venting

hi this is my first time posting
I’ve been diagnosed with BPD for about a year but it’s been this looming presence that has genuinely plagued me and made my living experience harder for longer than that. Im sort of at a breaking point where I just need to vent and talk about it. Nobody but my boyfriend and therapist know that I have it but neither of them have BPD. I feel so lonely and isolated. I feel like im nothing like other people and I’ve always been this person who is not really permanent in anyone’s lives. It feels like I’ve never really fit in or connected with other people very well and if I did it was brief. I’ve kind of accepted being misunderstood a lot but as I get older it’s getting so unbearable and lonely and cold. I really feel the need for validation from someone who understands how this shit feels and can make me feel less alone I’m in the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve driven them away with my behavior several times now and it feels sickening. I have only ever been in one (abusive) relationship, so I’m not even sure how people interact in normal relationships and im always on high alert as a result of my previous relationship traumas. That with the BPD has just genuinely almost ruined this beautiful relationship I have with this person and I’m having a lot of trouble not hating myself for it. I get really upset and accuse my boyfriend of things that aren’t even true, or overthink about random worst case scenarios until they become reality in my mind and cause real issues over the fake ones I made up in my head. I cry over everything and get mad over everything he does and lash out and make him feel really bad. Sometimes something unrelated to him triggers me and then I act upset with him and it’s just so awful. I’ve made him cry a lot and I hate my self for it. I don’t want to push this person away and hurt them. I want to let him in and let him love me.
I’ve spent the past months of our relationship so scared he was going to leave me that I was actually miserable. The level of attachment I had with him at first was really scary and quite concerning. I cut off all my friends to focus on him despite him never asking for that. I started to listen to only the kind of music he likes, watch what he likes, just basically become exactly like him. I started to beat myself up over every single interaction and think that everytime I said something embarrassing he was going to leave me. Everytime he was at school I was convinced he was cheating. When he would fall asleep at night I would spam call his phone for hours. Like do nothing but sit there and call him. I stopped doing all my hobbies to spend every second of free time with him and even let school slip to focus on him and if I had to do school or out something else before him I would get extremely upset and usually cry even though he would say it was okay. I get sad when I think of that poor girl and how desperately she wanted to be loved. Mind you all this wasn’t because he was controlling me I did it on my own because I couldn’t stand leaving even an inch of doubt that he might leave me, but really I was just making myself worse. Therapy and stuff has helped this out a little bit but it’s just barely manageable.
I started to just get super depressed and just into a very bad mind space spending all day every day overthinking and miserable and unable to rest despite having been given no reason to. He’s never once broke my trust. I haven’t felt like a normal person since being with him and it’s because of this disorder. I just want to be a normal person who can be in a relationship and also have a life. Im so ready to stop letting this disorder control me. Im so tired of having the self awareness and knowledge to know exactly what im doing and what patterns im repeating and feeling like I am at the mercy of BPD regardless. I am ready to work and change and grow with someone. Him being a stable presence in my life has slowly helped but I need to do the work on my own too or this won’t work. I want to have a relationship, man. That’s it. I want to be loved and to give love despite BPD. I want to let someone in without fear. How do you guys do it if any of you are in long term relationships with BPD? Is there anything that your partner does that helps the relationship work with bpd?How do you overcome that fear of letting someone in and the extremely intense feeling of wanting to push them away or the intense negative feelings towards them? Furthermore, how do I not hate myself for this. I have trouble looking in the mirror knowing what kind of person I am and how I treat the one I love. I can’t stop hurting knowing that I keep ruining the one thing I care about maintaining. I feel like I can’t stop and im so frustrated and stuck and I don’t like my own company right now at all. It’s hard to be alone lately because I just genuinely can’t stop thinking about how bad I feel for literally every aforementioned thing I’ve done wrong in the relationship. How do you guys manage to not let this derail ur relationships and lives lmk😭🙏🏻 it’s genuinely extremely emotionally painful and draining and I can’t lie I don’t think I would wish this disorder on my worst enemy

2024.06.05 10:32 Beginning-Incident86 Recommendations needed

Hey! So I’ve been telling myself that this summer is the year I want to write either a short story or a script (most likely story) but I’m finding it hard to just start the process and stick to one route of what genre or idea to write. I feel like I’m putting pressure on myself to come up with something really original with no hint of anything I’ve read before but ofcourse it’s literally the first proper piece of work I want to write I just need to relax and let myself write. I’m just struggling between whether I was to go down a route of a more dystopian-drama sort of novel/novella or something more mundane about life / life experiences basically something more relatable and raw.
Sorry it got abit waffley there but generally any advice for (essentially) a first time writer, advice on the process (or whether this is something I will just figure out for myself), and where to begin really! Would be really appreciated.
Just a side note I’ve written like reaaaaally short pieces before like not more than 5 pages and usually descriptive pieces rather than a story but I’m aiming for something like 30-50 pages this time.. and maybe more if it goes well.
Thanks!!

2024.06.05 10:31 Party_Captain_9585 Key Information and Clarifications on EWS Certificate, Seat Acceptance, and Branch Upgradation for JAC Delhi 2024

Key Information and Clarifications on EWS Certificate, Seat Acceptance, and Branch Upgradation for JAC Delhi 2024

EWS Certificate Requirements

  • Issuance: Your EWS certificate can be issued by any state.
  • Validity: It must be issued after March 31, 2024, to be considered valid.
https://preview.redd.it/7g1urhs4qp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=417f9dd123688546ebf5784a2b627da7483df2bf

Seat Acceptance and Physical Reporting:

  • Eligibility: To be eligible for subsequent rounds of seat allocation, you must pay the seat acceptance fee and complete the physical reporting process.
  • Float Option: Only after completing these steps can you opt for the "float" option, allowing your branch to be upgraded in Rounds 2, 3, 4, or 5.
  • Non-Eligibility: If you fail to pay the fee, you will not be eligible for further rounds of seat allocation.

Initial Seat Allotment and Reporting:

  • Mandatory Actions: It is mandatory to pay the seat acceptance fee and complete physical reporting when you are allotted a seat for the first time in any round.
    • For example, if you are allotted a seat in IGDTUW (Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence) in the first round, you must pay the fee and physically report to the institution.
    • If you are later allotted a seat in NSUT (Electronics and Communication Engineering) in a subsequent round, you do not need to pay the fee again or physically report again.
  • Eligibility Maintenance: This process ensures that you remain eligible for further rounds of seat allocation and potential branch upgrades. Remember, you only need to complete the payment and physical reporting once when you first receive a seat allotment.

