๐Ÿ”—12-inch Premium Straight Wig with Adjustable Glueless Cap for Black Women

https://preview.redd.it/r3zwxgvf0txc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1614a0e6365a15adcf5ce922d2168d02c387a781
I recently gave the Karlami Hair 12-inch Bob Wig a try, and I have to say, I'm quite impressed with the result! The first thing that stood out to me was the invisible lace color, which perfectly blended with my natural hairline, making it seem as though it was truly growing from my head. The lace front was pre-plucked, making it easy to achieve that baby hair effect, concealing the wig's seamless base to create a more natural look.
One of the advantages of this bob wig is its 150% density, providing a full and realistic appearance. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily it allowed me to restyle, with options to curl or dye the wig in any desired manner without experiencing any tangling or shedding. The 3 comb clips at the side and back helped secure it in place during various activities like working out or swimming. The glueless design was also a plus, making it a hassle-free and adjustable option for everyday use.
However, the wig's side part did take some time to get used to, as it created a little space that resulted in my long, fine hair getting caught in it. Additionally, the size of the wig cap might not be suitable for everyone, and a more adjustable feature would have been helpful. But overall, I'm happy with the performance and appearance of this Bob Wig from Karlami Hair. It's a stylish and versatile option for black women looking to enhance their natural hairstyle.

For the past few weeks, I've been using these 12-inch big bouffant curly wigs from SWACC, and I must say, they've been a game-changer in my daily life. One of the first things that stood out to me was their adjustable size - no need for extra pins or tape, making it effortless to put on and take off.
The length of these wigs is perfect for a subtle, yet noticeable hair transformation. At around 11-12 inches (1 cm = 0.39 inches), they're easy to manage and feel incredibly lightweight and comfortable to wear. Not only that, but they're also heat resistant, which means I can style them without worrying about damaging them.
Although some color differences might occur due to varying computer monitor settings, I found the light brown, auburn, and blonde mixed options to be incredibly flattering and versatile. Washing and caring for these wigs couldn't be simpler; a little mild shampoo in cold water, and they come out looking brand new. Overall, I'd highly recommend these SWACC wigs for anyone in the market for a stylish and comfortable hairpiece.

It was like a gift to receive compliments on the realistic hairline, and the wig even made a great present for friends and family.
The Long-Lasting hairstyle feature made it reusable, washable, and perfect for every occasion. Made of heat-resistant synthetic fiber, it felt soft and natural, just like my own hair. Plus, the adjustable cap and combs provided a perfect fit that most people could easily wear.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon these lovely Kalyss 12" Brown Highlights Synthetic Hair Wigs while browsing online. Buyer's Guide

Wigs are an excellent option for those seeking a change of hairstyle or wanting to experiment with different looks. 12-inch wigs provide the flexibility and length to create various styles while maintaining comfort and convenience. In this guide, we will explore essential features, considerations, and advice for purchasing the best 12-inch wig suited to your needs.

Quality and Material of the Wig

https://preview.redd.it/l0rwamii0txc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ab75273bdf0549ebb4ef60790acd734e9717b8a
When shopping for 12-inch wigs, pay close attention to the quality and materials used. High-quality wigs are generally made from natural human hair or synthetic fibers that closely resemble real hair, ensuring a natural look. Look for wigs with silky, smooth fibers that do not tangle easily and have a soft, comfortable texture. Additionally, check the durability of the wig, as it should withstand frequent styling and washing without shedding or damaging.

Wig Cap Style

Wig caps come in different styles, such as open-cap, monofilament, and lace front. Open-cap wigs are ideal for those with sensitive scalps, as the fabric is breathable and comfortable. Monofilament wigs offer a more natural-looking appearance as the strands grow downwards from the cap, giving the impression of hair growing directly from the scalp. Lace front wigs are an excellent choice for those seeking a seamless, natural appearance, as the lace replaces the forehead area for a more authentic look.