Important Guidelines for Reserved Category Admissions:

  1. Mandatory Caste/Category Certificate in Candidate’s Name:
    • Candidates seeking admission under reserved categories must present the caste/category certificate issued in their own name during counselling.
    • Certificates issued in the name of parents or other family members are not acceptable.
    • Failure to provide the correct certificate will result in the candidate being ineligible for even provisional admission.
  2. State/Region-Specific Reservation Certificate:
    • The reservation certificate must be issued by the state/region where the reservation is claimed.
    • For example, a candidate claiming a seat reserved for the Delhi Region category must provide an SC/ST/OBC certificate issued by the Government of NCT of Delhi.
    • Additionally, the candidate must have passed the qualifying examination from a School/College/Institute located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
    • Central certificates or certificates issued for job applicability are not valid for admission purposes.
  3. OBC (NCL) Certificate Requirements:
    • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must produce a caste certificate issued after March 31, 2024, from the competent authorities.
    • If the certificate is issued before March 31, 2024, it must be accompanied by an additional certificate confirming the present non-creamy layer status.
    • This additional certificate must reference the original caste certificate.
  4. Delhi Region OBC Reservation Specifics:
    • OBC candidates claiming reservation under the Delhi region must submit a certificate from the Competent Authority of the Government of NCT of Delhi.
    • Certificates issued by the Government of India or any other state governments are not accepted.
    • A certificate issued by a competent authority of Delhi based on a parent’s caste certificate from another state is accepted only if the caste is listed in the Central List of OBC for Delhi or the notified OBC list by the Government of NCT of Delhi.
    • Candidates should refer to the Delhi Government Revenue Department website for the official list.

Detailed Explanation of Physical Reporting and Seat Acceptance Process:

  1. Seat Acceptance Fee Payment:
    • Seat Allotment: If you are allotted a seat in any round, you must pay a seat acceptance fee of Rs. 95,000/-. Payment must be made through the ONLINE FEE PAYMENT GATEWAY of JAC Delhi 2024 according to the specified schedule.
      • You can initiate the payment process by logging into your account on the JAC website (jacdelhi.admissions.nic.in). The fee payment link will be available in your 'candidate login' immediately after the seat allotment results are declared.
    • Failure to Pay Fee: If you do not pay the required fee as per the counselling schedule, your allotted seat will be cancelled. You will not be considered for any seat allotment in subsequent rounds up to Round 5.
    • Payment Methods: The seat acceptance fee will not be accepted in the form of Demand Draft, Cheques, or Cash. Payment must be made strictly as per the counselling schedule. Keep a copy of the fee receipt printout for your records.
  2. Physical Reporting:
    • Document Verification: After paying the seat acceptance fee, you must report physically to the respective University/Institute for document verification. The admission committee will verify all documents and the status of fee payments.
      • If all documents are in order and the fee payment is successful, your admission will be confirmed. You can view the status of document verification in your login and print the provisional admission letter. Once the provisional admission letter is available in 'candidate login,' the admission process is complete.
    • Handling Document Deficiencies: If there are any deficiencies in your documents or if the academic fee has not been paid, your admission will be cancelled after that round.
      • Information about deficiencies will be provided to you on or before the specified date and time during each round of admission.
      • You can clear deficiencies by providing new or additional documents or paying the academic fee as required by the admission committee before the end of that round.
      • Once deficiencies are cleared, your admission will be confirmed.
    • Unresolved Deficiencies: If your admission is not confirmed due to unresolved deficiencies, you can be considered for seat allotment in the subsequent round with changed credentials. For example, if your OBC certificate is not valid as per JAC Delhi requirements, you can be considered for the next round as a General category candidate.
      • Refund of Seat Acceptance Fee: If you are not allotted any seat prior to the spot round as specified in the counselling schedule, the Seat Acceptance Fee paid by you will be refunded.

Detailed Explanation of Branch Upgradation Process:

  1. Automatic Upgradation:
    • If you are allotted a seat that is not your first choice, you may be upgraded to a more preferred branch/institute in subsequent rounds, depending on the availability of vacant seats. The upgradation is based on your merit in JEE (Main) 2024 or IIITD merit (for admission to IIIT-D).
  2. Upgradation Criteria:
    • Upgradation will occur automatically according to your merit and preference list. If a higher preference seat becomes available, you will be upgraded without any additional action required from you.
  3. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter:
    • If you get upgraded in a subsequent round of counselling, you should take a printout of the new provisional seat allotment letter for your records. This letter will reflect your new, upgraded seat allocation.
  4. No Need for Re-reporting:
    • If you are upgraded to a new branch or institute, you are not required to physically report to the upgraded University/Institute again. Your previous physical reporting and document verification will suffice for the new allotment.

By following these guidelines, candidates can ensure their eligibility and smooth participation in the admission process. For further queries, please contact the helpline.

2024.06.05 10:31 Fantastic_Set8169 Am I still on probation?

Hey guys, I was wondering if I am still on probation, I have been with a company for 4 months on minimum wage, the probationary period was 3 months but says that until written confirmation assume you are still on probation,
I was promised a pay rise after the probation, but nothing, I even had to remind my manager about me finishing the probation and the payrise and he went over it in 2 minutes, I have not gotten a written confirmation though,
I am looking for a new job and was wondering can I use the 1 week notice period as stated I am allowed in probationary period, or do I use the 4 week notice after probation has been passed, This is a small company with no HR lol
Please see the following in contract:
The first 3 months of the Appointment shall be a probationary period and the Appointment may be terminated during this period at any time on one week's notice by either party or, in the case of the Company, payment in lieu of notice. We may, at our discretion, extend the probationary period for up to a further 3 weeks. During the probationary period your performance and suitability for continued employment will be monitored.
2.6 At the end of the probationary period you will be informed in writing if you have successfully completed your probationary period. If you do not receive any written confirmation, you should assume that your probationary period continues.
Thanks, any little helps :)

Needed feedback on a functional print using PETG filament.
Hey guys! So I am trying to print a modular clamp for my desk. I have been using PETG and bed temp was 80°c for first layer and 75 for the others and bed temp was 240°c.
I was delusional enough to think I could print the screw hole without supports and as such it was a bit warped and did not fit the screw also facing a bit of stringing(as I understand it's fairly common with PETG) but I am a noob and wanted to see if there were any advice/suggestions for me to implement.
Thank you for your time!

The project was created in 2013 and is the first alias created by Serbian producer Marko Markovic -Omid Mosayebi (Омид МаЗајеби)- born in 1999 in Loznica. It is inspired by occultism, magic, extraterrestrial and space mysteries. Demons Are Black Holes offers a unique sound that represents hypnotic darkness and the way demons and other “evil and invincible interdimensional beings” affect human beings and other things related to occultism and deep space mysteries.
He recently released an extensive work on Tlaloc Records, the label run by Mogo, entitled Neutron Star. For which we present a premiere. He is back on the Mexican label again, returning quickly, with Alien, a work of four mixes that are at the same time special mixes and dub versions.
One of these versions is the Choronzon‘s 2024 Dub Version of Distorted Reality. Distorted Reality is the starting point in the language. While the sound of that seeks to dissolve it in perception. The sound design enables dark, bright, and thick structures, through which agility and techno subtlety run in ways that dissolve into lush trance and classic sounds.

[F4A] Becoming Friends with Your Barista [Strangers to Friends] [Invitation] [Cat Cafe] [Barista] [Sharing Interests] [Wholesome]
Summary: The night shift barista, Kimi, greets you as a new customer to the Muchuu Café, she works in a cat café and her cat Jessi is excited to meet you and so Kimi is happy to not only make your acquaintance but share her interests with you too. You like keeping her company as you sip your drink and get to know each other.
  • Ok to monetize, feedback is welcome :) about 630 words. I don't know how to write long scripts yet. and i think my titles are kinda meh....anyway Thank you for reading 🙂
Scene Start
{crickets nighttime ambience}
{Weighted boots walk toward the door, opens to a chime of the bell of the cafe, walk in two steps door closes}
Kimi: “Hi! Please have a seat and I'll be right with you.”
{and while being greeted walks to a table and sits down.}
{weighted boots walk over with light jingly jewelry, Kimi walks over}
Hey how are ya?
.---
Not bad is always pretty good to me 🙂
I am always happy to see a new customer..
I’ve never seen you here before…
.---
Oh! It’s your first time.
Well then, Welcome to Muchuu Cafe! I’m Kimi.
What can I get you to drink?
{cat meows at Kimi}
*giggle*, this is Jessi…it seems like she likes you and wants to be introduced
She is so silly sometimes.
Ya mind if she sits on your shoulder?
Ok great!
Here she is…
{purring sfx begin}
Wow she really likes you…her purrs are so loud..
So uh..yeah…I enjoy hanging out with people Jessi recommends.
You are definitely a heartbreaker..
.---
I-i meant that in a good way hehe
So uh yeah…your d-drink?
I don’t know why I stuttered, sorry what would-

What do I recommend?
Well we have a new Japanese dark roast blend that is amazing with a dash of french vanilla
It has a nice flavor and just enough sweetness.
If you're trying to stay up late tonight I recommend it with a matcha shot.
There are also some delicious cakes to sweeten the deal. My favorite is the strawberry cake pop. it really is “melt in your mouth” amazing…

Just the coffee for now?

Great..i'll be right back
{speaker turns away to start walking, speaker is called back}
Hm?! oh yes, I can make it like I would for myself. *giggle*
Give me a moment and I'll have it ready

You're very welcome.
{cafe ambience, making drink sounds, walks back with drink}
Do you mind if I sit with you? You look so interesting that I just feel drawn to you. Who knows, maybe I will want to paint you.
I’m a painter and mainly work on surrealist stuff but occasionally I’ll sketch a face or two. Just very interesting sweet mysterious faces like yours.

What makes your face mysterious?...well it- it's mainly your eyes. I can tell they are not only beautiful and bright but they are filled with such depth of thought. I can only imagine that what you're thinking is supremely smart…what did you do before coming here?

That’s awesome!… you’re writing a script for an anime! I love anime, I just finished Attack on Titan and it was just the most amazing heart warming adventure.
How long have you been writing? Is it only scripts or other stories too?! I love stories: mysteries, sci fi, and fantasies are my favorites. Sorry I am rambling so much I’m excited…so my question of how long?

Amazing that you’ve dedicated so much time! I think commitment to anything is pretty great. Makes you feel like you have a purpose and plenty of creativity to share with people. Well that’s what it’s like for me at least. I am so excited for you. Is that why you came in tonight to take a break from writing?

Mhmm, I understand.
Are you…enjoying your drink? I told them to make it the special way, with whipped cream. The sugar high is totally worth it. I had a wonderful sugar high yesterday after work and I read the entire book Meta Scilon 5 by Desislava..it's an action adventure sci fi with the wonderful love story of Thessa and James; gosh I love those two; they truly are meant to be together…*sigh*

Hmmm, I’m just curious. Do you live nearby?

Ah, ok I ask because…I was going to watch some anime after work and I figured why not invite you to come over? If that’s not being too forward…I normally don’t ask my customers this but I really want to be friends…Will you join me for an anime night?

2024.06.05 10:30 Fantastic_Set8169 How to tell if I am on probation still?

2024.06.05 10:30 StandingSloth New edh/returning mtg player help upgrading Mishra pre-con

Hey everyone! I used to play mtg when I was in middle school/highschool like 10 years ago for a couple years and stopped during Dragons of Tarkir. I mainly just played standard back then. After graduating school and having some free time now I’ve been playing some arena and wanting to get back into it. I picked up Mishra’s Burnished Banner from my LGS earlier this week and since then played a couple games on spelltable until my LGS has their next event. I’m having fun with the deck, still trying to figure out what playstyles I like, but I do already want to upgrade this pre-con. Although the deck is fun it just seems like it is a little too slow and not really able to actually win games besides maybe against another full pre-con. I have been looking into it a good amount and have 20-30 card I’m considering putting into the deck but the problem is I can’t really tell which ones are more important than others and which ones I should take out in place of them. I’m trying not to spend too much, maybe around $30-80 for now. I also don’t think I want to play Gonti’s or Mindslaver because I think they’re kinda lame and don’t want people to hate me lol.
If there’s anyone who would be willing to help a new edh and returning mtg player upgrade my first pre-con I would greatly appreciate it:). Either leave a comment with some suggestions on the biggest things I need to add/take out or send me a DM so we can talk about it a little more in-depth:).

2024.06.05 10:30 Agreenfield0602 Isotta Fraschini Vs Vanwall

Isotta Fraschini Vs Vanwall
I thought I'd do a comparison between the performances of Isotta Fraschini and Vanwall across the first 3 rounds of the WEC in 2023 (Vanwall) and 2024 (Isotta Fraschini)
I split the comparison into two sections , the average defecit of all the drivers and the deficit of the quickest driver at each round, which were Dillmann at all rounds for Vanwall and Vernay at all rounds for Isotta Fraschini.
It's also worth noting that only Round 3 is at the same circuit. That's why I've used percentages to eliminate differences in lap time.
Isotta Fraschini are definitely having the better start to the season, with Vernay getting closer to the front each round. Vernay was within 2 percent of the top drivers at Spa which is strong progress. It's ashame they don't have 2 other decent drivers to back him up. I genuinely think they could challenge Lamborghini and maybe Peugeot with 3 experienced endurance drivers.
It will be interesting to see how Isotta Fraschini do at Le Mans, I'm hoping they can surprise a few people!