Wig Style and Length

Consider the type of hairstyle you desire when purchasing a 12-inch wig. There are multiple wig styles to choose from, such as straight, curly, wavy, or even bob-length options. Ensure the wig style you select complements your face shape and personal preferences. Additionally, a 12-inch wig will provide ample length to style into different updos, braids, or chic half-updos.

https://preview.redd.it/qvvbs3wi0txc1.jpg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1ffc5b0f649fa9bb1aec637f3a172ec7622cd300

Wig Maintenance

To maintain the longevity of your 12-inch wig, proper care is essential. Read the manufacturer's instructions for recommended washing, styling, and storage. Gently brush the wig to prevent tangling and damage. Avoid washing the wig with hot water, as this could cause the fibers to weaken and break. It's essential to use a wig-specific shampoo and conditioner to ensure that the fibers remain soft and hydrated.

Budget and Affordability

Lastly, consider your budget when purchasing a 12-inch wig. While high-quality natural hair wigs may be more expensive, there are still excellent options available for those on a budget. Research and compare synthetic options that offer a similar appearance and feel to natural hair wigs. Look for sales and discounts to get the best value for your money.

2022.10.22 07:53 hiarthairofficial Bouffant Hair- You Can Do It Yourself At Home

Bouffant Hair- You Can Do It Yourself At Home
The female Bouffant hairstyle is known for its large, finely sculpted shapes. The style was created in the 18th century as a way to add volume for girls with thinning hair that made it difficult to create volume on their heads. The bouffant, from the French word "bouffante" (meaning puffed up), quickly became a fixture of Western European culture. By the 1950s in America, bouffant hair became popular with celebrities such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy interpreting the classic style. If you are looking for a new way to style your hair or are considering attending a themed party, then updo hairstyles for women can be of great help. Here's a collection and tutorial of updo hairstyles worth trying in 2022.

01 Classic Bouffant

https://preview.redd.it/g2w4ddm3qav91.png?width=364&format=png&auto=webp&s=248df47591f80a4d2436a51fb4166543c22073c8
With hair piled high on her head in a rounded shape, the classic updo features a strong silhouette and sky-high volume. Adding hair accessories is a great way to trick more height and create a fuller look. For a more casual look, pull the face-covering part out of the bun and curl the ends.

02 The Modern Bouffant

https://preview.redd.it/n7albpo4qav91.png?width=396&format=png&auto=webp&s=c6a372646f193bbe6f621c514782957b2360b14f
A pompadour doesn't need to be all vertical. Create volume in the back by teasing the part and keeping the twisted ponytail flush with the head. Play up the natural, looser texture of your hair by forgoing the smoothing step and giving the top part a messy, lived-in feel. To achieve a similar effect, spray more styling spray to finish the style.

03 Baby Bouffant

https://preview.redd.it/7we5rhu5qav91.png?width=392&format=png&auto=webp&s=3bf795d93c71432908edfe01ca26da16ebaecaf8
If the wearability of updos is in question, Anne Hathaway's baby bun should put the doubt to rest. Like an old-fashioned pompadour from the early 1900s, the small half of the pompadour at the back of the head creates volume without being too big. To achieve a similar effect, use bobby pins in the same color as your hair to help disguise the puffs and create a more seamless look.

04 Curly Bouffant

https://preview.redd.it/ot3k5d87qav91.png?width=396&format=png&auto=webp&s=dc2cd540c1290c6c52c2f38fcaedbad7ae9a2e94
Embrace natural curls and volume, like Tinashe's kind of piled-up updo. Prep hair with a moisturizing curl-setting gel and finish by detangling and flicking hair with your fingers to pull out flyaways and curls around the nape of the neck and hairline.

05 Headbanded Bouffant With Sideswept Bangs

https://preview.redd.it/m9bzizi8qav91.png?width=395&format=png&auto=webp&s=89115c340ed7476ef96075aa52c3fcd592470edb
For Paris Fashion Week 2021, Cardi B wore an updo hairstyle with a purple headband and matching sunglasses, as well as a purple outfit and diamond jewelry. Give your updo a little extra oomph with a deep side sweep in the front and a thick headband at the base of your head. Keep the bottom half loose instead of twisting it up to give it a 1960s feel, and pin the entire top part of your head up like a half-puff.