🔗Duck Hunting Backpack with Large Storage and Carry Comfort

https://preview.redd.it/xqk7gjzjrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=54a5b4092d5ce9e535d8d61ec5dd2a8460f80c41
The ALPS OutdoorZ Dark Timber hunting backpack is like having a trusty assistant on your hunting adventures. I've been using it for weeks now, and it's made a significant difference on the trails. The first thing that stood out to me was the versatility – you can take this bad boy anywhere and it still feels comfortable, even when carrying heavier loads.
The side compression straps are a game-changer, making the backpack easier to handle when carrying bulky or larger items. The fully-loaded pockets ensure that all my essentials are easily accessible and organized. The adjustable sternum strap and padded shoulder system provide an excellent fit for a wide range of body types.
However, there's a trade-off: the zippers are loud – be prepared to make some noise if you find yourself in proximity to wildlife. But the trade-off? It's practically invisible, thanks to the Mossy Oak Country DNA camo pattern.
One minor detail I've noticed is that the pockets are not designed to accommodate larger water bottles, but the side meshes are plenty for smaller ones. The bladder is a welcomed feature for long treks, but it's not included – something to keep in mind when ordering.
Overall, I believe this hunting backpack is a fantastic choice for those seeking the right balance between storage and comfort. It's perfect for storing all my hunting gear, and it's comfortable to carry even when fully loaded. Despite the few minor drawbacks, I'm genuinely satisfied with the ALPS OutdoorZ Dark Timber backpack, and I'll definitely be using it on my future hunting trips.

🔗Versatile Hunting Backpack with Multiple Storage Features

https://preview.redd.it/79cyzzakrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c1fa98be3d587cdd25c8a8eb17d98a80adc1ddde
Recently, I found myself in need of a reliable hunting backpack that could hold all the essentials for my next trip. I happened upon the Insights Element Day Pack Mossy Oak Bottomland and figured it was worth a try. This backpack isn't just durable but also quiet, thanks to its tricot fabric.
The TS3 front panel system is truly a game-changer, allowing me to use its three different pocket options to help stay organized on my adventure. The compression-molded gear shield is a great feature that keeps my gear protected from external damage and weather. One downside was that the hidden rain fly is a bit harder to manage than some other covers I've used, but overall, it does a great job of shielding my belongings.
Weighing only 3 lbs. , this backpack is perfect for any outdoor excursion. Its spaciousness and versatility make it an ideal companion for hunting or camping. A minor inconvenience was the lack of an internal hydration hook, but the exterior opening for the hydration tube was still a useful feature.
Despite a few shortcomings, this Insights Element Day Pack has become my go-to when setting off on a hunting trip. Its various features, such as the tree stand shelf and basket system, make it the perfect hunting backpack for both beginner and seasoned hunters.

🔗Duck Hunting Backpack with Optifade Timber Camo - Durable and Practical Storage Solution

https://preview.redd.it/c16ztankrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17b9a35b788f5d6454d1d47b95ddeb08fa2d445b
I've been using the Rig 'Em Right Stump Jumper Backpack for my duck hunting adventures, and it has definitely been a game-changer. This small but mighty bag is designed specifically for the waterfowler looking for a compact pack to take to the blind, and it has managed to impress me with its durability and versatility.
The main highlight of this backpack for me was its large main compartment and two mid-size compartments. It's perfect for carrying all the essentials I need while maintaining a manageable size that doesn't weigh me down. And speaking of carrying it, the padded shoulder straps and back support make it super comfortable to wear even during long hunts.
The Stump Jumper Backpack also has a few nifty features that make it easier to use in the field. Its clear internal pockets allowed me to easily spot my items during a rushed hunt, and the ammo pocket, sunglasses pocket, and drink holder pocket were always handy when I needed them most.
However, there's one aspect of this bag that could use some improvement – it only has one strap, which makes carrying it awkward while wading. But overall, I'd say this backpack is a great choice for anyone looking for a smaller, comfy, and efficient bag for their duck hunting adventures.

🔗Duck Hunting Waterproof Backpack with EVA Straps

A few weeks ago, I went on a hunting trip, and I decided to bring this Non-Typical huntother Daypack Edge OSFM. As a seasoned hunter, I have been through my fair share of hunting bags, but this one took me by surprise.
Firstly, the dimensions of this bag are relatively compact, fitting perfectly in my car trunk. But what surprised me the most was how much storage space it offered. This packing marvel was a game-changer for me.
Now, the feature that I found especially useful was the hydration tube pocket. I could conveniently carry my water bottle, which made me more focused as I didn't have to worry about running out of water midway through the day. And the hydration bladder pocket just made it even more convenient.
While I had an overall positive experience with this bag, it wasn't a walk in the park. The shoulder straps, although comfortable, could have been better. I found myself readjusting the straps more than a few times due to its harshness.
All in all, this Non-Typical huntother Daypack Edge OSFM is a great addition to any hunter's gear list. It's not perfect, but it's pretty darn close.

🔗Waterproof Camo Hunting Backpack with Rain Cover

https://preview.redd.it/ljeyf5clrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2bd9527f0ead96d7a73bc5001935945ed806aef4
For the past few months, I've been using the TideWe Hunting Backpack, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer in the world of duck hunting. As someone who frequently spends time outdoors, I've found myself in some challenging weather conditions, and this pack has been my trusty companion through it all. The rain cover is a lifesaver, ensuring that my gear stays safe and dry, even in the most unexpected downpours.
One of the most appealing features of this backpack is its durability and stealth. It's clear that the designers put a lot of thought into making this pack not only practical but also unobtrusive in the field. The heavy-duty fabric and tough zippers are a testament to their commitment to creating a product that can withstand the rigors of hunting.
The ergonomic design of the TideWe Hunting Backpack is another highlight that I couldn't be happier with. The channeled back paneling provides incredible support, while the padded waist belt ensures comfort throughout the day. The hydration port is a great feature, allowing me to stay hydrated while I'm on the move.
As much as I love this backpack, there were a couple of downsides I encountered. I found that the front compartment could use a bit more space to accommodate a larger saddle platform. Additionally, it would be nice to have some more heavy-duty zippers to ensure the backpack remains secure even when it's bearing the weight of heavy gear.
Overall, the TideWe Hunting Backpack has made an impressive difference in my outdoor experiences, and I have no qualms about highly recommending it to fellow hunters and outdoor enthusiasts who are in search of a reliable, durable, and comfortable pack.

🔗Essential Duck Hunting Shell Pouch

https://preview.redd.it/jdaqgnrlrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=45f345d329a0f1cb0e70b5c6ecc629bffc54e178
I recently decided to give the Drake Swamp Sole Backpack a try, and it has been a welcomed addition to my hunting gear. The hardshell exterior provides both protection and easy access to all of my essential tools. I especially appreciate the zippered storage pouch, soft-lined sunglasses/goggles case, and water bottle pocket. The backpack's cargo storage is quite impressive, and I can comfortably fit my shells, extra layers, and other hunting necessities inside.
One feature that stood out during my usage is the large zippers, making it hassle-free to open and close the backpack. Additionally, the mesh pockets on each side have been useful for keeping my coffee mug and loose shells within reach. As a fan of hunting elevated blinds, the backpack's sturdy construction has been perfect for setting it on the ground without any issues.
Despite a lack of a hydration bladder (which is not a deal breaker for me), the backpack's hard shell feature offers great crush protection and keeps my items safe and dry in various conditions. The fair price and excellent quality make it a worthwhile investment for any seasoned or beginner hunter.
Overall, the Drake Hardshell Every Day Pack has proven to be a reliable and versatile hunting backpack that I am enjoying using in my daily life.