06 Puffy Bouffant

https://preview.redd.it/r7yohzf9qav91.png?width=393&format=png&auto=webp&s=5b9f21483222ac5bf148139e49424b2bccff35a3
Teasing the top hair into a subtle updo shape and framing the face with dark, side-swept bangs add some wow factor to a simple bun. This results in a double-humped silhouette that blurs the end of the updo and the start of the Bouffant.

How to Create a Bouffant at home?

Do you find the whole Bouffant hair daunting? This is a fun way to sport a vintage hairstyle without looking too over the top. This sweet and voluminous hairstyle is also a great way to spice up your daytime or evening look. Here's a step-by-step guide to creating your own Bouffant hair at home.

Supplies.

- Fine tooth comb - 1pc - Hair clips - Hairspray

Method.

https://preview.redd.it/3oogs2jaqav91.png?width=395&format=png&auto=webp&s=2a3b05211080c5247f9b9d1144d5d3d75cc4630d
Step 1: Scrunch from slightly dirty hair: Place one finger next to your ear, draw a vertical line from one ear to the other, cut from the front, and clip up for later use. Update: Pull the rest of your hair over your head and tie it into a ponytail with a hair tie. (Next you're basically just doing a messy high bun.) Holding the ponytail in one hand and the hairband in the other, pull your hair almost to the hairband. Leave the last few inches of hair out so that once you twist the hairband, you'll have a ringlet of hair.
Step 2: Now grab the middle of the large loop of hair with your fingers through the ponytail and pull the hairband up to your now broken bun, twist again and pull the hairband all the way to the other side. You should be left with a messy head of hair that is well secured. You can use bobby pins to secure the sides a bit if you'd like.
Step 3: Pull the front of your hair down and divide it in half, then divide the two halves in half so you are left with two quarters. Comb through your bottom quarter to flatten it out, then wrap it under and over the bun, securing to hold it in place.
Step 4: Do the same with the other bottom quarter. Next take one of your top quarters (brush the back slightly first if you'd like) and smooth it over your head diagonally towards the other side of your bun, then walk around and re-step and secure.
Step 5: Do the same thing for the last quarter, using your fingers to loosen a bunch at the top, then spray on some hold hairspray. If you have a two-way mirror, check over your head to make sure there isn't too much flight throughout the place and make sure you separate the sections to get a really structured look and you're done!

How to take down a Bouffant?

Creating a Bouffant hairstyle requires a lot of backcombing and styling products, which means the process of taking it down can be just as tedious as putting it up. Be gentle and patient when combing your hair before the shower to avoid unnecessary breakage and shedding. Water can potentially dry out hair and make it more difficult to detangle, so take your time combing and smoothing before getting it wet. Since the haircut (and the detangling process) can cause damage to the hair, it is recommended that a moisturizing hair mask be used to restore the hair after detangling.

2021.07.17 10:28 visualsnstuff Hair theory for pure Romantics: Kibbe's recommendations are actually about a short haircut

" HAIR Should be soft and stylized with a wispy silhouette framing the face. It should have a set, somewhat ornate look, but should never be stiff. The cut must be layered to accentuate curl or wave, as well as to hold a set effectively. Perms are possible for you, but your hair will still need setting to avoid a messy look.
Avoid: Geometric shapes with angular edge. sleek, smooth styles, blunt-edged, or blow-dry. Overly layered hair (too messy). Wash 'n wear styles. Stiff, bouffant styles. "
In my year or a few with Kibbe, I was always taught, and thus believed myself, that what is best for Rs, is a somewhat medium to long curly/wavy hair with layers & face framing bangs. That the above mentioned wispy silhouette means that, and then the framing is meant for bangs... not for a framing silhouette itself. I myself also started growing my hair in the common thought way from my previous weird blunt pixie cut. So, while I can say I look more accomodating to my ID now with the softness & more usual feminine look, I cannot say I look in any way more "myself" or even greatly better. I look almost like any other young woman there is, and actually kinda weighed down versus when I had my boycut. Mine's at the shoulders now, so it is not even that long yet, but already, with my shoulder area, jaw and neck getting hidden, I'm getting drowned. I would need lots of hair growth and styling to make this work and even then, the focus is not on me - as should be when focusing in Kibbe styling - but on just my hair.
This got me thinking - does long hair really even suit me? What is the actual best haircut for Romantics? I did some quick visual research, first on myself and then on verified Rs with their various hairdo's.
Here's a board I made to visualize the difference with long hair and short(or long on a updo) on verified Rs. I tried to find relatively similar-effort looks on both sides as to not manipulate thinking with bad vs great styling. There are some that are not up to recommendations, but the focus here is mainly on length & silhouette and the vibe/feel it gives out.
Long hair can be, and often is, incredibly beautiful and my thinking is, that it doesn't matter that much who's wearing it when it's healthy, shiny and well groomed. But when it comes to hair not being your style's & essences centerpiece, but instead it framing your own lines, long hair doesn't seem to be the "IT" thing for Romantics. I do like some of the lighter curled long looks over the short ones (in particular to Christina Ricci's & Kate Winslet's movie looks) in the board, but I'm imagining seeing them live would change my mind, would I see as-well-styled short style.
I see that long hair works on R well when either part of it is put up (half-updo) or all of it, or having all the hair in the back as for showing the neck, shoulders & jawline. If it hides these features, Romantics simply don't have enough frame to withstand it and get a bit or if not even a lot lost in the luscious locks. It looks like there's too much going on, like the shortness & softness of the Yin frame is being hidden with drama that doesn't belong to the wearer. Long bob is better than over shoulder length, but like with Marilyn, I cannot say it's nearly as good as her shortest looks.
So what's the take here for typing? I think, this kind of finding can help you type Romantics as it seems to be often quite a difficult thing for many - Yin can look sometimes so different to the usual idea of it. Does the celeb/person you want to type that has Yin qualities look fresher & more themselves with shorter hair? Or do they need more length to really accentuate their lines and to look their best? Is long hair with half-updo's somewhat lighter and better than the usual long do (even with layers)? Or do are they just at home with lots of hair and look a bit off/chopped with shorter 'do?
As we knoqw, Yin is short(or as by Kibbe, delicate), rounded and soft. Short lines in the body would mean similarly short lines in hair as well. Makes sense, right?
Anyways, I'm off to hair chopping - ridiculously long hair has always been my dream but I've never gone past my chest length and often had a very short pixie just intuitively (though not very femininely). Now I can kinda see why.
Hopefully this was helpful to some. Some of you might have realized this already with the nature of how Yin/Yang lines work. For me it took quite some time, but I'm happy to find out it now later than never.

2017.11.13 18:46 minniesnowtah Massive Curly Hair Updo Thread

I recently learned that our massive updo thread post was deleted :(
I did some digging to find the original and here's a repost! I would like to credit the OP but respect that they may have deleted it for a reason and will refrain from naming them here.
While we're at it... what else do you all have up your sleeves? :D Let's take the opportunity to add more!
Most of these styles work for all types of curls, although some would need to be tweaked a bit to work with super dense 4a-c hair. They can all be done with medium or long hair, as long as enough bobby pins/ponytails/etc are used to keep hair in place. Again, super short hair (chin length or shorter) could probably do some of these, as long as they experimented a little.
These styles can also usually be done with damp hair! But for all of them, make sure you have product in your hair to keep frizz and flyaways at bay, and for some of you, consider setting the style in place with hair spray or a little extra gel.
Feel free to post questions or ask for advice - but remember, everyone has different hair thickness, density, length, etc - so if some of these don't work for you or don't turn out exactly right, don't give up! Try variations on the style and maybe it will work out :D!
Okay, here we go:
PHEW.
Well, good luck all. You can obviously skip any curling steps that are included in these tutorials, and remember to experiment - everyone's hair is different and will take different amounts of bobby pins or hair ties or whatnot! Feel free to post pictures in the comments if you give any of these a try and fall in love :3

2016.02.12 19:46 moonfaerie24 How do you keep curls/hair looking nice when you have to wear a "hat" at work?