🔗Durable Duck Hunting Backpack with Optifade Marsh Camo

https://preview.redd.it/iawe968mrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ae5fae9bbd811502c5a07d9fcbe2eda347007231
I recently used the Rig 'Em Right Refuge Runner Decoy Bag in my latest hunting trip, and it proved to be a game-changer for all my gear. The ergonomic design made it incredibly comfortable to carry and distribute the weight evenly. It was an absolute delight to have a one-stop-shop for all my hunting equipment, from the spinning wing decoy and poles to the shotgun.
One of the standout features was the large gate mouth opening, which allowed for easy stuffing of decoys and other essentials. The mesh fabric proved both durable and lightweight, withstanding the elements and rigorous use. However, one area for improvement could be the cinch straps, which although convenient for tightening the load for stability, seemed to be too tight at times, making it challenging to adjust the volume of the bag when carrying fewer decoys.
Another minor inconvenience was the placement of the shoulder straps and waist belt. They were strategically positioned within the bag, preventing them from making contact with my legs when walking. As someone who prefers hunting on my own and carrying more gear, this backpack became an essential and reliable companion on my adventures.

🔗Versatile Duck Hunting Backpack by Drake Waterfowl

https://preview.redd.it/dxzt78gmrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a66507c721d98649cf2c3eae6999c52230c96b9d
The Non-Typical rucksack by Drake Waterfowl is the ultimate companion for your hunting trips. It proved to be a game-changer as I set out for my last treestand session. Its adjustable straps and padded foam back make it feel like an extension of yourself, ensuring your comfort even if it's a long journey ahead. The hydration bag holder is a feature I found incredibly useful, keeping me hydrated on-the-go without having to worry about space.
However, as much as I enjoyed the outer pocket and two mesh side pockets for storing essentials easily, the bag's design felt a bit too loose at times. While it makes accessibility easier, I wish there were a few smaller compartments for my smaller gear.
The raised foam back padding and comfortable adjustable straps are pros that kept me going. But if it could be a little more snug and a little less open, it might be the perfect hunting gear companion. Nonetheless, it's worth a shot, especially for duck hunting enthusiasts. Its MOLLE straps add a bonus for additional storage. Remember, you're not just hunting, you're living it. Let the Non-Typical rucksack be your partner in the exciting chase.

🔗Durable Waterfowl Hunting Backpack with Easy Access and Adjustable Straps

The Banded Nano Sling Backpack, Realtree Max 7, is a perfect companion for those who love waterfowl hunting. This backpack is specially designed to keep your calls and other hunting gear safe and secure. The bandolier-style pack allows you to easily slide it around to the front for quick, easy access to the main storage compartment.
The 600-denier nylon fabric with a water-resistant finish ensures that your gear stays dry, even in wet conditions. Its durable YKK zippers make it easy to access your items, while the adjustable shoulder and waist straps help you stay comfortable throughout your hunting trip, even when wearing waders or other clothing.
This backpack features six dedicated storage compartments for waterfowl accessories and a built-in zip-lock dry bag for your smartphone, wallet, and other essentials. Additionally, there's a zippered accessory pouch for storing calls and other gear, as well as an elastic water bottle pouch for your favorite beverage. The backpack even includes a zippered hard case for your sunglasses.
Though the shoulder strap shell loops could be more comfortable for left-handed shooters, overall, the Banded Nano Sling Backpack is a solid choice for hunters who value both convenience and durability.

🔗Duck Hunting Backpack for Outdoor Gear

Last hunting season, I decided to try out the Browning Whitetail 1900 Ovix pack for my daily treks. This day pack offers just the right amount of space for a full day's worth of gear and features a harness system with adjustable, padded shoulder straps and waist belt for optimal comfort. The ventilated back panel and sternum strap also help to stabilize the load and support your equipment.
One of the most standout features is the three compartment design. The main compartment has enough room for clothing, food, and essentials, while the secondary compartment is perfect for storing smaller items like ammo or maps. The exterior section on the front has an additional compartment and pockets, providing easy access to your gear.
This pack is constructed using lightweight yet durable materials that withstand the rigors of the outdoors. I also liked the length pockets on each side, which are easy to reach and perfect for larger equipment. The large elastic side pockets are perfect for holding water bottles or trekking poles. The rifle or bow carrier, as well as the zippered pass-through, are great additions that keep your hands free and make it easier to navigate steep slopes.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Browning Whitetail 1900 Ovix pack to anyone looking for a versatile, comfortable, and practical hunting accessory. Whether you're duck hunting in the backcountry or setting up your camp in the treestand, this pack has got you covered.

🔗Speedy Duck Hunting Backpack with Waterproof Compartment

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Banded On-The-Fly Welded Backpack in Realtree Max 7. This backpack truly lives up to its name, offering both speed and style that's perfect for the elite hunter in me.
The most impressive feature is the waterproof main compartment, which kept my gear bone dry even during the wettest of hunts. I also appreciated the lightweight padded shoulder straps, providing both comfort and ventilation during long treks. Another standout feature was the ample main compartment, which made it easy to carry everything I needed, while the side pocket was great for grabbing quick items on the go.
The sunglass pocket in the main compartment was also a nice touch, keeping my eyewear safe and easily accessible. Overall, this backpack combines functionality, durability, and style in a way that I've never experienced before, making it the perfect companion for all my hunting adventures.

🔗Performance Waterfowl Hunting Backpack

I recently spent a day in the field with the Performance Waterfowl Work Station when I went duck hunting. This backpack was great to have with me - it was sturdy and carried all my necessary gear without weighing me down. The adjustable and detachable shoulder strap made it easy to move around and access its contents.
One of the best features was the quick release buckles that allowed me to quickly open the main compartment whenever I needed something. The construction of this bag was also top-notch, with its Tricot Max-5 Realtree Camo trim and 1000 denier nylon material, which ensured it would withstand the rough conditions of my hunting trip.
While the bag wasn't as large as I hoped, it still had plenty of storage space for my essentials. The various interior and exterior pockets kept everything organized and in its place. Overall, the Performance Waterfowl Work Station made a great companion for my duck hunting adventure.

🔗Durable Duck Hunting Backpack with Padded Shoulder Straps

As a seasoned duck hunting enthusiast, I've recently had the chance to try Avery's Waterfowler's Day Pack, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations in many ways. The most notable feature for me was the ergonomic fit, which kept me comfortable throughout my hunting adventures. Thanks to the padded, breathable mesh back support and adjustable shoulder straps, I didn't break out in that unpleasant, damp sweat that sometimes accompanies the outdoors.
One of the main reasons I chose this pack was the durability, and Avery did not disappoint with their use of 900D DuraMax water-resistant fabric. It's perfect for the unpredictable weather conditions we often face in the field. The two large zippered main compartments provided ample space for the essentials, and the four zippered accessory compartments kept things organized and easy to access.
However, the product description doesn't mention a crucial issue I faced - the braided top-side handle, which is typically a must-have in this type of equipment, seemed somewhat flimsy and unstable. It didn't provide the level of security or convenience I had hoped for.
In summary, the Avery Waterfowler's Day Pack excels in terms of comfort, durability, and organization, but could benefit from improvements in the handle's quality and stability. Overall, it's an exciting addition to my duck hunting gear.

🔗Duck Hunting Backpack with Tree Strap and Water-Resistant Features

https://preview.redd.it/bxas1wkorp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=569b72ac6f8d31216b5117b1272a7af9bda2c0bd
Imagine you've just hunted an entire morning in the marsh, and all that gear you've accumulated? It's a mess, right? That's precisely what makes this Sitka Timber Pack so remarkable. Think of it as a treehugger who's there for you. Its aluminum gun hook and burly tree strap hold your gun and other essentials high and dry, above the waterline, ensuring they don't get drenched in the process.
The moment you need some organization, you'll love the large main compartment that exposes multiple zippered mesh pockets. No more rummaging through and losing your mind, trying to find one thing or the other. And the welded rubber bottom? A lifesaver for those wet and muddy times. It kept my gear dry, even when we were riding in the bottom of the boat.
And let's talk about the water-resistant cell phone pocket. I mean, who doesn't like their phone to stay safe and sound? Plus, the top entrance gives you easy access to all those compartments. It also makes getting anything at the bottom, like those precious shells, an absolute breeze.
But remember, you'll need to be a bit more careful with the buckles. A few users have suggested they should be made with metal for a more durable solution. Apart from that, this Timber Pack has been my constant companion, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's not just a duck hunting backpack; it's a savior for your gear and sanity in the marsh.

Buyer's Guide

When it comes to duck hunting, having the right gear can make all the difference. One essential piece of equipment is a quality duck hunting backpack. This type of backpack is designed to carry all the necessary items needed for a successful day of duck hunting, such as decoys, ammunition, and clothing. To help you make the right choice, here are some important factors to consider when choosing a duck hunting backpack.

Size and Capacity

https://preview.redd.it/g9z6k11rrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4ad8eef9d1c90e2555c8a7ce9fa9b1d1f49ca91
One of the first things to consider when choosing a duck hunting backpack is its size and capacity. As duck hunters, you'll need to carry a variety of equipment, so you'll want a backpack with sufficient space. Look for a backpack with a minimum of 2,000 cubic inches of storage capacity to accommodate all your gear. If you plan to carry decoys or other large items, consider a larger capacity backpack.

Design and Construction

The design and construction of a duck hunting backpack are important to ensure that it's durable and can withstand the harsh conditions you'll encounter. Look for a backpack with waterproof or water-resistant materials to protect your gear from rain or other elements. The backpack should also be built with reinforced seams and sturdy zippers to prevent tears and damage. Additionally, choose a backpack with padded and adjustable shoulder straps to provide comfortable support during long hunts.

Ease of Access

When you're out in the field, you'll need quick and easy access to your gear. Look for a backpack with multiple compartments and pockets that allow you to organize your items and access them quickly. A backpack with a main compartment, external pockets, and a front-loading or side-loading design will make it easy to locate and retrieve your gear during the hunt.

Comfort and Convenience

A comfortable and convenient duck hunting backpack is essential for a successful day in the field. Look for a backpack with ample padding and ergonomic shoulder straps to distribute the weight evenly and reduce fatigue. Additionally, a backpack with a waist belt can help transfer weight off your shoulders and provide added stability. Consider a backpack with multiple carry options, such as handles and a web belt, for added convenience.

Price and Value

Duck hunting backpacks come in a wide range of prices, so it's essential to find a backpack that provides the best value for your money. Look for a backpack with a balance of features, durability, and comfort within your budget. It's also important to consider the warranty and customer support offered by the manufacturer, as this can impact the overall value of the backpack.

Durability and Maintenance

https://preview.redd.it/rpk6oosrrp4d1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cced3ac6ec0c5cad4ad0a08814c2d4771f80a90
A high-quality duck hunting backpack should be durable and require minimal maintenance. Look for a backpack with reinforced seams and sturdy zippers that can withstand the rough use you'll subject it to. Additionally, choose a backpack with a simple and easy-to-clean design, as this will help extend the life of your backpack. If you can, opt for a backpack with a lifetime warranty or guarantee.

Brand Reputation and Reviews

Another important factor to consider when choosing a duck hunting backpack is the brand reputation and customer reviews. Look for a brand with a strong reputation for producing high-quality gear and a history of satisfied customers. Additionally, read customer reviews to get a better idea of the backpack's performance and durability in real-world situations.
In conclusion, choosing the right duck hunting backpack requires careful consideration of various factors, such as size and capacity, design and construction, ease of access, comfort and convenience, price and value, durability and maintenance, and brand reputation and reviews. By taking the time to research and choose the right backpack for your needs, you'll be well-equipped for a successful day of duck hunting.

2024.06.05 10:29 renmco Work an additional day for free

I feel like I already know the answer to this, but I am a first time nanny, so I want to make sure I'm not being unreasonable.
I am currently a live-in nanny for a family with one child. It was harder for me to find this job than it would be for most because I require sponsorship (I am from a different country). He is a handful to say the least, but I get along good with the parents so I don't mind it too much.
I currently work 4 days a week, from 8am until around 5:30-6pm. The child attends school for 2.5 hours per day, but he has frequent bank holidays or days off, which means I'll work 10+ hours on those days. I make the equivalent of about $100/week, and I do not get paid more for weeks when I work more hours, such as when his school was on holiday for two weeks.
Because the parents work 5 days a week, they have a family member watch him for the fifth day. It is not the same day each week, but they will pick one day per week to take him.
The family member has said they are no longer willing to take him for a full day, and will only take him for 3ish hours at max. The family has asked me to start working the additional day, but has not offered any type of additional compensation. I have told them I am absolutely not willing to do this, and they said we will have a conversation about how to proceed in the next few days.
I really want to put my foot down and say that I will not take him an additional day, even if they were to pay more. This child really struggles with listening and watching him for four days is already so mentally draining for me.
Am I being unreasonable? I really don't want to burn a bridge with this family, because I like them a lot, but I also feel like I'm already working so many hours for such little pay and to add more would be taking advantage.

2024.06.05 10:29 minchi101 Is my relationship over?