At my job I sometimes have to go in to surgical cases, and in the OR you have to wear a "hat" like this.
My hair always ends up being a mess when I'm done, regardless of how it was before I put it in the hat (ponytail, updo, pineapple, loose, etc.). Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing and know a way to help?
I am allowed to have something under the hat (some people wear something like this or this underneath), so I was thinking if maybe I "plopped" my hair then covered it it may help. But I plop at home with an old t-shirt and it doesn't exactly look professional. Maybe if I bought a new plain white shirt and tucked in the sleeves properly it would be alright? I've never tried plopping my dry hair before, so I don't know how well that works to "preserve" curls.
Anyway, any advice would be helpful, thanks!

2010.10.28 08:22 grein When Sarah met Christine - Political fan fiction.

WHEN SARAH MET CHRISTINE
Two decades before they became Tea Party spokesmodels, Sarah Palin and Christine O'Donnell had a chance encounter, at a 1991 Republican fundraiser, that would change both their lives forever.
The wink. It was the last thing Christine remembered seeing before blacking out.
And now she had woken up half-naked on a stone slab, encircled by a ring of burning candles. Her clothes were gone; only a leather loincloth and a steaming pile of โ€” could it be? โ€” bloody intestines covered her. What happened?
The memory came back to her in a fog. Before she'd passed out, Christine had been swanning around the Cheesecake Factory, at a cocktail reception following a College Republicans pro-life rally. Across the room, she'd spotted a bouffanted beauty clad in a petal-pink Versace power suit. Christine couldn't help dropping her gaze to the swell of the lady's bosom, to read the nametag pinned there: "Sarah P."
Their eyes had locked; the one called Sarah flashed a barracuda grin. Hypnotically drawn to her, Christine walked over. She stammered: "Your skin. It's so . . . perfect. What's your secret?"
The restaurant must have been awfully noisy, because it almost sounded like Sarah had replied, "Oh, golly, I just bathe in the blood of unbaptized infants. Abortions โ€” tsk โ€” such a waste of babies." Christine nodded, transfixed.
Trailing a lacquered nail across Christine's hand, Sarah handed her a glass of something green. Christine sipped her drink. It tasted like Bartles & Jaymes, with a hint, underneath, of decay. And then Sarah had winked at her, and the world swam and went black.
Now Christine sat up. The stone slab beneath her seemed alive โ€” pulsing.
She heard a low growl, and in the flickering candlelight, she glimpsed a shadowy figure in the doorway. Her brain first parsed it as a coal-black pit bull with lipstick-red jowls. But no. It was a woman โ€” the woman. Sarah.
Sarah strode into the room, wearing nothing but a bikini made of skinned wolf heads (though she'd kept her updo and glasses). She carried a gingham-covered wicker basket. "Welcome to our midnight picnic. Sorry about the blood," Sarah chirped, hopping onto the gore-slick altar. "Moose entrails, doncha know โ€” can't summon the dark lord without 'em!"
"How did I get here?" Christine asked woozily.
"I slipped you some of this," said Sarah. She pulled a tiny glass vial from her furry bra. "Love potion โ€” knocks you out, then makes you want to rut like a bitch in heat. Oh, and it'll also turn you into a witch. Like me."
"Oh?" Christine asked, absently stroking one of the wolf heads. "What is being a witch like?"
"I've seen things you wouldn't believe," Sarah murmured into Christine's ear. "I've seen the worm god crush the holiest men in his terrible maw. I've seen the demon Pazuzu cripple entire nations with plague and famine. I've seen Russia, from my house."
Sarah whipped the cloth off the picnic basket, revealing a pile of foot-long black dildos inscribed with hideous runes. Christine ached with a carnal longing she did not recognize โ€” it terrified her. She could not control herself any longer. She heard herself moan, "Drill, baby, drill."
Somewhere in the distance, a wolf howled.
I do not know who wrote this, but it was obviously not me.