Hello! I'm a 22M dating a 21F and this past weekend we went to a party together. Things were good for the majority of theday, I met her little group, we went out and spent the afternoon together. We took a nap and then went shopping for the house party. Things were looking solid as we started to have a few drinks and eventually the party commenced. At some point in the night I ended upstairs with my girlfriend and her friend whose 21st birthday it is came upstairs and basically demanded she be downstairs to socialize with everyone. This happened a second time as well, but this time it was while we were in the middle of having sex and we were basically caught. I had so much to drink at this point that when she left this second time I was in the bed and I was alone and felt terrified.
I have BPD and this feeling was awful, i felt abandoned and alone and even if it isn't real and is just perceived, this deeply upset me. I didn't feel particularly comfortable doing any more partying with these people i didn't know, but i also didn't communicate that as I was no where near sober enough to do so. My girlfriend had came back up once or twice to see me and check on me but I really do not remember much.
At some point she was upstairs with her friend who we were partying for, and i heard them talking about wanting some people out and wanting the party to die down. While I was laying there I saw this as an opportunity to get my girlfriend back so i jumped up and said I would throw these people out. Neither my girlfriend or her best friend wanted me to do this, and this is when I lost control of my emotions. I began yelling at her friend, as well as my girlfriend. I was uncontrollably angry at the fact I felt alone and terrified, and in the process of yelling at her friend, she was trying to pull me away and i ended up shoving her away. I feel massive regret for ever touching my girlfriend even if I didn't cause direct pain.
Afterwards, her brother who was at the party told her parents about what I did. My girlfriend told me that he didn't tell them about the shoving part, but they believe I am a criminal and after they found out I yelled at her friend and was emotionally unhinged, they looked up my record and found a 2nd degree assault charge from late 2022. Then they basically told my girlfriend that if she ever sees me again, she will get kicked out.
My girlfriend still says she loves me, and it's clear she has strong feelings for me still. We have talked on the phone the last few days for hours and this feeling of emptiness is becoming really hard for me. I really love this girl and I want to be with her, but her parents don't want me to, and she is in a tough spot now and I don't know how to fix this or what I am supposed to do.
I have scheduled an appointment with my psychiatrist on June 10th. Since this is the first time I'll be trying to seek help for my BPD. I'd also like to in the future attend therapy so I can become better in the future, but it really sucks knowing that it might be too late to save my relationship with the girl I love.
TL;DR I drank too much at a party, I have abandonment issues and when separated from my partner during sex I lost control of my emotions and lashed out verbally at her best friend, and shoved her. Parents know about my aggression and have outlawed her from seeing me.

2024.06.05 10:29 Fantastic_Set8169 Hey guys, Am I still on probation?

2024.06.05 10:29 NightCities13 Game 101 Part 2

The Arena
The tributes rose up into a familiar arena, the amphitheater. Plenty of food, drink, supplies, and weapons were included at the cornucopia.
Beautia was placed in between Ikano (3) and Kinley (6) and looked at a pack of throwing knives near the front of the supplies. Sardonyx was in between Lorena (7) and Miller (9) and a smile crossed his face when he saw a spear up against the wall.
Fabricia was in between Bahia (9) and Nadir (12) and she looked at a set of knives near the corner of the cornucopia. Velour was next to Darya (4) and Esteban (10) and seemed keen to grab a backpack.
Bloodbath
As the timer went down, President Arachne Monty’s voice came over the intercom, telling the tributes that she made no exceptions for tributes attacking Capitol staff. She chastised Creek (4) for his behavior, before telling him that his actions have consequences.
She said that no other tribute would be injured, before Creek’s podium suddenly exploded in a fiery mess. Many tributes began to scream, but the countdown was not paused. Beautia, Sardonyx, Rena, and Acrisius rushed forward and grabbed their weapons, with Acrisius running at a shocked Jessica (12) and snapped her neck.
Chaos ensued as the tributes grabbed weapons and supplies or fled. Fabricia grabbed the knives, right as Mullein (11) fell next to her, a spear in his back. Sardonyx looked at Fabricia, but was distracted by the screams of George (14) as Beautia threw a knife into his head.
Fabricia took advantage of the chaos to grab a bottle of water, and saw Velour grabbing one of the four backpacks right as Miller slashed his spear into Nadir’s neck.
Rena stabbed Linh (14) in the heart, and Fabricia took advantage of the chaos to walk behind Rena and slit her throat. She and Velour then fled, right as Acrisius turned around and saw her body.
He roared in anger, turning to see Beautia stabbing Synergy (3) and Sardonyx spearing Ikano in the heart. All other tributes had left, and the remaining three careers spoke about who could have possibly killed Rena.
Nine cannons sounded, signifying the end of the bloodbath.
Day 1 End
Fabricia and Velour fled until they arrived at a small alcove, hiding there for the moment. Fabricia handed Velour the water bottle, who placed it in the backpack alongside a loaf of bread, a block of cheese, two sandwiches, and two water bottles. Each backpack contained these items.
Velour was about to eat when Fabricia reminded him that they needed to take smaller portions. The two ate two slices of bread each from the loaf, before stowing the rest away. Each also had a sip of water, and Fabricia admitted that she didn’t see the Games lasting very long.
Meanwhile Beautia, Sardonyx, and Acrisius ate and drink some supplies, while discussing a game plan for the rest of the day. Parker and Lorena (both 7) snuck in and grabbed some food and water as the careers talked, but as Lorena fled, Beautia suddenly threw a rock at Parker’s head.
Parker fell to the ground stunned, and Acrisius rushed over and began to beat Parker with his fists until he begged for mercy. Acrisius stabbed Parker in the head, sounding his cannon.
Meanwhile Kinley and Elko (both 6) were seen walking out of the amphitheater. Both were promptly shot by several peacekeepers, their cannon sounded. Fabricia peeked out of their hiding spot, calling Kinley and Elko “poor souls.”
Barack (5) was caught eating large amounts of supplies that he and Adrienne (5) had grabbed, complaining that he as hungry. Adrienne grabbed a nearby stone and brutally beat Barack to death with it, sounding his cannon.
That night, Beautia took a walk, almost coming across Fabricia and Velour. Velour suddenly rushed over, placing his hand over Beautia’s mouth and tightly holding her. Fabricia rushed over with a knife and slit Beautia’s throat, and the two dragged a dying Beautia over to a different spot, before heading back to their hiding spot.
A cannon sounded, and as time passed, Sardonyx realized that Beautia was probably dead. He asked Acrisius who he thought killed her, and Acrisius blamed Adrienne, Lorena, Bahia, Miller, or Esteban. Fabricia and Velour weren’t even mentioned.
That night, Fabricia rested while Velour took first watch, while Acrisius took the first watch and let Sardonyx rest. The photos of Beautia (1), Rena (2), Synergy and Ikano (both 3), Creek (4), Barack (5), Kinley and Elko (both 6), Parker (7), Mullein (11), Jessica and Nadir (both 12), and Linh and George (both 14) showed in the sky, leaving twelve tributes remaining.
Day 2
The next day, Sardonyx awoke to Miller holding a scythe to his throat. He awoke Acrisius by kicking him, and Acrisius snapped Miller’s neck. Sardonyx rushed at a nearby Esteban, spearing him in the heart.
Sardonyx and Acrisius decided to hunt for tributes, and Sardonyx spotted something green in the stands, while Acrisius went after something blue. Sardonyx rushed at Abelia, but right as he was about to kill her, the tiny girl slipped and fell down the stairs, slamming her had on the final step, sounding her cannon.
After Acrisius finished stabbing Darya to death, he was suddenly held down by Velour. Fabricia stabbed Acrisius several times, before the two fled at the sound of Sardonyx. A dying Acrisius told Sardonyx that Fabricia and Velour had killed the other two careers, before his cannon sounded.
A rageful Sardonyx prowled the arena, but only found Bahia, stabbing her in the heart. He then stomped back to the cornucopia, eating and drinking his supplies.
That night, the portraits of Acrisius (1), Darya (4), Bahia and Millet (both 9) Esteban (10) and Abelia (11) were shown in the sky, leaving Sardonyx Kensington of 1, Adrienne Jennings of 5, Lorena Boyce of 7, Fabricia Sands and Velour Boynton of 8, and Wanda Spurlock of 10 remaining.
Family Interviews
The next morning, the families of the tributes were interviewed. The parents and siblings of Sardonyx were first, expressing pride in their family member for making it this far. Sardonyx smiled when he heard his family over the intercom. Dollar reminded Sardonyx to do whatever it took to pull off a win.
Adrienne cried when her parents and six siblings were interviewed, while Lorna cried when she heard her two older brothers wish her luck. Wanda burst into when she heard her parents, siblings, husband, and two children.
Shortly before Wanda’s family was interviewed, Fabricia heard her father and two older brothers wish her luck. Chintz particularly told his only daughter that he was proud of her, causing Fabricia to cry.
Velour heard his mother, father, twin sister and older brother wish him luck, and his mother told him to stay with Fabricia until the last two so that someone from 8 could finally win.
Day 3
After the speeches, Fabricia and Velour went for a walk, spotting Lorena crying. Velour held her down as she begged for her life, while Fabricia stabbed her once in the head, sounding her cannon.
Sardonyx prowled the arena, coming across Adrienne, who stabbed him in the shoulder. Sardonyx roared in pain, stabbing his spear into Adrienne’s heart. A bit of movement was seeing as Fabricia and Velour arrived at the cornucopia, awaiting their final opponent.
Wanda begged for her life, talking about her two children. Sardonyx told Wanda that she “would probably be revived and see then again” before stabbing his spear into her head.
Sardonyx arrived at the cornucopia, and Velour attempted to tackle him to the ground. Sardonyx kicked Velour, and also punched Fabricia to the ground. He lifted Velour, slamming him into the wall and stabbing him in the heart/
Fabricia screamed and rushed at Sardonyx, stabbing him in the chest. Sardonyx roared in pain, tackling Fabricia and beginning to strangle her. Fabricia stabbed Sardonyx in the stomach; and Sardonyx took the knife from her hand and tossed it aside, breaking both of Fabricia’s wrists.
Fabricia tried to fight back more, but with her wrists being broken she was powerless to stop Sardonyx as he strangled her. Fabricia closed her eyes, her cannon sounding as Sardonyx got up and looked at the bodies of the 8s. He began to laugh.
Eighteen year old Sardonyx Kensington of District 1 was announced as the victor of the 101st Hunger Games, and he was evacuated from the arena.
Aftermath
Sardonyx’s injuries healed quickly at the hospital, and he was released after three days. The Capitol seemed to really like Sardonyx, and his interview was received very well.
Sardonyx wore a scarlet suit and cape, and answered Euphemia’s questions, even complimenting the efforts or Fabricia and Velour. He was given the nickname “Scarlet Prince” and really seemed to like his nickname. Sardonyx discussed his eight kills, receiving a standing ovation as he left.
Juliana Ricci spoke positively of the 101st Games, and promised a “fun” and “more interesting” arena the next Games.
Dollar seemed overjoyed that Sardonyx had won, and spent the next year training Sardonyx how to mentor. Sardonyx took Dollar’s place as mentor for 102 onwards.
Sardonyx dated around, eventually married a serious girlfriend named Bellissima Rossi. The two had a son and two daughters together, and lived a happy life in a large mansion Sardonyx bought in a gated community of District 1.
Revivals
Fabricia Sands, Velour Boynton, and Wanda Spurlock were revived. Wanda returned home to her family, having two more children with her husband.
Fabricia married and had four children, while Velour later married and had a son and a daughter.
Fun Facts
Selena Brax was tied up and impersonated by an Irish rebel, who stabbed Ennius to death before killing herself. Ennius became the first Post Reclamation victor to be revived, taking a one year break from his position as commentator to rest.
Alisia got into a hovercraft crash, and wandered the wilds for a week before being rescued by peacekeepers. She made a quick recovery, and even brought back a bear pelt which she wore as a coat alongside her necklace of hearts.
Revivals occurred ever since Game 1, bringing tributes back to life using liquid and a machine created by the now newly discovered man made continent of Pacifica.
Several tributes were abducted by the World Alliance, beginning Panem’s world takeover. As the Second Rebellion and victor deaths never occurred, District 13 was active to threaten the World Alliance with nukes, leading to quick surrender.
The Capitol was revealed to have help making the Games, with the help of District 20, or Canada.

2024.06.05 10:28 Adam-Smasher2077 I’m having issues understanding lodging credit in my contract

So I work for a sketchy property management company as an onsite manager. I’ve seen several shady things done at this company but have held my tongue ‘cause you don’t bite the hand that feeds, right? (I’ve even had a hole in my ceiling since Feb ‘23 that has yet to be repaired) I’m starting to question a few things here and there because of certain things that have been said to me including “you don’t have tenants rights because you’re an employee” when I asked for a copy of my employee contract, which doesn’t sound right but I don’t know a whole lot about this stuff. However, I’m beginning to get fed up because in the last two years, I’ve called out sick maybe 2-3 times (not including COVID because legally I was required to stay away from work until I provided a negative result) but now that I’m planning a 2 week long vacation I’m getting a lot of pushback. Amongst the things that were said to me: 1) upon submitting an email and telling my supervisor, the first things out of his mouth “well I’m going to tell you right now, your request is getting denied” despite my request being at least 4 months in advance. 2) “you’re a part timer, you get no type of paid leave a part from sick leave and you can’t use those hours if you’re not sick.” I know this one carries weight but I’m willing to not be paid for 2 weeks, I don’t get paid a lot anyway. 3) “only full timers can qualify for extended leave” knowing damn well the property I’m located at doesn’t qualify for more than 20 hours a week Lastly and most concerning (and the reason for this post) 4) “being that you live onsite and receive a lodging credit, you’ll owe the company money for this leave”
However I’m confused by that. I’ve gone over my employment agreement and the only things that regard a lodging credit are:
(1c) …Employee shall pay no rent for the unit, although employer will receive a lodging credit against certain wage, obligations as set forth in section (2c) below. (2c) Employee’s pay shall be calculated by multiplying the number of hours of work per pay period [hourly wage here] (subject to overtime laws and less applicable withholdings), to be clear, the lodging credit provided to employee shall be credited toward any applicable minimum compensation requirements. The amount of this credit is subject to change from year to year as authorized by law.
I don’t understand what this means and would like some help. Will provide more information upon request.
